  1. <p>Thanks, this is super helpful! For IPW the issue wasn't some mid lower cards, it was more to keep an eye out on who I was scouting for. I picked up Acid (because he's Awesome and who doesn't love him) and threw him into the main event only for it to tank because of that "crowd booed him" and I was shocked. </p><p> </p><p> This will really help out when trying to scout new talent or identify those on the roster who need protection.</p>
  2. Like many of the stats its importance lies on what is needed. You don't need star quality for a tiny promotion because chances are the pop cap is still going to be high enough.
  3. I was playing around with IPW (Anti-Establishment Hardcore) and picked up Acid off the wire and the crowed booed him. Acid. The high flyer of DaVE!! Maybe I missed it somewhere but I don’t think the product warns you about certain styles being bad for althe crowd. I recall in 2016 that PSW also had that issue with seemingly random wrestlers and I never understood the mechanics underpinning that vocal crowd hates on X.
  4. Can’t wait Jaded! These are great ways for new people (or people returning from an 8 year absence) to learn more about the C-Verse.
  5. <p>I am itching to pull the trigger on this game but until then I really appreciate the input you all are providing with your predictions. I have some big storylines planned but my time with TEW has always been that the storylines in my head don’t necessarily work out in practice. </p><p> </p><p> I am also open to feedback. I have critical things that I want to focus on but if you want to hear more or less about other stuff by all means let me know. I often start out intending to be slim and trim but as you can see from the roster write up sometimes I can get a little verbose. The “preview of the next show” was originally six pages of drama that I cut down to just the important blurbs. </p><p> </p><p> Until next Thursday’s release though I’ll just be posting backstage stuff. One thing that I find really interesting is how chill IPW is compared to DAVE, PSW or GSW. The stars are all professional or mellow, their finances are really sound, their roster is full of mediocre-but-fine-for-their-level so they don’t have to worry about roster raids from bigger feds. They don’t push death matches so injuries aren’t quite as big of an issue. </p><p> </p><p> I don’t know if that kind of stability is a good thing or a bad thing. My bread and butter is a lot more chaotic like DaVE or the ‘97 mods AMW. With everything set up to fail from the beginning I don’t have to worry that my failure is because of my bad choices <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

If so maybe have awards for 5/10/15 friends or even just 5/10/15 relationships period. </p><p> </p><p> An award for finding Positive/Negative chemistry as while it is RNG you can also have a mission of wrestling against as many different people as possible which would be fun to chase for awhile.</p><p> </p><p> There are some milestone achievements like:</p><p> Sign your first written contract, Create a child company, sign a televised PPV, break $1,000,000 in the bank, draw X number of viewers for PPV or Show, hit</p><p> 25/50/75/100 popularity in [insert region].</p>
  7. For attributes my recommendation is to not allow them at all and instead rely on rolling randomly for them. If you try to categorize them and balance them out you will go nuts trying to avoid loopholes or killer combinations. If you create a system, people will naturally try to push it. There aren't any attributes that are "required". Just give your guy a Professional attitude and call it a day.

  9. Storyline Storytime IPW Storylines For authorized viewing only Gil, here story blurbs you wanted for the website. -V Blackfriar's Challenge vs. vs. Aldous Blackfriar vs. Deacon Darkhold vs. Lug Phelon After winning the IPW Championship for the first time his Satanic Majesty has fought off challenger after challenger. Most notably Deacon Darkhold, backed by the Dark Watch and Lug Phelon, the raging Irish Warrior. Blackfriar is looking to hold through February to set a new IPW record by being a title holder for a full year, a feat nobody has yet accomplished. Battered and bloodied by repeated Dark Watch attacks, can Blackfriar hold on against his former cult? Can he hold out against the bloodthirsty Lug Phelon? A Matter of Respect vs JOJI vs. Frantic Ali The Wild Man from Japan, JOJI, has had some impressive victories over the past year, even getting a win against Hustle Muvva. Now JOJI is setting his sights on the main event by challenging Frantic Ali but Ali has repeatedly turned him down saying that JOJI is too small of game to worry about. Now JOJI is on the warpath taking increasingly greater risks to prove himself worthy of facing Frantic Ali and being a headliner for IPW. The Minnesota Miracle & vs. & Minnesota Awesome vs. Canadian Hardcore Last August there was a shocking upset as the high flying Perry and Clark defeated Otis and Sasquatch in a TLC match. Since then Otis and Sasquatch have been on a rampage demanding a shot back at the title and destroying everything in their path. So far the Minnesotans have been able to avoid the giant terrors but they can only delay the inevitable.
  10. That isn't something I had considered before. IPW does have the cash on hand to spit out a tiny USA/Mexico internet PPV. Thanks for the suggestion!
  11. Man that took me a long time to write! Turns out dead men do tell tales. I'm going to miss you Nemesis! Just a quick blurb about why I'm doing this. I love taking tiny promotions and doing what I can with them. The smaller roster lets me focus heavier on the characters and so fewer people get lost in the mix. That being said this is new territory for me. I've never run IPW before and I've never played a product without a hard face/heel split or one that didn't require established storylines. I'm very much a "sports entertainment" style dynasty writer with previous forays into PSW and RIPW primarily. So we're going on this journey together where you can laugh along with me as I make a right fool of myself trying to take IPW to the next level. You can expect some laughs, buckets of blood, and maybe a few tearjearkers along the way. I'm going to wait until the full release (and possibly a couple patches beyond that before launching into the full diary but I've got a lot of roster stuff to take care of first so bear with me as it gets off to a slower start. The large number of fluff posts is why I'm including an index at the start so you can quickly get to the action and not mess around with my rambling nonsense. So without further ado... Welcome to Invincible Pro Wrestling! Invincible Pro Wrestling Taglines are for pussies
  12. <p>Brazzle is totally underrated on the indy scene. I put her vs. Kate Lily in a match and they overshadowed Acid vs. Threepwood. </p><p> </p><p> That is a gigantic roster and a packed card for an indie show. He is willing to take bumps and he has some really out-of-the-box ideas that have helped keep his feud with Blackfriar from growing stale. 15. Hank's Bar Los Angeles October 2019 Vin groaned slightly as he eased himself onto the vinyl booth seat. Contrary to popular belief it did get cold in Los Angeles and when it did the throbbing in Vin's left knee made even simple movements painful. He would never admit it to anyone but sometimes he felt he was lucky to walk away from the biz still able to walk. The seat was sticky, same with the table top. Gil could have set them up at a fancy steak place but whenever it came to wrestling Gil would always find the dirtiest dive in the area to meet. He said it helped "get him into the mindset of the fans". Vin thought it was because this was one of the closest things to danger and excitement a teetotaler like Gil ever got. Gil was running late. He was always running late. Wrestling was Vin's entire life but to Gil, even after all this time, it was just a glorified hobby. Thanks to the "wool war" 40 years ago Gil had made more money than anyone in wrestling would ever see all before he hit 30. Gil's bank account wasn't bottomless but it was deep enough that Vin never felt guilty about putting a pitcher or two on his tab. Vin checked his phone again, moving the phone closer and farther until he hit that sweet spot where he could read the tiny text without needing his glasses. Vin would never admit it to anyone but getting old really sucked. Not even a decade ago he was a title holder in Canada's largest promotion. Now he was struggling to read a text message from a wool tycoon in bar who's interior designer was most likely homeless and deranged. Gil: Meet @ Hanks. EMERGENCY!!!! Another sigh escaped Vin's lips. Only four exclamation points. That was barely a crisis by Gil's standards. The man was so high strung Vin always imagined him snapping like a rubber band and flying out of the room. He started to tap out a message, one letter at a time, slowly but surely when he heard the nervous shuffle of his boss approaching the table. "Hey Vin. Sorry about that. Were you waiting long?" "No boss." "Oh. Good. Did you get some beer?" "Yes boss." "I bet you're wondering why I called you for an emergency meeting." Vin didn't even bother to respond. He wasn't a talkative type in the best of times and he wasn't feeling particularly chatty. There was no way he could match the nervous energy of Gil anyway so he figured he would just sit back, enjoy his beer, and let his boss blast out the news like a deflating balloon. No matter what Gil would get back to the ground eventually. Gil pulled up a briefcase and made a big show of looking around the room. Left, right, even twisting to look behind him. He studied the corners of the room, the backs of the patrons sitting at the bar. He studied everything and when he finished he spun back around to do it again. And again. Vin stopped him midway through the third time by tapping on the briefcase. "Right. I think we're safe. I don't think I was followed." Vin straightened up. Suddenly Gil's twitchy behavior might actually be appropriate. Gil opened up the briefcase and pulled out a stack of papers. Vin's eyes caught sight of graphs and charts and more tiny print then he could ever hope to read without glasses. Gil slid a couple of them across the table to him but he didn't bother to grab them. "What is this, Gil? "This? This is our future? Don't you see it? Oh...maybe you don't. Alright so you might have heard that Winston Boe..." "Winston Boe? Who...oh you mean Brother Grimm?" "Yeah, that's what I said. Winston is looking to take GSW online and had his team put together an investment report to pitch to OnDem. Profitability, expenses, market share...it's all here. One of the guys who works there used to work for me and snatched a copy. Everything we need to know about GSW...finances, marketing strategy, everything is right here." A battle waged within Vin that was quickly decided. He reached into his coat pocket and pulled out his reading glasses. Sometimes pride had to be put to the side. He started flipping through the papers, guided every now and then by an eager Gil. By the time he had finished his pitcher he knew GSW's financial system almost better than he knew IPW's. "So? What do you think? "They are in rough shape. On the surface they're on par with us, maybe even a little ahead. Slightly more popular with slightly smaller roster but is this right? They're sitting on a quarter of the finances we are?" Gil grinned and nodded. "This whole time we thought they were whipping the stuffing out of us but they have been bleeding money backstage." Vin took off his glasses to rub his eyes. "Alright Gil. So they're weak financially. So what? Gil looked incredulous and would have laughed in Vin's face if he wasn't so scared of the ex-wrestler. Technically Gil signed everyone's paychecks but with Nemesis gone it was Vin running the show now. "Don't you see? Now's the time to strike. Declare war on them, poach their top talent and leave them ragged." Vin started pulling away but Gil found some hidden depths of assertiveness and grabbed Vin's hand. The big man nearly flung Gil out of the booth in surprise but he reminded himself that Gil was harmless, like a hamster, and the last thing either of them needed was for Vin to ice and Men Gil. "Think about it. The East Coast Wars are legendary and from that conflict arose some of the greatest legends in wrestling. Real wrestling. None of that soap opera crap but bloody combat like in the gladiator times. Something like this could really grab the headlines and put us on the map." "You really want to start a war? Right now?" Gil nodded, stopped to consider things, and then nodded again. Vin let out one last sigh. "Eh...eff 'em. Nobody likes Brother Grimm anyway."
  16. Awesome! Yeah thinking things over I would love to start a CLAW diary game and it would be amazing to feature your logo front and center.
  17. Actually I'm talking about way way back. You did Chicago Championship Wreslting which I always have enjoyed using. I don't know what happened to my old files though so I can't seem to find it anymore.
  18. How do I know what size roster I should have? I see the penalties for being too small but what avoids that?
  19. <p>Overall looks really good. Here are some thoughts:</p><p> </p><p> 1) It would be awesome to include a search feature in the help docs. There is so much there it can be hard to find what you're looking for. I was trying to figure out what stats were important for a Manger and i had to look through each individual skill.</p><p> </p><p> 2) Sometimes you can click on personality and it pops up with a description, sometimes you can't. It seems like you can only do it from the roster menu which isn't as helpful when you're trying to decide who to extend contracts for. </p><p> </p><p> 3) In general mystery meat (i.e. stuff that you can click on that isn't obvious) is not great UI so maybe include an underline to the font if you can click on text to get a pop up? Make it look like a hyperlink which is super easy for people to understand "hey, I can click on that!"</p>
  20. Whatever happened to your custom/requested logos? I remember you doing a Chicago wrestling one but can't seem to find it anywhere anymore.
  21. For those of you looking for clear and consumable info on what COVID 19 actually is Kurzgesagt have put up a very educational video about what it is, how it affects the body, how to fight against it and what the point of the quarantine is.
  22. I haven’t played a WMMA in years and I am just picking up 5 and hoping people could share tips for effectively a beginner. I know starting up a brand new promotion is difficult but it is satisfying for me to grow from zero to the top. That being said any and all tips are welcome! How should I scout for talent? How can I build talent up to bring the company up? What ratio of stars to scrubs should I be looking for on my roster? Any and all advice is welcome!
  23. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46550" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> Burning Hammer Of America</div></blockquote>m<p> I really like a Japanese invasion angle with US market being weak and ripe for another country to get a toehold in.</p>
  24. Would be neat if attributes could evolve. For example.... Naive - Will say “Yes” to any request BUTTT if they take a major injury after being asked to take a bump... Cynical - Will more likely refuse requests.
