  1. I don't think it would have been enough to keep up the interest of the average casual fan, who until recently cared a lot more for Cena, Mysterio, etc, anway, for longer than a couple of weeks.

I think we over estimate the interest and investment the average fan has in WWE. I think the majority of viewers don't really have that much interest in the continuity of the program, they just like to see their personal favorites win, in a single show, as a one off. They watch the TV show and think, "there's Cena...there's The Miz," not, "we've seen Cena, and Miz, I wonder where CM Punk is." If the character isn't on their TV screen they have no interest in them.

You're making people sound really stupid.

  2. Daniel Bryan winning the SD MitB was a surprise because I didn’t think they saw him on the level of even having a fluke World title win, so I think it’s a reasonable bet to make that Bryan becomes the first MitB winner to cash in and lose. Of course, that’s assuming he keeps the briefcase and they don’t simply have him lose to someone else down the road and he only won it here because they both wanted a surprise and wanted to get people in the mindset of expecting surprises in readiness for what they pull later in the night.

They have like a whole year to build him up ala Edge the first time around. I don't see why people are down on this, it can be a great gimmick for him and helps write his promo work for him. Who knows he could get a huge push after Mania or something and it wouldn't sound so crazy for him to get a title run.

  3. The last PPV I bought was actually Extreme Rules of this year. It just ticks me off when people steal things. Whether or not you think WWE is declining in quality, the wrestlers themselves still put themselves in harms way for our entertainment, and we as the fans are the ones keeping the entire industry afloat. When more and more people pirate PPVs online, the wrestling industry declines more and more because there is less money being put into it. I'm probably sounding like a total jerk right now, but people pirating things is one of my biggest pet peeves.

People are gonna pirate, its nature to get things for free when you can. Its a dying medium and one which WWE needs to find away to replace. The music industry is adapting with a greater emphasis on touring. How pro wrestling adapts, who knows, but PPV is gonna be finished within a decade.

  4. It is a good interview read it yesterday, and something that I found strange was when he said when Cena wasn't in the babyface bus, Kelly Kelly had the most seniority.

Actually, I just thought surely it'd be Randy Orton, unless like on TV he has his own bus... :)

randy does have his own but iirc. He used to road with Santino. Smackdown run a different schedule to Raw anyways don't they so they wouldn't be travelling together, I think. Why Rey wouldn't be up there though is puzzling.

  5. McDufus made a lot of bad moves when he was in charge (Knowshon, trading Peyton Hillis for magic beans, Laurence Maroney) but this was one of the few GOOD moves he made. Besides, it's not like the 2nd rounder they gave to the Ravens is actually panning out for them (Sergio may never play in the NFL).

That is just terrible reasoning in justifying a trade.
