  1. So are the Chiefs really going to win the AFC West? It's looking more and more possible. The Raiders are even in the conversation. I still like San Diego's defense and QB over those clubs, but Norv Turner is just not a very good coach, especially in the Fall.

I still believe we win that division. We have the best team by a stretch. Rivers is playing lights out football. Just need to eliminate the mental mistakes/shore up STs.

It's just sad that so many people (not saying you're one of them, I'm sure you're not) read something on a dirt sheet and take it as fact that it came straight from the WWE. Like a couple weeks ago when it was reported that they had a "huge angle" planned for Raw, and when it didn't happen, there were posts on other boards saying "what happened to the huge angle WWE promised us???"<p> </p><p> It's possible they'll unify the titles, but it seems unlikely at best and laughable at worst. For all the talk about how the brand split is being phased out, the brands are still completely seperate entities for about 9 months out of the year - the only exceptions being the two months between the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, the couple weeks before Bragging Rights, and every couple months when they have a special Raw or SD with both brands on.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Are you familiar with American politics? This is pretty standard stuff. Frankly, I'm shocked and more than alittle ashamed that they didn't start doing something like this months ago.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It'll happen the tags and Divas have already been unified. I'm pretty sure that DB and Dolph started their program to unify the IC and US belts on Monday. The world title unification will happen soon. Prolly at WM or RR. Depends what route they go with the rumble winner.</p>
  3. What he's saying is that by the time the Expansion team came around. The left Houston in what? 97? 98? They didn't get the Texans until 02 thats FIVE years and what he was saying is if Bud would have waited for a few more years they could have come up with the funds to build that new stadium but after demanding renovations to a stadium he already had and when that didn't work he wanted them to shell out more for a new stadium they didn't have that kind of cash at the time.

And what I'm saying is the might not have necessarily built that stadium so soon had they stayed. I see this situation developing with my Chargers atm.

  4. Wait, what? Are we talking about "The Tackle" because that was ruled a tackle at the oneish on the field and upheld in replay.

I'll never forget the look on Jman's face when that happened... he literally lept out of his seat holding his arms in the air with this "oh shat!!!" look of surprise... and, arms still half raised, hunched over and squinted in confusion a split second later.

MrT, you have to understand: Bud Adams is a terrible human being. We put up with him when they were the Oilers, because at least they were our team. But he had this city over a barrel. First Houston finally gave in and tore down our historic scoreboard in the Astrodome so he could fit in a few more seats. We renovated the dome. And when all of that wasn't good enough, he demanded a brand new, state of the art stadium. The city (the same city that had supported his team and his other businesses for decades, indeed where he still freakin' lives) simply didn't have the fund to justify a brand new stadium in that short of a timeframe. So Bud packed up and moved somewhere he could have a brand new stadium as soon as possible (after promising to stay in Houston, no less).

And what did we do when we got the Texans? Well, gee whiz, Houston had the money to build a new state of the art stadium. All Bud Adams had to do was wait a few more years and he could've had his stadium. But, he's a dick. Him flipping off poor old Ralph Wilson Jr and the city of Buffalo is evidence enough of that.

The franchise is cursed. They'll win a Super Bowl someday, but not until Bud Adams can no longer cheat death once a week like Mr. Burns and finally returns to the Hell from which he came.

    Sorry MrT. :(

Houston probably had to build a new stadium to get an expansion team, so thats not exactly true.
