  2. PWL Vision of Glory

    MATCH CARD

Findlay & Newton vs. Mabuchi Furusawa & SUKI

Antipode Rush vs. Mimic & Orange Tsuchie

El Jaguar vs. Walker van Cleer

Jaguar's the more experienced singles competitor. That's the only thing I have to go on here.

Frankie Perez & T.B.D. vs. Magic Flash (Tag League Playoff)

Tayama seems like the obvious choice for Frankie's partner, but I don't think who it is actually matters.

Heroes & Hearts vs. Unstoppabreakable (PWL World Tag Championship)

This was hard. I like all of these guys! And they've all had to go through so much individually and together to get to this point. The match could be a classic. But my first instinct was to go with Unstoppabreakable, and I'm sticking to it.

  3. <p><strong>Don Henderson</strong> vs. Jotaro Tanaka</p><p>

    Jash Singh vs. <strong>Landon Mallory</strong></p><p>

    <strong>Mr. Lucha III</strong> vs. Paolo Gandalfini</p><p> </p><p>

Ernest Youngman vs. Warmonger - <strong>DRAW</strong></p><p>

    <em>I don't believe Youngman's ever lost back-to-back matches, but I </em><em><strong>think</strong></em><em> Warmonger actually has a win over him...</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Devilfish vs. <strong>Tigre Salvaje Jr</strong></p><p>

    <em>Something's gonna happen here.</em></p>

  4. Season 7 of the Prestige League is upon us!

As usual, there's a predictions competition taking place over the 9 rounds of League competition and the Finale at PWL Vengeance.

The posting schedule is going to be a little weird this week. The next show that'll be posted is Round 1 of Season 7 of the singles league, which you can predict below. That'll be posted before the next tag show which you've already been able to predict.

I want to give time for people to get their singles league predictions in, so the next show will be posted on Friday instead of Wednesday.

    Predictions Competitions

    Predicting the shows

    - A 50% commitment is required to enter the competition.

    - Draws earn you a point no matter who you chose.

    Predicting the tournament winner

    - You have two picks - the first will get you maximum points, while the second will get you half points.

    - The tournament winner pick counts is worth a maximum of 20% of the number of matches you predict.

    Winning

The winner of the predictions competition gets to pick a PWL wrestler to have an in-depth interview on Joanne Rodriguez's Behind the Curtain podcast.

Everyone who predicts 50% or more, will be able to submit questions to that wrestler as part of the interview (like an Ask Me Anything).

Please make sure you get your winner predictions in before the second round of the League, else it will not count. That show will be posted on Wednesday 25th August, so make sure to get your winners in before then.

    Round 1

    MATCH CARD

    Devilfish vs. Warmonger

Mr. Lucha III vs. Tigre Salvaje Jr

    Jotaro Tanaka vs. Paolo Gandalfini

    Don Henderson vs. Jash Singh

    Ernest Youngman vs. Landon Mallory

    Season 7 Winner Predictions:

    1.

    2.

In Round 6, you've got Landon Mallory listed twice and Mr. Lucha III is absent.

    Round 1

    MATCH CARD

    Devilfish vs. Warmonger

Mr. Lucha III vs. Tigre Salvaje Jr

    Jotaro Tanaka vs. Paolo Gandalfini

    Don Henderson vs. Jash Singh

    Ernest Youngman vs. Landon Mallory

    Season 7 Winner Predictions:

    1. Landon Mallory

    2. Mr. Lucha III

I think these two are the favorites, but this first show will end up being very significant. I'm going with Mallory this season for the same reason DinoKea is -- I think Mr. Lucha III will be the next champ, but it's not quite time yet.

QUESTION for Landon Mallory: You've come close to winning the PWL in both of your seasons. What do you think you need to do to finally win it?

  5. TAG: Round 1

Antipode Rush (HalloWarped & ZERO) vs. Findlay & Newton (Findlay O'Farraday & Davis Wayne Newton)

Big Cats (Devilfish & El Jaguar) vs. Unstoppabreakable (Kalu Owusu & Riddick Jordan)

Konoe & Mimic (Taheiji Konoe & Mimic) vs. Magic Flash (Martin Heath & SIRA)

Double Dutch (Walker van Cleer & Wes Stryker) vs. Heroes & Hearts (Konrad Makinen & Nelson Callum)

    Winner pick 1: Unstoppabreakable

Winner pick 2: Heroes & Hearts

    SINGLES: Round 6

    Frankie Perez vs. Riddick Jordan

    Warmonger vs. Yasuhide Tayama

Nelson Callum vs. Tigre Salvaje Jr

    Jotaro Tanaka vs. Landon Mallory

Ernest Youngman vs. Mr. Lucha III

  6. <p><strong>Frankie Perez</strong> vs. Hiroyasu Gakusha</p><p> </p><p>

    Findlay O’Farraday vs. <strong>Jin Miyamoto</strong></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Ernest Youngman & Warmonger</strong> vs. Landon Mallory & Jotaro Tanaka</p><p>

<em>It'd look bad for the newly crowned champ to lose, and Warmonger seems to be getting the monster heel treatment.</em></p><p> </p><p>

    Gram Gorman vs. <strong>Yasuhide Tayama</strong> (playoff)</p><p> </p><p>

    Mabuchi Furusawa vs. <strong>Mr. Lucha III</strong> (playoff)</p><p>

<em>I was sure Mr. Lucha was a goner, but this business with Youngman's interference is changing my mind, because now you have a reason to keep him around.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Devilfish & Tigre Salvaje Jr vs. <strong>Konrad Makinen & Nelson Callum</strong> (Copa de Primavera Final)</p><p>

<em>Someone's turning because of this, but it may not happen here. The bigger story is if Makinen and Callum can rediscover their mojo in time. I think they can.</em></p>

  7. Congratulations Editor6! Please let me know who you'd like to see on the podcast!

Whoa! I was NOT expecting to win.

This was a strange season to predict. I initially went with Youngman to win the league, leading to the big Perez-Youngman showdown that's been brewing for several seasons. And I thought Perez would beat him and end that story. But as the season went on, it became clear that the field had gained ground on him, and I started to believe that you were setting up his eventual title loss. But then Youngman left a couple of points on the table, which is when I started saying "something always gets in his way."

So by Round 7 there were... four, maybe five people still in contention. Then Youngman drew with Mallory in round 8, losing control of his fate in the process, and here we go again, right? But then he apparently schemes his way to not only the League title, but the PWL Championship.

This season was wild. Thanks for giving it to us.

Anyway, for the podcast, there's really only one choice IMO, and it's both long overdue and an ideal time to have him on: Frankie Perez.

  8. Hiroyasu Gakusha vs. Nelson Callum

    Mabuchi Furusawa vs. Warmonger

Landon Mallory vs. Mr. Lucha III

No reason for Mr. Lucha to win here. But who's his attacker?

Devilfish & Tigre Salvaje Jr vs. Gram Gorman & Mimic

Ernest Youngman vs. Frankie Perez © - PWL World Championship

This match has been in the making since the end of Youngman's debut season. I expect Youngman to be ruthless, and since I already thought Perez was going to lose here...

  9. Mr. Lucha III vs. Riddick Jordan

Mr. Lucha's time here feels like it's up.

Devilfish & Tigre Salvaje Jr vs. Orange Tsuchie & Tsuneyo Yanagimoto

    Establishing favorites.

    Ernest Youngman vs. Konrad Makinen

Again, something always gets in Youngman's way. And that something was Round 8's draw. Now he no longer controls his own destiny. And he's facing a desperate Makinen, who has to win or he's out of the League.

Hiroyasu Gakusha & Jin Miyamoto vs. Jotaro Tanaka & Warmonger

    Landon Mallory vs. Nelson Callum

I'm gonna tip my hand here: I think Perez's title run is about to end. So my thinking has shifted to this question: Of these two, who is more likely to be the one to finally beat him? As impressive as Mallory's rookie run has been, I think Callum's comeback story is just too good.

  10. Bret Heartbreak & Byron vs. Tanaka & Warmonger

    Ernest Youngman vs. Riddick Jordan

Something always gets in Youngman's way.

    Frankie Perez vs. Konrad Makinen

A must-win for both guys at this point, and the winner isn't necessarily safe. I really don't think you want Perez in the relegation playoff, though.

Mr. Lucha III vs. Nelson Callum

Meanwhile, this feels like the end for Mr. Lucha. And look who'll be in first place if I'm right...

Landon Mallory vs. Tigre Salvaje Jr
