1.
Sorry I missed submitting a character for the initial release, but I will submit at least one for the later debut, and hopefully it's alright according to the guidelines. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

FreedoM

(alternate universe version)

Age: 21

Debut: 2016

Character Description: A super patriot of a different kind, FreedoM (who also goes by "FM") does not merely fight for chants of "USA!", but to represent those who desire the freedom to be who they truly are in what's supposed to be the freest land on Earth.

Weight: Light Heavyweight

Worker Type: Aerial Technician, some Brawling, mainly fights with knee-based offense

Finisher: KNEE 2 FACE (Go 2 Sleep)

Gimmick: Patriot

Skills: (Anywhere from abysmal to excellent!)

-Rumble - C+/B-

-Technical - B/B+

-High Flying - A

-Performance - A-

-Physical - B

-Entertainment - A

-Camera - B+

Performance: From 0-100

-Babyface - 85

-Heel - 15

-Cool - 45

-Cocky - 25

-Crazy - 65

-Legit - 75

-Comedy - 65

-Weasel - 10

-Brute - 5

-Weird - 85

-Wholesome - 75

Image references:

http://fullmetal.ml/images/FPCPP%20FULLMETAL%20aka%20FREEDOM.png

http://fullmetal.ml/images/FM_2k18_flat.png

 2.
Gotta say, the belts all look great.

If I can offer one piece of advice: so that the plates don't end up kinda "flat" looking, I would suggest that each layer gets a different style/size/angle/etc/whatever of gradient.

When in doubt, find yourself the Alien Skin "Eye Candy" plugin pack and use the Chrome filter from it (I guess as a Smart Filter so you can turn it on and off instead of rasterizing the layer?) for a unique pop each time, even when all the layers are using the same preset from it.

 3. Probably better to wait for the 3-pack "Season Pass" DLC (Fire ProMoter, NJPW Jr. Heavyweight pack, Fighting Road: Legend) to come out, so you can get all 4 in a discounted bundle, which WILL be worth it.
 4.
BIG UPDATE: The NJPW DLC is now available for the PC version, for $19.99.

New wrestlers, moves, and the "Fighting Road: NJPW Heavyweight" mode are available in the set.

Details here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/912460/Fire_Pro_Wrestling_World_New_Japan_ProWrestling_Collaboration/

In addition, the base game is now update-patched to Version 2.0000 to match the PS4 base version.

The update adds some bug-fixes, 3 more Voice slots to use in the Skills section, new moves, and the UI is updated to what I like to refer as "Fire Pro Tekken" style.

Details here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/1693807861239284054

One unfortunate note is that with this base-game update, all mods being used through Version 1.02 will no longer work properly/at all...at least until the mod makers decide whether or not to update them to catch up with the update.

 5. Cool designs! And on an aside note, I'm always glad to see other belt designers here getting so much mileage out of the Straps that I made available! (I plan on additionally making full-length straps available very soon. )
 6.
Just gotta say, you've done a great job with the belts!

Btw, you've got great taste in designs, cuz Generic World Heavy 17 was originally designed by my contemporary Mike Nicolau (you may have seen his leatherwork on the previous version of the IWGP IC belt), that Generic Leather Rebels IC was originally designed by my bud Danny Nixon, and Generic World Heavy 16 was designed by none other than yours truly~! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 7.
Well, the "Fire Pro Anthology" is comprised entirely of the people who have showed up in the Fire Pro Wrestling games. ALL of the people, from ALL of the Fire Pro wrestling games.

That mainly means Japanese wrestlers, and a reasonable amount of the more popular Americans from the late 80's through late 90s, plus some TNA/indy guys that were present in Fire Pro Returns (2005/2007).

(Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, and a few other notables)

As for how deep the non-Fire Pro wrestlers go? Let's use the Real World mods for the various iterations of TEW/EWR as the comparison here: almost everyone who's in them, and literally a couple thousand real wrestlers who aren't. (Along with tons of fictional characters, original characters, and even multiple versions of the Megazord from Power Rangers, and actual burgers and cans)

The Community Creations on the WWE games has nothing on the sheer BREADTH of characters on Fire Pro's workshop.

Meanwhile, ANOTHER IMPORTANT UPDATE: Fire Pro World on PS4 is now RELEASED over in Japan and will be coming out on the PS4 in the US on the 28th, which will also be the date that the New Japan DLC hits for the Steam version as well.

 8.
That's the beauty of Fire Pro World though, the Workshop (if you're using the Steam version, no word yet on cross-platform compatibility with the PS4 version when it comes out) has everybody you're familiar with, with some of the best versions of them from some really good edit-makers.

And for those guys you haven't seen before, downloading the Fire Pro Anthology from Phil Parent (yup, that one) is a good primer: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=969098667

For getting yourself into the *playing* aspect of the game, the first 5 (or 10) Missions of the Mission Mode are actually a gameplay tutorial (which is not easy to know at first glance since Japanese devs have never been good in general at indicating that sort of thing within another thig), to show new players how to play the game and to refresh older players on things like timing on the 60fps HD setup.

(All you would need to do before diving into that is to check the button/key bindings in the Options to know which button does what)

Here's a set of pretty helpful guides to get you settled into the game: http://www.criticalclub.com/board/4/guides

In terms of creating your own custom edits to populate your fantasy fed, since it can sometimes get daunting (even for veterans) trying to do each one from scratch (WWE's is more tedious rather than daunting, but still pretty easy), prolific edit-maker DJKM has put together a set of templates you can copy from and make alterations to in order to fit your own character: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1089170802

(Just think of using them like building a wrestler from a template in TEW)

The default 30-person SWA roster of the game is more like a group of template wrestlers this time around (except for basically Dag Boomer, who pretty much *is* Vader) rather than straight-up renames to avoid legal trouble with licensing, so this time you won't really have to worry about "which wrestler is this person supposed to be?" with them (like really, who are Bobby Bobby and Ernest "Not The Cat" Miller supposed to be, right?), and are mainly there to *play* against, as their logic and stats don't even really play friendly with the Returns defaults (whose logic and stats in turn were meant to be played against by you rather than simmed against each other).

 9.
(Long overdue) GAME UPDATE: World will release on PS4 August 28th for $50 and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Pro-Wrestling-World-PlayStation-4/dp/B07BKKSWKC

"Premium" boxed edition is available on Play-Asia for $105 - https://www.play-asia.com/fire-pro-wrestling-world-premium-edition-limited-edition/13/70c2hn

For those wondering about the $50 price tag, the PS4 edition will come with the NJPW DLC and presumably the $3 Yoshihiro Takayama Charity DLC.

The Premium version comes with extras, which can be seen on the Play-Asia page.

On a PERSONAL update, the ARENA Rising event is now fully uploaded on my YouTube:

As well as a special live "Fallout Rising" show which took place shortly after:

I'm currently working on editing a Tag Team Titles event and will update you guys on when that gets uploaded. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

In addition, Fire Pro fans now have a new "official" home, the Critical! Club, due to some issues with the Arena: http://criticalclub.com/

 10. Cheap plug for my big ARENA Rising supershow for the Fire Pro Wrestling Arena, the Pre-Show is now uploaded to YouTube! The Pre-Show and its intro are now officially up on YouTube in proper 720p 60fps! Intro: Daniel Shine/Fishy Joe: The Black Dragon/Domino Rouge: Fame/Rilantha De Nav: Lance Marshall/RECKLESS: Hana Brightly/Felix Santana Jr.: (match re-uploaded to fix sound de-sync issue) (The Twitch VODs have expired, sorry)
 11. So, if you haven't already started making them, my vaguely-general recommendation would be to start by copying the real-life wrestler (I recommend using edits made by Otaku, DJKM, Phil Parent, Jae, and a couple others) closest to the ones on your roster, then edit that copy to look like your wrestler, change moves/skills/parameters where applicable, and then in the Logic section to only tweak each move percentage by 1-3% per move (then the personality logics by 1-5% per section) to give it a slightly different feel from the original wrestler you copied from. If you ever upload them to the Workshop, make sure you credit the original edit-maker for the base.
 12.
On a personal note, this past Saturday, I aired the big ARENA Rising supershow for Fire Pro Wrestling Arena on my Twitch, to a big success!

There were naturally a few hiccups along the way, but I managed to air the whole show, nonetheless!

Catch the VODs here...

Pre-Show:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/245224538

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/245233903

Main Show:

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/245251339

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/245304684

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/245318184

The individual matches and some of the video bits will be archived to my YouTube in their intended 720p/60fps glory later this week.

 13.
BIG update last night:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BKKSWKC

The PS4 version of Fire Pro Wrestling World will release on August 28th for $49.99 (presumably the physical disc copies, also presumably with the NJPW and possibly Fire ProMoter DLC included...presumably) and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon (the link above).

No official word yet on the digital-release price or if the PS4 version includes the Yoshihiro Takayama charity DLC.

Also no official word yet on whether or not the PS4 version of the Workshop will allow downloading of PC versions of the edits onto the PS4.

<iframe data-embedid="2c111d8bb616fe07aedb4ef0e4d8af8d" allowfullscreen="" data-embed-src="<___base_url___>/index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=embed&url=https://twitter.com/SpikeChunsoft_e/status/977233929894731776">

 15. Patch v1.0100 published! Patch notes: https://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/2808425493225257124 New quality-of-life fixes, including some UI fixes and some in-match fixes. See details in patch post. New moves added - non-pinning versions of Irish Whip Thesz Press and Powerslam, front grapple Michinoku Driver and Falcon Arrow; Brass Knuckles Punch; indie-riffic Corkscrew Cannonball Senton from top rope; Body Press Powerslam (Road Warrior Animal's "Remember That" from SVR, not Goldberg's Press to Front Slam); Cactus Jack's Pulling Piledriver; Dead-lift German Suplex pin back grapple; and Uproot German Suplex from Ground Facing Down (previously only in Ground Face-Down MMA Mount) I would also additionally like to point out, in an additional effort to spur on people to buy FPWW, that even though the game was first released last July, that Spike-Chunsoft has been continually patching it for fixes even now (some patches have come more than once a week, in fact), whereas WWE 2k18 has only been patch-fixed 7 times so far since its release in October, and those fixes have been relatively and comparatively few so far.
 16.
Finally finished it last night, and now I can safely say that the Jr.Heavy 4-Way was indeed my favorite match of the night.

Tanahashi/White felt a bit by-the-numbers with not enough of a build for me.

I liked Jerichomega, but I didn't love it. I thought it was great for what it felt like: a WWE pay-per-view grudge match that was *near* the main event of the card, but not quite there.

Naitokada, I'll get to in a second.

Suzuki/Goto and Naitokada are a pretty distance 2nd place for me in terms of my "favorite" matches of WK12.

Suzuki/Goto did have great storytelling and those 2 certainly put on a great match, but the build could've been a bit longer for it (to be fair, Goto/Shibata had a whole 6 matches from multiple years to build to their 7th last year).

The main reason the Jr.Heavy was my favorite is largely due to Hiromu and Kushida's involvement in it -- I like Scurll a fair amount (though I will always block the screen during the finger-breaking spot because JEEZUS that grosses me out), but I'm meh on Ospreay other than super duper high-risk spots.

Now for Naitokada (I also posted this elsewhere):

I *did* appreciate one major thing about the Okada match that I think most people might seem to miss: last year, his trilogy with Omega started as "oh, I'm still gonna beat this young upstart trying to take my belt and my spot" and became a story of Okada going from confident grap to becoming increasingly desperate to not-lose to Omega (though he eventually did), but still maintaining his air of "I'm still gonna wrestle a very wrestle-y match like I usually do".

Having learned his lesson, and with injuries (story or otherwise) starting to creep up, with Naito, he started right out of the gate delving into a bit more heel-ish tactics like those that his big bold bad boy Gedo would usually commit back during his more active days, THEN when he saw he was more in control over the course of the match and thought it was safe to do so, he went back to his main wrestle-y style.

And to be fair, throughout the whole course of the match, I found myself rooting more and more for Naito finally pull out that Powerball Destino and finally get his due; but of course, Okada still needs to finish breaking the records before *anybody* can actually take the belt off of him again.

Fantastic psychology, and a great match for going over half an hour and stuff, but I don't think it's anywhere near his matches against Omega -- I would probably guess that's because of Meltzer Rating burnout ( <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ).

Maybe another couple matches against Naito will escalate to that level, but it'll be a while before that can happen.

Easily a 4-star well-fought main-event match, but nothing like the chaos (pun intended) that saturated this past year in the Shin.

I enjoyed the entire show, nothing was a dud though I would say that not everything fully lived up to expectations. But rather than focus on the bad, I just want to say....

Suzuki vs Goto was awesome.

I think Suzuki has become my favourite wrestler in the world over the last year. I can't say enough good things about him and his amazing character work. Goto is also awesome, his entrance music immediately makes me think things are going to be awesome while his look in general is great. Their match was fantastic, telling a crazy story and the match aftermath was fantastic too.

...

New Year's Dash was also a lot of fun.. check it out if you can, I'm not going to spoiler anything here for now. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I started watching last night, managed to get all the way through to the end of the Jr.Heavyweight 4-Way.

Gonna finish the last 3 matches tonight. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I agree that Suzuki/Goto was pretty awesome (hence the quoting), especially from a story-telling perspective.

I was genuinely surprised at the finish, given that I was actually expecting a kick-out and some final last-ditch efforts from both guys before the "real" finish; and to that point, HOLY CRAP, I was impressed at how sudden that finish was!

Goto is legitimately one of my favorite "story" workers from the last 5-6 years, and nothing exemplifies that more than his 7-match must-see series against Shibata (I have repeatedly on multiple forums referred to that series and any related vignettes/video packages as "required watching for Wrestling Storytelling 101").

I seriously hope he can end his career with at least one IWGP Heavyweight Title reign under his belt before the "time" has passed him by, you know?

Also, HOLY CRAP that Jr.Heavyweight match!

As it built and built and built, all I could think to myself was "this is f-ing awesome, but there's no way it's gonna be match of the night with 3 more high-profile matches left after this".

I'm so ashamed at how jaded I've become. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 18. HUGE UPDATE: Spike-Chunsoft has announced a projected Summer release for the PS4 version of Fire Pro Wrestling World, AND Spike-Chunsoft & NJPW have announced OFFICIAL New-Japan Pro Wrestling DLC to hit Fire Pro Wrestling World around the same time, for both the PS4 and Steam versions!
 19.
That's known in FP circles as the "Boot Sim", a phenomenon in which the game does randomly pick an RNG seed number when you boot it, and then you sim a match with whatever settings and people, and then if you choose NOT to save afterward and then you RESET the game, instead of actually randomly picking another seed, it continues to pick the same number it picked the last time, and if you sim a match with the exact same settings you just did the last time, the match will play out EXACTLY THE SAME as it did before.

The seed number changes after that match to result in a differently simmed match, but if you do the Boot Sim method without saving at all between matches and without exiting the match menu between matches, you can literally sim the exact same SEQUENCE of matches repeatedly.

That's one of the things they made sure to fix in World, so that Boot Sims no longer exist.

HOWEVER, if you enter a seed number in the More Match Options tool in Carlzilla's Mod Suite, you can sim a match exactly the same multiple times, without the need for resetting the game each time.

 20.
I would say that the 2 easiest ways to learn how Fire Pro Wrestling World works is to:

1 - Check out the General and In-Depth FAQs for Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on GameFAQs: https://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/927675-fire-pro-wrestling-returns/faqs

2 - And play through Mission Mode in World to learn how the specific mechanics in World works and how it differs from Returns.

Almost all of how Returns works will work in World, because that's the framework it was built from and then altered/added to from there.

I would also recommend checking out the Fire Pro Arena for lively discussion and help on how to navigate your way through the World of Fire Pro Wrestling. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 21. Indeed, it's an absolute steal at that price -- a rock-solid, deeply established wrestling game with access to (at press time) over 27,000 wrestlers, referees, and ring graphics (mostly wrestlers though) on the Steam Workshop. Also, the Yoshihiro Takayama Charity DLC is live, and only $3 -- all proceeds go to TAKAYAMANIA, which is covering Takayama's medical bills and also going to his family. (if you can't read Japanese, just click English in the drop-down menu on the top-left) http://store.steampowered.com/app/758160/Fire_Pro_Wrestling_World__Yoshihiro_Takayama_Charity_DLC/ (There's already 14 different Takayama's on the workshop currently, but the point of this officially released one is for charity; it also comes with a DLC-only move, Spirit Punches, that can only be used/assigned to an edit if you have this DLC bought/downloaded)
 22.
Fire Pro Wrestling World is officially out of Early Access!

Patch notes for version 1.0000:

http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/3113541737447879914

New anime head parts have been added, as well as new moves.

More quality-of-life bugfixes, 2 more Priority slots (up to 12 now!), and Match Evaluation for Deathmatch, SWA, and S-1 matches has been added.

I'll update when the Yoshihiro Takayama charity DLC goes live.

When they return from holiday break in January, they'll also make announcements on the upcoming Fire Promoter DLC (aka a version of Management Of The Ring mode from Final Fire Pro Wrestling for GBA in Japan) and on the status of getting the PS4 port ready for release sometime a few months later (at the earliest).

 23.
You can refer to this post for basic template guidelines:

http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/1455086731781103492

Basically, a logo-on-transparent PNG that's 1024x1024 for the mat, 1024x128 for the apron, and trial-and-error sort of for the turnbuckles.

In addition, patch update .9500 has been released (leading me to believe that they've declared themselves at the "halfway" point for the Early Access period), with a BUNCH of new moves (recent patch, .9013, included new Appearance parts)!

Notes for .9500 here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/1488866180598762477/

Notes for .9013 here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/2425614361137212028/

ALSO in addition, Spike-Chunsoft has begun laying the foundation for the World version of the old Management Of The Ring mode from FFPW for GBA in Japan, and Carlzilla has begun poking around through it and found out what he could about it. Once he finds out more, we should be able to glean what's going to happen.

<img alt="rQuj5jj.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rQuj5jj.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
