  1. Okay, I could have swore that was a younger HBK there. ha. Just 100% on looks alone; a split second view.
  2. It's already been said but WOW.... Orton/Bourne; Shooting Star Press into an RKO... That was insane! I marked out like crazy!

I think he has a lot of potential in this business. Could be a future great! The catchphrase he is using is stale but him doing it actually works.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="font-family:Tahoma;">I agree. I disliked him greatly when he first came to the WWE but, by now, he's proven to be someone who's willing to put in a lot of work in which to get better. His Mic skills are pretty solid, he competes well within the ring ropes, and his persona seems unique to him. Good stuff.</span></p>
  4. I actually kinda liked Cena in this episode. He was entertaining when he needed to be & then looked super bad ass a the end of the show. This is coming from an average Cena-dislike-er too.
  5. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Tha Black Phenom" data-cite="Tha Black Phenom" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>IMO, it was a great move having them apologize. Because the attack at the end of the show made them look much more cunning. They were hinting during that apology that they would stop their shenanigans and change their tune, then in ruthless fashion they go right back to their antics at the end of the show, reaching to a climax by assaulting the chairman.<p> </p><p> If there was no apology, they would've just came in the show, either say nothing or talk trash/call someone out in the ring, and pull this at the end of the show - yeah, problem is we've seen that for two weeks already. Would've gotten cringingly redundant. The apology puts things in another aspect; either they're conflicted, or in-between the segments they issued an even bigger agenda for themselves which they will address next week, etc.</p><p> </p><p> And I also love Sheamus. I thought we'd see the beginning of something great when he first won the title.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="font-family:Tahoma;">That was my thought; but, I don't trust the WWE to go that far into character development to be honest. haha. </span></p>

I didn't really understand the 'apology' part as it pertains to developing their characters (both collective and individual). Now, if they come back next week and joke around that it was a ploy in which to get everyone to think that they had turned over a new leaf; then maybe? Overall, though, it felt very weird to see these guys apologize and say that they did it out of love for the WWE. That's cool and fine but don't have them apologize to John Cena, etc. It made them look super weak.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> As for Vince taking credit, I did roll my eyes a little. Then again, It's the WWE. Vince will take credit for everything as a character. That's his M-O. That said, I have to give the man credit for taking the strikes that he did at the close of the show. Just goes to show you that he really loves this company.</span></p>

What the hell? I just do not see the points of changing the names if they are going to acknowledge who their parents and grandparents are.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="font-family:Tahoma;">I thought the exact same thing when they previewed the new cast. Honestly, If you're going to change the name then just leave his family pedigree out of it; or else, book him under the Hennig name?</span></p>
  8. <p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">I have to say I lazily watched the first 2 1/2 hours of RAW hoping something cool would happen. At first, I thought it was just seeing CM Punk headline RAW would be it. I haven't watched much in the last few months, so, I'm new to his "Straight Edge" heel stable; Love the visuals of it.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> With that said, as the winner of NXT came down... I was expecting something rather, well, expected. He would climb into the ring and attack Cena; A "new star is born" kind of thing. However, when they all showed up and started attacking CM Punk, at first, I was thinking there was going to be this stupid angle where these guys become like Cena's army for whatever reason. Sounded dumb, yes, but that's what I expect from the WWE.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> So....</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> When the ending took place as it did I found myself marking out like a 10 year old boy again. ha. I even went as far as to tell my Fiancee about how shocking it was to see such a scenario end a WWE broadcast in the companies 'new direction'. It felt very nWo-esque but even more violent in a way. There was this raw hatred permeating from these guys. All I can say is... wow... Bravo WWE. Great work! </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> Now don't blow this and you'll gain me as a weekly viewer.</span></p>
  9. You did a great job with these, KAM. If it weren't for your logo alts, the 4C wouldn't have the same feeling for me. What you put together really conveys that grit I was looking for. Cheers. E-V
  10. Meh, I don't follow things THAT closely. Just seemed unique compared to what we've seen in the few years. That's all.
  11. True, I'll give you that. However, it's still more legit than the WWE in comparison To be honest, I did REALLY hate how Love getting the Knockout Championship wasn't this grand situation; rather just another random outcome.
  12. You want a true alternative to the WWE? Close the show with the Knockouts Division. If TNA wants to really 'change the course of Pro Wrestling' they need to do so by pushing scenarios that you would NEVER see in the WWE. That means the X-Division, the Knockouts, etc. I actually liked that the ended the show this way. It's more interesting than another Jeff Hardy run-in attack like they've been closing most shows with. So, all in all, I say: Good job TNA! They're giving a LEGIT Women's Division the ability to move past just being an undercard belt.
  13. I quite like Shannon Moore's persona.... Until he speaks.
  14. Without putting words in his mouth; I think he's commenting upon the 'crazed nature' at which you wrote your response within.
  15. I like how Waltman jumped D-Von from behind and practically danced with him for a few seconds before throwing him into the steel post. haha. Looked 'a little' un-realistic.
  16. WHAT?!?! I liked Taka! haha. That being said, I agree. His look needs to be revamped a little.
  17. Yea, He's not a carbon copy of him as pre-WWE Rey was simply amazing! However, the reason why I liken him to Rey is because of his lightning quick speed & the ability to chain wrestle in an accelerated manor. He would be the perfect underdog character if booked right. Then again, maybe it's just cause I like the guy.... ha.
  18. Agreed. The opening segment was horrid. I really, really, dislike hearing Jeff Hardy trying to talk in a forceful manor. wow. So bad; even still after years. Outside of that, It got much better! Here are some other thoughts: * Orlando Jordan's new gimmick just made me laugh the entire time. I'm very liberal, So it's not the idea of the gimmick that made me laugh, but rather the way in which it was presented. It looked soo god awfully funny. That being said, I hope they keep on going over the top with his character. I dunno... Just seems to fit. ha. * Shannon Moore can work pretty well, and I like his new gimmick, but get rid of the necklace. It's not a "be all/end all" thing but rather just my prerogative. That said, I never thought I would care for the guy but he's really intriguing to watch. * I like Nash, Waltman, and Hall but even I'm somewhat bored with them already. ha. * I still love Eric Bischoff. One of the best Heel authority figures of all-time. I know some may think his act is getting alittle to stale but I love the guy. I'd rather see him on a weekly basis versus Hogan. Then again, I would take Heyman over both Hogan and Bischoff if given the chance. Just call it ECW-loyalty. * I really loved all that Jay Lethal did tonight. Hilarious! Good to see him pick up a flash-pinfall in the match too as it keeps us, the viewer, on our feet. Not the same outcome as the prior weeks with Beer Money. * I don't know why... But I'm not feeling "The Pope". I'm sure he'll grown on me but I'd rather see TNA focus more on Desmond Wolfe instead. Develop him into an overly aggressive, cold-hearted, "killing machine". In the end, The Pope's character confuses me more than anything else. His attire, his persona, just everything about him. He's a great 'worker' though. Like I said, maybe it'll just take time as I really DO want to like him. Just having a hard-time doing so thus far. * The people I would like to see pushed: Desmond Wolfe, AJ Styles (I know he's being pushed, but, I'd like to see a lengthy title reign to cement his newfound arrogance. Plus, I think he's great in this role with Flair), and Amazing Red (The next Rey Jr./WCW version).
  19. I like TNA..... BUT.... That opening segment was pretty weak. ha.
  20. I just finally watched Impact and was throughly entertained the entire way through. In no way am I a TNA'lifer or anything; however, that show was ten times better than any WWE product i've seen lately. Great stuff! The Main Event itself was pretty sweet. I'm not a jeff hardy fan but I found myself a big fan of his work tonight. Plus, there was an air of ambiguity as you didn't know how everything would turn out. Sure, it's RVD and Hardy so you expect that they would win; however, they also could have gone another way and showed "Beer Money" to be a better cohesive team and that's how they won. So, needless to say, my hat is off to TNA. Side note: Do they pump in crowd noise now in the Impact zone? If not then I'm not sure what they did but they completely changed the old 'dead-zone' feeling that it use to have. It's surreal now.
  21. I'm thinking the Nasties are in TNA only because of Hogan's involvement. With a friendship with one (can't remember his name; the blonde one), I'm guessing it was part of his demands when he signed on with the company. I'm positive of that. Would explain how much TV time they're getting & the overall focus they've found. With that said, I don't have any problems with them. Sure, they're annoying. Yes, they can't wrestle much anymore BUT they can be used as a great tag team. It would just be better if they were just another tag team in the division versus one that's getting more focus than anyone else. If booked right, they could be complimentary. The one thing I'd like to see go is Hall and Waltman; which kills me to say. I use to be a HUGE fan of these guys back in the day but come on... Waltman's "degenerate" attitude is getting really stale & actually seems crazily forced. Plus, it doesn't resonate anymore as we've seen it from him for like a decade now. Not so "shocking" anymore. Now just looks senselessly crude. Hall, for another reason, The guy really can't work on a high level anymore. I would pay to see an X-Division match over his involvement on screen anyday. As for Hogan/Abyss.... All of Hogan's trademark taunts, phrases, and movements look STUPID on anyone but him. haha. I like Abyss. I really do. However, this pseudo-Hogan thing is really making me dislike the guy.
