  1. Yes you would still have to pay the players their contract, but they wouldn't count against the cap anymore. It would be about a three year period where teams could get under the cap. Then after that they wouldn't be allowed to go over it. It isn't set, but this is what the owners want and there is a better chance of a lockout in the NBA than the NFL and the owners are truly united it seems so far.
  2. So with the main thought coming into the CBA agreement is that there will pretty much be a hard cap (at least that is what the owners want) it makes you wonder if teams are allowed to toss out one contract each, then which players could be unemployed. Here is my personal list Atlanta Hawks: Joe Johnson is there worst contract at 20 million per (if I did the math right) but he is also one of their better players. With the emergence of Collins I could honestly see it being Zaza Predict: Zaza Boston Celtics: Make your pick here...... it's kind of hard. The big 4 aren't going anywhere and Big Baby is an affordable contract. Shaq is gone so it honestly a make a pick. They could go to KG and say take a paycut for us to retool and give us a couple more chances to get you more rings. Predict: KG if it was a cut and resign. Bulls: Boozer is their worst contract mainly because of his injuries. The bulls are pretty set when it comes to contracts, but Rose is getting close to being a RFA Predict: Kyle K. Cavs: Davis, Davis, Davis, and Andrew V. Through up a coin and make a pick. Jamison and Davis are in the last years of those crappy contracts, but V is still 3 or 4 years away Predict: Verajo, lets face it the Cavs aren't going to win in the next two years and Irving and Thompson have 4 years still RFA so V's contract is more important to get rid of. Mavs: Like the Cavs there is one big name that stands out Predict: Haywood Nuggets: Another easy one for a young team Predict: Harrington Pistons: Hmmmm, this one is hard. You still have Richard Hamilton, Ben Gordon, and Charlie V. Hamilton is the worst contract of the three, but I believe he might be more important overall then the other two. The fact that Hamilton played less then them and outperformed them should scare the other two Predict: Ben Gordon. Charlie played 5 less minutes a game and still avg about the same stat line Warriors: get rid of the one contract you really need to get rid of Predict: Vladimir Radmanovic Rockets: I really don't know who the Rockets should cut here... Predict: Can't really go wrong. Pacers: Sorry James, you are their worst contract Predict: James Posey Clippers: This one is between two players, Mo Williams and Kaman for two reasons. Their replaces might already be on the team. DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledose might be their next PG and Center so either one could be gone. Kaman has more trade value and could bring a SF to help them where Mo I believe is on his last leg. Predict: Mo Williams Lakers: A lot of people would agree to let Luke Walton go, but would the Lakers try and pull and Celtics and ask Kobe to take a pay cut help rebuild the team. It could be an easy pitch because Kobe wants more than MJ and he is one away from tying him and 2 from breaking it. He also is in LA and championships bring more endorsements Predict: Kobe if they could do a KG type thing I mentioned above. If not Luke because everyone else can be traded Grizz: This is hard because most of their guys are young Predict: You tell me? Heat: Mike Miller????? Joel Anthony????? Predict: Anyone signed for longer than a year outside of the big three has a pink slip they should worry might be theirs Bucks: With Larry Sanders coming into his second year and looking to push for more time. Drew Gooden by far is their worst contract Predict: Drew Gooden Wolves: That center Nikola. Darko had a better year Predict: Nikola Nets: Travis Outlaw Predict: Travis Outlaw Hornets: I think this one is kind of easy Predict: Okafor Knicks: With Billups contract up at the end of this coming year Turiaf is the worst on the team Knicks: Turiaf Thunder: COLLISON!!! Predict: Collison Magic: Everyone might go.... Gilbert, but I say Hedo. Gilbert if he got more involved in the offense could find something again and Hedo's contract runs longer. Dwight Howard likes Gilbert more than Hedo and also trading Howard could mean a team might have to take Gilbert's contract as well. If the cut date isn't instantly the Magic could trade Gilbert with Howard and let the other team do the cute. Then what if the Magic trade Howard and he came back when he hit free agency Predict: Hedo, but Gilbert could go as well 76ers: Elton Brand, he isn't the player he use to be Predict: Brand Suns: Josh Childress Blazers: Roy has a heavy contract, but Camby has slipped a lot Predict: Camby Kings: Garica Spurs: Again another Kobe/KG area for Duncan. If not then it's Bonner or Jefferson. Maybe McDyess Raptors: Reggie Evans Jazz: Okur back up center making almost 10 mil Predict: Okur Wiz: Probably the easiest one. Predict : R. Lewis
  3. Did Jerry also get that run because of the movie the Wrestler. They did a storyline similar to the movie with Lynn battling the younger ****y wrestler and winning the title.
  4. it wasn't just pure talent, stats, and other things did play factor. I said talent played a heavy factor as well because it does. I love watch Ricky run, I thought what he could do with a ball was wonderful
  5. I understand being ****y about what you and two others did, but Lebron is still Lebron.
  6. Oh by the way, DeShawn Stevenson, SHUT UP!!!! You went up against a Heat team that saw Lebron do badly scoring, he still had like 7 assist and 9 rebounds and you guys still almost lost the game. Shut up, don't give Lebron motivation, and play your game.
  7. that's ur argument.... It's the only argument I need!!!!!
  8. So, is this finals killing Lebron's Legacy and helping Wade and Dirk's? Also is it about time to give Dirk his props and put him in the conversation of top 5 PF of all-time?
  9. yeah, this is just how I see it. Ryan Leaf was just horrible lmao, even when Ricky was messed up I would still take Williams over a right minded Leaf. I am not saying Ricky has the best stats, but when he is on I would rather try and stop a speeding bullet followed by a train.
  10. I think Brees does a lot of things right. He is considered easily a top 3 QB in the NFL right now. He helped turn around the aints and made them a team that each year expects to make it to the Superbowl. I love Staubach and I probably did snub him, but to me what modern QB do is more advanced then what QB's of the past did, and with Terry again this also had a lot to do with skills as well as stats and wins. Terry to me was a horrible QB, 2 more TD's then INT, 51.9% throwing, and more years throwing 20 INT's then 20 TD's. Again, I think Terry was one of those QB's who had some of the best talent around him that make people think he was better then he was, but when you can sit here (like I do) and say a Montana, Brady, Manning would have won 4 and a couple more with that talent, it makes u wonder. He was a guy who came in 1st overall I believe and was replaced because Nolan thought the backup was more motivated. Again I think Terry did a great job winning, but he wasn't a good QB, he was a good game manger. Again I am sorry about Thomas, anyone can come in and do this. This is what I see and how I feel about these. some people are going to see other stuff like jugg thinking Barry is the number 1 running back. That is something I could greatly agree with, but Brown had speed and power. Brown had two years where he didn't hit a thousand and each of those years he had 230 rushes or less. Look at Brown's biggest rushing year at 305 rushes and Sanders at 343. Brown had one year of 300 plus rushes and Sanders had 7. Brown also played 14 games to Sanders 16. Brown overall was just the better player. I am not saying Barry isn't in the argument, I just truly think Brown was probably the best player ever to play in the NFL.
  11. go look at his numbers, Bradshaw was one of those QB's who was lucky because of all the talent around him. I do like ur other choices, but I wonder how some of the QB's would do in today's age of football. I never liked Thurman.
  12. when Ricky is healthy and is mind is right, there was no one better. Go watch film of him seriously. I wanted to put Lance up there and I almost didn't put Larry up there, but Larry is such a talent that I couldn't leave him off, and when it is all said and done he might be the 2nd best wideout ever.
  13. Lol I just call him LT because it's easier then spelling his name out lmfao
  14. Top 10 QB 1) Montana 2) Tom Brady 3) Peyton Manning 4) Moon 5) Marino 6) Unitas 7) Elway 8) Favre 9) Brees 10) Dan Fouts Top 10 Running backs all-time to me (not just stats, but overall skills) 1) Jim Brown 2) Barry Sanders 3) Walter Payton 4) Ricky Williams 5) Bill Sims 6) Bo Jackson 7) LT 8) Marshall Faulk 9) O.J Simpson 10) Marcus Allen Top 10 WR 1) Rice 2) Moss 3) Harrison 4) Cris Carter 5) Larry Fitz 6) Tim Brown 7) James Lofton 8) Isaac Bruce 9) T.O 10) Andre Reed
  15. It hurts to see two very old historical franchise like the Mets and Dodgers being destroyed by it's owners. I have no rejections to the MLB taking over the Dodgers, growing up I use to love listening to my grandfather telling me the days about Gibson gimp around the bases, Sandy being the best pitcher he'd ever seen, and other great things about Dodger blue. I have never been against a league taking over a team as long as it's for the better of the team. Look at what the leagues did with the Coyotes in the NHL, the Nationals in MLB. NBA took the Hornets over recently and MLB took over the Dodgers. When McCourt took over the Dodgers I was all for it, but I once thought the former ownership the Lightning just got out of was great to. McCourt started out well but it seems like one of those incidents where the MLB's owners didn't look hard enough into an owners finances and was more impressed with his action in taking the team. This happened with the Lightning as one of the owners ponzi his way into the team pretty much. I hope the Dodgers get everything under control as well as the Mets. Those are two teams that should improve.
  16. yeah I believe the McMahons own like 96% of the voting power and the other 4% is spilt with 1% being stock holders (like hey I want to buy some wwe stock) and the other 3% split between Dunn and others within the company
  17. and the Mavs have no one that can guard the Big 3. It will all come down to the role players. We all know Wade, Dirk, James, and Bosh are going to do, but what are Terry, Kidd, Chandler, Miller, Chalmers, and others going to do to help this series go in their team's favor I'd say put Chandler on Bosh, because Bosh would struggle the whole time, but that would leave a Heat C under the rim against a smaller PF. If Caron was playing it'd be different, but he isn't
  18. I believe the Mavs vs Heat series could be a very good one. You have to teams who have very different talent levels, The Mavs to me are the better overall team with talent being more spread through the entire roster, where the Heat are the 3 headed monster. Problem will come for the Mavs is defending the 3 headed monster while not allowing anyone like Miller, Chalmers, or Bibby to get hot. The Heat will focus on Dirk and Terry, but J. Kidd can't be forgotten. He is on his last leg in terms of championship gold and he could be a force in this series. Tyson Chandler is the better Center in the series as well. Overall I expect close, good games.
  19. I think the Giants will go for someone defensive over offensive. Molina would be the best option, but I think there are options outside of him for them. On the Mets front, the winner of the whole deal is the new owner. He bought what like 33% for only 200 million!!!!! then in a couple years he can by majority. If Wilpon blocks it he gets his 200 million back and still keeps the 33%. He has a chance to own 33% of the team without even actually paying for any of the team.
