Maybe he can hit up the indies and actually have some matches for a change.

Ehm No. Why because he was being used regularly on the TNA house shows. TNA House shows + chance to be on t.v. once storylines evolved >>>> Any indie. Being main eventer in ROH would be a lateral move so the only thing that would be good for him money/profile wise would be taking a chance with the E.

And that's just looking at it for him personally. As a wrestling fan I won't be seeing him on t.v. anymore on the program I like watching, ROH style I don't like and WWE is questionable if they will use him and how long he will be stuck in developmental.

So as it stands now no this is not good in anyway shape or form and can only be good if he goes to the E and gets really used or becomes a main eventer in ROH for a lateral move. Or maybe becomes a big part of NJPW

  2. Well that is about all we know about him and he was intern before that as well. We know a lot less about him then all the other guys formerly in creative or who worked as road agents.

On the non mystery man front Don West is apparently leaving TNA to focus on his website and become a manager for a Ice Hockey team in Washington state. The split has been totally amicable.

Don will be hard to replace and was a real part of TNA imho and will be missed but this is apparently something he really wanted to do himself and was a very good offer so all the best too him.

Not so much in TNA but in the WWE.

I remember reading that the reason why HHH and the McMahon family came to the forefront of the WWE was for that very reason. Vince felt burned by what happened with the whole Bret Hart situation and so he started pushing himself and his family because he knew they would never leave (Well Shane did.).

And to save money as they where losing it hand over fist at that time.

  4. Zero creative power since 2009. Still involved with the house shows and outside projects though business and creative wise. Prichard is head writer with Conway as assistant, Hogan has an "advisory" role but that's strong advise, Bischoff executive producer also strong executive if ya know what I mean.

So based on job titles Prichard should be THE MAN, but yeah you still can't be sure who is responsible for what. If Prichard has the power to veto Bisch or Hogan then yeah he's responsible, but Russo didn't have that power so I don't think he has either.

Conway has been the mystery man in TNA for ages now, only description I have heard about him is that he is there as Dixie's liason/informant and is in training and is a writer. Also someone with strong influence within TNA is Kevin Sullivan as head of production. No not that Kevin Sullivan.

Officially Lagana is only for other projects then Impact Wrestling but he has been known to help some times.

And off course there is Dixie and her mom and dad, via purse strings, who is/are rumored to be involved with the creative end from time to time and outside forces like Spike.'

    Nice and clear huh.

Personally I'd put Prichard in clear charge of creative what he says go then have 1 writer guy and 1 wrestling guy with the SAME vision as his assistants. Kind of like the Jarrett, Mantell, Russo, setup but then with the same vision. Not Russo and Mantell butting heads and Jarrett making the wrong choices. With Dixie's only power on the creative end being to fire the head guy if business really goes south like with Dusty.

  5. It's not so much the nepotism stuff for me but he really is that bad. No look, no mic skills, no ring skills. Terry at least has a look and when given time similar level ring skills. I am not saying worst wrestler ever but he is in no way deserving to be on the roster.

Who in recent times has had such a strong bush and is this bad? And btw Jeff Jarrett and Trips are probably the best two "nepotism" workers out there so I don't mind them as much. More their time on top when they where not doing their product any favors.

  6. WCW did that so people wouldn't get confused... cheering for the heels &

booing the babyfaces, all trying to make it like it was real. But that was when they were not as popular as, say, the NWO era.

I also heard that they filtered out as much 'true' wrestling fans as possible for that reason.

That's their Disney era right? Yeah they did that because as well because they wanted to know what the general audience liked and disliked having them fill in question forms and stuff.

Standard staple for any wrestling show in the "dark time" to pump up the crowd and (semi) instruct them to boo the heels and cheer the faces. Hell TNA had separate entrances for a long while.

On the current hot chicks they probably pick em out of line and put em front and center, also standard fair. WWE has some of those as well, recent example the all green Cena family at both ppvs.

TNA has a mix of people that just visit the theme park and pop in and others that are on a sort of fan list that get early entry and they pay the Universal entrance price just for the show.

Still the best honest crowd reaction is going on the road and getting reactions from those crowds. That's THE best barometer for what does and doesn't work and why EB is pushing for it so hard.

  7. It's been consistantly good IMO for a good few months, they still make really stupid decision, but for the first time since Hulk joined in Jan 2010, I feel like it's better than WWE. Get rid of Hulk and it would be enjoyable virtually all the way through just because they actually have good matches on TV to make up for the stupid things which WWE mostly doesn't.

Well Hulk is finally being used as he should be, putting over the talent instead of himself. If his presence lessens a bit once hes fully settled as GM hes doing great. Garret Bischoff and the heel sympathy jobbers Robbie E and T are the only ones I have real problems with watching. And Madison but that's more personal I think then the other 3.

  8. It is better, not perfect but better. Lot more structure and continuity in the storylines etc. Plus the gap between Nostalgia talent, Known somewhere else guys, and TNA me guys has gotten a lot smaller. Nostalgia are now mainly in support roles, as GM Hogan still appears plenty but he does it in a good way by putting over talent and not himself and he's just new in the role. Plus TNA talent is getting wins over the other guys.

There are still bad parts, hello Garret Bischoff. But with the improved structure/booking it is pretty enjoyable atm. As always if you haven't watched in a while it is confusing so you need to give it some time but since Lockdown things have been pretty good and the lead up too lockdown was good minus GB.

  9. I don't think I would even buy a TNA invasion at this point. Let's face it, TNA hasn't done itself any favors.

Seems since Prichard has taken over they are in repair mode, except for the GB stuff, but it will take probably more then a year of solid booking like now to repair all the previous damage. And if they wanted too WWE could make them seem like a threat. Hell for a while Nexus looked like a threat and apart from Wade they where/are all midcarders at best unless some really improve.

  10. So maybe it's bigger than just Sting... maybe it's... an invasion storyline!:eek::eek:

Well, one can always dream. :p

That could only work if it was the other way around as McMahon would just bury em despite it being one of the few clear chances left to get rating's traction. Anyhoo there will be a "small invasion" lol as it is rumored a current WWE talent will be doing some stuff for a TNA dvd also as part of the deal.

  11. So first they put Sting at their alumni section, then they put him #1 in this list...

I'm a huge Sting mark, so I'm not complaining, but is it just wishful thinking or might they have struck some sort of deal with TNA for one or more appearances by him down the line...?

They did talk when doing the "Flair at Hall of Fame" arrangement, and Dixie Carter mentioned that more came out of it...

Yeah RVD and Sting where added to the WWE alumni section and Hogan's twitter got added to WWE's twitter list and other small stuff like that.

  12. This really has been the only interesting thing in TNA for awhile .. James Storm is fun but ... Where has he gone!? I haven't watched WWE regular since 01/02 so it wouldn't be fair for me to compare them, but TNA just seems to be far too much Hogan/Bischoff (and this is from a guy who has always liked Bischoff (Eric not Garrett)) and random weirdness. Like months of Abyss playing his own brother searching for Abyss ... This is Pro Wrestling and not Lost right!?

EB is off screen for now and they are toning down Hogan and GB lately, hope it lasts. On the Abyss thing meh pretty standard storyline and has been executed decently so far. Storm had a big video last week covering his thoughts on losing to Roode and IRL is taking some time off to heal injuries.

BTW Heath Ledger Joker you mean right Stennick. Jim Carey was The Riddler. And BTW what wrestling are you enjoying now then?

  13. I don't think you can really say that anymore. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, have both had monster pushes. Guys like Low Ki were getting pushed before they reminded everyone they're Low Ki and they left. If this was 2002 then yes but these days lots of guys that normally wouldn't get chances have gotten chances.

I don't watch the WWE because its boring to me, I don't watch TNA because its boring to me. Does it really matter which one is better when they're both dull? I've tried to watch both in the last few months and I'm just bored. The only time TNA has interested me is when Sting was walking around playing Jim Carey playing the Joker.

It's not just the size etc thing, being a "TNA guy" hasn't helped so far either. Plus there is only room for so many guys of that style and size at the top of the roster. And if those type of guys are not on top they are at the bottom.
