  1. I think the more obvious question is did Nash blow out his legs entering or exiting the ring?
  2. Technically, both men within the span of ... two weeks? ... assaulted Johnny Ace. Cena with the shot at MitB, and Punk kicking him in the head. And during that span, both men have questioned his authority, and insulted him, so there is a personal vein that runs through it. I'd believe it would be at the call of someone higher, though, such as a Stephanie or Vince.
  3. The backstage celebration was bittersweet. While happy to see LI's own Zack Ryder (Woo Woo Woo!), I was kind of hoping for a confrontation with the KoW.

A-ha, blew your mind! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I like Booker, but he doesn't seem to gel for me on commentary. It's like he's unsure what kind of personality he wants to project, and gets caught up in himself. Two weeks ago, "D-Bry" was a nickname because Bryan was a void of charisma, but now, his boy "D-Bry" is the total package. </p><p> </p><p> And if I hear about the "Fave 5" or "Fab 5" or "Circle of 5" or whatever he's calling it at any given minute, I may scream. </p><p> </p><p> I still say a team of Josh Matthews, William Regal, and Matt Striker would be gold. Josh doing play by play (*gasp* lost art!), Regal with the old school wrestler/villain/funny story about Vinegar Viera, and Striker marking like a five year old. Classic!</p>
  5. I thought it might have been from the knee before. Looked like A-Ri bounced face first off the ropes, which is probably not a pleasant feeling.
  6. Aww, sad. Referee Mike Chioda suspended Think this means Rogaine has made the banned substance list.
  7. Yeah, I rather enjoyed it myself. And I think the idea was more to boost Barrett, with Bryan having the case, and 7 1/2 to 8 months to go. Even Cole made a point to say it was evenly matched. My guess is that by November, he'll be running on a full head of steam pushing into `mania.
  8. I think people are missing the single most important piece to come out of tonight's show ... Wade Barrett can be hit by a truck, and stand up afterwards! That poor man took more abuse than any one man should be subjected to, and "fake" or not, a lot of that looked painful.
  9. Edge strikes me as too obvious. I doubt it's Tomko or Rhyno (which makes me sad) but I wouldn't be shocked if Brodus Clay or Mason Ryan spring up along the way.
  10. I was gonna go twice, and a surprise Rhyno run in, which, I admit, would make me scream like a little girl. lol
  11. Was that when Jericho was telling all the people in the crowd to get jobs? I don't know if it was BatB or maybe some promotional thing, where Jericho was razing the crowd for being jobless bums, and was awesome doing it, but I found out later, he did it hungover. Like almost reliving the night on live television hungover. lol
  12. See, I think it should go the opposite way. Keep the belt out of it, to add fuel to the fire. Since Cena promised to have the belt going into the match, him not having it post NWO gives Rock more ammunition. And depending on how he plays it, Rock could secure himself a heel like persona going into `mania, thus "protecting" Cena's face status, or it gives more friction for the face on face confrontation, since I sincerely doubt Cena will be turning anytime in the near future.
  13. Oh yeah, what with the TE moment they had, and Miz recently mentioning his name somewhere, I definitely agree with you. It makes sense (which makes it less likely to happen. lol) My gut tells me that he'll be a good guy going into the Rumble, though. He's becoming too synonymous with "face of the WWE" for them not to consider the spin on his character, in my opinion.
  14. To be honest, I'd be surprised if Miz was still a heel to pull off a Miz/Austin match at WM28. Unlike the ever elusive Cena heel turn of the Serengeti, the Miz face turn of Manchu Picchu seems a strong possibility, what with his ability to connect with the crowd, and PR machine mentality. Also somewhat unrelated, but my future ex-wife (even if she doesn't know it yet) Michelle Beadle did a podcast for ESPN along with some other WWE fans, about Summerslam. Rather interesting listen, what with it being sportscasters who are more mainstream in their fandom, discussing the go home edition of Raw. If you're interested.
  15. There have been exceptions to the rule, and Punk is definitely first and foremost at this juncture. I will also say that I, personally, don't fault Cena for it. Which is why I included writers and agents, among others. In his position, Cena has the capability to elevate, he's the high tide that could lift all boats. I just don't believe he's given the opportunity to do so, and people like Sheamus and Barrett have suffered.
  16. Not to mention a devastating DDT on concrete that Cena shook off in 4 seconds, to "enhance" the super Cena belief. Whether you want to pin it on Cena, or the agents who map out the match, or the writers, or whatever, the issue remains that any who stepped in the ring with Cena, have failed to shine when compared to superman in jorts.
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="shawn michaels 82" data-cite="shawn michaels 82" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Also, if Punk wins and his title reign ends up beeing recognized, will John and Rey's reigns be considered null? That part of the storyline is confusing. Or was the title officially vacated when Punk left?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Cole mentioned it last week during the tournament. When Punk left, McMahon vacated the title, to set up the tournament.</p>
  18. He's been doing the What's my name? thing since the SES, hasn't he? And I still prefer the kneeling watch glance and "It's Clobbering Time" to anything else, entrance wise. Proof that Michael Cole is in D-Bry's head. lol
  19. Regal is, by far, my favorite announcer going right now. Not only does he do NXT, but he's working FCW as well, I think as both an announcer and "scout" as it were. And the man is just golden. I admit to being biased, since I've been a fan of Regal for so long as I can remember, but darnit, when you can mention your girlfriend from England named "Vinegar" Vera, who works at a Fish & Chips shop, during an FCW title match, you have a gift. If I'm not mistaken, Striker messed up his shoulder, didn't he? That's why he became a manager in the first place? And since they won't give him time at the table, why can't the man be a manager to the stars? Not like the WWE is lacking in people who can't "work the stick" as it were.
  20. I'm down in Florida, so I don't have that kind of access. Do get to attend FCW on occasion, though, or moreover, take my brother to FCW on occasion. Reason why this Iron kid interests me is because my brother has Cerebral Palsy, but to a slightly worse degree. And he's avid about wrestling, so I spend a good chunk of my week watching it. lol I'm a huge fan of Duke "Husky Harris" Rotundo and Drew McIntyre because they both met my brother, and went out of their way to embrace him, where as others were a little less personable. And if I can show him some matches with a guy who has been through some similar situations, I think he'd rather enjoy that.
  21. Which is awesome. I'm going to have to go out of my way to learn more about him now. Only if they give him air time on television.
  22. Should be noted that Punk does drop an f-bomb, so be forewarned. However that's the very small piece of the story here. Even Punk himself is the small piece, as the kid he praises is amazing. I know the effects Cerebral Palsy can have, depending on how extreme a case it is, and what Irons has done is just awesome.
  23. Doesn't that strike you as a "why didn't I think of that?" moment? lol
  24. Is it weird that I was chanting with them? When Punk hit that GTS, and Cena fell out of the ring, I felt the words "Go help him, Colt, c'mon" leave my lips. lol
