I can't argue with you there. But in my opinion they really need to sort out some continuity. I personally refuse to purchase a PPV when I am unsure whether it will spoil the TV shows coming up that I wan't to watch. Especially considering (if I remember right) ROH said it hopes to make the TV show must watch for ROH fans. (And it looks that way from the matches announced so far).

If I remember right they did a similar thing when Christopher Daniels won the TV title. He won it at the tapings, and before the show aired on TV he showed up at Final Battle with the belt. Now that didn't bother me since I wasn't watching ROH anymore (ROHBrazil had been removed), but now I can watch the TV show on the site I don't want anything spoiled for me (which also means I won't be visiting the ROH forum anymore, because it's always full of spoilers.).

And the first rubbish decision (in my opinion) in the SBG era has happened. The TV tapings are being run on August the 13th, with the first show being put on TV on 24th September. When do ROH decide to hold their next IPPV, 17th September. So lets say something big happens at the TV tapings, what happens at the IPPV, do they pretend it hasn't happened yet, and just ignore those who have read the results or were at the show, or do they spoil the TV show for the rest of us? I guessed this would be a problem, and is why I despise taping a big amount of shows at once, especially when running shows outside of tapings, it's a cant win situation. Honestly don't know whether I bother with the IPPV this time round, the schedule really doesn't work for me.

The problem is they lose some of the momentum if its not mentioned at all. I seriously lost some interest in the fued because they didn't even say his name on Raw or acknowledge what he did, they have to keep the fued fresh to the masses, not just those that follow superstars on twitter, etc. I am not saying they have to show footage or anything, but lets say Mysterio wins the title, he should do a promo saying that 'He who shall not be named' is running around saying he is champion, but a real champion actually fights and defends the belt with honor. Just tease that he could be coming back at any time. I personally feel the same way with the Rock, using the internet is clever but they also need to keep some heat alive on TV. Even if it is just Cole saying "The Rock just tweeted..."

I am excite. Just got to hope they acknowledge this on Raw.

To me Punk vs Cena was 5*, simply because it had me emotionally invested. The thing is 5* matches are very subjective, to me all of the Kobashi vs Misawa matches aren't 5* because I can't get myself invested in the matches. However to many fans they are the best matches of all time. The same applies to this match, some won't view it as 5*, but other people will.

Ha, we are pretty much on the same wave length. However I don't think Punk winning should get him the contract, as it voids what has already happened. Vince was willing to sign Punks deal, but Punk took the contract away and ripped it up because he wanted out. Why would Punk now fight for the deal?

Completely sums up my feelings. Punk has me invested in his character, which could be ruined depending where they go with it. The only way I would want him back next week is if he comes out of the crowd to try and enforce the stipulation that Cena should be fired. And in a scenario that could perfectly work for Summerslam is have Punk confront HHH and demand Cena be fired, all the while refusing another match. Then have HHH say that things are going to change from the McMahon era, and that he will be doing things differently. Have HHH say that he knows what the title means, and will do anything to prevent it leaving the title, including have a match...against Punk at Summerslam. If Punk wins, not only will HHH fire John Cena...but HHH will retire. If HHH wins, Punk must sign a new contract and return to the WWE. (Very much fantasy booking, but who knows what could happen. And I don't know where this would leave the WWE title tournament, but who cares)

Anyone else catch Punk's reference to his ROH heel turn in the opening segment? I love little references like that. Anyway, I don't have a clue what will happen at the ppv, which makes it a must watch event for me. Not even sure what to hope for.

Out of curiosity what belt(s) do you see changing hands? Because I don't see a change happening to be honest. Davey has only just won the title, and seems like he will be the man used to show new fans what the title means and that it won't just be thrown around like titles in other companies. El Generico is the perfect face, and will probably be used to help market the product to a young audience. And Haas/Benjamin are the established stars that lots of people will instantly recognise. Out of those the only change I see possible is the tag titles, but I can't see any team better than WGTT to carry them into the new era.
