  1. <p>It appears AJ Styles is actually going to be defending the title around the world. AAA have announced he will defend the title against El Mesias this Sunday.</p><p> </p><p> I am very excited to see how far TNA go with this, and where else AJ will defend the belt.</p>

This is a shot of the other side, which I am guessing they focused on selling to look good on camera. Still not great for half the arena to be (pretty much) empty, but the attendance was better than the picture above makes out.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="BXEA-bxCEAEj4No.jpg:large" data-src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BXEA-bxCEAEj4No.jpg:large" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  3. Haven't really been watching ROH lately, but a free show equals me staying up to watch it (stupid time difference). Looking forward to see a new champion crowned (Adam Cole being my prediction)...and looks like a good show all round.
  4. I was quite disappointed with Wrestlemania overall, there were some good matches, but nothing really made the night seem special, it just seemed like a routine show, not the spectacle Wrestlemania should be. Although I seem to be one of the few that enjoyed Rock-Cena for what it was. The matches at the start of show were all quite disappointing to me. Barrett vs. Miz was a poor match, and ending Barrett's title reign on the pre-show seems like terrible booking to me, even more so with it being to The Miz who just doesn't work as a face for me. The Shield vs. Orton/Sheamus/Show was a decent enough match, and I was definitely pleased with The Shield picking up the win. But something more needed to be delivered by Orton/Sheamus/Show. It now seems pointless them banding together and trusting The Big Show only for Orton not to trust him on the night. Having Orton or Sheamus turn post-match would have been a stand out moment on the card, but nothing like that happened. Ryback vs. Henry wasn't well worked for me, and the finish terrible. There had to have been a better way to keep the story going. And why have Ryback attack post match to make the fans happy, the whole top of the card was faces winning, they didn't need the feel good of Ryback's revenge. Team Hell No vs. Ziggler/Big E., a fun enough match but no real developments made. And Ziggler losing like this at Wrestlemania when he only has a few months to cash in MITB does not make sense to me. He should be being booked as a threat, not be losing constantly. I was also disappointed in the briefcase playing a role in this match, but not being cashed in later, it seemed like a tease but nothing came of it. Fandango vs. Jericho didn't do too much for me, and I don't like Fandango beating Jericho in his debut...especially at WM. Fandango isn't that high up the card, and could have gone forward being mocked for losing this match. Because of this result I am guessing we are going to see Fandango vs. Miz soon for the IC title. Del Rio vs. Swagger. One of the better matches on the card, and I can't complain about how the match was booked, although I do kind of wish we had a Ziggler cash in afterwards. Undertaker vs. Punk. Like the match above, a good match, although I don't rate it as highly as I have seen many, Taker's matches at the last few 'Manias trump this one for me. As much as I like Punk, and wanted to believe he could win the match, there wasn't a single time in the match I believed Undertaker wouldn't kick out at 2. And at the same time apart from the finish I never saw Punk being pinned, but when Undertaker hit the Tombstone in the perfect position for the camera it was obvious it was over. I was also disappointed by the lack of post match interaction here, Punk just left without being seen by the camera, and the urn was just randomly left by Heyman...what was that all about. Triple H vs. Lesnar was good, although the Kimura became overplayed as the match went on. I enjoyed this match overall, and felt Brock put in a good performance when he was controlling the match. My one gripe though was Michaels getting F5'd and then not getting revenge. Yes he got Heyman, but I still feel he needed to Sweet Chin Music Brock as well. Random note here...and I can't believe I am saying it...We needed Tons of Funk here. For each of the wrestlers in the match this must have felt terrible being pulled from the card, not even getting put on the pre-show (Surely WWE could have pulled one or two of the video packages from the pre-show to make some time for the match). But we needed a cool down, either before or after HHH/Lesnar. Terrible decision by the WWE to completely pull the match unless there was a legitimate reason, which there doesn't seem to be. And finally...Rock vs. Cena. Now I am not going to claim this as a great wrestling match...nor am I going to say I liked the post match stuff (I was repeating 'Hit him with the belt' to myself from when Cena was handed it until the show went off the air). However this was the first match of the night that got me on the edge of my seat wondering who would win. Despite it having being quite obvious Cena would win, every Rock Bottom had me thinking "What if Rock won?...Could it happen?...1...2...No." And Cena's Peoples Elbow spot was great. It is rare that a match comes along and gets me that invested, as normally I have a smark hat on while watching wrestling. It was nice to go back to just being a mark for once. Also, horrible commentary. The amount of mistakes those guys made was infuriating to me.
  5. I will join in the prediction party. The Rock vs. John Cena -Cena gets revenge for last year, and this sets up a rubber match down the road (although I am hoping not WM 30...we don't need this match 3 years in a row). The Undertaker vs. CM Punk -While Punk is one of the most likely people to end the streak in recent years I cannot see it happening. Punk would be able to run with being the streak breaker and make the most out of it, but I think the streak has come to far now for it to be broken. Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar -Can't see HHH retiring yet. Although Lesnar could win if it is just a storyline retirement (or a corporate retirement not an in ring one.) Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger -Rooting for a Ziggler cash in after this match, and it would probably have more impact if he cashes on Del Rio. The Shield vs. Orton/Sheamus/Show -The Shield should win this one as they have been shown to work as a team, while Orton, Sheamus and Show have been thrown together. Would be a bit anti-climatic for The Shield to lose here. Ryback vs. Mark Henry -Put over the newer guy and give him some momentum to move on with. I see Ryback being a possibility for first shot at Cena, so he should win here. Fandango vs. Chris Jericho -Fandango should not win here for me. My booking would be he taps to the Walls of Jericho, but attacks after the match getting him some good heat on the night, and going forward. Have the fans chanting you tapped out at him to goad him into matches in the future, even if they can't pronounce his name. Team Hell No vs. Ziggler/Big E. -Yep, I am in the camp of Ziggler walks out a double champion. It would be a good story Ziggler having to wrestle twice a night defending titles, and it would allow Bryan/Kane to possibly break-up. Wade Barrett vs. The Miz -Hope rather than expectation. Barrett's reign shouldn't end now, and even if it did it deserves a better end than a pre-show. Edit - Missed: Tons of Funk + Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars + Bella Twins -This match will probably to cool off the crowd at a late stage, and sadly it will probably just provide comic relief with Tons of Funk having a dance post match.
  6. Not watching the show live, too tired to stay up long enough to watch the full show....and overall not too bothered about the card. Also still haven't been able to watch BiTW 2012 without audio issues, so that has left me slightly hesitant to buy an ippv from the ROH site again (50/50 for ppvs ordered since they came off GFL...Border Wars perfect, BiTW still dodgy). Would appreciate a post on whether the show is worth it by anyone that watches...not really looking like one of the best ROH cards but if the matches deliver I may consider ordering later.
  7. Shells recent social advertising campaign has backfired quite heavily...http://arcticready.com/social/gallery
  8. I expect ROH will allow them to continue under the masks and have a short feud with The Briscoes, before they get unmasked and killed one final time by 'Dem Boys'. Would have been interesting to see how the originally planned team could have worked under masks, especially considering Chris Sabins current circumstance.
  9. Even slower than you I finally watched the match, and...WOW. Brilliant match, and ranks alongside the best matches I have ever seen. It had absolutely everything, and the intensity . Now to watch Border Wars. Today has been a good day for watching wrestling.
  10. MGK is starting to get exposure, but I would still say he is pretty obscure. Flo Rida had to be there to give Rock his entrance hype to match Cena/MGK...Diddy was just pointless.
  11. Big fan of MGK here, but I will admit he wasn't brilliant there. Been an...interesting...show so far. Mad at the opener, HHH/'Taker was awesome, and the big match still to come.
  12. Damn it. I assumed it was the same as yesterday. Herp Derp. What happened with the Cole/O'Reilly match? Did the stream just cut out? If that's the case glad I didn't watch it live, that would have ****** me off. Hopefully the footage still exists and can be salvaged for the replays.
  13. Both parts of the show seem to be up now. Starting my viewing now, having left the live stream last night after the ANX/Young Bucks match. Wasn't particulally impressed with GFL last night, but like TFC I have had positive experience with them in the past so it hasn't pushed me to boycott GFL territory yet. Hopefully, again like TFC, I can get through the first show before the second one kicks off. Watching from the start again, because the audio issues kinda ruined the matches yesterday.
  14. I will be watching the shows, live if I can stay up long enough. I completely agree with you on the Steen/Davey scenario, probably waiting for GBH or DBD to pull it off (atleast I hope it's not put off till FB). It's also madness that Steen vs Generico is almost being thrown away on this card. The feud wen't from being huge, ending with Steen out of the promotion, to this? I have no problem with Steen being back, but I don't see where his feud with Generico goes. How do you top the last feud ending? (Well Generico turning would work, but he is the ultimate babyface, why turn?) I would say I wan't Steen to challenge for the title mainly because it is a bit of unpredictability. Do I see Elgin (Davey's night 2 opponent), Edwards or Strong walking away from this weekend champion, the short answer is no. Can I see Steen winning the title, yes. I doubt it will happen soon, but maybe by Final Battle. And that's what I wan't, unpredictability. Something unfortunately ROH can't deliver all the time. Slightly dissapointed Lance Storm isn't on the second day as well, but couldn't expect too much considering he is in semi-retirement. And hopefully this goes some of the way to getting Bennett accepted by the majority of ROH fans. Still pumped for the show though.

  17. Very jealous. Played the demo to death, need the full game already. Any rules against a GDS party at your house?
  18. Quite ironic with the song's name, but it is a good song by an artist I really like. Good song choice WWE.
  19. Wow, how did I not notice that before? Herp Derp.
  20. Just watching a few youtube videos from the game, and just seen an old video (November) showing a Pride Mode fight. Something that seems weird is despite saying it's a 10 minute first round (of course correct for Pride), the footage showed a minute less remaining of fight time every 30 'real' seconds. I don't know whether this was because it was an early build of the game or some other reason. Don't suppose you know whether the Pride fights actually take 10 minutes to complete the first round? Or whether they actually take 5? Or is it a choice?
  21. Ha. http://img1.UploadScreenshot.com/images/main/1/1321371394.jpg Seems legit.
  22. Very cool. Also glad you learned your lesson from last time about over-dressing .
  23. YES. Very happy about that. Now let's hope for a good main event. Steen vs Richards anyone?
