  1. First post updated with roster and show history Yeah, WWE 2006 it was. The planning/ideas stage was great, but we never managed to get it going. I've downloaded the pdf's of the first three ELITE episode's you've put out, looking forward to reading them! Looking good from what I've read so far I've set up ECW as a seperate company, and signed the people who I wanted to one year written deals. Of course, I won't be able to do that with new signings or resignings, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. The company won't be part of the brand split, as I want to distance it from being WWE's ECW. It feels almost impossible to run an ECW that's true to the original, while openly being under the umbrella. Of course, it is a WWE funded promotion, but I want it to function as a stand alone company. In terms of imposing restrictions, it depends what the game throws up. I will be keeping everybody (unless we release them) for the duration of the 1 year contracts, and then hopefully the WWE will want to steal some of the more over competitors (a mass exodus at the end of our first year would be great). I hope this happens naturally in the game, but if not, I plan to add a user character as the WWE and take some talent, if they aren't proactive about it. CM Punk is somebody who I don't see lasting beyond a year or two in ECW, and hopefully we can make a few more stars worth stealing. Outwardly we want to keep the assocation with the WWE to a minimum, but "behind the scenes", there is still the fact that the company has - at least in part - been created to feed the WWE their next generation of talent. Like I said, hopefully the game does that for me. If not, I will definitely be imposing some things to make it a little bit more in line with the intention of the company being set up. Adding users isn't ideal, and neither is going into the editor, but it's something I've decided to do with this save for a couple of reasons. One to add those challenges, but also so I have access to talent from the actual WWE development companies (OVW/DSW) if and when I want to bring somebody in from there.

I must be honest, I really don't like The Revolution as the name for the group you've been pushing. There was already a group with that name in WCW, and I personally think it's just a very generic name. One alternative name I came up with is "The Assault Squad", since these younger guys have a more realistic and hard-hitting style of fighting. If you have already recorded a bunch of episodes, you can keep the name. I just think that it doesn't have much personality.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks, I'm not the biggest fan of the name either tbh. It's more of a placeholder really, and I'm not desperate for them to have an official name. They're being referred to as "revolutionaries" and occasionally I will say "The Revolution", but as of yet I'm happy with them not having a proper stable name. At least until something better sticks.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DGenerationMC" data-cite="DGenerationMC" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46739" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I was expecting them to be called The Pitbulls or The Exchange, someething like that. Of course, LAX is an influence of the group too. The Pitbulls did cross my mind funnily enough, but with the Pitbulls that were in the original ECW, I thought I'd best avoid it.</p>
  5. ECW CyberSlam - Episode #3 Episode #3: <iframe width="745" height="420" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Ndy4YblpLnc" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <hr color="black"> Yeah, I've been going with Homicide as the mouthpiece, just need to get his overness up. Long-term it won't be an issue (given everyone should get more over, as well as the direction the storyline will take). I have taken liberties with what people are rated on a couple of times, but I don't want to take it too far and feel like I'm cheating. I know it doesn't matter, but I like to see the natural progression that we can hopefully get (although I am pretty bad at getting people over). Might give it a go if we don't see any progress soon, we will see. Had already considered bringing Nana in (just don't have an idea for him yet), but will check on Truth in the mod and see if he's worth picking up. Thanks
  6. ECW.com Preview - Episode #3 of ECW On the first episode of ECW CyberSlam, newcomers Homicide, Low-Ki and Xavier made their impacts in this company, attacking the iconic originals Rob Van Dam, The Sandman, Tommy Dreamer and Sabu at the end of the show. Last week, Tommy Dreamer set out for revenge, challenging any member of that group to a one on one match. While Homicide was the one to accept the challenge, he didn't come alone. However, when Rob Van Dam and Sabu neutralised the involvement of Low-Ki and Xavier, Tommy Dreamer appeared to be back in control of the match. That was until he was jumped from behind, and Powerbombed through a table, by the debuting Sonny Siaki! This allowed Homicide to pick up the victory, getting one over on the ECW Originals for the second straight week. Joey Styles declared that so far, "the new ECW belongs to the New Breed" and the evidence backs that up. This week, Tommy Dreamer and co. will look to kick start "the fight back", and have vowed to take the war straight to Homicide, Low-Ki, Xavier and Sonny Siaki - as soon as the newcomers make an appearance. Also on CyberSlam, Elijah Burke will make his debut, the self-proclaimed "future of ECW" facing Justin Credible. CM Punk will take on Danny Doring, while Steve Corino and Stevie Richards will make their returns to the new ECW, squaring off in the Main Event of the show!<hr> Match Card Elijah Burke vs. Justin Credible CM Punk vs. Danny Doring Steve Corino vs. Stevie Richards

  8. ECW.com Preview - Episode #2 of ECW Last week saw the return of Extreme Championship Wrestling, as Paul Heyman welcomed back some ECW originals, while unleashing the "New Breed" upon the ECW arena. The debut of CyberSlam got off to a heated start, as three unsigned talents confronted the man in charge. They initially refused an invitation to enter the ECW ring, but made their presence felt at the end of the night, taking out Rob Van Dam and Sabu. The trio, consisting of independent stars Low-Ki, Homicide and Xavier, then turned their attention to Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman, leaving the four iconic figures out in the middle of the ring. While they were unsigned at the time of the show, it has been confirmed that Paul Heyman has offered the three men ECW contracts, with Tommy Dreamer desperate to get his hands on the attackers. He will challenge any member of the group to face him, in the Main Event of CyberSlam! Two other members of "The New Breed" made their ECW debuts on the show, albeit in an official capacity. CM Punk was successful in the first match of the revived promotion, while Brent Albright picked up a hard-fought victory over CW Anderson. Albright will once again have the chance to show his abilities to the ECW fans, as he faces Al Snow on CyberSlam... The show will also see some classic ECW tag team action, as old favourites The F.B.I face Danny Doring & Roadkill. Extra incentive will be added to the match, as Doring (and his girlfriend Shelly Martinez) reportedly rubbed many members of the ECW locker room up the wrong way, very quickly into the promotions return last week.<hr> Match Card Danny Doring & Roadkill (w/ Shelly Martinez) vs. "The F.B.I" Little Guide & Tony Mamaluke (w/ Trinity) Al Snow vs. Brent Albright Tommy Dreamer vs. Homicide or Low-Ki or Xavier Which of the three attackers will accept Dreamer's challenge? <hr> Thanks, I've gone for a few lesser used people, as well as a few unsurprising picks. I wanted to pick guys who had done something by 2006, and not just guys I knew will eventually come good. That's good advice, and something I will try and do where I can. Aries and Strong are both on a fairly sizeable shortlist, and do feel like a good fit eventually. While I establish the initial roster, signing may be minimal, but thanks for the suggestions. They would be a good addition to the tag division.

  16. Just to double check I fully understand the last bit. I generally book in order from the start of the show to the end (Match #1 first, Main Event last for example) . Does this now mean each time I put in a new segment I will have to move it from the bottom to the top? If so, is there any chance this could be a chooseable option or would that not be possible?
  17. This week's entries have been particularly brilliant so far IMO. Lots of the big things I was hoping for have already been confirmed! What I mean by that is say foolinc (Just using his name as an example as he was the one who posted directly above me) started a TCW dairy and for whatever reason he no longer wanted to write it anymore but he wanted to see it continue. <p> </p><p> Therefore, he passed it off to HiPlus (once again just using usernames for example purposes) who writes the diary for the next five or six shows before passing it off to someone else. What we would end up having is writers having different "runs" on diaries. </p><p> </p><p> Now I know most people would be opposed to this as their dairy is their "baby". Which is understandable, but I always thought it would be a neat concept to try out. You could see how different writers, write and what workers they decide to push. </p><p> </p><p> I know for me one of the reasons why I stopped writing diaries on here was a combination of real life getting in the way and burnout over writing the same characters over and over again. This could combat that as a writer could hand off the baton to someone else and then could return to the diary at a later date.</p><p> </p><p> You could bring on a guest writer for one show. I don't know I am just spitballing here.</p><p> </p><p> Anyway, I would be interested in hearing what others have to say about this idea.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Not a great deal to add, other than to say I am a big fan of this idea. Would be interesting to see how it changed from the beginning to however long down the road. Would definitely enjoy being part of the chain at some point.</p>
  20. Does this location/venue feature replace "use generic venue" or will that still be an option?
  21. <p>I currently use Survey Monkey, and find it useful for feedback purposes. I have seen google forms used for surveys more commonly. Could anybody who has used either or both tell me the benefits and drawbacks of either choice?</p><p> </p><p> I am happy with Survey Monkey, but interested to know if one is considered more acessable, user friendly or just generally better. 23. Can't see a reason why not. Pretty sure we've had some on here before
  24. Found Bound For Glory to be a mixed bag. More good than bad though I would say. James Ellsworth and Tommy Dreamer showing up bugged me, just because I have had enough of seeing them. Would much have preferred Eddie Edwards vs. Moose to remain a singles match. Enjoyed the opener, and Tessa Blanchard continues to impress me. The LAX match was different, and ended up being better than I thought when I initially saw the state of the ring. oVe vs. Lucha Bros & Cage was great, as I had expected it to be. And I enjoyed the finish, thought it was a good way to end the undefeated streak, and put oVe over (since they're a full-time unit). I thought the Allie thing was a good way to fill the gap as the ring was sorted out, and enjoyed parts of it. The main event was good, enjoyed it more than I did Aries/Moose at Slammiversary, but didn't think Johnny was the right guy to take the title. After the match, I don't know what to think. I am verging on thinking it was a "worked shoot", in which case - I will lose a lot of faith in them, having watched solidly since the incredible Slammiversary. If it was legit, then Aries is a strange man. I suppose that's the reaction they wanted (if it's part of the storyline), but doing an explicit "he's not following the script" is just about the lowest of the low in a wrestling story for me. "The rest of this is fake... but this bits real, promise!" really doesn't work at all. Going to wait and see what comes of it, but I see this as nothing as a negative, and would be surprised if anything could change my opinion on that.
