  1. ? http://i59.tinypic.com/5b1z08.png The New Year was always an interesting time for the Eisen Family. Particularly for Richard, who would hold his annual private dinner with a number of his close friends, before they would see in the New Year together. This exclusive meeting had previously seen the likes of Rip Chord, Sam Keith and Sam Strong visit the secluded Eisen home. More recently it had been a much more low-key affair, with Runaway Train, Christian Faith and Peter Michaels along with the boss, counting in the New Year, while drinking, talking business and reminiscing over the past 12 months. Very few have ever attended the meeting, with only the select few who’ve gained Richard’s trust seeing the inside of his home. Despite the content of the meetings only being known by those in attendance, the meeting has still become part of the SWF folklore. The reason for this pertains to the fact that the meeting is often the catalyst for big changes in the company, both on-screen and off it. This year however, was slightly different, mainly because Richard Eisen took the unbelievable step of spending New Year’s Eve with his family - or at least his two son’s Eric & Jerry - who had for the first time both been deemed ‘of age’ to attend the meeting. Richard would have an important proposal to make to his boys at the gathering. As the night went on, Richard, who made it clear he was still enjoying running the SWF, admitted for the first time that he realised the day would come where he could no longer deal with the day-to-day running of the company. This turned out to be the reason his son’s had been invited to the evening. Richard Eisen outlined his desire for his son’s to take over the company after he had retired and run the company with a similar hands-on approach that he had taken. He explained that his boys' roles in the business side of the company would be increased over the next 12 months, with the intent to ease the transition into a new generation of the SWF. Over the last half-decade, Jerry has already been slowly transitioning into the executive positions of the SWF, while Eric had shown interest solely in his on screen position. Following the meeting, these positions had been re-establish with Jerry showing a much greater interest in the news than his younger brother. As such, the changes to Jerry’s role were much greater than Eric’s, with him beginning to ‘shadow’ his father in day to day operations, as well as joining the creative team (largely made up of the men at the meeting). Eric on the other hand would continue to focus on his in-ring duties, but accepted that he would have to eventually learn the business side of the industry should he wish to take a prominent role after his retirement. The increased influence of the Eisen boys would not only have an effect on the main SWF roster, but also the development system - which had been describe as “disappointing” during the meeting. Amongst other things, a complete overhaul of the system was proposed, a process which Richard was keen for Jerry to take a major role in. This would be Jerry’s first major responsibility of the transitional period and one that would have an impact of the long-term future of the SWF. It truly would be a baptism of fire for Richard’s eldest son.
  2. Anyone who I've heard talk about the NXT naming process says they submit their own names, and yeah they are generally better than what they have on the indies anyway IMO. If this Steen news is true it's great news and a great opportunity for him, worst case scenario I can see is he goes to NXT, has some good matches at the very least. Even if it ends up like Ohno/Hero he'll go back to the indies refreshed and with more interest around him. To presume he'll be misused seems a bit outdated to me (and for my money him debuting as a member of The Shield would be as bad as any idea WWE creative could come up with)
  3. The turn was brilliantly done IMO, Triple H was so good on the mic earlier in the night too. Interested to see where they go next.

  5. Sorry to be vague, but having tried and failed myself, I'd like any version Dusty Ducont in any kind of mask or paint to make him "Captain Canada" (similar to Bulldozer Brandon's American Patriot alt.) if possible. Not sure what exactly but anything cover the face would be good. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

  7. <p>Amazing show. Top class from start to finish. One of the best shows I've watched live.</p><p> </p><p> Unbelievable moment, I really have nothing to say but wanted to say how enjoyable that was <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> They got me going with Orton/Batista winning, the most shocking thing ever happened - brilliantly done.</p><p> </p><p> CESARO! Even The Shield squash was a good move given they were on limited time. I think some people will never be pleased, which is fine but it's hard to be unpredictable these days since everyone is so 'smart' and that is a moment that I'll never forget, Brock's and Heyman's reactions and all the fans was incredible.</p><p> </p><p> So interested as to where Brock goes now - I imagine he'll take the title from Bryan maybe, and maybe Brock/Rock next year. Don't think Taker losing to some young up and comer would've done much tbh, it's not really like that anymore I don't think <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Great way to end it IMO</p>

  11. I know how you feel. It's why I struggle with Real World diaries and trying to keep it pretty realistic while also watching the show and seeing stuff you wished you'd done. I agree it'd be best to start at Summerslam, since there's a 'head start' where you can get into the save while knowing how they did it. Once you reach real time you will have changed quite a bit so it probably would bother you so much I'd think. I see no problem with you basing a lot of the early stuff on what WWE did, it's what I've done in the past to help get into the flow of it with a 2002 game and 2006.
  12. Bryan/Taker would be brilliant. Hogan/Bryan/Cena vs. Wyatts would be cool as well for me. Ideally with Bryan getting the biggest reaction of the 3 <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  13. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Mammoth" data-cite="Mammoth" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I do think the crowd are invested in Roman Reigns but not nearly as much as they were tonight. Most of the cheers for Reigns only came when only he and Batista were left so I think most people were just cheering for the lesser of two evils.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don't think that many other guys would've got the reaction that Reigns did. I have no way of knowing but <em>I</em> think a lot of it is how good he is. I think people are ready to really get behind him and this was a good starting point (being last two and The Shield stuff)</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Mammoth" data-cite="Mammoth" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>As for Bryan, I think it would have made him stronger if there was a clear path for him to follow but now The Wyatts have clearly moved on to Cena, it kinda leaves him in the lurch. They can obviously save it on Raw tomorrow but just for tonight, everyone's negativity is justified.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I have no problem with anybodies negativity but I enjoyed it, so I gave a bit of balance. I think he'll play a big part in the build to Mania. I thought he had a great match, and they delivered on what they advertised, for that reason I had no complaints. I might be the only one, but I didn't think Bryan would be in the Rumble, so I wasn't disappointed.</p><p> </p><p> Bryan's tweets suggest their keeping the Authority keeping him down bubbling under and I think tomorrow will tell a lot. I rarely get annoyed at wrestling, and I keep optimistic (possibly too much so), until I have reason otherwise - to me, this is another good step for Bryan being even more over. The 'moments' Bryan has created have all been because he's 'held down', it's what has made him since at least WM 28. The more that fans perceive this, the stronger he gets from what I've seen. He's in a prominent role on every TV show (most TV Main Event) and had a great match tonight. Fair enough with the negative, but I see a lot to be positive about, since <em>I</em> enjoyed the show.</p>
  14. <p>Bryan losing and not being in the Rumble only makes him stronger <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> And WWE know that. Didn't mind Reigns not winning, but it's a good sign for him long term and the crowd are invested in him. What WWE do best is making me want more. Might be annoyed at certain outcomes but I know for a fact I'm a whole lot more behind certain guys after tonight. I think the 'internet fans' are the people who get most invested into their own versions of face and heels these days. Seems like a modernised versions of regular face/heel reaction to me, but who knows.</p><p> </p><p> No complaints from me, especially considering how invested I got in wanting Reigns to win it <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. Cena/Orton out of the way on the Rumble where it wasn't a main focus, so we know we won't see it again. Good show IMO, I enjoyed it.</p><p> </p><p> I do agree that there is increasingly good reaction to the new guys and think they're not far off (maybe after Mania) having a few guys really break out as stars. The future is bright <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/cool.png.f00d2562b2c1d873a09323753efdb041.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> WWE certainly know their audience as far as I can tell</p>
  15. V. interested to see how this Bryan stuff plays out. The ending with the fans chanting his name looked really good and played into it well. It's one of those Raw's that happen ever so often that seem to hit the reset switch. Can't wait for next week's show now for the first time in a while
  16. The inpenetrable Cell proves its worth once again.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  17. On the picture, it's not a good look IMO to have a load of empty seats on display. The fans on one side would've seen that all night and it'd hurts the atmosphere I think. I don't know what they could've done but from it's looks bad. Also showing Magnus lose to AJ after he just beat Sting was a bit dumb.
  18. <p>I thought the PPV was weak and there wasn't either a big show feel or any great matches. I thought they should've put stuff to bed for a 'revamp' because to me the Main Event was an extended angle. It's pretty unfair to compare it to Mania I guess, but as their version I expected clean finishes and the Angle segment after was weird. Bad Influence were great again.</p><p> </p><p> That said the reality TV star happens to also be a pretty good wrestler, I've been plesantly surprised by Jesse, expecting him to be terrible and to hate but he's actual good from what I've seen and not nearly as annoying as I thought he would be (I was expecting Miz level's of annoyance <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />) </p><p> </p><p> How is AJ TNA's Cena btw?</p>
  19. It really is something TNA have over WWE is that it seems that guys (like EGO) are able to go out and do their, or at least it comes across like that. If anything is funny or creative on it's own, WWE usually get their writers all over it and milk out the joke, where it seems like EGO and EY (even Robbie E at times for me) get a bit of freedom to be funny on their own. It really creates some great segments. Everything Bad Influence have been in post-AJ Story has been hilarious. Definitely one of my favourite part of any show.
  20. I like the BroMans <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  21. Yeah, probably unfair to write her off so quickly but from what I've seen before I'm not a fan. She doesn't seem to have the mannerisms right to me, but time will tell.
  22. <p>I skipped Dixie and Sting talking. She's getting a reaction but I wonder (since I have no idea) whether people at home are seeing her as a heel or just switching over. Gotta see how it goes obviously but at the moment I'm getting a couple of minutes in and skipping. To be fair I can see a point in it helping AJ, since he was getting a bit of a quite reaction before Hogan/Dixie helped him out.</p><p> </p><p> Interesting whether Ethan having the surname Carter will have any link to Dixie too.</p><p> </p><p> Lots I'm not enjoying on the show still (Lei'd Tapa(?)) but EGO are amazing amongst other things on the show so I'm still watching.</p>
