Things are heated at the beginning, but <strong>Cody</strong> calls a truce and says that while it's been made clear to him their loyalty lies with <strong>Kenny Omega</strong>, he knows that in Ring of Honor, he is the champion and champions (while pointing to <strong>Scurll</strong> as well as himself and his wife, <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong>) require a certain protection. And when the Bucks win the Tag titles from the Briscoes, they'll need some assistance as well... And he knows that the Club is significantly stronger if they stick together... He holds up a One Sweet for the group but <strong>The Bucks and Page</strong> hesitate, <strong>Scurll</strong> calls them together and they break the huddle and quickly one-sweet <strong>Cody</strong>. It sure seems like they may be back on the same page, even if it is merely a relationship of convenience.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Briscoe Brothers</strong> defended their titles against <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> in the opening bout. <strong>Ali and St. Giovanni</strong> did a great job but are no match for the <strong>Briscoes</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Caprice Coleman</strong> comes down to ringside and offers <strong>Shaheem Ali</strong> his services saying he can take him to the next level. Ali thinks about it, but then says he's not leaving his "brother" and wraps his arm around <strong>Leon St. Giovanni</strong>. <strong>Coleman</strong> says he's making a mistake, but walks out.</p><p> </p><p> In another tag bout <strong>Flip Gordon and Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Hangman Page and the TV Champion, Marty Scurll</strong>. Page took the fall after Ospreay hit the OsCutter.</p><p> </p><p> We got a promo video highlighting the Honor Series between <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> and <strong>Low-Ki</strong>. Highlights from the first bout were shown and the note that <strong>Low-Ki</strong> selected a Submissions bout for next week was shown at the end of the promo.</p><p> </p><p> In a bout for the #1 Contendership, <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> defeated "War Beard" <strong>Hanson</strong>. Neither man's partner were at ringside with <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> respecting the fact that <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> was out with a Tricep injury. <strong>Shelley</strong>, the underdog size-wise, defeated <strong>Hanson</strong> with the Sliced Bread #2 and post-match both men showed each-other the respect we'd expect from them. <strong>Sabin</strong> came down to the ring and he and <strong>Shelley</strong> celebrated together!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>ROH TV, June Week 2</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <img alt="9D6RlTt.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/9D6RlTt.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This weeks show opened with <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> submitting <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> in the middle of the ring. Taylor's size was no match for Lawlor's technical skills. Post-match <strong>Lawlor</strong> celebrated the win and told the back to never question his skills.</p><p> </p><p> In our second bout <strong>Matt Taven</strong> and his associate, <strong>Odinson</strong> defeated <strong>The Boys</strong> in tag action. <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> did not come to the ring with <strong>The Boys</strong> and they looked lost without him.</p><p> </p><p> We got a promo from the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> telling the <strong>Briscoes</strong> that at <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Best In The World</span> they'd prove to them why they are widely known as "The Best In The World"...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeated <strong>Grizzly Redwood</strong> in a squash match. <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>, on commentary, highlighted that guys like <strong>Grizzly Redwood</strong> used to be <em>"names"</em> here in Ring of Honor and that <strong>Damien</strong> was completing the <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Exorcism of Ring of Honor</span> one mortal at a time.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> was interviewed backstage, in the interview he mentioned that he had <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>'s number and that at Best In The World he's going to defeat him... 1-2-3, square in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kenny King</strong> got back on the winning track defeating <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in our next bout. Post-match as King celebrate <strong>Caprice Coleman</strong> came down to the ring and offered him his services. King stares at him and says "Been there, done that" and walks out. <strong>Coleman</strong> has been turned down again.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> tied the Honor Series up, submitting <strong>Low-Ki</strong> in the middle of the ring with a Figure Four Leg Lock. This was another hard-hitting bout and Lethal fought through adversity to secure the victory. He grabbed a microphone and announced the third match in the series would be a challenge for <strong>Low-Ki</strong> because it would require him having friends in the back. The third bout will be a Tag Match, and this clearly favors <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> </p></div><p></p></div></blockquote><p></p>
  2. <p>ROH TV May Week 3 and 4</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>ROH TV, May Week 3</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="YcHc2x3.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YcHc2x3.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> With <span style="color:#FF0000;">War of the Worlds</span> in the rearview mirror <span style="color:#FF0000;">Ring of Honor</span> is back on television with an explosive show. We are also six weeks away from Best In The World, our mid-point Pay-Per-View. The show opened with <strong>Low-Ki</strong>, fresh off signing a contract, coming down to the ring and challenging <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> to an <span style="text-decoration:underline;">"Honor Series"</span> a best-of-5 series to determine who truly is one of the best wrestlers in the world! Each match would have a specific stipulation, starting with a traditional singles bout, starting next week.</p><p> </p><p> With an explosive start we went to our first bout, <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> absolutely annihilated enhancement talent, <strong>Julian Starr</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> headed out to the ring, flanked by his lawyer, Lawlor immediately brought up that for the last month Ring of Honor has been focused on international expansion and the attention of the world. But in reality they should have been focused on the issues at hand. Like how <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> is still employed. But Lawlor is willing to let bygones be bygones. He mentions that he never "Formally" signed the contract... rather just scribbled some letters. While it is a "valid" signature, he will never feel like a true member of Ring of Honor until he gets the respect he deserves. ... This prompts <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> to make an appearance and discuss how being a member of Ring of Honor means more to him than anything in the world. He challenges Lawlor to a bout next week.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> defeated <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> in a relatively quick bout, post-match <strong>Shelley</strong> called out <strong>Cody</strong> but got someone he wasn't expecting instead.... <em>"Warbeard"</em> <strong>Hanson</strong>. <strong>Hanson</strong> came out and said that <strong>Shelley</strong> may feel like he's earned a chance but for the last five years Hanson has also given his sweat and blood to this company... and last week his partner, <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> (Rowe tore his tricep at War of the Worlds and is now out for a bit) gave his arm to this company, almost literally... <strong>Hanson</strong> said that while Rowe is out, he'll carry on the War Machine name, but he'll also conquer the singles division.... </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matt Taven</strong> defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in a back and forth bout that saw <strong>Odinson</strong> interfere and help Taven get the victory. Post-match <strong>Taven and Odinson</strong> appeared to cement an alliance of sorts with a handshake on the ramp.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> defeated <strong>The Best Friends</strong>, the bout was easily the match of the night and both teams gave it their all. In the end it was the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> who seemed primed for a shot at the <strong>Briscoes</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, May Week 4</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="eyGwXAh.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eyGwXAh.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Prior to this weeks show, the in-crowd audience and ROHWrestling.com followers were treated to a <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> skit. The team said they knew they were the best in the world and knew no one could challenge them... Most of all they know they won't be fighting in front of THESE fans...</p><p> </p><p> The televised portion of the show kicked off with <strong>Cody</strong> coming down to the ring. He calls out both <strong>Hanson and Alex Shelley</strong> and said he admires their gall to challenge him. He said that they were both right, they deserved a shot at Best In The World next month... but... only one of them will get that shot. Soooo, next week it'll be <strong>Alex Shelley vs. Hanson</strong>; winner is the #1 Contender.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> wound up choking out <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> in our opener. Post-match, referee <strong>Brian Gorie</strong> raised Lawlor's hand, much to his pleasure. But his opportunity to gloat was interrupted by <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> who came out and said he was tired of sitting around doing nothing. He told <strong>Lawlor</strong> to shut up and take what has been given to him on a silver spoon, because guys like him (Taylor) don't get those opportunities... and if <strong>Lawlor</strong> doesn't want it, then you better bet that <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> is going to take it...</p><p> </p><p> In our next bout <strong>Odinson</strong>, accompanied to the ring by <strong>Matt Taven</strong>, shocked the Ring of Honor faithful and defeated <strong>Dalton Castle</strong>. Post-Match, <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> had another Jericho-esque 1990s fit and once again threw <strong>The Boys</strong> out of the ring as <strong>Taven and Odinson</strong> mocked him in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay</strong>, out to prove he is a force to be reckoned with, defeated <strong>Kenny King</strong> in our semi-main event. <strong>Ospreay</strong> post-match called out <strong>Scurll</strong> and got The Villain on the screen instead of in-person. <strong>The Villain</strong>, complete in Plague Doctor-esque gear, said that the time will come... but that time is not now...</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeated <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> in the first match of the "Honor Series" Best of Five challenge. This was a great back and forth bout with a ton of huge strikes, kicks, and even some aerial action but in the end Low-Ki hit the throwback Ki Krusher 99 for the victory and the lead in the series. With the victory <strong>Low-Ki</strong> got to name the stipulation for their next match-up and announced it would be a "Submissions" bout as we went off the air.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

Shelley mentioned that he made his debut for Ring of Honor way back in 2003, and while he's travelled the world and proven that he is a tag team expert, he's never been given the opportunity to prove himself as anything other than that. He highlighted that he has been a part of numerous factions and teams within ROH and fought for belts that don't even exist anymore (The Pure Title). He's put life and limb on the line in Ladder Matches and risked his career for this company, but never once has he been given the opportunity to even wrestle for the World Title. With that said, he's asking for his shot. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tune in this week on ROH TV to see where we go next!!!</strong></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

Above the ring the Ring of Honor Tag Titles were already hung. Ladder Warfare was underway. The bout started as a standard tornado six man tag and immediately got violently with every exchanging punches. Ultimately we saw <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> bring in the first weapon, a steel chair, and set it up in the corner of the ring. As it was set <strong>Hanson</strong> whipped <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> toward the chair, but Jay wisely shoved his brother out of the way and went after <strong>Hanson</strong>. Ultimately the Briscoes managed to use the chair to their advantage and take Hanson down with a drop toe-hold into the chair. Ultimately, the first table was brought into play when <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> sent <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> flying over the top-rope and through one of the pre-set tables. This certainly neutralized Sabin for a bit. The first major spot came when <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> brought a ladder into the ring and beginning spinning like a madman, clearing the ring out and giving himself and opportunity to climb the ladder. As he made his way up <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> met him near the top and the two began exchanging blows. This led <strong>Hanson and Rowe</strong> to climb both sides as well... Our first true high spot came when <strong>Hanson</strong> threw <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> from the top of the ladder out of the ring, nearly 20' below and through a waiting table. As he did that the ladder lost it's balance and all three remaining men went toppling to the ground. <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>, wasting no time, set-up his own ladder and immediately climbing, as he reached the top, the now revived <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> climbed the turnbuckles and drop-kicked the ladder, sending Mark to a similar demise as his brother, through a table, on the floor, roughly 20' away. The carnage was all over, two ladders were down in the ring, three tables broken at ringside, with two men still draped through them. Now, <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> regained his footing first and grabbed some of the length of chain and began wrapping it around <strong>Rowe</strong>, securing him to the turnbuckle. <strong>Shelley</strong> reset the ladder and he began climbing it, reaching the top just as <strong>Hanson</strong> came to. <strong>Hanson</strong> pushed the ladder just as <strong>Shelley</strong> reached for the belts, causing him to land squarely over the ropes... But before <strong>Hanson</strong> could do anything both <strong>Briscoe brothers</strong> miraculously were on their feet. Wielding two chain wrapped chairs, <strong>Mark and Jay</strong> struck <strong>Hanson</strong>, flooring him and <strong>Jay</strong> stood guard, warding off <strong>Sabin</strong> as <strong>Mark</strong> climbed the ladder and retrieved their belts. Our show opened with <strong>The Briscoes</strong> defending the gold, and medics tending to all three teams. In particular the medics tended to Rowe, who appeared to have a serious arm injury as a result of being strapped to the ropes with the chain...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The Briscoe Brothers defeated War Machine and Motor City Machine Guns in Ladder Warfare to defend their Ring of Honor Tag Championships</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As the ring was cleared and set-up for our next bout we got a brief video highlighting the Scurll and King feud.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor Television Championship</span></span></strong><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Kenny King {C} vs. "The Villain" Marty Scurll</strong></p><p> <img alt="BLyFA4f.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BLyFA4f.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="NXdcx8x.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NXdcx8x.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Coming off a stellar opening bout this one was a bit of a disappointment. <strong>Kenny King</strong> has held the TV Title for four months now, losing only once in that span, last week in 6-man tag action to the man he is facing tonight, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong>. Scurll meanwhile took a brief sabbatical to find himself and unleash the true villain. This bout saw a bit of everything, including near-falls and heelish tactics from both men, but the finish was pure as <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> caught <strong>Kenny King</strong> coming off the ropes and locked in the Crossface Chicken Wing forcing King to tap-out and crowning Scurll as the new Ring of Honor Television Champion. King was never on his top-game tonight and that certainly cost him tonight.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner, and New Ring of Honor Television Champion: Marty Scurll</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></span></strong></p><p><strong> SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii)</strong></p><p> <img alt="IiF2KXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IiF2KXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Cbw2583.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cbw2583.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tpqum4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tpqum4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="KBGDwh2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KBGDwh2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ChBhb0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ChBhb0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hG4O1TV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hG4O1TV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The underlying story in this one was certainly that <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> felt abandoned by <strong>CHAOS</strong> when he was let-go by NJPW in late January. This prompted him to "Find himself again" connecting with wrestling veterans and SoCal natives <strong>The Addiction</strong> to form <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> in early March. Since capturing the 6-man titles these guys have been on a run, but tonight they would need to bring their umbrellas to avoid the "Rain...maker"... Ok that was a bad line... but the moral of the story stands true. The key to this bout was the ability of <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> to isolate and altogether avoid <strong>Okada</strong>. Ultimately a lapse in judgement by <strong>Toru Yano</strong> allowed them to do just that. Yano, as he is prone to do, undid the turnbuckle pad, setting <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong> up for a brutal irish whip into the corner, but little did Yano know Romero had tagged in and Romero struck from behind with a Running Foreign Devil (Double Knee Strike) into the back of Yano, forcing him chest-first into the exposed turnbuckle and allowing Romero to quickly roll him up and grab the win and title defense for his team.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated CHAOS to retain the Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>The Addiction</strong> and <strong>Romero</strong> held a mock "party" in the ring where <strong>Daniels and Kazarian</strong> tossed handfuls of coins into the air and Rocky screamed "I'm making it hail in here"... <strong>Okada, Yano and Ishii</strong> disgustingly stared the trio down as they left the ringside area.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Odinson vs. "The Time Bomb" Hiromu Takahashi</strong></p><p> <img alt="5wIQJMM.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5wIQJMM.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="QeiFM4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/QeiFM4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Our next bout saw two of the best Top Prospects in wrestling do battle. <strong>Odinson</strong> towers over <strong>Takahashi</strong> and the size difference was the big story for the first half of the battle. Ultimately though the Time Bomb made a solid comeback and began taking <strong>Odinson</strong> down to size and keeping the big-man grounded. Unfortunately for <strong>Takahashi</strong>, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> decided to make an appearance, wandering down to ringside, joining the announce table and immediately threatening Takahashi's beloved stuffed animal, <em>Daryl</em>. <strong>Hiromu</strong> took his eyes off <strong>Odinson</strong> and came after <strong>Taven</strong>, who ran around the ring like a madman with <strong>Takahashi</strong> chasing him until <strong>Odinson</strong> came out of nowhere and hit a huge Pounce on <strong>Takahashi</strong> sending him through the barrier at ringside. <strong>Odinson</strong> dragged <strong>Takahashi</strong> back into the ring, hit The End and made the cover for the victory as <strong>Matt Taven</strong> joyously applauded on the ramp.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Odinson defeated Hiromu Takahashi</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet</strong></p><p> <img alt="JNvytgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JNvytgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="tQ0mLbb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tQ0mLbb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="eXHsYwR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eXHsYwR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Up next we had the triple threat that some that featured <strong>Ricochet</strong>'s Ring of Honor debut and two Ring of Honor veterans renewing a rivalry long-since snuffed. This bout was electric from the start and speed was off the charts. <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> both put on phenomenal technical displays while <strong>Ricochet</strong> showed off some of the aerial skills that have made world renowned. Ultimately <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> got into a classic chop fest that left both mens chest cut-up and allowed <strong>Ricochet</strong> to take advantage, dropkicking both men out of the ring. <strong>Ricochet</strong> then went flying and hit a terrifying Tope Con Hilo on <strong>Lethal</strong>, but missed <strong>Low-Ki</strong> who had fallen further away from the scene. This allowed <strong>Low-Ki</strong> to recover and take the fight to <strong>Ricochet</strong>, forcing both men back into the ring. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> backed Ricochet into the corner but <strong>Ricochet</strong> countered and sent <strong>Low-Ki</strong> face first into the turnbuckle. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> fell into the middle of the ring and<strong> Ricochet</strong> went up top for a devastating maneuver, only to have <strong>Lethal</strong> sweep his feet out from under him and trap him in a tree of woe position. <strong>Lethal</strong> then went to climb the ropes but, showing his boyish athleticism, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> recovered, used the prone <strong>Ricochet</strong>'s body as a springboard and leapt off him, clocking <strong>Lethal</strong> square across the chest and sending him back to the floor. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> then bounced up the ropes and hit a huge Ghetto Stomp across the chest of <strong>Ricochet</strong> and made the cover for the win.</p><p> </p><p> As the match ended and medics tended to <strong>Ricochet</strong> and his knee, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> got back in the ring and got into the face of <strong>Low-Ki</strong>. This one was just about pride and in this battle both teams put it all on the line. Early on it looked like it was going to be the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> night, but <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> battled back and took control. Ultimately <strong>Nick</strong> reversed a Tiger Suplex attempt by <strong>SANADA</strong> and swung the momentum back into the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> favor, this time for good. To be honest this match wound up disappointing as all four men tried to do a little too much to make themselves known. Both men wore <em>Bullet Club</em> shirts to the ring, but <strong>Cody</strong> tore his off revealing an <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>"American Nightmare"</strong></span> shirt underneath as <strong>Omega</strong> made his way to the ring. The bout itself was a classic Ring of Honor bout which told a story of two men, hungry for glory and power. The match had a slow build-up which both men masterfully handled. <strong>Brandi</strong> attempted to get involved in the match but was frequently rebuffed, both by Omega and the official. Ultimately she settled into the third seat and provided commentary, allowing her to stay ringside. <strong>The Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Marty Scurll</strong> all also made their way down to ringside, not to interfere by rather watch the power-struggle that was taking place in the ring. For Scurll it was aligning with the Bullet Club and taking his villainous persona to a new level. For King, he starred on The Bachelor as one of the suitors for one of The Bachelorette's, beyond that he captured the Television Title before losing it toward the end of 2017... As 2018 kicked off though King recaptured the Television Title and it's been lights out since then. In fact King suffered his first loss of 2018 when Marty Scurll tapped him out during the second night of the War of the Worlds tour. For Scurll 2018 got off to a rocky start with five losses in his first seven bouts of the year for Ring of Honor. Following a loss to rival Will Ospreay at Anniversary, Scurll packed his bags and headed for WXW in Germany to get back to his roots. Scurll returned a month later angry than ever and with an eye on the gold. He immediately challenged Kenny King last month and this will be his opportunity to cash in on the gold and get 2018 back on track.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor 6-Man Tag Titles</span></span></strong></p><p><strong> SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C} vs. CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii)</strong></p><p> <img alt="IiF2KXD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IiF2KXD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Cbw2583.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Cbw2583.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="tpqum4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tpqum4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="KBGDwh2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KBGDwh2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ChBhb0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ChBhb0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hG4O1TV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hG4O1TV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Like a ship without a rudder, Rocky Romero entered 2018 without a direction. After debuting Roppongi 3K in NJPW in early October, Romero finished his commitment to NJPW in early February and returned to ROH full-time shortly there after. Meanwhile in November 2017, Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels brought fellow SoCal native Scorpio Sky into the fold as SoCal Uncensored. After failing to win the 6-Man Tag Titles in multiple opportunities, The Addiction booted Scorpio Sky from the group and introduced another SoCal wrestling native, Rocky Romero as there new partner, the new, and improved SoCal Uncensored 2.0. At Anniversary in March of 2018 The SoCal 2.0 crew captured the 6-man tag titles. A new set of challengers arrived with the NJPW crew when Rocky Romero's former stablemates CHAOS showed up. The ring itself surrounded with ladders, tables, chairs and 50 feet of chains. Once that picture is in your head, then envision our combatants. Jay and Mark Briscoe, 9X Ring of Honor tag champions, and our current and reigning champs. On an anger-filled, rage-fueled binge that has seen them retire Bully Ray at Final Battle, capture the titles from Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley in a Fight Without Honor, and now reign supreme over Ring of Honor. But what happens when you put a team at a combined weight of 550 pounds, and tell them there are no rules and no limits... well that's War Machine. Raymond Rowe and Hanson are a brutish team with extreme strength and the ability do a lot more than your standard heavyweights. Oh, and then you have your third team, The Motor City Machine Guns. Much like The Briscoes, Shelley and Sabin have been a team for the last decade and together have achieved a ton, but losing the titles to The Briscoes seems to have flipped a new switch in the Guns. They haven't lost since losing the titles at Manhattan Mayhem and they are clearly the most athletic team in this bout. One thing is for certain... these six men will pull out all the stops... and ladder warfare will certainly leave carnage.</p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong><span style="color:#FFFF00;">Ring of Honor World Title</span></strong></span></p><p> <strong>Cody {C} vs. Kenny Omega</strong></p><p> <img alt="rhWLJLc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rhWLJLc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="iZIiHhG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iZIiHhG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Since leaving the WWE two years ago, Cody has toured the world and taken on an even more arrogant persona than the one he was known for in the WWE. With his wife, Women of Honor champion, Brandi Rhodes by his side Cody has begun antagonizing his ROH Bullet Club partners for their inability to capture gold. In fact as he pointed out, only the Rhodes have gold currently. This prompted The Young Bucks to promise that the true leader of the Bullet Club would be here for War of the Worlds and sure enough Kenny Omega arrived and immediately challenged Cody for his title. Cody meanwhile may have his eye on Omega, but in the process he took a loss to IWGP Champion Tetsuya Naito during the final night of the televised tour. Certainly with Omega on his radar Cody has bigger things to worry about, but if he does get through Omega tonight, he better know that Naito certainly will loom at some point this year. Another storyline to follow with this bout is the fracture that is looming with the Bullet Club. Win or lose will Cody remain part of the club? With promos proclaiming "The End" and a recent "connection" with Matt Taven, Odinson's 2018 promises to continue to be explosive. Hiromu Takahashi meanwhile has had put on very solid matches but hasn't quite bridged the gap to being the star that some have pegged him to be. Thankfully for Takahashi he doesn't seem phased, especially since he has his best friend, Daryl, to keep him company. This bout between two deranged and unhinged individuals will be a fun bout featuring two of the games brightest young "prospects".</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tetsuya Naito vs. Dalton Castle</strong></p><p> <img alt="EpaJlLo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EpaJlLo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="DJeshS8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DJeshS8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Since losing the ROH World Title in February, Dalton Castle has been on a rapid tailspin. He's failed to capture the Television title, despite multiple opportunities. Having not won in two months now, Castle is beginning to get more and more unhinged and now has laid out a challenge to the current IWGP World Champion, Tetsuya Naito. Naito came to the War of the World's tour with a clear mission. Beat the best that Ring of Honor has to offer and prove why he is one of the best in the world. Despite that he was defeated by Nick Jackson two weeks ago, before getting back on track and defeating the Ring of Honor champion Cody on the final night of the televised tour. Naito has earned an opportunity to challenge for the ROH World title but now he must focus on the previous ROH World champion, Dalton Castle. Win or lose, Castle must stayed focused just to have a chance in this one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><em>Junior Heavyweight Showcase</em></strong></p><p> <strong>Will Ospreay vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Flip Gordon vs. Juice Robinson</strong></p><p> <img alt="OkoebUA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OkoebUA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="iwf4ME6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/iwf4ME6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="VskZOFh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/VskZOFh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="8a6q1C8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8a6q1C8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> CJ Parker was a failed NXT hippie... three years later he's found himself as NJPW's Juice Robinson. At only 23, Flip Gordon is one of then breakout stars that is working towards a huge future in the sport. Kota Ibushi has been one of the hottest freelancers in the world for the last half-decade and is continuing to prove himself as an elite athlete... but all three of them may not be on the same level as the Aerial Assassin, 24-year old, Will Ospreay. Ospreay is arguably the world's most athletic wrestler and will continue to be one of the shooting stars in this business. This match will allow all four men to showcase themselves, with the winner certainly gaining a great deal of respect and honor.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet</strong></p><p> <img alt="JNvytgY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/JNvytgY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="tQ0mLbb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tQ0mLbb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="eXHsYwR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eXHsYwR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> When Ricochet was injured merely a week before making his Ring of Honor debut there was a great deal of disappointment among the ROH faithful. Ricochet promised to make a return to ROH a later date but after the original Ring of Honor champion, Low-Ki, made a shock return during the second night of the tour, Ricochet was motivated to make a surprise return to the ring. This was further exacerbated when Low-Ki began choking Jay Lethal out during their match. Ricochet ran down to make the save but ultimately was struck by Lethal, who was offended that Ricochet felt the need to "save" the greatest first-generation pro wrestler. Lethal and Low-Ki have always had a long-term hard-hitting feud and now Ricochet has stepped right into the middle of it. This one is guaranteed to be a brutal, hard-hitting, and high-flying bout, between three of the best wrestlers in the world.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Young Bucks vs. EVIL/SANADA</strong></p><p> <img alt="NEHdvLg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NEHdvLg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8378v4n.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8378v4n.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="HgRgJK9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HgRgJK9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xPZldyT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xPZldyT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Matt and Nick Jackson, known colloquially as The Young Bucks challenged the IWGP Tag champs, EVIL and SANADA to a bout to prove that they are still the best damn tag team in the world. Matt and Nick have both had a bit of singles luck in Japan, but since losing the 6-man tag titles in Ring of Honor they've had some struggles in tag action. Facing EVIL and SANADA, arguably the hottest tag team in Japan will be a battle of two of the best current teams on the market. EVIL and SANADA came to Ring of Honor with something to prove, and thus far have done exactly that winning all three matches they've had on the tour, including beating Omega and the Young Bucks in a 6-man tag match.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling Present: War of the Worlds</span></span></span></strong></p><p> <em>Quick Picks (Session Two, Round Four of Five)</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>ROH World Title: Cody {C} vs. Kenny Omega<br /></li><li>ROH Tag Titles, Ladder Warfare: Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. War Machine<br /></li><li>ROH 6-Man Tag Titles: CHAOS (Ishii, Okada, Yano) vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0 {C}<br /></li><li>ROH TV Title: Kenny King {C} vs. Marty Scurll<br /></li><li>Tag Bout: EVIL and SANADA vs. The Young Bucks<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Hiromu Takahashi vs. Odinson<br /></li><li>Junior Heavyweight Showcase: Flip Gordon vs. Juice Robinson vs. Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay<br /></li><li>Triple Threat: Jay Lethal vs. Low-Ki vs. Ricochet<br /></li><li>Dalton Castle vs. Tetsuya Naito<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong>Comments:</strong> </p><p> </p><p> Wanted to put together a preview that summed up the matches for this Pay-Per-View. Being that it is the end of the tour for NJPW I thought it would be good to put this on paper and help the readers (as well as myself) better flesh out the matches and the next steps once we return to just being Ring of Honor stars. I hope you enjoy the preview, and consider this the last call for predictions for this PPV... For the couple of you who have predicted already, obviously your predictions will count, but feel free to edit them if this preview leads you to feel the need.</p>

The show opened with <strong>Kenny King</strong> defending the television title against <strong>Juice Robinson</strong>. As the match ended <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> came to down to ringside and told King that he was going to make him tap tomorrow night and take the belt.</p><p> </p><p> In the second match of the evening, <strong>Kota Ibushi</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>. Gordon put up a valiant effort and during the match the announcers confirmed that tomorrow night we would have a lightweight/Junior showcase fatal four way with <strong>Kota Ibushi</strong> doing battle with <strong>Juice Robinson, Flip Gordon and Will Ospreay</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In a 6-man tag battle, <em>Los Ingobernables de Japan</em>, represented by <strong>Hiromu Takahashi, EVIL and SANADA</strong> defeated <strong>Will Ospreay and The Best Friends</strong>. Hiromu hit the Time Bomb on Chuckie T for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>Hiromu</strong> lingered a bit too long at ringside after his partners had left and was met by <strong>Odinson</strong>. <strong>Odinson</strong> took a swing and clean-clocked the sunglasses straight off <strong>Hiromu</strong>'s face. <strong>Odinson</strong> hit the F-10 at ringside and left Hiromu beaten on the floor. The announcers confirmed that <strong>Odinson</strong> will face <strong>Hiromu Takahashi</strong>, one-on-one tomorrow night at the pay-per-view.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rocky Romero and Frankie Kazarian</strong>, representing SoCal Uncensored 2.0, defeated <strong>Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano</strong> in a solid tag bout. Kazarian managed to hit the Future Shock on Ishii and secured a victory against the former TV champ.</p><p> </p><p> Up next, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> made his return to a Ring of Honor ring facing <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>. This was a vintage Ring of Honor hard striking bout. Lethal and Low-Ki exchanged brutal chops, kicks and strikes until both men were exhausted on the mat. <strong>Low-Ki</strong>, wrestling in his recent full-suit, Hitman-inspired look, regained his footing first. He stripped his tie off and wrapped it around Lethal's neck. Referee <strong>Brian Gorie</strong> implored <strong>Ki</strong> to stop but he merely tightened the noose around <strong>Lethal's</strong> neck and <strong>Gorie</strong> had no option but to call for the bell and give <strong>Lethal</strong> the very painful victory via DQ. The fans didn't react particularly well to the finish but that changed rapidly as <strong>Ricochet</strong> came down the aisle at full speed and tackled <strong>Low-Ki</strong> off <strong>Lethal</strong>. As the two men brawled <strong>Lethal</strong> regained consciousness and shoved ... <strong>RICOCHET</strong>... off of <strong>Low-Ki</strong>. Lethal appeared confused and conflicted realizing he struck <strong>Ricochet</strong> rather than <strong>Low-Ki</strong> slunk off back up the aisle. <strong>Ricochet</strong> grabbed a microphone and made the announcement... "Boys, I have the pleasure to announce that I've been cleared to fight tomorrow night... and tomorrow night I want <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BOTH OF YOU</span></strong>, in the ring. TRIPLE THREAT."</p><p> </p><p> Up next, <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> defeated <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> with the One Winged Angel. Omega made relatively short work of Castle and Castle once again had a small fit in the ring, clearly frustrated at his lack of success in 2018.</p><p> </p><p> We got a preview video highlighting the feud for the Tag Titles and tomorrow's Ladder Warfare matchup between <strong>War Machine, The Motor City Machine Guns</strong>, and the tag champion, <strong>Briscoe Brothers</strong>. It'll be a brutal war.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kazuchika Okada</strong> defeated <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong> and evened the score in the brief CHAOS vs SoCal Uncensored 2.0 battle. Post-match it was announced that <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> would have to defend the 6-man tag belts against <strong>CHAOS</strong> tomorrow night.</p><p> </p><p> As the <strong>Okada</strong> and <strong>Daniels</strong> match ended and <strong>Ian Riccaboni</strong> finished announcing the 6-man tag bout we got a promo from the <strong>Young Bucks</strong>. Nick mentioned defeating Naito last week and how they've had a great deal of success all-time in Japan. With that said they challenged <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> tomorrow night, after all a victory would be TOO SWEET.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> avenged last weeks loss to <strong>Nick Jackson</strong> by defeating <strong>Cody</strong> in a non-title bout. <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> joined Riccaboni and Kirsch on the announce table during the bout and after Cody fell victim to Destino proceeded to grab <strong>Cody</strong>'s belt and enter the ring, standing face to face with Cody and holding the ROH World title high above their heads. Tomorrow night is bound to be an epic clash between the two leaders of Bullet Club... Over the last month and half Cody has clearly made a point that he is the only real "winner" in the club and he seems to think winning against Omega will prove to the rest of the group that he is the true master.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest, After Three of Five Events</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> The Final Countdown: 3/6 + 7/8 (Current: 10/14)</p><p> Powerbrock100: 3/6 + 4/8 (Current: 7/14)</p><p> Kijar: 3/6 + 6/8 + 5/8 (Current: 14/22)</p><p> BHK1978:2/6 + 5/8 + 4/8 (Current: 11/22)</p><p> Warhawk8492: 2/6</p><p> DGenerationMC: 2/6 + 7/8 + 3/8 (Current: 12/22)</p><p> KnowYourEnemy: 2/6 + 6/8 + 6/8 (Current: 14/22)</p><p> Wolfman84: 6/8 + 7/8 (Current: 13/16)</p><p> Blodyxe: 5/8</p><p> Destiny 5/8</p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Comments</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Low-Ki's return is something I am really excited about. Low-Ki is a bit unhinged and choking Lethal out to the point of DQ is something I thought would fit the character really well... Unfortunately the fans disagreed.</p><p> </p><p> Ricochet's return has been planned for bit, when the injury occurred he was out for 6 weeks. He had a surgical option and I took a chance and performed it... As luck had it he was cleared to return to the ring for War of the Worlds pay-per-view... logical a three-way with Lethal and Low-Ki would be a great way to bridge the gap between the past, present and potentially future. Fun bout upcoming.</p><p> </p><p> After Naito's loss last week I wanted to keep him strong and set him up for a storyline later this year. I have at least two more events involving NJPW talent this year so Naito's win will set-up a future title shot... I like that long-term detail.</p><p> </p><p> Cody vs. Omega is definitely a Bullet Club in-fighting angle and also just the cockiness of Cody thinking he's better than the Club... We shall see...</p><p> </p><p> EVIL and SANADA are a fun team, them facing the Young Bucks is a great tag battle and it'll be a fun battle.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>BHK1978</strong>: I can see what your saying about Omega. 11. ROH War of the Worlds, Night Two. May Week 1, 2018 ROH TV May Week 1, 2018 Night Two of the NJPW/ROH War of the Worlds Tour --------------------------- Prediction Contest Session Two (After Two of Five Events) The Final Countdown: 3/6 + 7/8 (Current: 10/14) Powerbrock100: 3/6 + 4/8 (Current: 7/14) Kijar: 3/6 + 6/8 (Current: 9/14) BHK1978:2/6 + 5/8 (Current: 7/14) Warhawk8492: 2/6 DGenerationMC: 2/6 + 7/8 (Current: 9/14) KnowYourEnemy: 2/6 + 6/8 (Current: 8/14) Wolfman84: 6/8 Blodyxe: 5/8 -------------------------- Comments: No one saw Naito losing to Nick Jackson, rightfully so... The fact that Naito and Matt Jackson were in a story with NJPW made me feel like there was some plausibility to Nick getting the win here on American soil. I also like the thought that Naito has bigger things on his mind, knowing that he'll be facing Cody next week in a non-title bout that could set him up for an ROH title shot at a future tour. Plus, Naito is on loan so he can take a loss here and there ;-). I wanted to try-out a couple short intro embeds in the first segment because it was the most significant segment of the night. I don't anticipate making that a frequent feature, but I do think it adds a bit of flavor here and there and in the right spots. Curious what you guys think? Does it add anything? Waste of space? When Ricochet went down one of my first thoughts was finding a replacement, so I did a comb through the ROH roster, turned out the newest tour they are on they signed Low-Ki. Low-Ki being an ROH Original and the first ever ROH Champion, plus one of my favorite guys from that time period, just fit so well. He and Lethal both had matches with ROH in 2002, hard to believe. Takahashi and Odinson both could probably use a program with veterans, but for now, they'll program with each other. With the NJPW guys here only for the brief tour I figured it made sense to get them both in action... As a Hiromu fan as well, I'm sure he'll be back ;-). Blodyxe: I've been on a bit of a roll so I've been popping out shows maybe a bit quicker than I could, but I think it's engaging that way... I'm just thrilled your still reading and making predictions. ---------------------------------

We then jumped into a pre-show hype video for the upcoming tour that promoted tonights card as well as the next two weeks live television events leading into the War of the Worlds Pay-Per-View.</p><p> </p><p> As the show kicked off our announce crew told us that the War of the Worlds tour would be three, special <strong>90 minute episodes</strong>, compared to our typical 60-minute television spectacle, so kick your eyes on the TV for all 90!</p><p> </p><p> The show kicked off with <strong>Kota Ibushi</strong> defeating <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>. Ibushi was making his long-awaited return to Ring of Honor, he previously appeared exactly ten years ago in 2008! Recently Lethal has stumbled a bit but he's still one of the best workers in Ring of Honor. In this bout Lethal and Ibushi kicked the tour off with one of the top 10s bouts we've seen this year. In the end it was <strong>Kota Ibushi</strong> securing a slightly surprising victory over <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> with the Phoenix-Plex. Post-match both men embraced and the fans covered both in streamers.</p><p> </p><p> As the ring-crew cleared the ring, <strong>Ricochet</strong> made his entrance to mass applause. He was wearing an NJPW t-shirt and basketball shorts, with a bulky knee brace on his right knee. He gingerly walked to the ring and thanked the fans for the support he'd received in the last week since suffering the injury. He said that this tour was something he'd be looking forward to for years and potentially missing this tour was something he was crushed by. He said that doctors have said the injury isn't that severe but that they recommend he take 4-6 weeks off to allow the MCL to heal properly. He said that in 2018 the sky is the limit for Ricochet, and that he promises he'll make an impact in a <em>Ring of Honor</em> ring one day soon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Flip Gordon and Juice Robinson</strong> defeated <strong>Hiromu Takahashi and Odinson</strong>; <strong>Flip and Juice</strong> had instant chemistry, whereas <strong>Odinson and Takahashi</strong> clearly didn't. Takahashi, who previously appeared in Ring of Honor as <em>Kamataichi</em> during his excursion was warmly welcomed back, some fans even had <strong>Daryl</strong> dolls. Unfortunately for him his partner <strong>Odinson</strong> walked out on him mid-match allowing Juice Robinson to lock in a submission and get the win. <strong>Odinson</strong> may have unwillingly picked a fight with a ticking time bomb.</p><p> </p><p> We got a promo with <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> promising that the "Exorcism of Ring of Honor will continue, and will continue with the fury of Damien." <strong>Damien and Priscilla</strong> stood in the background, contributing little content.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> defeated <strong>Rhett Titus</strong>, this match was a bit of a filler in the show, Gresham got the win, gaining a slight boost in his profile and bringing his name up as a guy to watch in the second-half of 2018.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>"The Villain" Marty Scurll</strong> mentions he has some friends here and that next week he hopes <strong>Kenny King</strong> has some friends because it'll be a six-man tag match!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Addiction</strong> defeated <strong>Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii</strong>, "The Stone Pitbull" Ishii, a former ROH TV Champion in 2016, made a triumphant return and was received warmly. The Stone Pitbull is a fierce veteran and this battle saw four men with nearly 90+ years of experience between them do battle in a fun bout that was a one of the best bouts of the night. Yano got some laughs, but ultimately took the fall. Ishii came out of this match looking strong and the announcers hyped that next week Ishii will be teaming with Kazuchika Okada to take on this exact team.</p><p> </p><p> We get a video hyping <em>Ladder Warfare</em>, each team briefly talks about what the ROH Tag Titles mean to the them, and the length they are willing to go to gain or retain the gold.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of gold, it was raining Okada bucks as <strong>Kazuchika Okada</strong> defeated <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> in our second to last match. Rocky and Okada had the match of the night, and both men really shined in this one. We know for a fact that Okada will be teaming with Ishii to face Rocky's mates, <strong>The Addiction</strong> next week. The announcers mention that <strong>Rocky</strong> was a member of the CHAOS stable in Japan until January when it was announced he wouldn't be returning to NJPW. Now with SoCal Uncensored 2.0 he seems to be stable and on his feet, so the coming weeks could be a nice way for him to get some "revenge" on his former allies.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <em>Los Ingobernables de Japon</em> <strong>Tetsuya Naito, EVIL and SANADA</strong> scored the victory over <em>The Elite</em>, <strong>Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks</strong>. The fans certainly loved Naito and Omega and seeing them in a Ring of Honor ring was a thrill for many. <strong>Cody</strong> interjected himself in the match late, coming to ringside, and taking some focus away from The ELITE squad. With Cody vs. Omega confirmed for the Pay-Per-View it appears the mind games are beginning early. The finish here saw one half of the IWGP Tag Champions <strong>SANADA</strong> defeat <strong>Nick Jackson</strong>. The show went off the air with <strong>Kenny Omega and Cody</strong> going nose-to-nose in the middle of the ring.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Comments:</span></strong></p><p> EVIL and SANADA are the IWGP Tag Champions and Naito is the current IWGP World Champion, that seems to have really benefitted these men in terms of popularity. Plus in reality the team is really fun to watch, great entrance. Google the WK12 entrance for EVIL and SANADA, I loved it. That team winning seems to have been a surprise for most, but I think the Cody "distraction" and subsequent in-ring staredown with Omega sets-up the PPV Main Event nicely.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>BHK1978</strong>: I should have done a better job introducing all the NJPW pieces to the audience. I intended to and just kind of forgot. As mentioned earlier in the post, Naito, EVIL and SANADA all currently hold major titles with NJPW. SANADA is the former James Storm henchman/X-Division champ Seiya Sanada from TNA in 2015/16ish and EVIL wrestled on excursion as Takaaki Watanabe. They've both really blossomed while part of the Los Ingobernables de Japon stable under Tetsuya Naito.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kijar</strong>: I love Hiromu too... Only problem... my game doesn't seem to agree as much with us. As I suspect people can tell, I have a bigger plan for Odinson long-term. Teased some stuff with Matt Taven, and of course he still has a TV title shot at some point this year. He's a beast of a human-being so him walking out of the weird/wild Hiromu seemed to be something that would happen... and subsequently set Hiromu off... Keep the faith in Daryl.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Powerbrock/DGenerationMC:</strong> The Ricochet injury sucked... Was very disappointed, especially since it happened the week of the show. As I mentioned in the post, he's out for a bit, but it's not as serious as it could have been... He will see a Ring of Honor ring this year, if WWE doesn't sign him, but this tour looks doubtful.</p><p> </p><p> I thought it was a good challenge to do a modern take on the company, and I'm thrilled thus far. It has been a fun booking challenge.</p><p> </p><p> I'm glad to hear people are enjoying this and that it is representing Ring of Honor well. One of the first diaries that got me hooked on this board was TFC's ROH take. Kijar, I was also a big fan of your PWG/ROH diary. Having both of your support is truly awesome, and I can only hope to achieve half the longevity your takes on ROH had.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest Session Two (After one event Of five)</span></strong></p><p> The Final Countdown: 3/6</p><p> Powerbrock100: 3/6</p><p> Kijar: 3/6</p><p> BHK1978:2/6</p><p> Warhawk8492: 2/6</p><p> DGenerationMC: 2/6</p><p> KnowYourEnemy: 2/6</p><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">War of the Worlds Night Two TV Taping, May 1, 2018 Confirmed Card</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><ul><li><br /> <br /></li><li>Nick Jackson vs. Tetsuya Naito<br /></li><li>Kazuchika Okada/Tomohiro Ishii vs. The Addiction<br /></li><li>Punishment Martinez vs. Toru Yano<br /></li><li>Best Friends vs. EVIL/SANADA<br /></li><li>Flip Gordon vs. Hiromu Takahashi<br /></li><li>Juice Robinson vs. Odinson<br /></li><li>Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay<br /></li><li>Kenny King/The Dawgs vs. Kenny Omega/Hangman Page/Marty Scurll<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

It wasn't much, but it gave the fans a chance to get settled.</p><p> </p><p> We headed to ringside as Riccaboni and Cruise discussed the Supercard of Honor results and we saw images from the PPV. <strong>Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley</strong> made their way down to the ring and recapped what happened when the brawl broke out at <em>Supercard of Honor</em>. They said they had a plan in mind... <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Ladder Warfare</span></strong>. Anything goes, Tables, Ladders, Chairs, Chains... The Belts Suspended high above the ring. The fans popped like mad and the announcers speculated that we just confirmed our first match for next months War of the Worlds pay-per-view!</p><p> </p><p> In our first match, <strong>The Best Friends</strong> defeated <strong>The Dawgs</strong>, post-match <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong>, who was attacked by <strong>Rhett Titus</strong> a few weeks back ran down to exact some revenge, but ultimately the 2-on-1 numbers game got the better of him as <strong>Will Ferrara</strong> joined his partner, "The Big Dawg" Rhett Titus. <strong>Chuckie T and Beretta</strong>, seeing what was going on rushed the ring to chase off <strong>The Dawgs</strong> as the segment ended.</p><p> </p><p> Back from a short sabbatical to Europe, <strong>"The Villain" Marty Scurll</strong> easily dispatched <strong>Cheeseburger</strong>. Post-match he says that his eyes are on the gold that resides around <strong>Kenny King</strong>'s waist, and he's coming for it.</p><p> </p><p> In a Woman of Honor bout, <strong>Priscilla Kelly</strong> defeated <strong>Scarlett Bordeaux</strong> as <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> watched on carefully. </p><p> </p><p> The cameras caught <strong>Matt Taven</strong> backstage chatting with <strong>Odinson</strong> before Taven noticed and rushed them out of the room. The announcers reminded us that at Supercard of Honor, <strong>Odinson</strong> attacked <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> post-match and that next week on ROH TV they'll go one-on-one.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event <strong>The Motor City Machine Guns and War Machine</strong> teamed up to defeat <strong>The Addiction and The Briscoes</strong>. <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong> tried to blast <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> with a chair, but wound up hitting his partner instead, leading to an easy victory. Immediately post-match <strong>The Briscoes</strong> said next week these same teams will go at it again, one can only wonder what <strong>The Briscoes</strong> have in mind.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV April Week 3, 2018</span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="13ZAQPs.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/13ZAQPs.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Pre-show we saw two bouts, first <strong>"Wild Horse" TK O'Ryan</strong> defeated resident jobber <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> and then we saw a little bit of twin magic, as <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> dominated <strong>Brent Tate</strong> until the end when <strong>Brandon Tate</strong> slid into the ring and got a quick roll-up victory stealing the victory for his brother.</p><p> </p><p> The show opened with a hype video for <em>War Of The Worlds</em>, in the video we confirmed the first three names for the tour courtesy of <span style="color:#FF0000;"><em>New Japan Pro Wrestling</em></span>. They are <strong>Juice Robinson, Kota Ibushi and Ricochet</strong>. All three men who are certainly familiar to American fans. The video ended again with "<strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Ω</span></strong>" being displayed prominently on the video board. The announcers hype that Ring of Honor officials have confirmed that <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> will be a part of the War of the Worlds tour!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ian Riccaboni and Bobby Cruise</strong> then announced that the next group of men NJPW would be sending would be revealed later in the show, with the final set of three posted exclusively on ROHWrestling.com immediately following the broadcast.</p><p> </p><p> The bouts opened with <strong>Odinson</strong> defeating <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>, Odinson hit his massive finisher, known as The End, but it was a valiant effort by Flip and one no one should be disappointed by. Post-Match, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> appeared and applauded <strong>Odinson</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> The next group to be announced for War Of The World's was <strong>Los Ingobernables de Japon</strong>, featuring <strong>EVIL</strong> and <strong>SANADA</strong>, the current IWGP Tag Champions. "The Ticking Time Bomb" <strong>Hiromu Takahashi</strong>, and the IWGP World Champion, <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong>... <span style="text-decoration:underline;">TRANQUILO</span> Ring of Honor fans.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> and his lawyer made their way down to the ring, with a proper entrance and everything. Lawlor mockingly thanked "Ring of Honor" for rolling out the red carpet for him tonight, and then went on a brief tangent about how if he hadn't physically knocked out <strong>Josh Woods</strong>, <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong> wouldn't have every rung the bell. He called Sinclair to the ring to demand he raise his arm in victory, but Sinclair never appeared and <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> had to come out and inform Lawlor that Sinclair was off tonight. Lawlor, said "He Will Raise My Arm" as soon as he returns and storms off.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> continued his solid return from Europe defeating <strong>Silas Young</strong> in a solid back and forth match. Young's trusty beer bottle and his ally, <strong>The Beer City Bruiser</strong>, were removed from ringside by referee Brian Gorie pre-match, and that left Young without his support system. Regardless Scurll out-classed him and took the victory. Again post-match Scurll said the TV title will be home with the Villain soon.</p><p> </p><p> In the rematch of last weeks main event, as we expected, something fishy happened and <strong>The Briscoes and The Addiction</strong> were disqualified, giving another victory to <strong>War Machine and The Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong>, set-up tables around ringside and as you can expect, mayhem eventually broke out when <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> went to tag <strong>Hanson</strong> but <strong>Hanson</strong> missed the tag as he was yelling at <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> who was ringside. This prompted<strong> Alex Shelley</strong> to strike <strong>Hanson</strong> and suddenly the brief teammates were fighting on the apron. As the mayhem started <strong>The Addiction</strong>, rather than risk getting caught in the crossfire, wisely left the ring, being <em>counted out</em> in the process. This left the three teams that will do battle at <em>War of the Worlds</em> going at it as we went off the air. The lasting image was <strong>War Machine</strong> delivering Fallout to <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> through a table at ringside while the Briscoes collected their belts and fled up the ramp.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROHWrestling.com Exclusive</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">CHAOS Comes to Ring of Honor's War Of The World's Tour</span></span></p><p> <img alt="vmI0Igy.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vmI0Igy.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="qYdO5FH.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/qYdO5FH.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="eLo4W64.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/eLo4W64.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> As Chaos broke out in the ring to end our most recent ROH TV episode, we can also confirm that <strong>CHAOS</strong>, the legendary NJPW faction, will be represented during our tour. Both men will be featured in the upcoming War of Worlds tour and this was a solid pre-show bout to get the crowd fired up. --------------------------------------------------- Match Results Pre-Show: Will Ospreay defeated Hangman Page (D+) Kenny King defeated Silas Young and Dalton Castle (D+) Coast 2 Coast defeated The Kingdom (E+) Damien "Punishment" Martinez defeated Jay Lethal (C-) Brandi Rhodes defeated Deonna Purrazzo (E) Tom Lawlor defeated Josh Woods (E+) So Cal Uncensored 2.0 defeated The Best Friends and Flip Gordon (D+) Motor City Machine Guns went to a No Contest with War Machine (C+) Cody defeated Nick Jackson © Overall Show Rating: C -------------------------------------------------- Prediction Contest (Round 1 WINNER: DGenerationMC) A valiant effort and here that came down to two guys who predicted EVERY show available. Thank you to all who have participated thus far. We are going to continue these micro-contests (covering a segment of shows, I'll decide how many once I sit down and figure out a good prize for the next segment); and since there has been solid response I am also going to keep an overall % correct total (for the end of the year). If you make a certain number (I'm leaning towards 50 total predictions you'll be eligible, highest percentage correct wins a year-end prize (which will be something story related, likely something larger like a title change or signing, but that is TBD). KnowYourEnemy 2/4 + 4/7 (+1 TPT Finals) + 4/8 (OVERALL: 11/19) DGenerationMC 2/4 + 4/7 + 4/6 + 5/8 + 5/8 + 2 Bonus (OVERALL: 22/33) BHK1978 2/4 + 3/7 + 4/6 + 4/8 + 6/8 + 1 Bonus (OVERALL: 20/33) Warhawk8492 2/7 + 4/6 + 4/8 (OVERALL 10/21) Uncrewed 2/7 (2/7 OVERALL) Wolfman84 4/7 (4/7 OVERALL) Blodyxe 4/7 + 4/6 (OVERALL 8/13) Kijar 2/6 + 4/8 + 5/8 + 1 Bonus (OVERALL: 12/22) Martel123 3/6 (+1 for TV Title Bonus, Jay White) + 3/8 (OVERALL: 7/14) --------------------------------------------------- Comments: First and foremost, congrats to DGenerationMC on winning the prediction contest for the first five rounds. I've sent you a PM with some details on your prize and am looking forward to a response so I can book out War of the Worlds. BHK1978: You had it right with the Best Friends logic; but the Bullet Club was another thought I did have. That said, with War of the Worlds coming up, I wanted to try and develop some tie to the NJPW stuff happening in game. I also have no connections to C2C or The Kingdom; clearly as I was misspelling Marseglia's name for the last few weeks (OOPS).... but I'm determined to make something work... haha... we shall see if I can. I went back and forth on this a bunch. At one point I was going to have Shaheem Ali turn on Leon St Giovanni and form a unit with Shane Taylor and Caprice Coleman... but that was way too similar to The Rebellion from last year; so instead those guys will just keep floating in enhancement no-mans land. I actually did debate writing Sinclair (as KnowYourEnemy thoughtfully predicted) out entirely in this episode as his contract was close to expired, but I thought this was a solid way to both continue further the story and get Lawlor his well-deserved victory. DGenerationMC and Kijar both nailed Flip, I love the athleticism in reality and really need to find something for him to do... assuming he survived that assault post-match ;-). I have two shows to post prior to the three show War of the Worlds build-up. I plan to do a brief preview of the War of the Worlds tour similar to the Top Prospect Tournament preview, just to give readers some idea who the NJPW pieces are and what they've been doing in-game.

Sky continued the losing ways that led to him being kicked out of SoCal Uncensored and Woods looked strong. Post-match <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> and his lawyer made their way out to the ring. Lawlor stated that his lawyer had drawn up paperwork to sue Ring of Honor for lost wages and damages due to the "losses" he'd sustained in the ring, primarily at the hands of <strong>Todd Sinclair</strong>, the "World's Most Corrupt Official". Lawlor even said that he felt like Sinclair must have been a boxing judge in a past life. He told <strong>Woods</strong> that he wanted another fight, Woods seemed to agree but this prompted new <strong>CEO Cary Silkin</strong> to come out, with Todd Sinclair. Silkin told them there will be a match alright. <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> will once again face <strong>Josh Woods</strong>. <em>If Lawlor wins, he'll get an official contract. But there were some stipulations. First and foremost, Tom Lawlor must immediately destroy the pending lawsuit and "let bygones by bygones" and Todd Sinclair must officiate the match-up. Silkin said that Sinclair, the senior official of ROH, would be fired if anything screwy happened. However, if Josh Woods wins, Lawlor must immediately pay Ring of Honor $150,000 for "damages" caused by his protests and attacks on ROH officials.</em> Lawlor and his lawyer said they'd draw up the paperwork and the match was made official.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Kenny King</strong> and his hand-selected partner, <strong>Odinson</strong> defeated <strong>Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser</strong>. <strong>Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal</strong> were the third team. But Lethal was taken out by <strong>Damien Martinez</strong> during the match. Coast 2 Coast argues with each other post-match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> comes out and says that while he lost at Anniversary and will ultimately earn another opportunity at the title... but tonight he has a BIGGER fish to fry. He calls out <strong>Punishment Martinez</strong> for the unprompted assault last week. Martinez music hits, but instead <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>, cloaked in a long red robe and <strong>Priscilla Kelly</strong>, wearing all black, come out to the stage. Whitmer says that Lethal is calling the wrong name. <em>Damien Martinez</em> only answers to him, his master, The Exorcist, <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> and the seductress, <strong>Priscilla Kelly</strong>... Martinez never appears and fog machines begin to cover the stage as Whitmer and Kelly exit, leaving Lethal confused in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Back from break, <strong>Best Friends (Chuckie T and Beretta)</strong> defeated <strong>The Kingdom.</strong> The announcers hyped Beretta's return from Japan and the struggles The Kingdom has had recently.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong>, getting back on track after losing the World Title last month, and losing an opportunity to win the TV title last week at Anniversary at the hands of <strong>Silas Young</strong>. Post-match Castle calls out Young for the assault during the match. Silas starts to come out and make his way to the ring, suddenly <strong>Kenny King</strong> appears as well. King is just as furious that Young attacked him post-match. This leads to an argument between all three men. King lays out a challenge, saying that Winners Win, so he isn't afraid of facing Castle again, this prompts Young to mention that he never got his rematch. King walks out, leaving the announcers to suggest that this feud is merely beginning.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong> defeated <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> in a battle of big men. The match ended and <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> appeared on the screen, he is clearly sitting in a conference room of a law firm, there is a man sitting next to him, presumably his lawyer. Lawlor says that once again he was screwed by Todd Sinclair. He says that Woods knows he tapped out and any MMA star like Woods claims to be would know that Lawlor is the rightful winner of the match. As the match ended, <strong>Whitmer</strong> entered the ring and <strong>Priscilla</strong> corned Martinez who seemed oddly afraid of the petite woman. Whitmer said "<em>Damien... It is time... COME HOME</em>"... <strong>Kelly</strong> reached her hand out and touched <strong>Martinez</strong> chest and he nodded and followed <strong>Whitmer</strong> out of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> We cut to a promo with <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> on the beach, tanning with their newly won 6-Man Tag Titles. Post-match they were celebrating and having fun with the crowd...They were posing with their "Superkick Party Championship Belts" when <strong>Cody</strong> appeared and told the Bucks that it's funny to see them celebrating, considering they don't have ANY actual championships. As self-appointed leader of the <em>Bullet Club</em>, <strong>Cody</strong> said he was here to teach the Bucks a lesson. At <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Supercard of Honor</span>, one of the <strong>Jackson brothers</strong> would get the ultimate opportunity, a chance to face Cody for his World Title. <strong>Cody</strong> told them to debate between each-other, make a video and tweet the fans, but next week he'd want an answer as to who he is facing at Supercard of Honor. 20. <p>ROH Wrestling Exclusive Sit-Down With "The American Nightmare" Cody and Brandi Rhodes</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;">ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: Post-Match Sit-Down With Cody</span></p><p> </p><p> Coming off a great 16th Anniversary Pay-Per-View, our <strong>Ian Riccaboni</strong> had a chance to sit down with ROH World Champion, <strong>Cody</strong> and his wife, Women of Honor Champion, <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong>. The sit-down interview was conducted in what appeared to be the Victory Room from Anniversary. <strong>Cody</strong> is smoking a fine cigar while swirling a glass of scotch. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> tries to get into questions before <strong>Cody</strong> stops him and says he'll dictate the direction of this interview. He starts by lavishing praise on his wife and how she's conquered the Women of Honor division. He mentions that <strong>Brandi</strong> has held the title since January but she hasn't had a televised match and that it ludicrous. While he respect the Women of Honor division, he thinks his wife needs to be on the Supercard of Honor main show and tells <strong>Riccaboni</strong> to tell the people in charge to make it happen. </p><p> </p><p> He then turns his focus to his recent battle with <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>. He puts Lethal over, saying he was a valiant competitor and a great first generation professional wrestler, but unfortunately for Lethal, <strong>Cody</strong> is a "GENERATIONAL" wrestler with a whole life worth of experience. He says his father, the American Dream was the picture of old-school wrestling, but <strong>Cody</strong> is the embodiment of Modern Professional Wrestling. He is the <em>American Nightmare</em>, a man with no fear and a man who needs no help to achieve his DREAM. Riccaboni mentions <strong>Cody</strong> is part of the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> and <strong>Cody</strong> immediately stops him and says that there is a reason they aren't here in the Victory Room with him. He says the night began with 80% of the members of the Bullet Club holding titles in <em>Ring of Honor</em> and the night ends with 80% of the Bullet Club losing match-ups... He quickly points out that means that ONLY he, CODY, the American Nightmare, has succeeded tonight. He says that the Bullet Club will come to learn how to win under his leadership and at <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Supercard of Honor</span> he'll show them first-hand. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> tries to follow-up but <strong>Cody</strong> abruptly ends the interview, stating to Riccaboni that it is time for him to finish the night off with a little nightcap. Brandi pours him another glass of scotch as Riccaboni and the cameraman exit the scene.</p>
  21. ROH Anniversary XVI Ring Of Honor Anniversary XVI Live on Pay Per View, Available Exclusively Through Fite.TV March Week 2, Sunday, 2018 Commentators: Ian Riccaboni, Bobby Cruise and Colt Cabana Live on ROHWrestling.com the preshow kicked off with two online exclusives. First in Future of Honor action, Odinson defeated Jay White. Odinson is continuing to show he is a force to be reckoned with here in ROH. In Women of Honor action, Kelly Klein defeated Deonna Purrazzo in a boring battle. --------------------------------------------- Match Ratings: Pre-Show: Odinson defeated Jay White (D-) Pre-Show: Kelly Klein defeated Deonna Purrazzo (E) Motor City Machine Guns defeated The Dawgs (C-) Kenny King defeated Dalton Castle (D) Will Ospreay defeated Marty Scurll (C-) Flip Gordon defeated Punishment Martinez (D-) SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated Hung Bucks (C-) Josh Woods defeated Tom Lawlor (E+) The Briscoe Brothers defeated War Machine (C+) Cody defeated Jay Lethal (C+) Overall Rating: C+ --------------------------------------------- Prediction Contest (Through 4 of 5 Events Pre-Prize; Most Correct Wins, with Percentage correct as tie-breaker) (Remaining PPV: Supercard of Honor) KnowYourEnemy 2/4 + 4/7 (+1 TPT Finals) (Current: 7/11) DGenerationMC 2/4 + 4/7 + 4/6 + 5/8 (Current 15/25) BHK1978 2/4 + 3/7 + 4/6 + 4/8 (Current 13/21) Warhawk8492 2/7 + 4/6 + 4/8 (Current 10/21) Uncrewed 2/7 Wolfman84 4/7 Blodyxe 4/7 + 4/6 (Current 8/13) Kijar 2/6 + 4/8 (Current 6/14) Martel123 3/6 (+1 for TV Title Bonus, Jay White) + 3/8 (Current: 7/14) --------------------------------------------- Comments First and foremost, Happy New Year 2018! Glad people are appreciating the Lawlor storyline. Not quite over yet, but making progress toward the end. Wish he'd get better ratings, but hey... he's an MMA guy. The Briscoes are now 9X ROH Tag Champs, but its the first reign since 2012-13. Crazy to think the first reign was in 2003. These guys are ROH through and through and I think the storyline I'm building up to will be a solid payoff. I screwed up the Best Friends storyline with MCMG, but Beretta being in Japan helps cover it up... Should still work out in the end. I agreed with the general consensus that Punishment Martinez is a stupid name. I've seen him used as Damien Martinez in the past, and he needed a manager so that brought BJ Whitmer back into the picture. Plus I found Priscilla Kelly to be an upcoming and dark female figure. I hope this will give Damien a better direction moving forward. Without spoiling anything, I think 6-man tag titles are slightly... lame. But for now they are going to survive. By taking them off the Young Bucks it frees me up to develop the storyline building into Supercard of Honor and ultimately War of the Worlds. This should be a fun one. See you all in 2018. Having some fun with this, really appreciate the predictions and feedback, thanks guys.
  22. <p>I stand corrected, thanks for the clarification. Guess it would seem logical to set him as a worldwide guy, but non-affiliated with ROH. </p><p> </p><p> My bad</p>
  23. <p>I disagree with the above post, he's on the latest set of tapings for them, so he's at least on the roster for January.</p><p> </p><p> Looking forward to this, as always.</p>

A man that has helped shape the careers of many...... He calls out <strong>Cheeseburger</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody</strong> easily defeated <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> to retain the ROH World Title; this match-up was clearly just a tune-up for his match against Jay Lethal tomorrow night.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring, <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> once again jumps the barrier, before security can get in the ring Lawlor says he has paperwork from his lawyer that states he can be here. He proceeds to mention that he was barred only by <strong>Joe Koff</strong>. Since Joe is retired, and the new CEO hasn't been named, there is no reason why he can't be here... This prompted <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong> to come out and say that Lawlor is only here because he's suspended from the UFC. He isn't even serious about wrestling, and if he were he wouldn't hesitate to face Woods one-on-one at Anniversary. Suddenly, <strong>Cary Silkin</strong>, Ring of Honor's former owner and frequent ringside supporter, stood-up and took a microphone. "Tom, you've been reeking havoc out here for the last few months. All I see is a cry-baby. But... Ring of Honor has always been about opportunity and you may have a point about your loss in the Top Prospect Tournament... Well... <em><strong>AS NEW CEO OF RING OF HONOR</strong></em>, tomorrow night at our 16th Anniversary it'll be <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor vs. Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong>. Tom, if you win, I'll personally present you with your contract." </p><p> </p><p> Fresh off the announcement that <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> had once again taken control of Ring of Honor, <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated <strong>The Kingdom</strong> in a hard-hitting battle. With only a day separating them from a Tag Title shot, War Machine looks stronger than ever. But in an effort to weakened them before the match, <strong>The Briscoes</strong> head to the ring and a four-man brawl sent us to commercial break.</p><p> </p><p> We get a video highlighting the feud between <strong>SoCal Uncensored</strong> and the <strong>Hung Bucks</strong>. The package centers around the addition of Rocky Romero and the strength he brings to the battle. At Anniversary the 6-man titles are on the line.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong> defeated <strong>Tough Guy Inc</strong>., and during the match-up the announcers hyped the strength of the Guns moving forward.</p><p> </p><p> We see <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> backstage stretching and loosening up, suddenly <strong>Punishment Martinez</strong> enters the scene and throws Lethal into the wall. From behind the camera we can hear a males voice directing Punishment to "finish him"; this prompted Martinez to wrap a chair around the back of Lethal, prompting a loud scream and leaving Lethal doubtful for his title shot tomorrow. Before Martinez can strike again, <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> flew into the scene with a chair of his own, chasing Martinez from the area.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, for the right to be the #1 Contender to the TV Title. <strong>Dalton Castle defeated Matt Taven, Will Ospreay and Marty Scurll</strong> when he pinned Taven. Castle gets a shot at Kenny King tomorrow night. During the match Scurll and Ospreay took the battle outside the ring and the two men were still brawling after the bell. As the show went off the air, Cary Silkin announced that <strong>Will Ospreay and Marty Scurll</strong> will face each other at Anniversary and blow off this steam formally, one on one.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> ---------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Ring of Honor Anniversary XVI PPV Preview (Sunday March Week 2, 2018)</span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> With the shock announcement of new Ring of Honor CEO, Cary Silkin, coming during our final TV episode prior to Anniversary, we have a hot card to carry into our 16th year. With the card being finalized after the show we can now confirm there will be eight huge match-ups. Four titles will be on the line, and a contract for Tom Lawlor is also on the line. </p><p> </p><p> Following the brutal attack on Jay Lethal, Flip Gordon has challenged Punishment Martinez, and that has officially been signed to the card. Beyond that, we can confirm that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin will face The Dawgs in the opening match-up. With a victory, The Guns will certainly put themselves right back into the title picture. The only question remaining is will Jay Lethal be able to compete, and if he can, how weakened will he be by the unprompted assault he suffered last night.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><ul><li>Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Dawgs<br /></li><li>ROH TV Title: Dalton Castle vs. Kenny King {C}<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Marty Scurll vs. Will Ospreay<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Flip Gordon vs. Punishment Martinez<br /></li><li>6-Man Tag Titles: Hung Bucks {C} vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0<br /></li><li>Josh "The Goods" Woods vs. Tom Lawlor; If Lawlor wins, he'll receive a ROH contract<br /></li><li>ROH Tag Titles: The Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. War Machine<br /></li><li>ROH World Title: Cody {C} vs. Jay Lethal<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>
