He mentions Global Wars is only two weeks away, and that <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> will get his shot. <strong>Naito</strong> appears, but <strong>Cody</strong> wisely says he's a businessman and that he'll save the fight for the pay-per-view. But tonight, <strong>Naito</strong> can face another member of the <em>Bullet Club</em>... <strong>Hangman Page</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> Our first bout featured <strong>Hirooki Goto</strong> making his first appearance since last years Global Wars tour. Goto easily defeated <strong>The Beer City Bruiser</strong>. </p><p> </p><p> New Women of Honor champion <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong> is out next, she's out to say the that her winning the title is only the start of the reboot the Women of Honor needed. She says the division needs even more shaking-up. This brings <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong> out. She congratulates <strong>Nattie</strong> on the victory. Saying that last weeks loss was heartbreaking, <strong>Brandi</strong> announces she's stepping down from in-ring competition, effective immediately. <strong>Brandi</strong> says that when your the Queen you need to pick the battles you can win... and in-ring competition isn't a battle worth fighting. She says she knows she needs to put all her attention into the Dynasty that <strong>Cody</strong> is building and leaves the ring on that note. <strong>Nattie</strong> finishes the promo saying that next week she'll have more news on the shake-up...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>KUSHIDA</strong> makes his return to ROH next, easily defeating <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> in his bout. Post-match, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> calls out <strong>KUSHIDA</strong>, claiming <strong>KUSHIDA</strong> is just like <strong>Alex Shelley</strong>, a man who rides the coat-tails of others to opportunities he never deserved. The announcers mention that<strong> KUSHIDA</strong> has held the ROH Television title and is a major star in Japan and wonder if <strong>Sabin</strong> has bit off more than he can chew.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated <strong>Tough Guy Inc</strong> in the penultimate bout of the night. Post-match, <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong> come out. <strong>Mark</strong> doesn't have his crutches. They tell <strong>Rowe and Hanson</strong> that <strong>Mark</strong> has been cleared and at Global Wars... It's On.</p><p> </p><p> In the night's main event <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> made easy work of <strong>Hangman Page</strong>. The show went off the air with <strong>Naito</strong> posing on the turnbuckle.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROH TV, October Week 2, 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="UdIpDUK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UdIpDUK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: <strong>The End</strong> defeated <strong>Good Burger</strong></p><p> </p><p> Our televised show opened with <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> defeating <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> in a well above average match. Post-match though <strong>Lethal</strong> is cornered by <strong>Whitmer and Martinez</strong>. Before anything bad can happen <strong>Low-Ki</strong> flies down and clears the ring. He grabs a microphone and tells <strong>Lethal</strong>, at Global Wars, they'll team up to destroy <strong>BJ Whitmer and Damien Martinez</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Hirooki Goto</strong> and fellow NJPW stablemate, <strong>Beretta</strong> defeated <strong>Silas Young and The Beer City Bruiser</strong> in a bad bout. <strong>Young</strong> was very frustrated with <strong>Bruiser</strong> during and after the bout, leading to some speculation there was trouble in paradise.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we see <strong>Cody</strong> sitting with the rest of the <strong>Bullet Club</strong>. He mentions how the group hasn't always been as close as they once were, but that they all know they need a unified front to defeat <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> at Global Wars. <strong>Cody</strong> asks them all to follow their leader and help ensure the belt stays around his waist.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong> is out next and she says at Global Wars she's brokered a partnership with Japan's best Women's Wrestling promotion, <strong>STARDOM</strong> and she's issuing an open challenge for one of them to answer....... New music hits and out walks <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong>. <strong>Dashwood</strong> asks <strong>Nattie</strong> if she remembers her and says she heard she was looking for a star... Well the star is here.<strong> Dashwood</strong> tells <strong>Nattie</strong>, STARDOM can wait... at Global Wars, The Australian Beauty, <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> will face <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In our next bout <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> defeated <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> when <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> came down to the ring and distracted <strong>Lawlor</strong>. Post-Match, <strong>Riddle</strong> said he has some unfinished business with <strong>Lawlor</strong>, and they'll settle it at Global Wars.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> cuts a promo about <strong>"Switchblade" Jay White.</strong> He says they will tear the house down at Global Wars, but in the end the Villain always wins.</p><p> </p><p> In our television main event: <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> made their first title defense of the new reign against <strong>KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley and Will Ospreay</strong>. <strong>Shelley and KUSHIDA</strong> reprised their Time Splitters team and <strong>Ospreay </strong>joined and we nearly had new champions, but <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> wandered down to the ringside area during the bout and joined commentary and that slight distraction proved costly. As <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> scored the pinfall. Post-Match <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> issued a challenge to <strong>KUSHIDA</strong> for Global Wars.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, the show went off the air with a press conference featuring <strong>Cody</strong> and <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong>. It highlighted their feud and the previous meeting, where <strong>Naito</strong> defeated <strong>Cody</strong> in a non-title bout in May. </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

We can now confirm that <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> has officially signed a contract with Ring of Honor and the Australian beauty will be making her debut during the upcoming Global Wars tour that starts later this week.</p><p> </p><p> In year since she began taking independent bookings again <strong>Dashwood</strong> has set out to recapture the passion that made her a breakout star in her early 20's. She's toured the world, and now she's arriving in Ring of Honor to prove to the Women of Honor, this time, it's All About Me.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Notes:</span></strong></p><p> Loving the commentary and thoughts you guys had on Death Before Dishonor. Really enjoyed writing that show, so I'm glad it translated. </p><p> </p><p> Kijar: I love that Taven story, he is capable of being that rare heel that actually makes people hate him. The hatred for Hammerstone is real haha.... You know he and Rosas and Avalon have even been in matches together! He will earn your respect...... Ok, maybe not.</p><p> </p><p> Real-life ROH decided to pull a fast one on me today and debut Tenille at the show in Charlotte... I'd actually made an offer in-game to her last night as I thought she'd be another good fit for this rebooted division, so hey, I went ahead and pulled the trigger to make the announcement here.</p><p> </p><p> Between Kijar and The Lariat's suggestions for the TPT I might as well just purchase Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. <strong>Austin Draven</strong>, who I also enjoy, is probably too popular for the TPT as he's featured on Lucha Underground at the moment and they are on fire so he is pretty popular... Might not deter me though. I'll need to dig more into <strong>Ray Rosas</strong> to get a better feel for him, I see him put up in diaries here and there (...mainly Kijar's haha) but really don't know much about him. <strong>Peter Avalon</strong> on the other hand I know and have seen live. Not a bad thought there. <strong>Brody King</strong> is a guy I've enjoyed in his recent MLW and EVOLVE work. There is a role for him, and it might just be in the TPT... Maybe i'll just put he and Punishment together and call them 6'7"+ Tattooed guys with above average athleticism. Good call on him. Last but not least, <strong>Douglas James</strong>. I'd never heard of him to be honest, so I pulled up some stuff on YouTube/Twitter... I'm down. He fits the ROH style and he's only 24 in the game so that's a big plus. Definitely going to be a contender. In the interest of transparency, my current shortlist for the TPT 2019 has 11 guys on it (and we are still months away!). All 11 are guys either that have been suggested or that I've enjoyed watching at some point. Only eight will make it in... Dun Dun Dun.</p><p> </p><p> I have a concept I'm toying with involving the HonorClub streaming portal that Real Life ROH just announced. Running a couple tests/thoughts before introducing it to the story, but I think it'll be a nice addition.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Global Wars</span></strong> has a short build-up and I'll likely post the two TV shows in the next 24-36 hours. I also have one additional ROHWrestling.com Exclusive Post that'll be up in that time frame.</p><p> </p><p> I don't love pinballing titles a ton but I think the 6-Man Titles are designed in a way that it is ok... Plus when The Boys seemed to stop getting any Pop bump I knew they were screwed.</p>
  3. ROH Death Before Dishonor VIII Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor VIII Sunday, September Week 4, 2018 Announcers: Ian Riccaboni and AJ Kirsch In an ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: "Filthy" Tom Lawlor knocked out Leon St. Giovanni. -------------------------------------------------------------- Match Ratings: Alex Shelley defeated Chris Sabin (C-) War Machine defeated Best Friends © Nattie Neidhart defeated Brandi Rhodes (D-) The Young Bucks defeated Matt Taven and Hammerstone (C+) Marty Scurll defeated Odinson (C-) SoCal Uncensored 2.0 defeated Dalton Castle and The Boys (D+) Low Ki defeated BJ Whitmer © Cody defeated Jay Briscoe (C+) Overall Show: C+ ----------------------------------------------- Notes: Woo, I was having a brief bit of bookers "block" trying to figure out some stories for the Global Wars PPV that is a mere two television shows away. I've known since May when Naito defeated Cody during the first War of the Worlds tour, that this would be the Global Wars Main Event, so I'm thrilled to get to that pay-off. As I watched some of NJPW's real product I decided that the Switchblade character fits ROH and since it's an NJPW creation is a great tie-in for Global Wars, that's what prompted Jay White to make that appearance. He's been on my roster since the start, but I've tried to use him very sparingly and considered releasing him to more accurately mirror reality but I've decided this route makes sense and will fit. Beyond that Mark Briscoe is recovered, I had him "sell" the injury for an extra week so that it would fit the story. He and Jay will immediately have to refocus as War Machine will get their title shot. As for the Brandi Rhodes loss... well... She's EASILY the worst performer on my roster (in fact her individual performance in that match was an F+). There are a number of Women available that I think fit the ROH product and though I struggle to book women, think I have a plan that might work and translate and Nattie is the start of that reboot. Having her as a strong champion will allow me to rebuild the division around better wrestlers, which after all is what ROH is all about. Matt Taven is absolutely a stable-guy to me... also he's a bad wrestler in the game and that limits what I can do with him because i'm a performance over popularity company. Odinson is actually blossoming into a solid worker, so that pairing works and it allowed me to bring in a new face in Hammerstone. The Sabin/Shelley split was one I debated for awhile. I've always really enjoyed both Shelley and Sabin and they've been a great team in ROH and around the world for a while. I actually enjoyed Sabin's title run in TNA back in 2013, and it got me thinking about what made that character great. With Shelley's win I think it'll start a path for both Shelley and Sabin that will lead to new stories and new directions... worst case scenario they can reconcile one day... but they deserve a shot. Much like the Briscoes. Speaking of which, I'd been planning on one of them getting this September PPV title shot for a long-time... when Mark actually got injured in-game that opened the door for Jay to get the shot. It worked out perfectly. Jay and Mark are consistently putting up B's and A's in individual performance, though they work better as a team. They are the champs for a reason. After Global Wars, we have Survival of the Fittest and then the year-end finale, Final Battle. Fun fun. Hope everyone is still enjoying the ride as much as I am! Agreed with all... can't really stand Whitmer. He does well on the microphone though, and Martinez needs that. I wanted Low-Ki to hit some big spots and decided that subjecting Whitmer to that was a good idea. Plus I think it helps that an ROH Original shut Whitmer up about "Exorcising" the past. Suck it BJ. Minor hint, I have something in mind for one of the three in this group, but we are four-five months away from that pay-off. Also made the decision to take the belts off Castle/The Boys because well... The Boys auto-push to enhancement talent... and Castle has some direction now, so he doesn't need the 6-man belts. Daniels and Kaz have long been personal favorites, but they are both on Time Decline, so at this point its keeping a belt that I personally don't love warm... They can feud with some of my random threesomes like Coleman/O'Ryan/Taylor or even Odinson/Taven/Hammerstone... or maybe even a true jobber team of Cheeseburger/Woods/St Giovanni!!! hahaha. The prediction contest is still going strong, thanks to all. This round will conclude at Global Wars. We will then have a Three session Round Four based on the Survival of the Fittest (November) before the grand conclusion at Final Battle!... and then we will reboot with 2019! Just as a fun thought, I've already got four-five names lined up for the Top Prospect Tournament 2019. So I'm looking forward to getting there. I've gone a bit of an EVOLVE bender of late (hence the Odinson) so I'm enjoying finding characters I've never seen/heard of prior to watching it. I think that is what is great about the TPT concept. Also the Future of Honor concept... I've really enjoyed the Secrets of Nitro podcast (if anyone is into podcasts it's a great 75-90 minute show with a former producer of WCW Nitro/the voice of the NWO). Some of the things I've heard him say about presentation and how they do things have really sparked some thoughts and ideas. And it's a nice way to pass the time as drive for long distances. Highly recommend it, as well as the What Happened When podcast with Tony Schiavone. ... It's also prompted the wild thought of a B-Show Diary highlighting the stars of WCW Saturday Night in 1999... you know like Road Block and High Voltage... Oh ok... kidding. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Prediction Contest (Session Four, Third of Five Rounds) This third round will conclude at Global Wars! Blodyxe: 9/10 + 8/10 + 7/9 TheFinalCountdown: 9/10 + 10/10 + 8/9 + 6/8 DGenerationMC: 9/10 + 8/10 + 8/9 + 5/8 The Lariat: 7/10 BHK1978: 6/10 + 8/10 + 7/9 + 5/8 Kijar: 4/10 + 7/10 + 7/9 + 4/8 Powerbrock100: 7/10 + 8/9 DREAM~!: 6/8 Warhawk8492: 4/8

We had two ROHWrestling.com Pre-show exclusives as <strong>Sumie Sakai</strong> defeated <strong>Jessie "Bonesaw" Brooks</strong> in WOH action and <strong>Rhett Titus</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Our televised portion kicked off with <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> defeating <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong> in singles action. Post-match, <strong>Dalton</strong> got on the microphone and told <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> that the Party Peacock is back on track, and thanks to the them and their antagonizing ways only further lighting a fire in Dalton's.... <strong>The Boys</strong> stepped in to prevent <strong>Dalton</strong> from finishing the sentence, fanning him down... <strong>Dalton</strong> then finishes by saying, next month at <em>Death Before Dishonor</em>, it'll be <strong>SoCal Uncensored</strong> who is dishonored as <strong>Castle and The Boys</strong> will retain.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we see <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> and <strong>Alex Shelley</strong>. <strong>Shelley</strong> asks <strong>Sabin</strong> why he wasn't at the PPV and says he's been distant recently. <strong>Shelley</strong> says if <strong>Sabin</strong> had been there he knows they would have captured the opportunity to become the #1 Contenders. But <strong>Sabin</strong> stops him and says he wasn't there because he had bigger things to do... like tonight, he has places to be, and walks out. Leaving <strong>Shelley</strong> standing there. <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> walks up after <strong>Sabin</strong> leaves and volunteers to be <strong>Shelley's</strong> partner tonight.</p><p> </p><p> In tag action the <strong>Best Friends</strong> scored a victory over <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong>. The <strong>Best Friends</strong> tell the cameras that unlike some, their friendship is stronger than ever!</p><p> </p><p> Next we see <strong>Matt Taven</strong> talking to <strong>Odinson</strong>. <strong>Taven</strong> tells <strong>Odinson</strong> that the PPV taught him that they needed more manpower. Looking directly into the camera, <strong>Taven</strong> says next week, he'll face <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> for the television title and that <strong>Marty </strong>better watch out, <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The End</span></strong> is here.</p><p> </p><p> The newly, potentially temporary, team of <strong>Alex Shelley and Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Tough Guy Inc.</strong> in a match that showcased <strong>Shelley and Ospreay</strong> as a team they showed that they might be a force if they choose to tag together in the future, but for now <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> is clearly concerned with reuniting with his long-time partner, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong> are walking towards the entrance curtain and <strong>Jay</strong> screams something about wanting to face "A Young Buck" tonight. They happen upon <strong>Matt and Nick Jackson</strong>... <strong>Mark</strong> immediately swings a crutch at <strong>Nick</strong>, taking him out as <strong>Jay</strong> lays into <strong>Matt</strong> screaming your coming with me. <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> drags <strong>Matt Jackson</strong> out to the ring and the main event begins. Having jumped him in the back, <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> clearly didn't have much interest in adhering to the <em>Code of Honor</em>, but as he got <strong>Matt</strong> to the ring and the bell rang, <strong>Jay</strong> mockingly shook his hand. <strong>Matt Jackson</strong> made a comeback and the match turned into a solid main event but <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> did get the win in the end, hitting the Jay Driller.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, September Week 1, 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="HO2Q7wI.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HO2Q7wI.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> In an ROHWrestling.com Exclusive we taped "<strong>The End</strong>" defeating the enhancement team of <strong>Brad Kevins and Kriss Stark</strong>. This will be available online after the episode so be sure to tune in to find out who is teaming with <strong>Odinson</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> The show opens with <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> taking on <strong>Will Ospreay, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin</strong>. <strong>Sabin</strong> appears completely disinterested in this match-up but he partakes in a couple tags. As the match gets going <strong>Ospreay</strong> is knocked off the ring-apron "accidentally" by <strong>Sabin</strong>, who tags out to <strong>Shelley</strong> and goes to ringside to "help" <strong>Ospreay</strong>. <strong>Shelley</strong> gets the momentum going, and goes for a tag but <strong>Sabin</strong> is down on the floor with <strong>Ospreay</strong> and looking out into the crowd. <strong>Kazarian</strong> sneaks in from behind and rolls up <strong>Shelley</strong> to get the win as <strong>Ospreay</strong> can't get back into the ring in time and <strong>Sabin</strong> made no effort to break-up the count, feigning interest in something happening in the audience. Post-match <strong>Sabin</strong> blames <strong>Shelley</strong> for the loss and <strong>Shelley</strong> begins arguing with him. <strong>Ospreay</strong> tries to reason with them but <strong>Sabin</strong> just walks off as <strong>Shelley</strong> shakes his head.</p><p> </p><p> After last weeks assault and defeat of <strong>Matt Jackson, Jay Briscoe</strong> took on and took down <strong>Hangman Page</strong> this week. Post-match, <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> called out <strong>Cody</strong>, saying <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> has proven himself as the best wrestler in the company. <strong>Cody</strong> comes out and disagrees with him and the two men exchange words. <strong>Jay</strong> challenges <strong>Cody</strong> to a title shot but <strong>Cody</strong> doesn't respond, instead walking out.</p><p> </p><p> We get a hype video with the <strong>Best Friends</strong>, they say that they feel like they are back on track and next week they are challenging the #1 Contenders, <strong>War Machine</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> defeated <strong>Caprice Coleman</strong> in a bout that was surprisingly good. <strong>Lethal</strong> has consistently proven himself as a star in this company and this bout continued to show that. Though he fell short last month against <strong>Cody, Lethal</strong> will continue to be a threat as the year progresses.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Low-Ki</strong> is seen with a Doctor, the Doctor is checking his elbow out and says "All Good, I see no new damage"... <strong>Low-Ki</strong> looks up at a camera and calls out <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>, saying that <strong>Whitmer and Damien</strong> tried to end him, but you can't break a warrior. What <strong>Whitmer</strong> did was spineless and only what a man who is afraid of a fight would do.</p><p> </p><p> In the television main event, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> defended the Television Title against <strong>Matt Taven</strong>, <strong>Odinson</strong> was suspiciously missing from ringside, but as <strong>Scurll</strong> had his hand raised......</p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="240" height="130" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rFg7I8pX7OU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0&start=9" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/rFg7I8pX7OU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0&start=9"</a> frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Odinson</strong> and another large man, identified as <strong>Hammerstone</strong> (last seen during the Top Prospect Tournament), jumped the guardrail and immediately decimated <strong>Scurll</strong> in the middle of the ring. <strong>Taven</strong> grabbed a microphone and told Marty... He says that being a World Champion is hard work, but its work cut out only for a man like <strong>Cody</strong>. With that said, he's a fighting champion and at Death Before Dishonor... It'll be <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cody vs. Jay Briscoe</span></strong> for the ROH World Title.</p><p> </p><p> What a huge announcement to start our show! Our first match meanwhile involves <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeating <strong>Silas Young</strong>. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> hit a Ki Krusher and managed to keep his elbow out of harms way throughout the bout. Post-match he calls out <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> and gets <strong>Whitmer, Priscilla Kelly and Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> challenges <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> to a <em>Fight Without Honor at Death Before Dishonor</em>. Whitmer nods happily and says he'll see him there.</p><p> </p><p> In a pre-recorded promo <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> promise to win the titles back at <em>Death Before Dishonor</em>. Saying they won't be robbed like they were in "International Waters".</p><p> </p><p> Our newest tag team, <strong>The End</strong> is out next, they take on the recently dysfunctional <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. In fact the match starts with <strong>Shelley and Sabin</strong> arguing with eachother on the way to the ring. The camera picks up <strong>Sabin</strong> saying he's sorry, and he's focused. <strong>Odinson and Hammerstone</strong> pick up a shock victory though when <strong>Sabin</strong> walks out on <strong>Shelley</strong> in the middle of the match. <strong>Shelley</strong> looks distraught in the ring as <strong>Matt Taven</strong> pushes him from the ring and with a microphone tells <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> that at Death Before Dishonor, <strong>Odinson</strong> is cashing in his prize for winning the <em>Top Prospect Tournament</em>, and much like his mentor "ME" (Matt Taven), he'll capture the television title.</p><p> </p><p> In a pre-recorded promo back in Sandy Fork, DE the <strong>Briscoes</strong>, surrounded by their family discuss what Ring of Honor has meant to the them and what the ROH World Title will mean to <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong>. And Dem Boyz will reclaim their spot as ROH's wrestling dynasty.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, the <strong>Best Friends</strong> defeated the tag team #1 Contenders, <strong>War Machine</strong> in a very solid bout. <strong>Beretta</strong> hit the Gobstopper on <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> to get the victory for his team. <strong>Ian Riccaboni</strong> wonders on commentary what that'll mean for the Tag Title Contenders and encourages us to tune in next week to find out.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Notes:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> DREAM~!: Definitely hard to book the crossover shows, but they are a lot of fun. They let me bring in guys I wouldn't normally use and it allows me to book some guys as features rather than as full-time guys so I enjoy it. But it does create some headaches.</p><p> </p><p> Blodyxe: I think it's safe to assume he wrapped that crutch around the back of Titan and/or El Soberano Jr at one point or another during the bout ;-)... Plus as you saw on TV he used it to neutralize a Young Buck.</p><p> </p><p> I'm using Hammerstone (Alexander Hammerstone from the Top Prospect Tournament) as the second piece of The End tag-team because I thought his name flowed so much better with Odinson than his actual partner from EVOLVE and FIP (Mike Parrow). Plus I like the look of Hammerstone. At 27 and 24 respectively, The End could be a true force as a tag team, plus they have excellent chemistry which is a big help. I personally don't love Matt Taven, but I liked the idea of a former ROH TV champ and Top Prospect Tournament winner (Taven) mentoring Odinson and subsequently Hammerstone. He's definitely more on an unknown but I need a couple of those types of a guys and I wanted a character that fit the product and I think he does.</p><p> </p><p> I think the build-up for Death Before Dishonor has been solid so far, we have a challenger for the TV, World and 6-Man titles all set-up and we still have two weeks of TV left. I'm happy about that.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, we've just grown to Cult-Size. Which is both great and scary... especially since the WWE and NJPW both have fallen to Cult recently, leaving us in a bit of a wrestling wasteland. Though WWE is definitely still "international" in scheduling, which is good. I may make some Exclusive PPA contract offers to some of my stars if I'm forced into it, but for now it'll be status quo! We have A+ Momentum, which is awesome but I think as we move from Regional to Cult that'll take a hit.</p>
  7. I suppose that is what happens when I type up a show at 1 AM... My bad, nice catch. Thank you.

But Cody's going to have a very formidable challenger at Death Before Dishonor. </p><p> </p><p> The rest of the card was up and down.</p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong>Prediction Contest (Session Three, Third of Five Rounds)</strong></p><p> Blodyxe: 9/10 + 8/10 + 7/9 </p><p> TheFinalCountdown: 9/10 + 10/10 + 8/9</p><p> DGenerationMC: 9/10 + 8/10 + 8/9</p><p> The Lariat: 7/10 </p><p> BHK1978: 6/10 + 8/10 + 7/9</p><p> Kijar: 4/10 + 7/10 + 7/9</p><p> Powerbrock100: 7/10 + 8/9</p>

  10. <p>ROH, CMLL, NJPW and RPW Present: War of the Worlds August 2018 Preview</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">ROH, CMLL, RPW and NJPW Present: War of the Worlds, August Week 3, 2018 CARD PREVIEW</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The Ring of Honor title will be defended as the winner of the Sea of Honor tournament, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> will challenge <strong>Cody</strong> for the ROH World title. <strong>Cody</strong> has been the reigning and defending ROH champion for all but two months in the last fourteen months. <strong>Lethal</strong> reigned supreme for 14 months from 2015 through 2016 but has struggled to reach that mountain-top again since losing the title. This bout is sure to be a barn-burner.</p><p> </p><p> Facing the risk of vacating the Ring of Honor Tag Titles due to <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>'s ankle injury, brother <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> got creative and will be defending the titles solo as he challenged <strong>Titan</strong> and a mystery partner from CMLL. We can confirm now, exclusively that <strong>Titan</strong> has brought in 24-year old sensation, <strong>El Soberano Jr.</strong>, and this opportunity will be a phenomenal chance for the Lucha Libre sensations to take down the one-man army <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Ring of Honor Television champion <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> has had a rough few weeks during the tour, and now he'll face perhaps his toughest challenge yet. G1 Climax runner-up <strong>SANADA</strong>. <strong>SANADA</strong> has had a ton of success in Japan as a tag specialist, but his recent singles run has been propelling him to new heights. At War of the Worlds, he's got a chance to secure the ROH Television title.</p><p> </p><p> Following his first round victory at Sea of Honor against <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>, <strong>Low-Ki </strong>was attacked by <strong>Martinez</strong> post-match, hyperextending his elbow. Though not cleared by Doctors, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> has challenged <strong>Martinez</strong> and will put his health on the line here at War of the Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> What happens when two former UFC stars transition to the wrestling ring? Well you get a feud that transcends sport. <strong>Matt Riddle and Tom Lawlor</strong> never met in the UFC, but tonight at War of the Worlds, the <strong>"King of Bros" Matt Riddle</strong> will take on <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> in what is sure to be a brawl.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Los Ingobernables de Japón</strong> may be well known among Indy Wrestling fans, but did you know that the stable was originally founded in CMLL by <strong>Rush</strong>. At War of the Worlds, <strong>Rush, Tetsuya Naito and EVIL</strong> will be taking on <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong>. <strong>Los Ingobernables</strong> have secured some major wins over the past few tours with Ring of Honor, including Naito pinning ROH Champion Cody, and this one will have a chance to continue to put them over the top. For <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong>, this is an opportunity to get back on track as a trio. <strong>Matt and Nick</strong> have had some good success this year as a tag-team but there have been some issues as a trio of late. With <strong>Hangman Page</strong> looking better than ever, is this the match they get back on track.</p><p> </p><p> Speaking of trios, former ROH 6-Man Tag champions <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> have been taunting <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> for the last month. Gresham's friends, <strong>Kid Lykos and Chris Brookes</strong> have joined Ring of Honor from our partner Revolution Pro Wrestling. With this bout <strong>Gresham, Lykos and Brookes</strong> can score a major victory over ROH Legends. On the otherside, a win for <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> will certainly put them back on track to challenge <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Finally, we can exclusively announce that Ring of Honor officials have announced a five-team tag turmoil bout to name the new #1 Contenders for the tag titles. The bout will start with <span style="text-decoration:underline;">four-teams</span> in the ring in an elimination contest. Once that bout has been decided the winning team will get face the team that ROH Officials have given an advantage too, <strong>War Machine</strong>. The first four teams will be <strong>The Dawgs</strong> (<em>Will Ferrara and Rhett Titus</em>), <strong>Good Burger</strong> (<em>Josh Woods and Cheeseburger</em>), <strong>The Pastors of Pain</strong> (<em>Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor</em>) and the team of <strong>Matt Taven and Odinson</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH War of the Worlds Card</span></strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>ROH World: Cody {C} vs. Jay Lethal<br /></li><li>ROH Tag Titles, Handicapped: Jay Briscoe {C} vs. Titan and El Soberano Jr.<br /></li><li>ROH Television: Marty Scurll {C} vs. SANADA<br /></li><li>#1 Contendership Tag Turmoil: Caprice Coleman/Shane Taylor vs. Good Burger (Josh "The Goods" Woods and Cheeseburger) vs. Matt Taven/Odinson vs. The Dawgs<br /></li><li>#1 Contendership Tag Turmoil: War Machine vs. Winners of Tag Turmoil Four-Way <br /></li><li>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor vs. "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. Low-Ki<br /></li><li>CCK (Jonathan Gresham, Kid Lykos and Chris Brookes) vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0<br /></li><li>6-Man Tag Action: Los Ingobernables (Tetsuya Naito, Rush and EVIL) vs. The Hung Bucks<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

They teamed together to defeat <strong>Kenny King and The Dawgs</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Still on the pre-show and streaming live via ROHWrestling.com; <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> came out and mocked <strong>Gresham</strong>, saying that between the 5'3" guy (<strong>Gresham</strong>), the 6'4" 170 pound guy (<strong>Brookes</strong>), and the deranged dog (<strong>Lykos</strong>), <em>CCK</em> has the semblance of a normal team... And at the Pay-Per-View <em>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</em> gets back on track by bullying these school-children... But Until then, tune in...</p><p> </p><p> We went live on television with <strong>Daniels and Kazarian</strong> already in the ring. Their opponents were <strong>Rush and Tetsuya Naito</strong>. This bout was one of the best televised bouts we've seen and in the end <strong>Naito and Rush</strong> took home a victory, setting <strong>The Addiction</strong> back slightly.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> come out and challenge <strong>Tetsuya Naito and Rush</strong> to an 8-man tag main event for next week. It'll be the <strong>Young Bucks, Marty Scurll and Hangman Page vs. Tetsuya Naito, Rush, SANADA and EVIL</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> choked out <em>Enhancement Talent</em>, <strong>Rob Killjoy</strong> in one minute and thirty-eight seconds. While he was celebrating, <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> made an appearance and immediately told <strong>Lawlor</strong> he was a washed-up has been and the <em>King of Bros</em> was the biggest thing on the market... He then told <strong>Lawlor</strong> he guarenteed he could beat <strong>Killjoy</strong> in even less time. The bell rang and <strong>Riddle</strong> immediately locked in the Bromission. <strong>Killjoy</strong> tapped out within 15 seconds and <strong>Riddle</strong> clearly won the challenge. <strong>Riddle and Lawlor</strong> had a brief staredown as Riddle said he'd take down <strong>Lawlor</strong> at the War of the Worlds Pay-Per-View, and next week they'll sign the contract.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we get a weird promo with <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong>. They see <strong>Kid Lykos</strong> in the locker-room and immediately begin discussing how wonderful his mask is and how they love "Dogs and Things"... It's a strange promo, very Dalton Castle-Esque, and in the end he says next week he'd like to defend his titles for the first time against this Dog-Boy and his friends. So next week it'll be <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys vs. Kid Lykos, Chris Brookes and Jonathan Gresham</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In a lucha-libre style flip-fest, <strong>Titan</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> in a bout that was fun and high-paced but otherwise uneventful. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> makes his way out to the ring and joins the commentary table for our main event. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> take on <strong>Marty Scurll and Cody</strong> in the main event. The main event was a solid bout, though it wasn't quite on the same level as the opening bout today. <strong>EVIL and SANADA</strong> came out on top when <strong>Cody</strong> left the apron and got into a heated argument with <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> down at the announce table. While this happened <strong>Scurll</strong> was defeated by <strong>SANADA</strong> who forced him to tap to the Skull-End. Post-match the announcers speculated that <strong>SANADA</strong> would now have a legitimate shot at challenging <strong>Scurll</strong> for the Television title.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV August Week 3, 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="3ynA4kD.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3ynA4kD.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> Pre-show, on the ROHWrestling.com War of the Worlds live stream, <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong> discuss <strong>Mark</strong>'s injury and the tag titles. They say ROH's executive office has told them they will need to defend the titles this month or they must vacate the title. <strong>Jay</strong> highlighted <em>Sandy Fork vs Everyone</em> never sleeps and that by any means necessary they will retain the titles.</p><p> </p><p> In the opening bout, <strong>War Machine</strong> defeated the <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong> in a very solid bout. Post-match, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong>'s frustrations boiled over as he shoved <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> squarely in the chest and screamed he had bigger things to do and walked out. <strong>Shelley</strong> looked confused, and the announcers speculated that we may have seen the last of the <strong>Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. We shall see. Meanwhile, <strong>War Machine</strong> seems to have positioned themselves as the top contender to the <strong>Briscoes</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Low-Ki</strong> comes down to the ring with a brace on his arm and says that at the <em>Rager at Sea</em> he proved that he was a better wrestler than <strong>Damien Martinez</strong>, but that <strong>Martinez</strong> cheap-shot post-match hyperextended his elbow. <strong>Low-Ki</strong> made it very clear that he doesn't take this post-match assault lightly and his doctor hasn't cleared him, but he doesn't care. At War of the Worlds he wants to face <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>, and teach him what Punishment truly is.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Titan</strong> carried <strong>Vinny Marseglia</strong> to a solid high-paced bout. With the victory <strong>Titan</strong> went to 2-0 on the War of the Worlds tour and looked to be primed for bigger things... that bigger thing appeared to be <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> as <strong>Briscoe</strong> made his way down and beat-down <strong>Titan</strong>. <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> grabbed the microphone and said he knew that <strong>Titan</strong> was hot-stuff down in Mexico but Ring of Honor officials have backed <strong>The Briscoes</strong> into a corner, and <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> doesn't get backed into a corner. He told <strong>Titan</strong> that at War of the Worlds, <strong>Titan</strong> needed to find a partner, because <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> would be defending the Tag Titles 2 on 1... It's Sandy Fork vs. Everyone and that will never change. Jay Briscoe refuses to let ROH Officials force he and his brother into vacating the tag titles. And when he defends it in a handicapped match he'll prove he's still the best in Ring of Honor.</p><p> </p><p> In a very below average match, <strong>Dalton Castle and The Boys</strong> defeated <strong>Kid Lykos, Chris Brookes and Jonathan Gresham</strong>. Castle and The Boys defended their titles for the first time and Gresham and friends looked disappointed. <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> made their way down again and once again made fun of <strong>Gresham</strong> and company, at War of the Worlds it'll be <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0 taking on Gresham, Lykos and Brookes</strong>. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> defeated <strong>"Tough" Tim Hughes</strong> in three minutes, tapping him out with the Bromission. <strong>Hughes</strong> gave it his all but stood no real chance against <strong>Riddle</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> came down to the ring and we had a good-old-fashioned UFC pose-down in the ring as <strong>Lawlor and Riddle</strong> signed a formal contract to face each other at War of the Worlds.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event: <strong>Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL and Rush</strong> defeated <strong>The Hung Bucks and Marty Scurll</strong>. This bout was a very very solid match which saw all eight men shine. The ending of the bout saw <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> hit the Meltzer Driver on <strong>EVIL</strong>, but <strong>Rush</strong> came in and hit an Exploder Suplex on <strong>Nick Jackson</strong>, followed by a release-German on <strong>Matt Jackson</strong>. <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong> hit Destino on <strong>Scurll</strong> and <strong>SANADA</strong> locked in the Skull-End on <strong>Hangman Page</strong> forcing him to tap as<strong> Los Ingobernables</strong> stood tall over the fallen <strong>Bullet Club</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest (Session Three, After Three of Five Events)</span></strong></p><p> Blodyxe: 9/10 + 8/10</p><p> TheFinalCountdown: 9/10 + 10/10 (Perfect Score)</p><p> DGenerationMC: 9/10 + 8/10</p><p> The Lariat: 7/10</p><p> BHK1978: 6/10 + 8/10</p><p> Kijar: 4/10 + 7/10</p><p> Powerbrock100: 7/10</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Comments:</strong></p><p> TFC with the perfect score, nicely done.</p><p> I have some plans for the guys you mentioned BHK1978 (Sabin and Gordon) and I think they'll begin to become clear at this PPV.</p><p> </p><p> ----------------------------------------------------------------------------</p>

While Doctors haven't confirmed the severity of the injury it is suspected that Mark will miss 6-8 weeks while recovering. The Briscoes were last seen on ROH programming proclaiming they were the best in the world and would go anywhere in the world for a fight, unfortunately it appears the fight took one out. Speaking for his brother,<strong> Jay Briscoe</strong> issued a statement saying that, this is only a minor set-back on the path to destiny. Everything remains the same, it is still Sandy Fork vs. Everybody and the Briscoes have no intention of just handing the titles over. In fact Jay promised that the brothers impact will still be felt this tour. What that means, we will just have to wait and see.</p><p> </p><p> We will see what Ring of Honor officials have to say, but we do know that they are currently scrambling to determine the best scenario for moving forward with the tag titles. Tune in to ROH TV and see what transpires next!</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> Small update here, definitely disappointing injury, but it actually will work out in the end as it gives us a new path for Death Before Dishonor. Had to make some modifications to the PPV card, but all things considered wasn't that bad. Should be posting the tv shows in the next day. I actually really like when the AI ruins plans, keeps you on your toes.</p>

There are obviously some storylines tied into these matches and other angles that will play into the PPV. So this is a solid build-up in my mind. With the War of the Worlds Tours there is an effort to build-up both our product and our partners, keep that in mind when predicting.</p><p> </p><p> These ten matches will make up the second predictions for the third session. This "session" will end with our September PPV; Death Before Dishonor.</p>

With only one week of television before the next session of War of the Worlds, we looked to build some storylines during this show. Once again we were hampered by the CEO's new request to make sure there is a Technical Masterclass bout on each show... seriously Cary.</p><p> </p><p> We took to the air with the winner of the Sea of Honor tournament <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> coming to the ring. He mentioned his successful month and his conquest of <strong>Low-Ki</strong> the month prior. He said he wasn't waiting to cash in his prize, he wants <strong>Cody</strong> at War of the Worlds later this month. <strong>Cody</strong> comes out and cuts a promo about how <strong>Lethal</strong> has climbed the mountain, but he'll fall right back down it. In three weeks time, they'll do battle.</p><p> </p><p> Our first televised bout of August saw <strong>Odinson and Matt Taven</strong>, fresh off a month with CMLL, annihilate <strong>Good Burger</strong> (Cheeseburger and Josh "The Goods" Woods). <strong>Odinson and Woods</strong> had a brief power exchange, but outside of that this one was one-sided.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match <strong>Taven</strong> tells the audience how he and <strong>Odinson</strong> dominated Mexico for the entire month of July, and that CMLL would be afraid to send any true challengers over to face them, but that the Mexican promotion should be afraid because <em>"The End"</em> is near.</p><p> </p><p> We then swung it to an 10-man tag that saw <strong>The Dawgs, TK O'Ryan + Shane Taylor and Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeat <strong>Jay White, Coast 2 Coast and the Motor City Machine Guns</strong>. The finish came when <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> tagged in <strong>Shaheem Ali</strong> instead of <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> and <strong>Ali</strong> ultimately was beaten down by <strong>Martinez</strong>. Post-match <strong>Shelley and Sabin</strong> argued a bit, but seemed to have everything resolved as they left.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> was out next, he faced <em>Local Talent</em> <strong>Raphael King</strong>, and made him tap out in under two minutes. </p><p> </p><p> We were shown a hype video hyping <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> and his recent performances. The announcers put him over as a big threat to the roster.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>, flanked by <strong>Rocky Romero and Frankie Kazarian</strong>, defeated <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in a match that really fell flat. Post-match, <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> antagonized <strong>Gresham</strong>, but ultimately didn't beat him down, saying he was a loser with no real friends.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> defended his Television Title against <strong>Silas Young</strong>. <strong>Young</strong> has been languishing in the lower mid card for last few months and a poor performance here likely won't help him.</p><p> </p><p> Next week the War of the Worlds (CMLL, NJPW, RPW) tour begins!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------</p><p> With the next set of a War of the Worlds tour upon us, I'll post the cards for the two televised shows in the upcoming post. If your curious who is participating check-out the post above this one. </p><p> </p><p> We just suffered a big injury to one of our workers while he was working for another promotion and that is forcing me to rethink some bouts, but that's a big perk of this game!</p>

Together they've held tag titles all over Europe, and even with Combat Zone Wrestling, so these guys will be a familiar face to diehards in the Tristate area. <strong>Brookes</strong> even has experience teaming with Ring of Honor's <strong>Jonathan Gresham</strong> in Germany's WXW.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Matt Riddle</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="FVtMGBd.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FVtMGBd.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> The Super King of Bros, <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> burst onto the scene in 2008 on The Ultimate Fighter 7, after leaving the UFC, <strong>Riddle</strong> turned his attention to professional wrestling. Over the last few years <strong>Riddle</strong> has been named Wrestling Observer's Rookie of the Year and Most Improved Wrestler. Now the Indy Darling joins Ring of Honor for the War of the Worlds tour.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre</span></strong> </p><p> The dominant force in Lucha Libre and a strong partner with Ring of Honor for a number of years. Shockingly, <strong>Rush</strong> hasn't made much of a mark in America, making only sporadic appearances for small companies in Atlanta and Nashville. With this tour, all of America will see what the rest of the world already knows, <strong>Rush</strong> is one of the worlds best and most ruthless talents.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Japan Pro Wrestling</span></strong></p><p> Our strongest partner, NJPW once again sends us three of its best talents. A veteran of Ring of Honor dating back to his excursions in 2014-2015, <strong>EVIL</strong> and partner <strong>SANADA</strong> held the IWGP Tag Titles until last week when they were upset by Roppongi 3K. Out for revenge, we expect the coming weeks to be messy for whomever crosses the path of the <strong>"Cold Skull" SANADA and EVIL</strong>. Despite the disappointment of losing the tag titles, <strong>SANADA</strong> has had some individual success recently, finishing as the runner-up in the G1 Climax earlier this month.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote>

  17. <p>Just thought about this while booking a tournament...</p><p> </p><p> If a worker is injured in the first match and you book him in two-three more will just take a huge penalty?</p><p> </p><p> Maybe a future thought, but allow injured workers booked for later portions of the show to be rebooked on the fly.</p>

They also jointly laughed at the fact that <strong>Heath Slater</strong> was the current US Champion and lamented that <strong>Rusev</strong> lost the World Heavyweight title to <strong>Dolph Ziggler</strong> in late April saying that <strong>Rusev</strong> had built the momentum necessary to sustain a great run only to have it pried from his hands. Before moving on <strong>Lance Storm</strong> mentioned that he expected to see the recently released <strong>Natalya and Naomi</strong> both land with a company that wants to push a women's division and said Ring of Honor might be a future destination.</p><p> </p><p> Up next they ran down <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Impact! Wrestling</span></strong>, a company that Don is certainly familiar with considering he is working with them in an executive, off-screen, role. They mentioned that <strong>Lashley</strong> has been a successful figurehead for the company and a driving force behind their success here in 2018. They mentioned that the new ownership has now been fully in-charge for nearly a year and the results are a product that people are enjoying. <strong>Callis</strong> went as far as saying he felt like it was challenging <em>New Japan</em> as the second-most popular company in the world. They mentioned that the companies decision to push <strong>James Storm</strong> as the Global Heavyweight champion has paid dividends and said that his current feud with <strong>Eddie Edwards</strong> was making for compelling TV. They also took time to highlight the tag champions, The Saints of the Damned, <strong>Johnny Impact and Sonjay Dutt</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> As for <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">New Japan</span></strong> they said they loved the company and continual focus on the in-ring aspects, but <strong>Storm and Callis</strong> both did question the decision to push <strong>Hiroshi Tanahashi</strong> as the figurehead saying they felt that <strong>Okada and Naito</strong> both were better "faces" of the company than <strong>Tanahashi,</strong> though not willing to take anything away from Tana. In fact <strong>Naito</strong> won the IWGP World title at Wrestle Kingdom from <strong>Okada</strong>. <strong>Okada</strong> proceeded to end the year-long IWGP Intercontinental title reign of <strong>Tanahashi</strong> last month only to see <strong>Tanahashi</strong> win it back earlier this month. They were both excited for the upcoming G1 Climax, which will take place next month, and speculated that with the <strong>Ring of Honor, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre, Revolution Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling</strong>'s upcoming War of the Worlds tour coming up that ROH might send a big-name to participate in the <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">G1!</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> The final company they highlighted is the number one Lucha Libre brand in the world and the Mexican partner of Ring of Honor, <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre</span></strong> (CMLL). Knowing that CMLL will be participating in the three show War of the World's tour next month Callis and Storm highlighted some of the names having big success down there. <strong>Titan</strong>, a young high-flier who participated with Ring of Honor last year, has continued to have a strong year, winning the CMLL World Middleweight title in July. The former Sin Cara in WWE, now known as <strong>Caristico</strong> was also highlighted. They also took time to highlight the young, raging bull, <strong>Gran Guerrero</strong>, and speculated that he might make an appearance next month. They also mentioned that <strong>Matt Taven and Odinson</strong> spent the month of July in Mexico and brought some destructive force to CMLL.</p><p> </p><p> They were then joined by <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> who spent the beginning of his segment reliving the glory days with <strong>Lance Storm</strong> when they teamed as the Thrill Seekers. <strong>Jericho</strong> then got serious and said that <strong>Cody</strong>'s time as Ring of Honor champion would soon be over. They continued to chat as <strong>Low-Ki and Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> made their entrances.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Sea of Honor First Round</em></p><p> <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. Low-Ki</strong></p><p> <img alt="CQvreaf.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CQvreaf.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>VS</strong><img alt="tQ0mLbb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/tQ0mLbb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> The World Warrior wouldn't back down from <strong>Damien</strong>, and <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>'s masterplan to exorcise wrestler's like <strong>Low-Ki</strong> from Ring of Honor was quelled by <strong>Low-Ki</strong>'s ability to neutralize the majority of <strong>Martinez</strong>' attacks. The fans went nuts, and <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> came out to a huge applause. The applause only got louder when the Guest Referee: <strong>Diamond Dallas Page</strong> made his entrance.</p><p> </p><p> The bout itself was a solid one, <strong>The Boys</strong> are by no means on the same level but the sell extremely well and actually provided some offense. When the going got rough, <strong>Dalton</strong> suddenly began channeling some of his new found yoga and this resulted in a brief comedy bit with <strong>DDP and Dalton</strong> doing some <strong>DDP Yoga</strong> moves in the ring. <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> wanted nothing to do with this and <strong>Daniels</strong> knocked <strong>Castle</strong> out of his downward dog position and began laying into him. <strong>DDP</strong> then scolded <strong>Daniels</strong> and warned him that he'd feel the bang if he continued to toy with a man's inner-zen. <strong>Castle</strong>, some expecting a melt-down, seemed motivated to impress <strong>DDP</strong> and took matters into his own hands. Suddenly he was throwing moves left and right, including an impressive Deadlift Suplex. <strong>Rocky Romero</strong>, sensing a potential defeat grabbed his title and slid into the ring while <strong>DDP</strong> was busy with <strong>Kazarian</strong> in the corner and clocked <strong>Brent Tate</strong>, AKA Boy #1. Thankfully for <strong>Brent</strong>, his identical twin brother <strong>Brandon</strong>, rolled him out of the ring... sensing something was amiss <strong>DDP</strong> turned around and went to ringside to talk with <strong>The Boys</strong>. This again allowed <strong>Romero</strong> to take advantage, clocking <strong>Castle</strong> with the belt and preventing further damage to <strong>Daniels</strong>. As <strong>DDP</strong> got the story from <strong>The Boys, Romero, Daniels and Kazarian</strong> worked over <strong>Castle</strong>. The match started slow, with a lot of gesturing and posturing like a classic main event. Both men then got into the meat of the match and we saw a number of signature spots from both men. At one point the match spilled from the ring and <strong>Jericho and Cody</strong> went at it along the pool deck. Hanson and Low-Ki were both injured in their first round matches... yay tournaments. Neither will miss much time but in severely impacted their second round matches. Jericho underperformed in the ring and in his three appearances with me. I'm curious if it there was some drinking issue there, or simply old age, but that was definitely disappointing.</p><p> </p><p> I seriously debated making Dalton Castle use his CHIKARA Ashley Remington character (Boat Captain) for this show and moving forward, but opted against it. I like the direction and I think this will open up some things for everyone.</p><p> </p><p> Definitely disappointed with the show ratings as a whole. The Podcast segments really boosted us up though. Foley and The Briscoes (B+) for example. Konnan and The Young Bucks/Scurll (B-).</p><p> </p><p> Glad people seemed to agree it was a good time for Dalton to get a win... I'm hoping he and The Boys will keep improving in-ring as champs.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>TheLariat</strong>: I'm a pretty big Sabin fan too, but I struggle a bit with a character for him. He and Shelley might have some tension, so let's see where that goes ;-).</p><p> </p><p> I'm with you <strong>TFC</strong>, the WrestleKingdom match really made me remember why I used to love (and love to hate) Jericho. I even went back and pulled up some of his early WCW and SMW stuff (it is gold if anyone with the network needs something to watch). Unfortunately he just didn't perform well here. Which sucked. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>BHK1978</strong>: I actually really did debate making it a Low-Ki vs. Lethal final, but knowing I'd get dinged for repeat match (again) opted against it. And then I got "lucky" that Low-Ki got hurt.</p><p> </p><p> With August around the corner I have only one TV show before we hit the next batch of the War of the Worlds (without distribution in the UK I'm thinking I'll host it in America/Canada as I would draw maybe 300 people otherwise... but that's still up in the air mentally). This segment of the War of the Worlds will feature NJPW, RPW and CMLL superstars and will be two televised shows and one PPV. The build-up for it will begin in the next posts. This one is smaller that the May set and the October set, but it's always fun to bring some fresh names in. Tentatively I'm planning to bring in three RPW guys, four/five NJPW and two/three CMLL guys. </p><p> </p><p> I will say that this tour will bring some of the Lower Midcard/Midcard guys into the story better than the May tour did (in my opinion).</p><p> </p><p> I hope the Killing The Town Podcast Segment helped shine some light into what's going on in the big three/four companies around the world... Been relatively boring around the world so far.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Feel free to suggest some names if there is anyone your interested in seeing.</span></strong></p>

Before we went live <strong>Josh "The Goods" Woods</strong> and <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> defeated <strong>TK O'Ryan and Shane Taylor</strong>. Post-match <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> announced he and <strong>Woods</strong> were a team, <strong>Good Burger</strong>!</p><p> </p><p> As we went live, <strong>Cody and Brandi Rhodes</strong> made an immediate appearance. <strong>Cody</strong> discussed his successful title defense, and how he is the greatest Ring of Honor World Champion ever. He says that at the Sea of Honor he will put the title up again, but more importantly his smoking hot wife will defend her title against <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>. Deonna comes out and interrupts, saying that <strong>Brandi</strong> should speak for herself and that at Sea of Honor there will be a new Women in Charge, and her name is <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Our first bout was a Sea of Honor Tournament qualifier. <strong>The Best Friends</strong> fought each other with <strong>Beretta</strong> defeating <strong>Chuckie T</strong> to earn the opportunity. The match was what you'd expect out of the partners, many hugs, pauses and high-fives, but ultimately they did fight a good clean bout. Post-match they hugged and celebrated as if they both won... It was a bit strange.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> is seen backstage, sipping martinis and getting ready for a match. When they see the cameraman they cut a promo saying that tonight <strong>Daniels</strong> will qualify for the Sea of Honor tournament by winning the Main Event, and next week <strong>Kazarian</strong> will get his spot as well.</p><p> </p><p> In another Sea of Honor qualifying bout <strong>Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong> defeated <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>. Post-match, <strong>BJ Whitmer, Priscilla Kelly and Damien</strong> proclaimed that the Sea of Honor tournament will be theirs and <strong>Damien</strong> will cleanse the seas of everyone.</p><p> </p><p> We got a video recapping the Best In The World PPV, it highlighted the <strong>Briscoes vs. Young Bucks</strong> bout in particular and said it tore the roof off.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, and another Sea of Honor Qualifier, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> defeated <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>. Daniels age is beginning to show a bit in singles contests, but Ospreay really shined and demonstrated why he is a future star.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>ROH TV, July Week 2</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="duArS7O.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/duArS7O.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Pre-show in a Women of Honor bout: <strong>Deonna Purrazzo, Scarlett Bourdeaux and Mandy Leon</strong> defeated <strong>Brandi Rhodes, Kelly Klein and Jessie Brooks</strong>. Brandi refused to tag-in and this was basically a 3-on-2 handicap bout. <strong>Deonna</strong> seemed frustrated with being on the pre-show and phoned in her performance here.</p><p> </p><p> The show kicked off with the newly formed<strong> Good Burger</strong> team (Josh "The Goods" Woods and Cheeseburger) defeating <strong>Tough Guy Inc.</strong></p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> cuts a promo saying the last month and half he battled <strong>Low-Ki</strong> in the Honor Series and his victory in that series proves that he is not only ready, but capable of defeating anyone in the world. At Sea of Honor he'll defeat three men, and win the right to fight for the World Title.</p><p> </p><p> In a quick squash <strong>"Filthy" Tom Lawlor</strong> made <em>Local Talent</em>, <strong>DeSean Pratt</strong> tap out immediately following the bell. </p><p> </p><p> Backstage <strong>The Hung Bucks</strong> are seen talking, they announce that <strong>Hangman Page</strong> will get the opportunity to qualify for the Sea of Honor tournament on their behalf next week!</p><p> </p><p> In a Sea of Honor qualifier that fell flat, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> defeated <strong>Frankie Kazarian</strong>. The <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> team has now gone 0-2 in their attempts to qualify for the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage the Tag Champion <strong>Briscoes</strong> determine that <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> will get the opportunity to qualify for the tournament.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Hanson</strong> defeated <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong>. This was a solid, though not spectacular, bout between two tag-team specialists. <strong>Hanson</strong> got the win and certainly will put War Machine back in the picture for a tag title shot in the future.</p><p> </p><p> The show ended with <strong>Cody</strong> coming out and saying that he was still waiting for a challenger for the main event of Sea of Honor. He was cut off by a cryptic video...</p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="280" height="130" src="<a href="https://www.youtube.com/embed/S14HIjz7_dU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0" rel="external nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/embed/S14HIjz7_dU?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0"</a> frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------</p><p> Couple Notes: </p><p> </p><p> Our CEO Cary Silkin has requested we put one Technical Masterclass bout on per show and we are struggling to find the right place for these bouts.</p><p> </p><p> My top stars are primarily tag guys, and with this tournament being a one-off I didn't want it to just feature tag guys so I decided that with the exception of SoCal Uncensored having two shots at qualifying and The Best Friends facing each other to qualify, all my other primary teams (Briscoes, Hung Bucks, War Machine, MCMG) would determine one of the partners to attempt to qualify.</p><p> </p><p> The next post (likely in a couple days) will be Week 3 and 4 of TV, building to the Sea of Honor tournament. So far we know, Hanson, Low-Ki, Will Ospreay, Jay Lethal, Damien "Punishment" Martinez and Beretta are qualified.</p><p> </p><p> Two more qualifiers to go!</p><p> </p><p> Plus, I think the Main Event for Sea of Honor is clear now ;-)</p>

I'll be honest, I debated just firing all of the Women because they have no direction and with only an hour show I have a hard enough time fitting them into the show, they tend to be relegated to ROHWrestling.com (Pre-Show) exclusives, which I suppose is fairly accurate in reality. I also don't know most of the girls so I rely a lot on Youtube for some basic idea. I think the post-match beat-down will at least set-up a sort of storyline, though it'll be probably be primarily on the pre-show. Mandy Leon I knew but for the Battle Royal I honestly let the AI pick the results so I could develop some stories. Scarlett dominated, so that's positive. Deonna Purrazzo dates Marty Scurll IRL, so hey... Coast 2 Coast, Leon St. Giovanni and Shaheem Ali are ROH DOJO grads who I thought were very vanilla watching them online but I saw them in person last month and was actually impressed with their athleticism. My original plan a few game months ago was for Ali to turn on LSG and go on a bit of a Heel run, but I need more faces so I kept them together. Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor, well originally I was going to re-sign Coleman just to be a manager of Shaheem Ali, but then the owner blocked it because Coleman was too old.... then suddenly I got an email informing me the owner resigned Coleman and as a wrestler. So hey, I'll use him and give Shane Taylor and now TK O'Ryan something to do. The Lariat: Welcome, I really could develop SoCal Uncensored 2.0 a bit better and frankly I don't love Trios titles, but I think they make it work. Blodyxe: Castle's tanking continued indeed, but there is a pay-off coming. Plus The Boys got a vacation out of it. Up-Next I'll post a mid-year review, and the details for the Chris Jericho Rager at Sea PPV coming up in the next month. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24. What a show! Masterful work, as always. Wouldn't have thought about Goldberg coming back, love it. Thinking Rey might stick around, but who knows!
  25. ROH TV June 2018 Week 3 and Week 4 and BEST IN THE WORLD PPV Preview ROH TV, June 2018 Week 3 ----------------------------------------------------- ROH TV, June 2018 Week 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ring of Honor: Best In The World PPV Preview ------------------------------------------------------------------ Quick comments: This set of predictions will conclude the second session of picks. Post-PPV I will PM the winner his prize (hint: it will involve the upcoming Chris Jericho Rager at Sea Pay-Per-View), I will also update the overall standings for the end of the year cumulative prize. The repetition penalty really sucked the life out of the main event in Week 4, I fear for what it will do to the bout on the PPV, but oh well. Cary Silkin, the CEO, is tinkering with our product and forcing us to adjust some of the styles we book normally. It's a good challenge. Trying hard to engage more of the lower card in the next few months. Some guys have been utter-flops, but I'm working on stories for them anyhow! Thank you all for the support, nomination and votes in the Diary of the Month contest. Sincerely an honor to be even considered for it. There are some phenomenal diaries on this board and I'm glad to be a very small part of an awesome community. This is easily the most fun I've had with a brand.
