  1. <p>Ring of Honor Television December Week 4, 2018</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;">Ring of Honor Television, December Week 4, 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Hot on the heels of <strong>Final Battle</strong>, our final episode of ROH TV for 2018 was aired.</p><p> </p><p> In this episode we saw primarily things that wrapped up the 2018 year and prepared us to turn the calendar and head into the year of 2019...and the Top Prospect Tournament!</p><p> </p><p> The show opened with <strong>Royalty</strong> cutting a promo about how 2018 was their year and how 2019 will be no different. Before <strong>Cody</strong> can continue to spew his non-sense, <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> arrive on the scene. <strong>Nick</strong> is still on crutches, but <strong>Matt</strong> is his usual perky self. Matt said that he'd heard enough of the <strong>Royalty's</strong> election speech and that 2018 should end with <strong>Matt Jackson</strong>, and the returning <strong>Hangman Page</strong>, defeating the ROH World and ROH Television champions in the middle of the ring...</p><p> </p><p> In our first bout, <strong>Odinson and Hammerstone</strong>, <em>The End</em>, our new Six-Man Tag Champions, not only took on, but defeated <strong>War Machine</strong> in a solid opening bout between two teams that tip the scales. Post-Match, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> joined in as the <strong>The End</strong> officially ended <strong>War Machine</strong>'s time with Ring of Honor... More on that in the next installment of Honor Club monthly.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Austin Aries</strong> grabs a passing by assistant and demands she ask him questions... the assistant looks confused, so <strong>Aries</strong> just begins to spew a promo at the nearby camera. He says that Ring of Honor has been nothing but disrespectful to him since his return. He says that <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> got lucky and that tonight he'll prove that by beating... just then <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> walks into the frame and says, how about me... Beat me. <strong><em>Shelley vs. Aries</em></strong> is signed for the Main Event to send 2018 off the air.</p><p> </p><p> Before the next bout gets underway, <strong>Cody </strong>comes out to the ring in a full suit. He says he has some business to attend to, so he regrets to inform <strong>Matt Jackson and Hangman Page</strong> that he won't be able to participate, but that <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> will happily take his place... with that <strong>Sabin and Scurll</strong> enter the ring...</p><p> </p><p> Back from break <strong>Chris Sabin and Marty Scurll</strong> faced off against <strong>Matt Jackson and Hangman Page</strong>. <strong>Page</strong> is returning from an injury suffered at Survival of the Fittest and looks to be a bit hesitant, this ultimately costs him as <strong>Sabin </strong>catches him off guard and hits the Cradle Shock in what wound up being the Match of the Night.</p><p> </p><p> Prior to the Main Event we get a promo for a debuting star.......</p><p> </p><p> "<em>A New Force Is Coming to Ring of Honor... Im 2019, gale-force winds promise to destroy anyone in his path. This man is a world-class wrestler. This man has dominated the globe. In 2019, Honor over Everything... In 2019, He'll Conquer Ring of Honor.</em>" The faint sound of drums are heard as flames lightly flicker in the background of the video as the promo cuts out and we head to the ring for the main event.</p><p> </p><p> Our main event saw <strong>Alex Shelley defeat Austin Aries</strong>. Both men lost at Final Battle and this was a chance to end 2018 on a high note. For <strong>Shelley</strong> this meant taking advantage of the visibly distracted <strong>Aries</strong>. This match actually disappointed considering who was in it. <strong>Aries</strong> has been frustrated during his recent stint, and thus <strong>Shelley</strong> getting the win, via Border City Stretch, made the most sense...</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> Thank you to the seven predictors during Final Battle... No one managed to get the pre-show match correct... and in fairness I wouldn't have either... I forgot to book the winner.... Oh well... This actually fits into the story better. Overall I'm happy to see there are still surprises here! The results are below, congrats to <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Powerbrock100</span></strong> for the clear victory here. I'll PM you a prize tomorrow:</p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>Forrest01: 4/10<br /></li><li>Destiny: 5/10<br /></li><li>The Lariat: 5/10<br /></li><li>Blodyxe: 5/10<br /></li><li>Powerbrock100: 7/10<br /></li><li>GreggyB: 4/10<br /></li><li>BHK1978: 5/10<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> Overall for 2018 here is the final result of the prediction contest (I may have screwed this up, so feel free to check my work if your so inclined...... Special Thanks to <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">BHK1978</span></strong> for making the most predictions...And good thing you did as you inched out <strong>DGenerationMC</strong> by 1 for the outright title, you as well will receive a PM with a prize notification that should help shape some of 2019. 3. <p>Was a tough choice between the modernized "old" WCW and the WWF's version of it, but I went with the WWF's version. It resonates with me.</p><p> </p><p> Love this diary, just read through it now and I love the realistic direction.</p><p> </p><p> I believe it was Kijar who said it earlier, but I'll second it, I love the classic names heading into development... two of my favorites... "Mr 630" and "The Alpha Male"... Really fun read.</p>
  4. <p>Ring of Honor: Final Battle 2018</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Honor Club Exclusive Kickoff Match: Colt Cabana and Flip Gordon vs. The Dawgs vs. The Best Friends</strong></p><p> </p><p> The Best Friends have been a bit of an afterthought in the tag division despite strong performances overseas. Flip Gordon and Colt Cabana are a makeshift team, but one with designs on ending 2018 on a high note. And of course, the always annoying Will Ferrara and Rhett Titus, The Dawgs are here as well to serve as spoilers. The bout which wrapped the Honor Club coverage up was a fun three-team bout that saw a surprising amount of athleticism displayed by 5 of the six combatants. The ending sequence was a really fun back and forth that saw Rhett Titus, throw his partner Ferrara like a lawn dart into the chest of Barreta, causing him to stumble back and knock Chuckie T off the apron. While Barreta and Ferrara were tied up in the corner post-collision, Cabana hit a running bulldog onto Titus, leaving him prone in the middle of the ring, and allowing Flip Gordon to hit a beautiful shooting star press onto Titus for the 1-2-3. </p><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Winners: Flip Gordon and Colt Cabana</strong></span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="RESEM56858finalbattle2016.jpg" data-src="https://www.solowrestling.com/uploads/RESEM56858finalbattle2016.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Ring of Honor Final Battle 2018</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong> LIVE from New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong> Announcers: Ian Riccaboni and AJ Kirsch</strong></span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The show opens with a video montage of the 2018 year. Prior to the bout starting we get a brief cut-away video with Lethal and Low-Ki discussing their mutual respect and how as a team they have their eyes set on the gold. The cameraman asks if they have a team name, and Low-Ki snarls, No Gimmicks Needed, we just want the belts... Well it seems he's named the team as Riccaboni immediately begins referring to them as No Gimmicks Needed. This one was hard-hitting and right from the start got the crowd popping. There was no love-lost here and all four men went at it with no regards for their bodies. We saw several near-falls including Jay Briscoe nailing the J-Driller on Lethal, only for Low-Ki to land a huge Ghetto Stomp from the top to break-up the pin... and subsequently crush both Jay's. This gave Mark Briscoe an opening, but Low-Ki slid out of a gut-wrench attempt and countered it with a Ki-Krusher 99. </p><p> </p><p> Rather than going for the cover though, Ki turned around and tossed Jay Briscoe out of the ring. Lethal, now up to his feet saw the prone Mark Briscoe slowly getting to his knees and nailed a flying knee to the back of his skull... he rolled Mark over and Low-Ki piled on top of Jay Lethal as the former rivals became the new Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions. For Jay Lethal thus completing the Grand Slam of Ring of Honor titles.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners, And NEW Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions: No Gimmicks Needed, Jay Lethal and Low-Ki</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-Match, The Briscoe Brothers slid into the ring, but there was no nefarious meaning to it, they offered their hands and abided by the Code of Honor. Streamers rained down as the show was off to an incredible start.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Ring of Honor Television Title</em></p><p> <strong>Marty Scurll {C} vs. Will Ospreay</strong></p><p> <img alt="NXdcx8x.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NXdcx8x.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OkoebUA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OkoebUA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Royalty's resident Villain doing battle with long-time rival, and the runner-up at Survival of the Fittest, Will Ospreay was another banger of a match to start the show. These two rivals have done battle for the TV title before, with both men claiming victories and holding the title at various points. This bout may have been their best encounter yet. The already hot crowd was in for another treat as both Scurll and Ospreay delivered. This one went nearly ten minutes before we even saw the first pinfall attempt. Scurll and Ospreay also surprised the crowd with a technical bout for the first-half before Ospreay began to take flight and use his speed to his advantage. Scurll though sought to counter the speed advantage by keeping Ospreay grounded and going for the knees at all opportunities. In the end he was able to clip Ospreay's wings and lock him into the Crossface Chicken-Wing for the submission victory and successful title defense.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner and STILL Ring of Honor Television Champ: "The Villain" Marty Scurll</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Backstage we see Matt and Nick Jackson, Matt mentions that tonight was originally scheduled to be a tag bout, but Nick has been taken out of commission and will be out of action for at least a month. Dashwood and Neidhart increased the profile of the title, and had a great bout at Global Wars. This rematch underwhelmed a bit, but it set the foundation for the potential growth of the division in 2019. During the bout Ian Riccaboni mentioned that Ring of Honor officials have recently been in contact with some of the best women's wrestlers in the world and that Ring of Honor expects the WoH division to continue to flourish in 2019. In the ring Nattie Neidhart defended her title, forcing Dashwood to once again submit to the Sharpshooter.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner, AND STILL Women of Honor Champion: Nattie Neidhart</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We then got an Alex Shelley video package that highlighted his year and his climb to earn this opportunity at winning the Ring of Honor World title for the first time. Daniels, Kazarian and Romero certainly held the experience edge with a combined 66 years of in-ring experience. In fact all three men were wrestling for ten plus years before Matt Taven started and Daniels had two years of experience before Odinson was even born... Despite this experience gap, Odinson and Hammerstone's strength was apparent from the start as they bullied Kazarian and Daniels around the ring. This forced SCU 2.0 to regroup and rethink their attack. Logically they got dirty, but Matt Taven seemed game and quickly this match devolved into a six-man all-out brawl. Official Paul Turner finally reestablished control and threatened to vacate the titles if SoCal Uncensored intentionally threw the bout. Daniels tagged in and went straight after Taven, but Taven ducked, hit a drop-kick and tagged in Odinson... Odinson lifted Daniels up to his shoulders and swung him wildly, tossing him to the outside. As he passed through the air Kazarian gamely made a tag and charged at Odinson, but Odinson tossed him over his shoulder. Romero entered without being tagged and met the same fate, landing on-top of Kazarian. Odinson lifted Romero and tossed him from the ring before lifting Kazarian, tagging in Hammerstone and hitting the Doubleteam maneuver known as The End. For the 1-2-3, we have new champions and they looked absolutely dominant.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners, and NEW Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Champions: The End and Matt Taven</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> As Taven and The End proudly celebrated in the ring, SoCal Uncensored 2.0 looked on, both confused and dismayed. Cameras captured Daniels asking Romero what happened and Kazarian just blankly staring into the void. Daniels says "I hate this town, let's go home" as SoCal Uncensored 2.0 walked behind the curtains.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Chris Sabin vs. Matt Jackson</strong></p><p> <img alt="odACYrQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/odACYrQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NEHdvLg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NEHdvLg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Our first non-title bout of the night saw two of the most popular wrestlers in Ring of Honor going one on one without any of their cohorts at ringside. This allowed both mens true talents to shine through, and while both are better known as Tag specialists these men put on quite the show in this singles bout, combining incredible aerial maneuvers with skilled chain wrestling to impress even the smarks. Kirsch on commentary kept wondering if the Royalty mystery man would make his mark, but true to the roots of Ring of Honor, this was a clean bout with great in-ring action. The finish saw Matt Jackson land a super kick to knock down Sabin, then climb to the top-rope and hit a massive corkscrew moonsault for the victory.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner: Matt Jackson</span></strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Backstage we got a typical Austin Aries rant promo. This was honestly more of a filler than anything. We had some plans for to move forward, but prior to show learned some of those pieces were leaving... oh well. That seemed to piss Castle off, as he went right after Aries and actually blooded him early in this bout. Aries seemed caught off guard by this version of Castle and started to walk out, only for The Boys to chase him back to the ring. Back in the ring Aries managed to regain some composure and took over for a good portion of the bout. Aries berated the fans for supporting someone like Castle, and arrogantly made a pinfall after a brainbuster but Castle kicked out at 2.75. Castle gathered momentum and swung the match in his favor, ultimately hitting the Bang-A-Rang for the semi-upset over Aries.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winner: Dalton Castle</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> After the match Castle taunted Aries and told him he WAS "The Greatest That Ever Lived" past-tense but that his career was soon to be over. A maniacal laugh was heard and then suddenly red balloons began to float down from the rafters. The lights went out and when they returned Vinny Marseglia and Damien "Pushiment" Martinez stood in the ring holding some of the balloons. Rowe and Hanson charged but Marseglia and Martinez were ready and the bout was underway. The announcers did their best to push why Marseglia and Martinez made sense as a team, and early on they showed surprising chemistry. Hanson and Rowe though held the advantage in experience and it showed as they managed to get the upper-hand for much of the match. Suddenly the tide turned when the screen lit up red and the words "HORROR KINGS" effectively bled through, causing a bit of confusion and allowing Damien Martinez to take flight. The big-man soaring through the air took Hanson and Rowe by surprise and swung the momentum to the Horror Kings side, and ultimately gave them the upset victory when Martinez hit the Straight to Hell Chokeslam on Rowe and made the cover.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Winners: Horror Kings, Damien "Punishment" Martinez and Vinny Marseglia</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-Match: Marseglia and Martinez looked to continue the assault but Hanson and Rowe got the upper-hand, tossing them into retreat. This is ROYALTY... This is CODY! </p><p> Cody and Royalty enter to a smattering of boos and cheers. The fans clearly respect him, but don't particularly like him.</p><p> </p><p> With the formal introductions out of the way this bout gets underway. Cody and Shelley tie-up to begin with Cody stepping on the backside of the knee and forcing Shelley to "bow" before him. Shelley is quickly back to his feet and begins to strike Cody, forcing him back into the corner. With him in the corner Chris Sabin hops onto the apron, but Shelley spits into his face, sending him off the apron. Brandi and Marty rush over to calm Sabin, and clean his face... as this is happening, Will Ospreay and Matt Jackson head down the aisle to keep the score even at ringside. Meanwhile back in the ring, Shelley is taking it to the champion, keeping him off his feet and grounded him with a variety of kicks and punches. Shelley goes for broke and rushes at Cody, but misses with a running knee. Cody takes advantage hitting a bulldog and working his way back to his feet. </p><p> </p><p> Riccaboni comments that Cody looks a bit out of sorts and Shelley clearly had him scouted well and thus Cody is needing to think on the fly... with that Cody snaps off a picture perfect Final Cut suplex. Lifted from the pages of Goldust. Shelley is down and Cody tosses him into the corner, he drapes his legs over the ropes....... Is he setting him up for the SHATTERED DREAMS!?! He backs away and Will Ospreay gamely throws Shelley's leg down... this prompts Scurll to run after him, but he's cut off by Matt Jackson, Chris Sabin comes into the picture and there is now mayhem at ringside. Cody orders that the referee throw everyone, including his partners out... but this is merely a distraction, as Cody sets Shelley up again and Brandi slides into the ring... SHATTERED DREAMS! Brandi Rhodes just nailed the Shattered Dreams on Alex Shelley... She slides out and heads up the ramp with the other members of Royalty as the ref seems to have control of the bout again. Shelley is now a rag-doll in the middle of the ring and Cody climbs the ropes... he goes for a top rope "Bionic" Elbow... but Shelley moves in the nick of time.</p><p> </p><p> Both men are down and fighting to get back to their fight... on their knees Shelley and Cody begin exchanging punches... Shelley is back up first and he hits a dropkick to floor Cody, who rolls out of the ring... Riccaboni comments that Turner has great feel and there is no way 2018 is ending in a double count-out.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the Ring, Shelley has Cody locked up and goes for the Shell Shock...but Cody counters it into his similar, Cross Rhodes... He nails it... and climbs on top of Shelley...</p><p> </p><p> 1</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 2</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 3</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The bell rings, Cody has retained. 5. Final Battle 2018 Preview Ring of Honor Final Battle 2018 Preview If anyone is still around from March this is the conclusion of the Year-Long Prediction Contest. If not, and this receives some level (say five or more) of participation I have a creative prize in mind involving the future of the roster... With that said, I'm simplifying this a bit (maybe less graphics, potentially graphics only for the major PPVs... who knows, just enjoying telling the story more than anything and with my time more limited I don't want to be hindered by some of the more fun elements... yes, I totally acknowledge this may cause a loss of interest... but if five months didn't kill interest then... hey). I've just rolled into January 2019 in game and have the Top Prospect Tournament up next... The game also dealt me a couple surprises and I dealt myself a couple as well to keep the game-world fresh... :-)
  6. <p>ROH TV Week 2 and Week 3, December 2018</p><p> </p><p> ***Well well well... I'm not leaving this story unfinished... after all the season finale is Final Battle and I was booked up to it anyhow. Tonight I'll post the final two shows leading into Final Battle. In the next week, I'll have a recap/preview post up for Final Battle. I'm sure things have changed in the last five months, but hey, this is all about fun and story-telling. These two recaps are no frills, no graphics. I'll potentially clean them up tomorrow when I post the preview for Final Battle***</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV Week 2, December 2018</span></span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> The show kicks off with a pre-taped promo from <strong>Royalty</strong> announcing the injury to the enforcer, <strong>Davey Boy Smith Jr.</strong>; <strong>Cody</strong> says this was a blow, but at Final Battle he has a trick up his sleeve and the bout between <strong>Chris Sabin and a partner</strong> against the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> is still on.</p><p> </p><p> In-ring, <strong>"Switchblade" Jay White</strong> took down the human wrecking ball <strong>Shane Taylor</strong>. <strong>Taylor</strong> hasn't found his footing, and <strong>Jay White</strong> has struggled to connect in America but NJPW fans recognize him as the reigning IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. Nice showcase for him here.</p><p> </p><p> As the match ended <strong>Kenny King</strong> came out and continued to pester <strong>White</strong>. <strong>White</strong> heard enough and bolted after <strong>King</strong>, unable to catch-up with him as <strong>King</strong> fled through the crowd, <strong>White</strong> formally told <strong>King</strong> that he will bleed him out at Final Battle.</p><p> </p><p> In Women's tag action <strong>Nattie Neidhart and Madison Rayne</strong> defeated <strong>Tenille Dashwood and Kelly Klein</strong>. <strong>Tenille</strong> walked out on <strong>Klein </strong>allowing <strong>Neidhart</strong> to make her tap in the middle of the ring. <strong>Neidhart</strong>, the Women of Honor champion, told <strong>Dashwood</strong> that real champions never back down from a fight, and at Final Battle, <strong>Dashwood</strong> will learn that a fighting champion always comes out on top.</p><p> </p><p> More tag action as <strong>War Machine</strong> easily annihilated <strong>The Dawgs</strong>. As the bell rang red balloons with the words "<em>Horror Kings</em>" fell from the ceiling slowly. <strong>Rowe and Hanson</strong> batted them aside as we went to break. </p><p> </p><p> Mid-break we cut back to the backstage area where <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> is being jumped by a lean, slender figure wearing a leather jacket. We can't see his face but you can tell he has short, potentially close-cropped hair... he flees the scene as <strong>Will Ospreay and The Young Bucks</strong> show up. Is this Royalty's newest member?!? Will <strong>Shelley</strong> be 100% for Final Battle?!</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Odinson and Hammerstone (The End)</strong> take home a potentially shocking victory defeating <strong>Kazarian and Daniels</strong> cleanly in the middle of the ring. The announce team hypes an explosive eight-man tag main event between <strong>The Briscoes, Marty Scurll, and Chris Sabin taking on The Young Bucks, Jay Lethal and Low-Ki.</strong></p><p> </p><p> In the opening bout <strong>Kenny King</strong> took down <strong>Shaheem Ali</strong> in a quick contest. <strong>King</strong> is prancing about the ring celebrating when <strong>Jay White</strong> slides in from behind and hits the Switchblade leaving <strong>King</strong> out-cold in the middle of the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>War Machine</strong> cut a promo demanding to know who it is playing these tricks on them with the red balloons. They say they aren't afraid of "IT", they aren't afraid of monsters under their bed... so whoever these cowards are better step-out at Final Battle because <strong>War Machine</strong> has a bone to pick.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Austin Aries</strong> made a surprise return last month during the Honor Rumble and tonight he was seen in his first singles bout (he faced The Boys in a handicapped match a few weeks back). Taking on <strong>Leon St. Giovanni</strong>, <strong>Austin Aries</strong> made quick work of the young <strong>LSG</strong>. Post-match, <strong>Aries</strong> immediately took to harassing <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> saying that at this time last year <strong>Castle</strong> was winning the World Title whereas this year he's merely fighting to be on the card. <strong>Aries</strong> says at Final Battle, he'll gladly make <strong>Castle</strong> a main attraction once again... but this time it'll be for all the wrong reasons...</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Marty Scurll, Chris Sabin and The Briscoes went to a double count-out with The Young Bucks, Low-Ki and Jay Lethal</strong>, but not before all eight men hit some signature spots and got the fans electric. In the end it was an all-out brawl that left the ring and forced the official to call for the bell. <strong>Cody</strong> joined in making it a five on four but only for a few moments as <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> ran down to even the score... it appears the new member from last week didn't make it here tonight...will he show at Final Battle!?... These teams didn't stop brawling as<strong> Ian Riccaboni</strong> sent us off the air with a classic WCW call of "Tapes are rolling we'll see you at Final Battle 2018"</p><p> </p></div></blockquote>

He points out that <strong>Davey Boy</strong> still won the match. He says <strong>Royalty</strong> will continue to conquer the globe, and that this is only a small blip in the bigger picture. He says the loss of the Enforcer of <strong>Royalty</strong> is painful, but that it doesn't change anything. <strong>Royalty</strong> are still the Kings of Ring of Honor and at Final Battle, you will see that Royalty can adapt on the fly... <strong>The Young Bucks </strong>were anticipating facing <strong>Chris Sabin and Davey Boy Smith Jr</strong>... well they can still anticipate facing <strong>Sabin</strong>, but <strong>Sabin</strong>'s partner... well... he will remain a mystery until the second he comes down that aisle.</p>

Our hosts, <strong>Ian Riccaboni and AJ Kirsch</strong>, join us on the screen and announce that tonight we'll have a group of matches, highlights and exclusives from around the world... With that we kick it out to the first match.</p><p> </p><p> In our opening bout, <strong>Will Ferrara</strong> shocked the world and defeated <strong>Colt Cabana</strong>. <strong>Cabana</strong>'s return to ROH at the Honor Rumble was a fun surprise, but he was unceremoniously dumped from the match by <strong>Will Ferrara</strong>. After the match, <strong>Cabana</strong> told <strong>Ferrara</strong> that he was calling out "<strong>The Dawgs</strong>" for our Honor Club Main Event, and he had just the partner in mind...</p><p> </p><p> Our first Women of Honor exclusive bout saw <strong>Madison Rayne</strong> defeat <strong>Deonna Purrazzo</strong>. She won with the Big Boot to the face, and showed us why, despite taking the loss at Survival of the Fittest, she'll be a competitor worth keeping an eye on.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Riccaboni and Kirsch</strong> walked us through some highlights from the Survival of the Fittest next. The highlighted the following...</p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>Raymond Rowe scoring his first victory with an explosive reversal on Will Ospreay<br /></li><li>Jay Lethal and Jay Briscoe going to a draw and a Skull-Crunching collision; Kirsch made sure to point out that these two, along with their respective partners would be doing battle at Final Battle next month<br /></li><li>Low-Ki defeating Christopher Daniels, which set-up The End vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0 for Final Battle<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Kirsch and Riccaboni</strong> reminded us to stick around as later tonight they'd recap the Steel Cage Warfare bout.</p><p> </p><p> Up next we saw the "Clap" make its way back into the ROH ring as <strong>"Brutal" Bob Evans</strong> scored a rare victory over <strong>"Wild Horse" TK O'Ryan</strong>. Bob is a mentor to a lot of these younger guys, and his dark charisma is entertaining us. He'll likely be a frequent fixture on these Honor Club exclusives. TK O'Ryan on the other hand has had a rough 2018. After winning the 6-man tag titles in 2017 with The Kingdom, O'Ryan missed a significant amount of time with a severe leg injury. He returned in late 2017 and really never found his footing in 2018. After The Kingdom was forced to disband we've seen TK O'Ryan loosely affiliated with Caprice Coleman and Shane Taylor, but they weren't seen with him here.</p><p> </p><p> In a fun, comedy bout, <strong>Cheeseburger</strong> defeated <strong>Ultimo Maya</strong>. Maya is a lucha-influenced high flyer with a good look, but ultimately ROH Dojo Assistant Trainer, Cheeseburger got the win here!</p><p> </p><p> They then ran us through the ratings from the pay-per-view:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Raymond Rowe defeated Will Ospreay ©<br /></li><li>Low-Ki defeated Christopher Daniels (D+)<br /></li><li>Alex Shelley defeated Dalton Castle (D+)<br /></li><li>Jay Lethal drew Jay Briscoe (B-)<br /></li><li>Tenille Dashwood defeated Madison Rayne (D+)<br /></li><li>Alex Shelley defeated Will Ospreay ©<br /></li><li>Steel Cage Warfare (C+)<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Overall: C+</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> In our next exclusive bout Royalty's <strong>Chris Sabin and Davey Boy Smith Jr</strong> absolutely annihilated two "Future of Honor" competitors in <strong>"Iron" Shane Mercer and Kriss Stark</strong>. Mercer and Stark are both potential 2019 Top Prospect Tournament contenders, but neither got much in during this one. The announcers used this to hype the strength of Royalty.</p><p> </p><p> Up next, we saw an Honor Club exclusive highlight package featuring "Best Friends" <strong>Beretta and Chuckie T</strong> and highlighting some of their victories during the recent NJPW Lightning Tour and NJPW Power Struggle. It started with Power Struggle where despite their best efforts they couldn't defeat the ROH Tag Champion <strong>Briscoe Brothers</strong>! As it transitioned we found out that recently the Best Friends have teamed with <strong>David Finlay Jr</strong> to form "<em>Bestest Friends</em>" and during the tour they captured the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles! As part of our partnership with NJPW, we were able to air the victory. In this bout <strong>Beretta, Taylor and Finley</strong> defeated <strong>Taichi and Roppongi 3K</strong> to capture the NEVER Openweight Six-Man titles. It was a fun, comedy, filled back and forth bout and it showcased some of the skills that Beretta and Chuckie T haven't been able to showcase here in ROH.</p><p> </p><p> In our Honor Club Exclusive Main Event we saw <strong>Colt Cabana</strong> exact his revenge on <strong>The Dawgs</strong>, by teaming with <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>. Flip got the pin for the team, defeating Rhett Titus. This small feud appears to be just beginning and it's a nice way for us to integrate some of our forgotten talent!</p><p> </p><p> The final segment featured a recap of the Steel Cage Warfare bout. <strong>Cody</strong> and <strong>Omega</strong>'s ended sequence was highlighted, as were the insane high-spots that were featured throughout the bout. Kirsch and Riccaboni sign off, reminding us that we are only one month away from Final Battle!</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> As I've mentioned, I've been tinkering with the Honor Club concept. The bouts here are all from the pre-shows during the November TV tapings and Survival of the Fittest PPV. I think it's a good way to utilize the bottom rung of the card and have some small storylines (likely Women and things like The Dawgs/Cabana). I am also using it to test out tag pairings and future stars... I've mixed in the PPV match ratings (previously in the body of the PPV post), and some commentary. As well as every month I'll add a match or two or update from one of our partners. This month it was The Best Friends in NJPW.</p><p> </p><p> It's a bit of a throw-away post, but it can be used to highlight a lot of things. I'm planning on doing one prior to each PPV as a preview show (it'll include some Pre-Show or Honor Club Exclusive bouts) and a one after each PPV as a post-PPV show. It's inspired by the old-school WCW Worldwide or WWE Jakked/Metal shows.</p><p> </p><p> In the future I can update anyone on guys from around the globe, or companies from around the globe.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Let me know if you think this has value.</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Lastly, I found the intro video today while on r/ squaredcircle. It was created by a gentleman named Robbie Green, the full size clip is here: </p><div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/7gfZosrGWQQ?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Ring Of Honor | Broadcast Opener Concept"></iframe></div></div>
  11. Low-Ki has always been a personal favorite, that debut video was hype. Crazy to see his athleticism.
  12. Ring of Honor Presents: Survival of the Fittest Ring of Honor: Survival of the Fittest Pay-Per-View Announcers: Ian Riccaboni and AJ Kirsch ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post-Show Notes: I debated a number of different solutions for the fourth member of Royalty, and took Davey Boy when I noticed he was without a partner in NJPW. Suzuki-Gun has basically died over there as Minoru retired, and they didn't resign Taka. Lance Archer/Hoyt is out for the year with an injury so then I saw Davey Boy as a logical fit for this wrestling "Royalty" group.......yes I'm aware he and Nattie are cousins, that may or may not play in as I develop this. ZSJ was another guy I debated... and I still might add him to ROH at some point, maybe even as part of the group... who knows... Hangman Page suffered a Torn LCL during the bout... he's out for a bit. Which actually works well since the Young Bucks will now be able to run on their own. We are over a month away from Final Battle and we already know four title bouts. Cody vs. Shelley, Low-Ki/Lethal vs. Briscoes, Nattie vs. Tenille and The End/Taven vs. SoCal Uncensored 2.0... I'm happy about that. We also can infer Aries vs. Castle... Definitely cool with longer-term build-ups to the end of the year show! Ryback was an interesting choice, one I hadn't thought of, and frankly CobheadJake nailed it, doesn't fit the ethos of ROH in my mind. Darren Young (AKA Fred Sampson) has been cruising the Indies and putting up decent ratings... but at 39 he didn't fit the group well enough for me. I've always liked Magnus/Aldis and he'd actually be a realistic choice for the enforcer type role. My fear with Sandow is that he becomes the focal point/main talker of the group (although now that I say that, it worked for Scott Hall as a support guy)... hmm. He is currently with Rival Lucha Underground, damn... Hero made the main roster! He's an opener, but he's on the main show! In a technical bout that went back and forth <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> scored the victory and the critical first two points.</p><p> </p><p> We then got a promo with <strong>Royalty</strong> discussing <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Steel Cage Warfare</span></strong> and what the four-on-four elimination bout will prove to the world. Wrestling's Royal "Family" will prove that they are the best in the world and that the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> will never be the Best In The World. </p><p> </p><p> In our second bout of the Survival of the Fittest we saw our first bout from the A Pool, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> vs. <strong>Will Ospreay</strong>. Two of the best bets in the business went toe to toe and in the end it was <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> hitting the Os-Cutter and coming out on top with the victory.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> promise that the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> is fine and that Steel Cage Warfare will prove that the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> is better without traitors and that <strong>The Elite </strong>are exactly that... Elite.</p><p> </p><p> In a tag bout, <strong>Frankie Kazarian and Rocky Romero</strong> defeated <strong>The End</strong> (<strong>Hammerstone and Odinson</strong>). This bout was set-up based on the Honor Rumble, and post-match, knowing that <strong>Daniels</strong> was busy preparing for his match in the Survival of the Fittest, <strong>Matt Taven, Odinson and Hammerstone</strong> got some revenge and laid out the victors. <strong>Taven</strong> screamed that the 6-man belt would soon be <strong>The End</strong>'s and that this was just the beginning of a painful demise. </p><p> </p><p> In our second bout of Pool A, <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> defeated <strong>Raymond Rowe</strong> in a violent, hard-hitting encounter that proved to be the match of the night. <strong>Rowe</strong> had a near pinfall and really showed that he can go as a singles guy if need be, but it was <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> with his hand raised post-match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Austin Aries</strong> made an appearance before the Main Event, he went on a rant saying that he debuted in Ring of Honor in 2004, and is a two-time Ring of Honor World Champion, but <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> didn't seem to think that was good enough to be the "<em>Wild Card</em>"... With that he joined the commentators for our Main Event,</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, and second Pool B bout, we had a utter disaster of a bout between <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> and <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>. This match just didn't work. <strong>Daniels</strong> is on extreme time decline and showed here. <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> got the win with the Bang-A-Rang, but the overall match left a sour taste in everyones mouth. The show went off the air with <strong>Aries</strong> getting in the face of <strong>Castle</strong>, but ultimately backing down and walking away as the cameras faded out.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">ROH TV, November Week 3, 2018</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Survival of the Fittest Night Two</em></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="0UoQ0WN.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0UoQ0WN.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Night two of the Survival of the Fittest kicked off with Pool B and <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> (Two Points) facing <strong>Low-Ki</strong> (Zero Points). Same as last week, <strong>Austin Aries</strong> came down and joined commentary, keeping a close eye on <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> and saying that he has been facing the has-beens of Ring of Honor. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> tries to point out that<strong> Daniels and Low-Ki </strong>were both in Ring of Honor when <strong>Aries</strong> debuted, but <strong>Aries</strong> smugly rejects everything <strong>Riccaboni</strong> says. The match in the ring looked to be going <strong>Low-Ki'</strong>s way, but then <strong>Mark Brisco</strong>e made his way down to the ring and got in <strong>Low-Ki</strong>'s face on the ring apron. Last month <strong>Low-Ki</strong> qualified for the <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> by beating <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> and this clearly didn't settle well with <strong>Mark</strong>. The distraction allowed <strong>Castle</strong> to take advantage and steal a win and put himself in the drivers seat. It also eliminated <strong>Low-Ki</strong> from the tournament, though he'll still have a night three bout on deck.</p><p> </p><p> Post-match, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> tries to chase <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> to the back, but he is stopped by <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> who tells him that they will take care of things professionally and not to stoop to that level... <strong>Low-Ki</strong> seems to be ok with that answer.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody, Marty Scurll and Brandi Rhodes</strong> are seen, <strong>Brandi</strong> stands guard over their titles while <strong>Marty</strong> and <strong>Cody</strong> tell the camera that <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> is out tying up some loose ends and that the reinforcement has arrived.</p><p> </p><p> In the second Pool B bout <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> (2 Points) carried <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong> (0 Points) through the bout and scored the two points. At the <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> Pay-Per-View the third match in the pool between <strong>Alex Shelley and Dalton Castle</strong> will have direct implications in who will be in the finals later that night as they both have 4 points!</p><p> </p><p> Post-match, <strong>Matt Taven</strong> comes out and tells <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong> that <strong>The End</strong> is here and the end of his career will come at their hands. He practically begs for a title-shot for he and his crew but <strong>Daniels</strong> tells him <strong>SoCal Uncensored 2.0</strong> still runs the show and they don't respect <strong>The End</strong>. <strong>Daniels</strong> tells <strong>Taven</strong> that he's been disappointed in his performance here and frankly it has made him question how much he has left...so... if he can't score the victory over <strong>Low-Ki</strong> at Survival of the Fittest, and earn a mere two points, he'll grant <strong>The End</strong> their wish... But if he does win, then no title shot for them... <strong>Riccaboni</strong> adds that he's been told that if <strong>Low-Ki</strong> wins, ROH's competition committee will grant he and <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> a future Tag Title shot at <strong>The Briscoes</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> In the first Pool A bout of the night <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> (0 Points) faced <strong>Raymond Rowe</strong> (0 Points). <strong>Rowe</strong> once again proved he could hang with the best in the singles division, but again he fell just short against a former ROH World Champion.<strong> Lethal</strong> took him down with the Lethal Injection and scored the two points.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we lay eyes on <strong>Madison Rayne</strong> stretching and doing her thing when suddenly <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> attacks her and beats her down. <strong>Dashwood</strong> tells <strong>Rayne</strong>, "This is all about ME! This is MY show, and this is my Women's Revolution... Not Yours"...</p><p> </p><p> In tag action <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> defeated <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> in a fun story-telling bout. As the match ended <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> walked down the aisle with <strong>Hangman Page</strong>'s noose in his hand...both <strong>Bucks</strong> turned to face <strong>Sabin</strong> and of course, a hulking mid-6-foot man, wearing jeans and a jacket with a hood and mask covering his face attacked the <strong>Bucks</strong> from behind with a <em>running lariat</em>,<strong> Sabin</strong> slides in and he and the <strong>masked man</strong> beat down <strong>The Young Bucks</strong> as security tries to get a hold of the action in the ring. <strong>Sabin and the masked man</strong> head up the ring and are joined at the top of it by <strong>Scurll and Cody... Royalty</strong>, now four men strong, leave the scene, stronger and bigger than ever, but we still don't know who the large masked man was.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, and second pool A bout, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> (2 points) took on <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> (2 Points). This was a bout that had a lot riding on it, with the winner putting himself in the drivers seat. In a bit of a shock finish, <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> scored the win, hitting the Os-Cutter on <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">Survival of the Fittest Night Three Pay-Per-View Preview</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> The Survival of the Fittest concludes with the final four pool matches, followed by the Survival of the Fittest finals which we crown the winner of the Survival of the Fittest and grant the winner a shot at the ROH World Champion Cody at Final Battle.</p><p> </p><p> The pool round concludes with the final four bouts. In Pool A, <strong>Raymond Rowe</strong> (0 points) will look to score his first victory as he takes on <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> (4 Points). <strong>Ospreay</strong> merely needs a draw to guarantee his spot in the finals. <strong>Rowe</strong> is formally eliminated but he'll look to build on two solid appearances and play spoiler. Pool A will also see <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> (2 Points) taking on <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> (2 Points). Both men fell victim to <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> and now will be forced into cheering for <strong>Raymond Rowe</strong> in the hopes that he can stop <strong>Ospreay</strong> and give the winner of <strong>Lethal/Briscoe</strong> a spot in the finals. ROH Officials would like to remind you that in the event of multiple competitors finishing with the same amount of points, both competitors will advance to the finals, so it is conceivable that we could see a triple threat or fatal-four-way final!</p><p> </p><p> In Pool B,<strong> Low-Ki </strong>(0 Points) and <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong> (0 Points) battle for pride as neither has scored a victory in the first two nights of the battle. <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>, ever the master manipulator, has promised <strong>The End</strong> that if he doesn't win he'll grant them a shot at he and SoCal Uncensored's 6-man titles. But if he does win, then The End won't get a shot, meanwhile, <strong>Low-Ki</strong> has his own issues to worry about as <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> cost him his last bout and will certainly be on the mind of<strong> Low-Ki </strong>during this one. Especially since with a win, <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> will get a shot at the <strong>Briscoes</strong> belts. In the other bout <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> (4 points) will take on <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> (4 points) with the winner guaranteed to fight again tonight in the finals of the Survival of the Fittest.</p><p> </p><p> After her assault on <strong>Madison Rayne</strong>, <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> will take her on in a Women of Honor bout that is bound to have ramifications towards the title race. In fact, <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong> has said that the winner will be the #1 Contender to her title and that she'll actively be paying attention to this one.</p><p> </p><p> In our main event, <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> and <strong>Cody</strong>'s blood feud boils over in the fifth ever Steel Cage Warfare in Ring of Honor history. <strong>Kenny Omega, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson and Hangman Page</strong>, colloquially known as The <strong>Bullet Club</strong> will do battle with the Ring of Honor World Champion, <strong>Cody</strong>, and his band of villainous characters, <strong>Marty Scurll, Chris Sabin</strong> and the newest member, who will certainly be revealed at the pay-per-view. As <strong>Cody</strong> is the Ring of Honor World Champion his team will be the first with the advantage. We can now confirm that <strong>Cody</strong> has nominated <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> to start the bout, he will step into the ring against <strong>Hangman Page</strong> for the first five minutes, and this is bound to get physical quickly.</p><p> </p><p> As a reminder here is the entrance sequence, with Team A: <strong>Royalty</strong> holding the initial advantage.</p><p> </p><p> First Five Minutes: Royalty's First Entrant, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> vs. Bullet Club's First Entrant, <strong>Hangman Page</strong></p><p> Next Two Minutes: Team A1, A2 vs. Team B1</p><p> Next Two Minutes: Team A1, A2 vs. Team B1, B2</p><p> Next Two Minutes: Team A1, A2 vs. Team B1, B2, B3</p><p> Next Two Minutes: Team A1, A2, A3 vs. Team B1, B2, B3</p><p> Next Two Minutes: Team A1, A2, A3, A4 vs. Team B1, B2, B3</p><p> Next Two Minutes: All Competitors Eligible</p><p> </p><p> However at anytime during this match if a competitor is pinned or submits he'll be eliminated from the bout and therefore negate any potential advantages or exacerbate any disadvantages.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> -----------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prediction Contest (Session Four, After Round Two)</span></strong><p> </p><p> Realizing I forgot to update post <em>Honor Rumble</em>, so that's wrapped into this as well... I'm trying to use the Survival of the Fittest as a way to build-up some of the stories for Final Battle. After all, Final Battle is our "WrestleMania" of sorts. The winner of the Survival of the Fittest will obviously challenge Cody, but the other seven guys all need some story direction and I think we are doing a nice job of getting there. Daniels time decline going into critical failure was a really really bad deal... He and Castle utterly bombed.</p><p> </p><p> Re Surprise Entrants for Honor Rumble: Doug Williams is too "old" for CEO Cary Silkin and was blocked... But he was a contender. Eddie Edwards is out injured... also was a contender. I did think about Koslov, I used to really dig his shtick... but he's left the business (as is true in reality as well). I went with Cabana because his annoying theme was stuck in my head and I wanted someone for Ferrara and Titus to have a small story with... Austin Aries has always been a favorite and I thought about making him the fourth member of Royalty before deciding instead to go this direction. The Wild Card snub is a nice storyline that I could see him getting pissed about... I hope you agree. Jimmy Jacobs was another contender for Royalty... he is a Princess afterall. Instead,... well.... But first, let's send it to the ring of for an Honor Club, <em>Future of Honor Exclusive</em>. In our first ever Honor Club Future of Honor exclusive, <strong>The Boys (Brandon and Brent)</strong> defeated <strong>The North Star Express (Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz)</strong>. <strong>Corbin and Cruz</strong> are a tag-team out of Minnesota who have been teaming together for a number of years, while they gave a good effort they were no match for <strong>The Boys</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the studio <strong>Riccaboni and Kirsch</strong> were joined by <strong>Christopher Daniels</strong>. <strong>Daniels</strong> discussed winning the Honor Rumble and what it would mean for his career to capture the Ring of Honor World Title once again. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> then lays out the format for the Survival of the Fittest. There will be two pools of four. Each man in a respective pool will face the other three and the wrestler with the most points will win his pool and face the opposing pools winner in the Survival of the Fittest finals. Two points will be awarded for a victory and one point for a draw.</p><p> </p><p> ROH CEO <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> joins us to announce the Wild Card. He begins by saying that this man is a former Ring of Honor champion... Before he can get further, <strong>Austin Aries</strong> joins the program and thanks <strong>Silkin</strong> for welcoming him back and giving him the Wild Card spot. After all he should have qualified but it took three men teaming up to eliminate him... <strong>Daniels</strong> looks smugly at <strong>Aries</strong>. <strong>Silkin</strong> takes the microphone back and says that <strong>Aries</strong> isn't the Wild Card... The Wild Card is the man who started 2018 as the Ring of Honor World Champion, <strong>Dalton Castle!</strong> <strong>Aries</strong> is livid and storms out of the studio. <strong>Cary Silkin</strong> then instructs <strong>Daniels</strong> to pick the pools.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Daniels</strong> deliberates and using a touch-screen places the competitors in their respective pools. He says that he's stacked Pool A with a bunch of guys who beat the living daylights out of each other and thusly leave the winner of that pool weakened for <strong>Daniels</strong> when he captures Pool B. <strong>Daniels</strong> thanks the hosts for their time but says he has other things to attend to and leaves.</p><p> </p><p> As <strong>Daniels</strong> leaves they segue into discussing the Main Event at Survival of the Fittest, <em>Steel Cage Warfare</em>, a match-up that will be returning to Ring of Honor for the first time in five years as <strong>Cody's Royalty</strong> will take on <strong>Kenny Omega's Bullet Club</strong> in a four on four elimination brawl, inside a steel cage. The match will start with one man from each team inside in the cage. These two men will do battle for five minutes. At the end of the five minutes a member of one of the teams will be randomly selected to enter the cage, therefore giving his team a brief advantage. On tonight's episode the 30-man Honor Rumble returns and the final four men standing with punch their tickets to the Survival of the Fittest with the overall winner naming the two pools they'll compete in. As the announcers begin to run down the Honor Rumble and lay out the evenings plans, <strong>Royalty</strong>, led by <strong>Cody</strong>, make their way down to the ring. <strong>Cody</strong> has a message for <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> and the <strong>Bullet Club</strong>. First and foremost, <strong>Kenny Omega</strong> <span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>WILL NOT</strong></span> be getting a Ring of Honor World Championship opportunity. He's already had one, and as a non-permanent member of the roster, that's all he's entitled to. However, <strong>Cody</strong> and his <strong>Royalty</strong> mates will take on the <strong>Bullet Club</strong> at <strong>Survival of the Fittest</strong>. But this won't be just a normal fight. It'll be the fifth ever edition of <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Steel Cage Warfare</span></strong>. The first since 2013, and it'll be Four on Four. Cody drops the mic and the group walks out. <strong>Ian Riccaboni</strong> squeals with glee and quickly points out this must mean there is a fourth, wrestling, member of <strong>Royalty</strong> and we haven't met him yet! He confirms that main event at Survival of the Fittest will be the fifth ever edition of Steel Cage Warfare, <strong>Royalty vs. Bullet Club</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we see Women of Honor champion <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong>, she says she's promised to revamp the Women of Honor division and she's continuing by bringing in another Women who has made an impact all over the globe, <strong>Madison Rayne</strong>! Suddenly, <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> enters the screen and reminds <strong>Neidhart</strong> that this is "All About Me" ... She says that her loss at Global Wars was a minor setback, but by the end of the year she'll reign supreme. </p><p> </p><p> Back from commercial <strong>Dashwood</strong> is making her entrance for a Women of Honor bout with <strong>Mandy Leon</strong>. <strong>Dashwood</strong> makes relatively short work of <strong>Leon</strong>, forcing her to tap out.</p><p> </p><p> With that we go to a quick video highlighting the first three qualifiers for the Survival of the Fittest, <strong>Jay Briscoe, Low-Ki and Alex Shelley</strong>! But.... <strong>Castle's Boys</strong> have been hiding and they rolled out into a formed a human "shield" to prevent Castle's feet from touching the ground... <strong>Lethal and Hanson</strong> now engage in a battle and it was definitely a favorite in this bout as both men hit some signature spots. <strong>Lethal</strong>, devoid of most of his energy is tossed from the ring but as <strong>Castle</strong> begins to climb back in, <strong>Lethal</strong> hits him and lands on the apron. <strong>Castle</strong>'s boys this time can't save him as he hits the ground and dejectedly he has been eliminated. <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> has been eliminated mere minutes in. Two Ring of Honor legends engaged in battle as two young stars <strong>Ospreay and White</strong> also exchange blows. <strong>War Machine</strong> meanwhile does what needs to be done and goes after <strong>Jay Lethal</strong>. <strong>Lethal</strong> musters enough energy to fight them off for a few seconds. <strong>Hanson and Rowe</strong> go for a double clothesline but <strong>Lethal</strong> manages to duck and <strong>Hanson and Rowe</strong> miss, <strong>Hanson and Rowe</strong> turn around and as they do <strong>Will Ospreay</strong> who was irish whipped by <strong>Jay White</strong> leapfrogs off <strong>Lethal</strong>'s back, poetry in motion, connecting squarely with <strong>Hanson</strong> who goes stumbling over the top rope.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Eliminated: Hanson</strong></p><p> <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">In-Ring: Jay Lethal, Will Ospreay, Raymond Rowe, Jay White, Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries</span></em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Rowe</strong>'s frustration leads him to go after <strong>White</strong>. <strong>Ospreay</strong> turns his attention to the brawl in the corner with <strong>Aries and Daniels</strong>, he goes full speed from corner to corner and connects with <strong>Aries and Daniels</strong> leaving them all in a heap in the corner. <strong>Rowe</strong>'s strikes connect loudly with <strong>White and Rowe</strong> makes the elimination.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Eliminated: Jay White</strong></p><p> <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">In-Ring: Jay Lethal, Will Ospreay, Raymond Rowe, Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries</span></em></p><p> </p><p> Now down to five guys <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> is in bad shape and propped up in the corner. <strong>Raymond Rowe</strong> stands tall as <strong>Ospreay, Daniels and Aries</strong> have a three-way brawl. <strong>Lethal </strong>mustering perhaps his last bit of energy goes flying across the ring and connects with the threesome in the corner. <strong>Daniels</strong> falls to the right, <strong>Lethal</strong> falls straight down and <strong>Aries</strong> is draped precariously over the ropes. <strong>Ospreay</strong> took the least of the blow and he used that remaining energy to toss <strong>Aries</strong> to the floor, shockingly eliminating him.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Eliminated: Austin Aries</strong></p><p> <em><span style="text-decoration:underline;">In-Ring: Jay Lethal, Will Ospreay, Raymond Rowe and Christopher Daniels (All Four Qualify For the Survival of the Fittest)</span></em></p><p> </p><p> With four men left and all qualified for the <strong>Survival of the Fittest</strong> the bout now turns to see who will be making the pools. <strong>Lethal</strong>'s exhaustion leads him to being the first elimination as <strong>Ray Rowe</strong> easily lifts him over and out. Leaving <strong>Will Ospreay and Christopher Daniels</strong> as the final two. <strong>Ospreay</strong>, having entered at #20, began wearing down and <strong>Daniels</strong> took advantage. 19. Ring of Honor TV: Honor Rumble Preview and Honor Club Announcement ROHWrestling.com Exclusive: Honor Rumble Preview -------------------------------------------------------------- Ring of Honor Introduces: Honor Club ------------------------------------------------- Session Four of the prediction contest is underway! I've launched the Honor Club as a diary feature and not an in-game feature (broadcaster), at least yet. I'll use the once monthly Honor Club post to feature our Pre-Show matches from the four TV shows in the month as well as highlight some of our guys as they wrestle for other companies abroad. I think it'll be a fun way to highlight some of the work the AI is doing with our guys, and will allow me to tell some of the stories of the other companies a little better. Plus it gives me a place to continue working out guys and letting them wrestle. Previously I'd been typing these up before the TV shows as ROHWrestling exclusives. That will likely now transition to the once-monthly post. Let's give it a try... If I ever make enough money I may launch the Honor Club as a broadcaster, but that's a LONG way away. Now then, on to some commentary... CobheadJake: TFC hit the nail on the head, this started prior to the current NJPW storyline, though I did really debate Hangman as the turning member... That said, it evens the score with Omega being a NJPW guy I use him very selectively. The Final Countdown: I'm half-tempted to book WrestleKingdom for them just so I can accurately portray the story I want to have happen... If I do it, using the Honor Club will likely be a nice way for me to write it up in a very brief post. DGenerationMC: Steel Cage Warfare you say.... Hmmmm............ Better tune in and see what happens! Blodyxe: To be perfectly honest Silas leaving was a bit of a mistake, I forgot to renew him. I may resign him down the road, but I need something for him to do. I was originally thinking about him feuding with Beer City Bruiser, but that guy is so worthless. Kijar: Definitely glad that it got that reaction, that was the goal... Now lets see if Shelley can win the Survival of the Fittest ;-). I was originally planning the big Bullet Club vs. Royalty blow-off match for Final Battle, but I'm now going to run it at Survival of the Fittest as the Main Event. My reasoning is that Cody would otherwise not have a match there and that would be lame. Plus it'll allow Omega time to refocus on Naito. The Survival of the Fittest will be three days, with the culmination on PPV. It will be two pools of four. Day One and Day Two will be the first two matches, with the PPV featuring the final four matches and the subsequent final. It'll take a bit of fancy booking...... but it'll work out just fine ;-).
  20. ROH TV October Week 3 and Week 4 ROH TV, October Week 3, 2018 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROH TV, October Week 4 ---------------------------------------------- In the next post I'll answer some of the comments from the PPV, I think there are a ton of good thoughts and ideas there. Definitely love the interaction. I will also announce a new "feature" of sorts revolving around the pre-show (it's minor). More to come! Session four of the prediction contest will revolve entirely around the Survival of the Fittest, and will start with the Honor Rumble. I will post a preview prior to the match.
  21. Fan Scorecard: World Heavyweight Championship: Eddie Guerrero vs. The Unnatural {©} ---Too Soon for a title change I think, unless Dustin's been having some drug issues. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. Goldberg Steiner gets too distracted thinking about ham cubes or math, or something awesome. Sting vs. Rob Van Dam ---Tough one for me, I think RVD steals it. "The Hellraiser" Steve Austin vs. Chuck Palumbo ---Austin gets a win here World Tag Team Championship: True Heroes vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Brian Adams {©} ---I could see this being a DQ United States Heavyweight Championship: Alexander vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles {©} --- Two personal favorites, I think this is a solid way to set Styles up for a climb to the main event and give the group more gold. World Television Championship: Mortis vs. Sean O'Haire {©} ---If Styles wins, then I'd say Mortis wins, but lets go O'Haire. Always enjoyed his work. Cruiserweight Championship: Kaz Hayashi vs. "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson {©} ---AmDrag... OBJECTION! Paul London vs. Brian Kendrick ---Two rising stars, maybe this leads to a tag team. Minoru Tanaka, Volador Jr. and Aguila vs. The Empire What will be match of the night? Eddie vs Unnatural How many championships will change hands? 1 What will happen during the Hardys' announcement in Piper's Pit? Excursion to Japan... Random guess. Who will be the next World Heavyweight Champion? (worth 3 points) Eddie Guerrero

This bout was surprisingly fun and a solid match-up. Riddle and Lawlor danced around the ring and showed there familiarity with one another throughout the bout. Riddle tried to go for a take-down but Lawlor kept him at bay for the first four minutes or so. In fact, Lawlor recorded the first real takedown, sweeping the feet out from under Riddle and immediately jumping on him for the ground and pound. Riddle powered out though and both men retreated to their corners to regroup. Lawlor got cocky and began to taunt the crowd and that's when Riddle snapped into overdrive, leaping at Lawlor and connecting with a Flying Knee to the chest. The Villain meanwhile is always popular and as he strode the ring with his title, umbrella, and plague doctor mask, we knew we were in for a show. This bout started off more technical than most expected, with Scurll showcasing the British "Strong" Style and forcing White to tap into the darker, fiercer side he has only recently begun to reveal. Marty had a near-fall mere minutes into the match and that seemed to set White off. Switchblade brutalized Scurll for what felt like five minutes and then went for the Blade Runner only to see Scurll connect with an eye poke and roll him up for a quick two count. After the near pinfall Scurll continued to control the ground and isolated White's shoulder, weakening him enough to eventually lock-on the Crossface Chicken Wing and retain his Television Title. White really had Scurll on the ropes in this one, and if it weren't for The Villain's dastardly tactics we may have had a new champion. Riccaboni opines post-match that we certainly haven't seen the end of this one.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Marty Scurll defeated Jay White to retain the ROH Television Title</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>ROH Women of Honor</em></p><p> <strong>Nattie Neidhart {C} vs. Tenille Dashwood</strong></p><p> <img alt="XLrx1xE.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/XLrx1xE.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="8G0Deji.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/8G0Deji.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Two former stars of the Divas division who have recently made their way to the revitalized Women of Honor division squared off in this one. Definitely the case here. Whitmer and Martinez though weren't about to just lay down and take it. In fact Whitmer and Martinez controlled the offense for the bulk of the match. Martinez size and agility allowed him to keep up with Lethal and Low-Ki and his deranged attitude toward pain seemed to make him a great partner for Whitmer. Whitmer meanwhile went after the elbow of Low-Ki right away, but Lethal was able to tag in and he chased Whitmer around the ring until Martinez tagged himself in as well. Lethal and Martinez then had a nice sequence that saw Lethal take Martinez down and climb up top for the Hail to the King, but Priscilla Kelly got onto the apron, only for Low-Ki to come flying across the lower portion of the ropes and take her out with a huge shoulder block as Lethal soared over Low-Ki and connected with the Hail to the King for the victory. </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Jay Lethal and Low-Ki defeated BJ Whitmer and Punishment Martinez</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Post-match Lethal and Low-Ki embraced in the ring as Martinez carried Kelly to the back and Whitmer was left licking his teams wounds.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>ROH World Title</em></p><p> <strong>Cody {C} vs. Tetsuya Naito</strong></p><p> <img alt="vHbt8iT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vHbt8iT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="kTDXWu3.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kTDXWu3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="EpaJlLo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EpaJlLo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This is what you paid for. Cody made his way down to the ring, accompanied by his lovely wife Brandi Rhodes. Naito on the other hand rode solo to the ring, but had the fans in the palm of his hand. The announcers hyped that he captured the IWGP World Heavyweight title at Wrestle Kingdom 12 and that at Wrestle Kingdom 13, he'll defend the title against the G1 Climax Winner, Cody's stablemate in the Bullet Club, Kenny Omega. They also highlighted the rift Omega and Cody have had. A rift that saw Cody and Omega fight each other in May, one week after Naito defeated Cody in a non-title bout. As this one got underway Naito and Cody went through a number of rest holds and other methods to build a match slowly. The fans ate it up.</p><p> </p><p> Riccaboni continued that Omega is still obviously close with The Young Bucks, but that the Bullet Club fractures have been seen, even throughout the summer. Cross Rhodes.</p><p> </p><p> 1</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 2</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 3</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cody defeated Tetsuya Naito to retain the ROH World Title</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody</strong> has defended the title again. This bout was going so well and <strong>Naito</strong> may have had it won but <strong>Kenny Omega</strong>'s shock appearance messed with the MoJo. As <strong>Cody</strong> celebrated, <strong>Omega</strong> slid into the ring... He lifted <strong>Naito</strong>, hit the V-Trigger and then hit a One Winged Angel before pushing <strong>Naito</strong> to the floor and tossing his IWGP Title at him. At this point <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> has joined <strong>Omega, The Young Bucks and Cody</strong> in the ring. <strong>Omega</strong> applauds <strong>Cody</strong>. <strong>Riccaboni</strong> mentions <strong>Hangman Page</strong> is nowhere to be seen... <strong>Cody</strong> is exhausted and hunched over. <strong>Omega</strong> asks for a microphone...</p><p> </p><p> "<strong>Naito</strong>... I told you I was coming. I told you. January 4th, 2019... That belt. Comes To The Bullet Club. Where it BELONGS"... "And <strong>Cody</strong>... You have something I want. Suddenly <strong>Matt and Nick Jackson</strong> hit stereo superkicks on <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> as <strong>Omega</strong> boots <strong>Cody</strong> in the stomach. Hunched over <strong>Cody</strong> is the recipient of a brutal V-Trigger.</p><p> </p><p> On the floor <strong>Naito</strong> is stirring, and the <strong>Bucks</strong> go flying to hit him, but somehow he manages to move, leaving both <strong>Matt and Nick</strong> on the floor. <strong>Naito</strong> walks up the ramp surveying the carnage, and clutching his IWGP Title. <strong>Omega</strong> has <strong>Cody</strong>'s lifeless body and is lifting it up...</p><p> </p><p> "See what I am capable of Naito"... He lifts <strong>Cody</strong> for The One Winged Angel when suddenly from the crowd, now in full street clothes, <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> slides into the ring and clips <strong>Omega</strong>'s knee taking him down. <strong>Riccaboni and Kirsch</strong> are going wild at the announce table as Sabin hits a Cradle Shock on <strong>Kenny Omega</strong>, square in the middle of the ring, dropping his skull firmly onto the ROH World Title that Cody dropped when he was kicked... At ringside, the previously cowering <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong> has taken some rope she "found" under the ring and bound <strong>Matt and Nick Jackson</strong>'s arms to the ring barriers. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Cody</strong> is slowly climbing his way back to his feet... We cut to a picture-in-picture as we see <strong>Hangman Page</strong> laying prone on the ground tied to table by his own noose.</p><p> </p><p> As we focus back in the ring <strong>Brandi and Marty Scurll</strong> are both standing. <strong>Cody</strong> is up to his feet and <strong>Chris Sabin</strong> has a microphone.</p><p> </p><p> "Ring of Honor... I told you I wasn't done. I told you I was climbing that mountain... months ago <strong>Cody, Marty and Brandi</strong> presented me with an idea to secure all of our futures... An insurance plan so to speak... Just in case Kenny Omega and his goons, Matt and Nick tried to do something... well...You saw it...</p><p> </p><p> Tonight, I knew it was go-time. I had my bags packed, I was walking out of the building when I saw Kenny Boy here enter the building... Well, he went left, I went right... we call that the Detroit Shuffle. I knew he'd be looking for backup so I took out Hangman Page at the catering bar and continued to make my way around the building. By the time I was in place, I was a step too late boss... but... I made it here... and now..."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Omega</strong> slowly begins stirring... <strong>Cody</strong>, not one to miss an opportunity... lifts him... Cross Rhodes right back onto the belt in the middle of the ring... <strong>Cody</strong> asks for the microphone.</p><p> </p><p> "Chris. Marty. Brandi. Dynasty's aren't built in one night. Royalty isn't crowned in a day. May 1st, 2018, we sat down and I told you I had a broader vision. I had a vision that would take months and months of careful planning and execution. There have been set-backs, and bumps in the road... But my daddy always said 'There is No Honor Amongst Thieves', and Kenny, Matt, Nick, Hangman... That's exactly what you are. Thieves. This time 'when I take it daddy, I’m gon’ take it for you.'"</p><p> </p><p> The camera goes black as <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Cody, Marty Scurll, Brandi Rhodes and Chris Sabin</span></strong> stand tall in the ring over the limp body of Kenny Omega and the tied-up bodies of Matt and Nick Jackson, forced to watch the whole goings-on while bound to the ring barrier.</p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> <strong>Match Ratings:</strong></p><p> </p><p> The Briscoe Brothers defeated War Machine (B-)</p><p> Matt Riddle defeated Tom Lawlor (C-)</p><p> Marty Scurll defeated Jay White (C+)</p><p> Nattie Neidhart defeated Tenille Dashwood (D)</p><p> Chris Sabin defeated KUSHIDA (D+)</p><p> Hirooki Goto defeated Silas Young (D)</p><p> Jay Lethal and Low-Ki defeated BJ Whitmer and Damien Martinez (C+)</p><p> Cody defeated Tetsuya Naito (B-)</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">OVERALL: B-</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Notes:</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Woah... What can I say. I honestly hope this payoff is fun and works for y'all. I was having a bit of trouble with the whole Bullet Club rift and the direction I wanted to go with it and then I started scripting it out in my mind and decided I loved this direction. I want this to stay true to Ring of Honor and I think a strong stable has been a driving force in ROH in the past (Age of Fall, House of Truth, S.C.U.M.) so this is harkening back to those days with an original stable, not one based in Japan that happens to be in America, but without the leader... I never really liked the Bullet Club in ROH to be honest.</p><p> </p><p> TFC actually hit the nail on the head, I don't think NJPW would willingly let their champ lose a singles bout to the ROH champ on a PPV, at least without a solid story. When Omega won the G1 I knew that was the opening to pull this off here. NJPW cameras/media were "present" since Naito was in the bout. This ending, though making Cody look a little weaker than a clean victory. Allows Omega/Naito to be built further. Omega disrespected the belt and disrespected Naito. Cody meanwhile needed to either run solo or build his own small stable in a Bullet Club Esque fashion. With Scurll holding the TV Title, and Cody holding the World Title, bringing an elite tag wrestler, albeit without a partner, like Sabin into the fold made even more sense to me. I hope you all will enjoy it.</p><p> </p><p> Side note: The prediction prize will be to name the faction. I have two names and logos currently designed, the names are hinted in the promo. I'll send them both to the winner and they can pick.</p><p> </p><p> As for some of the stories in the show: Silas Young's contract expires in two days. He is 38 and going nowhere. I might bring him back down the road, but I didn't need him and he was stalled. Time to let him go... I haven't decided what to do with Lawlor, he isn't going to MMA in the game yet (though it is set in his profile so it could happen). In reality his MMA suspension ends in October of 2018 so this was a chance to consider writing him out for a bit. KUSHIDA and Sabin not having chemistry SUCKED. I didn't want that to happen to them as I like them both. But hey, that's the fun of the game!</p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">PREDICTION CONTEST (END OF ROUND THREE)</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Blodyxe: 9/10 + 8/10 + 7/9 + 8/8 TOTAL (32/37)</p><p> TheFinalCountdown: 9/10 + 10/10 + 8/9 + 6/8 + 4/8 TOTAL (37/45)</p><p> DGenerationMC: 9/10 + 8/10 + 8/9 + 5/8 + 6/8 TOTAL (36/45)</p><p> The Lariat: 7/10 </p><p> BHK1978: 6/10 + 8/10 + 7/9 + 5/8 + 5/8 TOTAL (31/45)</p><p> Kijar: 4/10 + 7/10 + 7/9 + 4/8 +6/8 TOTAL (28/45)</p><p> Powerbrock100: 7/10 + 8/9 + 6/8 TOTAL (21/27)</p><p> DREAM~!: 6/8</p><p> Warhawk8492: 4/8 + 5/8 TOTAL (9/16)</p><p> CobheadJake: 5/8</p><p> </p><p> Congrats <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TheFinalCountdown</span></strong> on the victory in this round, I've PM'd you the potential logos/names for the new faction. 25. <p>ROH Global Wars PPV Preview</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>ROH Global Wars Preview</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <em>Global Wars</em> marks the end of the 2018 collaborative NJPW and ROH pay-per-views and will feature an explosive main event that will see <strong>Cody</strong> defend his <em>ROH World Title</em> against the IWGP Heavyweight Champion, <strong>Tetsuya Naito</strong>. <strong>Naito</strong> scored a singles victory over <strong>Cody</strong> in May during the first War of the Worlds tour and used that victory to position himself as a challenger for <strong>Cody</strong>. <strong>Cody</strong> meanwhile has defeated all comers and will be forced into perhaps his hardest challenge yet!</p><p> </p><p> The <em>ROH Tag Titles</em> will be on the line in a bout that is sure to bring the house down. <strong>Mark Briscoe</strong> is returning from an ankle injury that kept him out for much of the last two months, including August's War of the Worlds Pay-Per-View that saw his brother defend the Tag Titles solo against two of CMLL's top challengers. Now back at full strength the <strong>Briscoes</strong> will take on the force known as <strong>War Machine</strong> in what is certain to be an explosive battle.</p><p> </p><p> The <em>Television Title</em> will be defended as <strong>"The Villain" Marty Scurll</strong> prepares to do battle with the darker side of <strong>Jay White</strong>, known as <strong>"Switchblade" Jay White</strong>. Over the summer, <strong>Jay White</strong> tapped into this darker side and began having great success in NJPW. During <em>Death Before Dishonor</em>, <strong>"Switchblade"</strong> returned to ROH and made an immediate impact leveling <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> with his devastating maneuver known as Blade Runner. Will the Villain be able to avoid it, or will he once again fall victim?</p><p> </p><p> Just two weeks ago the <em>Women of Honor</em> division saw its second ever champion crowned when <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong> defeated <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong>. In the weeks since the divisions facelift that Nattie promised has been in full effect. First and foremost, <strong>Brandi Rhodes</strong> announced her retirement from in-ring competition, stating that the Queen of Ring of Honor has learned there are certain battles she doesn't need to fight and promising to focus more on ensuring her husband, <strong>Cody</strong> continues his reign. <strong>Nattie</strong> meanwhile introduced a partnership with STARDOM, Japan's top female promotion, that will see some of the biggest stars in female wrestling visit Ring of Honor. But before she could formally make an open challenge to anyone from STARDOM she was interrupted by the debuting <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong>. Now at Global Wars, <strong>Nattie Neidhart</strong> will make her first defense against <strong>Tenille Dashwood</strong> in what is sure to be one of the best Women of Honor match-ups we have seen.</p><p> </p><p> After two weeks of unsuccessful battles with his associate, <strong>The Beer City Bruiser</strong>, <strong>Silas Young</strong> has taken matters into his own hands, challenging <strong>Hirooki Goto</strong> to a one-on-one bout that is sure to be hard-hitting and true test of <strong>Silas Young</strong>'s Real Man mentality.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Chris Sabin</strong>'s crusade to prove he is a true singles star took a slight detour last month when former partner <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> defeated him at <em>Death Before Dishonor</em>. <strong>Sabin</strong> wasn't deterred though as he immediately targeted <strong>Shelley</strong>'s partner from NJPW, <strong>KUSHIDA</strong>. After costing <strong>KUSHIDA, Shelley and Ospreay </strong>a match that could have seen them named the 6-man champions, <strong>Sabin</strong> issued the challenge to <strong>KUSHIDA</strong>, promising to send him back to NJPW with a loss, and reestablishing <strong>Sabin</strong>'s place among the best in ROH.</p><p> </p><p> Two months ago at War of the Worlds August, <strong>Tom Lawlor and Matt Riddle</strong>'s match was ruled a DQ when <strong>Lawlor</strong> refused to a break a hold on <strong>Riddle</strong>. The subsequent brawl post-match saw <strong>Lawlor</strong> take a cheap shot on <strong>Riddle</strong> that left <strong>Riddle</strong> down and out on the mat. Two months later, unsanctioned and uninvited, <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> returned to Ring of Honor with revenge on his mind costing <strong>Tom Lawlor</strong> his match against <strong>Flip Gordon</strong>. ROH officials moved quickly and agree to a one-day deal with <strong>Matt Riddle</strong> that will see <strong>"The King of the Bros"</strong> take on <strong>"Filthy"</strong> in what is sure to be a hard-hitting and ruthless rematch.</p><p> </p><p> Last but certainly not least, we will see long-time rivals turned hesitant alliance <strong>Low-Ki and Jay Lethal</strong> team up to deal with the persistent problem that is <strong>BJ Whitmer and Damien "Punishment" Martinez</strong>. Last month at <em>Death Before Dishonor</em>, <strong>Whitmer</strong> made his return to the ring, losing to <strong>Low-Ki</strong> in a Fight Without Honor that showed neither man had any respect for each other. Post-match, an enraged <strong>Whitmer and Martinez</strong> attempted to end <strong>Low-Ki'</strong>s career but before the damage could be inflicted <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> cleared the ring. Fast forward two weeks, <strong>Jay Lethal</strong> defeated <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> in another hard-hitting bout, but much like <strong>Low-Ki</strong>, post-match, <strong>Lethal</strong> was jumped by <strong>Martinez and Whitmer</strong>. This time it was <strong>Low-Ki</strong> to the rescue. Subsequently <strong>Low-Ki and Lethal</strong> challenged <strong>Whitmer and Martinez</strong> to a tag match that will likely see blood-spilled.</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH Global Wars Match Card</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>ROH World: Cody {C} vs. Tetsuya Naito<br /></li><li>ROH TV: Marty Scurll {C} vs. "Switchblade" Jay White<br /></li><li>ROH Tag: The Briscoe Brothers {C} vs. War Machine<br /></li><li>Women of Honor: Nattie Neidhart {C} vs. Tenille Dashwood<br /></li><li>Grudge Match: BJ Whitmer and Damien "Punishment" Martinez vs. Jay Lethal and Low-Ki<br /></li><li>Rematch: "Filthy" Tom Lawlor vs. "The King of the Bros" Matt Riddle<br /></li><li>Chris Sabin vs. KUSHIDA<br /></li><li>Hirooki Goto vs. Silas Young<br /></li></ul><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> -------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> The two weeks between PPVs was a challenge, I think I'll change that up in 2019, but I think the card came together pretty well and I'm really excited about this one, specifically as it moves towards Survival of the Fittest and also Final Battle. Lots of fun stuff coming up. Every match here serves a purpose in the story-telling for these characters and that'll be fun!</p>
