  2. Drawing a blank... I had a worker leave (Written deal with another company) two months ago... I switched it over to a PPA after he left to better replicate something, how long until he's willing to negotiate with the company he original left? I was thinking it was around 3 months, but cannot recall.
  3. <p>First Supercard of Honor Talent Announcement and ROH: Unauthorized Preview</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>First Supercard of Honor Talent Announcement and ROH: Unauthorized Preview</strong></span></span></p><p><span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong> </strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> We are still two and half months away from Supercard of Honor, with multiple events standing in the way, but that won't stop us from beginning to announce some of the amazing talent from around the world that will be #GoingtoLakeland and appearing at Supercard of Honor! The first of those announcements comes right now... Appearing and representing Revolution Pro Wrestling is a Canadian Superstar who has recently been wowing crowds across Europe and is rumored to be making his first appearance in Japan later this year, until then, keeps your eyes peeled and look to the skies, our first talent announcement:</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="EwmxQ6q.jpg?1" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EwmxQ6q.jpg?1" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p><p> With that out of the way, let's turn our attention to the show that will open February 2020 for us, Colt Cabana's Unauthorized! We've turned the book over to Colt for the night and he's booked us six wild matches that'll you'll only see here in Ring of Honor and only exclusively on the Honor Club... Let's pull the curtain back and take a peek at those bouts.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Low-Ki vs. Mark Briscoe</em></p><p> These two original ROH Superstars have been at the top of their games for years but this last year has been some of their best work yet. Low-Ki capped the year with a brutal victory against former partner Jay Lethal, meanwhile Mark Briscoe came up just short against his own brother Jay Briscoe. Now, Colt Cabana has booked them to face eachother. This will certainly have larger ramifications! And now, we can exclusively tell you that Ring of Honor officials have confirmed this will be viewed as a #1 Contenders bout!</p><p> </p><p> <em>Dan Maff vs. Jeff Cobb</em></p><p> Big strong boys... that's the theme here. Jeff Cobb lost at the Top Prospect Tournament to Low-Ki and now cannot challenge for any title for at least six months. As he looks to get back on track, Colt Cabana has booked him against a former ROH legend who hasn't stepped into an ROH ring since 2005, "Da Human Hit Squad" Dan Maff! Will Cobb rebound or will Maff keep him down?</p><p> </p><p> Colt Cabana's Six-Man Dance</p><p> <em>Colt Cabana vs. LSG vs. Mark Haskins vs. PJ Black vs. Royce Issacs vs. Shane Taylor</em></p><p> This one may seem random, and well.... it is. Colt Cabana fancied a bout and went through the locker room hand-picking five others to join the fray. This one may not inspire buys, but there is a lot of talent here who has been semi-stagnant recently. A victory will certainly help the year get on the right track!</p><p> </p><p> <em>Dalton Castle and Anthony Greene vs. Silas Young and Danhausen</em></p><p> Talk about a strange match to see in a Ring of Honor ring, Dalton Castle has recently been seen with a beautiful blond girl known as Candy, Anthony Greene made his in-ring debut during the Top Prospect Tournament and was accompanied by another blond known as Kammi, together Dalton and Greene call these women the "Platinum Hunnies" and now the men they associate with are teaming up to do battle with a truly strange bedfellows pair. On one side you have "The Last Real Man" Silas Young, who hasn't really done much at all in his return to ROH... on the other, you have cult-favorite and absolute nut-job Danhausen. Colt Cabana was asked for comment and all he had to say was "Love that Danhausen"... so umm... that's a bout.</p><p> </p><p> <em>The Kingdom of Truth and Cody Hall vs. The End and Karl Fredericks</em></p><p> The Kingdom of Truth and The End have had their issues. After all, it was Matt Taven who brought The End to new heights before they turned on him and brutally destroyed him. Taven returned with his former partner, Mike Bennett and a new voice, Truth Martini. Now Colt Cabana wants to see them fight again, but this time he wanted to pair them with "two talents he was personally impressed with during the Top Prospect Tournament". We have a feeling that this one is just the beginning.</p><p> </p><p> <em>Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham vs. The Dawgs</em></p><p> At Top Prospect Tournament we heard Jay Lethal say that he's been scouting the tapes and found himself watching some of the lesser known names in Ring of Honor, now at Unauthorized, he'll get a chance to tag with one of those names, Jonathan Gresham. On the other side, we have Rhett Titus and Will Ferrera, The Dawgs. We recently saw The Dawgs in the crowd at the Top Prospect Tournament, and they have a rough draw this week on ROH TV as they'll take on The End, but hey... maybe this will be a big win for them.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Colt Cabana's Unauthorized ROH Event Card:</strong></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="44489" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham vs. The Dawgs<p> The Kingdom of Truth and Cody Hall vs. The End and Karl Fredericks</p><p> Dalton Castle and Anthony Greene vs. Silas Young and Danhausen</p><p> Colt Cabana vs. LSG vs. Mark Haskins vs. PJ Black vs. Royce Issacs vs. Shane Taylor</p><p> Dan Maff vs. Jeff Cobb</p><p> #1 Contendership for the ROH World Title: Low-Ki vs. Mark Briscoe</p></div></blockquote><p> --------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> Just a fun show, showcasing some of the other talents, bringing in a couple guys, and just doing something a bit different... We will have normal TV recaps up next, and then Manhattan Mayhem here in February!</p>
  4. Interesting concept, I like the idea of highlighting only certain pieces.
  5. 'The One and Only' Ricochet [vs] 'Glorious' Robert Roode Toni Storm & Naomi [vs] The IIconics Eric Young [vs] 'Der Ringgeneral' WALTER w/ Imperium The Usos [vs] Damnation (Harper & Rowan) 'The Timesplitter' KUSHIDA [vs] Heath Slater 'The Prizefighter' Kevin Owens [vs] 'The King of Strong Style' Shinsuke Nakamura
  6. I've done a fair amount of tinkering with TheWho's various mods. The original database here was Dec2017, I download some of the newer ones (Jan2020 currently) to add newer talents and keep the world vibrant and fresh. I try not to juice workers, but there are certain talents that I will boost from their super low base to be more in line with similar talents. After this TPT I boosted Bey a bit in athleticism and charisma. I'm letting him work with some other smaller companies and will circle back to him in a bit. I really enjoy his work so he might make a return in the future. I also added Future of Honor as a "SMALL" promotion to develop some of the guys that I want to see get some in-ring seasoning. Alex Zayne as an example. Kinda a breeding ground for 2019 indy darlings that haven't popped onto the radar, so I'd consider signing Bey for that, but he's actually with a small fed on his own (DEFY) so I'll let him stay there. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh ya, I was shocked at how bad the TPT matches did. In the previous editions I had some guys with a bit better overness and I think that boosted them a bit. I went back and forth on the Cobb result, but for the longer-term story-telling I thought this opened up more intriguing things. Plus... I still love Low-Ki. The plague masks always creep me out also, but they fit Villains so well. And again, I think this will open up a longer-term story. Last but not least, I went with Keys to win because it turned out he was the most popular and must have had a good destiny roll. He was with CHIKARA as Jasper Tippins before they closed down in game so he had in-ring experience and has developed well. He's also young and I needed some fresher blood. The "Swipe Right" Joe Keys character is somewhat the character he plays in reality now, but amplified. I originally saw him on a Future of Honor friday show, and I believe he has jobbed on ROH TV a couple times in reality. Cody Hall on the other hand... you'll see, I'm going to try-out something with him in the coming months... it may not stick... but we shall see. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up next the push towards Supercard of Honor live! Supercard of Honor comes during the week of Wrestlemania and frequently features some of the biggest stars from around the world! Ring of Honor officials will slowly be announcing some of the talent you can expect to see in the coming months! As we cruise into February, we will kick off with Colt Cabana's Unauthorized Special Event. This event is much like SMASH! The Halls and is more of a one off than a true PPV. It's more for the fans and is more along the lines of current Ring of Honor where they like to throw a variety of things together to keep the fans involved. This is more of an "Indy" style show than a move storylines along show, though there will be some. The February PPV that the TV shows are building towards is Manhattan Mayhem, live from the Manhattan Center in NYC. March will feature Anniversary, live from Las Vegas, NV. April will feature Supercard of Honor, and our next "Special Event" as Ring of Honor Presents: Past vs. Present, your favorite ROH stars of the past take on the current stars of today!
  7. ROH Top Prospect Tournament 2020 Ring of Honor: Top Prospect Tournament 2020 January Week 3, 2020 Live from Center Stage in Atlanta, GA Greene was accompanied by Kammi and was adorned in some ridiculous early 1990's Zubaz, he is the Retrosexual after all. His opponent, Chris Bey seemed more interested in flirting and as he said Finessing with Kammi and Greene took advantage scoring a roll-up victory to advance to the fatal-four-way final. Anthony Greene defeated Chris Bey via rollup (* 3/4) Backstage, Odinson and Hammerstone have Truth Martini cornered, when Matt Taven and Mike Bennett make the save... The End and The Kingdom brawl off the screen and as the camera pans away we see Brody King sitting on a production box holding a stack of red balloons smiling like a possessed man... TPT Preliminary Brent Banks vs. Dak Draper The next preliminary bout was even worst than the first in terms of in-ring quality. The fans hated this one, though thankfully it was quick as the "Mile High Magnum" Dak Draper won the bout and moved to the finals. Dak Draper defeated Brent Banks (DUD). Backstage Bobby Cruise catches up with "The Dawgs" Will Ferrara and Rhett Titus. The two men mention they were once Top Prospects and they are in the house to enjoy the show... strange, but nice tie-in... TPT Preliminary Flyer vs. Joe Keys The next preliminary bout helped us move back into the right direction in terms of the quality of the bout. Flyer is a really impressive high flier from CMLL who appears to be targeted for big things moving forward. "Swipe Right" Joe Keys might think he's the king of dating apps, but he's actually impressive in ring and has some developing charisma. In this one he scored the victory with the "X Out" DDT, a modified Hammerlock DDT. Joe Keys defeated Flyer with the "X Out" DDT (**) We see all three members of the 6-Man Tag champions, Team Filthy at ringside. The announcers mention that all three of them are former competitors in the Top Prospect Tournament! TPT Preliminary Cody Hall vs. Nathan Cruz In the final preliminary match, Cody Hall dominated Nathan Cruz in another DUD of a bout. He hit the Outsider's Edge for the victory and quickly moved on. Cody Hall defeated Nathan Cruz via Outsider's Edge (DUD) We get a promo from Villain Enterprises as Marty Scurll handles the talking while Davey Boy Smith Jr and Thomas Latimer stand menacingly behind him. Scurll promises that heroes may die, but villains live forever and soon we will all see what he means... ROH Tag Titles Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Top Guys {C} On a show that has the primary purpose of developing and showcasing future stars you need to mix in a couple bouts to keep the fans from turning off the show. This one fit the bill as this was a great showcase of pure wrestling skills from both teams. Ultimately this one served to build up the The Top Guys more while still keeping the Motor City Machine Guns relevant. The Top Guys hit the Shatter Machine for the victory, breaking the boys from the Motor City in the process and retaining the tag titles... The Top Guys retained the ROH Tag Titles via Shatter Machine over the Motor City Machine Guns (***3/4) We get a promo from Jay Lethal stating that he's been watching the tapes from 2019 and studying a number of superstars in Ring of Honor that he feels are unheralded, he says as his next act, he's handpicking a new partner and coming for the Tag Titles with another partner. Top Prospect Tournament Finals Anthony Greene vs. Cody Hall vs. Dak Draper vs. Joe Keys Well... this one could have been worse, so that's one way to look at it. Over the last two tournaments we saw both Odinson and Austin Theory come out of the tournament as new stars in Ring of Honor... this one featured four men that all wanted to reach that pinnacle and earn both the contract and the title shot at the ROH Television title. This was an elimination bout and the first elimination came when Cody Hall hit the Outsider's Edge on Dak Draper and eliminated him. Eliminated: Dak Draper With three in the ring, Anthony Greene took a break to go chat with his "Hunnies" at ringside, and as Kammi was rubbing his back, Joe Keys slid into the DM's, and by that I mean hit a baseball slide that sent Greene facefirst into Kammi's chest. Greene seemed fine, but Cody Hall stepped out of the ring and dragged Greene back in, delivering another Outsider's Edge for the next elimination. Eliminated: Anthony Greene Cody Hall and Joe Keys stared eachother down and with a smirk, Hall charged. Keys swept right and sidestepped a charging bull showing there might be some brains in there after all. This song and dance went on for a bit before they locked up and began exchanging blows. Hall went for a ripcord lariat, but Keys spun through, wound up behind Hall and nailed a backstabber... he lifted Hall, pinned his arm behind his back, using his free hand, swept right across Hall's chest and delivered the X-Out DDT for the surprising victory. The 27-year Joe Keys has captured the Top Prospect Tournament, the contract and the title shot! Cody Hall impressed throughout, but in the end was outsmarted by the self-proclaimed "Most Eligible Bachelor on Tinder" "Swipe Right" Joe Keys. Joe Keys defeated Cody Hall to be crowned the Top Prospect of 2020 (**). The 2020 Top Prospect, "Swipe Right" Joe Keys Television Title Date Set Post-Match, ROH Television champion Nick Aldis stepped out from behind the curtain and congratulated Keys, saying he's earned it, Keys can name the time and place and he'll get his title shot... Keys demanded a microphone and wasting no time said "Manhattan Mayhem" in one months time, Joe Keys will have his ROH Television Title shot! Colt Cabana is Unauthorized! BOOM BOOM! Colt Cabana! Cabana is out next and says he's been thinking about fun ideas and recently pitched one that is bound to have the crowd on their toes! To kick February off with a bang, Cabana has been granted permission to book his own Ring of Honor special, and it'll be called Unauthorized! Anything can and will happen! This special show will feature seven bouts and will be available exclusively on the Honor Club! ROH World Title Jay Briscoe {C} vs. Will Ospreay The main event was a great, fun bout, but honestly didn't live up to what it could have been. Ospreay and Briscoe worked eachother over well, but it never really felt cohesive in the way that most Briscoe title defenses have so far. Briscoe seemed to have every one of Ospreay's moves scouted and limited all the aerial offense. With Ospreay grounded, Briscoe had a clear advantaged and secured the defense with the Jay Driller... Jay Briscoe retained the ROH World Title via Jay Driller on Will Ospreay (***1/2) As the show went off the air we saw Villain Enterprises just standing on the stage all wearing Plague masks... the eerie image seared into the audience brain as the show went dark...
  8. Timmy Force vs Prince Ameen New Blood Series: Mark 'Aussie' Davis vs Nathan Cruz David Finlay Jr vs. ??? The Prestige vs The Bhangra Knights vs The Dark Circus vs 'Super' Sam Bailey & 'Party Boy' Liam Slater - For The GBW Tag Team Titles The Clash Of The Champions: GBW World Champion Joey Hayes vs PCW World Champion Dave Rayne
  9. Fun diary and read. Love the presentation. Really unique. Just missed predicting. ... which was good for me, I would have been wrong... a lot. I don't know a lot of these guys, but I love looking guys up, so this is great.
  10. Top Prospect Tournament 2020 Preview 2020 Top Prospect Tournament Preview Over the last decade the Ring of Honor Top Prospect Tournament has launched numerous future stars, with the 2020 edition we seek to once again find that next breakout star! This years edition will feature the eight remaining superstars taking part in four singles bouts, with the winners facing off in an elimination four-way bout to crown the new "Top Prospect". Those eight men are as follows: 1) "Mile High Magnum" Dak Draper A former WWE Development wrestler, the 6'5" 245 pound Draper hails from Denver, Colorado and proudly calls himself Magnum to represent the size, speed and force he brings when he steps in the ring... 2) "Show Stealer" Nathan Cruz A British high-flyer with a reputation for impressing in the UK, including matches with the WWE and Impact when they visited, will make his US debut after 11 years professionally. The Show Stealer won this spot last month in an Honor Club exclusive bout that took place at our partners RevPro's show in December. 3) "Swipe Right" Joe Keys Arrogant, cocky, and a man who things that well... everyone "including the fatties" will always be swiping right.. Keys made his name in CHIKARA as a bit of a comedy character but ever since he's debuted his true persona, Joe Keys has truly blossomed. Joe Keys is obnoxious and has made his presence known a couple times in the last month, but this will be his first real shot to star in an ROH ring. 4) "Retrosexual" Anthony Greene Speaking of Sexual... think 1980's pornstar with Zubaz on and you'll have a decent idea what Anthony Greene brings to the table. This is sleaze personified in a different way. He's frequently seen with multiple women by his side. Greene and his mysterious associate "Kammi" secured the bag with a win over Lochy Hendricks. And now he seems to have an association with Dalton Castle... 5) "Double Platinum" Chris Bey Young, brash, and living up to the hype. Chris Bey loves to say that every girl loves the Ultimate Finesser. At only 24 years old, Bey has the look and skills to be a huge breakout star, but he'll need to put it together in the ring to earn the ROH Television Title shot. Bey defeated fellow southwestern star, Tito Escondido, to qualify. 6) Cody Hall The son of Cody Hall has carved out his own niche in Japan as an enforcer for various stables. Having worked for NJPW, Dragon Gate, Zero-1, and NOAH. Cody Hall debuted stateside with Lucha Underground earlier this year. The 6'8" monster will be a force in this tournament. 7) Flyer Representing our partner CMLL, Flyer is one of the better young, well, fliers to be wrestling the Lucha Libre style in CMLL. Fans say his speed will wow, but his aerials will awe. Flyer won his preliminary bout, defeating the NJPW representative, Karl Fredericks. 8) Brent Banks Last but not least, our friends at SMASH! have sent Brent Banks, an athletic 6'3" 185 pounds lightweight with speed and athleticism on his side. Banks was on a big upward trajectory in 2018 after joining IMPACT Wrestling, but he left Impact in early 2019 after falling out of favor and now looks to reboot here with ROH. In addition to the five matches related to the tournament we will also have a number of bouts that will shape the direction of Ring of Honor in 2020. Jeff Cobb vs. Low-Ki This bout was started after Cobb claimed to be the Big Thing in ROH and was bullying opponents after victories. Low-Ki stepped up and took umbrage to Cobb's barren attacks. The next week Jeff Cobb walked out on his partners in a six-man tag bout after Low-Ki was taking advantage of him. Jeff Cobb took offense to the question that he was afraid of taking on Low-Ki face to face to which Cobb leveled the stipulation that if he doesn't beat Low-Ki he'll not challenge for any title in Ring of Honor for the next six months. Low-Ki with nothing to lose, gladly accepted the challenge. The Top Guys {C} vs. The Motor City Machine Guns ROH Tag Titles on the line as The Top Guys put the titles on the line against the returning Motor City Machine Guns. Six months ago the Top Guys captured the titles in a great bout at Glory by Honor beating the Briscoes, since then they defeated all comers but now they face a team that has captured titles all over the world, including Ring of Honor in a bout that promises to capture the attention of fans around the world. Jay Briscoe {C} vs. Will Ospreay Fresh off a stirring victory over his brother at Final Battle, Jay Briscoe promised to be a fighting champion in 2020 and will do battle with Will Ospreay who earned this opportunity by winning a fatal-four-way featuring four winners from our first special event of the year, SMASH! The Halls. Will Ospreay is on what he calls a world tour, and has already began checking the boxes. Who will win the Top Prospect Tournament and earn both a full-time ROH Contract and a title shot at the ROH Television title? Tune in to the Top Prospect Tournament and find out.
  11. Big time, I really enjoy Chris Bey, saw him live in Arizona this summer and just saw so much potential in him... I wound up having to add him to the game (as I've done with a number of guys to keep the game world fresh and updated) and knew I'd want him in this tournament. Guy just drips natural charisma (too bad the game disagrees at the moment lol). As for Low-Ki vs. Cobb... I'm holding out hope that real ROH's Past vs Present show may go down that road.
  12. Road to Top Prospect Tournament (ROH TV January 2020 Recap and Honor Club Specials) ROH TV Week 1, 2020 The year opened up with the Motor City Machine Guns in the ring and announce their return to the tag division. They said that 2020 would be the best year yet for tag team wrestling and that they wanted to prove it by facing The Top Guys for the titles at the Top Prospect Tournament in three weeks. The Top Guys come out and accept the challenge, but before they leave the ring they get in the Guns face and hold the titles high in the air. In the opening bout, Jeff Cobb manhandled RJ City in under a minute, leaving his body motionless in the ring. Cobb refused to leave the ring and continued to beatdown the jobber, which prompted Low-Ki to make his way out to the ring and tell Cobb to pick on someone who can actually put up a fight... In our next squash, Brody King annihilated Cheeseburger. Truth Martini, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett made their way out and offered King a spot in The Kingdom but he just walked right past them and to the back. In the next bout Anthony Henry scored a pinfall over Tom Lawlor in a quick-paced technical bout. Lawlor went for a submission but Henry leveraged him to the ground for a quick 1-2-3. Backstage, Rocky Romero is introducing his "NJPW pick" for the Top Prospect Tournament, Karl Fredericks... he doesn't get fair into the introduction when "Swipe Right" Joe Keys enters the frame and makes some ludicrous claims about his success rate on dating apps carrying over to the ring... The main event was a Fatal-4-Way featuring four winners from SMASH The Halls with the winner earning a title shot at Top Prospect Tournament. Will Ospreay secured the opportunity when he pinned Brian Myers. Flip Gordon and PJ Black were also in the high-paced, high-flying bout. So at Top Prospect Tournament it'll be Jay Briscoe vs. Will Ospreay for the ROH World title. --------------------------------------------------------------------- ROH TV Week 2, January 2020 The show opens with Jay Briscoe making his way out to the ring, he says that he knows Will Ospreay is a world-beater, who travels the globe and proves he's the man, but he's never been able to capture the big gold belt around his waist. He knows that Ospreay isn't here for the next two weeks, and that he'd be flying back exclusively for the title shot, so he'll be jet-lagged. But before that, Jay Briscoe says there is a man who earned a title shot, and next weeks main event will be Jay Briscoe defending the title against Mark Haskins. The opening bout featured Mike Bennett defeating Joe Hendry in a fun bout. Post-bout, The Kingdom of Truth calls for Brody King to join them in the ring... but instead they are jumped from behind by The End. Odinson and Hammerstone clear the ring of The Kingdom of Truth and roar victoriously. Coast 2 Coast defeated The Bouncers in the next bout. LSG looked like a future star here and was buzzing the whole bout. Post-bout though, the lights went out and when they returned LSG and Shaheem Ali were out-cold in the ring covered in blood... Red Balloons suddenly poured out from underneath the ring and floated to the ceiling. Back from break we see Flip Gordon and PJ Black in the ring, this one is announced as a Six-Man tag match but the third partner is unknown... Mark Briscoe makes his way out to the shock of the fans and makes it known he's the third man in the bout. They face off against Marty Scurll, Thomas Latimer and Davey Boy Smith Jr (Villain Enterprises). This one was a banger of a bout. Mark Briscoe scored the win for his team, pinning Thomas Latimer. Briscoe left the ring immediately post-bout but looked very satisfied with his handiwork. Cameras ran backstage where Team Filthy were laying the boots to BJ Whitmer. Lawlor looked into the cameras and promised more pain and suffering for the Workhorsemen in the months to come. In the main event, Low-Ki teamed with the Top Guys to take on Jeff Cobb and the Motor City Machine Guns. This was another great TV bout as Cobb and Low-Ki really went at it with Low-Ki seeming to get the upper hand. At one point he sent Cobb from the ring, which prompted Cobb to walk out. Now a 3 on 2, Low-Ki and the Top Guys took advantage and won the bout, pinning Chris Sabin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROH TV January 2020, Week 3 The show opened with a Top Prospect Tournament preliminary bout between NJPW's Karl Fredericks and CMLL's Flyer. Flyer scored the victory with a huge Swanton Bomb across Fredericks chest. Despite this, Fredericks looked strong and will likely be seen again in the future. Jeff Cobb is backstage and asked about leaving the match last week. Cobb said he's a man and never backs down from a fight, but that wasn't a fair fight. He said his partners were holding him down but that at Top Prospect Tournament Cobb will not only win, he'll rip Low-Ki limb from limb. And if he doesn't, then Jeff Cobb will not be able to challenge for ANY title for six months. In another TPT Preliminary bout, the "Retrosexual" Anthony Greene defeated "Loverboy" Lochy Hendricks in a bout that wasn't really entertaining. Anthony Greene was accompanied to the ring by a busty blonde girl named "Kammi" and that may have been the highlight for many in the stands... As Greene made his way backstage he and Kammi bumped into Dalton Castle who was with a similar looking gal he called "Candy". Dalton high-fives Greene and the men and women wandered off in a strange, non-ROH standard, scene. Back to the ring, The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake) defeated Josh Woods and Tom Lawlor in a tag bout. As they continued to build their feud and avenge BJ Whitmer. Will Ospreay sent a message from London where he is competing for RPW tonight saying that he'll be on a flight in a couple hours and will be heading straight for the arena tomorrow where he will take-on, and take-out whomever is the champion after tonight's main event... ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe defended the title successful against "Overkill" Mark Haskins in a solid main event that will lead us into Top Prospect Tournament nicely. Haskins has been solid recently and is building himself up as a bigger star in the future. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Honor Club Exclusives January 2020 There were a couple Honor Club exclusives that led into the Top Prospect Tournament. In a bout meant to highlight "Mile High Magnum" Dak Draper, he defeated Artemis Spencer. We also had two preliminary Top Prospect Tournament Qualifier bouts that were shown. First, Chris Bey defeated Tito Escondido in a sloppy bout. Chris Bey is athletically gifted and that was showcased. In the second bout we had a dual of second-generation stars as Cody Hall defeated Austin Gunn. Gunn is very green but will likely stick around with Future of Honor. As for Cody Hall, he's looked good in his time in Japan, and this is his first real chance to further showcase himself stateside.
  13. Ring of Honor Presents: SMASH! The Halls Ring of Honor Presents: SMASH! The Halls Live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and available exclusively on the Honor Club The show opened up with Will Ospreay's "World Tour 2020" kicking off with Ospreay securing a victory via OsCutter over "Speedball" Mike Bailey. With the victory, Ospreay can check off "Canada" on his passport of victories! Backstage, Jeff Cobb is approached by Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. Sabin congratulates Cobb on the victory against him at Final Battle and says that he and Shelley really feel like Cobb is the "Next Big Thing in Ring of Honor"... Cobb sneers and says "he isn't the Next Big Thing, he is the BIG THING" and he's looking for a fight. In the Top Prospect Tournament qualifier, Brent Banks punched his ticket to the dance when he defeated Artemis Spencer. Reality TV star RJ City was also in the bout, but didn't really do that much. Arty Spencer has been a big name in the Northwest but here, SMASH's own Brent Banks delivered the Alley-Oop DDT for the victory. The Television Title was defended by Nick Aldis against SMASH!'s Champion Tyson Dux in a really solid back and forth bout. Aldis locked the King's Lynn Cloverleaf and forced Dux to tap out. Backstage Low-Ki confronted Jeff Cobb and told him he better watch what he says in the back because these "walls can talk" and Low-Ki's heard that Cobb is looking for a fight. In a disappointing bout, PJ Black won the Fatal-Four-Way pinning Idris Abraham. Gabriel Fuerza and Flamita were also in the bout and Flamita was the most interesting of the non-ROH stars. In fact, we've heard that Flamita has been approached about making some additional appearances. Flip Gordon started his 2020 with a solid victory against Rocky Romero. Flip told the camera that 2020 would be his year, with or without his friends. Backstage Jay Lethal was interviewed by the cameraman. Lethal said that at Final Battle he left his heart and soul in the ring but couldn't defeat his "Best Rival, and a man he truly respects, Low-Ki". He said that his body is a little beat-up but that after the Top Prospect Tournament, he'll be stepping back into ring and beginning his quest for more gold here in Ring of Honor. The interviewer immediately asked if he'd be targeting any specific belt, and Lethal smiled and just said "I'm after any and all the gold." The next bout saw Brian Myers steal a victory from Dalton Castle with a little bit of help from Kenny King and Shane Taylor. Despite the loss, Castle looked really strong and controlled much of the bout. Myers was dead to rights until King and Taylor stepped in. The Top Guys defended the ROH Tag Titles successful in a solid bout against The Fraternity. The Fraternity have been occasional talents we've seen a few times in 2019, but The Top Guys have their name for a reason and they kicked the new decade off with a win. Post-bout the Motor City Machine Guns made their way out and challenged The Top Guys to a title bout at Top Prospect Tournament. The Top Guys said "we'll never back down from a fight... so hell yeah" In the main event, Mark Haskins and The Briscoe Brothers scored a victory over Villain Enterprises in a great main event. The ROH World Champion scored the pinfall on Thomas Latimer leaving Marty Scurll distraught following a loss. As the show went off the air AJ Kirsch told us he's heard that the first main event of ROH TV 2020 will feature four of the victors from tonight (PJ Black, Flip Gordon, Will Ospreay and Brian Myers) in a fatal-four-way with the winner getting an ROH World Title shot at the Top Prospect Tournament.

  15. 2019 Ring of Honor Review As 2019 effectively came to an end with a killer Final Battle, ROH Television had a quick end of 2019 episode. ROH TV December Week 4, 2019 This show was more of an end of the year filler episode with a couple building points for the 2020 Special that will open the year up in Canada with our partners SMASH! Wrestling, SMASH The Halls. The show opened with Marty Scurll defeating and submitting Mark Haskins in a solid three star opener. Haskins will be looking for a new start in 2020 and we've heard murmurs that he has a newer, meaner side that will be on display in 2020. But in order to unlock that, we saw Villain Enterprises hit the ring post-bout and absolutely annihilate Haskins until The Briscoe Brothers, fresh off their insane battle with each other, rushed the ring and cleared it. Jay grabbed a microphone and announced that at SMASH The Halls, The Briscoes will team with Mark Haskins, and take on and take out Villain Enterprises. Dalton Castle, fresh off his little tiff with Kenny King, defeated King's security guard, Shane Taylor in a surprising bout. Dalton was once again accompanied to the ring by the two "Platinum Hunnies" who still haven't been identified other than being attractive. Backstage Jeff Cobb is seen talking about how he knew that he would easily defeat Chris Sabin... and he did... Alex Shelley walked up and interrupted him saying that Cobb may have won the battle, but the Motor City Machine Guns respect him and respect what he's done... They said this battle may be over for now... but it's not over for ever. We get a slow interview and recap video of the Last Man Standing bout from Final Battle, allowing the fans to relive the glory. In the main event, Will Ospreay's world tour began early as he defeated PJ Black in a great ***1/2 star bout. Ospreay announced that he'd be facing "Speedball" Mike Bailey at SMASH! The Halls as the world tour begins! ----------------------------------------------------------- _____________________________________________________________ OOC: As I wrote the opener to Final Battle on New Years Eve, I knew it would take a bit to finish the show... so I posted the opener only... This is effectively more of a bump post so those who missed it can see the whole PPV which is now posted!

  17. Ring of Honor Build-Up To Final Battle 2019 Like a Phoenix from the ashes, we are back for more. With only four television episodes separating us from Final Battle let's get right into it. Ring of Honor Television November Week 4 2019 Ring of Honor Television Week 1, December 2019 Ring of Honor Television Week 2, December 2019 Ring of Honor Television, December Week 3, 2019 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ring of Honor Final Battle 2019 Preview Final Battle is historical the end of the year for Ring of Honor, it is also the most important event on the calendar. Every superstar in Ring of Honor wants to be featured on the main card. This year the main card features eight bouts all of which we've seen solid builds for on Ring of Honor television. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Truth be told I taught about launching a 2020 Ring of Honor "Restoring Honor" Diary that would run until TEW 2020 comes out with the intention of rebuilding ROH from the shambles it is in right now. But as I started to set it up, I realized I really enjoyed this diary too much to just abruptly end it. I wanted to make sure Final Battle was posted and I've always enjoyed the Top Prospect Tournament as a way to introduce new blood to a game. As I've kept my diary up with some of the real happenings (I created and launched both MLW and AEW in game) and feel like I've kept ROH to its core focus, I think this is a great way to continue and keep building through 2020. While the ebbs and flows of a diary can be tedious, I also think it is great that this has last both two real years, and two game years... This all started after I attended Final Battle Fallout at the 2300 Arena in December of 2017, and this will all continue... I may not love the real direction of ROH, but I'm having fun taking the pieces I enjoy... In 2020 I am introducing a couple specials (starting with SMASH: The Halls) to showcase some talents and create some fun one-offs. In February we will have Unauthorized, where anything can happen and anything goes. March will see the return of the Calle Del Dorado with CMLL. I also have imported some wrestlers into the game who have become bigger names over the last two years, and I'm also open for adding more. I don't want to spoil too many future plans, but I will say that Ring of Honorhausen will continue to bring some stars in, even if for only a night.

Keeping in mind that Fred Yehi is currently one-third of the Six-Man champions, along with Tom Lawlor and Josh Woods, this was a big victory for Marty Scurll. And while the victory moved Marty into the six-man elimination finals, he seemed to have other things on his mind as he immediately cut a promo on Team Filthy stating that he and Davey Boy Smith Jr., have been doing a lot of thinking recently, and they've acknowledged that it is time for the villains to unite... so win or lose tonight, Marty Scurll as the head of "Villain Enterprises" is challenging Team Filthy for the ROH Six-Man titles... the announcer speculate who the third member of their team would be, but in the end we are left in the dark for now. <strong>Marty Scurll defeated Fred Yehi via Crossface Chicken-Wing to advance to the Survival of the Fittest Finals (***1/2).</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">TV Champ Stays Hot</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Nick Aldis, the current ROH TV champion, took down Flip Gordon in a bout that helped to show how much Flip has grown in the last year but that ultimately he isn't at the championship level. Aldis delivered the Tormentum in the middle of the ring and grounded Gordon for a relatively quick victory. The true story here though was the icy staredown that occurred on the ramp when Aldis hadn't left quick enough for Brody King's standards as King made his way down to the ring for his bout... <strong>Nick Aldis defeated Flip Gordon via Tormentum to advance to the Survival of the Fittest Finals (***).</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Death Metal Destroys Pop</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>The Death Metal Rockstar, Brody King, demolished Joe Hendry in their first-round bout. Hendry is a fun character with a ton of charisma, but Brody King's strength and shocking athleticism was far too much for him to handle. In the end, Brody choked Joe Hendry out and made his mark on the tournament in easily the worst bout of the night. <strong>Brody King defeated Joe Hendry (**) to advance to the finals of the Survival of the Fittest.</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Dalton Castle, Fake? So Says Kenny King</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>As Dalton Castle and Jay Lethal did battle in the next bout, Kenny King joined the three-man announce booth and called out Dalton Castle for being a false representative of ROH who never truly earned anything. King played a bit of a race angle here, saying that guys like him and Jay Lethal have been around for years and years and truly clawed their way to the top... When the announcers pointed out that Jay Lethal has proven in the ring, while Kenny King has merely proved it in a the club scene, King too offense and stormed out. In the ring itself, Jay Lethal and Dalton Castle had a hard-hitting bout, but in the end it was Jay Lethal who secured the victory and the spot in the finals... <strong>Jay Lethal defeated Dalton Castle to advance to the final phase of the Survival of the Fittest (***).</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">The House of Truth</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>With Truth Martini and his masked men making a recent impact and targeting The End over the last few weeks, it was no surprise to see Truth Martini here on PPV cutting a promo with his masked men standing behind him. Truth mentioned that under his leadership he led Jay Lethal to the World Title, and he led others to the promised land that is beyond. He says that The End are self-centered and misguided, but that the Truth will set them free. And at Final Battle... Will Ospreay, the modern-day aerial assassin went to extreme lengths to ground Low-Ki, but Low-Ki proved that his fists and feet were weapons of mass destruction as both men laid into eachother at a breakneck pace. The end of the bout saw Will Ospreay look to hit the Os-Cutter only to be met by a kick squarely across the jaw and promptly lifted into a Ki-Krusher 99 that planted him in the middle of the ring. Low-Ki crawled over Ospreay and made the cover for the victory meaning that both members of the semi-feuding No Gimmicks Needed team moved into the finals. <strong>Low-Ki defeated Will Ospreay to punch his ticket to the finals of the Survival of the Fittest (****).</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Lifeblood Promo</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>We get a video promo hyping PJ Black, Bandido and Mark Haskins as a world touring, barnstorming group known as Lifeblood. Mark, who really has never stood out as a singles competitor, held his own against the much heavier Cobb and both men really delivered in this bout. Most of the marks in the crowd and media seemed to think this was a sure-fire victory for Cobb, but they were shocked when Mark Briscoe hit not one, but two Froggy Bow's and secured the biggest "upset" victory of the first round, putting him a mere match away from a title shot against his own brother.<strong> Mark Briscoe defeated Jeff Cobb to advance to the finals of the Survival of the Fittest (***1/2).</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Crockett Cup Recap and Finals</span></strong></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>Prior to getting into the finals of the Crockett Cup, we got a recap summarizing the last month of bouts between the eight participating teams. Highlights were shown of all eight teams and we saw the final standings, which shook out with Pool A being won by the BJ Whitmer managed Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake) and Pool B being won by the NWA represented by Genesis (Thomas Latimer and Royce Isaacs). In the highlight package we also saw Truth Martini and the masked men distract and attack The End, costing them what would have been a likely spot in the finals. On the other side of the bracket, Coast 2 Coast couldn't climb the mountain and lost to a team that many knew only one-half of the partnership known as Genesis.</p><p> </p><p> Prior to the bout itself, KC McKnight and Steven Walters made their way down to the ringside area with the Crockett Cup trophy and a contract stating that the winners would face them at Final Battle. The bout itself had a vintage feel as both teams were interviewed by Bobby Cruise ringside prior to the bout. The Workhorsemen mentioned that this is their mountaintop and they will both capture the Crockett Cup and then the Ring of Honor Tag Titles. As for Genesis, Thomas Latimer mentioned that ten years ago he made the voyage to the USA from England to win titles but do a serious of setbacks he'd never captured a tag title. He said that he was approached by the National Wrestling Alliance to represent them in this bout and allowed him to hand-pick his own partner which led him to find "The Wildcard" Royce Isaacs. He said he and Isaacs may not be the best of friends, but you don't have to be friends to be partners and tonight they'll prove that.</p><p> </p><p> In the bout, Genesis and The Workhorsemen put on a mediocre match for what was the final of a month long "showcase" event. JD Drake is a big, classic looking, brawler and he was hand-picked by BJ Whitmer to partner with Anthony Henry two months ago. Drake and Henry have strong chemistry and have worked together throughout the Southeast. Their chemistry played here as they were able to make crisp tags and keep the fresher man in the ring throughout. Latimer continued to show why he'd be a great full-time addition to Ring of Honor as he held his own, but when he tagged in his partner, the much younger and less-experienced, Royce Isaacs things went downhill as Isaacs was isolated and beaten down allowing The Workhorsemen to capture the victory and the Crockett Cup. Post-bout, The Top Guys slid into the ring and presented the winners with the contract to face them at Final Battle. McKnight and Walters said they respected the style of the Workhorsemen and promised to bring back classic wrestling to Ring of Honor. <strong>The Workhorsemen defeated Genesis to win the Crockett Cup and capture the contract to face The Top Guys for the ROH Tag Titles at Final Battle, (**1/4)</strong>.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Who Will Survive? As the bell rang, all six men began to beat each other down. Naturally Low-Ki and Jay Lethal actually began to work together to take down the largest man, Brody King but King sent them both from the ring. King turned his attention to Nick Aldis and out of nowhere locked him into the same chokehold that he tapped Joe Hendry out with earlier tonight. As Aldis fell out of consciousness, Low-Ki dove back into and actually broke the hold as he caught Brody in the Dragon Sleeper and forced King to tap out...</p><p> </p><p> <em>Brody King has been eliminated</em></p><p> </p><p> Nick Aldis was out cold from King choking him out, and Jay Lethal looked to take advantage and made the cover, but as he slid in and let his guard down, his partner/rival Low-Ki caught him in the same hold that just eliminated Brody King, the Dragon Sleeper and Jay Lethal shockingly tapped out. </p><p> </p><p> <em>Jay Lethal has been eliminated</em></p><p> </p><p> Low-Ki and Lethal had a staredown in the ring after the elimination and this proved to be enough of a distraction for Marty Scurll to catch Low-Ki in the Crossface Chickenwing and mere seconds after Low-Ki tapped Jay Lethal out, Low-Ki found himself tapping out to The Villain...</p><p> </p><p> <em>Low-Ki has been eliminated</em></p><p> </p><p> After the flurry of eliminations, Marty Scurll, Mark Briscoe and Nick Aldis remained in the ring as the final three. Aldis had stirred and was back up in the corner, but Scurll and Briscoe took it out on eachother as they began beating each other senseless. Aldis used this time to fully-recover and looked to score an elimination but instead the Television champ was met by Brody King, who had returned to the ring area and delivered a big boot across the face of Aldis. Scurll made the cover as Brody walked to the back. The announcers speculated that Brody King was the third member of Marty Scurll's group, but Scurll and Brody never actually acknowledged eachother...</p><p> </p><p> <em>Nick Aldis has been eliminated</em></p><p> </p><p> This left Mark Briscoe and Marty Scurll in the ring as the two finalists in the bout. The bout reset and both men went at it, hitting all their signature spots and really making things seem like an even bout. Mark Briscoe went up top for the Froggy Bow, but Scurll moved and caught Briscoe in the Crossface Chickenwing he had Briscoe dead to rights, but Briscoe fought through it and made it to the ropes for a break. As they reset Mark Briscoe delivered doubleknees to the face out of nowhere to Scurll and covered him for a surprise and shocking three count and a victory in the Survival of the Fittest...</p><p> </p><p> <em>Marty Scurll has been eliminated</em></p><p> </p><p> <strong>Mark Briscoe has won the Survival of the Fittest... (***3/4). He promised that at Final Battle, they will tear the house down...</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Final Thoughts</span></span></strong></p><p> The makeover of Ring of Honor has been taking place for two months now and the Survival of the Fittest was a wonderful way to establish some new contenders and stories as we head into the end of year Final Battle. Many of our biggest fans never saw that Mark Briscoe would challenge his brother at Final Battle but frankly it makes a ton of sense as the siblings work so well together as a team, but as anyone with a sibling knows, the best of friends also make your biggest rival and challenge. Beyond this bout we saw that Marty Scurll and Davey Boy Smith Jr will add a third partner to the newly named Villain Enterprises and challenge Team Filthy for the Six-Man Tag Titles. Beyond that, The Workhorsemen captured the Crockett Cup and will face The Top Guys and what promises to be a hard-hitting ROH Tag bout. We also now know that Truth Martini will be presenting his two masked men to take on The End. Judging by the finals, Low-Ki and Jay Lethal will likely face each other at Final Battle, but that should all shake out over the next four weeks.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Overall Rating (***3/4 out of *****)</span></strong></p></div><p></p>

  24. Push "The Hurter" to the moon... that name sounds very NWA 1980's... Entertaining concept.
  25. <p>ROH Television Lead-Up to Survival of the Fittest</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>ROH TV Recaps, Build-Up to Survival of the Fittest</strong></span></span></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> With five episodes of build-up leading into Survival of the Fittest, Ring of Honor looked to get off on the right foot by continuing the Crockett Cup and hosting numerous Survival of the Fittest qualifier bouts.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH TV, October, Week 3, 2019</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> This episode kicked off with a Crockett Cup bout between the CMLL team of <strong>Gran Guerrero and Guerrero Maya Jr.,</strong> (0-1) facing The Fraternity (0-1). <strong>The Fraternity </strong>took a loss in their first bout two weeks ago against <strong>The End</strong>, and <strong>the Guerreros</strong> lost to the <strong>Workhorsemen</strong> last week, so both were looking to head to 1-1. <strong>The Fraternity</strong> were the ones to take the fall as the <strong>Guerreros</strong> secured the victory in a fun opener.</p><p> </p><p> We next saw that in two weeks, <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> would face <strong>Alex Shelley</strong> in a Survival of the Fittest qualifier.</p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring, the <em>Crockett Cup</em> continued with <strong>Coast 2 Coast (0-1)</strong> defeating the listless <strong>Gods of War (0-1)</strong>. <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> took a loss in England during the Honor United, but they rebounded here in a poor match. <strong>Gods of War,</strong> while physically imposing, are really not good in the ring and they clearly serve as the jobbers of this group.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, ROH Television champ <strong>Nick Aldis</strong> says that he felt disrespected by the things that he saw <strong>Kenny King</strong> doing in London during Honor United and we wanted to teach King respect. Next weeks main event will be King vs. Aldis for the TV title.</p><p> </p><p> In a quick bout <strong>Brody King</strong> booted the head off of NJPW Young Lion, <strong>Karl Fredericks</strong>. <strong>Fredericks</strong>, along with <strong>Clark Connors and Alex Coughlin</strong> were brought to ROH for a brief excursion by <strong>Rocky Romero</strong>. <strong>Romero</strong> didn't join <strong>Kazarian and Daniels</strong> when they left for AEW, instead reprising his role in Talent Relations for NJPW. As such, he'll remain a part of the ROH story and in this case, his former muscle (<strong>Brody King</strong>) from SCU 3.0, is ready to make him pay.</p><p> </p><p> We got another promo for two weeks from now, as the first four confirmed Survival of the Fittest participants (out of twelve), will do battle in a tag match. It'll be <strong>No Gimmicks Needed</strong> taking on <strong>Will Ospreay and Jeff Cobb</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> Next we saw a recorded <strong>Briscoes</strong> promo, talking about how they were not scared of anything and how next week <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> will be making an announcement in regards to the Survival of the Fittest...</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> defeated <strong>Rhett Titus</strong> in a bout that was built-up during Honor United. Castle is looking to get back on the right track, and this victory was a nice step!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH TV, Week Four, October 2019</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> We kicked off the episode with another <em>Crockett Cup</em> bout as <strong>Genesis (Royce Isaacs and Thomas Latimer) (1-0) </strong>defeated <strong>The Bouncers (0-1)</strong>. <strong>Latimer</strong> looked like a real star here and would make a nice member of the full-time roster. The young <strong>Isaacs</strong> is still a bit green, but he has the look that could make him a solid addition as well.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jay Briscoe</strong> is out next with a huge announcement about this years <em>Survival of the Fittest</em>. This year the event will feature 12 combatants, with the first four announced last week (<strong>Jeff Cobb, Low-Ki, Jay Lethal, and Will Ospreay</strong>). Their will be six singles bouts with each winner earning an opportunity to do battle in the Main Event in a six-man elimination, mayhem. He turns and looks at his brother... and my brother <strong>Mark</strong>... is the fifth entrant.</p><p> </p><p> The first qualifier bout followed this announcement with <strong>Joe Hendry</strong> defeating <strong>Tracy Williams</strong>. This bout was actually pretty bad, but it got the point across as <strong>Hendry</strong> punched his ticket to the Survival of the Fittest.</p><p> </p><p> We got a recap of the last few weeks on video and that led us into the next bout which was a <em>Crockett Cup</em> bout between two 1-0 teams...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry)</strong> accompanied by <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong>, took on <strong>The End</strong>. <strong>The End</strong>'s multi-month pain streak came to an abrupt halt here when in the middle of the bout, <strong>Truth Martini</strong> made his shocking return to Ring of Honor. <strong>Truth</strong> stood on the ramp and called out to <strong>The End</strong> saying that "The Truth will set them free" this brief distraction allowed <strong>Anthony Henry</strong> to roll-up <strong>Hammerstone</strong> and steal a win...putting the <strong>Workhorsemen</strong> in the drivers seat moving forward.</p><p> </p><p> Post-Match, <strong>Truth</strong> enters the ring and reminds <strong>The End</strong> of his successes with the "<em>Book of Truth</em>" and "<em>The House of Truth</em>"... he leaves the ring as <strong>Odinson and Hammerstone</strong> look frustrated with the shocking loss.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>Nick Aldis</strong> defended his TV Title in a solid television main event against <strong>Kenny King</strong>. Aldis and King went back and forth multiple times, but Aldis controlled the pace and scored the win with the King's Lynn Cloverleaf.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH TV, November Week 1, 2019</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The show opened with another Survival of the Fittest qualifier as <strong>Flip Gordon</strong> scored a shocking upset against <strong>Alex Shelley</strong>. <strong>Shelley</strong> really looked good here and helped make <strong>Gordon</strong> look like a future star. <strong>Gordon</strong>'s victory made him look strong and like a real threat in the future.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage we see <strong>Marty Scurll</strong> and <strong>Davey Boy Smith Jr</strong>., talking. <strong>Scurll</strong> turns and looks at the camera and says they've cut a deal with the devil, but the <em>Villain</em> has bought his way into the Survival of the Fittest and he will win it... </p><p> </p><p> <em>The Crockett Cup</em> continued with <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> (1-1) defeating <strong>The Bouncers</strong> (0-2). <strong>Coast 2 Coast</strong> moved to 2-1, but will need some help as <strong>Genesis (Latimer and Isaacs)</strong> are 2-0 and will be facing the <strong>Gods of War</strong> later tonight. </p><p> </p><p> We get a promo for another Survival of the Fittest qualifier next week that will see <strong>Fred Yehi</strong> take on <strong>Silas Young</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> As was foreshadowed earlier <strong>Genesis (2-0)</strong> defeated the <strong>Gods of War (0-2) </strong>to punch their ticket to <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> and the finals of the Crockett Cup. Once again <strong>Thomas Latimer</strong> looked good here.</p><p> </p><p> The <strong>Top Guys</strong> were out to congratulate <strong>Latimer and Isaacs</strong> and told them they'd be watching closely at Survival of the Fittest.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event, <strong>No Gimmicks Needed</strong> continued to seem to be back on track as <strong>Lethal and Low-Ki</strong> scored the win of <strong>Will Ospreay and Jeff Cobb</strong> in an amazing television main event. This one will be seen on the year-end DVD for sure. What a bout. All four men look like legit threats to win the Survival of the Fittest.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH TV, November Week 2, 2019</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The opening bout saw <strong>The End (1-1)</strong> defeat <strong>The Guerreros (1-1)</strong> and finish the preliminaries at 2-1 and now they'll have to wait a week to see if <strong>The Fraternity</strong> can defeat <strong>The Workhorsemen</strong> and push this into sudden death. Post-Match, <strong>The End</strong> called out <strong>Truth Martini</strong> for costing them the match last week. <strong>Truth</strong> comes out onto the stage and says, "Sorry boys, you had your chance to join my House"... <strong>Two masked men</strong> slide into the ring with a black bat and a pair of brass knuckles and delivered a beat down to the <strong>The End</strong> before joining <strong>Truth Martini</strong> on the stage, still masked.</p><p> </p><p> In the next Survival of the Fittest qualifier, <strong>Fred Yehi</strong> dispatched of <strong>Silas Young</strong> in a solid technical bout. Yehi continues to shine in the ring and as one-third of the Six-Man champs, he's been looking like a breakout star for 2020.</p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> got into it with <strong>Kenny King and Brian Myers</strong>. <strong>Shane Taylor</strong> stepped up to separate them but <strong>Castle</strong> said that tonight, he'll beat <strong>Myers</strong> and punch his ticket to Survival of the Fittest...</p><p> </p><p> We get another look at the current qualifiers for Survival of the Fittest: <strong>Low-Ki, Jay Lethal, Jeff Cobb, Will Ospreay, Marty Scurll, Mark Briscoe, Fred Yehi, Joe Hendry, Flip Gordon and Nick Aldis</strong>. With two spots remaining, we heard that the 11th spot will be filled tonight, and next week, there will be a six-man wildcard bout to fill the final slot!</p><p> </p><p> That 11th ticket was punched when <strong>Dalton Castle</strong> Bang-A-Rang'ed <strong>Brian Myers</strong> into oblivion. Castle's hot streak continues and he's been looking good as the former champion inches closer to a chance at the title again.</p><p> </p><p> As the show went off the air, <strong>Jay and Mark Briscoe</strong> discussed the wildcard bout and announced the six-men who would be participating next week in the main event..., <strong>Brody King, Rocky Romero, PJ Black, Bandido, Mark Haskins and Colt Cabana</strong>.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">ROH TV, November 2019, Week 3</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Backstage, <strong>Marty Scurll and Davey Boy Smith Jr</strong> are discussing "Villain Stuff" and ask the cameraman to leave the room before they make something bad happen...</p><p> </p><p> The <em>Crockett Cup</em> rolled on with <strong>The Workhorsemen (2-0)</strong> punching their ticket to <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> as they defeated <strong>The Fraternity (0-2)</strong>. With <strong>BJ Whitmer</strong> by their side, <strong>Anthony Henry and JD Drake</strong> have looked like a modern wrasslin' team with a solid mix of size, physical in-ring style, and speed. They'll face <strong>Royce Isaacs and Thomas Latimer</strong> at <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> for the right to face the <strong>Top Guys</strong> at Final Battle. Post-match, <strong>Whitmer</strong> speaks for the group but is interrupted by <strong>Latimer and Isaacs</strong> who say that at <em>Survival of the Fittest</em> they will rip the "<strong>Workhorsemen</strong>" from limb to limb... this prompts the <strong>Top Guys</strong> out to the ring who say they are throughly impressed by this and cannot wait to see classic wrasslin' take the drivers seat once again... so at <em>Survival of the Fittest</em>, this bout will be a true barnburner and the winners will face the <strong>Top Guys</strong> for the ROH Tag Titles at Final Battle.</p><p> </p><p> In a bout that was designed to showcase the CMLL representatives <strong>The Guerreros</strong> dispatched the <strong>Gods of War</strong> quickly. <strong>Gran Guerrero and Guerrero Maya Jr.</strong>, are both great wrestlers and really did the promotion proud. They'll likely be seen again here as we cross promote with CMLL more.</p><p> </p><p> We head to a church-looking building where <strong>Truth Martini</strong> is proselytizing to a group of followers. He says that <strong>The End</strong> has crossed "<strong>The Truth</strong>" and now the house will make them pay... He says that "The End is truly coming...and once you cross the House... You'll meet the the makers... His <strong>two masked henchmen</strong> are standing with the same weapons they used to take down <strong>The End</strong> last week. They laugh sinisterly, but don't unmask as the scene ends.</p><p> </p><p> In the main event Six-Man Wildcard bout, <strong>Brody King</strong> secured the final spot in the Survival of the Fittest as he knocked the head off of <strong>Rocky Romero</strong> and cleared the ring of the other four (<strong>Mark Haskins, Bandido, PJ Black, Colt Cabana</strong>). <strong>Brody</strong> has looked strong over the last month and half now that he's been on his own... We went off the air with a full preview of the Survival of the Fittest event that will take place next!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="N99ns65.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N99ns65.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Ring of Honor: Survival of the Fittest Preview</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The 2019 edition of the <strong>Survival of the Fittest</strong> will feature eight pay-per-view bouts. The first six will all be singles bouts with the winners heading to the main event in a Six-Man mayhem, total elimination bout. After those six, we will see the finals of the <strong>Crockett Cup</strong> with the <strong>Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake)</strong> taking on <strong>Genesis (Royce Isaacs and Thomas Latimer)</strong>.
