Diego is still a talented fighter and I was surprised how useless Thiago looked against Kampmann. I think that Diego has a fair shot.

I'm just talking about name value alone. I'm not saying that he will get a title shot even after those guys have stepped up to the plate. But I think the buyrate for a PPV headlined by Lesnar and CroCop would be huge.

Loved the Franklin/Liddell fight. Swinging for the fences, never a lull in the action it was absolutely beautiful. Really enjoyed the co-main event as well, nice to see Mirko get a good win, thought it could have been over quick when I saw him hit the floor in the first. With Mirko getting back to back wins now I would like to see him get in a title eliminator......now I know what you are all thinking, but imagine how big a Lesnar/Cro Cop PPV would be.

Beyond Rashad who else is there? Lyoto needs at least one win before he can get a title shot. Same with Rampage now. Forrest looks like a good candidate but I think they need to do Little Nog vs Griffin with the winner of that fight getting a shot a Shogun (assuming he gets past Rashad)

The fact that she got a tip at all baffles me. If she did that I would be closer to lodging a complaint than giving her money for her own pocket. By all means tip if they do their job, if not, don't give them a dime.

People who say that exams are getting easier because the pass rates are getting higher. I mean c'mon, give the kids a break. As I said, I cannot fully remember now what happened in each round at this time. I know that I gave either round 1 or round 2 to Penn but I'm uncertain of which. I must say Biggz, you are persistant on the issue and I have to admire that. Anyway, hope this post clarified my position. I would also like to say that I did not drink any kool-aid and was not influenced by anybody elses opinion. I also understand what you are saying about effective striking. You are indeed correct and I think Gabbo is taking a more literal definition of "effective". I remember that during the fight, Penn caught Edgar with some crisp punches (most of which were counter punches). But for every 1 clean punch that Penn landed, Edgar landed 3/4. So while I agree that Penn used his boxing ability well, it appeared that on that night Edgar used his better.

To go over your initial question Biggz, I can't fully remember what happened in each round now, but from what I recall I gave the rounds as follows Round1: Penn Round2: Edgar Round3: Edgar Round4: Edgar Round5: Edgar I also watched the fight on mute, as the commentaters have a tendancy to sway the audience.

I would also like to see Florian vs Edgar but maybe Maynard should get a shot as he actually is the only person to have beaten Edgar and he is a contender. I wouldn't be surprised at all though to see Penn vs Edgar II next. Personally I don't like seeing fighters getting a title shot after coming off a loss. Edit: I would like to see Florian vs Edgar for the title next and have Maynard go up against Penn. Winner vs Winner afterwards.

Sure I felt Edgar outworked Penn, outstruck him, he took him down a couple of times and I just felt that overall he was the better fighter. The marks on BJ's face didn't even factor into my judging really as i decided on the scores as they were walking back to the corner. Don't get me wrong BJ did hit a few good counters and I have never underestimated his boxing ability, but by the same token, Edgar hit just as many good counters. After factoring in everything that is how my scorecard wound up as it did. I am not going to accuse you of being a Penn "nuthugger" as everybody seems to be calling people who think BJ won. I can see how some people such as yourself feel BJ did better but I do not believe he won. It's nice having a debate about the fight without resulting to name calling like they do on other forums.
