1. With all respect, if Overeem doesn't win in the first round, does he deserve to be the champion? Surely if he loses to Werdum in an MMA fight in Strikeforce, he should lose the Strikeforce Heavyweight title. If Werdum should lose in the semi-final of the tournament, then whoever beats him deserves the belt. In my humble opinion, if Overeem is in the tournament, he should be defending the title. Otherwise take him out of the tournament and have him face the eventual winner. If you take the fights as being individual unto themselves then you would expect Overeem to be defending his title in a fight against Werdum anyway, so why not have the title on the line in that fight? If Alistair is the better fighter he will beat Werdum. If he loses and keeps his belt, Strikeforce have just put themselves up poop creek without a paddle. Just because the fight is being labelled as being part of a tournament, it doesn't mean that the title shouldn't be on the line. Say Barnett goes on to win the tournament, what does it matter? He isn't going to be the champion, so by definition he isn't the best. The only winner in this tournament is going to be Alistair Overeem, even if he loses he will still be the champion. I don't understand Strikeforce's logic on this one.
2. Just watched the Santiago vs Misaki II fight again. Really nice fight but I still don't think I would have thrown the towel in if I was Misaki's corner. Having said that, I think the referee would have stepped in before the final 24 seconds had elapsed. Had there been over a minute on the clock I most likely would have thrown the towel in, but with 24 seconds to go.......not so sure. Don't take that as me saying they did the wrong thing by throwing the towel in either, I just think I would have left the decision to the ref at that point in the fight.
3. What the Japanese MMA scene could really do with are a couple of Kazushi Sakurabas circa 2000. Somebody who can get the crowd behind them and entertain as well as putting on impressive performances. I have to agree with brashley though, I just don't see it happening any time soon.
4. What is brilliant to me is that effectively in an MMA fight in 4 seconds of round 1, Aoki got sparked by a guy who is a 500 fighter.
5. Just watched Aoki get starched by that second round knee. Not gonna lie, I basically peed my pants laughing.
6. Sky Sports. At least that's where I watched it.
7. You're right. Forgot about Bravo being gone. So we don't get Strikeforce anymore either. Hopefully one day we will get an MMA dedicated channel. Until then I will have to watch most of my MMA online. I forgot to mention in my first list that we did get to watch an M1 Global tournament on Extreme Sports, but it was always the same events and now that has disappeared and we have something called World Combat League. Pretty funny because I saw Cecil Peoples on ref duty and he nearly went arse-over-tea kettle when he tried to seperate two fighters.
8. I wish we had HD Net in the UK. We get UFC and Strikeforce (at seemingly random times for the latter) and some UCMMA. We also get an old ocassional Cage Rage show but no Bellator, no Japanese stuff. I wish we had more.
9. You haven't seen outlandish entrances until you have seen some Genki Sudo.
10. I've lost all interest in Orton now. I do have to admit though that his "serious look" does make me laugh because it looks like he is trying to divide 3747 by 43 in his head and is just getting frustrated with the whole thing.

12. Remember, the Heavyweight division isn't the deepest. Arlovski is easily in the top 20
13.
This is how I scored the Edgar/Maynard fight.

Round 1: Maynard 10-8 (almost 10-7)

Round 2: Edgar 10-9

Round 3: Edgar 10-9

Round 4: Edgar 10-9

Round 5: Draw 10-10

End score: 48-47 Edgar

14. If Madison didn't sound like a poodle violating a set of bagpipes I wouldn't mind watching her wrestle because she is improving a lot.
15. This is something I strongly agree with. Layla has come along in leaps and bounds and I don't mind watching her go against the likes of Natalya and Phoenix. I'm not saying Michelle McCool is a master of technicality but all things taken into account I don't think she is that bad. I would still much rather watch a Lacey/Daizee Haze match but there you go.
16. I have to say that I feel Michelle gets a lot more flack than she deserves, she is better than most give her credit for IMO.
17. Some decisions WWE make really baffle me. Back when they released the likes of Shelton Benjamin, Carlito etc. I gave up and stopped watching completely.
18. One of the few reasons I enjoy watching WWE gone. Good work WWE! Oh, while you're at it can you give Daniel Bryan the boot. God forbid someone I like should succeed.
19. I would love to see a Duffee/Overeem fight. Although it would look like an Overeem win on paper, Duffee could tip the apple cart. Sandro and Hioki should be a tidy little affair as well. I think Sandro will take it though.
20. Absolutely love it. Norwegian Recycling has put out some very tasty mash ups: How Six Songs Collide: When 8 Become 1: Sorry For I Mashed You: Those are just three of what this guy has done. Very talented indeed.
21. Don't know if you have heard this mix but it is quality all the way. Jay-Z and the Verve - Bittersweet Dirt of Ya Shoulder http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGEWETWCI1U&feature=related
22. I may throw my hat into the MMA ring/cage if that is the case. I'll just run around, flailing my arms like a kamikaze windmill and that should get me through. Don't know about everyone else, but I scored it 30-27 to Phan.
23. Can someone explain to me how in the hell Leonard Garcia beat Nam Phan? What a joke of a decision and it further proves that Garcia is the luckiest man in MMA.
24. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised with Kaval's mic work as well.
