  1. Floating booking ideas may make things a little more convenient, but really it wasn't really that much of a hassle to just try booking the worker in what you want him to do on a random early show to see if he rejects (as long as you don't run the show it can always be undone). As has been already mentioned, a real improvement will be to have the option of offering the worker incentives to be more agreeable to your booking ideas.
  2. And Whitehead continues to underwhelm, pulling another E- main event and worst match of the night. Time to take the title off him and give it to the Wrestling God Anders Thunder, who totally carried the new whatshisname to an E+ match of the night!
  3. Poor Seth getting jumped by the cyber-bullies for touting the company he works for! >.>
  4. If "match style" is going to be completely removed on the assumption that the same purpose is served through "match aims", then I really hope you allow more than 1 match aim per match now, because half the existing match aims in TEW16 aren't style-specific. Previously, I can book a "Spectacle" or "Epic" match aim and still take advantage of my workers' Brawling stats by using a Brawl-based match style for the match. If match style were to disappear from TEW16 then my only option to take advantage of Brawling stats would be "Wild Brawl", which will penalize me for trying to book a 30-minute epic between 2 brawlers due to the automatic penalty on matches lasting over 15 minutes for that aim. I'm fine with match-styles being integrated into Road Agent notes, but I strongly suggest that it be kept separate from match aim (we get to choose "match style" in our RA notes instead of match aims) OR we are allowed to set multiple match aims per match. Otherwise it just adds unnecessary limitations to our match-booking options.
  5. The women's battle royal this week......I think the "competitor gets thrown out through/under the ropes mid-match and remains outside until the end and sneaks back in to eliminate last remaining opponent" ending is getting overdone these days, and totally gave away the ending mid-match. Still, I like that they seem to see huge upside in Xia Brookside, not only making her the runner-up but actually letting her eliminate ALL 3 "giants" of the match. I'm definitely a fan, and she has potential to be the face of the division one day. Banks getting his title match next week instead of the next Takeover......looks like they agree with me that he isn't really a credible enough contender yet and they need a bigger main event than Walter vs Banks for Takeover.
  6. <p>I'm assuming they're trying to sell Ilja Dragunov as some intense, dangerous guy, but so far it's having the wrong effect on me. I just find him hilarious. The match with Conners doesn't feel very coordinated either, it felt like he did that missed crossbody about 2 seconds after his opponent ducked down. Add the fact that every action he does is so exaggerated....if I were watching this show for the first time I might have thought this was a comedy match.</p><p> </p><p> I wouldn't even be too upset about that. I actually like a lot of comedy wrestlers. But I suspect this is not what they're looking to portray.</p><p> </p><p> And the current title scene confirmed a little of my fears. They don't really have anyone besides Mastiff that felt like a big enough threat to Walters. Banks hasn't really been built up to look like a credible threat even in a 1-on-1 fight, much less against full stable. I know Walters isn't likely to drop the title to the first challenger anyway, but with Banks they'll have a lot of work to do get me to suspend my disbelief for even a few seconds that he just might win.</p>
  7. <p>They went and saddled Yuka and Riho with <em>Nyla Rose</em>? Bah!</p><p> </p><p> They'll likely have to put her over too, since she's the only confirmed full-time roster member out of the 3. Not that I'm against them putting over the full-time roster, but do they really have to feed these 2 to their worst female performer? She's was easily the weakest of the 4 in that DoN match.</p><p> </p><p> Here's hoping I'm wrong.....</p>

At least, I don't remember ever watching him before he came to NXT.</p>

Is the addiction really <em>that</em> bad? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Genuine curiosity.</p>
  10. Well, you've got this reader hooked! Looking forward to your first show.
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="milamber" data-cite="milamber" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It was arguably the weakest match on the show (followed closely by Shayna/Io because of the dumb finish) but still worth a watch if you are a fan of both. <p> </p><p> Watch Riddle vs Strong if you want to see one of the best pure workrate matches of the year.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Workrate comes second to me. I mostly watch for characters that I want to cheer for, unless it's a debut show like AEW Double of Nothing since it's too early for characters to be properly established so I'd judge mainly on the ring work. That's mostly why I stopped watching NXT US. So sick of Undisputed Era playing generic dominating heel stable #89080680586 (well, that, and Gargano's face run being abysmally booked with unnecessary turns and inconsistent personality, but I've already said a lot about that). They neither stand out to me as individuals or as a stable. All the members talk and wrestle so similarly that they feel piratically interchangeable. I'm not even sure why Adam Cole is their leader other than maybe him being the bigger singles star back in ROH (no idea, since I haven't watched it in years). It feels like if you were to take Cole out of one of his matches and replace him with one of the other tag team guys you'll get almost the exact same match.</p><p> </p><p> I watched Gargano and Cole wrestle each other 3 times at the last Takeover and found myself just longing for the match to end since there was no one I wanted to cheer for in that match.</p><p> </p><p> Riddle's ring work is fine, but I can't bring myself to cheer for someone who sounds like he's high on drugs all the time.</p><p> </p><p> I'd look for Dream/Breeze and possibly the ladder match (I like Street Profits and Lorcan/Burch).</p>
  12. E-? Pfft, this is what happens when you take the title off your horror icon and mascot. Martyr was putting up consistent E and E+ main events!
  13. Dang, I wasn't aware that they booked Velveteen Dream vs Tyler Breeze for the NA Title. Now I almost regret skipping Takeover XXV. Need to hunt that match down......somehow.
  14. <p>Great to see Gentleman Jack on NXT UK, which is the only weekly WWE show I still find watchable. And even better to see him working as babyface again. That pointless heel turn on 205 did nothing besides remove everything that was interesting about him.</p><p> </p><p> Here's hoping they promote him to that show full-time after that great performance. He needs to get out of that Cruiserweight hell-hole asap.</p>
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="fullMETAL" data-cite="fullMETAL" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46243" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>On a different note, I think that, while definitely a unique twist on the formula, <strong>having groups of 5 entering the Casino Battle Royale at each interval definitely diluted the impact that individual entrance</strong>s (at, say, 60 second intervals) would've made, though I understand if it was done that way in the interest of time constraints on the broadcast.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Personally, I'm inclined to think that they did multi-man entrances because they were afraid that most of the individual entrances will receive crickets for reaction since there was no big names in that match. It was a way to "pack" the reactions for multiple competitors together to garner a more responsive crowd.</p>

I said it was a good thing that not every Elite member win.</p><p> </p><p> Although I'd rather have preferred it if the Bucks lost and and I wouldn't mind too much if Omega won instead.</p>
  17. <p>Good, they broke the trend of Elite clean sweep. Omega is the biggest star in the Elites and also the only one who didn't book himself to win.</p><p> </p><p> Ambrose just rekindled that feud with Jericho over a murdered potted plant!</p><p> </p><p> Main event delivered, so good show. It hasn't hooked me to it follow the way LU did, but I'd be happy to keep an eye out for their TV show when it finally starts. That's when I'd be able to tell if they're consistent with storytelling and character, which is what I watch wrestling for. Right now the only story that sticks with me is Cody/Dustin. Still hasn't see enough to care about most of the characters beyond the few that I've watched in other companies before. First impression is that I haven't seen any really likeable characters at all besides people like Riho and Sakazaki who aren't signed for the long-term.</p>
  18. <p>Ok, they definitely could have cut down a little on the finisher spams at the end. Other than that, great match.</p><p> </p><p> According to TEW you just need 2 great matches (including main event) to make a successful show, and we now have 2 matches that can fill the potential show-stealer spot (Cody/Dustin & Lucha Bros/Bucks). Now we just need the main event to deliver.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: I also hope that this trend of "The Elite and their buddies win" doesn't become a thing for AEW. It's bad enough to have a Triple H or Jeff Jarrett booking themselves in the spotlight, it'd be worse to have a whole clique of guys doing it. I understand why they're doing it for their first show, I just hope it doesn't persist.</p>
  19. I've been hearing about how the Lucha Bros have become rather lazy workers who dial it in while they were on Impact (which I don't watch), but I'm glad to see that either the rumours were fake or they are clearly on their game tonight. Awesome match thus far!
  20. <p>Tye Dilinger coming out #10 in Battle Royals was a tired joke the last time WWE used it, please don't make this a thing in AEW.</p><p> </p><p> They used their hiring of a transgender wrestler to generate some media buzz, but it's beginning to look like the transgender thing might be the only reason they hired her, because she's pretty dire in the ring as far as I can see.</p><p> </p><p> Shame about the mess-up in the joshi match, they could have used a more auspicious introduction to the American crowd. Still, the fact that all of them besides Aja came in to dead crowds and actually succeeded in waking them up during the match says a lot about their skills.</p><p> </p><p> JR needs to go.....I'm sure his input as Senior Advisor is still valuable, but his commentary is terrible these days. JR will probably be happy about that, since he sounds like he didn't even want to be there.</p><p> </p><p> Oh, and the constant jabs at WWE and Triple H needs to stop too. I don't even watch WWE anymore, and I could care less what AEW thinks of them. Get your own ---- together before you worry about how bad another company is.</p><p> </p><p> Always enjoyed Goldust's work, but this match reminds me a bit of back when TNA was trying too hard to scream "WE'RE NOT PG LIKE WWE". Excessive bleeding exposing asses on screen just strikes me as trying too hard. Thank God they didn't stoop to unprotected chairshots.</p><p> </p><p> I got high expectations for the last 2 matches, especially the main event. Hope they don't disappoint.</p>
  21. The topic title got me excited for a few seconds because I thought there was actually someone else other than me around here who knows about/watches Singapore Pro Wrestling. >.>
  22. Less than 1 day to the company's debut show (I don't count All In since that was more of a multi-brand Supershow that also included NWA/ROH/New Japan input)! Still cautiously optimistic at the moment and hoping that this will restore some of my interest in the American Wrestling scene (which had been at an all-time low ever since Lucha Underground was seemingly on its deathbed).
  23. Wait, why is there a new champion?? WTH happened to Martyr?
  24. I know your champion already has a horror-themed gimmick, but with so many of your event names being horror-themed I'm a little disappointed that there aren't more horror movies tropes on your shows. A little more of that and it'll be perfect. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

With the current system we have the option to change the product of any company if we don't agree with the modmaker's view of what this company's product really is. I may not want to play another person's vision of WWE or NJPW even if I want to play as WWE or NJPW. It wouldn't be possible (I think) with the new system to preset 10+ different versions of product for each existing company (which may not even be enough) to satisfy individual players, wil it? In effect, everyone will only be playing what the <em>majority</em> of how other players view their favourite companies and it sucks for those who may disagree with the majority view.</p>
