1.
End of Year 2021

So the brand splitting worked out ok particularly when I started to actively book the Chicago brand so I could get their shows put on East Coast Today as well. We eventually got the required pop by October 2020 to get onto OnDem. So we finally have our own TV show which should see us reach National in the mere matter of 3 years or so. I tried to use the opportunity to book an invasion angle when I merged the 2 brands but that Went almost as well as the WWE invasion - I couldn't figure out a way to deal with the face/heel situation so I quickly ditched the whole thing. Merging the 2 brands meant I had way too many workers so I've opened a dev territory.

I'm completely bewildered by the match ratings. It seems that my main events have started a trend of being the worst rated match on our card. I can't fathom it. I was regularly getting A matches on my main shows in 2020 but its much more of a struggle in 2021 for some reason.

We seem to have had a spate of pain-killer abuse at the company - Captain Wrestling II, Annihulus and Cobra have all been sent to rehab - I said no, no, no. Our big signing at the end of November was Shooter Sean Deeley who, hopefully, will provide the psych and Selling to stop our main events from stinking up the shop. (Relatively speaking).

End of 2021

2020 +5 Aerial

2021 +5 consistency

My guy is still putting on top row stats and selling but is pretty much maxed out in everything else. Stamina is still his main issue. He spent most of the year teamed up with Yoshima Mushashibo to get Yoshi a decent title run before we had to let him go (wish he would have retired from the ring so I could have hired him as a road agent). Made Young Wrestler of the Year 2 years in a row which probably isn't a bit surprise.

http://i.imgur.com/WNZfi5y.gif

King of New York (ME): Ernest Youngman - probably our most consistently great wrestler.

Pennsylvania Title (Midcard): Roderick Remus

Tag Titles: Xavi Ferrera/Shooter Sean Deeley (Masters of the Ring)

Duke of the Bronx (Tournament): American Elemental II

Challenge status

David Narcizo - American Pro Wrestling Federation (Cult)

Game Date: January 2022

Best UC Match so far: 95 vs Cobra (February 2020)

Problem is I'm not really gaining in popularity or in importance and I'm not sure what my next step should be.

Firstly are you shows good enough to be gaining you popularity? I would imagine they are but just checking. To get maximum increase you need a couple of grades higher in your shows than your popularity.

Problem could be that the wrestling industry is in the crapper in Canada at the moment. If your wrestling industry is under 25 then you can only gain +0.2 popularity with each show. When that happened to me I just went to one show a month and waited it out. Otherwise you probably want to be running a show a week if you can afford it.

Looking at the broadcasters I think I'd be looking to get onto Channel 6 - you'll need to get 28 popularity in 4 regions in Canada to qualify for a deal with them. Build up in your home region so you get a lot of spillover into other Canadian regions and then try to get them up to 28. If you lose too much money have one show in your home region to bring in the money and another show on the road to reach your aim of 28. Once you get a deal with Channel 6 then all your shows will gain you popularity in all regions in Canada (and the British Isles as an additional bonus). From there on our its just a matter of putting on good shows all the way to National. (you might want to change broadcaster once other ones become available to you).

Economy and industry are on the rise. Should I add a new show?

Well from my new found experience I would suggest looking at the broadcaster details in the editor and seeing exactly what you will need to be able to expand. You need to find what popularity you'll need and in how many regions to get a show. (OPtions -> Edit Data -> Broadcasters and look at min Company size and min popularity and the field under it, which shows you how many areas you need). I wasn't happy with having to look at the details but there's no real way to plan otherwise). The other option is to just stay in one area and accumulate the 14-15 million you'll need to create your own broadcaster.

To get to cult you need popularity in 2 areas - so you going to have to put on shows in other areas. Once you hit Cult you accrue a lot more costs so you want to try and get Everything set up before you make the step up (not like I have done which is now costing me a shedload of money).

Are you playing in the default database or a different one? If you're in the default CV - which region are you based in?

 4. Yeah - my strategy has been completely wrong from the start because I was playing based on what you did in 2007 or 2010. I should have started my second region as MidSouth rather than New England, and gone full brand split from that point onwards. But OnDem does look doable if I can get the East Coast TV Show and just move my Texas branch up to the Great Lakes where I have spillover from the TriStates. That should actually work. I think it should take about a year from now to get on On Dem. Thanks for the advice. I was close to throwing in the towel on this or restarting.

To get TV in Puerto Rico you just need to have pop there, there's also a TV for the whole Eastern Coast where you only need to be regional. Canal Dos in Mexico has some coverage in the US and works with cult companies no matter the pop.

But yeah, getting a deal if you're in Northwest or South East sounds very hard, Great Lakes too.

The problem there is that it only covers 4 areas which is pretty much useless - more so Puerto Rico which (pointlessly) covers one area that you'll pop anyway.

I'm going for a brand split -one in the MA to get the East Coast gig - and another in Texas to get spillover in 3 other areas to aim for the 8 areas. Auto- book comes into its own in this situation.

 6. Urgh! Did the way broadcasters work get changed in 2013? When I played if you got to Cult there's was always a broadcaster you could get. Now you have to be popular in 8 regions or so. Now I understand about sticking in just one region and getting big enough to buy your own broadcaster. Oterwise it's a case of going on the road a lot and probably losing a lot of money on the way. Well that sucks. Either way is going to take a long time.

I tried running a show once every two months using a hardcore product (obviously that didn't work). So I'm going to be doing another attempt tomorrow with a product more favourable towards sponsorship. Anyway my question is should I be running weekly shows for the first few months, then cool it off?

I think that was the idea in earlier patches but I don't know how recent changes have impacted that. Aren't show costs lower now? In which case I would imagine that that's the way to go. And get guys who want very low wages.

I turned Joffy Laine into my John Cena and I end up feeding everyone to Joffy. The only problem I have with Austin is that every time I had Joffy wrestle him Austin would botch and put Joffy on the shelf. I had to meddle a good relationship for them so Joffy would stop getting mad at him for injuring him. Austin is now my Dolph Ziggler and seems content with the role.

Yeah, Smooth has really managed to piss people off with injuries. He was the guy who injured The Architect, getting him on pain-killers. oh and Danger Kuwasara, who turned half the locker against him. Luckily I smoothed (ahem) things over there. To be honest I'm not sure why I kept him after all the grief he caused. He always seems to miss out on feuds for some reason as well - the nearest thing he's had is a long-running, on-off-on feud with Seth Whitehead. Who's in the same boat. I guess I should use his as a gatekeeper.

This guy is amazing...I raised him up the card on a slow burn and he is now my go to heel. He always delivers matches that are great for me!

He's main event in my game. I have a thing for snaky/culty things. He started a cult faction with Annihulus (who's turned into a decent worker- he can even call in the ring). I think the snake thing probably means he'll never be the main heel for us though. They provide the monster distraction to whatever main event face isn't in a title feud.

Austin Smooth is one who doesn't like losing unless he's kept strong.

 10. Very negative influence for me. I think I pushed him too hard and praised him too much - but it's easy to get carried away when he pulls great matches off against anyone. He also picked up a painkiller habit from The Architect. He doesn't mind jobbing though and my locker room can take the v negative influence without too much concern now. I have a bigger problem with workers who are over in the whole of the US as they get in a strop if they job to someone who's more popular in our home region (you know the area that actually matters to a regional or less promotion). - Yes I'm looking at you Star Master.
 11. End of Year 2019 I got tired of bashing my head against the brick wall of a wrestling industry in the toilet so I dialed back to one show a month. That meant that pretty much everyone did worse, particularly when I started using auto-booking. Still feels like a trek to reach Cult. Although now we're entering the +.5 pop a show range it should be doable this year. Having become the figurehead I went ahead and put the title on myself in the middle of the year. I'm trying to figure a way to get it off myself again as it feels wrong to be winning all the time. I need to rehaul all my storylines as well as they have pretty much drifted while we were at one show a month. 12.
End of Year 2018

Still trudging through the wasteland of a wrestling industry in the toilet trying to reach Cult. As we're not really making much money it's probably just as well that it's taking longer than I thought to reach. JOJI was the only worker taking a written contract as he joined the (very briefly) national WLW. I had to boot Danger Kumasaka because he was turning the whole roster against Austin Smooth and he really wasn't worth it. The Architect picked up a painkiller dependency and despite being in a clique with Logan and Xavi I eventually had to boot him. Luckily I had built up their happiness with good booking so they weren't too pissed off.

I wenthalf a year without a pyschology teacher but in the end solved it by getting both Tadiyuki Kikkawa AND Yoshimi Mushashibo. So a once in a lifetime match can be booked some time in the future. It will have to be soon tough as Tadiyuki is 16 years into times decline. But I need to get their pop and momentum up. Shouldn't be too hard though as they are in a stable with me and I've finally bitten the bullet and made myself figurehead.

End of 2018

End of 2017

End of 2016

2016 Roll: 35 Making Movies - +5 Star Quality, miss a month

2017 Roll: 30 You can dance if you wanna. +5 Safety

2018 Roll: 47 A New Beginning: Change to any style. 13. I haven't played since TEW 2010 and I have to say I'm loving the backstage stuff. So LOgan, Xavi, The Architect and Joji have created a clique. Fair enough I thought they're all positive influences it can only lead to a happier place. Untill Austin Smooth botched a move and injured The Architect. Smooth had already got heat for injuring Danger Kumasaka which I had to spend ages clearing up as Danger turned loads of the locker against Austin, including the Architect. While the Architect was injured he started using painkillers. So now he's back from injury he's pissing off everyone in a match with him. But if I try to let him go the clique "recommend" that I don't do it. So what to do? Piss off half my main eventers or piss off the rest of the locker room. Love it.
 14. End of Year 2017 So we're chugging along at regional halfway to Cult (50 importance TriState and 24 New England). I've started running 3 shows in New England with just the monthly finale in the TriState. I think that will see me hit Cult before the end of 2018 unless the Industry really hits the toilet. The fact that we've had nearly 100 shows means that all my workers can actually work - even the likes of Annihulus is getting up to passable pyschology. We're ranked 16th in the World and 4th in the US after the big three who are all at Cult. It looks like SOTBPW's star power is enough to see them rule the world. (They hired Champagne Lover back after a year's absence). Personally I seemed to really flourish around September and became the most over employee in the TriStates despite not actually beating anyone with more pop than me. All my entertaiment skills improved - unfortunately my in ring skills are still mediocre at best and I need better selling. Halfway through the year I took the chance to bump up my psychology which seemed to be plateauing by hiring the 68-year old Danger Kumasaka. He had been let go by PGHW after breaking his neck in January 2016 and no-one in Japan was interested in getting him. He now earns twice as much as nearly everyone else on our roster, puts (at best) on bland midcard matches but, most importantly, he's kick started my psychology improvement again. As a bonus he had excellent chemistry when teamed with me and by the end of the year we were good enough that I could put the tag titles on us. End of 2017 End of 2016 An increase of 4 might not seem much but I was starting to give up hope of ever getting over 80 psychology. 2016 Roll: 35 Making Movies - +5 Star Quality, miss a month 2017 Roll: 30 You can dance if you wanna. +5 Safety (not really an area of priority although Avalanche Takano probabaly doesn't agree. He dislikes me after I've injured him not once, but twice. Luckily he's back off to Japan soon). I guess as the most over worker I should think about making myself figurehead at some stage but I can't bring myself to book myself to win most of my matches and my match performances don't really warrant it. That's the problem with perf over popularity feds. King of New York (ME): Logan Wolfsbaine Pennsylvania Title (Midcard): The Architect Tag Titles: David Narcizo/Danger Kumasaka "Clear and Present" Duke of the Bronx (Tournament): Avalance Takano http://i.imgur.com/ETBih1n.gif We've only lost two guys Davis Wayne Newton (TCW) and Fro Sure (SWF). I'm not really bothered by either. DWN wasn't really with us very long and Fro Sure never really shined as I felt he should and always complained about losing matches. (Probably because his overall pop in the US was higher than anyone elses). I am happy about Kid Fantastic making the list as he's always been at Enhancement or Opener level but he manages to help make some decent matches. 2017 Wrestler of the year El Leon Company of the year BHOTWG - safely cut off from the Star Power that is SOTBPW they can stay at National. Match of the year Kozue Kawashima beats Chojiro Kitoaji at BHOTWG Lords of the Ring. Show of the year BHOTWG Summit Challenge II in August. Kinnojo Horri tied with Hiroaki Nakasawa and Kozue Kawashim defeated Akinori Kwakami. Young Wrestler of the year Sir Winston Wataga - upper midcard at WLW. Getting to fight Emerald Angel on multiple occasions will do that for you. Veteran of the year Sean McFly. Lasts year's wrestler of the year becomes the veteran wrestler. Only 8 och so A* matches this year compared to 25 last year. Basically the wrestling industry was A and rising which meant that I could expand quickly and get back in the black by the end of September despite running a show a week. I was also ultra-frugal with wages. And playing in the Tri-States. Once I hit regional every show I run actually makes a profit. Theoretically I could run 16 shows a month - but I'd burn myself out doing that.

Soon have to start thinking about visiting another region to start moving to Cult. But that will cost me.

 16. Finally got to the end of the first year. Running 47 shows in the year will make it take it's time. I've been far more interested in my company than my user character who, to be blunt, isn't really cut out for the product I've created. Still it's only the first year and the 47 shows have seen him really improve. http://i.imgur.com/grTqgMK.gif I started off as a heel and was a legendary Punk. Unfortunately I forgot that that was a heel gimmick and changed to face and had to change my gimmick. My chain and mat skills are too low to get very good scores. Dunno why my selling hasn't improved - seems to be a trend with the wrestler we have though. I was planning on winning the newly created midcard title in November but couldn't bring myself to do it and let Cobra go over instead. Rolled 35 for the end of the year so I guess I'll be making a movie during January and miss 4 shows. I won't be missed in all honesty. I'm hanging around the midcard like a bad smell and can't put on the performances that would justify moving up. The company is at regional and is ranked 23rd in the World and 8th in the US. Not surprisingly we got the Year End award for most improved promotion. Wrestler of year - Sean McFly Company of the year - NOTBPW (their ability to put on A/A* matches seems to be outweighing the fact that USPW has a lot more star power than them. They did lose Steve McColt to enhancement hell in USPW though) Match of the Year - Steve DeColt defeats Duane Stone Show of the Year - SOTBPW Aniversario XIX headlined by Champagne Lover, Multimillionario and Pirata. Just before Champagne Lover got sacked for consorting with prostitutes. He is now the biggest free agent and no-one will touch him. Young Wrestler of the Year Jormungard, thanks in part to a 93 rated match with Champagne Lover. Veteran Wrestler of the Year Steve DeColt. Enjoy it while it lasts Steve as you're now condemned to dark matches putting over Mick Muscles. Female Wresler Shiori Jippensha. Team of the Year Kozue Kawashima and Pride Koisopridepriodppppride We got 5 performers in the Power 500 394 Logan Wolfsbaine, 2 time face champ - unofficial face of the company. 411 Xavi Ferrera, current heel champ 448 Avalanche Takano, heel champ 478 The Silencer, first ever champ, heel 482 The Architect (feuded with Logan) The prestige of the title was up to 100 briefly but that's when Logan has it. Xavi has seen it down to 85. Anyway I'm starting to get to the stage that I can boot the guys I hired solely because of their wage demands and start getting in som more quality workers.
 17. You can look for a small company although the chances are they won't accept you. A local company seems to open quite often in Britain - HIW.
 18. I think the owner has to be on a ppa deal to work for free.
 19. This has happened in my game as well. I don't know if it's just their shows not being good enough or what. Tends to be the way with 21CW (from TEW2010 anyway). I thought I'd have a go at this but it was a long time since I last played. (5 years) so I opted for a pretty gamey product. http://i.imgur.com/wQZmZyH.gif This is a variant of a product Reminian posted about for TEW2010 that I had my longest game with in that version (got to 2020 or so) - I thought the combination of perf > pop but good for Sponsorship should do well in a situation where I need everything I can get at the start. http://i.imgur.com/vvV7HBl.gif I suspected I wasn't picking the smartest choices here but overall I wanted an all-rounder who would be favourable to the big companies in the US. Again pretty gamey but it's my first time so I wanted to go easy on myself. IN retrospect I could probably have stood to lower my entertainment skills and put them into Physical or the top row skills, as entertainment skills are the easiest to improve. Anyway I'm halfway through the first year and things are going well although my finances are a constant source of worry.
 20. In my RTG game champion Logan Wolfsbaine and Xavi Ferrera have great tag chemistry together in the first ever tag match I felt I could afford. This makes me disproportionately happy. So I meddled in their relationship and they're now strong friends. Which no doubt means they'll both leave for USPW within the month
