1.
Check this cat's gallery out on deviantart. He's got a fair amount of wrestling themed freebies for Daz and a few decently priced masks you can pick up on the cheap if buying content from unlicensed strangers is your thing. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

http://sedartonfokcaj.deviantart.com/

 2.
Ah, I see your point.

I apologize for having a dissenting opinion and will refrain from offering any in the future. Instead I'll continue to waste my money on G3 for my high poly 150x150 pretentious crap.

I'll take a look at it again. Honestly, the very reasons you mention as their plusses might be minuses to me. If it's too realistic, I think it turns me off in my own renders. I prefer to make it a little cartoony but that's just my style. I've seen people like yourself and Poputt use a more realistic style and loved them.

I agree 100% on the textures. It doesn't have the ability to use the Omnifreaker shader on them because it's missing that setup and they come out not looking right at all to me. I ended up picking up the Legacy UV set for M4 textures and that's helped some but there's still something about G3M that turns me off. I'm gonna play around with the limits though like you suggested. Thanks!

The reason it doesn't use the Omnifreaker shader is that G3 was designed primarily for Iray which automatically calculates for subsurface shading and scatter. The downside to that is if you, like me, don't have an Iray comparable video card, you need to use a third party render engine or find some non Iray textures. The other negative is that if you are unfamiliar with Iray rendering, figuring out the settings is a suckfest.

I absolutely hate G3M as it's so freakin' "stiff". M4, to me, remains the most fluid and easy to work with, especially with expressions.

The G3 models default load with the limits turned on. Turn them off and it's a world of difference.

For anyone looking to start doing Daz renders with us, avoid Genesis 3. It's a complete waste of money. Just get Gen2 models and Gen1 and Gen2 clothes/hairs on sale.

I happen to think that G3 renders quite well. It's extremely realistic, has a high poly count that doesn't overly tax lower end machines, poses and expresses with more realism and without the awkward joint clipping you find in the Gen 4 characters. Plus, it uses the auto fit scripts better than any of the other Genesis models. My only knock on G3 is that quite a few of the textures are garbage and the ones that aren't top notch require a LOT of tweaking.

 7. Nice! I'm in need of referees. I'd do them myself but I don't have the money for a black and white striped shirt or the motivation to create a texture for one. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Exaggerated features on a male character can work in a comic book aesthetic. The hard, defined lines and angles of a male face lend themselves to overemphasis without looking grotesque; a quality that does not mesh well with the softer features of a female. The same applies to expressions which, in my opinion matter even more. A subtle expression as opposed to an exaggerated, over the top expression can make a world of difference in a render.

Anyway, just my $.02. I have a picture of Haley Buck cooking right now. I will post when it is finished.

 15. True. That being said though, you can download the basic Gen3 figures and there's a utility Called Iray Converter that cost like $28 US and will convert all of your V4/M4 skins to Iray.

I think that lighting loses some of the details. I know, even in 3Delight, that sometimes my render will look awesome in the view pane and when it renders I'm like "eh, I liked it better before". It's kind of like cartooning...you have these beautiful pencils and sometimes the inking lessens it.

It's supposed to be the exact opposite. Iray is supposed to be faster and more realistic. Iray is an unbiased render engine so, unlike 3Dlight, you have to treat the lights you use like real world lights otherwise your renders will end up looking cartoony or like the figures are made out of clay. Also, you need to use textures that are specifically created for Iray to achieve maximum effect without having to tweak the heck out of them.

 17.
I really dig your renders will, extremely well done. One request though, if I may? For my personal tastes, the happy smiles seem out of place. Please go back to the traditional Japanese "this is the face I make when I'm pooping" expressions?

Seriously though, fantastic work.
