  1. I love your renders Ship. I feel that the exaggerated cartoonish features of many of your males really fits a particular sort of character that I like to push, especially when I'm using my custom fed (Four Color Wrestling). That being said, I love JSilver's graphic novel style of work and most of my library is filled with his renders. I tend to render in a more realistic style and get a lot of criticism for basing many of my renders on real life workers (If I wanted my C-Verse to be filled with real life workers, I'd just play a real life mod). I think it's very good for the community that we have a wide variety of styles to choose from in the re-render thread. It keeps people interested, rejuvenates a lot of folks interest in playing C-Verse rather than real world mods (not that there's anything wrong with RL mods) and gets folks to hire and push workers they normally wouldn't just because they like the new render. More importantly, it allows for shameless attention whores like myself to say, "Look wot I did!" tl;dr Keep on doing what you're doing, good brother!

  3. I work in Reality, which is an unbiased render engine similar to Iray. Here are a few light related links I've found useful. http://lowel.tiffen.com/edu/foundations_of_lighting.html http://portraitstudiolighting.com/6-easy-portrait-photography-lighting-diagrams/ http://www.rapidtables.com/calc/light/how-watt-to-lumen.htm

  8. These days most of my stuff is NSFW pin-up art. Here's one of my family friendly pieces. http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l98/da_kine_brah/Footprints%20On%20My%20Ceiling.jpg
  9. I wouldn't go that far. You'd be surprised what you can do with an adequate knowledge of how deformers work, plus the higher poly count of a subdivided G2 or G3 figure.
  10. Iray is great if you have an nVidia card, otherwise 3Dlite is terribly slow. About a year ago I switched over to Reality and haven't even thought about the built in engine since.
  11. I don't think I've rendered any Japanese male wrestlers. So here. 14. Loved Paige vs. AJ Lee and Orton vs. Reigns. Best women's wrestling I've seen in the WWE in a long time.
  15. Can't wrestle, can't sell and was gassed 4 minutes into the match. He was even two moves short of five moves of doom! F5, chin lock, German suplex. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Perhaps if you could post an example & maybe a screenshot of your light settings & render settings we could glean a bit more insight into what's going on & how to correct it. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  19. <p>I will be taking a brief hiatus from working on renders as my collection of models and materials has been lost. Instead of replacing, I have chosen to upgrade to the G2 figure so I will be inactive until I can rebuild my database to some extent.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Thank you and I apologize.</p>
