Not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere but something I just thought of in the month leading into the draft have like 2-3 matches each raw and smackdown where the winner can decide to become eligible for the draft or opt to stay making the loser draft eligible. They could do it with tag teams, women, have some drama with a team that wins an 8 man tag and maybe some want to leave the brand setting up a feud.

See I would’ve agreed about Liv in January or February but after the chamber match she’s just been unbearably annoying to me in all the worst ways. I don’t know what it is cause before I really bought the whole so focused on revenge she would risk and do anything but now I just don’t care about her.

Becky Lynch winning was a safe bet.
It would be fine if not for the fact that I'm tired of seeing the four horsewomen winning the title each time they need a plan B. I mean, I can tolerate Bayley because she didn't win a title for a long time, but Becky and Charlotte are starting to get "go-away" heat from me because good lord I want them out of the title picture for at least a year.
But Becky has been out of the title picture for over a year. She came back at survivor series a couple years ago and then spent all of last year doing other things until she got back into it for mania this year. Like you said she’s the safe bet to carry the title in this situation but aside from Charlotte I don’t think the others have been over used as far as championships go.

It was billed as a tag match, Jones was involved (albeit very briefly), it counts. And Mania SHOULD matter, but that's up to the booking.
Billed as a tag but changed on the day to a handicap match so officially Jones wasn’t in the match. The past two mania’s booking has been much better than the past my only complaint is we didn’t need 15+ minutes of celebration bs at the end of night 2 but mania still matters

It wasn't the blow-off match, it wasn't for a title, then no it doesn't really mean anything. So it was at Mania. So what? Here's a brief list of other people who have won at Wrestlemania-
Men On A Mission
Nathan Jones
Snooki
Michael Cole.
Saying that Mania doesn’t matter tells me all I need to know also Nathan Jones wasn’t part of the match

No, I get the story. It's just a bad story. I could explain the plot of Red Zone Cuba, that isn't going to magically turn it into Citizen Kane.
If you got the story you wouldn’t have complained Knights win at maina didn’t mean anything. You can not like the story they’re telling but to say Knights clean win at the biggest show of the year didn’t mean anything because AJ beat him in a rematch on smackdown after cheating is just wrong. If for example AJ beat him in 2 minutes clean I could see that argument but that’s not what happened heck they had almost as much time as their mania match.

So what you're saying is that if they run it back again, then the win at Mania did not in fact mean anything.
No I was explaining the story to you since you obviously didn’t understand it. By your logic no win will ever mean anything unless the win is clean and there is never a rematch.- 1

Obviously, there are ways to advance a storyline without going to the DQ. I can count on one hand the numbers of DQs/ No-Contests AEW has had.
And we kicked off the show with 50/50 booking, meaning that the big win L.A. Knight had at Wrestlemania means absolutely nothing.
And I’m sure anything more than your one hand count doesn’t really count because of insert arbitrary reason here.
AJ had to cheat to get the win after Knight beat him clean at maina. So you bitch about a DQ finish to lead to a bigger match and you bitch when a heel cheats to win a rematch after losing clean to set up a rubber match.

A main event ending in a disqualification? The Paul Levesque Era looks a LOT like how pro wrestling has always been.
Fixed that for you

@Wrestling Machine ummmm actually the cagematch ratings say Osprey and Okada are putting on banger after banger so you’re factually wrong. Also Meltzer says the Bucks are the greatest tag team ever so they can’t be on a downward spiral. All fans care about is work rate so they just need to keep pumping out matches 4* and above every week and 5* on ppv because thats what truly matters.
I say all that sarcastically but I know there are some that would be dead serious saying that.

I definitely remember commentary mentioning a couple times he did a 6 week camp in preparation for the match don’t remember who they mentioned was there but they brought it up

Anyone else getting the feeling the main event could go over an hour

I think part of what makes the Uso match so disappointing is the video package before the match that had to be an all time video package and then the match didn’t deliver

I mean it would make sense! Rocky abuses his power to triumph on Saturday, Cody somehow wins it on Sunday, Rocky keeps getting in Cody's way until they have a title match at SummerSlam, Rocky vs Roman at WM41.
If Rock isn’t turning on Roman however they have Cody win Rock can claim a title shot even if he is gone until SummerSlam as has been thought because he pinned Cody. Either Rock turns on Roman tonight or Roman turns on Rock at SummerSlam either way Roman is probably costing Rock the match in August

Chad Gable is fine and technically sound but Kurt has boat loads more charisma not to mention his own skills. I think IC title is Chads ceiling though which isn’t a bad thing I just don’t think he has enough star power to really be at that next level.

I feel like Drew might’ve shot himself in the foot by having not resigned yet. He would fit into this situation perfectly by taking on Seth beating him because Seth isn’t 100% and be the champ when Punk comes back to have that big feud. I know it’s not like he could’ve known this is how things would shake out though if it were me I’d have offered to sign on Monday

Jade Cargill has to be winning the Women's Royal Rumble tonight, right?
Rumors have suggested Bayley and I think that gives a fun route to Mania challenging Io. If it ends up being Jade though oof hard to image a captivating story much less the match at Maina

Saying JK Simmons does candy and insurance commercials “regardless of how big they are” is laughable when those are big name companies. Also comparing an actor to an athlete is apples and oranges Punk like all wrestlers puts his body at risk by competing JK not so much he likely films all his insurance commercials for the year in a few days or a week. I’m no expert on SAG stuff but I know actors have to work and earn a certain amount each year to keep their membership and if commercials count towards that then it also makes sense business wise for JK to continue doing them but again that has nothing to do with Punk and the topic at hand

So I'm very behind on gaming, but holy moly, Ghost of Tsushima is such a treat. I think after I complete it the first time I'm going to do a New Game+ play through in the Kurosawa mode.
One of the few games I’ve beaten multiple times it’s sooo fun and just beautiful again I can just walk the map enjoying the world. Some of that beauty is lost in Kurosawa mode in my opinion but it’s still so worth it

And that was fine back then, because TV wasn't as prevalent. Now, when there's 5+ hours of wrestling TV per week (and that's just WWE!), it's a different kettle of fish.
TV was actually much more prevalent back then and has been loosing ground for at least 10 years to streaming besides WWE losing viewers people watching cable has dropped. So going back a month of both Raw and Smackdown I’m counting 2 no contests a double count out and 1 DQ finish but apparently that’s too much and Triple H being lazy.

DQs in wrestling have been around since pretty much the beginning and were way more prevalent in the territory and attitude days but yeah Triple H he’s using them too much

My only complaint, and this is very minor, is Godzilla's eyes looked lifeless.
I can't say enough good things about Minus One. It might be the best Godzilla movie ever and I have been obsessed with Godzilla my entire life. Goji 54 is a masterpiece, but Minus One is just as good
I didn’t get that feeling myself but my only nit pick is the roar. It doesn’t have to be exactly like the OG but I think legendary did a better job with the roar. That being said what they did give us in no way is bad or diminished my enjoyment.

Weren’t those just the winners brand got like a random pick from the other brand? That’s what I remember from those dark times but how I was intending it would be you have the matches leading up to the draft so you know you have this specific pool of say 24 men if they only did men’s singles matches that are eligible to be picked. It would definitely work better as like an hour special maybe YouTube or something just GMs making selections or trades
