  1. Sorry for the delay getting this Saturday Night's Main Event prediction post going. Thank you all for your patience. As mentioned before, real life gets in the way sometimes, & I forgot to mention... there was a World Series result last week that had me thrilled! 😁 I still can't believe the Texas Rangers pulled it off. Anyway... WWF Saturday Night's Main Event! Live on FOX! WWF World Heavyweight Championship: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair w/Mr. Perfect (Champion) vs. The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer (Challenger) "Macho Man" Man Randy Savage vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts WWF World Tag Team Championship: The Beverly Bros. w/The Genius (Champions) vs. Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice (Challengers) Legion Of Doom vs. The Natural Disasters w/Jimmy Hart WWF Intercontinental Championship: "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase (Champion) vs. Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart WWF Television Championship: Virgil w/"El Matador" Tito Santana vs. Irwin R. Schyster w/Repo Man Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart Bonus Question: Which match will main event the show?
  2. I could be mistaken, but I think the Experience stat is for matches wrestled. In other words, an in-ring stat. The more matches wrestled, the higher the experience stat, & the less matches wrestled, the lower the stat. Alfred Hayes for sure should have experience as he was a wrestler at one point if I remember correctly. Jimmy Hart was a manager but would work the rare match when needed. The others I believe only managed &/or did announcing duties, so they wouldn't need the experience stat.
  3. I just wanted to update you all that the thread is still on-going. I can't remember if I clarified this before or not, but there might be periods of down time as I have a real life & other hobbies I like to enjoy. I hope to have the Saturday Night's Main Event prediction card up by the end of this week.
  4. WWF Wrestling Challenge Airing Saturday, Wk 2, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 1, February 1992) Seattle Center Coliseum Seattle, WA Attendance: 11,409 Dark Matches: -Denise Storm def. Debbie Malenko by pinfall with a Backbreaker. -Jim Powers def. Brooklyn Brawler by pinfall with a Power Slam. -Iron Mike Sharpe def. Danie Brits by pinfall with a Forearm Clothesline after Sharpe put a foreign object into his forearm cover while the ref was distracted checking on Danie. Main Show: -Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan welcome us to the show, coming to you from Seattle, Washington! Bobby Heenan talks about how he had gotten lost trying to find all of the various sights of Washington. "How do you get lost looking for such great places as the Kingdome, Brain?" "Kingdome? I was trying to find the Lincoln Memorial, the White House..." "The Lincoln Memorial & White House?!" "Yeah! Where are they?!" "On the other side of the country, Brain! We're in Washington STATE! Not Washington DC!" "Oh, now you tell me, Ape Man." After that exchange, we go to the video intro, then Gorilla sends it over to Lord Alfred Hayes for Special Report as he is ready to go over one of the matches on tonight's Saturday Night's Main Event. Lord Alfred Hayes stands by in the WWF Control Room & takes a brief moment to run down the history between the Legion Of Doom & Natural Disasters. He notes that Typhoon was recently medically cleared to return to action & would team up with Earthquake tonight to face the L.O.D. on Saturday Night's Main Event. We hear promos from both the Legion Of Doom & Natural Disasters, who have Jimmy Hart by their side. Hawk & Animal talk about how they have had pent up rage like they never had before when the Natural Disasters cost them the Tag Team Titles against the Beverly Brothers, & tonight, it doesn't matter about wins & losses. It's all about kicking serious butt. "More like serious blubber butt," Hawk retorts. Animal adds that if Jimmy Hart gets involved, they'll snap him like a twig, then break him into even more pieces just because they can. Hawk ends it with "OHHHHHHHHH... WHAT A RUSH!" We then hear from the Natural Disasters & Jimmy Hart. Jimmy says he is busy enough as is trying to help the Mountie with Owen Hart, now the Legion Of Doom think that they can threaten him? Earthquake warns the L.O.D. that anyone who messes with Jimmy Hart or their friends such as the Mountie & Raymond Rougeau is messing with the Natural Disasters as far as they're concerned. Typhoon adds "And as far as why we cost you the Tag Team Titles? Because you cheated to win at the Royal Rumble, & you wouldn't give us a rematch. Once we finish you, we have our sights set on the Tag Team Titles. Beverly Brothers, we respect you, but those belts are coming home to us." COMMERCIAL BREAK -Hillbilly Jim def. Bob Smedley by pinfall with the Big Elbow Drop. As Hillbilly Jim made his way down to the ring, we saw a brief highlight of his return this past Monday night on Raw, where he answered Jerry "The King" Lawler's open challenge. We then saw a brief clip of how Jerry Lawler planted a foreign object in Hillbilly Jim's overalls without him knowing it, getting the country boy from Mud Lick, Kentucky disqualified. Gorilla Monsoon said it was a miscarriage of justice, while Bobby Heenan said that Hillbilly Jim shouldn't have cheated & hit Jerry Lawler with a foreign object. "Are you blind, Brain?! Lawler planted the evidence on Hillbilly Jim, framing him!" Hillbilly Jim was motivated to say the least, making short work of Bob Smedley. After bodyslamming him down hard to the mat, Hillbilly Jim jumped up in the air & hit Smedley with a Big Elbow Drop for the 1-2-3. -To the Event Center we go, & Sean Mooney hypes up that tonight is Saturday Night's Main Event on FOX. He puts over that tonight, we will see the crowning of the first ever WWF Television Champion as Irwin R. Schyster takes on Virgil. Sean says that he has learned that Repo Man will serve in the corner of Irwin, while "El Matador" Tito Santana will be in Virgil's corner. Sean also puts over that "Nature Boy" Ric Flair will defend his WWF World Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker. Sean says "Let's go to comments from the champion right now," & we see a promo from Ric Flair, yet Mr. Perfect is conspicuous by his absence. Flair says that Perfect is taking care of last minute business before tonight's big showdown, & he tells the Undertaker that while they have had a great alliance thus far, business is business. "You want my WWF World Heavyweight Championship, after everything Mr. Perfect & I have done for you & Paul Bearer? Well Dead Man, be my guest. I know what you are capable of, & I know that you won't be any walk in the park. But pal, you're challenging me for my title, & I'm the greatest wrestling champion of all time! To be the man, you have to beat the man, & Undertaker, I am the man! Hopefully after I beat you tonight, we can shake hands & continue to conduct business going forward as we divide & conquer the WWF. Woooooo!" Sean Mooney reminds us that another big match tonight pits the "Macho Man" Randy Savage against this man, Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Jake says that a lot of questions must be on everyone's minds these days. What business is there with Papa Shango? What does the Barbarian have to do with this? Is everything okay with Paul Bearer & the Undertaker? But those questions don't need to be addressed right now because there is bigger business to take care of. Jake says that this feud has gone long enough, & tonight he finishes Randy Savage off for good. "It seems like no matter what happens, Randy, you refuse to stay down. Retirement couldn't keep you down. I couldn't keep you down after Tuesday In Texas. Not even Ric Flair could keep you down at the end of the Royal Rumble. But eventually, Randy, the gas tank goes empty. And you're beyond empty, my man. You are ripe for the picking, & I am going to pick you apart. I'm not going to finish you off immediately, oh no. I am going to make you suffer tonight, then... *snaps his fingers*... Just like that, I'll finish you off when you least expect it. And Elizabeth? She will see that you're not so Macho after all, & she will leave you in search of another man. Perhaps one that is younger & has a lot more left to give her than what you have right now. Because right now, Randy, you are a shell of the man that you once were. Trust me." COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji def. Glen Ruth & Chaz Warrington when Pat Tanaka pinned Chaz Warrington with a German Suplex. Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan discussed the recent rivalry that broke out between the Orient Express & the Von Erichs, with Bobby Heenan saying he wasn't surprised that Kevin & Kerry Von Erich were so dumb as to put their hands on Mr. Fuji, when anyone in their right mind would've known that putting their hands on Mr. Fuji would prompt an attack by the Orient Express. "But then again, they are from Texas." Gorilla countered that Mr. Fuji set the Von Erichs up for a behind the back attack. Pat Tanaka & Kato make short work of Glen Ruth & Chaz Warrington, with Pat holding Chaz in position with a go behind. Kato with a Thrust Kick to Chaz's face, sending him backward as Pat Tanaka slams him down with German Suplex for the pinfall victory. -After the match, the Orient Express feel like they haven't dealt out enough punishment, so they begin to beat down Glen Ruth & Chaz Warrington. Gorilla Monsoon says that this is ridiculous & unnecessary, while Bobby Heenan says that he loves that Mr. Fuji is having the Orient Express send a message to Kevin & Kerry Von Erich. Speaking of, the crowd comes alive as the Von Erichs run down to the ring & tackle Pat Tanaka & Kato! A big brawl breaks out between both teams as Mr. Fuji is losing his mind, as is Bobby Heenan, shouting that Kevin & Kerry Von Erich are such cowards for sneaking up on the Orient Express from behind. Gorilla Monsoon scoffs at Heenan's lack of self awareness, pointing out that this is exactly what the Orient Express did to the Von Erichs in Chicago. Officials run down to the ring & swarm both teams to get them separated. Mr. Fuji manages to pull the Orient Express out of the ring & get them to safety as they make their way to the back while Kevin & Kerry Von Erich shout at them to come back & finish this off once & for all. -We go to another vignette of Crush, who talks about how ever since he was a little kid, he loved to crush things. We go to a flashback that is in black & white of a little kid version of Crush, who is about to pour himself a glass of milk out of the carton, but he decides to crush the carton to spill the milk into the glass as he has a big grin on his face. Transition back to present day Crush, who is smiling just as big. He says he will do the same to the competition in the WWF. -Big Boss Man def. Buddy Rose by pinfall with the Boss Man Slam. An exhibition pretty much to give the Big Boss Man a win while he doesn't have a major storyline going on at the moment. Gorilla Monsoon talks about how the Big Boss Man is not one to be trifled with, as Irwin R. Schyster recently found out, insinuating that Boss Man took care of IRS on the house show circuit. Bobby Heenan says that issue may not be settled, & who knows? That dumb hick may get jealous & want to go after that TV Title after Irwin wins it tonight. Gorilla asks the Brain how could he be so sure that IRS will win it tonight when he's going up against an upset machine like Virgil? Bobby Heenan agrees that anything could happen, but with Repo Man out there to make sure "El Matador" Tito Santana doesn't interfere, Irwin R. Schyster should take home the gold tonight. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial break, & it is time for the Heartbreak Hotel as introduced to us by the lovely Miss Genie. She & Shawn Michaels take turns talking trash about "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Miss Genie says "It looks like he just couldn't rise to the occasion this past Monday night, Shawn." "That's definitely not something I have a problem with, Genie." "No it definitely is not," says Genie, with a big grin on her face. Gorilla Monsoon is disgusted at the obvious innuendo that only adults really understand, while Bobby Heenan is befuddled that Gorilla would be so upset about Miss Genie & Shawn Michaels pointing out that Roddy Piper couldn't win against the Macho Man this past Monday night. Shawn continues: "But we're not here to talk about the little Hot Rod. We're here to interview our guest this week who booked himself quite the reservation for this week at the Heartbreak Hotel. He has a big title defense this weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event. Ladies & gentlemen, please welcome the Intercontinental Champion... 'The Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase!" Ted DiBiase makes his way to the Heartbreak Hotel set to the boos of the fans in attendance as they start chanting "WE WANT BRET! WE WANT BRET! WE WANT BRET!" Miss Genie responds "That is no way to treat such a valued guest as Ted DiBiase, folks." Shawn Michaels follows up by insulting the crowd. "Our apologies for these idiots, Ted. The acid rain must have damaged their brain cells." Ted DiBiase tells them that there is no need to apologize, because they're just jealous like Bret Hart is. Ted says "Bret Hart has not been able to get over the fact that he has a glass jaw, & at the Royal Rumble, I was the one that exploited that weakness. Now I stand before you here at the Heartbreak Hotel as the reigning Intercontinental Champion, & there is nothing Bret can do about it!" Shawn asks Ted about his big match this weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event against Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, & Ted acknowledges that Jim Neidhart is a tough customer. He says that despite that, he has not been able to get out of the tag team shadow like Bret Hart has. And tonight, the world will find out that Jim Neidhart is not ready for prime time. Ted DiBiase also points out that Bret Hart has a match against the Mountie this weekend, & says that if somehow there is anything left of Bret Hart after the Mountie gets through with him, he would love nothing more than to embarrass the Hitman one more time in a rematch. With that, Shawn Michaels informs us that it is check out time. -Gorilla Monsoon immediately sends it over to a videotape sent over to them that they will show now. Mean Gene Okerlund is on assignment, waiting inside WWF Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, right outside of one of the main offices. He says that he is waiting for the Blue Blazer to walk out from behind this door so that he can interview him about the recent allegations that Jimmy Hart & the Mountie have made that he & Owen Hart are the same man. Gene tells us that he made sure to get Raymond Rougeau banned from the building here today so that he wouldn't scoop him, & then the Blue Blazer walks out from behind the door, happy to see Mean Gene. Mean Gene asks the Blue Blazer how everything went in that meeting, & Blazer says it went wonderful, & is holding in his hands his new WWF contract, allowing him to compete in the WWF once again after an absence of several years. Gene tells the Blazer that recently, Jimmy Hart & the Mountie have claimed that he & Owen Hart are the same man. The Blue Blazer found that preposterous, saying that he is good friends with Owen Hart, but they are not the same. "In fact, Mean Gene, it will be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Owen Hart & I are not the same man sooner rather than later." Mean Gene thanks the Blue Blazer for his time, & with that, this assignment is over, for now. -The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart def. Bill Anderson by submission with the Quebec Crab. Bobby Heenan is irate, saying that it is ridiculous that Owen Hart is pulling this sham when it is obvious that he is the Blue Blazer. Gorilla Monsoon tells the Brain to calm down, & that this isn't a matter of life & death. "What?! Did you not see how badly Owen Hart injured several referees & officials several weeks ago?! He is dangerous, Monsoon!" Gorilla Monsoon reminds Bobby Heenan that Owen Hart was angry & wanted revenge on the Mountie for nearly ending his career by shocking him in the face. Monsoon still feels that Pres. Tunney mishandled the whole situation, but there is nothing that can be done about it now. With that, the Mountie makes short work of Bill Anderson, making him submit with a single leg crab that he calls the Quebec Crab. -After the Mountie's win, we go to the short video we saw this past Monday night hyping up the upcoming return of Bam Bam Bigelow, where we see fire in the background & a shot of the top of Bam Bam's bald head with the flame tattoos. He lifts his head up to look at the camera & snarl like only he can. COMMERCIAL BREAK -"Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. Skinner Gorilla Monsoon talked about how Roddy Piper was looking to get back on track after his loss this past Monday night on Raw to the Macho Man, while Bobby Heenan talked about what a great opportunity this was for Skinner. Skinner used his dirty tactics throughout the match to gain the upper hand, but Piper reminded the fans that he knew a few dirty tricks of his own. While the average viewer wouldn't be able to tell, due to time constraints, some unimportant parts of the match were edited out. But the WWF's production crew is on top of it, so like I said, you wouldn't even notice. Anyway, back to the match itself. Piper goes to clothesline Skinner, but he ducks, & Piper almost clothestlines the referee. The ref ducks down to keep from being toppled, so Skinner takes advantage of the ref not looking to go for his can of tobacco. He picks up the cup, but Piper is one step ahead as he slaps the cup up, causing Skinner to inadvertently swallow the tobacco. Skinner is woozy as a result, & Piper locks him in a sleeper to the roar of the crowd. The ref turns around & checks on Skinner by raising his arm once... twice... three times it goes down, & the ref calls for the bell. Winner by submission with the Sleeper Hold: "Rowdy" Roddy Piper Piper is all smiles as the fans cheer on his victory. Bobby Heenan is beside himself, saying that Piper illegally shoved that tobacco juice down Skinner's throat. Gorilla Monsoon points out that Skinner had plans to blind Piper with it by spitting it at him, but the Hot Rod outsmarted him. -To the Event Center we go, where Sean Mooney once again hypes up Saturday Night's Main Event later tonight! Sean says that another big match on the card tonight sees the Beverly Brothers defend the WWF World Tag Team Titles for the first time on television since winning them from the Legion Of Doom. Their challengers are none other than Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice, & both teams are standing by for comment. First, we hear from the Genius & Beverly Brothers. They are all smiles despite the fact that their opponents are Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice. Sure, they may be big. They may be two of the best that the WWF have to offer. But two things are going against them, according to the Brothers Beverly: Hulk & Sid are a mongrel team, & who knows if they can get along. The Genius also reminds us that he has beaten Hulk Hogan before, & he will do it again, but as a manager this time around as the Brothers Beverly will successfully retain their Tag Team Titles this weekend. We then hear comments from Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice. They both acknowledge that they haven't seen eye to eye on some things lately, but they can put their differences aside to win the WWF World Tag Team Titles this weekend. Then they can go on to WrestleMania VIII & make history as the first ever Tag Team Champions to face each other in a match at WrestleMania. Hogan reminds the Genius that sure, he beat him... by count out. Hogan also reminds everyone that when all the conditions were right & there was no outside interference, he beat the Genius with ease... ONE... TWO... THREE! And he & Sid Justice will do the same to the Brothers Beverly tonight. PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan hype up Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend on FOX. "Check your local listings, folks! For the Brain, I'm Gorilla Monsoon saying so long, & see you again right here next week on Wrestling Challenge!"
  5. WWF International Spotlight February 1992 Taped at the Seattle Center Coliseum in Seattle, WA Broadcast on various networks outside of the US -Show opens with Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan hyping up the show & welcoming the fans who are watching from around the globe. They put over that the show is headlined by a big main event: Hulk Hogan vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts! Let's go down to the ring for our first match! -"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert def. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by DQ when Duggan lost his cool & whacked Eddie in the back with his 2x4. Eddie made a beeline out of the ring, holding his hand up in victory while selling the pain of being hit in the back with Duggan's 2x4. Duggan, even in defeat, put his thumbs up & led the crowd in shouting "HOOOOOOOOOOO!!" Grade: 74 -Gene Okerlund is backstage interviewing Papa Shango & the Barbarian, who have a tag team match up next. Gene asks Papa Shango what his deal with the Barbarian is, & just what kind of connection he has with Jake "The Snake" Roberts, the Undertaker & Paul Bearer. Shango tells Gene that in due time, we will find out everything that we want to know. Gene asks Shango why he is evading the question, but Shango insists that now is not the time. With a threatening look, Gene takes the cue to move along as he doesn't want to have a hex put on him. Grade: 74 -Papa Shango & The Barbarian def. Brian Costello & Buck Quatermain when Barbarian pinned Quartermain after a Flying Clothesline. Gorilla & Heenan actually agreed on something: that Gene Okerlund made the right choice in not further pursuing his questioning of Papa Shango. Grade: 39 -Sean Mooney is backstage to interview Shawn Michaels & Miss Genie. Shawn says after his victory tonight, he & Genie will have an early Valentine's date. Mooney asks them what they had in mind, & Genie tells him that it is none of his business. All she'll say is that she is looking forward to the date tonight. Grade: 70 -Shawn Michaels w/Miss Genie def. Danie Brits by pinfall with the Tear Drop Suplex. Bobby Heenan talks about how Shawn Michaels has looked impressive on his own since breaking away from that anchor, Marty Jannetty. Gorilla Monsoon says that he thinks Shawn has had a bad influence in Miss Genie, but Heenan disagrees, saying that Shawn was being held down as one half of the Rockers & didn't have a great manager like Miss Genie that could get him headline matches & title opportunities. Now he's been in a Royal Rumble match where the WWF World Title was on the line, & he is on his way to duking it out with Roddy Piper. Grade: 62 -Sean Mooney is backstage ready to interview Jake "The Snake" Roberts before his match against Hulk Hogan. Sean says that conspicuous by their absence are the Undertaker & Paul Bearer. Jake tells Sean that he has never needed anyone's help if that is what he was insinuating. Jake then says that the Undertaker & Paul Bearer are making final preparations to lay the Macho Man to rest when Jake is finished with him once & for all. But tonight, Jake has his sights set on a man that he chased after once before years ago. "You see, Sean, Hogan heard his Hulkamaniacs shout 'DDT! DDT! DDT!' And his ego couldn't take that. He bribed Pres. Jack Tunney, & low & behold, I was out of the title picture. Sure, I teamed up with Hulk later on, but you know what they say: Keep your friends close, & your enemies closer. Hogan, tonight, you cannot run. Those Hulkamaniacs will turn on you once again as they shout: 'DDT! DDT! DDT!." We now go to Gene Okerlund, who is standing by with Hulk Hogan for a response. Hogan calls Jake a liar, that he never bribed Pres. Tunney, & says that yes he heard people shouting "DDT! DDT! DDT!" "But you see, Gene-O, they weren't cheering for Jake. They were showing him their respect for how quick & effective the DDT is. Believe me, I know how quick & effective it is. Truth be told, I did face Jake one-on-one. I put the WWF Title on the line. And I came out victorious. Later on, I thought Jake & patched things up & buried the hatchet, but I should've known better. Tonight, these 24-inch pythons will be more powerful than any reptile that Jake could bring to the ring if Pres. Tunney had allowed him to, & Jake will know once & for all that the power of Hulkamania is mightier than any DDT. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania destroys you?!" Grade: 78 -Hulk Hogan def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts by pinfall with the Big Leg Drop. It was a great back & forth match-up that went around 20 minutes, with some stalling to start the match to help pace the crowd. The absence of the Undertaker & Paul Bearer didn't seem to matter as Jake had Hogan reeling on more than one occasion, & even hit the dreaded DDT! ONE... TWO... THR-NO! Hulk kicked out & began to Hulk up like only he can! Jake didn't seem to have an answer for every punch that Hogan no-sold. Hogan hit Jake with several punches of his own, threw him into the ropes & hit the Big Boot before running the ropes & dropping the Big Leg Drop for the pinfall victory. Grade: 86 -Hogan poses for the fans as Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan sign off.
  6. @sonny912 We'll just have to wait & see how things unfold. Without spoiling anything, I haven't thought of anything for Nikita Koloff, but that doesn't mean I can't think of something if I so choose. @Old School Fan I'm glad you're enjoying the Vince McMahon/Eddie Gilbert pairing. I'm having fun writing their commentary. I also liked Vine from what I have seen of her. I wanted to think outside the box a bit, so that's why I've kept her & Hollywood (aka Miss Genie) separated. Besides, I think Vine fits the trio I formed with her, Wendi Richter & Tori. And how could I forget the "Burger King!" chants?! 😄 I always got a kick out of that during his feud with Bret Hart.
  7. Wrestling Observer WWF News & Notes -It looks like the Iron Sheik character is back for good & that the Col. Mustafa character has been dropped, along with Gen. Adnan now going by Adnan Al-Kaissie. Expect this to play out in comedic fashion on television. -Speaking of the Iron Sheik, he worked a dark match at the recent tapings for Wrestling Challenge & Superstars, teaming with Hercules & the Warlord, defeating the team of Chris Walker, Rusty Brooks & Jim Powers. Adnan Al-Kaissie wasn't at ringside, but Harvey Wippleman was as Vince McMahon wanted to test out Harvey as a potential manager for the Iron Sheik in the event Adnan didn't accept the new contract offer that was made to him. However, Adnan did indeed sign the new contract offer, & he will continue to manage the Iron Sheik moving forward. Adnan will also help out as a road agent. & he won't have to do any in-ring work anymore. -The WWF has signed deals with a number of international broadcasters, & some of these broadcasters want the WWF to air an undisclosed number of events. Word has it that the WWF ran several matches at the Wrestling Challenge & Superstars tapings to be aired exclusively for those broadcasters. According to one source, the WWF branded the broadcast special as International Spotlight, playing off of the International Challenge shows that the WWF once sent out exclusively to international broadcasters outside of the United States. Out of Character: The news blurb about the Iron Sheik working a six-man tag dark match is the result of me not posting the dark match for the Wrestling Challenge taping for Week 1 of February 1992. I didn't want to spoil the return of the Iron Sheik character, thus why I waited until posting this news bit to mention it.
  8. WWF Monday Night Raw Airing Monday, Wk 2, February 1992 (Taped Monday, Wk 1, February 1992) Manhattan Center, New York City Attendance: 1,200 (Sold out!) Dark Matches: -Big Boss Man def. Dale Wolfe by pinfall after a Boss Man Slam. -The Bushwhackers def. Mike Bell & Chris Duffy when Luke pinned Duffy after hitting the Battering Ram. -Denise Storm & Peggy Lee Leather def. Allison Royal & Candice Pardue when Storm pinned Royal after hitting a Backbreaker. Main Show: -We open outside the Manhattan Center, where we see Sean Mooney standing by as we hear shouting in the background. He informs us that there is a commotion outside the building & he has the camera crew pan over to show General Adnan & Colonel Mustafa, who are now dressed in familiar looking attire from their respective 1980s runs. They are shouting at security, with Adnan shouting in Arabic, & Mustafa shouting in both Persian & broken English about how he's not Col. Mustafa, but is the Iron Sheik. Sean Mooney approaches them & asks what in the world is this all about? After all, Col. Mustafa lost to "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan two weeks ago, meaning he had to leave the WWF. Adnan shouts at Sean Mooney in Arabic, & Mustafa translates, saying that what Adnan is saying is that he is not Gen. Adnan, he is Adnan Al-Kaissie. "And I'm not Colonel Mustafa, I am Iron Sheik!" President Jack Tunney is brought out by more security to confront Adnan & Mustafa, & he tells them that he knows who they are, & that Col. Mustafa lost to "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan two weeks ago, & that's the end of the discussion! Pres. Tunney turns around & casually walks off as Adnan & Mustafa continue shouting as we abruptly go to the show open. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flTOhPDuC1k Vince McMahon & "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert welcome us to a special 90-minute edition of Monday Night Raw as Miss Genie leads Shawn Michaels down to ringside for the opening contest of the night, pitting the Heartbreak Kid against "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka. Miss Genie & Shawn both high-five Eddie. They act like they're going to high-five Vince, but they pull their hands away & taunt him as he doesn't seem to know what to make of that obvious show of disrespect. Jimmy Snuka makes his entrance afterward, & we are underway. -Shawn Michaels w/Miss Genie vs. Jimmy Snuka The match was a back & forth contest as you would expect, but time is of the essence here as the match goes no longer than seven minutes. Snuka has the match going his way & is rallying the fans after hitting Shawn with his patented knife edge chop that takes Shawn down after he was sent into the ropes. Miss Genie gets up on the apron to get the ref's attention, & he is ordering her to get down off the apron. Snuka is distracted & starts shouting "WHO! WHO! WHO!" at Miss Genie. She waves her hand in front of her face, insinuating that Snuka has bad breath. The ref tells Snuka to back off, & he does. While Miss Genie hops down off the apron, Shawn is back to his feet & catches Snuka from behind with a new move he calls the Tear Drop Suplex. The ref turns around right in time. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner by pinfall with the Tear Drop Suplex: Shawn Michaels COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial & to the broadcast table, where Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert inform us that the Legion Of Doom were upset after losing the WWF World Tag Team Championship last week to the Beverly Brothers. Vince said that camera crews are everywhere at WWF events because they never know what will happen, & backstage footage was obtained from after the show. We cut to said footage, with the graphics "RECORDED LAST WEEK." We see Animal & Hawk approach Duane Gill & Barry Hardy backstage. Gill & Hardy are grinning at each other, with Hardy having said something funny to Gill. That is enough to set the L.O.D. off as they attack the two enhancement talents, beating them to a pulp & throwing them through a wall & crashing into a locker room, where we see Iron Mike Sharpe & Jim Powers in their street clothes. They yell as they ask what in the world was that all about, & Animal & Hawk beat them up too, throwing them into the lockers to boot. Back to the announce desk, & Eddie Gilbert is protesting that the Legion Of Doom should be suspended for their actions, while Vince McMahon says he doesn't condone what they did, but quite frankly, who could blame them?! Meanwhile, Earthquake is making his way to the ring, led by Jimmy Hart, for a 2-on-1 handicap match. -Earthquake def. Rusty Brooks & Mike Somaini by pinfall when Earthquake pinned Somaini on top of Rusty Brooks, having hit both men with the Earthquake Splash. During the match, Vince noted that Typhoon still hadn't been cleared to compete yet, but that Jimmy Hart's legal team was working on that. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Jerry "The King" Lawler comes out to the ring & runs down the city of New York, trolling them about how David Stern rigged the NBA Draft for the Knicks to get Patrick Ewing, & they STILL can't win a championship. He says he got approval from Pres. Tunney to issue an open challenge, but as he expected, nobody wants to accept. "Everyone who is here in the World Wrestling Federation that I beat up in Memphis? None of them want to face me again! Eddie Gilbert over here would accept my challenge, but I told him that he couldn't deprive the fans of his words of wisdom at the announce desk." "That's right, Vin-Daddy. I was going to accept, but the King graciously declined due to my obligations." Jerry Lawler tells the ref to ring the bell & raise his hand in victory, declaring himself winner by forfeit. That's when familiar music hits... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmF2dmxtFoM The New York fans give a warm welcome to Hillbilly Jim, as it's been a few years since they've seen him. Vince McMahon is ecstatic on commentary, putting over what a superstar Hillbilly Jim is, while Eddie Gilbert is saying he was wondering why it smelled like cow manure at the Manhattan Center tonight, which gets chastisement out of Vince. Jim is all smiles high-fives & shakes hands with fans around ringside. Vince McMahon gets up out of his desk & takes off his headset as he smiles big & does a dosey-doe with Hillbilly Jim. Eddie Gilbert derides the dance on commentary, saying Vince McMahon's dancing is about as good as his ability to tell the truth. Jerry Lawler is throwing a fit in the ring as the referee tells him that Hillbilly Jim may be the one to accept his open challenge. Jim enters the ring & tells Lawler that he was here visiting old friends & heard him issue an open challenge. Jim said he accepts, & Lawler tries to beg off, saying his open challenge was for contracted WWF competitors only. Hillbilly Jim said he had signed a new contract earlier this afternoon but wasn't given a match for tonight until he heard Lawler issue the open challenge. Hillbilly Jim then asks Jerry Lawler if he's a chicken like the ones he raises on his farm in Mud Lick, Kentucky, & even does the chicken arm motion. Lawler says "FINE! I accept!" -Hillbilly Jim vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler A nice bonus match for this 90-minute edition of Monday Night Raw! Hillbilly Jim uses his power to his advantage, but Jerry Lawler is eventually able to rake Jim in the eyes to gain the upper hand. Jim makes a comeback & is going to work on Lawler. Lawler pokes Jim in the eyes, then goes behind, seemingly to try to lift Jim up for a back suplex, which Vince McMahon thinks is rather stupid on Lawler's part given Jim's size advantage. Even Eddie Gilbert is wondering what Lawler is up to. Jim goes to free himself by hitting Lawler in the head with a back elbow, but that sends Lawler into the referee, knocking said ref down but not quite out. Jerry Lawler goes to grab a foreign object out of his singlet while Hillbilly Jim checks on the referee, prompting Eddie Gilbert to say that this is a brilliant plan by the King! Lawler goes to punch Jim, but the man from Mud Lick, Kentucky catches Jerry's fist, then picks him up & body slams him to the canvas. The foreign object stays on Lawler's fist as Jim jumps up & lands an elbow drop. He goes to cover Lawler, who has the wherewithal to put the foreign object into the pocket on the right pants leg of Hillbilly Jim's overalls. During this time, the ref has been recovering & sees Jim covering Lawler. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner by pinfall: Hillbilly Jim... Wait a minute! Lawler is holding his head & pointing over to Hillbilly Jim, telling the ref to check his pocket. The ref turns a celebrating Hillbilly Jim around, asking to check his pocket. Jim says sure, he's a good guy who never cheats! The ref checks, & sure enough finds the foreign object in Jim's pocket. Hillbilly Jim is genuinely shocked, wondering how on earth the foreign object got in his pocket while the ref raises Jerry Lawler's hand in victory. Actual Winner by DQ after referee decision reversal: Jerry "The King" Lawler Vince McMahon is angry on commentary, saying that he can't believe the referee just took Jerry Lawler's word that Hillbilly Jim used the foreign object. Eddie Gilbert countered that the ref can only call what he sees, & he saw the foreign object in Hillbilly Jim's pocket. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial, & Eddie Gilbert asks Vince McMahon, "Remember how you sprung Gorilla Monsoon on me last week?" Vince says yes, & Eddie Gilbert says "Well I have a surprise that I am sure you will love." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB6sji-Eshg That familiar music prompts Vince McMahon to say "Wait a minute... It can't be..." "Oh yes it is, Vin-Daddy!" replies Eddie Gilbert. Making his return to the WWF, but not to as near as warm a welcome by the New York crowd as Hillbilly Jim, is none other than Brother Love. In fact, fans are booing him out of the building. Maybe not as loud as some guy I've heard of named "Dirty" Dominik, but pretty loud still. Brother Love makes his way to the announce desk as Eddie Gilbert stands up to give him a big hug, welcoming Brother Love back to the WWF. Brother Love puts out his arms for a hug from Vince McMahon, but Vince declines, opting to stay seated at the announce desk. Brother Love is given a microphone & enters the ring, welcoming everyone to a special edition of the Brother Love Show. He says that he could not stand idly by as other men on TV were preaching a false doctrine. "Those men do NOT love anybody. They only love your muhh-neey!" Vince quips "He's one to talk." "Quiet, Vince, I want to hear this" replies Eddie. "You see, it was said that there would be many false teachers in these days, & there are quite a few of them. So it was time for me to return to remind everyone about the importance of love. And as you can see, there are several people who could use a lesson about love." Brother Love goes on to claim that Repo Man & Irwin R. Schyster have done nothing wrong, yet Virgil & Tito Santana attack those two good men for no reason at all. Therefore, according to Brother Love, Virgil & Tito Santana do not know the meaning of love. He then goes on to talk about the near end of the Royal Rumble, where Sid Justice & Hulk Hogan were yelling at each other & screaming. He then says that they're trying to put on a facade that they know the meaning of love, but says "Believe me, they do not know the meaning of love. They will tear each other apart when they team up on Saturday Night's Main Event. And at WrestleMania, they will beat each other up so bad with such vile hatred that not only will it be the end of Sid Justice's career before it could get started... but it will be the end of Hulkamania as well." Vince McMahon notes Brother Love's comments about Sid Justice & Hulk Hogan teaming up on Saturday Night's Main Event, facing the brand new WWF World Tag Team Champions, the Beverly Brothers, with the titles on the line. Brother Love then wants the fans to help him welcome a special guest, Mr. Fuji. Mr. Fuji comes out to say that his Orient Express are training in their dojo right now, preparing to fight the Von Erichs. Brother Love asks Mr. Fuji just why the Orient Express attacked the Von Erichs in Chicago, saying that doesn't show a whole lot of love. Mr. Fuji says on the contrary. They were showing love: tough love! Brother Love's eyes widen as he's beaming with joy & says "Oh, how could I forget the best love of all?! Tough love!" Mr. Fuji says that his Orient Express do not hate the Von Erichs at all. Far from it. They love them, but the Von Erichs have disrespected them. So he & his Orient Express have to give the Von Erichs some tough love. Brother Love closes the segment by saying "There are many forms of love. Romantic love between a married couple; agape love between friends & family. But the most important love of all... is tough love." Brother Love & Mr. Fuji are all smiles as the show fades to commercial. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Bret "Hitman" Hart def. Louie Spicolli by submission with the Sharpshooter. Basic squash showcasing Bret Hart as he shone in this match against Louie Spicolli. Vince McMahon noted that Bret Hart looks hungry & ready to regain the Intercontinental Title. Eddie Gilbert said that Bret does indeed look great tonight, but at the end of the day, he still has a glass jaw. Vince reminds Eddie that Ted DiBiase didn't knock out Bret Hart because he has such a great right hand, but because he used an illegal foreign object. "Like the one Hillbilly Jim used tonight?" "Oh stop it! Jerry Lawler framed Hillbilly Jim, & you know it, Eddie!" -Vince throws it to Sean Mooney backstage, who is ready to interview Pres. Jack Tunney. Sean is asking Pres. Tunney about the Mountie & Jimmy Hart's recent claim that the Blue Blazer is in fact Owen Hart. Before Pres. Tunney can give his response, Raymond Rougeau power walks into the scene like the investigative reporter that he is & tells Sean Mooney that he can handle this. Sean tries to tell Raymond it's fine, but Raymond insists on Sean leaving. Sean doesn't budge, so Raymond shrugs it off & proceeds with his questioning. He asks why did he sign the Blue Blazer sight unseen & without asking to see what he looked like under his mask. Pres. Tunney informed Raymond Rougeau that in professional wrestling, especially in Mexico where the Blue Blazer once wrestled, masks are a sacred tradition, with the wrestlers underneath the masks not revealing their identities until they lose their mask in a match, or they choose to give up the mask themselves. Raymond said that was ridiculous, & that there must have been some bribery involved. Sean Mooney interrupts Raymond & tells him that Pres. Tunney is indeed correct, that masks in wrestling are indeed a sacred tradition. "Well if that is the case, then maybe Jimmy Hart & the Mountie can figure out a way for the Blue Blazer to put his mask on the line." Pres. Tunney informs Raymond Rougeau that if the Blue Blazer does lose his mask & is revealed to be Owen Hart, then he will have no choice but to take severe action against Owen Hart. -High Power def. Barry Horowitz & Bob Smedley when Koko B. Ware pinned Bob Smedley after hitting a Missile Dropkick. Vince McMahon noted that Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart & Koko B. Ware are working well as a unit ever since Owen Hart was recently injured & now suspended. Eddie Gilbert proceeded to argue with Vince about whether or not the Blue Blazer was Owen Hart, & Vince said "For all I know, you might be the Blue Blazer, Eddie!" "Oh don't be ridiculous, Vin-Daddy! Did you already forget that I talked to him myself via remote last week when he was interviewed?" "That is true. Well, maybe Sid Justice is the Blue Blazer." "Oh come on! The Blue Blazer is nowhere near as tall as Sid Justice!" "Then again, maybe the Blue Blazer is Paul Bearer." "Now you're just being ridiculous." COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial, & we see a very brief video with a bald head that has flaming tattoos on it. We know who it is, but the man lifts his head up to reveal Bam Bam Bigelow, who simply snarls at the viewers watching at home. -Mean Gene Okerlund is in the ring, & he asks the fans to welcome his guests at this time... Rockin' Robin, Cheryl Rusa & Misty Blue! They make their way to the ring, & Gene starts out by telling Rockin' Robin that it's great to see her back in the WWF. He then welcomes Cheryl Rusa & Misty Blue to the WWF, & says he is very familiar with their work. He asks them what their goals in the WWF are, but before they can get a word in edge-wise... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J65-_Is2EQ4 Just pretend nobody said the word "toxic," okay? Anyway, Wendi Richter & Tori make their way down to the ring as Gene Okerlund acknowledges the theme music interruption by saying "So Wendi Richter shoots from the hip, & now you guys back there are afraid of her & play her music just because she tells you to?! You've got to be kidding me." Eddie Gilbert says on commentary that Wendi Richter & Tori are stars, & they should be treated as such, to which Vince McMahon replies that nobody has interrupted with their music before. Gene asks Wendi & Tori just what the meaning of all of this is, & Wendi tells Gene that while she still can't stand him & still thinks he's a dirty scoundrel, she will talk to him if she must. Wendi goes on to tell Rockin' Robin, Cheryl Rusa & Misty Blue that she isn't surprised that once word got out that she became friends with Tori, that they would get together to try & ruin her career like how one old hag, a crooked referee & who knows who else, tried to ruin it here in New York City before. But she's always one step ahead now, & Wendi says that she & Tori ran into someone else who also had to deal with rotten scumbags & left the wrestling world for some time until she (Wendi) & Tori invited her to join them. "Ladies & gentlemen, let me introduce you one of the most gorgeous ladies in wrestling... Vine!" Vine makes her way to the ring, looking angry at the world as she yells at several of the fans at ringside. Eddie Gilbert puts over Vine on commentary, saying that she was one of the most vicious bad girls in wrestling, & if she's been hanging out with Wendi Richter & Tori, she must be even more dangerous now. Vince McMahon even acknowledges the past a bit without outright acknowledging it by saying that he had seen Vine in action, & that she was so vicious, Pres. Jack Tunney wouldn't sign her. Gene Okerlund asks Vine just what on earth is she doing hanging out with the likes of Wendi Richter & Tori. Vine says that Wendi just answered that question. "What, were you too busy staring at Wendi & Tori to pay attention, you dirty old man?" "Now wait just a minute..." Rockin' Robin grabs the microphone while Gene keeps hold of it. "Gene, you don't have to explain yourself. Me, Cheryl & Misty know you weren't staring at Wendi. After all, she's uglier than David Letterman." Wendi takes exception & yells "Oh is that right?! Let me tell you something, Robin. You see us? We are what you would call Violent Beauty. Not only do we kick the tar out of everyone in our way, but we look great doing it. Unlike your friends that you're hanging out with, though... We don't have to pose in racy magazines or star in racy films." Gene shouts "Ladies, this is a family program!" Before you know it, all six women start fighting & road agents have to run out to separate them as Gene Okerlund makes a beeline for the exit, saying "I'm getting out of here!" COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Headshrinkers w/Afa def. Buck Quartermain & Sonny Blaze after Fatu pinned Quatermain following a Samoan Splash off the top rope. Vince McMahon put over how Afa was a legendary performer in his day as a former Tag Team Champion. Eddie Gilbert put over the Headshrinkers, saying they look even more dangerous than Afa in his prime. Vince said that perhaps the Headshrinkers might meet their match in a team like the Legion Of Doom or the Von Erichs, but Eddie Gilbert countered that maybe they would be the ones meeting their match. Eddie also tossed out the idea of how wild a match against either the Natural Disasters, the Nasty Boys or even the Bushwhackers would be. Vince acknowledged that the rule book might have to be tossed out for those encounters. -We see the Crush hype video that aired this past weekend of him hanging out at the junkyard, with flattened cars & talking about how he'll crush the competition in the WWF the very same way. -Rick "The Model" Martel def. Brian Costello by submission with the Boston Crab. Basically getting Rick Martel back on the winning track after his loss this past weekend on Wrestling Challenge to Bret Hart. Eddie Gilbert noted that Rick Martel looked more aggressive tonight, which Vince McMahon did acknowledge. Vince said that maybe if Rick stopped focusing on his fashion modeling career & focused back on his wrestling career, he would fulfill his potential. Eddie disagreed, saying that Rick has been able to juggle both careers, & that he agreed with what Bobby Heenan said this past weekend, how everyone has been ducking Martel. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Papa Shango def. Bill Anderson by pinfall after hitting the Voodoo Driver. Vince McMahon said he was impressed by what he has seen of Papa Shango in the ring so far, but just what is it that he has going on with Jake Roberts, the Undertaker & perhaps Paul Bearer? Eddie Gilbert said that we would find out in due time & he wasn't about to question someone with the power of voodoo that Papa Shango possesses. Vince then asked Eddie what he thought of Papa Shango scouting the Barbarian recently, & Eddie replied "Again, I'm not questioning Papa Shango's motives. If you want strange things to happen to you, Vin-Daddy, go right ahead." "No thank you, Eddie. It's bad enough that I'm here with you." PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING -After the promotional consideration advertisements, Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert hype up Saturday Night's Main Event this weekend! Just announced, Ric Flair is defending the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against the Undertaker! Virgil takes on Irwin R. Schyster to crown the first ever WWF Television Champion! As announced earlier tonight, Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice team up to challenge the Beverly Bros. for the WWF World Tag Team Championship! Bret "Hitman" Hart looks to settle his score with the Mountie! Ted DiBiase defends the Intercontinental Championship against Jim Neidhart of High Power! Typhoon is finally cleared for action as the Natural Disasters get a rematch against the Legion Of Doom! "And we're about to find out if we'll see Roddy Piper vs. Shawn Michaels, or the Macho Man vs. Jake "The Snake" Roberts this Saturday night!" says Vince McMahon. -"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper After the entrances are made, Macho Man & Roddy Piper stare each other down as you can cut the electricity in the crowd with a knife. Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert note that Macho Man had opted not to have Elizabeth accompany him to ringside for this match. Eddie says "Maybe the Macho Man has finally realized where Elizabeth's place is... at home getting dinner ready." "Oh come on now, Eddie!" replies Vince. "Now that I think about it, Vin-Daddy, homemade meatloaf sounds pretty good right now." "We have a match to determine the main event of WrestleMania, & all you can think about is meatloaf?!" So much for a feeling out process as Roddy Piper goes straight for a hard slap in Randy Savage's face. Randy fires back with a right hand, & we're off to the races! The match spilled to the outside, with referee Earl Hebner being very lenient given what was at stake. The production crew behind the scenes find a good stopping point as Vince McMahon proclaims "This match will continue when we return. And in the event that it does end during the break, we will show you the conclusion in its entirety! Don't go away!" COMMERCIAL BREAK Back from break, & Roddy Piper has Randy Savage in a reverse chinlock. Randy fights his way back up & brings Piper down with a reverse jawbreaker. Randy runs the ropes & goes for a high knee, but Piper ducks & Randy wipes out Earl Hebner! Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert are wondering what will happen now that there is no ref. Before you know it, the two combatants take the fight outside the ring, & Piper gets the upper hand when he reverses an Irish whip that sends Randy into the timekeeper's area, knocking down the timekeeper as Howard Finkel, who was sitting on the other side, jumps out of the way. Randy is down, & Piper picks him up & rolls him into the ring. Piper turns around, & at first it looks like he's going to check on the timekeeper, who Howard Finkel is helping back up. But instead, Piper goes for the ring bell as Howard turns around & screams for Piper to put it back down! Eddie Gilbert is ecstatic as he screams "Now this is the Hot Rod I knew back in the day!" Despite the fact that it is the Manhattan Center in New York City, the fans in attendance don't seem keen on Piper using a weapon. Piper himself seems to be having second thoughts as Eddie Gilbert screams "Hit him! Waffle him with it! In fact, give it to me! I'll hit him!" "You will stay right here, Eddie!" retorts Vince McMahon. Piper is still having second thoughts as fans in attendance are waving the arms saying "NO!" Eddie Gilbert shouts "Remember the old saying! What the hell?! Use the bell!" Piper finally shakes his head & tosses the bell out of the ring, which the timekeeper retrieves, having recovered from his accidental spill earlier. "What a wimp! Even that timekeeper is tougher as he got wiped out by Randy Savage, & he's back to his feet!" "Eddie, Piper chose to do the right thing. You could look to him as an example of how to be a great human being." Earl Hebner seems to have recovered as he's shaking off the metaphorical cobwebs while Randy Savage is stirring about. Roddy Piper goes to pick him up, but Randy cradles him into a small package! Earl Hebner makes it over & counts... ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner by pinfall: "Macho Man" Randy Savage -"Pomp & Circumstance" plays over the loud speakers as the crowd cheers the result, along with Howard Finkel proclaiming Randy Savage as the winner. Piper sits back up & realizes what has just happened while Eddie Gilbert says "I told you, Vin-Daddy! Roddy Piper had the match won if he just used the bell while Earl Hebner had his back turned, but Piper wants to be a role model for the kids. Well Piper, you just learned that nice guys finish last! And besides, who wants to be nice to a bunch of snot-nosed brats?!" "Eddie, 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper may have lost this match, but in my eyes, he has won over a lot of respect from many people around the world." "Well Piper can take that respect &... well, you know where he can put, Vin-Daddy." Randy Savage is trying to recover as Piper is back to his feet. He looks down as Elizabeth makes her way to ringside, concerned that Roddy Piper may do something stupid now that he lost. Instead, Piper helps Randy up & sticks out his hand. Randy Savage looks around at the crowd, who is cheering him on to shake Roddy Piper's hand. Randy reciprocates & the two men share a hug in the middle of the ring as the crowd cheers both combatants. Elizabeth is all smiles, tears welling up from the touching moment, as she enters the ring & gives the Macho Man a big hug. Roddy Piper offers a handshake, & Elizabeth accepts. Piper tells Randy "Finish off Jake, & go beat the tar out of Ric Flair for me. I'll take care of that loudmouth Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania." Randy Savage tells Piper that he has the first title shot after he beats Flair at WrestleMania. Vince McMahon thanks the fans for witnessing an outstanding edition of Monday Night Raw, while Eddie Gilbert says he's going backstage before he can hurl. "For "Not Feeling So Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert, I'm Vince McMahon saying good night, folks!"
  9. WWF Superstars Airing Sunday, Wk 1, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 1, February 1992) Seattle Center Coliseum Seattle, WA Attendance: 11,409 -We open up with the first roundtable discussion of the show, hosted by Vince McMahon. Joining him as always are Gorilla Monsoon & Slick on one side of the table, & Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler on the other side. Vince notes that this is a special Ladies Day edition of WWF Superstars, but we do have to address the events that transpired this past week. Tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw, "Macho Man" Randy Savage faces "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in a match that has implications for both Saturday Night's Main Event next weekend, as well as WrestleMania VIII. The panel discuss the different possibilities & Bobby Heenan brings up a great point: What if the match tomorrow night ends in a double disqualification, double count out, a draw of any sort? Gorilla Monsoon says that perhaps Pres. Tunney would step in & have the match restarted. The panel also discuss the big news of new WWF World Tag Team Champions, & Vince McMahon teases that while this is a Ladies Day edition of WWF Superstars, they do have to dedicate a segment later in the hour discussing how the Beverly Bros. defeated the Legion Of Doom for the titles. McMahon also says that following the upcoming match, we will see a pre-recorded interview that "Mean" Gene Okerlund conducted with Wendi Richter & her new ally, Tori. -Peggy Lee Leather def. Allison Royal by pinfall after hitting a Belly to Belly Suplex. Basic short match to help put Peggy Lee Leather over, although Allison Royal got a bit of offense too. Lord Alfred Hayes brought up that Peggy Lee Leather was no stranger to Wendi Richter & wondered if Wendi's recent attitude change has made an impression on Peggy Lee. Sean Mooney noted that from what he understood, Peggy Lee Leather prefers to go it alone. COMMERCIAL BREAK -The words "Earlier This Week" flash up on the screen as we see "Mean" Gene Okerlund sitting with Wendi Richter & Tori, both dressed in street clothes, inside a hotel room that Wendi & Tori are staying at. Gene tells Wendi that he thought he knew her years ago when he first met her, but this recent change in attitude came out of left field. "You really thought you knew me, Gene? Like that time you laughed right in front of me during an interview?" "Oh, Wendi, that was years ago, we all thought it was funny. Even you..." "Stop right there, Chrome Dome. You don't speak for me. No, I didn't find it funny at all. In fact, I have that tape & we can show the fans right now what kind of slimeball you really are." Gene protests, but Wendi tells Tori to go get the video tape. She gladly obliges & puts the video tape inside the VCR. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY0b_oqaqDI Wendi makes note that she forgot that Vince McMahon laughed at the whole thing too, with a graphic on the screen saying "Courtesy of WWF TNT, May 24, 1985." Gene reminds Wendi that she was laughing when the cameras went off, & Wendi tells him that was only to make him feel better about himself. Now that she can finally be who she really is, she doesn't have to take gruff from anyone. She points over to Tori, who is glaring down at Mean Gene, & says that if she really wanted to, she could snap her fingers & Tori would finish him off right then & there. "In fact, she was telling me that she wanted to tear you up already, but I told her to keep her cool so that we wouldn't get suspended by that corrupt President Jack Tunney." Tori says "President Jack [BLEEP] is more like it." Gene quips that no wonder Tori almost never speaks, with a foul mouth like that. "You're one to talk, Gene." "Now Wendi..." Wendi cuts Gene off & tells him that now her & Tori's focus is on the women who dare get in their way, with Rockin' Robin being one of them. Wendi says that Robin could've aligned herself with her (Wendi) & Tori, & that they would be the fiercest trio of athletes, never mind ladies, that the WWF had ever seen. But she would rather be a fake, so now Wendi & Tori are going to teach her a lesson the hard way. "And Gene, since Tori & I kept our cools & haven't taken our aggression out on you, Vince McMahon, or any of the other scoundrels who laughed behind our backs... Rockin' Robin's blood is on all of your hands." By the way, for anyone curious, yes, the WWF bleeped Tori when she said "Jack @$$." -Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa def. Susan Sexton & Lioness Asuka by pinfall when Robin pinned Lioness Asuka after hitting the Running Bulldog. This tag match was the perfect segue out of the interview with Wendi Richter & Tori. The two teams went back & forth, getting a good eight minutes or so. Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes put over Susan Sexton & Lioness Asuka as world renown international superstars, having won numerous titles throughout the world. Sean & Alfred also took note of the surprisingly great chemistry between Robin & Cheryl, & how they could give a veteran team like the Nasty Girls a run for their money. COMMERCIAL BREAK -The panelists are back & they interview Denise Storm via satellite. Vince McMahon starts it off innocently enough with the basic "What are your goals?" type of question. Or at least he tries to because Denise cuts him off & says "Vince, I'm not taking any questions from you & those two yes men sitting beside you, Gorilla Monsoon & Slick." "That's Reverend Slick," chimes Gorilla. "Whatever," is Denise's reply. She says that she won't answer questions from someone who disrespects women like Vince McMahon did Wendi Richter, which gets a good belly laugh out of Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler. Denise Storm smiles in agreement & says she'll gladly take questions from the Brain & the King because they know talent when they see it. Lawler asks Denise to give the "Three Stooges" across from him & Bobby Heenan a history lesson on her background. Denise puts over that she graduated from Eddie Sharkey's wrestling school in Minnesota, where many great wrestlers came from... "And even the Legion Of Doom somehow graduated from there." Bobby Heenan quips that Eddie probably let them graduate so that they wouldn't give him anymore headaches, which gets not so pleased reactions from Gorilla, Rev. Slick & Vince. Denise says that she's been in the ring with some of the ladies that have recently arrived in the WWF, & she's going to give them the same beatings that she gave them back then. Bobby Heenan thanks Denise for her time & that he & Jerry Lawler would like to talk more, but Vince is kicking them in the shin to go to Update with Gene Okerlund. Update -"Mean" Gene Okerlund proclaims that we have brand new WWF World Tag Team Champions. He puts over that the Beverly Bros. won the titles on Monday Night Raw earlier this week, thanks in part to the Natural Disasters. We see highlights of the match, then see a promo from the Genius & the Beverly Bros. They brag about how they didn't need help from the Natural Disasters because they had the Legion Of Sissies right where they wanted them. But at the end of the day, the record books won't show how it happened, only that the Beverly Bros. are your new WWF World Tag Team Champions. Back to Gene Okerlund in the WWF Control Center, & he's wondering why the Natural Disasters help another team beat the Legion Of Doom for the titles if they wanted to win those titles themselves. "Perhaps they know they have to climb back up the ladder of contention, so maybe they take out the champions to make their climb a bit quicker? Who knows, but what I do know is that Hawk & Animal are looking to regain those Tag Team Titles. For Update, I'm Gene Okerlund." COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Nasty Girls def. Candice Pardue & Sindy Paradise by pinfall when Linda Dallas pinned Candice Pardue after hitting a clothesline right as Pardue turned around following a distraction from Sensational Sherri. -The panel welcome Penny Mitchell via satellite, & she says that unlike Denise Storm, she'll gladly take any questions from anybody, & even tells Vince not to sweat Wendi Richter. "I've been in the ring with her, & there's nothing to be afraid of. She's just a miserable shrew with no sense of humor." Vince says that if Denise Storm had let him speak, he would've noted that he was laughing more at Gene Okerlund than Wendi Richter. Funny business aside, Penny Mitchell says that she has looked back at her career & realized that she never appreciated the fans, much like Wendi now. "And guess what? It got me nowhere. I blamed everyone else for my shortcomings when I should've been looking at the mirror & blaming myself." Penny says she has a new outlook, & she's going to fight for those who can't fight for themselves. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Misty Blue vs. Debbie Combs Misty Blue & Debbie Combs are the feature match for this week's Ladies Day edition of WWF Superstars. While the fans really didn't react like it was a main event, keep in mind that the WWF has only recently introduced these ladies to television. Misty Blue would get the victory after hitting the Misty Dive on Debbie Combs. Winner by pinfall: Misty Blue PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING -The panel closes out the show talking about the ladies that they got to see in action this week, as well as the ladies that they heard from via satellite. Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler really put over Wendi Richter & Tori as the ladies to watch in this renewed Women's Division, but don't forget about Peggy Lee Leather, the Nasty Girls & Denise Storm. They could be sleepers for success according to Heenan & Lawler. Gorilla, Rev. Slick & Vince liked what they saw from Rockin' Robin & Cheryl Rusa, putting over how quickly they gelled as a team. "Perhaps we see the return of the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship along with the return of the WWF Women's Championship," says Vince McMahon. The babyfaces of the roundtable also liked what they heard from Penny Mitchell, with Rev. Slick saying he could relate to her redemption story. Heenan quips "Yeah, the only difference between you two & the guys on TV is that they're able to get money from the people." Heenan & Lawler laugh as Rev. Slick just shakes his head & tells Gorilla & Vince that he forgives them for they know not what they're saying. With that, Vince McMahon signs off, reminding folks that tomorrow night's edition of Monday Night Raw is a special extended 90 minute edition!
  10. WWF Wrestling Challenge Airing Saturday, Wk 1, February 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 1, February 1992) Seattle Center Coliseum Seattle, WA Attendance: 11,409 -We open with Gorilla Monsoon immediately throwing it to Special Report with Lord Alfred Hayes as big news was made last weekend at the WrestleMania VIII press conference. Lord Alfred Hayes recaps how last Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana, President Jack Tunney presided over a press conference to discuss how the main event for WrestleMania VIII would shape up, & Alfred noted that it was a unique set up for a match of such magnitude. With that, we go to the highlights from the press conference that were first shown on Monday Night Raw, but are being replayed in case you missed Raw this past Monday. To recap, this coming Monday Night Raw, Roddy Piper will face the Macho Man in what is a #1 contender's match as the winner will face the WWF World Champion, whoever it may be, at WrestleMania VIII. If Piper loses, he faces Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania, & Macho Man faces Jake Roberts on Saturday Night's Main Event. If Macho Man loses, he faces Jake Roberts at WrestleMania, & Roddy Piper faces Shawn Michaels on Saturday Night's Main Event. We also see the promos from both Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice where they both apologized for their actions at the Royal Rumble, & yet are more than ready to face each other at WrestleMania to see who the better man is. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Repo Tax def. Scott Taylor & Mike Somaini when Repo Man made Mike Somaini submit with the Crowbar. Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan gave their opinions about the fallout of the press conference, & they also put over the WWF TV Title match next weekend on Saturday Night's Main Event that will pit Virgil against Irwin R. Schyster. -We go to Sean Mooney in the Event Center. He throws it to a promo from Afa & the Headshrinkers. Fatu & Samu look like they're trying to decide who's going to eat some raw chicken first while Afa talks about how he is putting the tag team division in the WWF on notice now that the Headshrinkers are here. Back to Sean Mooney, & he details the recent attack by the Orient Express against the Von Erichs in Chicago. The Von Erichs cut a promo talking about said attack, telling the Orient Express will regret the day that they picked a fight with two of the toughest wrestlers from the great state of Texas. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Papa Shango def. Mike Bell by pinfall after hitting a shoulder breaker that he calls the Voodoo Driver. During the match, Gorilla & Bobby discussed what kind of power Papa Shango had over Jake Roberts, the Undertaker & even Paul Bearer. Gorilla even wondered if maybe there was a chance for Jake Roberts to redeem himself. -After the match, Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan talked about how the press conference last weekend wasn't the only big news this past week in the WWF. Heenan was grinning from ear to ear as he proclaimed that we now have new WWF World Tag Team Champions. Gorilla Monsoon begrudgingly acknowledged how the Beverly Bros. defeated the Legion Of Doom this past Monday night on Raw, but he noted that there was some help from the Natural Disasters. Bobby Heenan shrugged that off & countered that the L.O.D. are always coming to the ring wearing spiked shoulder pads, so it was only fair for the Natural Disasters to help the Beverly Bros. even the odds. With that, Gorilla throws it to an interview "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert conducted with the Genius & Beverly Bros. after Raw went off the air. Eddie Gilbert was giddy with excitement as he congratulated the trio on the big victory. Beau & Blake Beverly said there was no doubt that a strong, strapping duo of brothers like them would topple the "Legion Of Sissies." The Genius graced us with an off the cuff poem: "There were tag team champions and in the WWF, they cast a shadow of gloom. These ruffians were known as the Legion of Doom. However from this darkness there emerged much glee. For your new tag team champions... are the Brothers Beverly!" COMMERCIAL BREAK -Tatanka def. Bob Bradley by pinfall after hitting the Papoose To Go. Gorilla said he was impressed by Tatanka this past Monday night on Raw, & is even more impressed with him here this week on Wrestling Challenge. Bobby Heenan countered that Tatanka has looked good, but wanted to see him against the likes of Ted DiBiase, & especially wanted to see Ric Flair wipe the floor with him. Gorilla told Bobby to watch what he wished for, because Tatanka may send Ric Flair running out of Charlotte & back to Minnesota where he came from. -It's time for the Heartbreak Hotel as Miss Genie welcomes us to the set. Miss Genie is staying close to Shawn Michaels, & Shawn says that she has been closer to him than before because a known criminal is on the loose. "Diane Sawyer, honey, I have got a bigger scoop than you can ever dream of digging up because Robert Tilton has nothing on Owen Hart. This is a man who blindsided the Mountie, attacked officials & even shocked one of them with a cattle prod. Now he's put on a mask, showing up to protest at events & may have even signed a contract to wrestle in the WWF, putting everyone in danger. Well there are two other men who are not happy about this, & I welcome them to the Heartbreak Hotel right now. Ladies & gentlemen, the Mountie & his manager, Jimmy Hart!" The two come out to the set to boos from the fans. As Jimmy & the Mountie protest the recent arrival of the Blue Blazer, the fans start chanting "OWEN! OWEN! OWEN! OWEN!" The Mountie shouts "Exactly! Even you fans know that the Blue Blazer is Owen Hart, & I demand that President Jack Tunney do something about it!" Jimmy Hart sounds frantic as he alleges that President Jack Tunney must be taking bribes from Owen Hart in order to be able to carry on this farce, & he demands that President Tunney be impeached! -Back to the Event Center with Sean Mooney, & he talks about how Bret Hart is looking to regain the Intercontinental Title. We hear from the WWF Intercontinental Champion, Ted DiBiase, who tells Bret Hart that if he wants his rematch, he's going to have to wait his turn in line because at the Royal Rumble, DiBiase proved how much better he was than Bret after he knocked him out with a simple right hand punch. Sean Mooney then recaps what happened this past Monday Night Raw when a mystery woman attacked Debbie Malenko & helped Wendi Richter pick up the victory. "Let's hear from Wendi & her new ally, Tori." Wendi reminds us that Tori is someone who has gotten the runaround for years now as well, & she warns the other ladies of the WWF, especially Rockin' Robin, that she & Tori together will destroy everyone that gets in their way. "And this time, no Ebeneezer Scrooge or washed up old hag will stop us." COMMERCIAL BREAK -Jerry "The King" Lawler def. Brian Costello by pinfall with the Piledriver. Gorilla Monsoon gives Jerry Lawler credit for showing that he can wrestle as good as he talks, but still can't get over what a pompous jerk he has been. Bobby Heenan counters that Jerry Lawler, much like Ric Flair, has been one of the best wrestlers in the world, yet never got any respect. Gorilla replies that if Jerry Lawler wanted respect, all he had to do was make his way to the World Wrestling Federation & challenge the likes of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Kerry Von Erich & others. Heenan's response is that Lawler has gone toe to toe with them, & they have been ducking him ever since. -We see a hype video from Crush, who is walking around at a junk yard, showing us various vehicles that have been crushed at the junk yard. He tells us that he will do the exact same when he arrives in the WWF. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. "The Model" Rick Martel A great back & forth match between two of the finest technical wrestlers in the WWF. Gorilla Monsoon reminisces about how both of these men were tag team competitors, but Bret Hart found success quicker than Rick Martel has. Bobby Heenan counters that Rick Martel has actually done just as well, & that it's not his fault that champions have ducked him. Plus with all of those fashion modeling commitments, he is quite the busy man. Martel tries to get a tainted victory as he sits on top of Bret Hart for a pin & grabs the ropes for leverage, but the referee stops his count at two & yells at Martel, who quickly gets his hands off the ropes & holds them up as if he never held the ropes. Martel gets up & protests the ref for stopping his count, allowing Bret to get back to his feet, catch Martel from behind & bring him down with a German Suplex, which he holds onto for the pin! Winner: Bret "Hitman" Hart -To the Event Center with Sean Mooney we go, & he throws it to a promo from one of the newest ladies to arrive in the WWF, Misty Blue. She talks about how she has been working hard for the chance to finally wrestle in the big time, & puts over that there is no bigger organization than the WWF. She said that she can brag about her past accomplishments all she wants, but they mean squat because she is starting from square one here in the WWF. Sean Mooney then throws it to Sensational Sherri & the Nasty Girls. They talk about how it seems like all the Barbie doll airheads ran away as soon as they heard that the best friends of the Nasty Boys, the Nasty Girls, were on their way to the WWF. They do make note of Misty Blue's arrival, though, saying that she must be the biggest airhead in the world because they beat her from pillar to post all around the world. Yet here she is in the WWF to get beat up by the Nasty Girls some more. PROMOTIONAL CONSIDERATION... PAID FOR BY THE FOLLOWING Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan close out the show by hyping up that we have a big show next weekend, as the Big Boss Man, the Mountie & Orient Express will be in action next week. And no matter what happens this Monday, Roddy Piper will take on Skinner in our feature match next weekend. Bobby Heenan notes that Piper could potentially wrestle twice in one day, which Gorilla Monsoon acknowledged & said if anyone could do it, it was Roddy Piper. Heenan also informs us that he just found out that Shawn Michaels & Miss Genie landed Ted DiBiase for the Heartbreak Hotel next week! "For the Weasel, I'm Gorilla Monsoon saying, so long folks!" OOC: Credit rabbitman from Be The Booker for the Genius poem about the Beverly Bros. winning the WWF Tag Titles.
  11. Thank you very much! Update: I took a break from the TEW side of things so as to avoid burn out. I have a WCW show to run in-game, then I should be good to start writing up & soon post Wrestling Challenge for the first weekend of February 1992.
  12. Sorry to double post. I went ahead & made changes that I had considered, & hopefully this makes for a better reading experience. I will post the champions roll call again soon, probably after the next WWF Superstars is posted in a few days time.
  13. I wanted to get a bit of feedback here for something I'm considering that is cosmetic related. You'll notice that the champions listing (will be updated soon, btw) is in the first post, which puts it in the same post as the backstory. That was because I forgot to reserve another post for champion & roster related listings. I have considered making some edits & moving the champions listings/roster related items into the second post so that it can have its own space. Then move the Wrestling Observer news items I wrote up in the second post into the third post. And if anyone wanted to change their likes that they posted, feel free. But before I do, I wanted to see what everyone thought, gauge the feedback & go from there. Also, I'll periodically copy & paste the champions stuff as its own post every so often to help catch people up if they're reading later into the diary & don't feel like going to the first page of the thread.
  14. WWF Monday Night Raw Monday, Wk 1, February 1992 Manhattan Center, New York City Attendance: 1,200 (Sold out!) Dark Match: -Skinner def. Chris Walker by pinfall with the Gatorbreaker Main Show: -After the show intro, Vince McMahon & Eddie Gilbert are hyping up tonight's show as we see a brief video of the Legion Of Doom training backstage for their title defense later tonight. -Now to inside the arena, with the Manhattan Center fans going crazy & the sirens going off. Vince McMahon says that he has a big surprise for everyone at home. The camera cuts over to show Gorilla Monsoon making his way down to ringside, gently slapping hands with fans on his way to the announce area. Eddie Gilbert is wondering just what is this all about. Vince says "Eddie, since Bobby Heenan sprung you on me a few weeks ago, I thought it was only fair that for tonight only, since he was in the area, I invite Gorilla Monsoon to join us on the broadcast." Eddie is not happy about this at all. "Why didn't you tell me about this until now, Vin-Daddy?!" "I'll be your daddy here in a minute if you don't watch it," retorts Gorilla Monsoon. Vince sends it down to ringside as Sgt. Slaughter & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan make their way down to the ring for tag team action. -Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Duggan def. Barry Hardy & Duane Gill by submission when Sgt. Slaughter made Duane Gill unconscious with the Cobra Clutch. The announce team put over how the tag team division was getting even more competitive now that Sgt. Slaughter & Jim Duggan are finding their stride as a team. -After the match, Vince immediately throws it to Part 1 of highlights from the WrestleMania VIII press conference that took place in Indianapolis, Indiana yesterday. From left to right, seated with empty chairs in between so as to prevent chaos from breaking out: Hulk Hogan & "Macho Man" Randy Savage seated at one table on the viewer's far left. Security is between that table & another table that seats the Undertaker & Paul Bearer. Next to that table is the podium, & then on the viewer's right side, we see Sid Justice & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper seated at their own table. President Jack Tunney makes his way to the podium & says that he has called these men to the press conference because they have all shown that they all have a strong case to challenge Ric Flair for the WWF World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania VIII after their showing at the Royal Rumble. But before he renders his decision, he wanted to bring out the WWF World Heavyweight Champion & his executive consultant to say a few words. Ric Flair & Mr. Perfect talk about how they proved the doubters wrong at the Royal Rumble, & they will prove the doubters wrong again at WrestleMania VIII. It didn't matter who was deemed the #1 contender because Ric Flair is the best athlete in the world today. We cut back to Vince, Eddie & Gorilla at the broadcast table, & Vince says there is more footage from the press conference, but that will be shown later on in the program. "Up next, we talk to Virgil, Tito Santana, Repo Man & Irwin R. Schyster about the big TV Title match on Saturday Night's Main Event between Virgil & IRS. Plus, Wendi Richter in action! The debut of Tatanka! And the Legion Of Doom defending the WWF World Tag Team Championship against the Beverly Brothers!" COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial break, & Tito Santana & Virgil join via satellite from one studio, while Repo Tax join via satellite from another studio. They hype up the upcoming TV Title match to crown the first ever WWF Television Champion on Saturday Night's Main Event in less than two weeks. Repo Tax make their case as to why Irwin will win the match, putting over that Irwin is a superior technical wrestler to Virgil, who only knows how to brawl & throw punches. IRS says "By the way, aren't closed fists illegal?" Repo Man chimes in & says that Virgil can fight all he wants, but once Irwin gets a hold of him & wrestles him down, it's all over. Virgil responds & says that Tito Santana has been teaching him wrestling lessons to help him improve his abilities. Tito & Virgil acknowledge that IRS may be the better wrestler, but Virgil is indeed the better fighter, & all it takes is one blow to hit just right, & Virgil will be the first ever WWF TV Champion. "Add to that the technical wrestling that I have been showing Virgil, & you will be in trouble, Irwin. Arriba!" -Wendi Richter vs. Debbie Malenko Debbie is already in the ring as Howard Finkel announces her, then Wendi Richter comes out to heavier rock sounding music fitting for a vixen like her. Vince McMahon puts over that Debbie Malenko has been plying her craft all the way over in Japan & was trained by the great Boris Malenko. Gorilla Monsoon says that Boris was so impressed by how well she did in her training that he, along with his family, gave their blessing for Debbie to adopt the Malenko name. Eddie says that's all fine & dandy, but she's only a rookie & is up against a veteran of the mat & a woman with a new attitude to boot, Wendi Richter. Debbie gives Wendi a run for her money though & puts up a heck of a fight. However, when Debbie runs the ropes & goes for a dropkick, Wendi ducks out of the way, causing Debbie to accidentally hit referee Danny Davis! Wendi grabs Debbie by the hair & throws her out of the ring. Wendi looks on as an unknown woman dressed in blue jeans with some rips in them & a black leather jacket over a black shirt appears from the crowd & jumps the barricade. Security is about to swarm in, but Wendi holds them off. Are you going to argue with Wendi, after all?! The unknown woman immediately scoops Debbie up & body slams her down hard to the floor. She then picks Debbie up & holds her above her head in a gorilla press, then tosses her back into the ring through the ropes. She & Wendi give each other knowing glances as Wendi rolls back into the ring & revives referee Danny Davis. Wendi picks a lifeless Debbie up, hoists her up onto her shoulders & slams her down hard with a Death Valley Driver. Eddie Gilbert informs Vince McMahon & Gorilla that Wendi Richter told him that she calls it the Siren's Fall. ONE... TWO... THREE! Winner: Wendi Richter -Sean Mooney makes his way down to ringside to interview Wendi Richter & asks her who on earth this unknown woman is. Wendi says that she has recently gotten to know this lady, & that she has the same mindset & goals. Her name is Tori, & she met her while wrestling in Las Vegas before returning to the WWF. Wendi puts over how Tori is not only the most powerful woman she has ever met, she is stronger than even Wendi herself! Wendi warns Rockin' Robin that if she really wants to mess with her (Wendi), then she needs to keep in mind that she's messing with Tori as well. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from commercial break, & Vince McMahon throws to the rest of the highlights from the WrestleMania VIII press conference. Pres. Tunney is back at the podium, & he announces that both Hulk Hogan & Sid Justice lobbied him to wrestle each other at WrestleMania VIII. Tunney says that he told them that if he were to grant that, then they would have to wait for a later date to compete for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. They told him that they were fine with that because they both needed to find out who the better man was. Sid takes to the podium first & says that Hulk Hogan was his inspiration to make it to this level, but everything got out of hand at the Royal Rumble. Sid said that he was so furious at how everything went down that he wanted a match with Hogan at WrestleMania VIII, but in recent days has had regret over how everything went down. However, being a man of his word, Sid will still compete in the match but hopes that it can be a good, clean fight. Hogan gets up out his seat & Pres. Tunney is prepared to try & keep the two big men separated, but Hogan shakes his head & says it's fine. With the way the mics on the podium are positioned, we can hear Hogan tell Sid that he too has had regret in recent days over how everything went down. "And you know what, brother? It's my fault. I yelled at you when the whole thing at the Royal Rumble wasn't even your fault. And even if you had done it on purpose, I still wouldn't have a right to yell at you because the Rumble is every man for himself. I am a man of my word as well, & I will compete in this match to see if I still have what it takes to wrestle at the highest level in the WWF." Hogan sticks out his hand, & Sid shakes it. The two nod before sitting back down at their chairs. Pres. Tunney turns his attention the WWF World Title picture. He says that with Sid & Hogan taking themselves out of the running for the WWF World Heavyweight Title, that leaves three men: the Undertaker, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, & "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. The Undertaker is a former champion & never received a rematch against Hogan after Tuesday In Texas because of his (Tunney's) decision to vacate the title. Therefore, the Undertaker will receive a title match before WrestleMania VIII at a time & place to be determined. That brings us to Randy Savage & Roddy Piper. These two also want to compete against each other, but want to get that match out of the way now before WrestleMania. "That match will take place not tomorrow night, but on Monday Night Raw the following week. Furthermore, the winner of that match will go on to WrestleMania VIII & challenge for the WWF World Heavyweight Title against whoever the champion may be at that point." Tunney pointed out how Savage & Piper still had scores to settle with other competitors as well. Therefore, if Randy Savage wins, he competes for the WWF World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania, & will face Jake "The Snake" Roberts on Saturday Night's Main Event. Roddy Piper would then face Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. However, if Roddy Piper wins, then he would receive the title shot at WrestleMania & face Shawn Michaels on Saturday Night's Main Event. And Randy Savage would then face Jake "The Snake" Roberts at WrestleMania. With that, the press conference is over. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Tatanka def. Buddy Rose by pinfall with a Samoan Drop that Tatanka refers to as the Papoose To Go. -Vince throws it to Mean Gene Okerlund, who files a report from the WWF Control Center. Gene says he was in Chicago this past weekend at the Rosemont Horizon, conducting an in-ring interview with Kevin & Kerry Von Erich when who should show up but Mr. Fuji. Fuji told them that his Orient Express was superior to them in every way, so Kevin & Kerry decided to send a message to the Orient Express via getting their hands on Mr. Fuji. Just when it looked like they were going to get their hands on Fuji, Pat Tanaka & Kato ran in from the audience, slid into the ring & brutally attacked the Von Erichs! We see video footage from the event showing how the whole thing went down. Gene says that the Von Erichs were checked out by medical staff after the attack, & thankfully they didn't sustain any injuries, not even minor ones. Gene said that Kevin & Kerry told him that the Orient Express made a big mistake by not making sure they had finished them off. The Von Erichs have promised revenge & will be looking to finish off the Orient Express once & for all. -Back to the broadcast table, & Vince informs us that the production crew heard about a disturbance going on outside the Manhattan Center, so Sean Mooney & a camera crew were dispatched to check it out. "Sean, what can you bring us?" Sean Mooney is standing outside with a masked individual wearing a cape & holding a sign that says "Reinstate!" Sean informs us that he seems to remember this man, & Eddie Gilbert points out "Yeah, that's the Blue Blazer!" Sean says the man has been outside the whole show holding the sign up while shouting into a bullhorn about how President Jack Tunney made the wrong decision to suspend Owen Hart for 120 days. There wasn't much officials could do because the Blue Blazer is well within his rights to protest so long as he didn't attack anyone or try to enter the building without a ticket. Sean then asks him why he is here protesting Owen's suspension. The Blue Blazer says that yes, he did compete here once before, & left the WWF to wrestle in Japan & Mexico. When he heard about what the Mountie & Jimmy Hart did to Owen, he was disgusted. He was even more disgusted when he heard that Pres. Tunney suspended Owen for 120 days after attacking numerous officials. Eddie Gilbert interrupts on commentary & shouts "Don't you guys hear that voice?! That is Owen Hart!" The Blue Blazer tells Eddie Gilbert not to be ridiculous because he is not Owen Hart. He said Owen was a much better looking man, thus why the Blue Blazer wears a mask. Sean Mooney asks the Blue Blazer if he plans on returning to the WWF, & the Blazer says that while he is unhappy about Pres. Tunney's suspension of Owen Hart, he does look forward to negotiating a new contract to compete in the WWF. Sean Mooney sends it back to the broadcast team, & Eddie Gilbert is beside himself. Gorilla tells him to relax & chill out. The Blue Blazer said himself that he's not Owen Hart. Eddie Gilbert again brings up that the voice was Owen's, so therefore it has to be Owen Hart. Vince McMahon chimes in & says there are people who have similar voices, so how do we know that isn't the case here? Eddie gives up as Vince hypes up that the Tag Title match is next! COMMERCIAL BREAK -Back from the break, & the Genius reads a poem where he makes fun of the Legion Of Doom. He closes it out by saying, "The match will end when the referee counts 'One, two, three.' And Howard Finkel will proclaim to the world, 'Your new Tag Team Champions... the Brothers Beverly." -WWF World Tag Team Championship The Beverly Bros. w/The Genius (Challengers) vs. The Legion Of Doom (Champions) The Beverly Bros. were on their A game tonight as they did battle with the Legion Of Doom. However, Hawk & Animal showed why they had been dominant champions as well. The match went back & forth until the Beverly Bros. gained the upper hand & did their best to wear down Hawk. But he finally managed to make the hot tag to Animal & he tore the house down as the Manhattan Center came alive. Animal tagged Hawk back in as Earthquake made his way down to ringside. Vince wondered what on earth he was doing out here, & Eddie said maybe he wanted to protest this title match like how Owen Hart protested his own suspension. Gorilla corrected Eddie & said that was the Blue Blazer who protested, not Owen. Eddie was not amused at Gorilla's correction. Referee Earl Hebner is distracted by Earthquake's presence at ringside. Animal is as well & hops out of the ring, backing Earthquake off as he shouts at him for being out here. Hawk is doing a number on both Beverly Brothers & looks to have things well in hand. The Genius hops up on the ring apron, & Hawk nails him as well! During the distraction, Typhoon comes in from the crowd & grabs the ring bell. Vince & Gorilla are yelling at Typhoon to put the ring bell back, & Typhoon is yelling back at them. Hawk sees Typhoon & goes over to grab him by the back of his hair, but Typhoon hits him with the ring bell! Typhoon puts the bell up & leaves as Animal winds up deciding to chase Earthquake to the back to try & get rid of the distraction. Earl Hebner turns around & sees the pinfall cover. "ONE..." Vince shouts "No, not this way!" "TWO... THREE!" Winners & New WWF World Tag Team Champions: The Beverly Bros. The Beverlys' music plays & Howard Finkel confirms the title change with his signature announcement, which gets Animal's attention as he appears back from behind the curtain. He is shocked & runs down to the ring as the Genius manages to help the Beverly Bros. out of the ring with the WWF Tag Team belts. They leave the ring & are happy while in pain, & Animal goes to check on Hawk. Animal yells at Earl Hebner, asking him what happened, but Earl says he doesn't know other than he saw Blake covering Hawk. Eddie Gilbert is loving this as he proclaims "First Ted DiBiase! Then Ric Flair! Now the Beverly Brothers are the new Tag Team Champions! And when Irwin R. Schyster wins the TV Title, the WWF will have champions that kids can be proud of!" Gorilla Monsoon shouts "Are you kidding me?! This is a miscarriage of justice! Earl Hebner made a big mistake & should've disqualified the Beverly Bros. for Earthquake's interference!" Eddie points out that Earthquake never touched Animal, & that it was Animal that chose to run after Earthquake. Vince McMahon says that surely there will be fall out from this & closes out the show.
  15. FYI, that Scarlett pic (the one simply named Scarlett) is actually Hollywood from GLOW circa 1993. Here is a picture of Scarlett, AKA Scarlett the Southern Belle.
  16. And Then The Bell Rang: This worker will develop their entertainment skills faster than normal, but their in-ring skills will develop slower than normal. Good Hand: This worker will develop their in-ring skills faster than normal, but their entertainment skills will develop slower than normal.
  17. Wrestling Observer News & Notes: WCW News The recent Clash Of The Champions that took place a few weeks ago in Topeka, Kansas was a success. They managed to sell out without having to paper the arena too much, & it's believed that the Dangerous Alliance storyline is a factor as that has generated new interest in WCW. This is good news indeed as WCW was in need of a strong heel faction with Ric Flair, & effectively, the Four Horsemen, gone from the company. Look for Eric Bischoff to try & ride the JT Southern vs. Van Hammer storyline out. Early reports are that their feud was already bombing, so both of them have been shoehorned into the Freebirds vs. Diamond Exchange storyline, along with El Gigante. I understand the reasoning why as the Diamond Exchange would have an unfair numbers advantage over just Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin. It's just too bad that those talents have to work with dead weight such as Van Hammer & El Gigante, although JT Southern isn't terrible. He's probably best used as someone to put other talent over, though. In one of the funnier stories that I've heard, Scott Steiner made a mess backstage at a recent WCW TV taping. He was brought before Wrestler's Court, where the judge, Harley Race, ordered him to clean up the mess, then buy drinks for everyone after the show. Steiner, who told the story to me himself, with the story being confirmed by Race, did his best Harley Race impression when he quoted Race as saying "Now pick up that damn mess & buy everyone the best drinks on God's green earth!" Even Scott Steiner listens to Harley Race. Eric Bischoff is doing his best to play peacemaker as it involves Tom Zenk, Dusty Rhodes & Ole Anderson. Given the strong personalities involved, getting a great match out of PN News will be much easier. Speaking of the rap master, don't expect his recently formed team with Big Josh to lead to a big push. It's said that this is a short term plan in order to lead to a heel turn from Big Josh. The rumor going around is that he may become a member of the York Foundation, which is getting renewed emphasis with Richard Morton most likely turning babyface to reunite the Rock 'N' Roll Express with Robert Gibson. Thank goodness they didn't rename Terrence Taylor as the Taylor Made Man as was rumored. Big Van Vader defeated Shinya Hashimoto to become the new NWA World's Heavyweight Champion at New Japan's Wrestling World event at the Tokyo Dome. It has yet to be acknowledged on WCW TV, but it may soon get some play as WCW finally reached a settlement with the WWF over the big gold belt that was used as WCW's World Heavyweight Title. This might explain why WCW is in talks to rejoin the NWA, although they may not be a long term member. WWF News Vince McMahon is said to be pleased with Bam Bam Bigelow's recent performances in a dark match before Monday Night Raw, as well as at some recent house shows. McMahon likes that Bigelow can play either heel or babyface, so expect Bigelow to be presented as a bit of a tweener when he does debut on TV. His televised debut is put on hold for now as he is finishing up his commitments with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The numbers are in, & the Royal Rumble PPV buy rate in the US was even better than first reported, with the number of buys totaling 503,752. This is up from last year's PPV buy rate in the US, which is surprising given the scandals that the WWF faced throughout 1991. The intrigue of the storyline involving who would win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship certainly played a role in the interest to the event, & there is an internal feeling that the creative that goes into putting together episodic television on Monday Night Raw could be playing a factor as well. Speaking of Monday Night Raw, the USA Network is pleased with the creative & ratings success of the show, the latter of which may improve even more with the USA Network finding its way into more homes. Given the weak lineup of the USA Network after Raw goes off the air, the network has been granting the WWF an overrun, which the WWF have gladly taken advantage of. There is even talks of the show being granted 90 minutes or even 2 hours on special occasions. Adnan Al-Kaissie, better known as General Adnan, has signed a new 2-year deal with the WWF that doesn't involve having to wrestle in the ring at all. He could still manage if need be, but he is reportedly going to be utilized more as a road agent given his many years of experience.
  18. Ditto, I have to agree. Already love the new Shawn Michaels cuts & plan on utilizing them in my current 1992 save.
  19. WCW Clash Of The Champions XVIII Courtesy of the Pro Wrestling Hotline! -The Steiner Bros. def Big Van Vader & Mr. Hughes -Gordon Solie interviewed Sting, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons, Dustin Rhodes & Ricky Steamboat about Paul E. Dangerously & his Dangerous Alliance. Sting, Windham & Simmons put over how they would take care of Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko in the main event tonight, while Rhodes & Steamboat said they would retain their WCW World Tag Titles against Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton. -Brian Pillman & Marcus Alexander Bagwell def. Cactus Jack & Abdullah the Butcher -Cactus yelled at Abdullah after the match as Abdullah had accidentally hit Cactus to cause the loss. Abdullah didn't take Jack's criticisms very well & the two brawled all the way to the back. -Brad Armstrong, Shane Douglas & Robert Gibson def. The York Foundation (Terrence Taylor, Richard Morton & Thomas Rich) The story of this match is that Alexandra York feels that Richard Morton is the weak link of the York Foundation & has brought Terrence Taylor back into the fold to bring business back up. Brad Armstrong, Shane Douglas & Richard Morton's former tag partner, Robert Gibson, have been trying to help Morton see the light. Even Morton has shown hints that he may be realizing that he's being mistreated by his York Foundation teammates. Morton took the loss here, so you know Alexandra York, Terrence Taylor & Thomas Rich will be blaming him for the loss. -Tony Schiavone interviewed Theodore Long & Butch Reed about Reed's recent return. Long & Reed said they would make Johnny B. Badd pay for being an ingrate after everything Long did for Johnny. -We saw a skit where Kevin Sullivan & Woman are at an undisclosed location that is dark & foreboding. With them is a masked man that they refer to as Dark Tiger. They put over that they discovered him in Mexico, where he hurt everyone with no remorse & no regards to the rules. That's just how Kevin Sullivan & Woman like it, so they have recruited him to help in their quest to vanquish the heroes of WCW, starting with a new superhero who has arrived on the scene: Mr. JL. Sullivan & Woman say that Dark Tiger knows Mr. JL very well. If Mr. JL is Superman, then Dark Tiger is Lex Luthor. Soon, Kevin Sullivan & Dark Tiger will dominate WCW, & they won't need a whole alliance to do it. -Tom Zenk def. JT Southern after a distraction by Van Hammer, who accompanied Zenk to ringside. Southern tried to cheat to win the match by putting his feet on the ropes, but Van Hammer got the ref's attention. The ref kicked Southern's feet off the rope, & Southern yelled at both the ref & Van Hammer, allowing Zenk to get the win with a Flying Crossbody. -JT Southern was furious & proceeded to get in a wild melee with Van Hammer. -Tony Schiavone interviewed Paul E. Dangerously, Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton before their WCW World Tag Title match against Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes. Paul E. said that Dustin Rhodes pulled a fast one on Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko back in November, but things are different this time around. Now it's the Dangerous Alliance pulling a fast one on Steamboat & Rhodes by throwing a new combination at them that they've never faced before. Arn said that last time out, he admits that he & Larry weren't prepared for Rhodes to bring in Steamboat. But now, are Steamboat & Rhodes prepared to face a new tag team combination that they have never faced before? A combination that brings together the two best tag team wrestlers in the world? The trio walk off as Bobby Eaton doesn't have anything to add. -Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton def. Ricky Steamboat & Dustin Rhodes to win the WCW World Tag Team Championship after Paul E. Dangerously threw his cellphone to Eaton, who blasted Rhodes in the head with it while the ref was distracted with Anderson & Steamboat brawling outside the ring. -Eric Bischoff is backstage to interview Diamond Dallas Page, who is with the Diamond Studd & one of the newest members of the Diamond Exchange, Scotty Flamingo. Eric Bischoff reminds DDP, who is wearing a cast on his right arm, that Scotty Flamingo was to replace him in the tag match against Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin, the Fabulous Freebirds, tonight. But Flamingo now has his arm in a sling, so Bischoff wants to know just what is going on, & questions the validity of DDP's & Flamingo's "injuries." DDP, Diamond Studd & Scotty Flamingo are all mad at Bischoff's line of questioning & say that they had doctor's notes to prove that the injuries were legit, but DDP's dog ate the doctor's notes. Bischoff rolls his eyes as DDP reveals his big surprise to team up with the Diamond Studd: standing at 7 feet tall, none other than the newest member of the Diamond Exchange, Vinnie Vegas. Vegas says he's known Dallas since his days of working as a bouncer in Las Vegas, & tonight, he's going to help bounce the Freebirds out of WCW for good, capiche? -Vinnie Vegas & the Diamond Studd def. The Fabulous Freebirds thanks to outside interference from DDP. Scotty Flamingo distracted the referee, allowing DDP to clock Jimmy Garvin in the head with his cast, allowing Vinnie Vegas to hit the Snake Eyes on Garvin to win the match. -Michael Hayes, who was brawling with the Diamond Studd outside the ring, sees what has transpired & goes in to attack, but the Diamond Exchange start beating him & Jimmy Garvin down. Jim Ross notes that DDP & Scotty Flamingo don't look too hurt to him, but Jesse Ventura countered & said that great outstanding athletes like them can withstand the pain. El Gigante then came down to the ring & cleared everyone out save for Vinnie Vegas. Despite giving up seven inches in height to El Gigante, Vegas refused to back down & had to be talked out of the ring by DDP. -Missy Hyatt interviewed Harley Race & Lex Luger, who put over tonight's WCW World Title defense against the Great Muta. Missy Hyatt questioned Harley Race & Lex Luger about when Lex Luger would finally put the WCW World Heavyweight Title on the line against Sting, noting that they were ducking him the whole time he was #1 contender. Race & Luger said that they would face Sting when the time was right. -Lex Luger def. The Great Muta to retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. -Backstage, Missy Hyatt tracked down the new WCW Commissioner, Magnum T.A. She asked him what he thought about what Harley Race & Lex Luger had to say about how Luger would put the title on the line when the time was right. Magnum T.A. said that neither Harley Race nor Lex Luger can decide when title matches take place, only the Championship Committee &/or the Commissioner can. Magnum said that the most Harley & Lex could do would be to get approval from the Championship Committee &/or the Commissioner for open challenges, when to defend against someone, etc. Magnum said he talked with the committee while they watched Luger's title defense just now against the Great Muta, & they all agreed that at SuperBrawl II, Lex Luger would defend the WCW World Heavyweight Title against Sting, & there is nothing Harley Race & Lex Luger can do about it. -Gordon Solie is backstage with Dangerous Alliance members Paul E. Dangerously, Madusa, Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko. They talk about how Phase One is complete with Arn Anderson & Bobby Eaton winning the WCW World Tag Team Championship. Phase Two is now upon us, with the Dangerous Alliance set to decimate Sting & his friends. -The Dangerous Alliance (Rick Rude, Steve Austin & Larry Zbyszko) def. Sting, Barry Windham & Ron Simmons when Arn Anderson ran in & nailed Ron Simmons with a DDT while the ref was knocked out. Carnage was the name of the game as the match broke down into a melee toward the end, with Rude, Austin & Zbyszko fighting it out with Sting & Windham outside the ring. Before Sting & Windham could get any measure of revenge on the Dangerous Alliance, Paul E. got his group out of there as fast as he could as Sting & Windham opted to check on their teammate, Ron Simmons.
  20. I figured it was a good idea to get her back in the ring to help bring up the popularity of some of the women I have signed, at least the ones I want to have plans for creatively. Her main focus will still be managing, but if I want to use her in a match to help generate some extra reaction, why not go for it?

Jimmy Snuka -Roddy Piper def. Skinner -Sid Justice def. The Berzerker -Randy Savage & Bret Hart def. Ric Flair & Ted DiBiase Out of Character: Keep in mind that these "house shows" (ran as Lesser events) took place prior to the WWF Royal Rumble. I wanted to wait until after the Rumble, & after a few TV shows were posted, so as not to spoil certain things. I thought it might be fun to run the WWF a bit like how it was back in '92, even with this being an alternate universe, complete with the WWF testing out some things on house shows & in dark matches.
  23. I would add that maybe we could even have a road agent note saying whether to use a secondary finisher if the wrestler has one, or to use no finisher at all. No finisher at all would be useful for those times when you book a match & you want the finish to be due to outside interference, whether by another wrestler or by a manager. Or, if a worker has more than one of a secondary, regular or uber finisher, then you can select which finisher to use.
  24. WWF Superstars Airing Sunday, Wk 4, January 1992 (Taped Tuesday, Wk 3, January 1992) Dane County Coliseum Madison, WI Attendance: 9,131 (Sold out!) Main Show: -We start with the opening roundtable discussion. Vince McMahon is moderating in the center, with Gorilla Monsoon & Rev. Slick on the viewer's left, while Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler are on the viewer's right. They talk about the plans they have tonight for the big football game (that's American football) later tonight. Bobby Heenan says that like Hank Williams Jr., all of his friends are coming over tonight. Gorilla Monsoon asks if his "rowdy" friends are coming over as well, & Heenan is rather indignant. "I would never, ever invite 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper over, Monsoon." Jerry Lawler says he's having a royal feast fitting for a king such as himself, & will invite Eddie Gilbert & his family over. Rev. Slick asks "Didn't you used to have problems with Eddie & his family?" Vince McMahon interjects, "I believe he did, & I hear Eddie at one point ran you over with his car!" Jerry Lawler accuses the babyfaces of the roundtable of trying to stir up trouble by digging up the past. Bobby Heenan calls Gorilla Monsoon & Vince McMahon hypocrites for pretending to be Rev. Slick's friend with all of the things they used to say about him, to which Rev. Slick says he knows how they felt about him, & quite frankly, he couldn't blame them. Gorilla says "He also didn't try to run over anybody with a car." Jerry Lawler throws up his hands & goes "What's all of this about running over people with cars?!" With that, Vince throws it over to our first match of the afternoon, with Sean Mooney & Lord Alfred Hayes on the call. -Haku def. Sonny Blaze by pinfall with the Tongan Spike. COMMERCIAL BREAK -Vince McMahon welcomes Irwin R. Schyster & Virgil to the show via satellite. They are being interviewed by the panel to discuss the upcoming TV Title match on Saturday Night's Main Event in two weeks, now on FOX for two hours! IRS says that Virgil has been a very lucky man over the last year, but eventually, luck runs out. He says we're already seeing signs of that with Virgil having lost the Million Dollar Title to Ted DiBiase. Virgil says that kind of talk is why he fights as hard as he does, & that it wasn't luck that's carried him this far. Bobby Heenan says it has to be something, because he remembers how he got the stuffing beat out of him when he was Ted DiBiase's bodyguard. Rev. Slick points out that maybe Virgil has always been that good, & that's why Ted DiBiase hired him to be a bodyguard: to watch his back, & keep him from having success of his own & overshadowing him. Gorilla Monsoon asks the question all of us are asking: "What exactly are you doing here, Irwin, if you're supposed to be working as a tax accountant?" IRS responds that there are so many tax cheats in the WWF that he has no choice but to get his hands dirty & collect. Virgil says he already paid early, so if Repo Man does any funny business, Tito Santana will stop him. After more debating with the panel, Vince McMahon throws it to our next match. -Shawn Michaels w/Miss Genie def. Wellington Wilkins Jr. by pinfall with a Tear Drop Suplex. COMMERCIAL BREAK -We see one more hype video for Tatanka, about how he's arriving in the WWF & debuts tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw! -The Beverly Bros. w/The Genius def. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine by pinfall when Beau pinned Valentine. -The panel welcomes High Power, consisting of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart & Koko B. Ware. They say that Pres. Tunney's 120 day suspension of Owen Hart is unjust considering that the Mountie almost ended his career, while Owen only roughed up a few officials. Jerry Lawler points out that most of those officials were retired former wrestlers & their frail bodies couldn't take the damage Owen inflicted when he snapped. Koko tells Jerry that he just contradicted himself. Those officials being former wrestlers & all, they should be tough enough to withstand what Owen dished out while he was angry at the Mountie. Bobby Heenan asks "So if Owen Hart hurt them even worse, that would be a-okay with you guys?!" Jim Neidhart says that they did worry that Owen was about to go too far, which is why they ran out to stop him. High Power comment that they can't wait for Bret Hart to finally be able to get his hands on the Mountie in less than two weeks on Saturday Night's Main Event. -Raymond Rougeau conducts a platform interview with Harvey Wippleman, who brings out his clients, Hercules & the Warlord. Harvey puts over that with both Hercules & the Warlord in his stable, he cannot go wrong. He again puts over that he has plans for one man to win the WWF World Heavyweight Title, & the other to win the Intercontinental Title. "Who knows, maybe they will also win the Tag Team Titles. More gold means more money for all of us." COMMERCIAL BREAK -The Von Erichs def. The Orient Express w/Mr. Fuji by pinfall when Kevin Von Erich pinned Pat Tanaka after a flying cross body. -Time for the last panel discussion, & they give their thoughts on the tag team match we just witnessed. Gorilla Monsoon & Rev. Slick both point out that Kerry Von Erich seems to have found his groove again since teaming with Kevin Von Erich. Bobby Heenan & Jerry Lawler though think that the Orient Express may be on their way back, pointing out how they were more aggressive this week. Vince McMahon hyped up next week's Superstars program, how it would be a special Ladies Day edition of Superstars. "We will see the women who have arrived recently in action, & we will even talk with some of them throughout the show." Vince also puts over that we'll see highlights from this afternoon's WrestleMania VIII press conference tomorrow night on Monday Night Raw. Bobby Heenan asks how can the press conference be going on right now if they are here at the studio. Gorilla Monsoon: "Because we tape this before it's broadcast, remember?!" Vince McMahon points out that indeed, by the time the audience at home are watching this, he is in Indianapolis for the press conference. Bobby Heenan says "Wait, if you're here, how are you in... Oh I'm confused!" Gorilla Monsoon & Rev. Slick are hardly surprised at Heenan being thrown off, while Jerry Lawler tells the Brain they're doing this to him on purpose to try & make him look bad. Vince reminds us that we'll also see the Legion Of Doom defend the WWF World Tag Team Titles against the Beverly Bros. tomorrow night, then closes out the show as the credits roll. Post-Show Dark Match: "Macho Man" Randy Savage & Sid Justice w/Elizabeth def. Jake "The Snake" Roberts & The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer via pinfall after Savage rolled up Jake while Sid & Undertaker fought all the way to the back.
