<p>Hey guys, just in hospital where my second child has been born so I have a little time on my hands to write a post.</p><p> </p><p>
Supreme Challenge 38 (2018) went down just yesterday and I was massively pleased with how it went down. It took loads of planning but the whole card was full of storylines and very few fights were thrown together.</p><p> </p><p>
These 10 bouts all had some sort of storyline. I've got my head round the game now and got better at having feuds last a good while, not just three straight months, and putting more than two people in a storyline:</p><p> </p><p>
Gague Brothers came up short against Natural Athletes (Des Davies and Ross Henry) - don't you love when you put a tag team together and it feels almost cannon - but will win titles next month.</p><p> </p><p>
Vengeance defeated Dark Angel. More for the spectacle of these two meeting that anything else. I edited it to allow Angel to work in the US, he's about the 3rd most popular wrestler in the world & a C in the US so why can I not hire him.</p><p> </p><p>
Nicky Champion defeated Scythe. Really felt this worked well. Side attraction to the above. Angel beat Scythe to get him over on a previous PPV and these 4 had a tag match as well and then Champion wins a short match here.</p><p> </p><p>
Valiant went over Jay Chord, the blow off for these two after feuding for months.</p><p> </p><p>
Primus Allen finally got his hands on Mikey Lau in a Last Man Standing match after Lau cost him the North American title. It wasn't pretty. </p><p> </p><p>
Multimillionairo beat Angry Gilmour to retain the NA title. This is part of the same storyline as the above.</p><p> </p><p>
Money in the Bank style 6 way including Rogue, Josh Taylor, Brandon James. Rocky Golden wins. He's just lost twice to Remo so no idea when he'll cash in but we'll see. </p><p> </p><p>
Sean McFly went over Rich Money. These two will have better, longer matches before this feud is settled.</p><p> </p><p>
Jack Bruce beat Wolf Hawkins. First time 1 v 1 for these two. They've shared a ring many times, including the famous 2 v 2 Steel Cell match also featuring Rich Money & Angry Gilmour, but never 1 on 1 and I was thrilled to get an A* for this.</p><p> </p><p>
Finally Remo shockingly defeated Champagne Lover in their once in a lifetime match. With Lover off to film a movie only days after the event he couldn't take the strap. Flash pinfall, tainted win, interference from Hawkins, all leaving plenty of storyline when Lover comes back. Only an A for this one. </p><p> </p><p>
After all this I realised I had ZERO planned for after the event. Absolutely nothing. Hawkins and Bruce will rematch but not straightaway. Chord has joined with Hawkins to keep Bruce busy. Champion and Vengeance will fight Remo for the belt in a three way. Vengeance will cost Champion the belt and they will have a casket match to blow off the feud. </p><p> </p><p>
Longer term plans include: a possible Bruce heel turn, a Hawkins/Money split and turn for one of them. Lover finally taking the belt. Maybe a Golden vs Lover once in a lifetime match with a handshake afterwards.</p>

<p>Right guys. Plan was Remo v Champagne Lover at Supreme Challenge. Once in a lifetime match with Lover winning the strap.</p><p> </p><p>
But, Champagne Lover leaves to film a movie a week or two after SC. I went ahead as planned and had Lover win the Rumble so it seems like I have 2 options that I can think of.</p><p> </p><p>
Continue with the plan but have Remo win instead. Or put Nicky Champion into the mix and do a triple threat and have Champion run with the belt for a while.</p><p> </p><p>
Any thoughts on those two options or anyone got any more?</p>

If you put the strap on him right before he left that's just from not paying attention. <p> </p><p> He shouldn't be gone that long. You could pull a ECW (The FTW World Heavyweight Championship) and have a new guy bring in his OWN world title belt and then have him wrestle CL when he comes back to unify the titles. SWF has a bunch of unused belt models in the game, or you could use a generic one.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks, it's still 2 months 3 weeks away but I've been planning him going over Remo at SC since the day he started. It's not very realistic, should be some negoitation involved when it's your top guy. Maybe I'll have someone else win the rumble now.</p>

<p>Guys, </p><p> </p><p>
Champagne Lover is off to film a movie a couple of weeks after I was going to put the belt on him at Supreme Challenge. </p><p> </p><p>
Can I put the filming back a bit so he can have a short title run and then head off?</p>

I’ve been struggling with a name</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Smack Search?</p><p> </p><p> The X-Pac Factor?</p><p> </p><p> America's Next Top Superstar?</p><p> </p><p> Raw Idol?</p><p> </p><p> RAW Talent is pretty good I think.</p>

I Quit, Texas Death and Last Man Standing all fit the bill I guess. I did a 2/3 falls match and it was 2-0 to the winner (and I did an Iron Man match that was 3-0), that seemed a bit silly to me. I can't see where I can specify the number of falls, do I have to choose keep strong to get the loser a fall?</p>

What stip do people go in for to blow off a feud if they don't quite want to bring out the steel cell?
And while I'm here, what relevance does the prestige of a stipulation have?
If I blow off a feud with a low prestige match like a strap match, does that ding my rating?

<p>Scythe as The Undertaker.</p><p>
Ernest Youngman as Bret Hart.</p><p>
Primus Allen as Brock Lesner (edited to make him younger.)</p><p>
Joey Morgan as Chris Benoit (again, way younger.)</p><p> </p><p>
Sure others with more experience will be better at this than me.</p>

I think you guys are really overthinking this. Don't be so formulaic in your booking-- just do whatever feels right at the time.
The WWE title doesn't only change hands at WrestleMania and Summerslam.
Yeah, it's not only about the title, I could have worded that better. It's your "season finale", it's the flow of the year. The big 4 WWE work perfectly in this regard.
I was reading a thread only the only day where a guy said "I book WM to SS and SS to WM."

SWF - September 2017
SWF World - Wolf Hawkins
SWF North American - Primus Allen
SWF Television - Freddie Huggins
SWF Tag - Hero Squad
That last one was actually a botch on my part, I had a four way tag going on and wanted to end it with a sports entertainment finish and I had people complaining about the booking and somehow things got changed to Hero Squad winning the belts. So The Mask (Masked Cougar and Masked Patriot) only made 1 defense and dropped the belts by mistake.
-
So I've not quite got into the rhythm of the SWF calendar yet.
I had Valiant beat Remo at TSC in 2016. He held the belt till the next SC. I had him beat Wolf Hawkins there, (you can't have the heel going over at SC) but I had Hawkins beat him at the next PPV.
What I don't have is a big Summer Slam type event for him to drop the belt at. Christmas Clash could work but ideally I'd like to keep that 4 v 4 Survivor Series style.
Was considering tweaking the calendar.
How do people tend to book the SWF world title?

You don't have to turn the numbers on.
Just chill out.
The game is best when played as a personal story tool. Stop worrying about being good at the game. It's fine to ask how the game works, but try to just play the game for fun and experiment yourself.
It's just a game mate. I am chilled out.

<p>I was putting off turning on the numbers, but as this is obsessing me I'm going to have to do it aren't I.</p><p> </p><p>
I did have keep strong on for Bruce. </p><p> </p><p>
I'm going to try and set up a brilliant match with my two best guys and try and pop a rating.</p><p> </p><p>
Thanks all.</p>
-
<p>OK guys, thank you. Dirt sheet is now on.</p><p> </p><p>
What is this inconsistency I've seen Bruce penalised for a couple of times? And penalised for booking decisions? What, not having Remo go over clean? The match of the half year is a no contest so that can't be a big deal.</p><p> </p><p>
<img alt="H9feyRf.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/H9feyRf.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>
This failure to have more than a couple of A graded matches is driving me nuts. I sign people who were having them all over the show and then they join me and it is B+ for them max.</p><p> </p><p>
Does spinal impact moves being banned have a decent impact? Is it worth turning them on all the time? I allowed them in this fight.</p>

I'm trying to put on the best show possible the whole time. The idea of calming the crowd is really counter intuitive to me. </p><p> </p><p> Maybe this is the answer to my match rating problem.</p>

<p>Not sure I did this right. Thought these images would embed.</p><p> </p><p>

I cannot work out why these only got a B rating.</p><p> </p><p>
(Tips on images appreciated if you can't see these.)</p>

When you're running a show, the button on the right hand side will say Dirt Sheet, if you click that it'll show you what influenced the ratings for your show</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Cool. I'll give that a go. Thanks to everyone, this forum is really helpful.</p><p> </p><p> So no reason a Sports Entertainment fed can't get up with other types of promo in terms of match rating. I tweaked thing a little to be more realistic. My match danger is 40% rather than 25%. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing in the long run. </p><p> </p><p> Just put on my first A rated PPV so pretty pleased about that.</p>

Are there chemistry issues, inconsistencies, poor gimmicks or momentum? What about your production values? Do you have warnings on them? Are your announce desk contributing towards making the match better? Are your managers doing good work at ringside or not? Are you getting any bonuses for the Road Agent or not etc. Are you getting penalties for low locker room morale?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've heard of the dirt sheet tab but not quite sure which one that is.</p><p> </p><p> We're talking about a year of matches, some of those had issues but some seemed to go down a storm. Every week I am told "match had great wrestling and exceptional heat" or something like that. No warnings, just standard. Is it worth the money to put them up. Bonuses for the Road Agent? Not sure about that one. I've been down to 70% for the locker room but up to 100% not. Most of my main eventers don't have managers.</p>
-
<p>So I've played a year as SWF. I think my highest rated match is B+. I've had great matches where people are rated A or better for their performance. And yet the match is only B plus. I don't have anyone ranked at all high in the Power 500. </p><p> </p><p>
Are my settings around match intensity/danger and the other set-ups holding me back with a penalty?</p>

<p>Tag Experience</p><p> </p><p>
Is tag experience based on minutes in the ring or no. of matches?</p><p> </p><p>
Is a 2 minute match worth the same as a 30m one?</p>

A re-gen about 24 years old or so called Dennis Hunt (don't know of who) had risen to no. 2 P4P in the World by being 11-0 with Alpha-1 but had only ever made weight at HW twice. So he was called a SHW and not ranked at HW. He was also the Alpha-1 HW Champion as of course one of the times he made weight was in his title match.
I noticed that for some reason he had become non-exclusive and immediately signed him and put him in a fight with Fujimoto. He missed weight, but lost a 30-27 decision. As soon as he comes back from the injury he picked up, I am going to put him in another tough fight. Possibly against Satinho who's coming off a title loss. Must already be a couple of years since the A1 HW title was defended due to all the weight loss. I might stop booking him if I can get him to lose 3 or 4 in a row and let A1 book him in a title fight.

<p>Figureheads.</p><p> </p><p>
Jack Bruce is in time decline as I near the end of 2018. I'd like to insert Champagne Lover as figurehead. Is it better just to do it the sooner the better?</p><p> </p><p>
I'm still getting a 6% boost with Bruce but it used to be 11% I'm sure.</p>
