  2. Very pleased this has gotten some support, got the first few shows written up but just need some small starting post and then I can get going. Should be soon! Thanks, it sure is a unique company. I imagine people have different ideas of what a product like this should be so I just hope my vision of it sits well with others. Time will tell!

  4. Definitely think it could be worth persuing. One think that came to mind though is from the way you described the scenario the new company definitely sounded more like underdogs. If you were sure you wanted to be TNA I think the challenge is thinking of a realistic scenario in which the new company can straight away legitimately challenge them. I think the court settlement thing is a great start for that don't get me wrong I just think even if they stole quite a few big names that doesn't quite mean they are equal. Although others may disagree...?
  5. I'm not the best person to take diary advice from and I definitely wouldn't say the matches are the strongest parts of my diaries but I'll chip in my thoughts. Especially as you answered my question on the small questions thread! I would say a lot of it depends on the type of promotion you are going to do, to use real world examples I feel like a ring of honor diary would NEED to place some detail into the match writeups whereas with something like WWE I think you could definitely get away with just using the match outputs, at least for smaller matches. But personally as cheesy as it sounds I would say it all simply depends on the story you are trying to write, if all you want the reader to take from the match is that this person won and perhaps hype up his finishing move then the match output is enough. If you want to you stress that it was some epic battle then perhaps some detail is needed, if you want to get some heat on a heel then mentioning how he cheats or whatever in the match. None of these mean you have to go into a step by step account of the match but perhaps treat it more like you are explaining some highlights (personally I find this easier to do if I use bullet points). If you feel the entrance to something is important but nothing of note happens in the match then go ahead and just mention the entrance. Most importantly though (and perhaps again with the cheese) I would say it's whatever you enjoy writing. I don't think there is much of a set expectation of what matches should be so just go with whatever you would most want. Anyway I've rambled on mostly to avoid the work I'm meant to be doing but I hope it helped a little bit!
  6. Just having a little check in case anyone fancies some sort of collaboration i.e not necessarily a multi player but a diary where we join creative forces. How easy it would be in practice I don't know but in theory it could be great to have a diary with 2 or 3 committed writers where content could be posted often. Anyone is interested at all then feel free to message me.

On the first Tuesday of September season 1 begins. <hr color=" black">*I'm currently just sorting some graphics and odd ends out, so this should hopefully be starting in a few days. It will of course be all explained in more depth in the actual thread but for anyone interested this is somewhat of a prelude to this diary, the second post contains links to each show, monthly recaps and a super short full summary of the entire 6 months.

  9. I definitely think a diary can be good even if its post mainly for the results, aslong as the general direction of the game is interesting. For example even if you never watched ECW/WCW/WWF in the attitude era, there's still an interesting story there. I've been wanting to do a similar thing but with another person or two for a while now infact. (if anyone is interested let me know!) I think you should go for it, personally any but the thunderverse one sounds good to me, but that's just because I've never gotten into it, I'm sure there's a demand.
  10. I agree, the headdress doesn't work. It's really hard to cut feathers on a 150x150px picture and get all of the angles right. Wasted about an hour even getting it that good! I feel your pain! Thanks for the rest though, to be fair I think I will actually use the headdress one in my diary, but whenever he is backstage or something, these others look better to actually wrestle in. A Rick Law prisoner would be cool, also... not an exciting idea but I'd be interested in seeing Joey Minnesota with a shaved head, but that might just be me.
  11. I agree, looks great but would be interested to see one without the head dress. But either way, thanks!
  12. http://i1168.photobucket.com/albums/r498/christmas_ape/TCW/RockyGolden_alt1-1.jpg Could anyone change this Rocky Golden to fit a native american gimmick? Preferably with quite a lot of face paint.
  13. I was in a very similar position but with TCW, I was quite lucky that the rosters and even pushes were very similar to 2010 so I didn't have to change much. Not looked at CGC in great detail but I believe it's quite similar for them too? Either way they are one of my favourite promotions so I will look forward to a diary for them
