I truly don't remember what the game was like at release at this point, changes have been made. My only complaint about the game, are finances, and I've been able to solve that issue in my saves.

I disagree. The game while flawed was built on a new engine. I think we will see another one around 2025

I always bring Bret back. No matter what game, I always let him rest for five years and then I have him return for one last glory run in the late 2000s.

I've found success but I found it entirely depends on their attributes. If they have wrestling in the blood or time is just a number, I found they are more likely to return. If they just retired, it might take a year or so. When it doubt, use the editor too.
