He looks like a meathead that spends all the time in the gym, but once the match starts he shows he is more than just a muscle factory. In fact he shows some nice counters as well as at one point attempts and narrowly misses a standing moonsault that Lorenzo was lucky to get out of the way from. Really Lorenzo was surprised at first and he didn't fare well to start, but his experience was the deciding factor as he capitalized on mistakes that Raul made to take control. It is chaotic in nature and the two go out it looking as two men that genuinely dislike one another. If anything the nature of the match plays up to the strengths of The Anarchist who is in control of much of the match and is the first to draw blood too when he slams Snake into the post. Snake is tenacious though and keeps finding ways to fight back and use his submission skills often to take down The Anarchist. In the long run it seems Brown Snake just outlasts a tiring Anarchist who finally falls victim to the Snake Bite. Battered and bloody, a victorious Brown Snake holds his hand up high while looking down at his fallen opponent.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner: Brown Snake</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> Rating: 28</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="vg055B2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vg055B2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <img alt="pRknlC7.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pRknlC7.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>BBOA Commonwealth Championship</strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="gNlLsx6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gNlLsx6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="5SfqidN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5SfqidN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="OMNDU1u.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMNDU1u.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>Lee Bawes © vs Vance Sturt</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Two veterans just delivering a very old school match that is a nice follow up to the rather chaotic nature of the previous match. Both men vie for control and get their share of time on the offense. It is a even match with both men comparable in size and strength. Vance comes close several times to look like he may win it all, but Lee finds the energy to kick out at the last moment every time. It may be sheer luck that Lee manages to slip free of whatever move Vance was planning on next because he lands in a way he can grapple and hit Vance with a big German suplex. The champ starts to gain momentum and Vance never recovers at this point. One Brainbuster Suplex later and the champ retains.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Winner and STILL Champion: Lee Bawes (Defenses: 3)</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;"> Rating: 29</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="gNlLsx6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gNlLsx6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="rAp7RE5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rAp7RE5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="hCOZRPc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hCOZRPc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="G9TnGRp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/G9TnGRp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="dSmTknx.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/dSmTknx.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Things get chaotic once again quickly. This time in the form of Taniko Jo coming to the ring with Maniac Monster and Maelstrom at her side. She starts to instruct them to attack when Hack the Hunter quickly comes out to even the odds. We'll see who comes out on top and who gets sent packing back to the bottom of the pile."</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Rating: 29</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="vg055B2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vg055B2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Final Rating: 30</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Septimus Stubb's thoughts: Yeah, I know what you are thinking. Why a five man match, right? Truth is it wasn't fully in the cards, but it will be a good way to see how some of the more green guys like Hack and Maelstrom look when in the ring with top guys like Lorenzo, Lee, and Maniac Monster. It hasn't been easy establishing a pecking order and hopefully this way I can find out who I can trust in putting into higher profile matches. Maybe that and I am just not ready to do Lorenzo and Lee one on one just yet.</p><p> </p><p> Dee and Raul are both new additions. I am just trying to pad out the roster so we don't see the same faces lose to more established guys. Both are green with Dee a much overall polished performer, but Raul is a star in the making if I can get the kid some more ring time. More on those two at a later time.</p><p> </p><p> Beyond that I am pleased with the show. The No Holds Barred match was a decent enough slugfest that helped The Anarchist out as a whole I think. A wild brawl just plays to his strengths and Brown Snake is good enough he can work pretty much any match I want to put him in. Jesse and Lorenzo both looked good in their matches working with the much less experienced talent which pleases me as well. The time will probably come when both square off and honestly it would be insane for me not to eventually pull the trigger there since they honestly are going to probably be the top two guys eventually until they go elsewhere.</p><p> </p><p> As for why Vance showed up? Well it kind of helped give Lee another challenger without feeding one of the regulars to him. Not only that I have known Vance for years and he has done a few shows with me prior to BBOA since he lives nearby. He is looking to wrap up his in ring career soon so I figured it was a nice way to let him go out and have a title match even if it isn't a big one.</p>
  2. Lee Bawes is two for two now in his first few defenses and it looks like he will be facing an unnamed opponent so far at the next BBoA event. The Commonwealth champion will certainly be up for the challenge as he has not backed down from even the biggest of men that BBoA has to offer. Could this finally be Lorenzo Oliverio's time? Or will someone else step up to the plate to see if they can claim the gold? Brown Snake and The Anarchist just don't like one another and is has shown throughout the early months of BBoA. The two look to settle things in a match with no rules other than one man must win via pinfall or submission. It is not going to be a pretty sight and also a match that you won't want to miss. So far no other matches have been confirmed, but there shall be plenty of action come next month as Bad Boys of Australia present: Unstable
  3. Septimus Stubbs was spending some down time in his living room tapping away at his laptop and enjoy himself some fine bourbon on the rocks. He was scouting more talent to possibly bring in to fill out the bottom of the card a bit more and rotate guys in and out. There was a lot of fresh, young talent and even a few now free agents roaming about that have left their previous employers. The latter he wanted to avoid. They already have a solid body of work (for the most part) and he is more about exposing people to a few newer faces. It has also brought him to checking out video of men trained by New Zealand Pit Bull. Mostly retired now Pitty has been training some new guys and it seems like the old bastard had a knack for finding good talent. What Septimus has found are a few lads that are green as grass, but all but one seem to just have a lot of upside. Guys that if handled properly could be big players in ten years or less. One in particular had his attention and he was watching some tape on practice matches when his phone rang. Looking to it the name he saw come up was a familiar one. One he hasn't seen in a few months, but belonged to someone he considered a friend. Far be it from him to ignore it so he answered while pausing the video. "Hello? Hey, yeah, I am doing good. Things are a bit crazy the past few months, but can't complain. What are you doing?" There is a frown that crosses his features as he listens. He supposes he shouldn't be too surprised by what he is hearing. Doesn't mean he has to like it. "I'm sorry to hear that, mate. You were done dirty and I was always hoping for you to pop back up...." There was a pause. After a moment's thought he decided to speak up again on the matter. Sometimes you just to help a friend out and he is going to do just that. "Hey, I got an idea. Want to hear it?"
  4. Bad Boys of Australia: Tear it Down Friday, Week 1, May 2020 51 Attending The scene starts much like last month. Lorenzo Oliverio makes his way to the ring. Not does he only still look angry, but in that short time he seems a bit more muscular overall which only seems to add to his 'I'll kick your ass if you look at me wrong' attitude. Lorenzo: "After that joke of the match last month I demand my title shot. The one I deserved since this stupid company was created. No more games, Septimus. I want Lee Bawes tonight and I will show these people who the real champ is around here." Not Septimus Stubbs Banky Bremner instead comes out which does not please Lorenzo. The smaller wrestler gets into the ring and doesn't seem intimidated at all. He asks for a microphone for himself as he confronts Oliverio. Banky: "You sure talk a lot of crap for a guy that has one match here. I may not be the biggest guy here, but I look to make a statement just like you. You don't get Lee tonight. I challenge you. Show me what you got." Lorenzo looks absolutely PISSED at this point. He takes a few moments then clocks Banky with the microphone. Lorenzo: "Your funeral!" Rating: 31 Lorenzo Oliverio vs Banky Bremnar To no surprise Lorenzo starts with the advantage after the surprise attack, but he is also being too cocky about it. Eventually Banky surprises him with a big forearm that staggers the bigger wrestler and unleashes a few crisp strikes and a nice dropkick to take Lorenzo down. His flurry is short lived though and Lorenzo recovers and starts to take control again. Banky bumps like mad for Lorenzo who after a few more moments of toying with Banky puts him away with a Back Stabber. Winner: Lorenzo Oliverio Rating: 34 Hack the Hunter, Jesse Tasman and Trey Tallman vs Taniko's Toys This whole match is a pretty out of control mess. Too many bodies and only one referee leads to Bradley Regan lets them all just go at it. Among everyone it is Jesse that perhaps comes out looking the best as the fans really get behind him and he even manages some impressive moves such as being able to heft Janus and dump him out of the ring followed up by launching himself outside to wipe out with the big man. The wild brawl comes to an end when Jesse and Janus are still down and out and Hack is outside hammering on Maniac Monster. Trey is doing his best to fight off Maelstrom, but his strikes do little. He is launched off the ropes and Maelstrom hits the Sky High Samoan Drop and picks up the win as Hack can't get away from Monster quick enough to break things up. Winners: Taniko's Toys Rating: 26 After the match Taniko taunts Hack to get in the ring as Maelstrom stands ready and motions for the other big man to get in and fight him. It was partly a distraction to see if Monster could get a sneak attack in, but Hack catches it and staff comes in to break up the whole mess and get everyone to the back. Rating: 30 Loaded Glove Match Rob Edwards vs Adrian McGhee Much like the last match between the two it is a hard hitting affair and the two do really well to make their dislike of one another rather obvious. Rob uses his stiff strikes to control a good portion of the match until Adrian starts to rely on more dirty tricks to slow Rob down. He goes for the glove several times, but can't seem to put Rob down long enough to grab it and the two have to keep fighting again. Rob seems less interested in the glove himself and just inflicting punishment on his rival too. Adrian gets an eye rake in and posts Rob before tossing him out. It finally gives him time to climb up and get the glove. He climbs back down and didn't realize Rob recovered faster than he expected and turns right around into a big roundhouse kick. Rob picks up the glove and puts it on as he waits for Adrian to get up. Adrian is on wobbly knees as Rob nails him right in the face with the glove then goes for the pin. Winner: Rob Edwards Rating: 42 BBOA Commonwealth Championship Lee Bawes © vs The Anarchist A large improvement from last month's main event as The Anarchist looks like he can bring the goods when faced off on a more seasoned opponent. A nice back and forth match with Lee using suplex variations to put The Anarchist down only for the challenger gets up to keep coming back for more. At one point their brawling causes Bradley Regan to get hit with an errant elbow and go down. The Anarchist finds this to be the perfect time to try and use it to his advantage as he downs Lee and goes for a chair, but... Nope! Brown Snake stops him and starts to lay some fists into The Anarchist and tosses him back in the ring. Snake sits in the chair with arms folded as Lee has recovered enough to go after his opponent. Regan recovers to see Lee put the painted freak away with a perfect Brainbuster Suplex. Winner and STILL champion: Lee Bawes (Defenses: 2) Rating: 35 Brown Snake is more than happy to get in there and go after the recovering Anarchist and they start to exchange blows. Septimus Stubbs and crew come in to break it up and after finally getting the too separated it was announced next month will be No Holds Barred match between the two. Rating: 22 Final Rating: 35 Septimus Stubbs' Thoughts: Good show all around tonight I would like to think. Banky maybe small, but he plays the plucky underdog so well. Made for a good quick match. Also had Rob and Adrian deliver another banger of a match and a good main event. The Anarchist was probably at his best tonight so it made for a good main event too compared to the last one. Even the six man wasn't a bad match given how green a lot of those guys are. Helps Maniac Monster, Jesse and Trey could kind of lead the others when needed. I am a fan of this outing and did my best to keep involvement at a minimum after being around a bit too much to my liking last month as well. Think I might scout some talent to round out the roster a bit more. Guys that can be a nice filler opponent so we don't see the same people eating pins month after month. (Hi, I'm not dead. Just been a crazy few weeks. Got hit by a giant truck called life. When asked why his reply was 'I did it for the MHero'.)
  5. Last month Lee Bawes made his first defense and it looks like things are only going to get tougher now. Little is still known about The Anarchist other than he seems to dislike Brown Snake and he seems to have a high threshold of pain given a few chair shots did little to him. Now he gets to challenge for the title in what might be one of Lee's toughest tests to date. Adrian McGhee and Rob Edwards just don't like one another. Adrian already has one up on Rob due to a questionable win, but Rob gets another chance at his nemesis with Adrian's favorite way to win hanging up on a pole. Either man can reach for that loaded glove and use it. Will Adrian retrieve it and use his weapon of choice to win or will Rob dismantle the rough and tumble biker before he ever has a chance to get it? Bad Boys of Australia: Tear it Down will also feature a the first ever six man tag match as well. Will Lorenzo Oliverio make an appearance as well? You'll just have to show up and find out!
  6. Glad you are enjoying! Lorenzo is one of those guys that is still young enough I figure if there is another game down the line he'll be in APW or RAW if those companies are still around. A fine worker just hitting his prime right now. And speaking of Lorenzo.... Piss off....piss off?! Sure, Lorenzo knew it was just Septimus Stubbs being in character, but what if he wasn't!? For some reason those two words stuck with Lorenzo that evening and the next morning he hit the gym and hit it hard. Something he would continue to do. The motivation was unintentional, but the next time Septimus would see Lorenzo? Well Lorenzo will be asking 'Who do you want to piss off now, HUH?' MEANWHILE ACROSS TOWN Septimus Stubbs: "Huh, did you feel a weird chill just a moment ago?" Bradley Regan: "I'm sure it is nothing. Want to book the show?" Septimus Stubbs: "Yeah, you're probably right. Time to get back to work." Unlocked: Lorenzo got swole
  7. Never been one too worried about ratings. I still gain pop right now so not a huge deal. Not to mention for me the title match always goes last no matter how bad the opponent. Not to mention usually the first defense is a gimme and Wesker was about the best choice for this show at least. Don't worry. The matches will get better....maybe. If not blame MHero
  8. Bad Boys of Australia: Point of No Return Friday, Week 1, April 2020 51 Attending The man that attacked the new champ makes his way to the crowd. There is a cocky swagger to his movements and he looks full of confidence as he grabs a mic and gets into the ring. Lorenzo Oliverio: "For those who haven't seen me before you should have been seeing me for months. I am the man that got passed over for large goons and old has beens when I should have been the one holding the title high last month. I am Lorenzo Oliverio and I am here to stay. Not only that I am here to claim with is rightfully mine. Lee Bawes, I challenge you for that title tonight. Forget the meathead Wesker if you aren't afraid." It isn't Lee Bawes that comes out. Much to the annoyance of Lorenzo it is Septimus Stubbs who comes to the ring instead. Stubbs isn't looking too happy and he has a mic of his own. Septimus Stubbs: "Your attitude is exactly why you weren't around in the tournament. You have no place to make demands and you sure as hell don't get a title shot. You want to be here so bad? You want competition?" Lorenzo Oliverio: "There is no competition. There is me and everyone else. You know I am the uncrowned champ so stop pussyfooting around and give me what I want." Septimus Stubbs: "Piss off! You want a shot you earn it. Prove your damn worth and I'll give you one. You can start tonight." Lorenzo looks livid as Stubbs waves to the back as he gets out of the ring. It looks like there is an impromptu match starting. Rating: 32 Lorenzo Oliverio vs Dizzy G Lorenzo doesn't look pleased and poor Dizzy finds that out quickly as he is assaulted when trying to get into the ring. Lorenzo showcases his skills against his smaller opponent and seems to be working out the frustration of how Septimus talked to him. Dizzy does get a little offense in, but he is for the most part overwhelmed. Dizzy G soon falls victim to a Back Stabber and Lorenzo picks up the win rather handily. Winner: Lorenzo Oliverio Rating: 38 Brown Snake vs The Anarchist This is more of a nasty brawl than anything else. Something that tries to play to The Anarchist's strengths since Brown Snake can do a bit of everything. The pacing is just a bit all over the place and the match is a bit sloppy due to Anarchist seeming a bit off his game as well. They exchange big hits and at one point Regan takes a bump and is dazed. During that time Anarchist gets a chair. He goes for a swing but misses and snake capitalizes by taking the chair swinging too. He misses as well but Regan recovered enough to see that part and calls for the bell. Brown Snake knowing he has already been DQ'd just shrugs it off and hits Anarchist with the chair which only seems to make Anarchist a bit angry. Another hit does knock the man out of the ring though and Brown Snake stands tall in the ring with the chair as The Anarchist stares at him from outside. Winner by DQ: The Anarchist Rating: 25 Taniko Jo is out in full force with all three of her toys in the ring ready for the match between Janus and Hack the Hunter. Things aren't looking good for Hack until.... Twice in a show? Really? Septimus Stubbs steps out and shakes his head as he points towards Maelstrom and then Maniac Monster. Septimus Stubbs: "You know you all think you can do what you want. I am not letting the inmates run my damn asylum. You and you. get out unless you want to be suspended. Taniko, you can stay, but if I see your boys try to come back out the whole lot of you are out of here." Taniko is livid and after some complaining and Stubbs not backing down it looks like Maelstrom and Maniac Monster are forced to leave. Rating: 23 Janus with Taniko Jo vs Hack the Hunter Big lad battle and a pretty decent one at that. Janus holds up his end of things well enough even though it is evident Hack is the one directing traffic here. Some heavy kicks and punches and not much in the way of wrestling as the two just look to batter one another. Taniko does her best to get involved, but Regan seems pretty aware of what she is trying to do and keeps focused on the match. Janus still finds a way to start getting some momentum and gets some nice big hits in, but he goes for his Faceoff big boot and it is caught by Hack. Hack starts to make his comeback and he swings Janus into the ropes who bounces off and gets hefted up and nailed with Hack's Epic Side Suplex. Taniko is livid as Hack picks up the three count. Winner: Hack the Hunter Rating: 26 Adrian McGhee vs Jesse Tasman A really good match between two of the better talents on the roster. A back and forth affair with the crowd really getting behind Jesse which only seems to annoy Adrian. Of course it isn't long before Adrian is doing his best to use underhanded tactics to gain an advantage and he is beating on Jesse for a good while. Him getting cocky though allows Jesse to get something of a second wind and fight back. Adrian is beaten pillar to post and he seems desperate to stop this momentum. He rakes Jesse in the eyes and when Regan is checking on Jesse Adrian goes for his loaded glove while hunched in the corner. Nope! Rob Edwards must have been close by watching, because he seems to come out of nowhere to snag the glove before McGhee can pull it on. Adrian is livid and he gets taunted by Rob as he waves the glove around. Jesse has recovered at this point and nails the distracted Adrian. He quickly nails the Fireman's Carry Slam and gets the win as Rob watches on with a big grin. Winner: Jesse Tasman Rating: 39 Adrian is recovering in the ring and slowly getting up when Septimus Stubbs comes out to stand next to Rob. He asks for the glove and gets it and holds it up as he takes a mic in his free hand. Septimus Stubbs: "You like using this huh? Well you two have a problem and I know a good way to resolve it. Next month I am going to put this damn thing on a pole. If you want it so bad you can try to get it, but I am sure Rob here might like to use it on you after what you pulled last match. Have fun, sunshine." Adrian is not pleased and Rob just smacks a fist into his other hand and grins at McGhee. Rating: 27 BBoA Commonwealth Championship Lee Bawes © vs Jonathan Wesker Lee's leg might have recovered, but it is more amazing his back didn't go out trying to carry this one. It is a pretty bad match with Wesker doing some power moves early on and little else. It is a pretty big drop off in quality from the last match and even worse is it has to be kept a bit short and slow paced to keep Wesker from tiring out too quickly. Lee does end up coming out on top as experience seems to win out over power and youth this time around. He manages to heft up Wesker and nail the Brainbuster Suplex to retain. Winner and STILL Champion: Lee Bawes (Defenses: 1) Rating: 24 Final Rating: 28 Septimus Stubb's thoughts: You take the good, you take the bad, put them together and what you have is this show*. Wesker is green as grass, but I thought Lee could get a bit more out of him. The Anarchist seeming to be a bit off his game didn't help his match either. I kind of blame that one on ring rust at least. Hack and Janus is about what I expected. Janus is probably the least talented of Taniko's boys, but he is at least a step above Wesker as far as ring work goes. The good thing is Lorenzo showcasing how good he is as well as Dizzy selling his ass off for Lorenzo. Adrian and Jesse also had their working boots on and show that we do have some talent that can put on good matches that can get the crowd invested. A crowd that is slowly growing in size so we must be doing something right. Still a balancing act right now, but I got general ideas of what I want to do. Right now it is more finding viable opponents for Lee, but I got a few ideas there too. Good on Brown Snake taking my advice too. It has only been a month since I had the talk about him maybe getting more in shape and he showed up looking a bit more toned. Just that alone gives him a better overall look and I think it will help him find work with a bigger company. Also...three times? Christ I should cut back on my appearances. The fans like it and all, but this should be less about me and more about the guys that can still go in the ring. Maybe I am just having a hard time letting things go and still enjoy being out there even if at best I can take a bump or two and throw some hands. * You also get the facts of life.
  9. It took three months, but Bad Boys of Australia have their first Commonwealth Champion in Lee Bawes. It was a chaotic match that saw Lee overcome the odds to become the first champion. Battered and bruised he may be, but there is no time to rest as his first defense will come against the powerful Jonathan Wesker. Wesker was eliminated early in the tournament, but he has picked up wins in both singles and tag action since. Will Lee lose the belt as quickly as he gained it or will he find a way to win again? And what of the man who attacked him after he won last month? Will Lorenzo Oliveiro make his presence known again and cost Lee the title? Brown Snake has had some tough luck in the past few months. The Anarchist has targeted him for some reason and cost the wrestler from competing at BBoA's first show as well as losing in a tag match. Now Snake finally gets his shot at the maniacal force in a match. Can he get his revenge or perhaps did he bite off more than he can chew with this one? Finally Hack the Hunter will go one on one with Janus. Taniko Jo's group of monsters have been clashing with Hack since he turned down her offer and things don't look to be changing any time soon. After perhaps costing Maniac Monster the title last month he now goes one on one with the big bruiser, Janus.
  10. New Signing Lorenzo Oliverio Good size and look for a kid that has been around the business for half a decade. I have used him a few times before the formation of BBoA and he always did well and was one of our bigger stars. Don't see why he can't be one of our top guys right now as well. Also a very positive guy to have around and willing to put over guys even in the back. Heck, just one show and he was already telling me Brown Snake is worth keeping around. Sure he wasn't telling me something I already didn't know, but for a kid like Brown Snake it must be nice to know some of his peers have his back and are encouraging too. Seriously surprised at times APW still hasn't picked this guy up, but maybe this will be a good platform to let him get recognized. It was somewhere in between shows when Septimus Stubbs and Bradley Regan were working on things for the next show. Regan: "Ron* is still upset about that accident I am told." Stubbs: "Heh, not like Lee is going to let him forget about it any time soon. A damn shame. Shit like that happens, yet here we are with two of our best not really wanting to work with one another." Regan: "Time heals all wounds I guess. Or we can hope." Stubbs: "Mnn, yeah. Not always too sure of that. I can see if I can get them to work out their differences, but I'm not holding my breath." Regan: "I'll keep tabs on them. Make sure they don't start any fights in back or the like. I think Lee is professional enough to not do that." Stubbs: "God I hope so. I don't need our champ acting like a complete dick. Least we got a lot of good kids working for us. Carey came up asking for ways to improve. Kid is good in a lot of ways, but told him to maybe hit the gym a bit more." Regan: "He is rather plain I guess. Least he doesn't have a gut or anything." Stubbs: "You also know damn well plain looks can sometimes ruin a worker. I told him to just try to get in better shake and the offers will come. Too talented otherwise for good things not to happen." Regan: "Yeah, he'll do fine I think. So did you want to finish up figuring out these matches?" Stubbs: "Yeah, after we get another round of drinks." *Maniac Monster ** Brown Snake, not Carey Elwes

It is vicious and hard hitting affair that really makes it seem like the two don't like one another. Still it is usually only something that slows Rob down and never stops him. Those hard hitting kicks and strikes are wearing Adrian down Rob looks ready to go in to finish things. That is when Adrian gets a surprise roll to pin Rob, though it isn't a clean one. Bradley Regan is out of position and he doesn't see Adrian put his feet up on the ropes to help secure the win. Maniac Monster is a destructive force, but Lee is tough as nails and gets his own strikes in. It is fast paced, hard hitting, and it sort of falls apart about half way through. It is hard to see what is going on, but Monster seemed to misjudge a throw to the outside which makes Lee land awkwardly. Both men seem visibly upset, but the match continues with Lee obviously favoring his leg. Those two start fighting and create quite the distraction. Taniko is screaming and Bradly Regan gets distracted by the chaos and tries to break it up. That allows Janus to recover and try to help Maniac Monster only to miss his big boot and hit Maniac Monster instead. Big German Suplex by Lee to take out Janus then he quickly lifts Maniac Monster and quickly delivers the Brainbuster Suplex. Regan returns to the ring as Taniko is in hysterics and Lee pics up the win. He slips away as Lee quickly gets checked on.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Rating: 28</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="vg055B2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vg055B2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Final Rating: 29</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Stubbs Thoughts: Well dammit, that didn't end well. Monster and Lee were doing a damn fine job and Lee ended up suffering a swollen calf muscle that hurt the remainder of the match afterwards. I ended it sooner by sending out the cavalry to start the chaos and let Lee pick up the win. Glad it wasn't worse or else things could really off the rails. Lee will recover quickly enough, but I kind of had to get between him and Maniac after the shower. Maniac Monster was already feeling bad, but Lee decided to really start tearing into him and tell him to be more careful. Really the first real problem in back I have had to deal with.</p><p> </p><p> And yeah, we got yet another new face. The roster is pretty thin and with three heels kind of needing to be protected for being monsters having an expanded roster helps here. Lorenzo is someone I have used in previous shows before forming BBoA and he has made a pretty good name for himself in the Perth area. Honestly probably the biggest name we have.</p><p> </p><p> Rob and Adrian delivered. A really fine match that exceeded expectations and honestly after the first two matches the fans needed something like that to help get them more fired up and ready for the main event. I knew the tag match wasn't going to be much and Wesker needs so much work, but it is needed experience for all men involved and for Wesker working with someone like Trey is only going to help in the long run.</p>

The BBoA Commonwealth Championship tournament all comes down to this. The fiery master of the suplex, Lee Bawes takes on the horrifying Maniac Monster. One could say this would be a great one on one contest, but given Taniko Jo's tactics this could easily be one on four. It will be a hard hitting affair either way and the stakes couldn't be much higher.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="Xc4MSp2.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Xc4MSp2.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="UEKzhNU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/UEKzhNU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> It started off with two men bumping into one another. Adrian McGhee isn't a nice guy and took it personal. His retribution for such a simple thing? He got Rob Edwards eliminated from the championship tournament. Now Rob will get his chance at meeting Adrian in the ring. McGhee could very well regret the decisions he made or he may just find the right underhanded tactic to seize victory for himself.</p><p> </p><p> Those aren't the only matches that night. We'll also see Trey Tallman take on Jonathan Wesker in a battle of strength versus experience. Even some of my buddies over at RAW are saying business is down as far as attendance.</p><p> </p><p> Regan: Buddies at RAW? Why aren't they able to get you a job there? It has to be better than losing money and running shows in front of a few dozen people.</p><p> </p><p> Septimus Stubbs says nothing. He just thinks back to a fateful day where he made a call to see if he could get a job backstage. The laughter followed by a loud 'nope' before being hung up on just causes him to let out a bit of a sigh.</p><p> </p><p> Stubbs: Oh I don't know. Not my style. It isn't like we are going out of business. I had plenty of money set aside. 15. More New Faces Banky Bremner Stubbs: I like what I saw of Banky. The guy is a bit on the small side, but he is athletic and sometimes you get a guy because he is good at one thing. In this case I was told he kid could sell and boy can he. Is he ever going to be more than a midcard guy? I don't know. he is only twenty years old so he has plenty of time to improve. I think he may need to add some more muscle, but time is on his side at least. Dizzy G Stubbs: Dizzy signed up soon after the last show. I saw a charismatic kid with some good moves. His downside is he is even smaller than Banky, but at the same time he shows the same athleticism and pretty good ring work for a guy who has only been wrestling for three years. It will be a big uphill battle for him, but once again he has time on his side so if anything he will get some experience that will help him if he ever finds work elsewhere that doesn't involve him fighting guys almost twice his weight. Maelstrom Ho boy. Another big one. I was a bit iffy on this, but Taniko wanted a little group to manage so I capped her here. Trying to book two big monsters is tough enough, but three? Well I guess I am up to the challenge and at least with someone like Hack I got a guy that looks like he can stand toe to toe with all of them. I know little at how well this guy can work so I once again I am unsure if I am getting another Janus or another Maniac Monster. I can hope for the latter, but I don't think I will be that lucky.
  16. Bad Boys of Australia: Collateral Damage! Friday, Week 1, February 2020 44 Attending Taniko Jo is out with her two monsters looking pleased with herself. Why wouldn't she be? Both are in the semi-finals after rather big wins and if both advanced she is going to be managing the champion no matter what. In full smarm mode she takes a microphone to address the small crowd. Taniko Jo: "Last month I unleashed monsters from my toy chest and no one could stop them. I can't see it being any different tonight. That title is as good as mine when both of these fine specimens advance to the final where they will fight it out to see who is the better man." There is a pause and a wicked grin crosses her features. Taniko Jo: "Oh, and Hack the Hunter. Don't worry. I have a very special present for you when you take on Maniac Monster. I do hope you like it. See you all later~" She cackles and leads both her men into the back. For now the show is starting off proper with some tag action Rating: 25 Jesse Tasman and Brown Snake vs Nathan Rigger and Jonathan Wesker Sing it kids. One of these is not like the other! That other would be Jonathan Wesker who is kept to a minimum when it comes to ring work. He tends to deliver a few power moves and tag out. It works well and helps keep the match flowing more properly. A pretty even contest before four of the younger talents on the roster that seems some trading of momentum. Usually a tag to Wesker is what helps put his team back in control, but eventually Jesse and Brown Snake start to mount a good comeback. All looks to be going well until.... Dammit The Anarchist makes his presence known once more and his emergence greatly distracts Brown Snake. In this case the painted misfit doesn't even need to attack. It just distracts Snake long enough to get taken out by Wesker who dumps him out of the ring then flattens Jesse soon after. He delivers a Fallaway Slam on Jesse as Rigger adds some boots to Brown Snake on the outside. The Anarchist just turns about and stalks away seeming content with the results. Winners: Nathan Rigger and Jonathan Wesker Rating: 26 Banky Bremner vs Adrian McGhee Adrian just starts to laugh and mock the smaller Banky. It looks like he isn't going to take things seriously until Banky shows he is quite agile and adept at countering moves to where he starts to get some offense in. That changes Adrian's tune quickly and he goes for an eye rake to stagger that offense and use his size to control. He ends up dominating a good chunk of the match using his time to punish Banky who does his best to make a comeback, but gets overwhelmed. Adrian doesn't even try to put on his loaded glove for this and puts Banky away instead with a big piledriver. Winner: Adrian McGhee Rating: 36 Adrian McGhee looks like he is about to add some insult to injury, but Rob Edwards comes rushing in to attack. The two start to brawl Adrian is doing his best to escape. He manages to do so when people are trying to pull the two apart and Rob looks about ready to start attacking security when... Septimus Stubbs hits the ring to try and calm Rob down. Rob seems to ease up and Septimus quickly gets a microphone. Stubbs: "Enough of this. You got screwed and I know it, Rob. You want his ass so bad then next month you get it." Adrian does not look pleased by this decision as he stands up near the entrance. Rob just nods and turns to give a big grin at his prey. Stubbs: "You made your bed, Adrian. Now lay in it. I think you are going to regret pissing this guy off." Adrian looks frustrated and heads to the back as Septimus leaves the ring now that things have been quashed. Rob soon heads to the back as well so the show can continue. Rating: 26 Lee Bawes vs Janus with Taniko Jo There is no sight of Maniac Monster so Taniko Jo must be either be keeping him fresh and ready for the next match or she has full confidence in Janus. Or it could be both. Janus certainly seems to have things well in hand at the start. His size and strength are used to their full advantage as he makes it hard for Lee to get any sort of momentum. It is a rather dominate effort like his previous match to start, but Lee ducks the Faceoff and starts to mount a comeback. He uses stiff strikes and rattles Janus before hefting him up for a big suplex. Taniko is in a panic now as Lee starts to roll. He starts to toss Janus about as the adrenaline kicks in full get. Her impressively gets Janus up to deliver a big Brainbuster Suplex and gets the pin leaving Taniko Jo in shock. Winner: Lee Bawes Rating: 24 Hack the Hunter vs Maniac Monster with Taniko Jo and Janus A dazed Janus is recovering on the outside as the other semi-final gets started. Looks like Taniko is making him stay at ringside and is berating him as Hack and Monster Maniac clash. This is just a big lad battle with big powerful hits and neither man giving up much ground. Hack is perhaps the one man that can go blow for blow with Maniac Monster and he is doing that right now and more. He actually has Monster reeling which has Taniko in a panic at first, but then there is an evil look and she glances towards Janus for a moment and winks. That is when she starts to distract the referee by getting on the apron. Janus is getting up to try and get into the ring only for Hack to see and take him out. What Hack doesn't see.... Oh shiiiii- A man looking straight out of the asylum and made of nothing but muscle coming out from the back and into the ring. He nails Hack from Behind and delivers a big Samoan Drop to him before rolling out. Taniko grinning finally drops off the apron to let the referee turn back in time to see Maniac Monster putting away a dazed Hack that was getting to his feet with a Death Thumb. Winner: Maniac Monster Rating: 32 Taniko just laughs as her men lay boots to Hack a bit more before she gets in the ring. She poses as the crowd boos and her now three strong unit stand behind her obediently. Rating: 26 Final Rating: 31 Septimus Stubbs' Thoughts: A much better main event showing even the big lads can put on a good match. Helps both Hack and Maniac Monster are both pretty talented guys for being so young. As for Janus? Oh yeah, he has a lot of work to do. Like a few of the boys he is going to need a few years before he makes something of himself I gather. Maelstrom is another one Taniko wanted to bring in and well he has the look, but I am unsure if I am getting another Janus or Maniac Monster. I guess I will find out soon enough. Kid looks great at least and often when you are a big guy that will get you work. Banky was kept off last show for causing a bit of a mess in the back last week. Bradley assured me it won't happen again so I decided to see what the kid could do. Play a damn good underdog is apparently the answer. A lot of credit goes to Adrian, but in this case those two easily put on the best match of the night. Given the results I am pleased with how everything is going. I feel I got the best finals I could set up talent wise right now and I got some other ideas too. Decided to send another pair of contracts earlier in the day so probably will have another name or two to add depth. Just a way to keep from having the same guys facing off over and over early on. Also wasn't sure if I was going to get involved with things other than back stage, but well I figured I looked like the kind of guy that could run a madhouse full of personalities like the one we have. Is it long term? I don't know. Kind of felt good to be out there in front of the people again. My knees and back are shot, but I can still talk and I still look tough if I do say so myself. For now I guess I will see how things go.
  17. The injury bug strikes! I think it was my first test run of 2020 with NYCW I had three happen in one show. Thankfully all were ones that only took a few weeks to a month to heal, but man was that frustrating. Good, clean, fun show as always. Always enjoy your work.
  18. I always have followed a philosophy that one of me teacher's told me. Keep things like a skirt. Long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep things interesting. Always good to have the usual suspects following after all these years as well as any of the new people experiencing my brand of weird for the first time.
  19. Don't do anything I would do and you'll be fine.
  20. Eight men have now been knocked down to four after the first round of the BBOA Commonwealth Championship tournament has concluded. Taniko Jo promised some surprises and produced two monsters in Janus and Maniac Monster who both won their matches. Janus made rather short work of Trey Tallman, but it did take some work, and help from Adrian McGhee, for Maniac Monster to advance. Meeting Janus in the first semi final will be Lee Bawes who had a very tough match against Adrian McGhee and manages to move on. It is certainly an uphill battle for the veteran at this point. The other semi final will feature Maniac Monster taking on Hack the Hunter. Hack was approached by Taniko Jo in the closing moments of the show and offered a spot on her side. The big man declined and could be in trouble. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Even more so when that woman controls a dangerous man like Maniac Monster. Elsewhere there will be two other matches that evening. In the first ever tag match in the company we will see Brown Snake and Jesse Tasman face off against Jonathan Wesker and Nathan Rigger. Snake was supposed to take on Rigger last week before assaulted by a mysterious man that quietly left after pummeling Snake. Will he be lurking about again? Can Rigger get revenge on Tasman who defeated him in one on one competition at the last show? Jonathan Wesker certainly could be looking for a win too after being bounced from the tournament. Also in singles action will be Adrian McGhee who will be taking on an unnamed opponent. It has been pretty mum on who he is facing, but many are disappointed it doesn't seem to be Rob Edwards whom McGhee helped eliminate from the tournament. It looks like we will have to wait and see who it is come the first Friday of February, 2020 at Bad Boys of Australia: Collateral Damage.
  21. In the usual bar Septimus Stubbs spends way too much time at he sits at a table with Bradley Regan discussing things about the previous show and what is to come. The first show did well in the eyes of both and Bradley had mostly become the second in command to Stubbs backstage. To the point one lad was a naughty boy and it was Bradley who had to play judge. Stubbs: "So you think he will behave now? I was going to find a spot for the kid, but I didn't really want to reward bad behavior." Regan: "I wouldn't worry about it. He apologized and helped run some errands for me before the show started. I also told him he had to buy me and the boys some drinks after the show and he did without complaints." Stubbs: "That's good. Last thing I really want is troublemakers. Or at least one make trouble which will make others think they can do it." Regan: "Don't worry about it. If I feel like I have to grab you I will. What are your thoughts on the next show." There is a slight shrug. Septimus was fine with how things were going. It is a small group of people which at least means it is sort of easy to book around. He is keeping things simple as a whole while he just lets the company attract more people. Stubbs: "Really? Just keep kind of pushing with what I got rolling. The tension between Rob and Adrian, the strange man that attacked Brown Snake. Who is he? What is he in BBoA for?" Regan: "A paycheck." Stubbs: "Very funny. True, but funny. Obviously got Taniko and her boys causing trouble too." As if she was waiting to hear her name, Taniko Jo enters the bar with a big smile on her face and she quickly heads over to the table where Bradley and Septimus are sitting. Taniko Jo: "Hey guys! Look what I found!" A rather large figure made his way inside and loomed over the table. The two men could only just stare for a few moment at what they are seeing. Regan: "That's a big boy."* Septimus Stubbs: "Oh christ...." *Not Big Daddy Horne, Sorry MHero
  22. Additional Signings The Anarchist Stubbs: I often forget this guy used to run around in ZEN. Not really one of the usual guys you would see there, but he worked for them at the start before leaving a few years into their existence. He does have thirteen years of experience under his belt and is only in his early thirties at this point too so we get a veteran who has a few years left in the tank. If he manages to find a spot with us in the long term remains to be seen. Janus Stubbs: The first of two men Taniko brought into the promotion. Janus is young and very green. I kind of like his old throwback style though admittedly. Nothing special and I am unsure his ceiling, but being with Taniko and working with guys like Trey are going to help him out at least. Much like Wesker he has a good look, but needs a lot of work. Maniac Monster Stubbs: It is nice to be surprised by things sometimes. Maniac Monster was brought in by Taniko and I wasn't sure what I was getting. The kid is young, but isn't a bad worker at all. Sure I can see where he needs to improve in some aspects, but it is rare I see a big bulky lad like him and get a good worker. I was thinking I was getting Son of Sulphur, but I was pleasantly surprised instead.
  23. Bad Boys of Australia: Breaking Out! Friday, Week 1, January 2020 39 Attending The first match was supposed to get under way, but as Brown Snake was coming out towards the ring he is attacked by a rather bulky man in black and white facepaint. He has an almost emotionless face as he destroys Brown Snake and leaves him to be checked on. It is soon announced Brown Snake cannot compete tonight and instead Nathan Rigger will face a different opponent. Rating: 21 Nathan Rigger vs Jesse Tasman There aren't many fans, but Jesse seems to instantly connect with them all. He just has a very natural charisma and just comes off as likeable. Nathan doesn't seem to like him though and attacks Jesse when he is trying to get into the ring. Both men show potential and pretty good skills given they are both still young. Nathan does a good bit of offense before Jesse starts to make his big babyface comeback and puts away Nathan with a Fireman's Carry Slam. Winner: Jesse Tasman Rating: 23 Trey Tallman vs Janus with Taniko Jo Taniko unveils the first of her new clients and to the credit of Trey Tallman, he doesn't back down and only seems mildly intimidated. Janus by no means seems to be that good of a worker and is kind of plodding, but Trey is good enough to make the match watchable and does well at selling the big man's offense. Janus picks up the win with a giant boot to the face. Winner: Janus Rating: 23 Adrian McGhee vs Lee Bawes Scrappy brawler that likes to cheat facing a man who wants to suplex everything. EVERYTHING. The two veteran workers are both on top of their game and deliver a great match that sees Adrian attempt to cheat his way into the next round only to underestimate Lee and get foiled at each turn. The final attempt at trying to get the win sees Adrian try to put what looks like a loaded glove on his hand only for Lee to catch him and deliver a German suplex. That is followed up by a Brainbuster which sees Lee pick up the win. Winner: Lee Bawes Rating: 39 Adrian McGhee is visibly annoyed and taking his sweet time when it comes to leaving. That leads to him bumping into Rob Edwards who is on the way to the ring for his match. McGhee doesn't look too happy and just gets a death glare from Rob. The two square up for a few moments before Adrian continues his way to the back. Rating: 23 Rob Edwards vs Maniac Monster with Taniko Jo As if Janus wasn't scary enough. Taniko's other client comes off as outright psychotic and this match quickly because a wild, hard hitting affair between the two men. Both men use stiff strikes and power moves to wear one another down and Rob gets a lot of credit for somehow standing toe to toe with the big monster. Rob actually looks like he might come out on top, but when the referee is distracted by Taniko Jo, Adrian McGhee slips into the ring and hits Rob with his loaded glove and quickly slips out of the ring. Maniac Monster drags Rob to his feet and nails his Death Thumb finisher for extra measure. Winner: Maniac Monster Rating: 35 Jonathan Wesker vs Hack the Hunter There is a severe drop in match quality for the main event. The two men may look like a million bucks, but their ring work needs a lot of improvement. Wesker in general has his cocky muscleman gimmick down, but he is clumsy in the ring. Hack is better, but is more a man that would fare better against a more seasoned opponent. During the match Taniko Jo comes out looking enamored with Hack and actually cheers him on a bit. It distracts hack to where he almost loses, but recovers long enough to finally take Wesker down with his Epic Side Suplex. Winner: Hack the Hunter Rating: 20 Hack barely gets time to celebrate before Taniko Jo comes into the ring with a big smile on her face. Taniko Jo: "You are such a big, strong boy. I like what I see and I want you to join me. Become one of my toys and I will get you the gold. I will even tell my other servants to stand down." Hack doesn't seem pleased and he doesn't even consider the offer. He just turns his back to Taniko and leaves the ring. Taniko looks angered and embarrassed at being spurned like that. Taniko Jo: "You'll regret that! JUST YOU WAIT!" Rating: 25 Final Rating: 24 Stubbs' Thoughts: I knew the main event was going to stink things up, but I was fine with it. This is a small time event and I am willing to experiment here and there. I just wanted the tournament to unfold a certain way and in the end this just ended up making the most sense to wrap things up. At least the audience got two solid matches in there that showcased we do have some talent even if many are unknown in the area. That lack of star power kind of hurt us too I gather. Adrian is the biggest name we have and he lost. Once again I got plans and I think we can build a good brand here with the crew I have. I wasn't sure what Taniko was bringing with her, but both worked out. Helps that they were both put against some of our better workers and thus Taniko's Toychest was born. More on those two men as well. All in all this came off better than some of the shows I have run. Lee and Adrian really had their working shoes on and props to Monster Maniac being a good worker himself. I was expecting something similar to Janus' performance, but he is a much more polished product than I expected with him and Rob putting on a really good match.

Taniko Jo is a very cunning lady who looks to try and have two chances to manage the first champion. Septimus Stubbs had already managed to secure a place to hold the first show as well as get a title made. Sure it isn't a pretty title, but it isn't like he is wanting to invest too much into the company just yet. If it looks like he can start attracting more fans then he can look at investing in nicer titles and other things. For now he is just probably going to get the small group of followers he has managed to get from running the first few shows in the area the past few years. If he can get near one hundred sometime in the next year he considers it a big enough win for him.</p><p> </p><p> He is working on story ideas at the bar he often frequents when he is disturbed by someone walking up and slapping a folder down on the table he was sitting at.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="rAp7RE5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rAp7RE5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Taniko Jo: "This is what I found."</p><p> </p><p> Stubbs: "Jesus, woman.
