FCW have been working on a tight budget and often break even most months, but with FCW premiering on WrestleWorld this month Puerto Rican Power thought a surprise was in order. Given Kip Keenan had just finished up his feud with Giant Brody he was a good choice to challenge for the belt. Ox Mastadon was also at one point, but ultimately it was decided to use Kip as it also allowed them to set up his next feud. It was also the last defense Pablo Rodriquez made as his next match saw him lose the COTT World Heavyweight title to Masked Cougar.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="jAsG8T5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/jAsG8T5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> One of the bigger surprises coming out of the show was the FCW People's Championship changing over. Xavi Ferrera was seemingly hitting his stride before the change so many believe it might be part of the plan to moving Xavi up into bigger role while giving a loyal veteran like Jesus Chavez a title reign. Jesus has been with FCW since day one and while his partners are the most decorated tag team in the company's short history the big man has only held gold once when he won the same title back in August of 2011 and held it until February 2012.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="PhlfCrW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PhlfCrW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Bull Wrecker was absent from this month's show due to the fact he was used as part of a deal to get The Wolf Pack in FCW to take on The Puerto Rican Boys. Handsome Stranger found it best to let the big man miss a show and stay healthy so he could show up at MAW's Super Showdown where he wrestled and lost to Harvey Robbinfield. Both Bull Wrecker and Rayne Man are top talents when it comes to FCW trying to made talent trades as they have the most name value outside of Puerto Rico due to their short stints in larger companies in their early careers.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="xHQSxZY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xHQSxZY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ek1so3X.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ek1so3X.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> American Standard are officially a team that will be seen on and off going forward. Composed of USAce and Wild Red Stallion it is felt that teaming up will help the two young workers as they gain experience and may one day be able to fill a hole when the likes of The Latino Kings or The Puerto Rican Boys either leave, retire, or split up. A few feel that Wild Red Stallion could also become a good singles star with a few more years of experience under his belt. The team is certainly an investment towards the future along with signings of younger talent like Doctor Tecnico.</p><p> </p><p> Overall both Puerto Rican Power as well as Handsome Stranger feel good about how the company is faring so far and for the most part have broke even or lost very little money. They were the least watched promotion on WrestleWorld this month, but it feels like in time they can draw more interest by maintaining a quality product that appeases to most wrestling fans.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="hVx5Izl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/hVx5Izl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>
  2. FCW Presents: FREEDOM Of The City Friday, Week 2, March 2020 San Juan Highschool: 287 Attending The show starts with Handsome Stranger and Rayne Man in the ring. Both seem all too pleased with themselves and given how the past few months have gone they have a good reason to be. The crowd showers them both with boos as the head of House Handsome and his right hand man speak. Handsome Stranger: "Show some respect to El Jefe! You are all witnessing a historic run and tonight I will continue to be your champion once I put away that thug of a man, Mutant. And while I do that..." Rayne Man: "I'll put Bradford Peverell in his place. These two have been bothering the boss for way too long and it is time to make them realize they cannot defeat House Handsome. Perhaps after this we'll take the titles from The Puerto Rican Boys too because no one can stop us." Handsome Stranger: "That's right. To-...." The champ goes silent and gets a more serious look as Rayne Man does much the same as they see who is coming down to the ring. The real El Jefe Puerto Rican Power enters the ring and stares down the two men. Handsome Stranger has a stare down for a moment before he looks to Rayne Man and gives a nod. The pair leave and PRP just stares the two down until they are well away from the ring. Afterwards he addresses the crowd. PRP: "I would just like to let everyone know that tonight we are being featured on WrestleWorld. Tonight people all across North America will see what they have been missing. Also, to celebrate this occasion with a special treat for you all. Tonight, the COTT World Champion is in the house and will defend his title in the main event. Tonight Pablo Rodriguez faces one of our best in Kip Keenan." He is all smiles as the crowd seems pleased by the announcement from the FCW owner who all thanks them and leaves the ring to let the show start off proper. Rating: 69 Bambino: "It's Lee Bambino with Cueball Lynch and what an announcement from the owner. Tonight we could have both the COTT Tag Team and World championships around the waist of FCW talents." Cueball: "Don't care. What I care about is what El Jefe was talking about. It is time to put Mutant and Bradford Peverell in their place and move on to even bigger, better things. I advocate for House Handsome to get all the COTT titles for themselves." Bambino: "I should have known that would be the response you would give. We got another action packed show ahead of us. One even more so with the new main event. It is time for us to get rolling, folks!" El Hijo Del Neutron vs Doctor Tecnico Two of FCW's newest face off in a hotly contested opener. Neutron has had some pretty good luck, but Tecnico's power and technical prowess prove to be quite the challenge. The pair both try to get momentum and for a good while it is Tecnico taking control and smothering Del Neutron and keeping him grounded. It takes Neutron to reach up and pull and tear at Tecnico's mask to give him an advantage. Neutron finally is able to get some momentum and defeat his larger opponent and pin him with a Neutron Bomb. Winner: El Hijo Del Neutron Rating: 42 (El Hijo Del Neutron: 45, Doctor Tecnico 28) Bambino: "Going for the mask is dirty if you ask me." Cueball: "If you don't want it messed with then don't wear it. Another good win for the kid. He is going places." Bambino: "El Hijo Del Neutron remains undefeated as Doctor Tecnico comes up short this week. I am sure he will bounce back." Kanishoki vs Davis Wayne Newton Davis Wayne Newton has a large problem in the form of the former sumo. What DWN has going for him is he is far more mobile and he uses his speed to strike and wear down Kanishoki by making the big man tire himself out trying to get ahold of the much faster DWN. The plan works for the most part, but DWN does get caught and tossed about a few times. Even so DWN manages to take down the bigger man and lock in the STF. Kanishoki starts to power out, but DWN manages to keep it locked in and the big man eventually taps. Winner: Davis Wayne Newton Rating: 44 (Davis Wayne Newton: 46, Kanishoki: 26) Bambino: "I have to admit that is an impressive win for Davis Wayne Newton. He has been doing well as of late." Cueball: "He seems to have more fire in him. The kid has talent, but something has been missing until recently. Maybe he wants to join House Handsome and is trying to impress them." Bambino: "I.....I hope that is not the case, but he would fit in with them." The Gonzales Family vs The Harlem Knights The match is more of a brawl between the two teams than anything. The Harlem Knights are looking to bounce back after their loss and are quick to cut Marco off from his uncle and work the younger of the two over. Marco takes a beating, but keeps fighting back and showing the fire his father often did before finally getting a tag to Carlos. The Gonzales Family take control for awhile, but a mistake on Carlos' part sees The Harlem Knights gain the advantage again. Carlos gets taken out with a big lariat that takes him out of the ring and while Marco tries to fight back valiantly he is overwhelmed and falls victim to the Powerbomb Neckbreaker delivered by The Harlem Knights. Winners: The Harlem Knights Rating: 36 (Harlem Haynes: 43, Curtis Shaw: 37, Carlos Gonzales: 41, Marco Gonzales: 22) Bambino: "The Harlem Knights playing it smart and going after Marco here. The kid has potential, but he needs a lot more time." Cueball: "Not a chip off the old block it would seem. I wonder how Shawn would feel." Bambino: "That is out of line and you know it. I am sure Shawn would be very proud of his son." Xavi Ferrera comes to the ring exuding confidence. Then again when you have someone like Juggernaut Jones at your side it is probably hard to feel anything but confident. The People's Champ gets in the ring with a microphone in hand and the big bruiser stands behind him with arms crossed. Xavi: "Jesus, you should have stayed at home resting up. There you were safe and you could have soon had your two friends join you. I am sure we can still set up a nice little hospital room for the three of you. You want to continue to toy with House Handsome? Very well, we'll put you right back where you belong, broken and beaten in a hospital bed." He laughs and the big man behind him smirks. Jones clambers out of the ring as Xavi waits for his opponent. Rating: 34 FCW People's Championship w Xavi Ferrera © with Juggernaut Jones vs Jesus Chavez The other Latino Kings are nowhere to be seen, but Jesus shows no fear. Xavi starts to talk smack to Jesus and gets his jaw jacked in response as the match begins. Jones tries to distract and get involved when he can, but David Poker is doing his best to keep an eye on him and make the fight fair as possible. It is more of a fight than a match with Xavi occasionally getting in a actual wrestling move at times. Poker eventually takes a bump when Xavi pulls him in the way of a charge from Jesus. This cues Jones to start getting into the ring, but Jesus recovers and starts to wail on Xavi and tosses him right into Jones which staggers the big man. Jesus follows it up with a big boot and then a lariat to send Jones tumbling out of the ring. Xavi staggers to his feet and turns right around into a 187 Neckbreaker from Jesus. The Latino King makes the cover as Poker recovers. New champion! Winner and NEW Champion: Jesus Chavez (2nd Reign) Rating: 44 (Jesus Chavez: 40, Xavi Ferrera: 38) The other Latino Kings dash to the ring as they hug Jesus and the three celebrate. Xavi looks on in disbelief as he staggers backwards away from the ring with Jones in tow. After months of beatdowns the Latino Kings finally get some payback. Rating: 37 Bambino: "He did it! For the first time in over eight years Jesus Chavez holds gold!" Cueball: "I can't believe it! This is a travesty, Bambino!" Bambino: "I feel it is just desserts. Xavi, Jones and Relentless have done so much to the Latino Kings it only seems right they finally start to reap what they sow." Cueball: "Where was Relentless?! They should be out her!" Bambino: "Preparing for a title match they might lose as well!" Ox Mastadon vs Tex Tagan The two big boys duke it out, but Ox is just larger and stronger. The fact he has dropped more weight recently shows he is a bit faster as well. Tex gets a few bouts of offense in, but for the most part Ox is in control and he tosses the Texan about for awhile then putting him away with a Ten Ton Splash. Winner: Ox Mastadon Rating: 38 (Ox Mastadon: 36, Tex Tagan: 32) Bambino: "Ox with a big win here. He still has Bull Wrecker in his sights, but the big man doesn't seem to be around." Cueball: "I am sure he has better things to do than deal with Ox." Bambino: "Or he is ducking the big man because he might realize he picked a fight he really doesn't want." Cueball: "Are you kidding me? Bull Wrecker is many things, but certainly not a coward." FCW Tag Team Championship Relentless © vs American Standard (USAce and Wild Red Stallion) The match debuts a team of USAce who has been around for a little over a year now with a new face in Wild Red Stallion. The duo looks promising, but they need a lot of polish. The champs do well to lead the other team and provide a good contest that allow the new team some bits of offense, but the champs start to go into overdrive and manage to take control for good. Eventually it is USAce that eats the pin after Ramone hits him with a Ricochet Senton. Winners and STILL Champions: Relentless (Defenses: 3) Rating: 42 (Rob Reynolds: 49, Ricochet Ramone: 40, USAce: 23, Wild Red Stallion: 16) Bambino: "Relentless carry on with another win and surprisingly without help from the other members of House Handsome." Cueball: "That is confidence, Bambino. They didn't need help and proved it." Bambino: "Or the other members are either licking their wounds or preparing for their own matches." Cueball: "You're always trying to stir up trouble!" COTT World Tag Team Championship The Puerto Rican Boys © vs The Wolf Pack Another tag match and this time for the COTT titles which see the Wolf Pack coming to Puerto Rico for the first time and trying to bring the titles back home to MAW. The cheers for the hometown heroes is overwhelming and they could do no wrong. The vocal fanbase might be enough to throw The Wolf Pack off their game too as they never really can get any sort of momentum aside for a short time when they have Kid San Juan cut off. That all changes when Island Boy Apollo gets back in and he starts to toss the two big men about. Eventually Sean Noggin gets isolated and then taken out with a Welcome to the Island. Winners and STILL Champions: The Puerto Rican Boys (Defense: 4) Rating: 42 (Island Boy Apollo: 59, Kid San Juan: 50, Sione Tokoeka: 24, Sean Nogging: 19) Bambino: "Another win for The Puerto Rican Boys. They are taking on all comers and aren't flinching." Cueball: "Okay, I guess I'll give them props. They haven't been dodging fights and all that." Bambino: "I am sure they will take that as a big compliment coming from you, Cueball." FCW Puerto Rican Championship Handsome Stranger © vs Mutant Not a bad match, but not near what perhaps the crowd was hoping for. Sadly the two just seem to have issues working with one another in a singles environment. Small things like timing issues just hurt the flow of the match at times and at times the two men almost look lost on where to go next. They still manage to get a good enough match in not to lose the crowd entirely, but for a big title match it falls a bit flat. Mutant looks so close to winning several times, but the champ manages to kick out. It just seems a matter of time that Mutant will finally take out El Jefe. Or not. Juggernaut Jones is back and looking to get in the ring which causes Ryan Holland's attention to shift there and try to keep the big man out. It allows Xavi to run in and clock Mutant with the Puerto Rican championship. It actually just staggers Mutant who turns to Xavi who possibly may have had an accident looking how scared he is. A second title shot comes from Handsome Stranger who uses it to finally knock Mutant down to a knee. A third shot finally knocks him out. The title is tossed to Xavi who flees and Jones finally jumps off the apron. A smug champion picks up another victory. Winner and STILL Champion: Handsome Stranger (Defenses: 8) Rating: 49 (Handsome Stranger: 44, Mutant: 42) Cueball: "Two out of three ain't bad I suppose. A shame Xavi was cheated out of his." Bambino: "Are you kidding me? He lost because his cheating attempt backfired! And now they cheated to win this one! What a travesty." Cueball: "Oh don't be so dramatic. You should know by now El Jefe always has a plan." Bambino: "Yeah, a plan to cheat." Cueball: "It works, don't it?" Bradford Peverell vs Rayne Man It seems there was a shifting in the matches to give the crowd a small breather between the two big title bouts. It certainly isn't because the writer made a mistake and put things out of order. How dare you all think that? It is a good bout though with both veterans showing what they can do and having an all in all great bout that somehow keeps the crowd interested after seeing three title matches in a row. It is also another rare occasion where no other members of House Handsome are to be seen. Of course it doesn't mean that it the match ends up ending in the most fair way. In this case Rayne Man is aware enough of his surroundings when he does a roll up on Peverell to where he can kick his feet up onto the middle ropes without David Poker seeing them. Bradford's bad luck continues as Rayne Man scores his first singles win in FCW. Winner: Rayne Man Rating: 55 (Bradford Peverell: 53, Rayne Man: 44) Bambino: "It never ends." Cueball: "Isn't it great? House Handsome had a bit of tough luck early on, but recovered. I am sure Xavi will get his title back soon enough." Bambino: "I feel more it started out great and just keeps going downhill, but at least we have a big one coming up. Kip Keenan gets a chance at the COTT World championship. This should be a good one." Cueball: "Do you think Pablo would join House Handsome?" Bambino: "Will you stop?" COTT World Heavyweight Championship Pablo Rodriguez vs Kip Keenan The final of five whopping title matches is a big one. The legendary Pablo Rodriguez takes on one of FCW's best in a big time, fast paced match. Pablo has the experience, but Kip isn't exactly an inexperienced rookie at this point and he goes hold for hold, move for move, etc, with the champ. A crowd might be getting a bit tired, but they are still drawn in by the match and cheer for Kip each time he starts to go on the offensive. With the previous few matches ending in some sort of hijinx it is a nice pallet cleanser that is just two great talents giving their all and in the end Pablo Rodriguez picks up the win and retains. Winner and STILL Champion: Pablo Rodriguez (Defenses: 6) Rating: 52 (Pablo Rodriguez: 53, Kip Keenan 60) Pablo leaves and Kip gets to his feet. He looks tired, but has a bit of a smile as the fans cheer him for his valiant effort. He waves to the crowd and looks ready to leave, but then.... Oh no. Davis Wayne Newton is giving a slow clap with a big smirk on his face as he walks towards the ring. Kip Keenan looks a bit confused, but also looks ready for a fight just in case. DWN stays out of the ring though and just asks for a microphone which he is soon handed. DWN: "Well if it isn't Kip freakin' Keenan, the pride of FCW." He gives a roll of his eyes and there is obvious sarcasm in his voice when he speaks and as he continues his tone gets more venomous. DWN: "I don't get it, Kip. I am better than you. Both of us know that as a fact. The fans can argue it. you can argue it, but deep down we know I am better. Yet where are my title opportunities? Where is the crowds adulation and love for ME?! I bleed and sweat as much as everyone else and what do I get? A damned match with a Samoan joke while you get to face Pablo Rodriguez! I'm tired, Kip. I'm so damn tired of people like you. The ones that people adore and think are the best thing around." He glares daggers at Kip who is honestly confused as well as frustrated. He seems to just be motioning for DWN to get in the ring if he wants a fight, but DWN stays where he is. DWN: "No, Kip. I will fight you when I am ready. Right now you are tired and would have an excuse when I beat you. But I will tell you this right now. I will make your life hell. And you know what? I have a friend that knows a little about hell to help me out." DWN just points as if to make Kip turn around. He does indeed do that to see.... OH NO! Hell's Bouncer grabs a surprised Kip and quickly nails him with Damnation Drop before he can even try to do anything. Only then with Kip laid own does DWN get in the ring and stand over the fallen Kip Keenan as he just grins and pats his new 'friend' on the back. Rating: 50 Bambino: "What the hell is this?" Cueball: "Amazing is what this is! Davis Wayne Newton has finally grown a pair and is about to show us what he can do." Bambino: "Davis Wayne Newton just made a statement and he made a deal with the devil himself if he has Hell's Bouncer on his side." Cueball: "Sometimes you got to go through hell to get to heaven, Bambino." Bambino: "We are out of time. We will try to figure out all this by next month, folks." Final Rating: 53 WrestleWorld Viewers: 4,246
  3. March 2020: Leading up to the Show As mentioned earlier FCW was intrigued by WrestleWorld which officially launched at the start of the month. It did not take long for FCW to be announced shortly after as the first company to strike up a deal with the new subscription service. Man companies followed and while FCW was the first company to sign they were not the first company to be featured on WrestleWorld as IPW's TripleMania 6 was the first show to be broadcast. FCW's FREEDOM Of The City instead will be the second featured show. Speaking of IPW's TripleMania 6, The Puerto Rican Boys made their presence known in the company for the second month in a row. This time instead of facing off against one another in a trios match the pair teamed up and defended their COTT tag team titles against The Mexican Hardcore Killers in a tables match. The champs retained which means they will officially start their gauntlet of matches against opponents from other promotions in the alliance. It has been confirmed their upcoming opponents are The Wolf Pack from MAW.
  4. February Report Upper management were pleased with the overall result of Fight For FREEDOM XIII and considered it a momentum builder. Most matches delivered to expectations even if the tables match perhaps went on a bit too long and lost some momentum there at the end. Overall it was still a respectable showing where all titles were retained and The Puerto Rican Boys are set to start facing off against teams from other COTT companies. Right now the report MAW is probably going to be the first company to send representatives and it is unknown if The Puerto Rican Boys will have any matches between Fight For FREEDOM XIII and FREEDOM Of The City. It seems rumors have been swirling on how certain wrestlers feel about other performers in the company. Mutant has become a surprise hit in FCW over the years for his character work and offbeat charisma, but it is hard to say if he has a lot of sway when having management listen to him. It is being said apparently he was talking to Handsome Stranger that a few House Handsome member has little upside. The wrestler in question that was being talked about appears to be Ricochet Ramone. Given Ramone is currently part of the companies biggest heel stable it is believed Handsome Stranger has a different opinion and Mutant's words were taken with a grain of salt. On the other hand Bradford Peverell who is a well respected veteran in FCW had a more positive opinion of one of his fellow wrestlers. It was being said after watching the People's Championship match that Bradford was telling everyone that Joffy Laine is going to make a lot of money one day and FCW should strap a rocket to him while they have time. It is been said many in the company are high on Joffy and their main hesitation on giving him a big run is they are expecting a company such as SWF, TCW or USPW to sign him as soon as they try and pull the trigger. With the support of someone like Bradford Peverell on his side things may change. The tables match between Giant Brody and Kip Keenan was a bit of a rushed ending to a feud between the pair. Giant Brody is about to be busy with several dates with Black Canvas Grappling and with uncertainty on his availability over the coming months they feel Kip is better off moving onto something else. Brody is popular in FCW, but his time in Japan over the years have made booking him increasingly difficult. Many feel that is why the big man hasn't held any titles since seven month run as Puerto Rican champion back in 2017. Where he goes from here is unknown as it seems no major plans are in the works as of yet. When Handsome Stranger was talking to the locker room at the start of the year about taking care of their bodies it seems several men took it to heart. King Kong Kennedy and Kanishoki both have been working on losing some weight and it is already showing. They are still on the heavy side, but any sort of weight loss in their case has to be helpful. What was perhaps more surprising is Hector Galindo seemed to be motivated by the talk and seems to be sporting a more toned physique for the first time in his career. Many have felt Galindo's skinny stature always has hindered him. While still on the smaller side, the muscle tone at least helps his appearance out. The other surprise is Bull Wrecker who looks to have been seriously hitting the gym. Already an in shape individual a photo has surfaced in late February showing Bull Wrecker post workout posing and showing off a more ripped physique. Bull Wrecker is known to be a favorite Handsome Stranger so some feel this is an effort to show that Bull Wrecker is ready for bigger, better things. With March fast approaching the launch of WrestleWorld is close to happening. With the attempt to get more eyes on their product it is no surprise FCW is looking into what has to be done to be involved with having their shows on the subscription service. The company expects they may be losing money in doing so, but feel the chance to gain more attention in both the United States and Canada is worth the risk. They are hoping to have a deal worked out in time for FREEDOM Of The City.
  5. FCW Presents: The Fight For Freedom XIII Friday, Week 2, February 2020 San Juan Highschool: 291 Attending Bambino: "Lee Bambino here again with Cueball Lynch. After so many surprises last month I can only expect we see more." Cueball: "It was great to see Handsome Stranger continue his historic run." Bambino: "Yes, the champion retained once again do a new 'surprise' of his own in Rayne Man." Cueball: "You have to admit it is brilliant of El Jefe to come up with that. Make everyone think House Handsome is getting weaker only to get stronger again." Bambino: "I don't have to hear it from you. Looks like the champ is going to brag some himself along with his new friend." El Jefe is here with his new second in command. The two are all smiles and seem to be enjoying the chorus of boos being showered upon them. The champ grabs a microphone as he gets in the ring with Rayne doing the same. Handsome Stranger: "Sometimes it hurts being so smart. Every time they try to tear down my house I show I am a man with the plan. You make it to where Fredrique had to leave? Well then I find someone else who is more than capable to replace him. And tonight? We teach Bradford Peverell and that big lummox of a man, Mutant, another lesson." Rayne: "It was an honor to be offered to be part of something so big. A great group of champions putting all the lesser men in place. I couldn't say no and tonight I'll show why I was brought in. Tonight will be no different than usual. House Handsome will once again show why we rule this place." Handsome Stranger: "We hold all the belts for the reason. The rest of the boys are in back preparing. It doesn't matter if you are Mutant, Bradford Peverell, Kip Keenan or the Latino Kings. None of you have the power to stop us." The pair are all smiles again and hug as fans boo loudly again. The smug pair saunter their way back out of the ring and to the back. Rating: 58 Cueball: "I love it." Bambino: "We'll see if they are still so confident after the main event tonight." Cueball: "They have this in the bag. Of course they will still be confident." Bambino: "It's time for our first match of the night and it looks like the Doctor is in." Doctor Tecnico vs Tex Tagan The opening bout is very much has an old school feel to it. Both are big tough guys that aren't exactly big on finesse. A lot of big strikes and power moves between the two as they both seem evenly matched. It is Tecnico that starts to gain an advantage later in the match and delivers some big suplex variations to soften Tex up and finally putting away the rough and tumble cowboy with a Gordbuster. Winner: Doctor Tecnico Rating: 38 (Doctor Tecnico: 27, Tex Tagan: 39) Bambino: "After an impressive debut last month it is Doctor Tecnico picking up his first win here in FCW." Cueball: "Still don't know what to think of this guy. He has some impressive moves, but his personality just rubs me the wrong way." Bambino: "Because he isn't a smug jerk?" Cueball: "That must be it." Hell's Bouncer vs Kanishoki Another hard hitting bout with two of the bigger men on the roster beating on one another. That being said Hell's Bouncer is in much better shape and much more mobile than his opponent. Not that he needs to be much of the latter as he seems to shrug off most of the hits Kanishoki delivers before starting to punish the Samoan. It is a rather short match with Hell's Bouncer in control almost all of it then using his impressive strength to deliver the Damnation Drop and pick up the win. Winner: Hell's Bouncer Rating: 44 (Hell's Bouncer: 49, Kanishoki: 26) Bambino: "I have seen Hell's Bouncer for many years and I always remain in awe every time I see him." Cueball: "A complete monster and a former two time champion." Bambino: "And I feel he could have a third if he focused on House Handsome." Cueball: "Don't say such stupid things, Bambino." FCW Tag Team Championship Relentless © vs The Latino Kings The pace quickens up with these two teams facing off. The Latino Kings are hot and go right at the champs early on and gaining the advantage and Relentless have to bail to the outside to recover. The match slows a bit after the champs recover and it is a good amount of back and forth before a missed dive from Hector Galindo allow the champs to capitalize on the mistake and work over Galindo for some time. Finally Hector manages to fight back long enough to roll under a roundhouse from Rob Reynolds and he tags in Rudy. Rudy goes to town on the pair as he gives Hector time to recover. Things are looking pretty good for the challengers until... Trouble trouble trouble It is soon after Rudy tags in Hector as they prepare to put away Ricochet Ramone when Xavi Ferrera appears and makes a distraction. Rudy goes after Xavi to make sure he doesn't interfere but it distracts the referee as well. It allows Juggernaut Jones to push Hector right off the top turnbuckle where he crashes and burns to the outside. Jones tosses him back inside quickly as Reynolds tags himself in. Hector is nailed with the Real Deal Rocker and Rob quickly gets the pin as the referee turns about right in time to see it. Xavi grabs Rudy to make sure he can't interrupt the count as well Winners and STILL Champions: Relentless (Defenses: 2) Rating: 45 (Rob Reynolds: 46, Ricochet Ramone: 36, Rudy Velasquez: 51, Hector Galindo: 50) House Handsome continue their assault on the Latino Kings who try to fight back, but are greatly outnumbered at this point. Then.... Big mad lad Jesus Chavez makes his return to the delight of the crowd and he starts to take out the members of House Handsome. He manages to throw out Xavi, Rob and Ramone before he and Juggernaut Jones are facing off. The rest of House Handsome start to get back in, but Hector and Rudy have recovered enough they manage to clear the ring. The last member being thrown out being Juggernaut Jones who is send stumbling out of the ring after a big boot from Jesus and double dropkicks from Rudy and Hector. The Latino Kings stand tall in the middle of the ring as House Handsome decide to retreat. Rating: 33 Bambino: "Jesus Chavez is back and the timing couldn't have been any better." Cueball: "No way he can be one hundred percent. Not after what House Handsome did to him." Bambino: "That remains to be seen, but for now The Latino Kings are back at full strength and this battle is far from over." Cobra vs El Hijo Del Neutron El Hijo Del Neutron hopes to continue to build on his initial victory, but standing in his way this time is a much more experienced opponent in Cobra. Neutron is up to the challenge though as the pair clash and he finds Cobra quite the handful at the start. Of course he is fine with finding more underhanded ways to gain the advantage like faking like he was going after Cobra's snake and at one point using an eye rake to gain an advantage. Cobra proved to be tougher than Marco, but the result soon becomes the same. After a bit of softening up the masked man defeats Cobra with a Neutron Bomb. Winner: El Hijo Del Neutron Rating: 49 (El Hijo Del Neutron: 46, Cobra: 42) Bambino: "It took some questionable tactics, but El Hijo Del Neutron picks up another win." Cueball: "I like this guy. I think he has a bright future ahead of him. I think House Handsome should bring him in." Bambino: "I shudder to think of him joining their ranks. House Handsome is a big enough problem as is." COTT World Tag Team Championship The Puerto Rican Boys © vs The Harlem Knights This match starts off with Harlem Knights jumping the champs and quickly isolating Kid San Juan. The two big brawlers throw him around with ease and try to get a quick win. San Juan is scrappy though and he manages to kick out even after being hit with some big moves. It just takes one mistake for Kid San Juan to slip free and bring in Island Boy Apollo who is more than ready to brawl with the two Knights. The match goes back and forth for awhile with no real team gaining an advantage. It is finally Island Boy Apollo who gets momentum for his team as he impressively uses his strength to heft Harlem Haynes and toss him right into Curtis Shaw. Haynes is down and out for a moment and Curtis Shaw recovers just in time to get caught with a Welcome to the Island from the champs. Kid San Juan gets the pin and the champs retain. Winners and STILL Champions: The Puerto Rican Boys (Defenses: 2) Rating: 49 (Island Boy Apollo: 57, Kid San Juan: 51, Harlem Haynes: 47, Curtis Shaw: 37) While the champs celebrate their win Puerto Rican Power makes his way to the ring. He is all smiles as he gives each man a high five before asking for a mic. Once with mic in hand he turns to address the champs. PRP: "Boys, I am so proud of you, but I also don't want you all to be complacent. I know you both are up to the task so I have a challenge if you are both up for it." The pair look at one another and are quick to say yes which only makes the owner of FCW smile wider. PRP: "That is why I picked you both to represent FCW. For as long as you hold the titles I will be bringing in teams from the rest of the alliance to face you. I am not going to be holding back and will be asking for some of the toughest guys each company has to offer. Get some rest tonight, you earned it. I hope to see you with those titles next month and are prepared for your first challenge." Puerto Rican Power shakes hands with both men as if to seal the deal and the trio leave the ring together. Rating: 54 Bambino: "Well that sounds exciting. A gauntlet of sorts from the sounds of it! Not to mention that means seeing some new faces here in FCW." Cueball: "Mark my words. This is going to blow up in Power's face. Come next month watch the boys not even have the titles and he'll have egg on his face." Bambino: "There is a chance of that. There are a lot of shows between now and next month. I am hoping they make it. I want to see who the boss brings in to face off with The Puerto Rican Boys." FCW People's Championship /w Xavi Ferrera © with Juggernaut Jones vs Joffy Laine vs Davis Wayne Newton A nice triple threat match featuring some of the best workers in FCW. A good mix of styles as the three men start to feel one another out and think of a plan. Of course for both challengers they have to be wary of the large Juggernaut Jones who is outside. For good reason too because through the match he isn't shy about grabbing at a foot if they get too close. It is a hotly contested match though with all three men getting their time to shine and while Xavi is a step behind the other two he still puts on a respectable performance. At one point Davis Wayne Newton is tossed from the ring and Xavi sets up a downed Joffy for a High Impact Frog Splash. DWN looks to get back in, but thinks better of it when Jones steps in his way. DWN backs down thinking better of it while Xavi nails the frog splash and picks up a win. Winner and STILL Champion: Xavi Ferrera (Defenses: 3) Rating: 53 (Xavi Ferrera: 39, Joffy Laine: 52, Davis Wayne Newton: 52) Cueball: "Another big win for Xavi. The kid is going to go far. I can see his reign with that title to rival the one Handsome Stranger is having now." Bambino: "I guess we-What the hell!?" Chaos erupts as an unexpected fight ends up spilling out from the back. Ox Mastadon and Bull Wrecker are all over one another as they start to fight into the crowd and several other wrestlers along with company security rush to try to break up the first before the two behemoths manage to injure someone. It takes a lot of manpower to do just that, but eventually the two are separated and dragged to the back without too much damage being done. Rating: 42 Bambino: "Those two really have been at one another's throats for some time. There has to be an end to that rivalry in the future." Cueball: "That dumb Ox could have hurt someone. I bet he jumped Bull Wrecker from behind too to start this whole thing." Bambino: "I doubt that. Both men just don't like one another and probably crossed paths in back and fists started to fly. And speaking of rivalries coming to an end. We got one possible getting a conclusion as Kip Keenan and Giant Brody look to finally show who is the better man." Tables Match Giant Brody vs Kip Keenan The match starts off quickly and the two men quickly go after one another. Brody uses his strength and size advantage early to try wear down Kip and make it easier to throw him through one of the tables set up around the ring. Each time he tries to do so though Kip finds a way to escape and start to fight back. A lot of close calls for both men with Kip really showing some extra fire to keep competitive with his larger foe. The fact he manages to drag the match out longer and longer works to his advantage. Brody growing tired as the minutes go by and he seems more determined to finish off Kip quickly. It leads to mistakes and Kip capitalizes. The two are on ring apron near the end when Kip manages to get his arms about Brody to lift him up. He turns and jumps to the outside where one of the tables rests and drives the big man through the table with a quasi spinebuster. Both men are spent and not really moving as the bell rings and Kip is declared the winner. Winner: Kip Keenan Rating: 48 (Kip Keenan: 46, Giant Brody: 41) Cueball: "How in the hell!? I mean really!" Bambino: "Both men gave it their all and somehow Kip Keenan came out on top this night." Cueball: "This shouldn't happen. If I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it." Bambino: "Kip is finally recovering and Brody is still down. This one took a lot out of both men. I wonder were they go from here. It is now time for the main event!" Cueball: "Come on, House Handsome. Lets end this on a high note!" House Handsome vs Bradford Peverell and Mutant House Handsome seem a bit overmatched at least at the start. At least whenever Mutant gets in the ring they are quick to get out of his way and try to draw out the match more. Finally Mutant gets ahold of Rayne Man at one point and starts to toss him about to the crowds delight. Bradford and Mutant are dominating early on and House Handsome is constantly on the defensive and trying to find an opening. These mooks again House Handsome get some reinforcements in the form of Xavi Ferrera and Juggernaut Jones who help distract Bradford and Mutant and allow House Handsome to finally take advantage of things. There is just too much for the referee to keep track of though and as the match progresses the attempts at interference only grow. Rayne Man finally distracts Ryan Holland enough that Jones pulls Mutant off the apron and the two big men go at it. Xavi quickly gets in and uses his People's championship to smack Bradford Peverell from behind with Ryan's back to the commotion. Handsome Stranger hits the Catalan Twist just to be sure and goes for the pin. Rayne points it out to Ryan who quickly turns about to count the pin while Mutant is still brawling outside with Jones. Winners: House Handsome Rating: 57 (Handsome Stranger: 48, Rayne Man: 48, Mutant: 54, Bradford Peverell: 55) Bambino: "Not again!" Cueball: "Hah! House Handsome proves to be too smart once again." Bambino: "Too smart? It was blatant cheating and you know it." Cueball: "And they didn't get caught. That is called being smart, Bambino." Bambino: "Something has to give. Another night House Handsome finds a way to win. Here is hoping things start to change soon. That is all for tonight. We'll see you next month at FREEDOM of the City." Final Rating: 55
  6. Oh god who let you in And also as an edit. With work being crazy I am going to attempt to post shows on the weekend and use t he weekdays to do posts to build up to them. Card is subject to change of course.
  7. In September of 2007 Freedom Carribean Wrestling held their first show. A company founded by national star Puerto Rican Power along with Shawn Gonzales, the company was created to give the people of Puerto Rico a local company to watch as well as give a place for Shawn's trainees a place to learn their craft. It is an organization that has always been a solid mix of veterans and young talent that would go on to bigger, better things. Their product has always had a very old school feel of big fights that could get bloody, but also had showmanship which worked perfect for their fanbase on the small island. The company has also gotten over two big hurtles that may have caused lesser companies to shut down. The first was the tragic loss of Shawn Gonzales that caused a change in leadership and affected not only FCW, but the nation as a whole. The company kept pushing on until 2017 when Puerto Rican Power suffered a heart attack that effectively retired him and put the future of the promotion in doubt. Power recovered and still runs day to day operations with current booker Mikel Jiminez who is better known as Handsome Stranger. For Almost Thirteen years FCW has continued on and while popular in Puerto Rico they aren't so well known outside of it. 2020 has become a year where FCW has decided to show they might be the best kept secret in North America with simple, yet quality angles and matches that can appease most wrestling fans. It is less a push to become a large company that faces off with the big boys, but to finally gain more exposure in the USA and possible to Mexico and Canada. The struggle is dealing with said expansion while working with a decent, but not overly large budget while finding the stars of tomorrow to replace the current stars that are certainly going to move onto bigger, better things. It is said Puerto Rican Power and Handsome Stranger both have been working on ways to get more eyes on the company and keep FCW operating while also being profitable for the foreseeable future. Only time will tell if their dream will come true, or they will meet the fate so many companies have met over the years when trying to grow larger and find themselves having to close their doors.

Who do you think we should challenge E first?"</p><p> </p><p> Sky King: "I have some plans that I am working on. Just let give me some time to get the right guy."</p><p> </p><p> That response gave me a pause. Really given how things were going I was assuming we would be giving someone like Cal the spot since he has been undefeated or Reilly due to his win over E not long ago.</p><p> </p><p> "You are bringing in someone new?"</p><p> </p><p> Sky King: "I am looking at some international stuff. E is willing to work with just about anyone so that has been a blessing, but is anyone willing to come all the way out to Canada to challenge him? In the end the place is being run on his dime so if he wants to take risks like this who am I to argue? 9. All Action Wrestling: Taking Flight 3 Bonnie Doon Public Library in Alberta Attendance: 67 Much like last month the show is starting off with The Reckoning in the ring with Sky King flanked by Evil Spirit and Brimstone along with a microphone in his hand. Sky King: "I'll keep this short and sweet. Last month I took care of business while Phenomenal E couldn't. I think it just goes to show who is going to be walking out champion tonight. We are going to run this place and we are going to prove it right now." Sky King tosses the mic away and seems to murmur some words to Brimstone before he and Evil Spirit get out of the ring as Brimstone prepares for his match. Rating: 19 Brimstone vs G Force A quick and frantic paced bout between the two. Given their lack of skills it is probably the best way to present the two as they mostly distract with some of their flashier moves. The match is a bit on the one sided side with Brimstone controlling most of it and for the first time it seems G Force manages to avoid the injury bug as he finishes the match without looking to be favoring any sort of body part. The down side is he is on the losing end once again as Brimstone hits the Ashes to Ashes and picks up a victory. Winner: Brimstone Rating: 33 Flying Patriot vs TJ Bailey This match is pretty once sided much like the previous with TJ Bailey using his experience to keep control aside from a few surprise moves from the youthful masked Flying Patriot. The rookie still shows flashes of promise, but he still needs a lot of polish. TJ picks up the win rather quickly after putting Flying Patriot away with TJ Time. Winner: TJ Bailey Rating: 32 Clutch McKane vs Arthur Dexter Bradley vs Mosher vs Reilly Patton Things pick up with a four way bout that allows all the competitors to showcase what they can do. Overall ADB steals the show in this one pulling off some really nice moves that gets the crowded pulled into the match and he comes close to picking up an upset a few times. Mosher also gets rolling at one point using his frenetic brawling to gain momentum and he catches ADB to take him down and hit the Headbanger. Before he can go for the pin Reilly is quick to slide into the ring and toss Mosher from the ring and he gets t he pin on ADB instead. Winner: Reilly Patton Rating: 46 The smarmy Reilly is running laps again and he is out of breath by the time he gets a microphone to gloat. Reilly: "Two in a row, baby! I should be in the main event! Just keep watching because I am unbeatable! Ahahahaha!" Rating: 19 Shiva vs Cal Sanders A more slow paced encounter with Shiva using his brutal strikes goes up against the technical prowess of Cal Sanders. A good mixture of drama that sees each side getting momentum and showing their offenses that are different, but yet mesh well together putting on the best match of the night so far. Cal takes a beating through a good portion at one point making it look like he was done for, but the veteran seems to find a second wind and fight back against Shiva. Shiva continues to try to throw out some stiff strikes, but Cal finds ways to counter them and eventually gets a enzuigiri that puts Shiva down long enough to give Cal time to climb up top and nail the Frog Splash. Winner: Cal Sanders Rating: 56 AAW All Action Canadian Championship Sky King vs Phenomenal E It wasn't easy, but this match tops the previous one as the two veterans bring out the big guns for the title match. Both men are experts at pacing with shifting momentum and several close pinfalls from both men. E often is distracted looking to see if Brimstone or Evil Spirit show their face, but neither show up. It is enough to often allow Sky King to take control and he comes so very close to winning the bout only for Phenomenal E kicking out at the last moment. Frustration is building and it makes Sky King more prone to make mistakes he may not normally make. It gives Phenomenal E the chance to fight back and get rolling and sending Sky King reeling. Sky King does his best to quash the comeback, but can't do it. He is battered and laid out eventually which allows Phenomenal E to hit the Tumbleweed Legdrop. AAW gets their first champion one three count later. Winner and NEW Champion: Phenomenal E Rating: 62 Final Rating: 52 Top Performers: 1st: Phenomenal E, 2nd: Cal Sanders, 3rd: Shiva
  10. I let a day or two pass before telling Shep about what happened with Shiva. After some discussion we decided to keep him on a short leash and see what happens. Hopefully keeping him around won't cause too much trouble and it was agreed we would keep Garfield far away from Shiva to be extra safe too. I hate it has to be this way because I feel Shiva could offer a lot to some of the younger guys here, but he apparently has no interesting. Much unlike Phenomenal E who has been helpful in many ways. He gives the young guys tips and helps out me and Shep with road agent duties as well. I am a bit unsure him deciding to put Reilly over when he is going to be in a title match was the best of ideas, but if he is willing to try and get someone over I really can't say no. Shep continues to plan on bringing a few other faces in. More interestingly he is looking much further than North America and trying to find new names that might be willing to make a move in an attempt to kick start their career. He hasn't given me any names yet, but I am more busy working out matches for the next show anyways. Shep is funding this whole thing so him wanting to do the hiring is fine by me. I am hoping we can keep up with what we have been doing, but that confrontation with Shiva was a reminder things aren't always going to be easy and I'll have to learn to deal with such matters better if and when it happens again.
  11. "Well just keep an eye on it and don't put much strain on it. Glad it isn't too bad." Stepping out from a room where G Force was being looked at with a sigh I feel we dodged another bullet. Another show and another small injury for him. A strained wrist isn't a huge deal, but at the same time these small injuries might add up eventually. He was able to finish the match once again at least and come next month if we choose to use him he should be fine. ???: "We need to talk." "Oh, hey. What is it? I was just talking to Garfield to make sure he was fine." Shiva: "Just who I wanted to talk about. The guy is dangerous and injury prone. I don't see any real upside. Just get rid of him before he hurts someone else." He never was one to mince words. Shiva was known to be very blunt on what he thought of people back in his 4C days and it looks like he does. I may not like it, but at least he is very straight forward when he feels something needs to be said. "I think it is a bit too early to really start looking at getting rid of someone. He has had two small injuries and nothing more. Besides, I don't have the final say on that sort of thing." Shiva: "What happens when he has a bigger injury? Or if he injures someone else? Keep him around, but if you put him in the ring with me you won't like the results." "Now that is a bit too far. You could have just requested it and I would have been fine with it. Threats like that are not needed here." Shiva: "Think of it more of a promise than a threat." It takes a lot to get me mad, but I could feel my hands balling up into fists at this point. Shiva can be abrasive, but I didn't expect him to go this far. Threatening the health of someone else just because he has a set opinion about him isn't right. I was trying to think of my words carefully because if this escalated I figured fists might fly and I know all too well this is a fight I couldn't win if that happened. ???: "Problem fellas?" The timing couldn't have been better. Seeing E and Clarence standing there seemed to make Shiva back down. A fight with me he knew he could handle, but three men was a bit much. Shiva: "Not at all. I was just leaving. Just remember what I said." Shiva wandered off with that being said and I let out another sigh as E and Clarence came over to check on me. Things have been going so well and to suddenly have a confrontation like that has me on edge. Can I trust Shiva to be safe in the ring with people? He made it known he doesn't like G Force, but what about other people? He has been professional in the ring so far, but now the idea of putting him in the ring with some of the newer guys worries me. This is something I will have to talk to Shep about this.
  12. All Action Wrestling: Taking Flight 2 Bonnie Doon Public Library in Alberta Attendance: 66 The show starts out with Sky King on the way to his ring with Brimstone and Evil Spirit flanking him. The trio enter the ring and Sky King asks for a mic to speak. Sky King: "Last month we made our presence known for a reason. We want to put everyone else in AAW on notice. We are going to be the dominant force and we were being generous in letting Phenomenal E know who is in charge here. E has been off playing Japan when I have been busting my ass all through Canada. I am going to make him wish he never left the East. Tonight the boys here will take care of business first then later tonight I will be sure to take my place in the title match. E, you better rest up. You're going to need it. Tonight there will be a Reckoning." Rating: 18 The Reckoning vs Patriotic Fury A messy affair, but it was quick paced and had some exciting spots to help make up for the bit that Drop Kix was a bit off his game and Flying Patriot is still on the green side. Brimstone and Evil Spirit control the majority of the match with Patriotic Fury getting sprinkles of offense in. Eventually Brimstone takes out Flying Patriot with his Ashes to Ashes finisher and Drop Kix is cut off by Evil Spirit giving The Reckoning the win. Winners: The Reckoning Rating: 35 G Force vs Cal Sanders Slight less messy than the last match mostly because of Cal's experience combined with the fact that both Cal and G Force seem to work pretty well together. If anything the matches loses something because part way through G Force seems to hurt one of his wrists and it seems to cause the two to rush things a bit to the end. G Force got a few good moves off, but Cal shows to be a shrewd veteran that takes his time and eventually downs G Force and finishes him off with a Frog Splash. Winner: Cal Sanders Rating: 35 Mosher vs Shiva Things really pick up on this match with the two 4C veterans clashing in a more wild brawl that involves more striking and hard hits. A bit back and forth with Mosher looking to keep his momentum going while Shiva is doing his best to bounce back from the loss he suffered to Phenomenal E. The action spills to the outside for a bit too, but Garcia lets the match continue when he could have counted the pair out. Shiva in the end does get the upper hand over a tiring Mosher and puts him away with a big Executioner's Axe Kick. Winner: Shiva Rating: 50 Phenomenal E comes out looking focused and in a serious mindset. He gets himself a microphone and enters the ring to address the crowd. Phenomenal E: "So there is a reckoning coming and I am in the eye of the storm? Look, Sky King, I respect you and what you have done. We both have been doing this a long time, but I am not intimidated by you and your two masked buddies either. That wasn't the first time my ass got kicked and won't be the last. Tonight I want to say 'May the best man win', but deep down I won't lie. I want you to win. I want to see you next month and when I win that makes things all the more sw-" ???: "Blah, blah, blah!" Who's this douche canoe? Oh hey kids, it's Reilly Patton. The new arrival gets in the ring and looks all too smug as he looks over Phenomenal E and gives an eyeroll. He also seems to have a mic of his own. Reilly Patton: "No one cares! You and Sky King shouldn't even be here! You two are so old and broken down it is a joke people like you two are getting chances at the title when real wrestlers like myself are being held down. How about this. How about you get out of the ring because I have a match and show people what REAL entertainment is?" The smugness does not seem to amuse Phenomenal E and he looks like he isn't listening to Reilly either as he stands in the ring. Phenomenal E: "Damn right you got a match tonight. Don't care who it is against, but right now it is against me. Get the ref in here." There is a moment of uncertainty, but Clarence Garcia does run into the back for a moment before coming back out a few moments later and giving the go ahead for the match to go on. It looks like Clutch McKane has allowed himself to be replaced. There is a moment where Reilly looks worried, but he quickly recovers and does his best to look confident. He perhaps didn't think of this sort of result. Rating: 27 Reilly Patton vs Phenomenal E Reilly finds he may be in over his head early on and E looks like he is going to have a rather easy win as he beats the younger wrestler about. It is hard to say if Reilly was holding back or not, but when it seems like the match would be a quick one he starts to get some offense in. Sure that is is because he isn't above cheating, but it is effective and he is good enough to make it to where Garcia never fully catches him. It soon turns into a much more competitive match as the pair start to bounce between who is on offense and Reilly does well to quash E's momentum a few times through his underhanded tactics. The problem is perhaps he gets too smug about it all. He is doing well, but he starts to show off and him easing up on E from time to time just gives the veteran a chance to make his comeback. E once again is taking control and Reilly is on the ropes. While this match continues Sky King does slip out to sit in the crowd. He makes not effort to get involved just yet at least, but it is enough to break E's concentration. Eventually E looks ready to put Reilly down for good when Sky King gets to his feet. It is a split second that makes E tense up and Reilly has his wits about him enough to quickly pull Phenomenal E into a cradle and gets the surprise pin. A smiling Sky King settles back down and watches on in amusement as Reilly is running victory laps around the ring saying he is the greatest. Winner: Reilly Patton Rating: 60 Sky King vs TJ Bailey Two veterans square off in another good bout, but having a hard time following up the last one. Both men put in a good effort in a competitive bout that also surprisingly doesn't involve any interference from Evil Spirit or Brimstone. It could be Sky King being confident and it seems he was right in this case because while TJ does do well he eventually is taken down by Sky King who does a big senton off the top to put TJ away. Sky King stands tall looking confident as he will face Phenomenal E next month for the All Action Championship. Winner: Sky King Rating: 50 Final Rating: 50 Top Performers: 1st: Phenomenal E, 2nd: Shiva, 3rd: TJ Bailey
  13. You doing great GSW content keeps me from the urge to do some GSW action myself.
  14. Time just seems to fly. Weeks went by quickly and it was the afternoon before the show. People had been arriving and getting ready. Those of us that arrived first already got the ring set up and things prepped. It was about an hour before we would start to greet the fans when I was caught a bit off guard by a tap on the shoulder. Phenomenal E: "Hey, you have a moment?" "Of course, Ed, what's up?" Phenomenal E: "Reilly, you got him tonight, right? I got a favor to ask." A favor. I admit I was curious because honestly I wasn't sure what Ed was going to ask for. Given he has been a big help so far I would find it hard to say no to him. "I don't see why not. What is it?" Phenomenal E: "I got promo time and the kid was going to get some too, right?" "Right? I think yours is after his and after his promo he and I were going to have a match." Phenomenal E: "Okay, can we do a change of plans? Have him interrupt me and give me fifteen to twenty in the ring afterwards. You mind sitting this out?" "Really? I am not against this, but why are you asking this rather suddenly?" Phenomenal E: "Been talking with him for awhile. I think there is more to him than others believe. I want to see if I am right and the best way is to test the kid in the ring. Let us see what he can do." I got to work with Reilly for awhile of course. He is a good hand and he was the last guy to come out of the 4C Combat Academy too. He didn't have the time to work his way up before the closure so really he was nothing more than a job guy. Here we had a few plans, but admittedly we had not decided where everyone stands in some cases as far as pecking order. If Ed really thinks there is untapped potential in Reilly who am I to say no? "You got it. I'll get with Shep and let him know the switch." Phenomenal E: "Hey, thanks. I may be wrong, but if I am right? You all won't regret this. You let the old man know and I'll get with Reilly." Heh, old man. Ed is only two or so years younger than Shep. He was obviously joking given the manner he said it, but it still amused me. This is also why cards are always subject to change. At least in this case it doesn't happen due to an injury or a no show. Not only that I find myself more interested on how the night unfolds. The only downside is not getting into the ring tonight now.
  15. Finally got time to read this and catch up on things. Really like the outlaw vibe going on. Keep up the great work!
  16. Time has been going by pretty well. Talks with Shep happen every few days and if we get new ideas to bounce off one another we usually send a quick text to see what the other will think. We aren't trying to be fancy. We can be fancy if we ever get big enough that we need to get to that point. Right now it is keeping it simple and making the guys look good. Not only that but to give some of the more green talents some working experience. Speaking of that a few of the guys got to wrestle in some spot shows which is always good to see. G Force and Drop Kix both had some singles matches about a week after the show. G Force found himself losing to Barry Griffin which is nothing to be sad about. Barry has been around for ages and that had to be a good experience. Drop Kix on the other hand took on and defeated Melvin Otto at the same show. If anything that has to be a confidence booster. Not to mention Otto works for IPW so maybe Kix is hoping that means they might take a look at him after that match. Evil Spirit may not have wrestled for us this month, but he did return to Japan and take part of a six man tag where he was on the winning side along with a duo called the Diamond Dogs. They defeated the team of Yozo Ishigami and the Tokyo Mountains. Hopefully the guys finding some side work continues. Extra matches are only going to do good things for them as we prep for the next show.
  17. "You sure you are okay?" G Force: "Oh it hurts, but it isn't going to keep me from working. I got a few days off and I got a match back in the US. I'll be fine for next month if you need me." "Okay, just take care of yourself. No need to go all out when you got a lot of time ahead of you." G Force: "Never know how much time you got doing this so I figure I go all out. I'll see you later, Clutch." He isn't wrong. He is only twenty, but even at twenty-seven I was unsure where my career was going to go just a few months ago. Was I going to just be toiling away in the tag ranks? Was I going to perhaps find my way to ACPW or somewhere else? CWA still looks like it is so far away, but at least being here working with Shep makes me feel like I am not treading water for the time being. ???: "Hey." "Oh, hey. Was just making sure Garfield was fine. He was also telling me he gets to wrestle Barry Griffin in about a week." Sky King: "A good veteran talent. At least he is getting some good workers to learn from early on. How are you?" "Honestly? Nerves were there. I could have done better, but I think the show was fine." There is a small nod and Sky King reaches out to pat me on the shoulder before moving past to take a seat and relax. Sky King: "I felt it did well too, but no reason to think it will always be this way. It is new and fun to everyone right now. I am already watching videos on others to bring in. It might be some time since I like what we have, but finding some talent even if just for a few months to swap in and out is never bad." "Right, I am not going to be getting complacent. Too much work to do for that." Sky King: "You have that right. Go home and get some rest. Most of the other guys have already left. I'll make sure the place is cleaned to my liking and close up. Have a good one, Clutch." The only thing I can find a problem with? I hate it has to be a month before we hold another show, but I understand. It gives us time to plan and if something bad happens we hopefully have time to adjust as well. Maybe once we get a bit more well known we can look at doing more shows. Hah, there I go already thinking ahead. Not a bad thing I suppose, but just need to focus on the next show for now. One day at a time and one show at a time. Got to make sure to not look ahead too much. That was honestly what did 4C in. Too much too fast and they couldn't handle it. At least February isn't too far away and I am sure I will be meeting with Shep to discuss plans soon enough.
  18. All Action Wrestling: Taking Flight Bonnie Doon Public Library in Alberta Attendance: 66 Mosher vs Flying Patriot A clash of styles where Mosher is more a brawler where Flying Patriot seems to throw himself about without a care. A rather dangerous approach, but given Mosher's name he is rather used to people crashing into him anyways. A pretty good, high paced match with allows Patriot to show off some of the crazier moves he can do in between parts where Mosher is mostly in control. Mosher picks up the win after a diving headbutt he calls the Headbanger. Winner: Mosher Rating: 37 Bailey and McKane are out next and are exchanging high fives with fans onto the ring before getting in and addressing the crowd. TJ Bailey: "Hey everyone. Hope you are enjoying things so far. I for one am proud to be here at the start of something special." Clutch McKane: "We are going to be here for a lot of firsts going forward. We just got to see the first match. We are on the first show and perhaps in time the first we look forward to most is we will be the first AAW tag team champions." TJ Bailey: "We don't know when that is, but we are going to put everyone on notice now starting tonight. There will be no better tag team than us." Clutch: "We held gold before and we will again. We'll take on all comers starting right now." Rating: 24 Bailey & McKane vs G Force and Drop Kix A pretty decent tag match given one side is teaming for the first time. It helps that Drop Kix had his working shoes on and honestly looking good while Bailey & McKane's experience as a team also helps out. G Force is the wild card, but he more than held his own for the time he was used. What wasn't expected was during a dive to the outside he landed in a way that busted his nose open and dazed him. He was a bit limited after that and Drop Kix fought valiantly for his side, but fell victim to a double missile dropkick. Winners: Bailey & McKane Rating: 39 Arthur Dexter Bradley vs Cal Sanders Another match with a good contrast in styles where ADB was showing off the lucha influence of his skillset while Cal was more than happy to keep to a ground game and use good grabbling and submission skills to keep in control of a majority of the match. Both men looked good in this match and got in plenty of offense in a back and forth affair. Cal ends up winning using one of the few high flying moves in his arsenal, the Frog Splash. Winner: Cal Sanders Rating: 47 Phenomenal E is out next ahead just before the main event is about to kick off. He asks for a microphone and looks like he has something to say. Phenomenal E: "I have been doing this for close to twenty years. Been all over Canada then spent a decade in Japan before deciding to come home. I considered options and I find myself in front of all of you instead of hundreds or thousands in Japan because of one thing. It isn't about the money for me these days. It is finding new challenges. I see a lot of veterans as well as young, hungry guys that I have never gotten to face and this might be the first time any of you get to see me. My new challenge is to fight and get to t he top and stay there. Tonight is the first step in doing so and it won't be easy. So come on out here, Shiva. Let me see what you got!" Rating: 34 Phenomenal E vs Shiva Easily the best match of the night with both men really putting forth a good effort to put on a great back and forth match which once again features two good, contrasting styles. Shiva is a hard hitting striker that Phenomenal E at least should be used to given his time in Japan. Shiva certainly was listening and started out in control of the match and it takes some time before E is able to finally get some sort of comeback and highlight some of his high risk offense. A good back and forth match with good pacing that sees both men coming close to the win. A big kick from E stuns Shiva who gets dropped with a big dropkick before E goes up top and hits the Tumbleweed Legdrop off the top rope to win. Winner: Phenomenal E Rating: 64 Phenomenal E only gets a few moments to celebrate before three men hit the ring and start to lay into him. E is left laying in the middle of the ring with Sky King standing over him with arms raised as Evil Spirit and Brimstone stand slightly behind him seeming pleased with their work. Rating: 25 Final Rating: 49 Top Performers: 1st: Phenomenal E, 2nd: TJ Bailey, 3rd: Shiva
  19. It was the day of the show and I have to say I was perhaps the only one on edge. At least from what I could tell. Most of the guys were arriving and it was just another show for them, but for me even as small as it is and as simple as me and Shep kept things when planning things out it was my first time being more than just a wrestler and doing more. Then I heard laughter not far off in the direction of the locker area. Curious I had to go and take a peek. Phenomenal E was sitting in a chair with a big grin on his face with everyone standing or sitting around him. E was in the middle of a story about his time in Japan and some of the crazy stuff he ended up seeing or being a part of. Slipping in I decided to listen too and it might have been the best decision I made that night. E was a great storyteller and just being around listening helped me feel more relaxed and it really made for a great atmosphere. The only person not to be seen was Shiva which is no big surprise, but even Evil Spirit was there getting some chuckles because E would tell him parts of jokes in Japanese since Spirit isn't very good with English right now. By the time he was done everyone was ready for the show and at least for now my worries were quashed. If anything with everyone in a good mood hopefully that means the show will go off without a hitch.
  20. So everyone is signed and now the stage is to be set. The target is in the middle of January to run the first show and we aren't sure how many people will even attend. For now a venue has been set. A library which is honestly the last place I ever expected to run a show, but apparently they have a side area that allows for a few hundred people which we probably won't draw to start at least. I am admittedly a bundle of nerves hoping I don't screw things up. Shep has been helpful in answering questions and really this is his first time running an entire company no matter how small we are. We have been tossing ideas around and getting ideas on what to try. In the end the first show on paper looks like it should do well at least, but that remains to be seen. In a few weeks All Action Wrestling will finally be taking flight.

Starting out as a backyard worker he and four others created Xtreme Danger Wrestling which garnered quite a bit of infamy during its time. It wasn't a long term project and soon the five founders all set out on The Quest to see which one could end up working for a major company.</p><p> </p><p> Alas, Kris did not win. And in fact of all five he has been the only one not to find work beyond small spot shows around the United States and Canada. Twelve years he has toiled and kept a positive attitude his time would come. He knows one point someone would call him.</p><p> </p><p> And then the phone rang.</p><p> </p><p> Fearless Blue: "Howdy! How may I help ya?"</p><p> </p><p> Excitement faded to disappointment as he let out a sigh.</p><p> </p><p> Fearless Blue: "No thanks, I am already happy with my car insurance."</p><p> </p><p> Another sigh escaped as Kris hung up the phone and looked out the window. One day it will be someone calling for him. One day he will be able to tell the other four he found a company to work for.</p><p> </p><p> Fearless Blue: "I'm sure the next call will be the one. I just gotta be patient."</p><p> </p><p> Sadly, Fearless Blue has not joined AAW.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="kpFkTn5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kpFkTn5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>
  22. <p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="kpFkTn5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kpFkTn5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <img alt="PWKurmW.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PWKurmW.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The meeting with Mosher helped me a bit in finding the last person I was in charge of trying to get to sign with AAW. If not for tips there I might have had quite a time trying to find him. Really once 4C closed he seemed to almost drop off the map and here I had to travel all the way to a small town in Saskatchewan to find him. Looking up I read the name of the Muay Thai dojo to make sure it was the right place and entered.</p><p> </p><p> It didn't take long to see who I was looking for currently punishing a punching bag with some pretty stiff kicks.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="OecHk2W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OecHk2W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Jace Madrigal, better known as Shiva. In fact I don't remember anyone ever really calling him by something other than Shiva. That is if anyone even talked to him. Shiva was always a man of few words.</p><p> </p><p> "Hey, Shiva."</p><p> </p><p> Me speaking up led to him pausing in his strikes as he slowly turned to face me. A stone faced look as per usual just felt like I was being stared right through by him.</p><p> </p><p> Shiva: "Yes?"</p><p> </p><p> "Oh, uh, well good to see you for one. I-"</p><p> </p><p> Shiva: "You want something. Just tell me."</p><p> </p><p> Well he is straight and to the point and so with that being said I proceeded to make my pitch to him about AAW. The problem is his expression rarely changes so I wasn't sure if was even considering it or I was just boring him to death. He did let me finish without interruption at least and remained silent a few moments longer. Yeah, that was a fun awkward silence....not.</p><p> </p><p> Shiva: "I was thinking of going into the cage. Giving up wrestling."</p><p> </p><p> I had a feeling that was the case. As far as I know Shiva hasn't even bothered to do anything wrestling related since 4C closed a few months back so I honestly figured it would be a wash.</p><p> </p><p> "I see, well it was worth a shot. I hope you-"</p><p> </p><p> Shiva: "I didn't say no. I am just saying I will not be solely focused on the company. I have other things I wish to try."</p><p> </p><p> That was honestly a better answer than I had hoped for. Shiva has a legit background and honestly out of everyone else I have seen he has a unique style in comparison. That rather cold exterior is the only thing that may totally hold him back from ever making it big. Then again it may add to his sort of 'mysterious badass' persona and make him more popular.</p><p> </p><p> "So I can tell him you're in?"</p><p> </p><p> Shiva: "Yes, tell him to contact the dojo. I will get things sorted out."</p><p> </p><p> It was a relief. Both in getting Shiva to agree and finally leaving that place. I don't THINK he was going to get violent with me, but at the same time I felt like I was walking on eggshells there. For now my work is done when it comes to recruiting. Of course now the real fun begins. Getting with Sky King and working on setting up the first show.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="kpFkTn5.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kpFkTn5.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p>
