The broken autobooker is legit destroying my experience. haha It makes me have zero faith in the AI's booking, like if an AI booker has a low score then the shows should produce crap decisions. Right now going through a RW mod (Killing the Business) i'm seeing WWE and AEW put out cage matches and gimmick matches almost every show and PPV worthy main events are shoved together on every A show. A lot of that can be addressed with editing the skills to balance better but the autobooker right now i'm assuming is a bug because 2016 it was much better. Hopefully that is fixed soon because the combination of autobooker and the product limitations is a little infuriating. Otherwise i'm digging it and trying my hardest to transition over to 20 fully.

I sure as hell hope this was thought about. Pretty obvious next thing to think about after adjusting the rate of skill increase. -

TEW 2020 released!

Meaningless post but i just wanted to thank Adam for adding the ability to turn off penalties for turning. That increased my experience quite a bit. -
That's really my only issue at this point. I'm sure i'll have issues with the limited potential for the AI and lack of potential to Auto Booker but really the only big issue i have is the terrible product decision. I'm sure i'll still buy it right away though because i know there's so much work that goes into it and there's just way too much good stuff added to not show MY personal appreciation. I still love 16 though so it's a win / win either way and i completely agree that these templates take away the enjoyment / excitement quite a bit in 20. Probably a bunch of things that we'll get to experience and enjoy that aren't even talked about much yet once the game is unlocked and we all get to jump into a game world.

Not that an explanation is owed to anyone but can Adam or whoever that may know speak on what exactly makes the date be pushed back to 14th? Because seems that most of the updates can just be released in a patch (Scrollbar, UI, etc). Since it was already scheduled for release, can't you just do it now and continue working into the patches? Everyone is going to have to use future patches anyway. I'm interested in testing further into the game as well, like others have mentioned. Going to be unique issues that come up further into game saves.

Disagree with all of that. More freedom is far superior. But still this is the decision that was made and we move on. Hopefully there's enough added and improved to make up for it. At the least the people that do like to play with other people's products don't have to wait for a long fix or anything so i don't have to feel bad about being one of the users responsible for a delay. ha (I do feel bad for those impatiently excited to get into the new game)
-
No, that's not why. Has nothing to do with gaming the system and everything to do with the freedom of unique experiences. Some people create their own worlds / mods and the ability to apply different ideas for competing companies or my own is appealing. Plus products would organically evolve and incrementally for each appeal type and not just stuck on two options like it is now.

Yea, this is disappointing news to wake up to. Templates must be very important and everything must work off them for it to take until 2021 to fix the problem. The fact that some said new ones can get added from suggestions make me wonder how hard it is to let the users add their own themselves though. Still there's a lot of good additions and i want to support the work, i'm on the fence though because knowing i'm stuck w/ these templates is going to eat away at me every time i play. I was pretty happy with 16, so still have that version to play at least.

What you're pointing out is in-game during gameplay. For sure, but that doesn't dictate it working in a completely different era though. Like i said we don't know what the future has to hold and if they presented things differently back then w/ a bit better story telling and a better booker it could work. A lot of things could. Just because we haven't seen something yet, doesn't mean it isn't possible. I only say that because this game goes on for years and years and does have eras section in both versions so the thought of evolution and potential isn't beyond Adam.
-
Plus, there should be freedom to make a product that is key feature sex appeal in an era where sex appeal is viewed the highest. Years back MTV was all about selling sex and imagine if the Playboy or w/e debauchery fueled media decided to start a pro wrestling promotion that wouldn't penalize looks and sexuality. So again, what does the future of wrestling have to hold? Eras change and society evolved and devolves opening up plenty of promotion strategies that won't be templates. I sure as hell don't want to wait on things to be added on the fly let alone have to deal with being told it's not needed because they don't agree. Just easier to allow the entire range of settings to be set and throw in the templates for quicker set ups like 16.
