  1. Oh man, these are all so good. All three would work, but I think I'm leaning towards The Prime Directive as it fits their more serious tone best. I'm picturing a hard-hitting foreign stable coming to make an impact and take over, launching Matthew Keith to the top in the process. I think this name emphasizes that they're on a mission. Thanks so much! You got me brainstorming who I could group together to form a group called Bleeding Edge now.
  2. Playing SWF in 2020. I just signed away from BHOTWG NEO Prime members Koshiro Ino and Matthew Keith, also Gargantuan, all within a couple weeks of each other. What I want to do is group them together in like a *wink wink* continuation of NEO Prime, a la "The Club" AJ Styles/The Good Brothers when they signed with WWE. What I'm look for is a name that conveys this without naming it something that would get the SWF sued in real life. A good ripoff if you may. Open to anything but a few I got are: Future Prime The Prime Faction As you can see, I'm stumped.
  3. That's where I was with my TEW2016 SWF save. I also had another 1 hr B show I would change up every few months. It's a hardcore show for a little while, then it's about a big round robin tournament going on in the background, then it's centered around the lightweight division, etc.
  4. If you have more than one show scheduled for the same night, what determines their order? Like I have my A-show and B-show held on the same night, but the B-show is set to air the next day, is there a way to book the A-show first? Or any other suggestions?
  5. Personally I'm stuck between exactly what OP has for (1) or have Rocky hold onto the title and retain, then lose shortly after. Either way I'm seriously mulling over a fatal 4-way for the title, which I think could be a good shake-up considering what we know about past SCs, although the Three Ring focus has me reconsidering. Need to make sure there's still enough available talent for two other great matches. But for that I'm thinking Rocky v Gilmore v Remo v Crippler as long as no one is too far in decline. Gives Crippler and Gilmore the SC Main Event they deserve (we all know Gilmore/Rogue didn't main event over Bruce/Faith at 35). Morgan and Rogue are backups, but right now that's another match I'm leaning towards. I can't be the only one who's going to do whatever it takes to bring Bruce back, even just as a part-timer. I'll go into the editor if I have to. I wasn't ready for him to retire. I think I'm bringing him back as a heel a month or two before SC, and I think Valiant v Bruce could be something special. Bruce can get the surprise win and have Valiant go over once and for all down the line. Twice in a Lifetime type of story. I'm thinking about having Randy turn on The Awesomeness sometime before SC, giving them their long overdue face run, then reuniting Randy with ZWB. It's been three years since the turn (and I've done the rivalry to death in prior games), I don't think it would be too soon at all. Awesomeness vs newly reunited Bumfholes.
  6. Great looking card! Can I ask how you made it a 7 hour show?
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="marsupial311" data-cite="marsupial311" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>My next PPV is Master of Puppets and I have a "manager's pick" tournament where eight managers pick their client and the winner of the tournament makes the main event of Supreme Challenge. Allen is going to turn on James when he doesn't give up his spot for the title turning James face and setting up a match for them at SC.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This is a great idea. If you're still looking for ideas, I had Black Hat Bailey start managing in addition to his road agent duties, and he ended up having amazing chemistry with Marshall Dillon. </p><p> </p><p> I've kept Des around the upper midcard area, but he might be my most improved worker overall. He can very much hold his own on the mic, and his psych, basics, etc. are getting into the upper 80s. I could push him to the moon right now, but I never run out of ways for him to just miss out on the NA title. The plan is to eventually pair him up with Ross Henry when I call him up, turn him heel, and have him finally win the NA title. </p><p> </p><p> IMO Remo and Khoklov are career heels, so I could easily imagine them never having faced off outside of battle royals and what not.</p>
  8. What's everyone's path to International/Global? I never had a problem getting there in 2013, but it looks like you need to expand to at least one other game area other than USA/Canada/Mexico. I'm in May 2017 and hadn't really thought about it until I tried to sign an international star.
  9. <p>I try to build toward a brand split over the first two in-game years. IMO SWF does not start with enough top tier talent to carry two separate brands, but that's just me. I can usually get my A-shows to 90+ ratings after a few months, so I wait until I know I can consistently hit these ratings with half my roster. </p><p> </p><p> Anyways, I always have the Supreme brand on Supreme TV and the Elite brand on Elite TV. Anyone can appear on Uprising, so unless they are not contracted for B-shows, any worker can still face any other worker. Supreme brand had the SWF WHC and the Television title, a midcard belt frequently defended on TV. Elite brand had the SWF Supreme title as its main title and the NA title as its upper midcard belt. Tag titles, Vixxen title, and Uprising title can move between shows. I booked them mostly the same, but tried to keep Elite TV focused more on the wrestling with Supreme TV more entertainment focused.</p>
  10. How bad is the fallout after turning someone heel who did not want to due to merch sales? Would I be better off just keeping them face and having them feud with other faces?
  11. As a USA based promotion, would opening a dogo in Europe produce European graduates? On a related note, would opening a dogo in Italy only produce Italian graduates or grads from surrounding countries as well? Also, is there any reason why I shouldn't use a generic venue for every show?
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KnowYourEnemy" data-cite="KnowYourEnemy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Bach has figurehead potential. He's secretly one of the great all-around workers and his star quality is terrific. His promo skills are exceptional. Unless he's on time decline, definitely pick him up, and if he is, consider picking him up anyway.<p> </p><p> I'm not sure I'd go with a PPA as I've seen USPW pick him up as well.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> For some reason USPW have ignored him. He's been on the deal for around the month. I think he might be in slight time decline, but I'm going to try the other poster's idea and sign him to a short PPA deal to see if he's worth it.</p>
  13. What are your opinions on Sammy Bach? TCW is only offering PPA deals, so I have a chance to steal him for ~28K a month. Is his relationship with Emma Chase going to cause too much drama to make it not worth it? My backstage has been at 100% for a while so I think it could take the hit, but I'm not sure.
  14. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="lr10540" data-cite="lr10540" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I don't like doing more than 15 or so for a singles TV match. I prefer saving the long matches for PPV. In reverse, most all of my major feuds (midcard and up) tend to get between 13-15 minutes minimum on PPV. I'll toy with it and see what I can come up with.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I mean I completely agree with this on principle so if you figure something out, please post it. I liked being able to set my minimums to 15, 10, and 5 minutes in 2013. I feel like the new system gives you a lot less freedom.</p>
  15. I still get the booking note for 18 or so minutes, but it seems to be enough to keep a match like Gilmore/Rogue from capping at ~78. I would definitely do 20 minutes in a main event match unless psychology/stamina becomes a major issue. Then you might be better off with the length penalty.
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="lr10540" data-cite="lr10540" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The new performance rating has me a bit confused. Brandon James vs Steven Parker, Valiant vs Sammy Smoke and Angry Gilmore vs Rogue all scored a 78. I was thinking Gilmore vs Rogue would've had a much better rating than the previous two. On the flip side, having a main eventer in a match instantly gives it a 70+ rating, seemingly. It makes it a lot easier to book a solid show with that being said.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I run into this quite a bit, and I could be wrong, but I think it has to do with match lengths. I often get that upper 70s score when a match is likely too short. I'm still playing around with it, but any match between a ME and an UM or ME 18 minutes or longer should avoid this, but do a full 20 minutes if possible. ME vs MC should be at least 15-16 mins. UM/MC vs UM/MC at least 13-14 mins. Any less should still be 10 mins. or longer to get a decent score. That's at least what I've observed.</p>
  17. <p>While we're on the topic of brand splits, I feel like adding my two cents. I've learned the hard way that you probably shouldn't do a brand split when you just think you can "make it work." You do a brand split when you can split the roster and <strong><em>it won't affect your show ratings whatsoever. </em></strong> Say you have 8-10 main eventers on your roster and you are consistently hitting close to 90 on Supreme/Elite TV. Will you be able to consistently hit those same grades with 4-5 main eventers? Maybe, maybe not. You also run the risk of repetitive booking. </p><p> </p><p> What I do first when I get a second A show is just keeping most of my storylines exclusive to one of the shows while also increasing the number of storylines I have going at a time. This helps me keep far more of the roster relevant at any one time and you don't need to cut your potential match-ups in half. Just thought I would throw that out there as I have had saved that were going great, but I split the roster too soon and basically lost all my progress I had gained because I couldn't keep my show grades up to where they were.</p>
  18. <p>My only loss so far is Brandon James. I play as the owner, but I couldn't stomach paying $50K a month to someone that was likely going to fall down the card in 2017 and I'm interested to see how he does in SOTBPW. Learned not to give a worker a huge win right before a contract negotiation, though. His contract runs out right after SC 36, so all in all it works out pretty well. Rich Money signed back up with me right after, which helped. I also have Jay Chord, Troy Tornado, Edd Stone and a few others. </p><p> </p><p> My SC 36 card if anyone is interested:</p><p> </p><p> Remo © vs. Jack Bruce - SWF WHC</p><p> </p><p> Vengeance vs. Marat Khoklov</p><p> </p><p> Valiant/Rogue/Joey Morgan vs. Eric Eisen/Brandon James/Morpheus (American Buffalo)</p><p> </p><p> Angry Gilmore vs. The Crippler - Technical Masterclass</p><p> </p><p> Troy Tornado vs. Paul Huntington ©- NA title </p><p> </p><p> Amazing Bumfholes vs. Awesomeness vs. Platinum Blondes - Tag titles</p><p> </p><p> Hero Squad vs. Deadly Sins (John Greed & McClean)</p><p> </p><p> Des Davids vs. Joe Sexy</p><p> </p><p> Mikey Lau vs. Big Smack Scott w/Kurt Laramee</p><p> </p><p> Jimmy Hernandez & Steven Parker vs. Jay Chord & Bret Starr</p><p> </p><p> Still not sure if/how I'm going to fit Rich Money in there. I'm leaning towards having him help the Valiant/Rogue/Morgan team before swerving everyone and taking Brandon James' spot in their stable on Supreme TV (and basically taking it over).</p><p> </p><p> I'm also curious how Champagne Lover is working out for anyone who has signed him.</p>
  19. Honestly I've never done an elimination chamber for SWF. You've definitely given me a lot to think about there. I completely agree. I don't just hash out Under Control like any other PPV and just throw the top 2 or 3 matches into the Supreme Cell (my HiaC). It's definitely planned out far in advance. These are feuds that couldn't even finish on the grandest stage of them all. Then they either have another messy finish at WttJ or meet again in the battle royal and to me, the Cell is a natural escalation of the feud. Having 2 or 3 of these per year that feel called for is not very hard. I'll still bust out the match at other PPVs if the feud demands it.
  20. I completely understand that, but I think Under Control is in the perfect place on the schedule to make it work. Even if Supreme Challenge is the end all be all of events, not all storylines are going to end there. Especially if I have a special matchup I was saving for SC, a rematch or two might be called for. Welcome to the Jungle is tough for this because the battle royal takes up so much of the event, so it really isn't hard to have at least two or three big storylines waiting to finish for Under Control.
  21. AFAIK there is no "official canon" for what generally happens, but I'll go over what I do. I book Christmas Clash like Survivor Series is booked today. There's generally a theme of large tag team matches, but I also throw in singles matches and normal tag teams. I do try to make it a goal to get as many workers on the main card as possible. For Welcome to the Jungle, I hold a Royal Rumble style 30-man Battle Royal with the winner receiving a title shot that can be turned into a match at any point until the next year's Supreme Challenge. I really like the placement of this PPV because it can set someone up for a monumental year or big storyline right after the "season finale" that is SC. Even though I usually have the challenger lose, I often use it to move someone up from upper midcarder to main eventer. As far as other PPVs, I book The World Is Watching like the SWF's SummerSlam. Not only can it be seen as the 2nd biggest PPV of the year, but it's in a perfect spot to trigger a storyline that concludes at SC. For Under Control, I put the main event matches in a cage. Ultimately it's up to you, and I'm interested to hear other ideas for PPVs.
  22. Yeah it definitely makes the game a little easier, but I am trying to keep my roster down by only signing workers with at the very least either star quality or charisma boosts, but preferably both. The ability to sign one-off contracts with workers without tarnishing your relationship with them will make it easier to see who has these boosts before signing them to long-term deals. Plus I will likely steal away less workers from large companies because they are much better at negotiating. Oh yeah, that's definitely better. For some reason I didn't think this was possible without a TV deal.
  23. But Nemesis is set to leave at the end of January, so I always just booked the match myself in his last appearance.
  24. I've been waiting for this thread. First things first, I lower the risque level of the product to medium (makes signing workers much easier), switch RIPW to a touring schedule, and make a few hires. Roger Cage, Kirk Jameson, and Masked Cougar are all great hires, but need to be taken fast because USPro tends to go after them right away. I also keep an eye on Hell's Bouncer, he gets swiped by USPro in roughly one in three games. If I do need to sign him, I rename him Damien (a work in progress) and keep him in RIPW until he can make a big debut. I think Scythe is a little too far off to take Vengeance's spot, but Damien could be perfect for that role. Then I stash El Mitico Jr., Logan Wolfsbaine, and Xavi Ferrera in RIPW. Obviously the tag team division needs work, so I think that is where I am putting the new hires. Cage and Smokes can reform their tag team. Jameson and Hernandez' team no longer exists in the game, but I think that would be a good place to start him at. Cougar could either team with Lau (he fits the product much better than Frankie Perez) or Masked Patriot once you call him up, which would help get Patriot some overness. In 2013, I signed Greg Black and teamed him up with Robbie Retro (until I could steal away Benson), so I might do that again. In addition to the starting storylines, I added one between Eric Eisen and Vengeance (I like this name way better than DeBones). This story is mostly stolen from another thread, but Eisen holds an open challenge every week where he faces and beats members of the undercard (with regular help from Squeeky McClean). At When Hell Freezes Over, Vengeance will answer the open challenge, but Eisen will run off and get himself counted out in a short match. They will interact at every event until Nothing to Lose, where Eisen unleashes what he has been hyping as his secret weapon: a returning Marat Khoklov, leading to Vengeance vs. Khoklov at SC 36. I plan on dragging out the Jack Bruce/Crippler storyline until Bruce can get the big win at The World Is Watching, which will put him on the path for a title shot at SC 36, though I am still undecided if he is winning here or not. From the looks of it, we have had four years in a row of a face capturing the title at SC, so Remo coming out on top could be a nice swerve. Another plan of mine is having Emma Chase help Rogue win a big match and becoming his full-time manager once again. IMO Rogue is missing too many pieces to be a true main eventer, but Rogue/Chase has always been amazing for me. Valiant is definitely being groomed into the next figurehead, but Spencer Spade should be pushed ASAP. That scrub who defied you in his match with Nemesis and nearly cost you millions in sponsorship deals? I would just job him out until his contract expires. Let him be HGC's problem. In all seriousness, I tend to try and stick with the C-Verse history a little too close probably in my '97 games, which is likely why I have trouble sticking with them. Just guessing from title histories, I build to a big Faith/Bruce match in the main event of SC '97 with McFly/Keith as the semi-main event there to steal the show. Then Keith rides the momentum off this great match to take the belt of Faith in the last Supreme TV of July. I like my workers to have at least either star quality or charisma boosts in his/her road agents notes, and Austin Smooth gets neither, but I'm not sure if either are these are something he can improve upon. I've had good women's divisions in '13, but I usually waited until I could steal away a USPro worker or two and build it around them. Alicia Strong would be perfect since there is nothing keeping her in USPro anymore.
