Every arena was a little bit different, but Steve DeColt knew them all--at least from the performer’s standpoint. Since taking on the role of CEO, the veteran more often found himself in small, makeshift offices and production areas--not the familiarity of locker rooms. He made it a point not to get too locked in the office work--being sure to be a presence everywhere in the building. At this moment he was ringside. The promotion had brought in a few youngsters on handshake deals to work the bottom of the card. Two teams to be exact, Minnesota Awesome and The Heartbreak Express. Duane had them in the ring, running a few drills, getting a sense of what they could do. Jeremy Stone was watching alongside DeColt and grumpily remarked “Were we ever that young?” Steve smiled. “Younger.” Stone replied. “Speak for yourself. I was already bald when I was twenty.” Jeremy patted his own head. Adrain Garcia called over. “Hey Steve! Jeremy! Sorry to interrupt, but I wanted to introduce you to Ernest Youngman.” Steve turned and faced the new signee and offered his hand. Youngman looked the part--simultaneously lean and muscular, a strong jaw, dark shiny hair. He had the look, and more importantly, he could go in the ring. Youngman took the CEO’s hand in a strong grip. “Thanks for having me. I’m excited for the opportunity.” Steve smiled. He liked that the kid did a man’s handshake. He hated that soft, carny style of handshake that was far more common when Steve entered the business. DeColt replied “We're happy to have you. We think you have a lot to offer!”

I'm just saying...Hangman has been put in an unenviable position. The waffle house cook is supposed to potato the PGHW dojo grad to teach him a lesson?!

That said, I'm predicting with my head as my heart is pulling for Eddie & Nate. Also, DF could pair up nicely with Behemoths for next tag feud. Freddy Huggins vs Edd Stone --Cheat to win and this extends. Stone will need a partner against the Hybrid 2. One Man Army vs Human Arsenal vs Joshua Taylor in a #1 Contenders Match for the TCW World Heavyweight title --Going with OMA as I expect Wolf to win and he'll be a quick opponent to dispatch to start his run Sammy Bach vs Jay Chord --Could pull for the sentimental favorite, but I think you need to go with Chord. Mighty Meaty vs The Behemoths for the TCW World Tag Team titles --Maybe some tensions on the babyface side? Need to free Mo from Tana. Aaron Andrews vs Wolf Hawkins for the TCW World Heavyweight title --Heel champ dealing with face RDJ could be an interesting dynamic

I regret that I have been sleeping on this...that changes now. Great layout and great storytelling. I like your opening arc for Nicky Champion...interesting to see where his journey takes him. Interesting wrench thrown in with Quine going down...

Just catching up with this and great, fun read so far! Often times the predictable path is the smart path. Predictable usually means solid, logical story-telling and makes unpredictable moments more meaningful. Looking forward to see how Malice plays out!
