  1. People who were expecting a promo shock full of digs at AEW don't really know Triple H's WWE any well. They were actively referencing AEW (well, not really AEW but All In, the show that caused AEW to be a thing) in a positive light during the Survivor Series. I'm fully expecting someone to ''haha'' this post but in my estimation this war is not taken seriously by WWE at the moment and Vince was likely the major reason they ever did back in 2019 as he would have enjoyed crushing the only semblance of competition WWE had received since WCW went under. If it was down to Hunter I don't think NXT would have ever left the wave of momentum it was on before the WNW was shoehorned into existence. Maybe a few guys who are now in AEW would have never left.
  2. Good little episode of Raw every time THINGS WERE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN WITHOUT 20 DUMB STAR PLUS SOCCER COMMERCIALS IN A ROW INTERRUPTING THE FLOW. Sigh. Orton looks great, he should have just squashed Dom to give Punk more time on the mike but I suppose they gotta leave us wanting more. The Punk promo itself was good stuff though I wish his first actual storyline would have started. Creeds looked awesome and the Drew stuff is intriguing. I just can't take Raw seriously when a wrestler is standing in the ring doing nothing for a good 10 minutes while they recap the previous PPV and commercials galore. I don't know whether to blame WWE or USA Network for this so let's just move on and give flowers for a good show. Not sure I can do this every week, though. SmackDown is so perfectly paced by comparison it's ridiculous.

  4. Personally I liked/loved all the matches on the show when it came to the workrate, but I had a major issue with the women's match that I thought DCTRL needed the win a lot more, they looked dominant like the men's faces team did at the end of their match; only difference was, the women's faces team supergirl'd their way back. Just a deflating ending considering my expectations, to what would have been my MOTN. Another pet peeve of mine with WWE WarGames is that I kind of wish they went back to the old submissions only stip. Would make the match feel a lot more brutal even if they just venture into the most safe submissions possible.
  5. Sting Brian Pillman ??? Hull Kogan Welcome back, dudester! Hoping this is the one. I've always enjoyed your style of writing and can definitely relate to stop-start projects in these boards (though my latest one that I stopped in here is still ongoing in the discord and I might bring that thread back at any moment) so I'll always be supportive. We all have our personal struggles and all it takes is that one project to get us some momentum as writers.
  6. Spider-Man 2 is quite good, I even platted it a few nights ago (only deleted it for the time being bc there really isn't anything else to do until they add NG+ and I needed some space in my storage) but I felt it was disappointing compared to the first and it didn't fully live up to the hype following the setup from Miles Morales. The first two acts are really good. I love how Kraven is portrayed, and you can really feel the struggle with the black suit from Peter up until the Venom reveal (hoping there isn't anyone here who didn't even watch a single trailer before wanting to buy SM2 as I wanted to be spoiler-free - I don't really consider these things I've talked about spoilers as they were all over trailers and ads plus I didn't really go in detail, if there's anyone who fits this criteria please tell me and I'll delete this whole part of the rant & the next) But I felt as if they rushed through the third act. There is no time to digest any of it. It's two or three missions and that's joever. In the first game you had a much longer setup to fighting each of the Six. Even Miles Morales, a short game, had better pacing with its climax. I was left with a feeling of ''that's it?'' and just wanting more. I guess that's a good hook for the DLC and inevitable third game, but I can't help but feel that it wasn't all in a positive light. There was a ton of missed potential with the third act. I get not every game can be GTA San Andreas with 100 missions but those are my two cents as a big Spidey fan who did enjoy the game but it wasn't the classic I was hoping for.
  7. That just makes it a thousand times funnier and you should keep it as an easter egg (maybe for every show, probably not lmao)
  8. Really curious to an elaboration of this take ngl lol Taker's latter run as Deadman from 2007 to 2013 produced his best matches is the most common perception, at the very least (one I agree with)
  9. Mystery partners in WWE are mostly lowkey (not to say they aren't disappointments from time to time, they are) and they're not a frequent enough occurrence to be considered a meme. Tony's big announcements are hyped to oblivion and turn out to be mostly completely unnecessary. Was there really not a better way to 'debut' Ospreay as an official member of the roster?
  10. Finn Bálor Lashley's trio Becky Lynch (DQ) Kross & Scarlett Randy Orton Logan Paul Ronda & Shayna Ilja Dragunov
  11. Alexa absolutely worked until they fed the Fiend to Orton in that nonsensical Mania match.
  12. nWo El Hijo del Santo Steve Austin Lance Storm Dean Malenko Harlem Heat Ricky Steamboat Faces of Fear
  13. Ric Flair Randy Savage Hogan & Sid by DQ LOD Ted DiBiase Virgil Bret Hart I feel like this is a trick question so I'll say Savage/Roberts
  14. People complain when the Kickoff match means nothing, and they complain when WWE puts on a match with an actual storyline that is worth watching. Oh well...
  15. Felt like a meta promo, like she was being bad on purpose even. Not that it makes it any better.
  16. I'd also like to add Crash Team Rumble to that list. With friends it's quite the fun, unique game. A bit repetitive at times but you can do a lot worse. Plus it's crossplay so you guys can get two copies for different platforms (one for PS5, one for PS4) and play together just fine.
  17. Late but I believe no one actually replied to your question, Gabe is still working for WWE.
  18. The timing really sucks much like in 2020 but this time it was to be expected unfortunately.
  19. Hollywood Hogan DDP Lex Luger Brian Pillman Wrath Harlem Heat Dean Malenko Eddie Guerrero
  20. Mortal Kombat 1 is seriously challenging for my favorite in the series. Easy 9/10, bordering on a perfect 10. Not going to provide story spoilers since it's still in early release, but as someone who personally didn't like MK11 at all even gameplay wise, this has exceeded all my expectations and then some. Just sooooo packed with kontent, Invasions mode is so much fun for a post story single player reprieve. I can see myself spending the next year grinding this without any issue whatsoever. EDIT: Thanks Blackman 😛
