  1. TEW 2016 doesn't have a tournament tracker or anything, so you basically plan it out either in your head, or Excel or on pen and paper or something and then book the matches in the game. Maybe put everyone in the tournament into a storyline. All the game really cares about with tournament titles is that they're on the line in a match the month they're supposed to be held, so just make sure to remember to put it on the line when you're booking the final match.
  2. Brilliant. Loving the CVerse '97 stuff in particular, but everything else is really good, too.
  3. Excellent. I actually thought about doing this myself but quickly realised I'd never have the patience to finish it. Looking forward to this!
  4. As long as you have people on written contracts, you could always give them the week off. You can do this by clicking on their morale on the roster screen and then clicking on the "Give time off" button at the bottom of the screen that pops up. On a side note, if you don't have your main eventers and future stars on written deals at cult, get on that as soon as possible.
  5. Hugh Laurie for second from the bottom. Or maybe Bryan Cranston? These look all right but with a bit of an uncanny valley effect, which is caused mainly by the natural looking face creases and texture suddenly changing into ultra smooth skin around the fringes.
  6. <p>Personality attribute:</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Vain</strong>: This worker is exceedingly preoccupied with and protective of their looks. They are much less likely to agree to lose their hair in a match, but slightly more willing to lose their mask.</p><p> </p><p> If the willingness to lose their mask can be or is tied to the mask's prestige, I'd probably have it something like much more willing for a mask with low prestige, somewhat more willing for one with middling prestige, and slightly more willing for a mask with high prestige. I don't think this should affect how much money they'd ask, though, as that could be determined by other attributes.</p>
  7. Can't see the picture, but I'd guess that they reached their skill cap and whenever they go above it, they gradually go back down to the cap.
  8. If a worker is set in the editor to regenerate without a picture, does that mean that their regen will use an applicable free picture instead?

So yeah, hard to say definitively because of the wording, but it's probably safe to assume it's only National and above.</p>

  11. Do developmental trainers have to be active wrestlers? Do they affect the skills of dev trainees based on what the trainer is good at? Would be it be prudent to send down someone with good entertainment skills as a trainer so that they could help the trainees develop their entertainment skills?
  12. Yeah, I had basically the exact same thing happen to me in my Cverse '97 game with 5SSW when my JoshiMania main event between Sensational Ogiwara and Crusher Ichihara scored a 67, which, while not terrible, was lower than I expected. Baffled, I took a look at the Dirt Sheet and IIRC it said something about the match being penalized because the crowd was very hot going into it. My takeaway from that was that, similarly to a Technical Masterclass, you need to cool the crowd down before a Spectacle match, maybe with a lesser match or one that has the Calm the Crowd match aim.
  13. Wow, all of this is really good stuff! Keep up the great work, it's making me also want to start all kinds of new saves. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

After every show, I go into my roster screen and use the "autopush" feature on my whole roster to take into account any popularity changes that may have happened in the last show. Are there any potential downsides to doing this?</p><p> </p><p> 2.) I have a basic angle where one of my ring announcers reads off the card for the show. I have the ring announcer on screen and the top 4 guys on the card off screen. Announcer is rated on microphone skill (which I have as pretty high) and the wrestlers on overness. Still, every time I run it I get a message saying "ring announcer looked dreadful" or "ring announcer did not come out of this looking good". Why is this happening? The angle gets anywhere from a B to A rating.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks in advance.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> 1) Not really. As far as I know, this is pretty standard practice and something that many people on these forums suggest you do. If you have someone bouncing between Opener and Lower Midcard who drops to Opener AND you use them a little too much (>10 minutes, I think) on the next show, you might get an overuse note, which might marginally hamper their popularity gains. On the other other hand, if you don't use autopush for a while, someone might take a morale hit if their pop grows and their push isn't adjusted accordingly. So yeah, keep autopushing everyone.</p><p> </p><p> 2) This is probably because your ring announcer figure isn't nearly as over as the wrestlers he/she is talking about in the segment and, in the game's understanding, comes out looking "bad". I wouldn't worry about it, especially since the angles get such high grades, anyway, and since a ring announcer isn't in any way a significant role in this game. If it truly concerns you, you could make them minor angles so they don't affect your show grade at all.</p>
  16. If I, as a touring company, offer someone a bonus per event in their contract, does that bonus only apply to big monthly/annual/special events, or do they get it for appearing on the small weekly tour events as well?

Trying to make WSU which has men vs woman a lot.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I don't think there's a product setting specifically for that, but you could just set the promotion to have integrated women's wrestling and book it as what is effectively a women's promotion with a men's division.</p>
  18. Brilliant. It kind of scares me how you're cranking out all this quality work at such a frantic pace, though I'm not complaining!
  19. Oh wow, excellent job, Poputt. I'm a huge fan of your renders in general and freaking adore your women, especially the 5SSW ones. Keep up the great job!

And if so, what determines if the gimmick rating improves? Good matches? Star quality? Something else?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yes, it can improve. If you go on the gimmick selection screen and click on the question mark on the current rating row, you'll get a window that explicitly explains how gimmicks work in the game.</p><p> </p><p> Here's a bit from the beginning:</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>When a gimmick is debuted it is given a lifespan - this is a hidden random value between six months and six years that indicates how long the gimmick can stay fresh. It is also given an initial rating and hidden upper and lower limits; these are also randomly created. While the gimmick is fresh, the rating will improve until it hits the upper limit. It will then stay there until the lifespan ends, after which it will slowly fall until it hits its lower limit. The player cannot see exactly when the gimmick is rising or falling, but can see clues (such as road agent notes or by seeing the rating change over time).</div></blockquote>
  21. <p>Are there hard caps to workers' maximum popularity in relation to promotion size and/or popularity?</p><p> </p><p> I'm asking because I'm running a recently-regional promotion and can't seem to get my main players above 41 popularity even though they have match ratings in the 60s and the odd one in the low 70s in performance > popularity product. The same thing happened at high small size when they stalled at 35 and immediately started going up when I reached regional. During my latter months at small I also had American Elemental II (35 pop) go over Acid (47 pop), which resulted, in addition to a furious Acid, in a pop gain of 0 for my guy and a loss from 47 to 43 for Acid.</p><p> </p><p> Or is it simply caused by the abysmal state of the wrestling industry, which is 26 and falling at the moment? My promotion's popularity is currently 32, if that matters at all.</p><p> </p><p> This isn't really a problem since I'm steadily growing anyway, but I am curious nonetheless.</p>
