  1. I haven't gotten to it just yet, booked Supreme Challenge yesterday and starting the slow burn. Jumbo returned as Aaron Jackson at SC40 to answer an open challenge by John Greed. The Crippler fought Joey Morgan at Supreme Challenge, it was one of the few times I actually wrote out the promos for it because this is where I'm starting his turn. The prelude to this is that Crippler took exception to a Morgan comment about him being over the hill after he lost his 3rd title match with Rocky Golden. Morgan lost a North American Championship tournament match to Bret Starr which led to this: Crippler wins a hard fought open match at Supreme Challenge then shakes Morgan's hand. Next Crippler is going to admit that Morgan had a point about him still wearing a suit and he needs to shed the weight of it if he's to realise his ambition before it's too late. He instructs the announcer to introduce him as 'The Crippler' Chris Morrisette and resumes his quest to be World Champion. Now I just need to figure out the timeline as I can't afford to wait too long in case they retire, but I'm hoping to do the Underwater (re)Union at either Christmas Clash or When Hell Freezes Over.
  2. Spencer Spade does look to be the canon guy for this role. If he becomes available, Aaron Knight definitely. No overness in USA but would be well worth it. His entertainment skills aren't up to scratch but I feel like Primus Allen could make it, great physical brawler with star quality, menace & can play both face & heel. In 2016 I was pushing him hard with USPW, ended up with 94 basics, 87 psychology & B- microphone & charisma. If you want someone that isn't ready yet but with the right training & destiny roll could be the guy for a John Cena length of time, Whole Lotta Marvin in development. Send him to the performance centre, give him a tag run with someone good and see how he goes. You could incorporate his real name, Jeff Waters. Captain Waters, Jeffrey Wrestling (I love hearing the Johnny Wrestling chant and this would fit it). Jefferson Stardust might be a similar clash but SWF has Kristen & Krissy, Joe & Joey and two Robbie's so they mustn't feel it's a big deal. Bit out of the box suggestion but if you're willing to give him a cartoony push you could keep Captain Wrestling and have him be the hero to Atom Smasher's villain. Captain Wrestling was an old friend & superhero colleague of Captain Atomic and he's come to SWF to atone for Smasher's misdeeds.
  3. I saw the AI do the exact same combo, although with a slightly more suited (but unoriginal) name
  4. I like the real vs fake feud idea; you could give Patriot a holiday and have Faith unknowingly teaming with Hijo. After some losses & miscommunications he's walking out when Patriot returns and sparks the feud with Faith not knowing who to trust. Once the feud is done you could change Hijo's name & either find an alt or change him to a free mask avatar and run a turncoat gimmick with him - American fans chose to support the inferior "Patriot" so he refuses to represent them. Maybe Hijo Del Águila Dorado (don't know Spanish so trusting Google with this one), Son of the Golden Eagle, so a Mexican patriot? Could do a Bret Hart kinda thing where he is treated as a bigtime face if you have any shows in Mexico.
  5. Great job, what headlined your 93 show? Majority of my show ratings now are scoring 82-85. Aside from one outlier (an awful 70 on my first show) I've actually seen very little fluctuation. Thanks everyone for their suggestions on my Crippler face-turn idea btw. I think I'm gonna follow the advice & mix them while leaning mostly on option 2. Jumbo Jackson has signed a written pay per show contract with a low downside so I can use him sparingly. He's going to wrestle under his real name. Crippler will solidify the face turn by saving him, wrestle under his real name & become World Champion. Scythe takes out Jackson, buries Crippler alive to win the title. Couple months later, Underwater (re)Union. I could have signed Cannonball Kid to go all-in on this but EILL offered him a good contract straight away and it wasn't worth a bidding war as once Crippler retires he'd be done.
  6. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Kingster" data-cite="Kingster" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47568" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>That was probably Adam Ryland adjusting the numbers for a new patch.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Figured as much, didn't spot it in the patch notes but looked again and see it now.</p>
  7. Anyone else's PPV buy rates fall off a cliff? They rose in March because I got a Mexican broadcast on board, no idea what happened in May though.
  8. Possibly more suited to tech support but I think workers are changing wrestling styles & body shapes too often and would suggest lowering the rate. Multiple times a week I seem to be seeing news items of 5 or 6 workers changing either size or style each time. (in case 'randomness frequency' is linked into this, I have it set at low)
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="rufas2000" data-cite="rufas2000" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47503" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>What's your secret? Those are great grades!</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I was especially shocked by the 92, I had gotten the repetitive booking warning beforehand as I forgot they had a TV match in January. Although it's not all good, Remo vs Valiant got a shocking 73 in the match beforehand.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="lr10540" data-cite="lr10540" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47503" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>When I was brainstorming ideas, it was to have Crippler finally become champion over Rocky at SC. Bruce would come out on some sort of appreciation type show like a birthday or something. Crippler piledrives him on a chair again. Golden runs him off for the save. We see Crippler taking out other babies that Golden has gotten close to (you'd have to build those relationships) and Crippler tells Rocky, take it from me... you either die the hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. He continues to play mind games with Golden, always getting the better of him and never getting outsmarted. <p> </p><p> Finally SC comes and Crippler beats him clean. In the midst of celebrating the realization of his dream, Rocky recovers enough to beat the hell out of him post match, getting out all the pent up frustration of the past number of months. He takes it too far and stops only when he hears the crowd begin to boo. He lived long enough to see himself become the villain. </p><p> </p><p> The you have Crippler as champ and Rocky in an interesting place. He can take time off to reevaluate his career and come back as a face, potentially apologizing and congratulating Crippler, or he can embrace the darkness and become a full fledged heel.</p><p> </p><p> But as I've always booked SWF, I want to go a different route for my first couple games.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That sounds like a great feud & a brilliant way to turn Rocky heel. I had intended on making Crippler the World Champion and with the ratings he's been getting he isn't giving me a choice. He's had 14 matches by the end of Master of Puppets and the lowest rating he's gotten is 76 and only 3 below 80.</p><p> </p><p> I have two ideas that I'm working on for it; 1) Jumbo Jackson is getting released by USPW. I bring him in as Jumbo Shrimp who is trying to convince Crippler to revive the Lobster Warrior. An attack by World Champion Des Davids on Shrimp finally turns Crippler as he defends his friend. He gets a title shot, enters the match in full Lobster Warrior gear and walks out as Champion.</p><p> 2) His impressive in ring performances lead to more and more fans naturally cheering him, he starts to lean away from The Crippler persona and going by his real name. He finally wins the title, then gets involved in a feud with Scythe which leads to a Buried Alive match. He loses and comes back a couple months later as Lobster Warrior.</p><p> </p><p> I feel like #1 would get a huge crowd reaction on the night but #2 does a better job of keeping true to the prestige of the title. Plus it puts the belt on Scythe in a way I think is guaranteed to make him top heel.</p>
  10. The Crippler vs Rocky Golden headlined my last 3 PPVs and scored 88, 89 & 92 consecutively. I kinda regret not making this my Supreme Challenge program.
  11. Thanks for those Golden renders, hadn't seen them before and really like them.
  12. No I'm with you, tbh I've never liked Rocky Golden and I'm not sure why. I don't really like the render or his name bizarrely. In fact, I've never booked him long term before and so far my booking of him is pretty bland. If I attempted to write a promo for him I would struggle. If anyone has a link to a diary that you enjoyed Rocky Golden in I'd appreciate it
  13. Wow that's a super show, fair play. Related to this but I haven't seen anyone mention; I signed Absolutely Flawless from 21CW and thanks to their TV deal the two lads gained USA popularity after I signed them to the point they're going to debut as Recognisable names already. So entering a bidding war for UK stars becomes a lot more reasonable now. Haven't signed any Aussies yet but The Melbourne Blondes & Maurice Jackson have both served me well in the past. Also Will Beaumont appears in the news feed constantly for me as he keeps winning internet awards.
  14. Some good ideas there. I just ran The World Is Watching headlined by The Crippler vs Rocky Golden who scored an 89. They got an 88 at Awesome Impact so I'm going to give Crippler one last chance at Master of Puppets, possibly in an I Quit or a Steel Cell match. The feud has basically been a re-run of Crippler vs Bruce that started 2016 with Crippler injuring Golden but Golden fighting through to retain the title. I had Remo go over Rogue & Valiant and will build to Remo vs Golden at Supreme Challenge. After losing to Golden, I just had Scythe beat up midcarders to build his momentum back up. At TWIW he teamed with John Greed against Faith & Old Glory but I ended it with him chokeslamming Greed after winning - my Scythe doesn't want to team with anyone, he's willing to hurt anybody in his path. I'm intending on having Scythe vs Valiant at Supreme Challenge and hopefully the win will put him over the top and take another run at getting a World title. The real star has been Des Davids - he accidentally became a Major Star after beating Lenny Brown and Steven Parker, I'm not sure how but now his promos are killing it. I had him win my Awesome Impact (MitB) match, he lost the North American title to Atom Smasher in a fatal-4-way at TWIW and is now embroiled in the Smasher vs Gilmore feud. I've not decided his opponent for SC40 yet, I'm thinking it might be Mikey Lau, Rogue & The Crippler with the Awesome Impact title shot on the line. At least that way if Davids' growth stalls I can move the push elsewhere easily.
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Lundinz" data-cite="Lundinz" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48077" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> This little group formed early on in my save.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I saw a very similar one myself but the AI disbanded them within a few days. In fact, I'm not sure they even made it to TV.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="clique.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/VDSLh4j/clique.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  16. <p>I've bought the game because I still enjoyed playing the demo but for the first time since finding this series I did deliberate over the decision. The game is fun to play, and I've already gotten hours out of it so I'm happy to buy it <em>but</em> I'm sincerely hoping that changes can still be made to the UI. Reintroduction of a Track Progress screen & sorting out the booking screen arrows (I try to book start to finish more in 2020 than I used to but when you do need to change it's the opposite of user-friendly) would be my most important fixes.</p><p> </p><p> I also really miss having grade images for skills & ratings; the colour change patch has helped but even as a longtime Football Manager player I loved using the grade-number combo images to quickly see what my wrestlers were good or bad at. I really hope these are re-introduced whenever the next TEW is made, even if it's only in as an extra screen</p>
  17. Speaking as someone who gave The Force a USPW World Championship run in 2017, I am totally behind this promotion
  18. This is something I'm struggling a lot with, I feel like I'm ignoring the entire bottom of the roster by focusing on the top & select midcard feuds to the point that when they're done I have no time left in Supremacy to fit in the rest. You start the game with only Chill as unimportant, by the end of March I have 8 wrestlers as unimportant and a good few Recognisables that could easily join them (and that's without signing or properly calling up anyone new). Perhaps I'm booking segments to run too long? Any matches I'd define as midcard are usually between 6 & 10 mins, bigger TV matches between 12 but mostly 15 mins to avoid the penalty, and most angles between 5 & 8 mins.
  19. Rocky Golden became Matty Faith's mentor. He has passed on his knowledge to Faith SEVEN times by week 3 in March.
  20. USPW signed Shooter Sean Deeley to a deal worth over $80k dollar a month. The very next day Adam Matravers signed for $150k. I am not looking forward to Valiant's contract talks in four months <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  21. In previous years with SWF I've created an Awesome Impact match, basically a 6-man TLC match for the World title. This year I don't feel that SWF's roster is strong enough to carry this without hurting the show's overall rating so I'm looking to adapt it into a MitB x TLC match, and expand it to an 8-man match. Who should be in it? The match will feature Remo, Valiant, Rogue, Brandon James, Mikey Lau & Des Davids. I have two more spaces and my top options are: -> Joey Morgan & Randy Unleashed (both men are feuding but could have a match elsewhere to fill out the PPV card) -> Ekuma (the match is heel heavy) -> Hollywood Bret Starr (not doing much else but I want to push) -> Primus Allen (see Bret Starr) The rest of the PPV will feature The Crippler vs Rocky Golden, Atom Smasher vs Angry Gilmore & Scythe vs Lenny Brown so that's why none of them are options.
  22. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="gtb321" data-cite="gtb321" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47503" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Is anyone else struggling to get wrestlers to the Major Star/Star perception ranking? Between them I only have 7 wrestlers with only being Major but only another save where I'm playing as my own company and SWF is AI controlled they have 5 Major Stars with another 8 stars. Am I missing something in terms of building up wrestlers?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Given how SWF start the game I wouldn't say you're struggling too much but just to make sure you haven't made the same mistake I did, with which patch did you start your SWF save and if it was before #7 have you used the "beta8" code to fix the momentum issue? I posted elsewhere about wrestlers losing lots of popularity in matches with nobody gaining it, leaving me with 2 Major Stars & only 3 Stars. I screenshot all of my shows, started a new save & booked the exact same thing and at the same point now have 4 Major Stars & 6 Stars so I assume that was the issue.</p>
  23. Apologies if this has been answered already but I've a question about developing worker skills, specifically asking about workers passing on skills to a protege. Rocky Golden took Matty Faith under his wing as a protege, three times in as many weeks I've gotten the backstage incident of Rocky passing on psychology tips to Matty but Faith's psychology stat is still the same as when the game started. Does it take longer for these boosts to develop into improved skills?

If your game started on an earlier patch then you can use the remote assistance code "beta8" in your save to correct it.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Good to know, see it in the patch notes now. Still going to try redoing it, some of the pop damage is already done & I'd rather not have to try fixing it. But at least I have this to fall back on</p>
