I'd like to run a long term story theme for Nicky Champion about 'that one guy I just can't beat' The one guy that has Champion's number and 99% of the time ends up with the victory much to the frustration of Champion. My question to you all is: Who should it be? There are several contenders for this role for me.<p> </p><p> 1. Gilmore - currently in a storyline with Champion and a heel. Plans are for him to take the title off of Champion(he doesn't really need it anymore, really).</p><p> </p><p> 2. Wolf Hawkins - currently a face playing a 'loner' type of character and in a storyline with Rich Money. Would take some time to eventually pull the trigger on an outright storyline feud with Champion.</p><p> </p><p> 3. Khoklov - The current USPW Monster giant and heel with manager Haley Buck. Currently responsible for feuding with the older guys to knock them down a bit popularity wise so the up and comers can feud and win over them(say hello, James Justice!).</p><p> </p><p> 4. Damien - AKA Hell's Bouncer a Heel managed by Emma Chase. My up and coming unstopable monster currently feuding with Rick Law to raise his popularity. Currently a Midcard act but on the rise. </p><p> </p><p> There are others of course: Valentine, Roger Cage, Frehley, Brandon Smith, Findlay O'Farraday, Joss Thompson, etc. So I am completely open to whomever takes the spot of Champion's foil, I have no favorites here.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> If you want great match grades you gotta go with Gilmore(unless he's in time decline) or Hawkins!</p>

The elements for the storyline have been running for a while.<p> Bruce won the Royal Rumble event in May to cement his main event match vs Remo at SC36. Bruce wins his 7th world title.</p><p> The EisenPower get to work on taking down the icon. Eric Eisen (having an absolutely bitchin' run, atm), Remo, Marat Khoklov, Hellion & Primus Allen all want to take our Bruce, with Emma Chase leading them.</p><p> Bruce holds on to the title for a few PPV's and then, to a complete shock, challenges Angry Gilmore to a throwaway match on Supreme for the IC Title and wins. Vacates the belt the next week. Claims he doesn't need both titles, he just wanted to show he could do it.</p><p> Bruce loses the World Title in a fatal 4 way at Halloween Havoc PPV to Eric Eisen. In a space of a few weeks, Bruce has gone from holding 2 titles to holding none and maybe he's not as invincible as he thought. Supreme following PPV, Khoklov decimates Bruce in an angle and then obliterates a debuting Champagne Lover. Lover is the new rockstar and next figurehead of the company. Bruce isn't in decline but he feels that maybe he can't get it done anymore...</p><p> </p><p> So, apologies for the huge preface, but how do you book a heel Jack Bruce? In your own game or ideas for a help in mine?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> You could book him like Hollywood Hogan. Bring in two main eventers (outsiders) from other companie(s) who start "invading" SWF and then hint at a third member, ultimately being Bruce.</p>
  6. <p>3rd & 4th Horsemen</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="TheZies" data-cite="TheZies" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>So as I was working on the story for building my 1998 new Horsemen in WCW ... freakin' Buff Bagwell hurts Scott Steiner's neck. He was going to chase the tag titles (as in Story the Outsiders "injured" Rick and took the belts from him) ... do I need to almost write the horsemen angle off and send Scott on vacation to heal or let him wrestle poorly or replace him.....<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> in the story, I'm pushing Flair back to chasing the World title ... so he can make that chase without the Horsemen, and DDP is fine by himself</p></div></blockquote><p> You could just go with Booker T and Stevie Ray, Sting and Luger?, Rick Steiner and Malenko? I think I'd go with some sort of established tag team as the 3rd and 4th members(or at least two workers with great chemistry to make into a tag team).</p>
  7. <p>Piper & raven</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="BigINMoldova" data-cite="BigINMoldova" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41174" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Started my own company in '95. They're two of the best wrestling promos ever Just put them together for at least one promo.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I believe they worked together in Portland, Piper hired Raven to be the announcer and he became Snotty Scotty.</p>
  8. <p>New Syndicate</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KnowYourEnemy" data-cite="KnowYourEnemy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I'd start with Huggins, Arsenal and Wolf Hawkins in the stable. As for the fourth member: <p> 1) If a Heel holds the secondary title, I'd put the holder in the group. Marc Speed would be a good fit. The Syndicate was defined through their own title victories, not necessarily members itself -- you don't need four guys with ties to it, just four dominant workers. </p><p> I'd make sure the group holds either the Midcard Belt, The World Title or the Tag Team Belt when plausible -- barring that, putting them in contention. If you don't go with Speed as the fourth member, I'd have Arsenal and the "fourth man" go for the World Tag Team Titles under the "New Machines" moniker. </p><p> 2) The "fourth man" will also be a great way to bring in /bring up a new worker. Xavi Ferrera is a great hand and will improve your backstage rating. I would also consider Ernest Youngman, Joffy Laine or Chris Flynn for the role. Greg Gauge would work here too. </p><p> 3) Another possibility would be to "re-package" the Canadian Party Animals into the The Syndicate. Vita is your best manager and guarantees your female:male ratio doesn't become unbalanced. Remember in all this The Horsemen were the template for the Syndicate, so "canon" can be stretched to include the real-life horsemen -- and the Horsemen [sometimes] had valets in WCW.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'm leaning towards Speed, and The Elite with possibly Jay Chord or Greg Gauge and Sam Keith as a mentor/manager type figure to specifically help with promos for Speed.</p><p> </p><p> As far as the name of the stable, Wolfpack, The Pack, Syndicate II, New Syndicate, Millenium, something else?</p>
  9. <p>Malice aftermath</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KnowYourEnemy" data-cite="KnowYourEnemy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The easiest thing here is to have Kholklov injure Golden after the Title Match and build to a Kholklov-Golden match next month. Show Rocky in video packages, hold a tribute to him next night. <p> </p><p> I'd personally go with an intentional count-out loss for Andrews and have Kholklov powerbomb Golden through the stage. </p><p> </p><p> Pair Kholklov with a manager.</p><p> </p><p> I'd consider the "Fast Buck" Floyd Goldworthy. I think he starts with The Behemoths Shark and Titan, but if not, they make natural sense here. Have the "suspended" Behemoths interfere on Kholklovs behalf in the PPV encounter -- sort of a "match/angle" or an "angle/match" with a beatdown afterwards. Then, Rocky would "swear revenge" on Goldworthy, and go through Titan, then Killer Shark, and finally defeat Kholklov -- I'd have Kholklov get a tainted win in the first match, Rocky win the rematch and the feud -- leading to a rubber match a few months down the road. </p><p> </p><p> Have Joshua Taylor defeat Wolf Hawkins in the feud. Unless you want to turn Hawkins face -- either way, the winner should emerge as the "next challenger" for Andrews. Johnson can be a good "stopgap" challenger after he goes over Buffalo, but he's likely on severe Time Decline and not that good in the ring -- maybe have the two headline a TV episode for the title? </p><p> </p><p> Bach likely is your best overall hand -- far superior to Rocky -- and barring Time Decline, could be your company ace. However, Andrews will likely only have held the belt for a couple months/few defenses, so Bach should lose their initial matchup -- but not clean. Either have Andrews cheat or have the Taylor/Hawkins loser "interfere" -- with them winning on TV and building momentum. </p><p> </p><p> I'd field an interim challenger until Rocky Golden finishes his feud with Kholklov. Some names to consider: Troy Tornado, Eddie Peak, Jay Chord, Elmo Benson and Human Arsenal. Chance Fortune, Andrews former partner, is capable of doing the job -- whoever you chose, remember to build their pop and momentum. I'd have Chance Fortune challenge Andrews, have him lose with a "screwy referee finish" on TV and schedule a PPV rematch. </p><p> </p><p> At this point, you can have Andrews drop the strap -- he'll have held it four-five months and have 4-5 defenses. You can then schedule either the Title Change or Title Rematch for Total Mayhem. Rocky and Bach will both have won feuds, be over and have momentum. I'd chose the one you want as the "face of the company" and turn the other -- a lot depends on variables. If Bach is over enough and can avoid time decline, he's clearly superior to Rocky in this position.</p><p> </p><p> After that, go straight into the Golden-Bach money fued.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks, incredibly helpful.</p><p> </p><p> I went with the intentional countout and Khoklov attack on Golden just like you suggested. Goldworthy's with AmBuffalo so he could easily also manage Khoklov.</p><p> </p><p> I'm going to feud Golden with Khoklov and I'm going to give RDJ a last shot at the World Title against Andrews, he's in Time Decline but only 1-2 years. Right now, I'm leaning towards him winning it after putting his career on the line and losing it back shortly after winning it. </p><p> </p><p> On the Total Wrestling following Malice, Fortune did challenge Andrews and lost. Andrews continued with a postmatch beatdown until RDJ made the save. later on RDJ went on a rant that Andrews was an embarassment as World Champion because of the intentional DQ and his typical heel conduct.</p><p> </p><p> I like the Bach-Golden money feud idea down the line and maybe throwing Andrews back into the mix as well. Strangely, Freddy Huggins is putting up some high 80s match ratings as a midcarder, so he's definitely got my attention.</p><p> </p><p> I also hinted at Wolf Hawkins reaching out to Human Arsenal in an attempt to reform his own version of The Syndicate, but so far Arsenal(face) wants nothing ot do with that...</p><p> </p><p> If I did go with a New Syndicate or Syndicate II who would you put in the stable? Hill is 5 years into time decline, Human Arsenal is not in decline, Sam Keith is running MAW and is a road agent in PSW. I suppose he could be signed on a PPA deal as a manager type for the stable. Greg Gauge is a possibility(current MAW champ), Matthew Keith is in Japan and unavailable so far. Jay Chord fits in my mind...maybe Bryan Vessey as the enforcer(veteran) of the group. Any other ideas?</p>
  10. <p>Malice In Wonderland 2016</p><p> </p><p> I've arrived at Malice In Wonderland after 1 month of booking TCW as Rocky Golden.</p><p> </p><p> My main dilemma is how to debut Khoklov who I signed earlier in the month but has only wrestled some dark matches. I was thinking of him somehow affecting the outcome of the World Title match between Champion Andrews and Rocky Golden. Any suggestions? Should Andrews retain the title? How?</p><p> </p><p> Other storylines</p><p> </p><p> RDJ will defeat American Buffalo and end their feud.</p><p> Bach will come out on top in his feud with Vessey, eventually.</p><p> </p><p> The Behemoths are going to face The New Wave for the Tag Titles. The plan is for the Behemoths to lose due to Killer Shark getting rage DQ'd. The Behemoths brutalize the New Wave so badly that they are suspended and stripped of their belts.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Another dilemma-</p><p> </p><p> Should I have Joshua Taylor come out on top in the feud vs Wolf Hawkins?</p><p> Taylor could be very useful if he was more popular, but Hawkins might be needed to face Golden next...</p>
  11. <p>Savage Horseman?</p><p> </p><p> I'm at Halloween Havoc '95</p><p> </p><p> Team Hogan beat Team Dungeon at the last PPV with Luger getting the pin on Sullivan. Sullivan signed for WWF and left. Luger has been repeatedly getting pins when tagging with Hogan. Luger celebrated with the fans after a main event win prompting Hogan to complain about Luger showboating and Luger arguing back that Hogan always showboats, eventually having a pull apart brawl. </p><p> </p><p> Now Halloween Havoc features Flair vs Hogan. Tully Blanchard surprisingly appears as Arn Andersen's partner in a match against The NAsty Boys.</p><p> </p><p> So, I've been teasing a Luger turn bigtime but in reality always planned to turn Savage against Hogan but now I'm not sure exactly how I want to do it.</p><p> </p><p> Do the 4 Horseman reform to help Flair win the strap from Hogan? Previously Pillman was teaming with Andersen and somewhat become an unofficial Horseman. Do I have Luger come to the ring to distract Hogan or save him from the Horseman and then have Savage turn? join the Horseman?</p><p> </p><p> How would you do it? Could you see Savage as a Horseman?</p>
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="FankuKaibutsu" data-cite="FankuKaibutsu" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It's been about a year since someone was kicked out of the Four Horsmen and replaced by a new member, so it's about time someone was kicked out of the Four Horsemen and replaced with a new member. the question is: Who?<p> </p><p> Lex Luger - Lex Luger joined the Horsemen in early 1987, cementing his membership by winning the US title off of Nikita Koloff in may. He lost the title in September, due to injury, and was kicked out of the Horsemen for being unable to win the title back. Since then, he's been tearing through the Horsemen, 1 by 1, and winning the US title back on the side, culminating with an unsuccessful World Title shot against Ric Flair. The reasoning behind having him re-join the Horsemen is that after beating the rest, and almost beating Flair, he's proved he has what it takes to be a Horesman. This could also lead to a lengthy feud with His Friend Sting, leading to Sting vs Flair at next year's Starrcade.</p><p> </p><p> Curt Hennig - After the collapse of the AWA Hennig was brought in as The Perfect Competitor, defeating Bruiser Brody in his first match, and going on a win streak for the rest of the year, including a lengthy feud against Ted DeBiase and his Million Dollar Mercenaries. Hennig has both the skills, and personality, to make a good Horseman. The drawback, and the same drawback as Luger, is that there's a lack main event and upper-midcard faces in the company, and turning him, or Luger, would make things even more imbalanced.</p><p> </p><p> Jerry Lalwer - He currently works for CWA, but was brought in during the fall of 1988 to feud with Flair. While his run was intended to fill time between The Great American Bash and the buildup to Starrcade, Flair and Lawler ended up putting on the best match so far at Halloween Havoc. I could bring him in full time as a surprise new member.</p><p> </p><p> Eaton - Despite their skill and popularity, both The Midnight Express and The Rock And Roll Express have kind of gotten lost in the shuffle. Bobby Eaton has put on stand-out performances every time he gets in the ring, and it may be time to break him away from Stan Lane in a singles run.</p><p> </p><p> Johnny Ace - Johnny Ace has spent most of the past 2 years in a moderately successful tag team with The Barbarian. Ric Flair took him on as a protege and Ace has grown by leaps and bounds as a performer. He's currently slated for a singles push, and joining the Horsemen would be a strong move in making him a star.</p><p> </p><p> Shane Douglas - Another of Flair's proteges. He's currently working with Terry Taylor inn the totally radical tag team Dudes With Attitudes. He's actually a slightly better worker than Ace.</p><p> </p><p> Kendall - The third of Flair's proteges. He's not as skilled in the ring as Ace and Douglas, or as charismatic, and he doesn't have the star power... Y'know what? scratch this idea. Moving on.</p><p> </p><p> Dean Malenko - He may not be charismatic, but he's exceptionally skilled in the ring, which is the most important part of being a Horseman. He recently won a tournament to crown a new Junior Heavyweight champion. Malenko joining the Horsmen would not just do wonders for his popularity, but would help bring importance to the Junior Heavyweight division.</p><p> </p><p> Shawn Michaels - Initially brought in for the above mentioned Junior Heavyweight tournament, his exceptional performance has earned him a full-time contract. He's the opposite of Malenko, in what he lacks in the ring he makes up for in charisma and presence.</p><p> </p><p> Scott Hall - Scott has been queitly putting on great matches in the undercard and pre-show since early 1987, in between tours of Japan. Earlier in 1988 he was brought in full-time to be a part of The Million Dollar Mercenaries, though this has mostly amounted to being the 4th man in eight-man tag matches, and jobbing to other tag teams with fellow mercenary Ron Bass. He has everything it takes to be a Horseman, but he'd have to do something about the mustache, though.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I'd go with Hennig. He could be billed as "the future leader" of the Horsemen and he fits style-wise with the Horsemen mold.</p>

  14. <p>Martel or Bockwinkle?</p><p> </p><p> I (Verne Gagne) am coming into the March '85 Supercard and these are my big matches-</p><p> </p><p> 1. World Title- Bockwinkle (heel Champ) vs Martel (former babyface champ)</p><p> </p><p> Martel lost the title at the January Supercard to Bockwinkle. Bockwinkle beat Martel in the rematch with a foreign object.</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure who to put over here. Martel is my most popular wrestler, reallygood in the ring and really good on the mic and getting better in both. Bockwinkel is fantastic on the mic but he's 50 years old and losing a few steps in the ring. My concern with putting the strap back on Martel is that he gets too big of an ego backstage because he's still young (28) to be 'the man" for the AWA. Bockwinkel is slipping but he can last another 3-6 months as the Champ if needed. If Martel loses I might have him change his focus to tag team possibly forming the Can-Am Connection with Tom Zenk.</p><p> </p><p> 2. Sgt Slaughter vs Chris Markoff w/Sheik Adnan Al-Kheissey</p><p> </p><p> typical USA vs USSR feud, Slaughter will win</p><p> </p><p> 3. 'The Best Wrestler In the World" Feud</p><p> </p><p> Larry Zybyzko claimed he was the GOAT wrestler and Bob Backlund challenged him. They're tied 1-1</p><p> </p><p> Backlund is a little better in the ring and more popular, Zybyzko is better on the mic</p><p> </p><p> The winner of this feud depends somewhat on the winner of Bockwinkle/Martel.</p><p> </p><p> If Bockwinkle wins he'll probably feud with Slaughter or Backlund for the World Title. If Martel wins I'll need Zybyzko to win to make him more popular and ready to feud with Martel for the World Title.</p><p> </p><p> 4. World Tag Team Title - Legion of Doom vs The Fantastics</p><p> </p><p> The Legion of Doom have been dominating the tag ranks and now face off against the hot new babyface team of The Fantastics, Stan Lane and Steve Keirn.</p><p> </p><p> SO, my question is who would you put over in the World Title match and why?</p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#FF0000;">Martel or Bockwinkle????</span></p>

  16. I usually bring in two or three outsiders using an alliance loan and I also usually have an up and comer win the tourney, especially if they're on the next big thing list.
  17. building up to WrestleFest first time playing as booker (RickyDeColt)of CGC. Main feud has been Gargantuan vs Jack, with Alex getting involved. Gargantuan got rage DQ'd vs Jack in the Feb. PPV and Jack has been limited to cutting promos in anticipation of their rematch which will end up at the festival. Dalay got a tainted win over Price at the Feb PPV, Thrill Seeker did the same over RIcky. Zeus turned heel, beating up his partner Grayson saying he was holding him back from his destiny, and that the gods have told him it's his time NOW. The Predators eeked out a tainted win over The Dirty White Boys and are now pushing as midcarders. White Boys will probably win the feud and the Titles for one last reign as Lead Belly just entered time decline. Blockbuster has had a number of squashes and now pushes(prematurely to my liking ) as an upper mid Canadian Champ, but is avoiding the challenge of Bobby Thomas and his new manager, Faith. I've done a lot of meddling and gained a number of strong friendships between planned long-term employees. I signed Prometheus to a new ppa contract that allows him on all shows and he's squashing local jobbers on the B show. Had a 2 hour B show on the same network as the A show but lowered it back to 1 hour after i suffered a large financial loss in February. Ryan Powell was jobbed out and his contract expired, resigned Phillip LaGrenier.
