  1. As some may have seen in the random screenshots thread, Hulk Hogan got into a scandal 1 week before Wrestlemania III for mocking the disabled. This turned him toxic. His popularity dropped from 99 to 80 (not as bad as I thought) and his impact as figurehead reduced substantially (from 17% attendance boost and 60% merch boost, to 2% and 5% respectively) ...add to this, the fact that he is toxic he would cause a big attendance drop + merch losses (presumably) on top of that. It left me with a decision to make. I had 7 days to decide whether to release Hogan without any cost. 7 days to decide on changing the history of WWF in an instant.

This was disastrous. I had recently turned Piper heel. Jake Roberts constantly turns up and wrestles drunk. Ricky Steamboat is my Intercontinental Champion, but he's not really got the "it" factor to make him my main guy. My Wrestlemania main event was already set as Hogan vs. Savage after Randy attacked Andre and put him out injured. I decide no matter what, Hogan has to lose the title to Savage. He does, but due to the popularity decrease the main event is nowhere near what it could of been. The attendance was 92,000...imagine what it might of been of toxic Hulk wasn't here.

Monday arrives. Today's the day I have to make my decision. Hogan's gone and the future of WWF is changed forever. I couldn't pay that much money to someone who is going to so negatively affect the company for the between 6 months and 2 years. Maybe one day he'll be back, but for now I need to find a new way forward. That way will be Randy Savage. A face turn is set for the next show, and he will feud with Andre. Randy finally gets to come out of Hogan's shadow, and be the man who carries WWF on his back.

You just sold the game for me... that is awesome.

I adjust my tie as I wait for my cab to arrive. My hands are shaking and my forehead all ready covered in a layer of sweat. Its funny some people hate nerves, not me, I love them. Nerves keep me on edge, they keep me focused. They keep me ready. F'm preparing for I'll need to be more focused than I have ever been before.

Over the phone Dusty had prepared me for everything I should know about the place. We met in a bar in Florida after he had a NWA event, I happened to be in town and wanted to talk to him. Five minutes was all I needed for me to convince him that I'm the man for the job. All I asked for was low grade announcer gig but what I wanted was control of the company, hell control of the whole damn business. I never told 'Dream' this but he could see it in my eyes and its probably what gave me the gig. The passion that a kid like me had that others didn't, as I grew more determined the rest grew bitter and complacent.

I'll be just an announcer sure, but I'm in the company and that's all I need. I have no issue stabbing anyone in the back, no issue being morally incorrect and no issue creating controversy. I will do anything to get what I want, I mean as 'Dream' said:

I was thinking about the main event and what way they are going to go with it. I have Fin in retaining and the introduction of Bulletproof leading to a distraction win. 6. Okay so the entire roster come down to join the brawl between Reigns and HHH yet they don't come down to Shane and Taker the feud that effects them directly. My biggest hatred of the rise of the Roman Empire is the use of the rest of the roster as meaningless props. The Uso's make sense sure, Ambrose sure, League of Nations sure but it should have been Roman vs HHH without the roster. Perhaps Roman spears Steph on accident making the feud even more personal and hinting at a turn from both guys. ATM with the injuries and silly booking decisions WWE's Heavyweight division is looking much much worse to TNA's, and after all these years that is surprising.
