  1. Awesome! Can't wait to try this. Downloading now. I've been doing a deep dive into wrestling history since quarintine so I may be up on a lot of the promotions and stars.
  2. <p>I'm not with my game at the moment but I'm playing the Killing the Buisness mod as MLW. MLW offers me the chance to see a lot of new features, especially the block tv tapings which I will do a lot of when the retro mods come out.</p><p> </p><p> The product setting allows me to have short matches without penalty. But matches over 15 minutes lose the crowd. This is like the opposite of how I booked in past games. I can now do a 7 minute main event on TV and still get a score that improves my stats. It's a game changer for me. I really hate have matches capped under 20 minutes year after year after year.</p><p> </p><p> I'm thinking about becoming Herb Abrams booker for UWF now. I could finally run an accurate portrayal of that style and not have to cheat it to get good stats.</p><p> </p><p> Also I play with all rules and obsticals because the challenges are more fun.</p><p> </p><p> Lots of people complaining about product settings but the balance is great. For example... Yes NJPW does have a comedy match on most shows, but it isn't getting over 3 1/2 stars from Meltzer very often is it?</p><p> </p><p> Or how about when WWF would book Tiger Mask in the 80's. He was awesome sure and his flying stats would be super high but that wouldn't make him a star alone would it? Did it?</p><p> Same with Dynamite Kid.</p><p> </p><p> Just because you'll get a penalty for certain booking doesn't mean you can't use them to your advantage. For example. Of you are going to get penalized for a comedy match, put it before a technical masterclass to try and enhance the quality of the more important masterclass. You may need to cool the crowd for that aim to get over anyway.</p>
  3. Sleect any wrestler from the roster page. "Major star" "star" "well known" "recognizable" "unknown" are the perception.
  4. <p>I will certainly be playing this! Thanks!</p><p> </p><p> Just going to wait a few more days for you to feel more completed! (and the game too, too much variance on stats and results from the game for me to invest my time into a new save).</p>
  5. Adam would you please consider adding some detailed info on match aims in the help log? I can't imagine being new the the series and not having any help on this. Still hard to grasp even after years of playing 2016.
  6. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=543208 Check that out. There will be variances on match aims and mach lenth requirements for 2020 that will change some of this slightly. Match aims are a struggle when learning TEW but try and not get too frustrated.
  7. I am playing as MLW btw... really enjyoing the mod. Almost "hitting the bottom" as far as workers go. Do you have plans to expand the mod in the future? I think you have a great heads up on what could be the definitive modern day mod. I am very confused about MLW's broadcasters, for events. I am making wayyyy too much money from my PPV's. I feel like even for TEW. Perhaps this is an issue with the game now but I could see it being the stats as well.
  8. To the OP, go to the 2016 forum or search my post history for one of my several threads on MATCH AIMS. If you want to play the game proper you have to learn how to manage the crowd from begining to end. This is quite complicated and further complicated by the new product system for 2020. If you want you can turn off CROWD MANAGEMENT in the settings and you won't have to worry about the pros and cons of MATCH AIMS.
  9. Man this year's game must've been really popular. Looks like a lot of people who've not played Adams games before have caught on. LOL Poor souls.

It's playable sure, but there are so many things wrong with TEW 2020.<p> </p><p> - finances are all over the place. Seriously, they are an absolute mess.</p><p> - no scrolling on numerous screens</p><p> - have to click on each and every individual skill to track its progress</p><p> - the listing of skills is an eye sore. Check out slim Jim's design to see it done properly</p><p> - can't edit retirements/hiatuses using the in game editor</p><p> -AI booking is ludicrously repetitive (the same tag team match 17 times in a row, really?)</p><p> -etc</p><p> </p><p> The list could go on and on. I can only pray that patches continue to be released regularly, as in its current state, the game simply isn't up to scratch.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Are you playing Cornelleverse or a mod?</p>

  12. WOW Thanks Adam and the rest of the team. You have delivered something much more on point and intuitive than the demo originally presented. I feel like with every TEW it takes some time for my eyes to adjust and it's easy to get burnt out visually. But I've spent hours of the day playing my first promotion. So thankful for adjusted incomes, attendance, finance and especially the ability to do blocks of tapings.
  13. I get a note that says pre booking doesn't affect companies small or below.
  14. In defense of one of your critiques. When it comes to the ratings for Raw and Smackdown... 1. The ratings in TEW will never been "accurate" to fully emulate what we see for real. 2. The gap that you see in your game is a fair representation of what big ratings for a channel like Fox with so much deeper penetration than USA, while a huge cable station is not a network like Fox. The only way to program the game would be that a WWE show on Fox in the same time slot as a cable show on USA would get much higher ratings for the show on Fox.
  15. Can someone explain to me skills? I see two different numbers. I'm playing the Killing the Buisness Mod and I'm looking at Warhorse whose Brawling is 40-80. What can I expect and how do I figure?
  16. I don't know why but a week into my game and Dave Prazak became owener and head booker of AEW. LOL
  17. I played your MOD during the BETA and the stats I saw looked promising. This is in my opinion the mod to play during launch today, congrats and THANK YOU!

Even came up with the name! He let me take over when life got in the way (I think that's what happened... Been so long), & now I've let Jaysin do the same for the same reason. I hope he's having as much fun putting it together as I did for TEW 2013. I think my favorite part was taking after Fleisch & writing the backstories behind the various alter egos for workers, much like he (Fleisch... pronouns, pal) did for Real World Chronicles.<p> </p><p> Has it really been that long since I first worked on this? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> As far as favorite things that occurred when I played the data back on TEW 2013, I always left He-Man active because I thought it was hilarious when World Class would sign him.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I am not sure which territory I am going to take hold of for my first game. AWA is possbile, maybe WCCW but I don't know if I want to deal with the locker room lol.</p>
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jericho Rules" data-cite="Jericho Rules" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47578" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I meant that the way TV shows were produced in the 80s were very different from what we have now. They were studio shows that drove to live events without PPVs. Mainly, that the TV was designed specifically to build to the house shows that people would go out to. So, the purpose of TV wasn't to see outstanding matches or to build to PPVs but to sell tickets to house shows. That is why the focus of the TV was building stars through squash matches and building feuds with promos.<p> </p><p> Match quality, in that case, shouldn't be as important to the overall rating of the show if we were simulate that correctly, as the show, historically, should just be squash matches with the occasional match between stars every few months.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I think that depending upon your product setting and in game rules you can emulate this quit well.</p>
  20. To gazwefc83, you have done some really great detailed work on this mod, it's really ahead of where I expected it to be at this point. But it's also letting me know a few things... You (or any mod maker) cannnot know how to make a mod for this game yet. Why? The game isn't complete. It's still such a work in progress to play a database that wasn't created by the developer is like running up hill with a 25lbs backpack on. I'll tell you that once the game is solid and then a few months of playing your mod and development, this is likely the real word mod I will go to. I keep getting too frustrated with the incomplete game that's out right now and so I'm going to back off for a couple of weeks and see where things stand when I return. I'm sure with the release we will still have weeks or months of updates on the game.
  21. There is no way to have finished mod out this early. You can get a taste of what to expect but it's going to take a bit of time to get stats adjusted to the new game. I want it as bad as anyone but lets be real. Every real world mod I've downloaded is jaded by opinion, it's rushed too soon. That be the booker site is filled with unfinished mods claiming to be complete.
  22. I love how star power can affect real change. I'm playing a real world mod and NXT was getting smashed by AEW and immediately they put Lesnar on NXT and now they are a bit ahead of AEW. Great call AI!
  23. Two issues I am having. With every game I've started (5+) Cornellverse and Mods, stables are constantly being shuffled and eliminated within the first weeks of the game. When viewing match results it from the main screen under LAST NIGHTS RESULTS, could you add an arrow button to scroll through the different tapings? It would be more intuitive to scroll through a nights set of tapings rather than clicking the X button to close the screen and then click another set of tapings to view the results.
  24. Thank you so much! From my mind to your fingers to the screen! Brilliant, thank you! I also appreciate the TV logo! That's fantastic! Sometime all you gotta do is ask!
