  1. When I was an editor tester on tew 2005 I had to sign an nda about the processes and work etc that lasts for 18 months so people would not be able to talk about it so no point having them tagged for me
  2. I feel it could create unconscious bias and don't really see any need for it tbh I agree with powerful_fox
  3. Just a quick word on this.. got wwf into a playable state and ecw and wcw nearly there so progress is being made.. ideally like to be in a decent position to run some long term tests with the main game release
  4. Im pretty sure also the reason Adam did it this way was partly because from looking at real world mods most people were using one of the presets in 2016 anyways.. very few people used a custom setup.. Honestly for me I didn't like the way products were done in 2016 with the max and min of everything etc it was for me over complicated and I know others who felt this way. For me the preset products works
  5. I have to disagree there..if Adam didn't care about mods he would not be putting in half the stuff he is. He would just need enough products etc for the cverse promotions and not need to add in the numerous others (even putting in the ability to search a real life fed for a list of narrowed down products). At the end of the day he has said that products will stay as they are..if people don't like that then it would be up to them whether to buy i guess. The more I play and edit the more I come to love this game.. could not even pick up 2016 now so much has changed for the better imo
  6. Honestly can't even remember what you were talking about it was fifteen years ago and had no bearing on my previous statement. I enjoy both cornellverse ( as that id how the game was intended) and some real world mods although some do rate workers too highly which impacts the balance of the game.. like historical mods with future workers coming in with prime stats etc
  7. Not at all it was a generalisation that there are members here who are will take the opportunity to criticise regardless of what Adam does and will seemingly never be happy. The game is made in Adams vision and if people really don't like it then they are not forced to buy it. I personally feel all the new features make it an even better game than 2016 and can't wait for full release
  8. From working on my own mod I don't really see the issue people are having with products....I cannot really see any there that don't fit a company in one way or another I also don't really get the hyperbole around the editor it feels like people are just not giving themselves time to adjust to it.. lots of quicker ways to do things etc. You say less customisation and less realism but even the attributes massively contradicts what you are saying as they can make characters from the real world more close to real life. The thing I keep seeing mentioned is people saying they weren't consulted etc..the mod is not a community effort of course not everyone could be asked their opinion. I just feel some people and their constant complaints about every facet are getting a little silly and very much coming off self entitled to me
  9. Can you clarify what you mean by limited.. the mdb file is password protected so it can't be edited outside of the editor in game as far as I'm aware as it could cause errors or problems
  10. Main post updated with progress (also outlined below).
  11. I have to say after spending more and more time in the editor doing my mod im getting more and more used to it and I feel it works great.. only thing I'd like is sliders for stats come back so it is easier to alter them.. other than that although I was put off initially I now love everything being in drop down rather than how it was on 2016
  12. Cheers I amended this after the picture and added Desperado. Going through each worker and filling in personality I cannot help but feel some people will be dead early doors like Sandman, Hawk etc haha
  13. Been playing about with some attributes and things RVD Terry Funk New Jack
  14. January 1997 – The War Rages On This is a mod I have been working on over the past few weeks on TEW2016 and will be looking to release this for TEW2020. It is initially based on the awesome 1996 data released by BurningHamster so full props to him. At the moment I have no ETA as it is just a spare time project but once it is in a state I am initially happy with I will likely release a beta. I am also open to suggestions about things. Setting the scene WCW is storming the ratings and WWF are finding it a real struggle to build new stars so are looking to take on an edgier product to try and attract a different differential. In real life WWF barely hung on as WCW won the ratings for a full year. What is going on now WCW: The NWO are running roughshod led by Hollywood Hulk Hogan and flanked by The Outsiders. The group is becoming a mammoth group now including referee Nick Patrick and Eric Bischoff. Sting is currently in a difficult place and people are not quite sure which side he is on as he has classified himself as a free agent. He has not actually wrestled since Fall Brawl 1996 after being doubted by best friend Lex Luger. This has seen a metamorphosis of the Sting character with him becoming much more dark and broody and carrying a baseball bat when he does appear. The Giant was only in the NWO for a cup of coffee as he has now turned face for his first ever face run. He has his eyes set on Hogan’s World title. Roddy Piper is in the mix, the Four Horsemen are feuding with the Dungeon of Doom and the cruiserweights are tearing it up… WWF: Shawn Michaels is far and away the top babyface in the company and heading into the Royal Rumble set to be at the Alamodome he is number one contender to the World title. Sycho Sid is the man holding that belt but is receiving a very luke warm reception from the fans. Someone who is not receiving that is Steve Austin. After Ted DiBiase left the former Ringmaster went on to win the King of the Ring and is seen as the number 2 heel in the company showing a much edgier attitude. He is feuding with recently returned Bret Hart. With Austin beginning to get cheered and Hart being more heelish this would in real life lead to the WrestleMania double turn from the two. The company is really struggling at building stars but have a solid undercard talent including Goldust, Marc Mero, Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Mankind. Elsewhere there are a number of promotions that could be great to play as including ECW with their first PPV deal on the horizon, although they are fresh off the Mass Transit incident. Any help or suggestions on products would be great as I am still trying to find my feet with the new game. So as you can see lots done but lots still to do so if anyone would like to offer help or suggestions in this thread then feel free. Cheers
  15. When doing a TV show broadcasting deal in the editor I'm a little confused about the boxes in relation to broadcaster and company cost.. the handbook doesn't really help. Is that a percentage I write in the box or is it an actual figure..if it is the latter what sort of ball park figures should be used as there is no guidance whatsoever
  16. Surely this has to be a bug ..I can understand talking to workers that are free agents but risk companies is a bit silly. It is like if in football manager as man utd manager you could just speak to mo Salah and tell him to stop cutting in from the flanks..its like cheating
  17. I am working on a mod for January 1997 in my spare time

  19. Just a couple quick things, missing from NXT roster unless I cannot see them: Malcolm Bivens Brendan Vink Cezar Bonini Danny Burch (double checked and it looks like I missed him as he is only able to work British Isles) Isaiah "Swerve" Scott (double checked and for some reason he is written rather than developmental contract) Tino Sabbatelli Zack Gibson Aliyah Kacy catanzaro Kayden Carter Mercedes Martinez Chase Parker Daniel Vidot Dio Madden Dorian Mak Jeet Rama Matt Martel Rik Bugez Briana Brandy Karen Q Jessi Kamea Kavita Devi All of these people are regular at live events or on tv and should be added I feel. There are also a number of workers in the performance centre should be added especially those who have been there a while as we could soon be seeing those on NXT TV NXT UK has workers missing but I am not able to got through and look to list them at the minute. A good resource is the WWE Personnel Wikipedia page as it lists everyone currently on the roster. Going back I realise I missed some people as I started as WWE to take a look and for some reason their contracts were not developmental like Devlin. I appreciate some of the UK guys in particular also work Progress etc but for game world integrity I would personally have everyone who is on a developmental on one, maybe on a loan at progress or other british promotions that use them as Devlin for example is Cruiserweight champion so it seems a little odd he is only on a PPA so could not be called for a main roster appearance. Outside of those couple of things I am looking forward to when this is out for 2020
  20. If she's not already much like mike bailey nicole matthews should be unable to work in usa as she is banned like him for Visa issues.. hers is until 2023 I believe
  21. Really like the new pics.. just a little thing alisha Edwards pic says alicia fox
  22. She is in as Kairi Hojo with WWE name being Kairi Sane Just something I was thinking, with TEW2020 getting closer then it might be worth taking a look at tech stats to make ti easier when converted. Adam has said when converted the highest of the 3 will make up the new technical stats it might be worth setting the three to the same number (the number you would see their tech at) as looking at the moment some people could end up being converted to a real high tech when they are not.

  24. Just a quick one, some important workers missing, is there any chance you will be adding these any time soon, for NXT and NXTUK (I think I am on v4 at the minute so if added in v5 just ignore, just off the top of my head) Female Candy Floss Chelsea Green Dakota Kai Deonna Purrazo Isla Dawn Jessamyn Duke Marina Shafir MJ Jenkins Raquel Gonzalez Vanessa Borne Rachel Evers Male James Drake Kona Reeves Fabian Aichner Marcel Barthel Morgan Webster Eddie Dennis Jake Atlas There were some others but those are the important ones, especially with NXT UK as some big players are missing.
