1. any chance we get an easier way to search for worker stats? The new way is just a pain.

I wonder if an "and/or" filter might be added, so that when you are searching by skill, you could search for "60 Brawling" or "60 Technical", for example.

Sometimes I'm just looking for a wrestler with a "good look", and I don't really mind if it's SQ or Menace. On other occasions, I want someone with good top row stats, but I don't really mind if they're a technician or a brawler. Being able to reflect this in a single search would be really helpful.

  2. If you don't want generated workers in your mod/game (and it's not for me to say whether you should or shouldn't), then why not just delete all the dojos? They serve no other function in the game. In fact, leaving them out could/should save historical modders some work as it's one less thing they need to include.

I think that the problem with this would be preventing real dojo graduates being linked to the correct promotion by first refusal in historical mods.

For me, the best solution at current, is to remove the free pictures for in ring wrestlers and set the picture requirement to be on. That way, you won't have any generated wrestlers, and you will still have the ability to have dojos in the world for real life graduates. You also have the option here as to whether you want to remove free pictures for generated referees, non-wrestler, etc.

You can then just add the free pictures back (or turn off the picture requirement), should you ever get to a point in the future of a save at which you want generated workers to start appearing again.

I do understand that some players will be annoyed by having to workaround the system - even if it only takes a few seconds - when they could previously do so with a simple option. It's not something that bothers me at all, but I do see why it might frustrate others.

Should only take a few seconds, but I understand that those are seconds that you might want to spend on something else.

However, I do agree that it seems like it would be useful to have the ability to simply turn it off/on with a click, rather than having to find a workaround to achieve the exact same effect. It isn't something that I would use, but I absolutely understand why other players would want to. It does seem jarring to lose an option that was present and useful in the previous game.

  4. but, you can only turn graduations to NO if it is a performance center.

at dojos and schools it's not possible.

so, i think it's nearly impossible to play without new graduates.

maybe only by deleting all training facilities.

but, this can't be the solution?!

Sorry if I've missed anything above, but what I do is set the "Picture Requirement" to "On", so that workers won't appear without a free picture. Then move the free photos that are available for in ring workers to a different folder, so that the game won't generate in ring wrestlers.

It can still generate announcers/refs/etc. to balance the game - because I left those pictures - but doesn't seem to be generating any new wrestlers in any of the databases that I have tried with.

The reasons that I leave the staff to be able to generate are: 1) I'm too lazy to actually make balanced databases, I wouldn't need to if I was doing a detailed job rather than just getting stuff ok enough to play. 2) I can't honestly say that I know the name of every ref or broadcaster who ever worked a few dates, so it doesn't impact my immersion at all to have a few of them appear. If it weren't for these two things, I would turn them off as well.

I'm sure my solution won't work for everyone, but hopefully it does for someone.

  5. Maybe I'm a moron, but I have now deleted a data I've been working on twice completely while trying to delete other things. I go on autopilot while doing data and clicking the red button with "delete" and then the corresponding click to confirm I do really quick.

When deleting a database (a big decision) I think maybe having to type in the database name to confirm the delete or something would be better? So you cant just turbo click and accidentally do it? Or even type "Yes" instead of click it. I dunno. I'm dumb and frustrated.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. Actually, not glad, but...you know.

I managed to recover most of what I lost because I'd recently started a tester save - which I could then convert back to a database - but still lost a few hours work.

  6. For the Brits of a certain age out there... Survivor Series team, anyone? :D:eek:

I'm currently running a stable called "Trigger", which is my version of the Bullet Club. However, everyone in it is actually slightly lamer than they would need to be to get it over. The premise of the stable is basically, this would be cool if Prince Devitt did it, but is very uncool when Al The Hillbilly does. It turns out that Walter Morgan and Herschel The Hammer dinking their fingers together isn't shifting so many t-shirts.

Looks like I've found my new surprise stable leader.

  7. Emotions have been high here recently and it's maybe not the best time to ask for it now. Might bank this away and suggest it 6-12 months from now.

Completely agree. It's a really interesting/solid suggestion, but maybe not one for right now.

I could easily see testers being overwhelmed with messages - not just by passionate existing members, but also new signups who could easily (and perhaps misguidedly) identify the testers as targets for bombardment.

There's been lots of fantastic debate and some great suggestions on the forums, since the beta/demo was released. However, the tone of this has occasionally (just a minority) dipped to the extent that I wouldn't want to be the one receiving messages about it - especially if there is nothing that I can do. Then again, I can't speak for the testers.

I do think that it is a solid overall suggestion though. Putting it on ice for a couple of months might make those with the power to implement it more receptive too.

  8. I just wanted to say thanks again for this great skin.

I never used anything but the default on previous TEW games, but was struggling with the beta this year. I saw a few different skins uploaded quite quickly, and wasn't sure which one to use, as they all had some great features. However, since downloading this, it has been all that I've used.

I'm looking forward to the full release - especially after seeing the new UI screenshots - but really, this skin has meant that I don't really need a big visual upgrade, because it's already great.

Thanks for breathing life into the game for me!

Edit: Also, I would love to see a full game release, "with stuff like the left menu and lower menu changed..." I've become used to the game with your designs, so I'll definitely be downloading any other work that you put out. Thanks again...again.

  9. It's all very odd that they accepted it and said they would do it, only to be pulled from everything immediately after the pitch.

Agreed. The inner workings of WWE never cease to baffle me.

It's this massive (incredibly successful) business, which seems to run every department contrary to the way that they would be run in any other industry, even when there doesn't seem to be a reason for it. They seem caught in this extraordinary position where they have a combination of insane wrestling industry practices, and more widespread business practices. They seem to be caught between the worlds of big business and wrestling, and I never know when they are going to act as if they are just in one of those worlds, or combine the two in some odd way. They often (and I'm a longtime WWE fan) seem to end up with the worst of both worlds - cutthroat capitalism, mixed with stories of inexplicably unprofessional practices, justified by strange wrestling logic, amidst a backdrop of advanced bureaucracy.

One thing I will add, is that if I proposed something to an employee that I line manage, and they accepted it but only after openly laughing at the idea - we definitely wouldn't be pursuing the suggestion without a lot of further work. I would have almost certainly taken their response as a tacit rejection of the idea. So I'm less bemused by that aspect of it than I was at first.

    Then again, I don't understand WWE...at all.

  10. A lot of people talk about the text colors... I haven't actually seen someone bring up what I'm here to post about, and honestly it's super minor and silly, I didn't even think about it until right now. And it's probably for the best that these things stay consistent and obviously it's well established that red is a signal for bad, so making an exception for this might not be worth it.

But with how the momentum is worded now, it's kinda funny to me to see Hot and Chilly.

It's mainly just a thing on the cold side really but it's a little weird when you think about it. It's like when people test you by asking you to read the word Yellow, yannow?

I noticed this too. I think it was seeing "Red Hot" in green, that made it stand out to me too.

Not a big deal at all, but feels a little weird.

  11. I'll admit the consistent graphical style is a large part of why I love the Thunderverse

I'd not really thought about this element of it, as I'm not normally too fussy about graphics - I'm just so impressed by all the work that people do.

Having thought about it more, I do think that the consistent worker renders makes a big difference. The world seems more connected, and I notice the little differences and individual characteristics more because the style is consistent. In the Thunderverse, I focus on the individual characters, whereas in the CVerse (where there are also some amazing graphics), I sometimes focus more on the different styles than the individuals.

Loved playing the Thunderverse in TEW 16, and can't wait to do so again in TEW 20. Thanks for all the hard work!
