  1. <p>Turns out Dean Ambrose and Renee Young are married and have been since October. They never wore the rings, but Dean was wearing his and Renee was wearing hers on Raw and Talking Smack (and it was mocked by Ziggler and Owens), I'm guessing since they got split up in the Shakeup they thought **** it and wore their rings.</p><p> <a href="https://twitter.com/ReneeYoungWWE/status/852103416407097344" rel="external nofollow">Renee then confirmed it on Twitter.</a></p><p> <a href="http://www.foxsports.com/wwe/gallery/wwe-dean-ambrose-renee-young-married-041217" rel="external nofollow">Fox Sports Article</a></p><p> </p><p> EDIT: Also Ryback's title loss has an issue, it's 2o15 instead of 2015.</p>

I had John Cena tap out, although it was against Samoa Joe in a Coquina Clutch so technically it doesn't need to be a tap out, he could have just passed out. And this happened on Raw, which is what makes me kinda want to take it back because this is to me almost like breaking The Undertaker's streak... it needs to be special. So how should I handle this? Should I just make it so he didn't actually tap out and bring it up later in a full storyline? Because on top of all of this, it was just a #1 Contender's match in which I wanted to make Joe a legitimate threat to the champion which is why this happened.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Crooked referee, Do a kayfabe screwjob maybe? The top two progress. </p><p> </p><p> The quarter finals, semi finals and the finals will take place over two days, with the winner getting a title shot for any title of their choice. </p><p> </p><p> My problem is that I need a name for the tournament, I could go for King of the Ring, but I'm not sure about changing the format.</p>

  18. Previous Update As mentioned in my previous update, we were quickly approaching the second annual 'WWE Takes Over: New Japan' event, and two weeks after Summerslam, a mixture of RAW and Smackdown Live superstars flew over to Saitama to compete in front of a hot crowd of 30,000 (since we're WWE we'll push it to a sold out 36,000) people. Would've liked a sell out, but the Japanese Wrestling industry isn't in the best place right now, despite NJPW routinely pulling A* shows, and DGUSA recently being taken over, investing a lot of money (outbidding me and NJPW for Kenny Omega, and stealing Katsuyori Shibata from the grasps of NJPW). Irregardless, the show opened up with a non-title tag team match as the former tag team champions, The Revival stole a victory from under the nose of the men who dethroned them, the Heroes of Wrestling (Kassius Ohno and Cesaro), as Scott Dawson raked the eyes of Ohno and rolled him up for the win. These two teams competed for the titles at Summerslam, drawing an 81 rating, The Revival then invoked their rematch clause on the Smackdown Live after Summerslam, drawing an 82 rating. This time they drew a 75, I'm quite happy with this rating given the fact neither team are as over in Japan as they are in America. The next contest was The Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe facing off against the Stone Pitbull, Tomohiro Ishii. I went with this match because I felt it would be a great matchup stylistically, and with a 10 minute brawl, Ishii came out on top, this match once again drawing a 75. Austin Aries made defence number four of his Cruiserweight Championship in Saitama, defeating The Golden Star, Kota Ibushi. The two warriors battled it out for just short of 20 minutes but Aries locked in the Last Chancery forcing Ibushi to tap. An 82 rating was awarded and I'm delighted. Hideo Itami defeated Roderick Strong in a short match designed to calm the fans down and ahead of the last four matches on the show. Next up Hiroshi Tanahashi faced off against Roman Reigns, and they got a 79 rating. Quite disappointed in the grand scheme of things, but I feel Roman Reigns is pretty underrated in this mod. Next up the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada battled former United States Champion, and Bulletproof BC member Austin Cole (BAYBAY), this was the biggest disappointment of the night, only drawing a 76 rating after finding out the two had poor chemsitry. Cole seems to have poor chemsitry with every major worker we throw him with, Zayn, Balor, Nakamura, leaving me in a shitty situation where I don't want to push him, despite him getting massively over very quickly, being fantastic in-ring and Adam Cole being one of my favourite workers IRL. The post-match angle drew a solid 87 rating though, as Okada offered a handshake to Austin Cole, but Cole simply stuck his middle finger up to Okada and walked off. Then it was time for the double main-event, first up was Shinsuke Nakamura aiming to regain his title from Tetsuya Naito after he was first attacked by MI5 (Dunne, Sabre Jr, Scurll, Neville and Barrett), and then pinned in the middle of the ring. The two men went just over half an hour before Nakamura put Naito to rest with a Kinshasa, drawing a very solid 87 rating, marking Shinsuke Nakamura's third title run. I've been disappointed in the way I have booked his title run(s), he's lost the title via cheating before regaining it after the match was restarted, he's had to wrestle shit midcarders, he lost his title to someone who doesn't even work for the company, and he's the fall guy whenever he's teaming with Balor and they need to lose. That being said, his next two PPV matches are going to be very special. http://i.imgur.com/HprUAtf.jpg Then it was time for the Main Event. Since Triple H (my UC) took over WWE, we have enforced a soft time limi of one hour. This limit has never been met, but AJ Styles and Finn Balor made history becoming the first ever match to reach a time limit draw under my booking. Both men went to war during this match and it paid off with a 96 rated match, and leaving the option for one more match between them, since AJ lost so narrowly at Summerslam and drew with Finn in Japan, as well as this, it protects both Finn and AJ. The rubber match will take place at the Smackdown exclusive PPV event Capital Punishment 2017, and will be a stipulation match, most likely a ladder or a cage match, although the idea of an Iron Man Match has been thrown around a couple of times too. http://i.imgur.com/nVqItOP.jpg Overall, an 84 rating which is extremely disappointing and comes down to me not progressing enough storylines. Oh well, it is what it is. http://i.imgur.com/bPu9Rm6.jpg
  19. Previous Update Summerslam 2017 is in the books, and tied with the Global League 2017 finale, and it is the highest rated show in my 14 months in charge of WWE. The show opened with A-Double Austin Aries defending his Crusierweight Title against the legendary Jushin Liger. Aries had run roughshot on the division since it's formation, becoming the inaugral champion, losing it a day later due to a drug suspension but regaining it at his first PPV back. He demanded new competition and Regal gave him his request, bringing Jushin Liger to Brooklyn. This was a clear rehash of the same angle with Breeze, but I loved that so I wanted to do it again Admittedly, I don't do a lot with my tag division, I never have storylines and characters for them. This was the case with the Smackdown Live Tag Team match. Kassius Ohno made his long awaited Main Roster debuting on the Smackdown Live match, he quickly aligned himself with former tag team partner Cesaro, dubbing themself the Heroes of Wrestling. The duo went on a good run together earning a chance at The Revival's Championships at The Global League Finale, which didn't end up taking place due to Scott Dawson fracturing his sternum in one on one action with Ohno. It was touch and go whether Dawson would be able to compete at Summerslam, and he was eventually cleared a day before the event. The tag team match tore the house down, with The Heroes of Wrestling walking out new champs, picking up an 81 rating, something completely unexepected since Cesaro has the highest pop in the match with 87, and the rest are in the 60s. I found out three days before the PPV that RAW Womens Champion Charlotte had poor chemistry with #1 Contender, the recently returning AJ Lee. It was too late to drop out now, so I took the low rating and AJ and Charlotte managed a measly 59 rating, AJ walked out winner. One thing I like to do with this save is Interpromotional stuff, imagine a WWE/NJPW relationship similar to the ROH deal, and I decided to bring in LIJ from New Japan. DIY were chosen to face EVIL and BUSHI, but it was new WWE signing Takahashi who made the biggest signing after returning from his excursion in CMLL, costing DIY the match. Next up was the Smackdown Womens Title Match and Becky Lynch retained not only her title but also remained the longest reigning champ in the company, beating AJ Styles by a whole five days. He submitted Alexa Bliss in 10 minutes getting a 78 rating. Starting to get the Women over nicely. Next up was the other LIJ match, as Shinsuke Nakamura defended his Intercontiental Championship against former IWGP Intercontinental and former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito. It wasn't without controversy though, as recent RAW debutants Pete Dunne and Marty Scurll attacked Shinsuke Nakamura during his entrance, claiming they are purely making a name for themselves. Naito walked away with the title with the duo picking up an 82 rating. Nakamura will get his rematch in Saitama, as WWE host the second annual "WWE Takes Over: New Japan Pro Wrestling" from the Saitama Super Dome. Zack Sabre Jr debuted and immediately set his eyes on the United States Champion Austin (Adam) Cole, earning a title shot at the Payback PPV, which Sabre Jr won, but by countout. This time Cole had no backup as if he lost via DQ or Count Out he would lose his title. Sabre Jr overcame Cole at Summerslam with a rating of 80. Roman Reigns and John Cena had previously linked up to fight fight the common enemy of Bulletproof BC (AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Finn Balor) and despite a quick start things descended into madness very quickly with various bits of miscommunication and clashes of ego, the relationship turned sour quickly, and after three consecutive loses Roman Reigns turned heel hitting Cena with a Spear. The two would finally clash at Summerslam and it turned out to be the biggest disappointment on the show only drawing a 76 rating. The Rock made his return to WWE at the Smackdown Exclusive PPV, Exile, but was interuppted by The Miz and Maryse. The two traded barbs and assaults for weeks until The Rock finally challenged The Miz to a match at Summerslam, which he'd eventually regret, Maryse spraying perfume into the eyes of Rocky allowing The Miz to hit a SCF and defeat The People's Champ. Onto the dual Main-Event. Sami Zayn vs Dean Ambrose may be the biggest feud of 2017 for the WWE, with Ambrose cashing in Money in the Bank on Sami Zayn, a day removed from Zayn finally winning the big one in a Six Man Hell in a Cell match, Zayn won the rumble and the two clashed in the Main Event of Wrestlemania, admittedly disappointing in a 76 rated match. The two would clash again on the RAW after No Mercy where Sami barely defended his title against Wyatt. Zayn admitted he had a slight injury but was a fighting champion before he was confronted by Ambrose. Ambrose called Zayn a coward and challenged Zayn to put his title on the line that night. Zayn agreed and Ambrose capitalized on this opportunity, walking away new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The rematch was set for Co-Main Event of Summerslam and the two men went to war, but Ambrose walked out still champion after hitting a Butterfly Brainbuster after 26 minutes. A 100 Rated Match. A second consecutive 100 Rated Match for Ambrose. Not bad. http://i.imgur.com/VMIhEjr.png Time for the Main Event, and the peak of my favourite angle I've ever booked. Balor joined the main roster in July of 2016, as a member of Bulletproof BC and was quickly established as a Main Eventer, winning the United States Championship in his debut match. Balor and Styles were considered dual leaders of the stable, but both gained massive ego's after their instant success and first butt heads in the 2017 Royal Rumble, as the final three consisted of AJ, Finn and Zayn. AJ and Finn argued taking their eyes off Zayn, who eliminated both of them. The two eventually reconciled, and they went off without a hitch for a few weeks. Until Wrestlemania 33 in fact, where both AJ and Finn came out on the losing end of their matches and again egos clashed. Once again they were convinced by ̶C̶h̶a̶d̶d̶ ̶2̶B̶a̶d̶d̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶T̶e̶x̶ ̶F̶e̶r̶g̶u̶s̶o̶n̶ Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to put their issues behind them. The permanent damage occured on Day 6 of the Global League as Finn had a 100% record and AJ warned Balor to drop the tournament. Finn refused to AJ's annoyance. Sensing tension, Bryan booked AJ and Finn to tag with eachother, but after Finn hit an 1916, AJ tagged himself in to grab the pinfall. Finn and AJ went face to face before they were pulled apart by ̶T̶e̶x̶ ̶F̶e̶r̶g̶u̶s̶o̶n̶ who threw up a Too Sweet, both men eventually threw it up before AJ nailed Finn turning Finn face and Gallows hit a Gallows Bomb to Finn Balor. The odds turned against Balor even more after it was announced that Karl Anderson was traided to RAW in exchange for Hideo Itami and a large undisclosed fee, and Anderson ended up making the save for Finn, before swerving him and hitting a Gun Stun. Balor ended up defeating Bulletproof BC members Austin Cole and Dean Ambrose in the finals of the Global League. Onto the Summerslam match and both men battled for 39 minutes for the Universal Title, with Balor barely, barely topping AJ Styles in a 99 rated match. My favourite angle I've ever booked will come to an end in Saitama, Japan, after AJ requested his rematch clause take place in the Main Event of the New Japan SuperShow. http://i.imgur.com/DenHRpk.png The Final Show drew 35,000 fans and recieved a 96 rating. I reckon if Roman vs Cena and AJ vs Charlotte hadn't have bombed, we'd be looking at a 100 rated show. http://i.imgur.com/7V3V1HU.png
