  1. <p>Lance Storm's year of title defences:</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cuj6a3.jpg" data-src="https://i.sli.mg/cuj6a3.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I stupidly booked him in regular matches on Nitro, which brought his average for the year down to 90 and he placed #2 behind Triple H in the power 500. Hell of a year though, he even got a 96 out of Sting, who's severely declining.</p>
  2. <p>I'm playing a WCW Lives game as WCW and I'm having trouble gaining popularity. I'm National, as are WWE.</p><p> </p><p> Over the past year I've:</p><p> </p><p> 1) Won the National Battle every month by over 500 points.</p><p> 2) Generally always put on better shows than WWE, though now and again they'll put on a better show.</p><p> 3) Tanked WWE's popularity, dropping them from International to National.</p><p> 4) Gain popularity with every show I put on.</p><p> </p><p> Yet in a year I've not gained a single point of popularity. I was under the impression that losing the National Battle would hinder your popularity regardless of the show quality, but I've never lost a National Battle, so I have no idea why I'm not gaining pop.</p><p> </p><p> Any ideas why I'm not gaining? I've just put on a 99 rated Starrcade with two 100 matches and it's resulted in 0 popularity gain (I've just checked and I'm actually on 79.0% popularity throughout the US). It's getting very annoying.</p><p> </p><p> The wrestling industry has always been falling, and it's only just starting to rise. Could that have anything to do with it? It seems excessive if that's the case.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/lrp0m3M.png</span></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/lblZIDg.png</span></p>

Now, I've held several A* matches (maybe not several, but around 5 at least). But I have not unlocked that achievement... Does it only count as an A* match, if it is rated a flat out 100? And not 97 or 99?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, it must be, as I've had several A* matches but no 100 matches and I don't have the achievement either.</p><p> </p><p> EDIT: I've just got a 100 rated match and I now have the achievement, so it's only 100 rated matches.</p>
  4. <p>Playing a WCW Lives game. I'm in October 2003. Goldberg has gone undefeated since he returned in October 2001. He's held the World title since December 2001. He's my figurehead and the most popular wrestler in the world. I've just realised that the only logical option is for Lance Storm to beat him at Starrcade 2003 for the World title. Woah.</p><p> </p><p> Ever have little revelations like that? It's going to freshen things up so much.</p>
  5. <p>Thanks for all the replies for the tag team tournament.</p><p> </p><p> I like the Arn Anderson Invitational idea. Though I actually released him after he went into rehab for a drug problem!</p><p> </p><p> Terry Gordy is still alive in-game.</p><p> </p><p> My other idea was to change the name of the tournament every year. Arn Anderson invitational 2003. Midnight Express invitational 2004. Rock & Roll Express invitational 2005, etc etc.</p>
  6. <p>Any ideas for a name for an annual tag team tournament for WCW in 2003?</p><p> </p><p> The only historic one they've used is the Jim Crockett Sr. Memorial Cup Tag Team Tournament, which is far too long and far too outdated.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks.</p>

I'm wondering if the wording is just semantics or if it means something.</p>
  8. What defines whether a worker will agree to a size increase or not?
  9. <p>I'm quite close to going National. My points total vs the WWF is not a huge amount below. Right now my shows always score in the mid to high 80s.</p><p> </p><p> I'm unsure whether to cap myself until I'm winning the points battle or to just go National and see what happens.</p><p> </p><p> How vital is the points battle? Will I drain popularity until I go above the WWF?</p><p> </p><p> The industry is also terrible at the moment.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for any help.</p>
  10. This is it, I've just checked and the industry everywhere is falling. Thanks a lot for your help.
  11. <p>Is there any reason why my sponsorship income has dropped so much? I can't work out why. I've gained 10 points of pop since May so I'm unsure why it's dropped.</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/TCcf79P.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> The estimated is really high too:</p><p> </p><p> <span>http://imgur.com/fDk6hDz.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> Thanks.</p>
  12. <p>I'm playing WCW Lives and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea on how to lengthen a feud between Goldberg and Scott Steiner?</p><p> </p><p> Steiner is the champion, Goldberg has just returned from injury. It's September and I've just started the feud. I want to end the storyline at Starrcade but I have Fall Brawl, Halloween Havoc and Mayhem to get to before that.</p><p> </p><p> Any ideas on what to do?</p><p> </p><p> My thoughts were either to just run angles, or to have Steiner throw down a gauntlet at the 3 PPV's before he's forced to give Goldberg a title shot at Starrcade. The only issue is the match ratings might not be great as I only have guys at about 60ish overness to feed to him.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks!</p>
  13. <p>What's the best way to build up a division?</p><p> </p><p> I'm playing a WCW 2001 mod (while eagerly awaiting the update) and I'd like a Tag division and a Cruiserweight division, but both would stink up my shows because it's a popularity based fed and none of the workers are over.</p><p> </p><p> Should I confine them to the B-Show until they're over enough? I'm thinking this method may take a long time though.</p>
  14. <p>Do negative influences affect other companies in any way?</p><p> </p><p> For example, in my save Hogan is an extremely negative influence, so I haven't signed him. He's also incredibly popular. The WWF have signed him. Do they just get the benefit of his popularity without the drawback of his influence or does it affect their backstage morale too somehow?</p>
  15. <p>I've only recently started playing TEW so I'm very much in the EWR mindset, and I have a few questions.</p><p> </p><p> 1. When starting storylines, should I keep them as Wrestler vs Wrestler orientated or, for example, title or single wrestler orientated?</p><p> </p><p> For example, Goldberg is my champion. Is it better to have storylines such as Goldberg vs Steiner, then end it and start Goldberg vs Flair, or should I just have a "World Championship" storyline and bring wrestlers in and out of it when needed?</p><p> </p><p> 2. When ending a feud in EWR, the winner and loser would gain overness, does the ending of a storyline in TEW result in similar benefits?</p><p> </p><p> 3. With a child company, would more experienced workers benefit the less experienced workers in regards to stats gain? My child company has signed workers such as 2 Cold Scorpio and Road Dogg, will these just take away match time from the workers I actually sent to develop, or will they help because they're more experienced?</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for any help.</p>
  16. Would it be more beneficial to have a worker in development or on the roster but only working weekly B shows?
  17. <p>How are the Announcer of the Year and Colour Commentator of the Year end of year awards decided?</p><p> </p><p> Akira Fukuzawa, announcing 88, got the award over JR, announcing 98.</p><p> </p><p> Jerry Lawler, colour 87, got the award over Dusty Rhodes, colour 89 (this was in my promotion, and they both worked exactly the same amount of shows on a 3 man announce team).</p>
