  1. Bulldozer Brandon Smith © [vs] Prisoner No. 6 w/ Doctor O'Haire [NYCW Empire Title Match] Gambling here, yeah. The Night Terrors (Babau & Moroi) [vs] The Ring Generals (“Deadly” Dean Waldorf & “Marvelous” Marv Statler) © w/ Haley Buck [NYCW Tag Team Titles Match] Get me over tag title defense. "The Amish Brawler" Jebediah © [vs] Philippe LaGrenier w/ Doctor O'Haire [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match] Could be the start of a feud here. Steve Flash [vs] The Masked Mauler I need a hero! The Heartbreakers (Justin Sensitive & Raphael) [vs] Notorious (Carlos Barrera & Miguel Rivera) Raphael especially can turn into one hell of a worker. @miller_fforde & “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside [vs] ??? Hm...toughie. I'll just gamble on the babyfaces. Animal Harker [vs] Princeton Pryce I almost want to say Pryce is the replacement you got when you let Rick go. He puts Harker over.
  2. I think you can have a wider question on how many more people would've come to Shawn to train and spread his influence in that manner. That might be the bigger part of his legacy considering who he DID have a hand in training or grooming already.
  3. Masked Patriot [vs] “The Pure Athlete” Art Reed © [COTT World Heavyweight Championship Match] Battle of contrasts. Art should win here. Plus he was trained in Canada! Boo America! The Atlantic Connection (Riley McManus & Curtis “CJ” Jenkins) w/ Sweet Tabitha [vs] The Boys From Yukon (Howlin' Mad Mort & Whitehorse Whittaker) w/ Doctor O'Haire [vs] The Ring Generals (“Deadly” Dean Waldorf & “Marvelous” Marv Statler) © w/ Haley Buck [NYCW Tag Team Titles Match] This could be one hell of a tag trio match. Ring Generals find a way to steal it. Maybe thanks to Haley. “Constant Motion” Teddy Powell [vs] Prisoner No. 6 w/ Doctor O'Haire [No Rules Match] Prisoner SMASH "The Amish Brawler" Jebediah © [vs] Ace Youngblood [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match] Ace is a future Tri-State champion I think. Not now though. ??? [vs] The Canadian Connection (Philippe LaGrenier & Hugh Ancrie) @miller_fforde & “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside [vs] ??? Going with the squiggles to shake things up a bit. Hawkeye Calhoun [vs] “Glorious” Logan Diaz Logan gets a decisive win.
  4. Bulldozer Brandon Smith © [vs] Prisoner No. 6 w/ Doctor O'Haire [NYCW Empire Title Match] It kind of feels like the Prisoner is gonna rampage at the top now. The Atlantic Connection (Riley McManus & Curtis “CJ” Jenkins) © w/ Sweet Tabitha [vs] The Ring Generals (“Deadly” Dean Waldorf & “Marvelous” Marv Statler) w/ Haley Buck [NYCW Tag Team Titles Match] There's some life to this feud. “The Jackhammer” Joffy Laine [vs] Man Mountain Cahill [Grudge Match] I don't think there's a need for Joffy to go over just yet. Jebediah © [vs] The Masked Mauler [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match] Semi-squash/momentum builder title defense. “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside [vs] “The Pure Athlete” Art Reed 'Time to learn how we did it in our day, boy.' Animal Harker [vs] Philippe LaGrenier LaGrenier's starting to get himself a nice push in the midcard. Steve Flash [vs] Hugh Ancrie I think this is where we need someone singing 'I need a hero' considering what's coming at the top.
  5. 'Representing OLLIE' Capitao Brasil Jr [vs] “The Pure Athlete” Art Reed © [COTT World Heavyweight Championship Match] Art looks down upon thee. Riley McManus w/ Sweet Tabitha [vs] “Marvelous” Marv Statler w/ Haley Buck Curtis Jenkins w/ Sweet Tabitha [vs] “Deadly” Dean Waldorf w/ Haley Buck Kind of going with a split here. “The Jackhammer” Joffy Laine [vs] Logan Diaz This legit could be your Tri-State feud in a year or two considering the charisma and talent on display here. Ace Youngblood [vs] Prisoner No. 6 w/ Doctor O'Haire Bulldozer has to save Ace from being MDK'd. I also wonder where Steve Flash falls in all this. I wonder if a triple threat between Flash, Prisoner, and Bulldozer is a possibility. Brooklyn's Finest (Freedom Eagle & Hawkeye Calhoun) [vs] The Canadian Connection (Philippe LaGrenier & Hugh Ancrie) One team is getting a semi push, the other isn't. Plus LaGrenier is just a solid pro in the game. @miller_fforde & “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside [vs] The Amazing Caballero Bros There will be some flyer miles racked up in this tag team match.
  6. <p>“Bad Bad” Lenny Brown [vs] <strong>“The Pure Athlete” Art Reed</strong> ©</p><p> [COTT World Heavyweight Championship Match]</p><p> </p><p> This might be another match sold out at the monitor with how much of an athletic spectacle this could be.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Atlantic Connection w/ Sweet Tabitha</strong> © [vs] The Canadian Connection</p><p> [NYCW Tag Team Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> No sense in changing after having the heels have the tag titles for so long.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jebediah</strong> © [vs] Logan Diaz</p><p> [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title]</p><p> </p><p> Jebediah needs a focused feud soon.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve Flash</strong> [vs] Honest Frank</p><p> [Throwback Match]</p><p> </p><p> This is what we call a greatest hits match. Both guys hit their greatest hits and Steve gets the win to help the fans feel good since he's the babyface.</p><p> </p><p> “The Jackhammer” Joffy Laine [vs] <strong>“The Dark Reaper” Scythe</strong></p><p> </p><p> Scythe could use a couple displays where he looks like a killer.</p><p> </p><p> Freedom Eagle [vs] <strong>Man Mountain Cahill</strong></p><p> </p><p> MAN MOUNTAIN SMASH!</p><p> </p><p> <strong>@miller_fforde & “The Man Without Fear” Sonny Wildside</strong> [vs] Old School Principals (Rick Sanders & The Masked Mauler)</p><p> </p><p> I get the feeling if you were ever to want to save money, OSP might be on the chopping block and you can bring in two young guys and throw them together as a unit for the underneath jobs. As someone who does like them(Rick in particular), that's kind of a shame but it's a possibility.</p>
  7. <p><strong>Bulldozer Brandon Smith ©</strong> [vs] “The Dark Reaper” Scythe w/ Honest Frank</p><p> [NYCW Empire Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> Unless he's going to Japan or signed with Supreme, no real reason to move the belt right now.</p><p> </p><p> The Atlantic Connection w/ Sweet Tabitha [vs] <strong>The Boys From Yukon</strong> © w/ Doctor O'Haire</p><p> [NYCW Tag Team Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> This match could get messy with moving parts. Ring Generals might intervene and create a triple threat situation. I say in their anger(thanks to Haley Buck) that they get involved and screw the team that beat them out of the tag titles.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve Flash</strong> [vs] The Masked Mauler</p><p> [Throwback Match]</p><p> </p><p> Steve Flash is still an ace.</p><p> </p><p> @miller_fforde [vs] <strong>Art Reed</strong></p><p> </p><p> This might be a hell'va thrill for Miller.</p><p> </p><p> “The Man With No Fear” Sonny Wildside [vs] <strong>Man Mountain Cahill</strong></p><p> </p><p> MOUNTAIN MAN SMASH!</p><p> </p><p> Brooklyn's Finest [vs] <strong>The Ring Generals</strong> w/ Haley Buck</p><p> </p><p> A lot of anger from the Ring Generals. This will be fast but not painless for Brooklyn's Finest.</p><p> </p><p> Animal Harker & Jebediah [vs] <strong>The Canadian Connection</strong></p><p> </p><p> It's been a bit since Jeb and Harker have teamed up even if they are allies. You can have the heel side win here by being heels and teaming up far more often in a recent stretch.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Ace Youngblood</strong> [vs] Rick Sanders</p><p> </p><p> Ace Youngblood might be a future Tri-State champion actually. Going over Rick helps with that and might even polish him up a little more with psychology and things of that nature.</p>
  8. <p>“The Supreme Star” Spencer Spade [vs] <strong>“The Pure Athlete” Art Reed</strong> ©</p><p> [COTT World Heavyweight Championship Match]</p><p> </p><p> This match would be sold out in the monitor. What will match of the night be? Let's be different, based on the combo of overness and Bulldozer just being awesome and potential storyline heat I'll go with <strong>Bulldozer vs Frank</strong>.</p><p> 2. What will the final overall rating of the show be? (Number rating not letter grade) <strong>61</strong></p>
  11. Steve Flash vs ”The Pure Athlete” Art Reed [Winner receives a COTT World Heavyweight Championship shot at 'Uptown Beatdown'] I think you're still going to push Art super strong here. Bulldozer Brandon Smith & ??? vs Honest Frank & ??? [bulldozer & Frank choose their own partners] Because he's eeeeevil. Jebediah © vs Howlin' Mad Mort [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title] You can have some fun with the tag partners in their shenanigans. A Former SWF Tag Team vs The Ring Generals w/ Haley Buck [The Ring Generals Open Challenge Match] Honestly I'm thinking this is either Death Row or(more of a long shot) the DWB(though they're also CGC) though I'm much more likely to think Death Row. I've had some success with Death Row in the past being a good anchor for a team but they're a heel team naturally. If this is Death Row, I think this is another day, another check, and another win for Haley Buck's crew. Animal Harker vs Prisoner No. 6 w/ Doctor O'Haire The angry doctor and his angrier Prisoner unleash hell on poor Harker. @miller_fforde vs Man Mountain Cahill These two could actually make a really interesting dynamic for a feud. Miller keeps wanting bigger thrills from this mountain of a man. And this annoys the bully because he's not getting the intimidation he wants so he wants to beat it into him. It's a simple enough dynamic. Brooklyn's Finest vs The Aces of Mayhem vs Old School Principals Honestly, I really like Ace Youngblood in particular. He's almost the perfect NYCW middle of the card worker with how balanced he is with just a little investment in developing him just a little further. The bonus is he comes with an experienced tag team. This works. Maybe give them a trial run as the defacto number 1 babyface unit.
  12. Bulldozer Brandon Smith © vs ??? [NYCW Empire Title Match] Might be a big name but it's a big name to put over your new big champion. Jebediah vs Prisoner No. 6 © w/ Doctor O'Haire [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match] Honestly, I think it's time for the big Prisoner to move up a level and Jebediah's a strong enough option to anchor the middle of the card. The Luna Twins (Luna Clara & Luna Oscura) vs The Ring Generals w/ Haley Buck [The Ring Generals Open Challenge Match] I kind of want Haley Buck to cut a promo about how ridiculous the masks are. She's money. Animal Harker vs Justice Jolson [Loser is barred from ringside for the Tri-State Regional Title match later in the night.] Jolson is green. Steve Flash vs Howlin' Mad Mort Flash develops the hoss a little bit but wins. @miller_fforde vs Whitehorse Whittaker #AerialVictory I'd take Art over Conner. Maybe Art's slumping a little and it goes a touch longer than anticipated for a proper technical masterclass. Or you want to protect Art and it's a shorter match considering his Japan commitments. But Art wins.
  13. I tend to try to avoid hiring cruiserweight styled wrestlers at the top of the card for NYCW just to play some variation of realistic to it. I could see the company having some lower on the card but not at the tippy top. But it might just be me for flavor text. I tend to have more use for Harry Allen in USPW games actually because he can work lower mid and bump for some of the monsters well enough still. But Ford...yeah, poor ol Ford Grumble. What could've been for him. Now he's a punchline.
  14. <p>Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs <strong>“The Pure Athlete” Art Reed</strong> ©</p><p> [NYCW Empire Title Match]</p><p> Honestly, this is probably the match up that dethrones Art later in the story but not now. Brandon has too much on his plate.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Young Guns (Harry Allen & Ford Gumble)</strong> vs The Ring Generals w/ Haley Buck</p><p> [The Ring Generals Open Challenge Match]</p><p> I'm taking a gamble here. I don't know how many other choices you really have for 'top' babyface tag teams you can just plop in from the sky. Harry Allen should still be able to hold up for a little while even if Ford Grumble has essentially become what the vehicle is...found on road dead. But this might be the choice for who comes in, who takes the tag titles, and who inevitably transitions the tag title straps back to the Ring Generals.</p><p> </p><p> Conner Threepwood vs <strong>Prisoner No. 6 </strong>© w/ Doctor O'Haire</p><p> [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match]</p><p> Conner isn't a bad technician but he isn't SO good in the ring that it overcomes being on the bland side by himself.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jebediah</strong> vs Justice Jolson</p><p> [if Jebediah win's he earns Tri-State Regional Title shot. If he loses he can't challenge Prisoner No. 6 again.]</p><p> Maybe a DQ? Maybe? Jolson's really green and matches like this might help.(I don't know how many dark matches if any you put him in to sharpen his skills up) But I think you go with Jebediah here. Maybe Animal Harker ends up returning later and helps Jeb even the odds at the end of the day.</p><p> </p><p> The Aces Of Mayhem vs <strong>Man Mountain Cahill</strong></p><p> [Handicap Match]</p><p> They can knock him off his feet but they're going to lose. There's some things to be had where he can bully other midcard workers and it you might discover the right money match.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve Flash</strong> vs The Masked Mauler</p><p> ...It's Steve Flash. Maybe he's the one who gets in MMC's crosshairs instead? I dunno.</p><p> </p><p> Brooklyn's Finest vs <strong>The Canadian Connection</strong></p><p> Canadian Connection gets a win after impressing in some underneath singles that showcase their talent even if they weren't getting Ws. Brooklyn's Finest are hell'a green.</p>
  15. <p>Harry Allen vs <strong>“The Pure Athlete” Art Reed</strong> ©</p><p> [NYCW Empire Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> Art is your guy right now.</p><p> </p><p> The Fighting Irish vs <strong>The Boys From Yukon</strong> ©</p><p> [NYCW Tag Team Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> I get the feeling you might be losing the babyface tag team even if the babyfaces could use a title on their side in general.</p><p> </p><p> @miller_fforde vs <strong>Prisoner No. 6</strong> © w/ Doctor O'Haire</p><p> [NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match]</p><p> </p><p> I almost want to see Miller feud the Man Mountain to more or less toughen him up in the eyes of the old school NYCW audience. Not totally win per say but come out of it looking tougher than he is going in. I don't think he's taking the Tri-State strap yet.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>The Ring Generals</strong> vs Unnamed International Tag Team</p><p> ['International' Open Challenge Match]</p><p> </p><p> Haley Buck is money as a manager. The Ring Generals are money as a tag team. It's almost one of the easier pairings to make whether they're heel or babyface really.</p><p> </p><p> Brooklyn's Finest vs <strong>Man Mountain Cahill</strong></p><p> Handicap Match</p><p> </p><p> Mountain SMASH</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Steve Flash</strong> vs Rick Sanders</p><p> </p><p> I honestly have a soft spot for Rick. In other games(specifically the 2010 mod) he's often a Tri-State and tag team champion just because of how he can ground your midcard then. But this is Steve f'n Flash.</p><p> </p><p> Local Talent vs <strong>Scythe</strong></p><p> </p><p> Scythe might not be my favorite monster but he's a skilled monster. Plus local talent goes straight to hell.</p>
  16. Big Smack Scott vs. Randy Bumfhole [standard Singles Match] I just like Randy more. "THE HEALER" John Greed vs. "THE DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDREL" Rogue It might take a little bit of time to see Rogue be fully seen as a babyface. There might be some wackiness too. Frederique Antonio Garcia vs. "THE IRON HORSE" Joey Morgan [Non-Title Match] Honestly of the two in the team I always prefered Prudence and have had success turning him into a North American title holder. Garcia's a solid enough hand who puts over the babyfaces though. This is no exception. "THE KING OF WHOA" Jimmy Hernandez vs. "THE ALPHA DOG" Remo [Non-Title Match] RIP Jimmy Hernandez. He'll never make it to John Greed. Though from a character standpoint I can see how Jimmy's ridiculous persona could actually throw Remo off initially until Remo just goes into Remo smash mode, dominates and conquers. "OLE' TRUSTWORTHY" Squeeky McClean vs. "THE HONORABLE" Valiant Don't be sneaky, trust in Squeeky. Trust in him to deliver this good match and cheat but the honorable one is someone to go forward with. [standard Singles Match]
  17. Jimmy Hernandez is sometimes way too much fun to just put out there and be...well...Jimmy Hernandez. That attitude can also throw some competitors completely out of whack.
  18. The Amazing Bumfholes vs. The Awesomeness vs. Dillon & Machine [#1 Contendership Match: SWF World Tag Team Championships] I kind'a like the Bumfholes. Bear vs. "THE IRON-HORSE" Joey Morgan [standard Singles Match] [Non-Title Match] Joey's among your best straight workers on the roster. A bit of an understated personality but that works for him. Oliver Kobb vs. "THE ALPHA DOG" Remo [standard Singles Match] [Non-Title Match] Remo knocks ol fastball Kobb over the park with a home run of a Destroyer. Eric Eisen and ???? vs. Jack Bruce and ???? [standard Tag Team Match] [Each man will choose their own partners] Bruce's side wins despite J.B. annoying the crap out of his own partner by being...well himself!
  19. Maybe I'm thinking more about how I like to book Remo and projecting but I kind'a get the feeling from a character standpoint, even if he'd never want to admit it, Gillmore is probably the person Remo respects the most. Valiant won't get down to the nitty gritty when it matters. Brandon James is a little too content with finances and likes more what wrestling brings him rather than the thrill of wrestling itself. He doesn't sense that same kind of dripping desire from Rogue in terms of total commitment. Eisen has too much vanity and, like Brandon, likes what wrestling brings him rather than dominating wrestling itself. And I'd even think he hates Jack Bruce because if he would've applied himself fully he'd dominate even more than he already did in the main event scene and he can't stand anyone who slacks off with other interests. Time will tell how he might take to Atomic. But Gillmore? He'll always love fighting and conquering him because that's a true test of his skills because he'll push Remo to that kind of limit. It's a different kind of villainous respect. Hell, he might even feel like he NEEDS Gillmore to be the dominant force because of where he gets pushed in these fights. It might be another reason why he'd seek out to beat him cleanly. It's to prove his superiority and it's a subtle kind of respect he has for the man. I know he isn't the greatest worker or the most charismatic guy but his combination of menace and star quality(and being good enough) and how much of a freak athlete he is...I find him the perfect monster heel and with that kind of motivation, a good potential lead heel for everyone else to chase.
  20. <p>More of a watcher than a caller but I kind'a always liked Remo and Gillmore as a long term on again/off again type of rivalry because I kind of feel like they're opposite representations of the same goal. One is animated, even angry, passionate, and uses raw emotion. The other is cold, calculating, precise, and all of that enhances Remo's monster aura. And the more one is slapped down, the harder he wants to conquer the other. And in their own twisted way, they kind of inspire the other to get better and add dimensions to their game.</p><p> </p><p> They're the two sides of the coin of being an arch competitor. I kind'a feel like they'd always be in conflict and have been since they flipped Gillmore babyface but that might be my head canon. I just enjoy those two feuding because it just feels natural for them to butt heads often because they know in order for either of them to achieve their goals...the other has to be completely annihilated but neither can really fully put the other man down.</p><p> </p><p> And it's the kind of story that can be told in any wrestling promotion so it's kind of the one I gravitate to the most.</p>
  21. Play to his strengths. Let him be a menacing, almost demonic even, presence that kind of puts everyone on the babyface side on edge a little bit. Palpable tension because you kind of hope he's just in there to win rather than gunning for someone's head. He's almost a perfect contrast for all of the Stones honestly. Technical excellence vs a monster's brutality. Or in Edd's case, a high flyer vs the big bulky menacing demonic monster. Someone who kind'a has those over the top demonic ties vs the straight laced wrestlers. It's something completely different for them to have to deal with. Have him kill the civilians/mid-carders you're willing to expend to build up this aura of his and figure out who stops him. Maybe in the process of him being this monster you hit on something else too. I'm not as familiar with the 05 mod but maybe someone like a Karen Killer to manage him if you want to go with that presentation maybe?

Fred Head is very undervalued, in my opinion. When he gets some positive momentum on his side, he really puts out some good performances.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Maybe you have better luck with him than me but I find he doesn't deliver for me plus he has given me more backstage trouble than Jay Chord. When you provoke the CEO into a fight and punch him...</p>
  23. <p>I always viewed that nothing is more traditional in a way than a monster heel that is just big and scary and menacing. And they figured well they look that part and you can book around the rest. Killer Shark can be really good. One of my favorite hires for TCW is American Demolition(Bulldozer Brandon Smith and Findlay O'Farraday) because they can be a better mauler tag team than what you have(and I hate Titan)</p><p> </p><p> It might seem typical but I also like hiring Tiger Salvaje Jr and El Jaguar. I tend to like hiring tag teams and TCW could use an infusion of new teams.</p>
  24. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Temes1066" data-cite="Temes1066" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41303" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I'm thinking of turning Brandon James back into Big Cat Brandon.<p> </p><p> However I have one problem, since I want to keep Krissy with him, so I need a new gimmick for her that is compatible with the Big Cat, can you guys give me some advice on this matter so I can find a gimmick?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Maybe morph her character a bit into someone who brings out the most animistic in her clients and this could also be a way to give various monsters like Bear to do. Just a thought.</p>
  25. <p>You could have him be less american general and more sadistic general. Maybe start to growl at the fact that the wrestlers(the soldiers) are getting more technical and less gruff and rough(to punch them in the face) and declare that they're going soft in a gradual transition. Maybe when he's fully established as the heel he can drop lines like 'This is why we lost the only war we did' and ridiculous stuff like that.</p><p> </p><p> The character would still love America but hate the way the Americans are embracing certain things.</p>
