I tend to avoid real world mods for various reasons, one of them being stats, I seen it mentioned that they are subjective and I think they are skewed based off of the mod makers opinions. As for historical mods, I've seen one where for example a debuting Rocky Maivia had A* popularity which wasn't the case, and another that had the closing of ecw and wcw listed in its events, which unless I'm wrong would make it pointless to play as either promotion. One of my longest running most fun games was my first and only venture into Australia for a draft. I made it a goal to get Tommy Cornell incredibly over there. It took a long time of him being in a tag team before his skills weren't being tanked by his relative popularity. Eventually his partner turned on him and feuded and put him over, which led him to challenge for the title. I digress though, the challenge doesn't have to come from the game alone it can come from how you play it. Play a mod and blacklist certain mega stars or strive to make the Brooklyn Brawler or The Red Rooster the number 1 wrestler in the world.<img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Only AI companies will be closed by events</p>
  2. From my PWG Playthrough, in which I'm a Cult company, on the verge to turning National. Also just made Jeff Cobb my figurehead, after looking at this screen, lol. Franchise Players 1. Jeff Cobb (40) - PWG Wolrld Heavyweight & PWG International Television Champion 2. Ashley Flair (36) - Just hired her. So...I have the WWE (Global) AI to thank for this 3. Zack Sabre Jr. (35) - Former PWG Champion, Leader of Sabregun 4. Minoru Suzuki (54) - Oldest active wrestler in the company 5. WALTER (35) - Former Tag-Team Champion, DDT4 Winner & just won the 2022 BOLA The International Television Championship was a title I created, when I created a weekly TV show. Jeff Cobb won the title on day 2 of Battle of Los Angeles from Pete Dunne, in a champion vs. champion match Next Big Things 1. Myron Reed (25) - Sort of a pet project of mine 2. Black Warrior Jr. (25) - Randomly picked him as my User Avatar when starting the save Only two people here... Hot Prospects 1. Marshall von Erich (29) - And to think that I only hired him, because of his brother... 2. Azumi/AZM (19) - In 2022 she's a former NXT Japan Women's Champion 3. Isla Dawn (28) - WWE just let her go and I hired her for a bigger Women's focus (although there is no seperation) 4. Black Warrior Jr. (25) 5. Shiro Phoenix/Gurukan Mask II (23) - A legacy regen, that I turned I gave a Hayabusa gimmick. Also a pet project of mine Talk the Talk 1. Ashley Flair 2. Minoru Suzuki - Kinda surprised by this, but oh well.. 3. Edge - Edge returning IRL made me un-retire him in the Editor. After a year of him not being hired by anyone, PWG was big enough for him 4. Jay Lethal 5. Akira Tozawa - WWE had him main event Wrestlemania, but didn't renew his contract, for some reason. Hired him when he had 78 pop in the US Show Stoppers 1. Jeff Cobb 2. Will Ospreay - He is having the time of his life. He's holding 4 different titles in 4 different companies and only lost the IWGP Heavyweight and PWG International TV titles recently 3. Ashley Flair 4. PAC 5. Zack Sabre Jr. Ring Generals 1. Jeff Cobb 2. Will Ospreay 3. Axel Dieter Jr. - current Tag-Team Champion with Fabian Aichner; DDT4 2022 winner 4. WALTER 5. Timothy Thatcher - former PWG Champion, former Tag champion with WALTER, former DDT4 winner with WALTER Three members of Ringkampf being my Ring Generals is crazy Who's Hot 1. WALTER - Just won BOLA and he also defeated a loaned Conor McGregor (98 pop) in the Semi-Finals 2. Ultimate Spider Jr. 3. Axel Dieter Jr. - Currently on 5 title defenses 4. Fabian Aichner - Same as Dieter Jr. 5. Ilja Dragunov - Former BOLA winner, former 2 time Tag-Team champion with Alex Koslov Who's Not 1. Dale Patricks - Tag-Team Jobber, so no surprise 2. Super Delfin II - Legacy regen. Just rejoined the main roster after being buried in a developmental run in NOAH 3. Josh Crane - Dale Patricks' Tag-Team partner 4. Shaul Guerrero - Didn't do nearly as good as I hoped she would 5. Edge - Tbh...Not much use for him atm, aside from pop-farming Time Decline: 1. Jun Kasai (47) - Hired him to have some Hardcore matches with Nick Gage. Gage quit, now Kasai is just there 2. Minoru Suzuki (54) 3. Edge (48) 4. Suwama (45) - Got him after pillaging a company. He was only really used as a first feud for a pillaged champion. Former TWL Universal Champion 5. Fantasma (38) - Most dissapointing hiring of the save so far

There is also a tick box to "Exclude Gimmicks that don't suit the worker".</p><p> </p><p> If the gimmick isn't too outlandish in subtlety, risk, etc., it will rarely be worse than Average and even then it will very likely improve over time.</p>
  4. <p>Everything is Broken indeed. The AI knows how to do random shows the best</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="BkcyQse.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BkcyQse.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  5. Booking a great Women's division is part of the fun of playing as WWE/F in historical mods
  6. Gimmicks come in a range. No gimmick will always be "Average" for a worker. A gimmick could be "Average", but later become "Above Average" once the worker "Gets better at him gimmick". The initial effect is indeed random. But that is the risk with them. Just to see how it works...the next time you debut a gimmick on a show look at the initial rating, then back out and reload the save and start the show again. Chances are pretty low that the Debut rating of the gimmick will be the same.
  7. PWG (2022): PWG World Heavyweight: Jeff Cobb (2), def. PAC PWG World Tag-Team: RINGKAMPF (Axel Dieter Jr & Fabian Aichner) (1), def. Tyler Bateman & Brody King PWG International Television: Will Ospreay (1), def. Akira Tozawa TWL Universal: Kaito Kiyomiya (2), def. Suwama BOLA 2021: Jeff Cobb (2), def. Axel Dieter Jr & Akira Tozawa in the finals DDT4 2022: Violence Unlimited (Tyler Bateman & Brody King) (1), def. RINGKAMPF (Axel Dieter Jr & Fabian Aichner) and The Wilder Brothers (Scott & Steven Wilder) in the finals
  8. Under "User Preferences". There is an option that hides the Dirt Sheet section. That option needs to be off.
  9. <p>I think you're underrating the challenge of playing as a lower-end company.</p><p> </p><p> I'm using a 2001 mod for my Road To Glory playthroughs and it's difficult as hell to get a company going. All great workers (future and at the start of 2001) in Mexico and Japan are loyal to the bigger companies, that tour almost every day. In territories such as the British Isles, Europe and Australia there is a lack of standout talent at that time. The British wrestling scene was basically at its low-end and the others are just now, in the 2010s+, becoming great competitively.</p><p> </p><p> Every decent worker gets written contracts with WWE or WCW in the USA and all the others will jump over to ROH, TNA & co., once they're available.</p>
  10. Create a Local/Small (or just any lower-end) promotion and fill it with 10+ newly created rookies. Use the Road to Glory setup to create the wrestlers. Give them all loyalty to the company and create a Dojo for the company. You can hire non-wrestlers as much as you want, but wrestlers HAVE to come from one of your Dojos. It's both a challenge, aswell as an interesting way to experience the game from a whole different perspective. It also gives you a closer bond to the created people.
  11. <p><img alt="RnvlWaq.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/RnvlWaq.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> She lost her IWA Mid South Women's Championship on this show aswell</p>
  12. I personally use the 2001 Death of WCW mod. There are enough cheap people to hire early on (200 PPA and lower) and there are alot of rookies coming through each month
  13. Just try switching promotions. Since you can pick Cult & National now, you shouldn't need to reset to continue^^
  14. I think people need to stop caring too much about the grades when they want to push someone to main event quickly. You just need to eat the penalties for a while. That's exactly how wrestling always works. Look at Roman Reigns push to the top. Or Braun Strowman, who basically did nothing but angles based on his Menace for months to no end.
  15. Just autobook the brands that you don't want to play as or create them as individual companies
  16. You still need to borrow the title. If the champion is someone not on your roster, then they will be available for the show, unless they have priority elsewhere.
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="cool name" data-cite="cool name" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>For match aims, if I pick epic, spectacle or once in a life time would I have to add the slow build aim as well or is that included?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The description of Epic and Spectacle atleast already says that it includes the "Slow Build" by default. It's basically implied whenever a aim requires the match to be atleast 15 minutes. The opposite is also the case for match aims that require less than 15 minutes. Like Wild Brawl, Car Crash, High Spots, etc.</p>
  18. Imho I always took it more as something like a "language" barrier, than actual language being spoken. After all "Central European" contains more languages than the other selectables combined. IRL someone like Jay White cuts promos in New Japan all the time...but he cuts them in English. And that is good enough. Making it harder to learn a new language, would honestly just be a annoyance to deal with, as it already is currently. Most companies offer English versions of their products one way or the other anyway.
  19. In my current RW playthrough I brought Jeff Cobb into WWE for 3 Appearances, as I wanted to include him in my KotR tournament. Wanted to give him a squash match before on PPV and the local talent I hired injured him for 8 months, then 13 months after surgery went wrong He was PWG World, NEVER Openweight and ROH TV & World Champion at the time. Needless to say I hired that local talent and Pudered him by my unsafest workers
  20. <p>To add to that...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Main Event Announcer</strong> - Commentator/Announcer gets a slight boost while calling matches of more popular workers.</p><p> </p><p> Think of WWE calling JR in on a few special occasions for big matches in the past. Add that plus some level of the above suggested <strong>Sneering </strong>and you get present day JR.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Story Telling Announcer</strong> - Commentator/Announcer gets a slight boost while calling matches of less popular workers.</p><p> </p><p> Think of William Regal in NXT, who managed to engage the viewers in unknown workers by giving them a backstory and telling a story on commentary to boost the match, although it's basically two unknowns having a match. Think of Hunico & Camacho in NXT.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Emotional Announcer</strong> - The Commentator/Announcer is better in longer segments/matches.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Factual Announcer</strong> - The Commentator/Announcer is better in shorter segments/matches.</p>
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="RingRider" data-cite="RingRider" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It doesn't have to be a storyline... Workers change and alter their names and monikers all the time without a ton of fanfare... Just retitle him Sir William and rename Dundee... Call him "Patsy" or something...<p> </p><p> Or you could storyline it out...but just offering an alternative line of thought.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> That, or extend the name "Sir William" to "Sir William Dundee", giving the duo a potential to be even more of a bunch of royal/knighted snobs.</p>
  22. It's basically the case of WWE losing its touch with the fans. What the WWE wants their Raw & SmackDown product to be and what the fans are looking for are two very different things. WWE still books as "PG Sports Entertainment", but in actuality ratings and show quality are falling, because fans aren't buying that anymore. It's an important destinction most mods don't keep in mind. "Product" sets what kind of fanbase the company will have, not how it is actually booked by a Booker with a "Sports Entertainment" and "Look" bias. WWE's product is there, Classic Sports Entertainment, if you keep the falling fanbase in mind
  23. <p>For the second thing you need to uncheck the Filter.</p><p> </p><p> Although you still have to make sure that the person has a assigned push to them</p>
  24. Buy them and have them as a "Child Company". That way you can even simulate the WWF giving them money, before ECW folded
