1. Feels like my NXT experience was a mix of the 2 posted above. I lost all my TV deals super fast, but I only lost Finn Balor to call ups. My first PPV went fairly well, with Cole going over Balor and Gargano in the main event. My women's division was really going well. I bought in a few popular females to try and give the rub to people like Io and Rhea (who had 0 popularity at the start despite being the champion) and it was working well. Rhea went up to 25 in the first month and Io was up a bit too. Unfortunately, it was Taryn Terrell, one of my signings to try and give Rhea the rub, who got super over with the young girl demographic, so I may have to be careful with that and how I book her, maybe not feed her to Rhea as planned. I was enjoying the game but my low ratings combined with losing all my TV deals (and not being able to negotiate new ones for a year!) had me considering starting over when the full game is released. I think if I asked for less high profile time slots at the start... maybe I could have kept those deals? Oh also, WWE never sent me anyone except a random referee I think.... it's good to know they can do that, but I wonder why they didn't for me if they sent you so many.
 2. Is there a way to loan a wrestler from a parent company (NXT from WWE) for more than 1 show?
 3. I think I will stick with them, I'm just wondering how failing the age one would actually work. Obviously my approval drops but is the goal completely failed and replaced, or can I fail it multiple times in the time period and drop even further for doing so? I don't overly want to fail it at all but for Hogan/Flair it might be worth it.
 4. I had the same concerns and after a bit of research decided to do mine as an angle with a title change. Worked a charm as it scored higher than the World Title match that came before it and lead to a great scoring show overall.
 5. In my previous game, they divorced because she was having an affair with Chris Hero, so I bet Hunter was damn glad he put all that work into NXT...
 6. The problem is that Lawler is still listed as a wrestler, so I get a warning message when I approach him. If I give him a non-wrestling role, will I still fail? I can't approach him for a while now anyway after pulling out of negotiations before, but it would be nice to pair him with JR when I can. Also, if I fail it (say by hiring Hogan) will it be replaced by another goal? And if so, will that goal be similar (e.g. another age restriction) or could it be completely different?
 7. So I'm playing only my second ever file, after taking WCPW to become bigger than WWE within about 2 years which was way too easy. This time I'm booking WWF during the invasion. This means no competition really, but it's fun to rebook the first major storyline I ever saw. The key points from the first 3 months are: - I opened my own development fed (given the original name of NXT, because OVW and the other one weren't doing enough shows) and filled it with all the talent from my existing feds, plus a bunch of new signings such as Punk, Bryan, Styles etc. So far, Punk and Bryan have graduated as a tag team (with excellent chemistry, but unfortunately Bryan is a freelancer so he won't be here forever) and so have Cena and Orton (again with chemistry as a team). Punk also has awesome chemistry with his manager, Sunny, so he is well positioned to be a big name one day. To keep things even, Punk and Bryan graduated to WCW and Cena and Orton to WWF. - One of my owner goals is to not hire anyone over 40, which rules out the likes of Hogan and Flair whenever they are available and not off limits due to "legal reasons". I also wasn't sure if it would let me hire King as a commentator, so instead I bought him in as the owner of NXT, with Dutch Mantell as head booker. - Another owner goal is to increase the popularity of Faarooq of all people. As a result I had him defect to the alliance as a heel and then win KOTR. I made a decision that KOTR gave him a title shot whenever he wanted (like MITB) and I had him cash that in at Bash at the Beach (which replaced Summerslam) to win the WWF title from The Undertaker. Faarooq of all people is my WWF champion. Fortunately, he's gotten really good, and while I don't see him holding it long, it's kind of interesting to me to allow the goals to effect booking. - Most of the WCW talent I had at the start, such as Mike Awesome, Kanyon and Buff Bagwell are all in rehab... along with Eddie, Jeff, X-Pac, Test and no doubt others. Drugs are a real problem in this time period (obviously). - To compensate for that there has been (like real life) a bunch of defections. For the most part I tried to limit those to people with some history in WCW or ECW (Stone Cold, Triple H, Faarooq, Regal, Big Show, Dudleyz etc) but there were some that didn't have the history, namely Bradshaw (to keep the APA together) and Trish (because Trish/Lita was my money Diva feud, and I didn't want to split Lita from the Hardyz). Bash at the Beach was a huge success, and the story I had with it was WCW walked out with every single championship with Bryan capturing the Cruiserweight Title, CM Punk winning the IC (merging it with the European which is now retired), Trish winning back the Women's Title from Lita, Benoit retaining his US title and then defecting to WCW by powerbombing Angle off the stage and Faarooq cashing in his title shot to beat The Undertaker after he had already beaten HHH in a Hell in a Cell. From there the story I'm planning to tell is essentially Vince trying to start the company over without the titles, but the WCW guys showing up to ruin matches, while not actually competing, until their demands are met. I plan to eventually have RAW replaced by Nitro, but haven't made any concrete plans beyond that. My only gripe with the owner goals is they last so long. I would rather be able to achieve them and get new goals, rather than having to keep Faarooq popular for almost 2 years.... but oh well, I'm still enjoying them as this is my first file with them. He obviously can't remain WWF Champion for long, but if you told me when I started this game Faarooq would be WWF Champion and KOTR I would never have believed it. Just hoping for some more people coming through from NXT to replace the amount of talent I lost when I finally decided to drug test everyone.
 8. I'm not sure that you can, but once you get to a certain size, it doesn't matter anyway and you can hire anyone from any region.

Free to air will gain you the most popularity but make no money. PPV will make the most money but only if you’re already popular enough for people to buy it, and your popularity won’t rise much if at all from being on PPV. Commercial and subscription are kind of in the middle and I believe subscription makes slightly more money and commercial slightly more popularity, but obviously you also need to factor in the size of the broadcasters available.

I'm debating whether it's worth the gamble to take the penalties due to having weaker star power than WWE in a National Battle versus catching up to them faster if I can get my guys seen by a bigger audience.

I don't know for sure as I'm kind of new to the game, but the one time I did it, the difference seemed fairly significant. I went into national battles with WWE as a result but I destroyed them thanks to signing up some of their huge star power guys like The Rock and Lesnar, but I'm not sure if the mod I played was just particularly easy or not. If you don't have high enough star power to compete, I would wait until you do.

 11.

Does promotion size dictate what level of TV deal you can get? I'm currently playing as TNA in a 2005 mod - I'm holding back on going National because my stars aren't ready to compete with WWE but I can't seem to get any TV deal above "Medium" and can't get anything above a Late Evening slot for those stations. Is it a case of gambling on going up to National for better deals while also trying to withstand the penalties that I'll get for having a weaker roster than WWE?

Also, I've yet to try having a figurehead in the game as I never have anyone who's completely right. Is it possible to have a successful figurehead while there's still some negatives against him or is it better to wait until the absolute right guy comes along/is over enough?

I believe broadcasters are based entirely on popularity in the region. In the editor you can see the requirements for each broadcaster.

 12. Thanks, I'm thinking I'll give it a try when he will talk to me again and if it fails, I'll just reload the game. I've checked other non-wrestlers who are over 40 and they don't cause an issue, so hopefully it doesn't. I originally misread the reply I got here and thought he was saying I'd get one warning for hiring someone before I failed, which would have been nice, but I'm guessing he was actually talking about the warning which flags up when I go to negotiate, which is what caused me to pull out of negotiations last time. It'll be a bit annoying if I could have had him this whole time and messed it up, but oh well. This is my first game with 'owner goals' so I was bound to make a mistake or two.
 13. There is a specific "hardcore" stat, so I'm guessing that, but I constantly get people complain about the same thing.
 14. Thank you. It's not a majorly important goal, so maybe I could get away with it, but after pulling out of negotiations once, he won't talk to me anyway, so I guess I don't need to worry about it for a while.
 15. Thanks for that. It probably means it's best to hold off though, as if I only get one warning it's probably best not to waste it on a commentator. I have another question as this is my second file I've ever tried... I've noticed that unlike my first file, when I check out someone's top 10 matches, for example, or even the results after I book a card, it doesn't tell me what type of match it was. Is there a way I can fix this? I used to find that useful in my other file for knowing who was good at which matches.
 16. I have a quick question about owner goals: If the goal is not to hire any wrestlers over 40, would you fail this if you hired someone who is over 40 in a non-wrestling role? The guy in question is a wrestler and a commentator but I only want him as a commentator, but I'm thinking I'll still fail, even if the contract stipulates he can't wrestle.
 17.
I looked that up previously because my TV show was doing really well but still "very low". I think it said that rating doesn't effect anything so to just ignore it.

PPVs I believe you set yourself when you create them.

 18.
I have her on both brands, because she's my figurehead, so not really. Besides, it's not just her that seems to have declined. But maybe it's something more simple like that. I just freaked out a bit when a months worth of shows pretty much barely scraped by what the broadcasters expect, when usually I'm safely above that. Doesn't seem like it's anything broken though, and should keep the game from getting stale for a bit longer before I try a new save.

I am finding I keep getting notes about needing to add someone with better Psychology in a lot of matches, a lot more often than I used to get it. My matches that include my Ring Generals don't seem to be suffering to the same extent.

 19.
Thanks Chunk, I didn't know that was an option but I'll look into it.

I think I may be going a bit crazy. I just loaded one of my really old files from when I was experimenting with the game before playing it properly, and the product is set up exactly the same way. I could have sworn I was Popularity > Performance and that really is the only way I can explain certain people in my game becoming top stars and putting on 95+ rated matches almost every time despite the fact they don't have good stats. For example, Sasha Banks, after a body type change had 97 star power so I pushed her to the moon and she averaged a 92 in matches last year from 80 matches (ranging from 76-99). She's only "good" in ring, not great or excellent, so I assumed this was due to her popularity. So far since the brand split she's only averaging 85 so it's been a noticeable drop off, as there has been with quite a lot of people (and I don't think it's because I've split the roster, most matches I do even if they are people I've used together before are disappointing me with the ratings).

Apologies for wasting people's time, I don't think my product settings got messed up at all. Maybe there's some other factor I haven't considered.

 20.

I could be wrong but I think I read once that your product can change based off of how you book it. I'm not sure how that would change from POP to Performance but I guess if you don't do enough "mainstream" type things and have maybe booked your shows a certain way, the audience has "gotten used to" that, so to speak.

I know it works like this for your Developmental companies for sure. Like I have a TNA mod where I bought a developmental and changed its entire product to match TNA, but it warned me that based off of who I hired for my owner and booker that my product could slowly change based off of their preferences and how they book the shows.

Thanks for that, I'm yet to try and Development fed, but it's one of the things I want to do soon.

I'm still a bit stumped as to how this has happened, and more so, why I can't change it. It doesn't seem right that as the owner I can't set the product to whatever I want. Sure there could be a warning like "Our fans aren't used to this and it may hurt our popularity" or whatever, but barring me from doing it at all seems strange. I even thought it might be something to do with particular Broadcasters, but it doesn't seem to be that either.

Guess I may just have to adapt to it, but it'll probably completely change who I push etc.

 21.
I think they were both just "Major" brands.

Is there a different focus that would be a better choice?

Edit- I ended the brand split as a test and I still can't set "Mainstream", "Comedy" etc as anything above "Very low".

I also tried changing the focus (which was "Normal") to Mainstream and still couldn't set that above Very Low.

 22.
Hi everyone, I'm a new player (only discovered the game a few months ago) and have been reading here since I started and it's been a great help, but I've finally come across something I can't find an answer to.... hopefully someone can help!

I've been playing a real world mod with a small company and my product has always been Popularity > Performance which I believe was the default. I've risen up the ranks and just recently overtaken WWE as the #1 company but then all of a sudden my product has changed to performance > popularity with no warning and me not changing it myself. I am the owner of the company but even so it won't let me edit this because anything I set to higher than "Very Low" is "too high for this company".

Other than over taking WWE, the only other recent event that could have caused this is me implementing a brand split, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

So I guess my question is 1) What could have caused my product to just change like that? and 2) What is it that's setting those limits to prevent me from changing it back?

I'm not opposed to the new challenge, but it's going to ruin my Figurehead at the very least.
