  1. As the booking committee leaves the hall, Shane Helms comes up to me and says he has an idea. He says he knows I am busy and he is willing to split a cab with me to give me the details. I told him there is no need for that as Foley is going to drive me back to the hotel and he can catch a ride with us. We all pile into Foley’s car a bag of left overs in the back seat. Foley shrugs I’m cheap that is food for the next few days for me. I love Foley, he is always a man who wants to save some cash. So I turn around to Helms and ask him what his idea is. He says that with how strong NOS is, he was thinking that we could really use someone to start to oppose them. Maybe not someone to take them down but it is time that people really start to stand up to them even if they get run over. He then proceeds to tell me an idea he has had for a while. I grinned. I said it was kind of goofy but it wasn’t the worst idea I have ever heard. I turned to Mick and asked him what he thought. He said he likes it. The kids will like it, and even the older guys who won’t like it won’t say too much because he is so good in the ring that they won’t be able to bash him to hard. I said so it is decided your idea becomes realty on Nitro good luck. The conversation took us all the way to the hotel. We climbed out of the car and patted him on the back. If it doesn’t work don’t worry we will find something for you. If it does you will know it was because you were willing to try. I really like having you around. You’re a good man and someone I have faith in. You make WCW a better place so please stay true to who you are. He sticks out his hand and I brush it aside and give him a quick hug. Then the three of us part ways in the lobby heading to different rooms.
  2. I was standing on top of a make shift platform a podium not far away. The wrestlers, and other talent, and wcw employees seated around a number of tables. The left over plates from desert were being ushered away when I stood and approached the podium. I didn’t even have to hush the crowd as everyone but, Dusty went quite. I waited for him to finish his story he was telling some green kids from development. Dusty noticed I was waiting for him and turned around and apologized. I told him never to say sorry for passing on the history of this great sport. That the kids need to know where we came from so we can get where we are going. This earned a round of applause from everyone and embarrassed Dusty in the process. I took a moment to thank everyone for the hard work they had put in since I had taken over the company. I let them know we had just finished our first full year as a company since I got the reigns. I noted how far we had come. How far my vision still had us to go. I let everyone know how my sister has decide to wage war on us and has already swooped in and picked up the Hawk and Animal. I raised my hand to the men as some were getting rowdy. I don’t blame then and I don’t want anyone to burn any bridges. Just because my sister hates me if a move to the WWF makes sense for you, and your family. I will never take it personally. We still have a way to go before we are ready to go head to head with them. However, we are a lot closer than I anticipated. With that. I used some of my connections, and that is why I have brought you all here today. If we are going to truly go toe to toe and be an alternative for the wrestling fans out there. Well then we need to be on a station that can get us in front of more of those fans. For years my family had a great partnership. My father jumped ship to another broadcaster not long before his death. That has left a gaping hole in their weekly tv. While normally this company wouldn’t even talk to a company our size. They have made an exception for us on a short 1 year trial bases. My thought is by this time next year we will have earned our spot and we won’t have to use my connections to have earned the right to be on this station. Now the mumming was starting as people have started to put the pieces together. I cleared my throat to get silence once again. FX has been a great partner and one we won’t forget. However, starting next month we will be moving Nitro to the USA network. This caused the boys to cheer as I was hoping for. It was a big moment for us. FX had helped us regain a number of lost fans. But, to truly compete we will need to be in more households then we currently are. I ended my speech with Thanking everyone once again for their hard work. As everyone filed out the booking committee got a summons to stay behind. We took over a round table while the workers were busy getting the little hall I had rented back in order. I asked each man for their thoughts on going to USA. They all pretty much said the same thing. That it’s going to really tick off my sister and it will bring the war to our doorstep. I agreed with them but, said my sister was already bringing the war. She is going to outbid us for every top talent that becomes free in the next year. It is going to take either giving away more than we are comfortable with to keep some of them, or we are going to have to lean on the new guys even more. That is when I let them in on the even bigger news. That once we, were big enough to be considered national in the newsletters. USA wanted us to move back to Monday Nights. This got a really big reactions from everyone. They said we had established Tuesday as the night of WCW. I just held up my hand. I said look. We are already putting out better shows then them week after week. It won’t be long before we have as many viewers as them on a weekly basis. In order to get onto a major network early I had to make some concessions this was one of them. So we had one more month with FX and I wanted to go out with a bang so I made sure everything was in line for out next pay per view the Clash of Champions. *So yes I did go into the editor to make this happen. However, I honestly feel like Shane would have the connections to get a company on the verge of the next big step onto USA. After the deal was in place I did go back into the editor and change the USA network back to there normal settings so if we don't grow in the year we will be kicked off. However, I'm not to worried about that, as I think we will hit national sometime in the fall.*
  3. <p>The crowd was still filing out as I gave a speech to the boys in the back. I told them I was going to keep it short and sweet as I had a big announcement tomorrow at the company meeting. I praised Christian, Flair, and Jericho on such great performances tonight. I let everyone know that we were going to continue putting on great shows and we would soon be as big if not bigger than WCW was at the height of its run in the Monday Night War. The men all cheered and started to scatter as I sat back down trying to cross some t’s and dot some I’s . </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Prediction contest to date</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46629" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><p> JoshSpicer 30</p><p> Bishadman 26</p><p> Electric X 7</p><p> </p><p> [/Quote]</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Bonus Point</p><p> </p><p> What is the big announcement from Shane?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> *Writers note- Starting with this show and going for the next 6 months I have lowered Ric Flair’s age – 10 years to get rid of his Time Decline. This is simply for the story line of the power of the coin as well as trying to show a short career second wind we have seen with people the last decade. At the end of the six months I will add the 10 years again and he will be back into time decline. *</p></div></blockquote>

  6. I was still in my office but could start to hear the chatter as the boys where arriving for the show. No matter how many times I go through this I still get excited before a show. The energy is something that is hard to explain if you haven’t been around it. This show has some people nervous as I have given Sting the night off, Edge and Christian are out hurt. The legion of Doom are off to the WWF. Yet, I’m still confident we will put on a great show and continue to establish our guys. I had been on the phones for the last few days and hope to make a big announcement in a company meeting the day after the show. A knock on the door snaps me back to reality. I look up to see the big frame of Mike Sanders. I signal to a chair that he takes. I ask him what’s going on. He said he has been frustrated. He went to rehab has done his time and knew he would have to eat crow upon his return. He says that he has been doing that and isn’t trying to cause waves. He says that he feels directionless since the Triple Threat dissolved. I understood his point. To be honest I had been scared to give Awesome too big of a role since his return as I was afraid I would have to send him away again. Yet, it does appear that his rehab stint has paid off and he hasn’t had a problem since his return. I told him there was a spot in a program he would fit. It wouldn’t put him into the world title picture or anything. However, it was a big role and it would help him prove himself to me and the fans. He said that is all he wants. I tell him I will talks to him more about it on Nitro. He thanks me and leaves. A Few minutes later Bret Hart walks in, he says that he has a list of some names of some young kids from Canada who could really use a place to work. He said they all are chomping just for a shot. I told him to get the list to Fit Finely in Wild Side and get them working down there. I asked him if there was anything else I could do for him? He said not right now. Bret had his hand on the pulse of Canadian wrestling if he said those kids were good. They were either his family or they really were good. Either way they all should develop well and have a chance to be something. I stick my head out of the office can see the hustle and bustle of the preshow rush going on. Before I go back into my makeshift arena office I spot Chris Jericho and wave him in. He finishes his conversation with one of our boys who builds and breaks down our ring week in and week out. He sits down in the seat without being prompted. I asked him how things were going? How he was enjoying WCW so far. He smiled and said he can honestly say he never thought he would be happy to be in WCW. His past is well documented and how hard he fought to get into WWF. He said as I know he was upset I choose him at first but now he understands. That he can see I’m really trying to establish a new wave of talent while still giving the veterans runs, and stories that make sense. He says for the first time ever he’s shocked to say he is happy to be in WCW over WWF. I told him that we have been pushing him as our figure head and while the results aren’t out yet it’s obvious to me that he is having a great impact on our product. That I am happy he is on board. I laid out a few ideas I had for this show, and some ideas moving forward. He said he’s pretty excited for the future. He stands up to leave and we bump fists. Things were going smoothly for us. Even though things change, I can honestly feel like we are in a strong position to continue and really ramp up our battle with the WWF. Prediction results to date. (Through Tag tournament round 2)

  10. I have been meaning to post since the big show came out. Really enjoyed it! Was surprised my prediction were as spot on as they were. However the way you brought it to life was great. Really reminded me when I was a kid and started watching with my dad. I was a young pup back then I don’t remember much but I remember wrestling on tv with my dad.
  11. <p>I praised Straight Phenomenal and Edge for a great match and let the locker room know that Christian had been injured but it shouldn’t sideline him for too long. The show wasn’t as good as I would have liked but it was far from bad. I found out only later that Booker T was working with the flu which is what I attributed to his less than stellar performance. Jericho looked amazing though so I was pretty happy with what we had going forward. It also gave me a lot of respect for Booker he could have bowed out and left me scrambling for a main event but he powered through. </p><p> </p><p> Before I could leave the arena that night there was a knock on the door and Sting walked in and sat down across from me. I wasn’t really expecting to see Steve at the moment so it was a bit of a shock. Of course anytime I saw him without the crow face paint it threw me off. I asked him what I could do for him. He said he wanted to talk to me about a underused talent. I was really hoping it wasn’t him as I was using him to establish our young guys while still keeping him strong. He said, while the narrative has been that he doesn’t like this person, we are vastly under using Shane Douglas. He said he wants to prove it to me and asked me to put him into a program with him. He then said after that, do what you want but a program with him and RVD with or without a belt would have drawing power. Especially in the Northeast if I was planning to keep going up there for shows. It was true, I hadn’t really thought of Douglas as more than a good in ring hand. That bias could stem from my father’s dislike of the man. If Steve felt this strongly about him I’m not sure I can really not pull the trigger. I nod my head. You can have one month you and him have free reign to build it up. But, it won’t be next month I already have plans for you to have a month off. He tried to fight me on it, but I assured him I wanted him to have some time to recover and relax. I explained I had big plans for him and I needed him to be geared up and ready to go. He thanks me and heads out. I stick my head out to make sure no one else was waiting for me when I see Shane Helms walking the other way. I give a quick whistle and he turns around. I signal for him to come into my office. </p><p> </p><p> Shane comes in and sits down. I said it wasn’t like him to be lurking around this late. Then he came clean and said he was going to come talk to me but he saw I was with Steve and decided it wasn’t important enough to interrupt. I told him he can always poke his head in and ask for next. This seemed to put him at ease a little. I asked him what I could do for him. He said that he was really depressed as he hasn’t really been showcased a lot and so he doesn’t feel like he has any real direction or way to move up the card. I sit back in my chair thinking. This was a guy when I came in I was really high on and have let his momentum dwindle because he makes everyone else look so good. I let him know it wasn’t anything personal and that in fact he has been so good at making stars I have indeed forgot to make him look strong to the more casual fans. I let him know that he is very respected and most guys don’t even realize he has stalled. I was honest with him and let him know that I didn’t have any plans for him right now. But, to go home take a month off and regroup. Then when he came back we would figure out a plan to showcase him. This seemed to please him as he got up and left with a big grin on his face. </p><p> </p><p> I packed my things and was about to leave when Dusty waddled in. He asked if I had a moment. I said indeed I do. That I was just about to come and talk to him about something myself. He said by all means you go first. I told him about my meeting with Shane and asked if any of the others guys we have stalled had more talent than I was seeing, or if we were using them to put others over because they made them look good without giving them to much of a shot. Dusty said, that some of the boys have complained. However, they are boys he doesn’t think will make much in the business. He says really Shawn Stasiak and Mike Sanders are both jokes at this point. I asked if he saw a use for them. He said yea fodder for people to win over. That, that’s just part of the business not everyone is made out to be stars. Then I asked him if we had anyone that I was pushing who wasn’t a Star or one in the making. He said a lot of the mummers in the back are that Cesaro and Roode aren’t charismatic enough to be big time players. I scoffed at that. I said both of those men aren’t even 25 yet. I see plenty of charisma they are still just finding themselves. Dusty threw his hands up. I didn’t say I agreed. Just letting you know the mummers. He said a lot of people are also mad at the push we gave Killings coming in from WWF that it makes the WWF look to strong. I asked him this time what he thought up front. He said Ron is so charismatic that he was going to get over no matter if he stayed there or came here. He is happy that he is here with us. He did say he needs some in ring work to be top tier but for now he is a great gate keeper that can poke his head in with the big boys and not look out of place. I thanked him. Then asked what he wanted. He laughed and said he almost forgot he was the one coming in to talk. He then said that I needed to start thinking about a foil to NOS. That we have done a great job building them up but we don’t want them to be the new NWO. That we need to figure out the foil, or wrinkle and if nothing else start to lay the ground work to oppose them. I agreed the world is leery of a big group taking over for too long. At least without showing they have flaws and weakness. I wasn’t sure I was ready to pull the trigger on that yet. I let Dusty in on the plan I had in my head. How I had an idea that stretched pretty far into the future if everyone could stay healthy. He was impressed and patted me on the back. </p><p> </p><p> *The Next Day*</p><p> </p><p> I was sitting in my office with the Road Warriors walked in no knock, no hello just walked in and sat down. I didn’t have them on my schedule and my receptionist was rushing in behind them I just threw my hand up so she knew it was ok. I asked them what I owed the pleasure to. Road Warrior Animal said they needed to talk to me. That their contracts were coming up at the end of February and they weren’t going to resign with WCW. That they already had letters of intent with WWF and wanted to let me know man to man before my sister, or anyone else called and told me. I was a bit taken aback by the honesty. However, I don’t know why these are true professionals out of the 80’s getting the last run they can and, they had their time with us and wanted to move on it was what they knew. I won’t lie I hadn’t planned to resign them anyway so this saved me an awkward conversation. I thanked them for what they have done and asked if they wanted February off? They said no. I said well, I will use you on some of our Nitro’s but I will keep you off of SuperBrawl. I don’t have anything worthy of you to be used at a pay per view. I one again thanks them and they left the office. </p><p> </p><p> They couldn’t have been out of the office for more than 10 mins when I got an email from my sister. The title simply read. I just signed your best tag team! HAHAHAHAHA. I was able to delete it without having to see what else she had to say I’m sure it wasn’t anything nice. To be honest, I felt like I had three to four teams better than the Road Warriors anyway, not in popularity but in performance for sure. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I then got a call one I had been expecting but didn’t want to receive. It turned out that Christian was indeed hurt and would miss a month maybe a little more. I called Christian and asked if he could show up at Nitro to give up the belts he gave a sigh and said yes. I told him not to be said this was going to lead to bigger things when he got back. I then called Adam Copeland to tell him the news as well. He said he understood. I also said I was giving him time off until Christian could come back. He said he didn’t need it but I insisted. I then had our graphics team whip up a tag team tournament announcement for the website and Nitro on Tuesday. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <img alt="njS1Grh.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/njS1Grh.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> 1 point per correct prediction</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Prediction results to date</p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46629" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div> <p> Josh Spicer 7</p><p> Bishadman 5</p><p> [/Quote]</p></div></blockquote>

Rood covers hawk while Cesaro makes his way to the corner the ref turns around and counts the three. </p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> Time: 7:13</p><p> <img alt="rnOjMH6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rnOjMH6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> 71</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> [/Quote]</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46629" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <img alt="gmqqf1W.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gmqqf1W.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WLD6tS9.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WLD6tS9.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> We go backstage and see Scott Steiner posing in front of a mirror. 14. Alright, So... I kind of went crazy this weekend. My wife and Step son weren't around. He was with his father and she got called into work. So I played this save up to May and have formatted Nitro recaps and PPV's up through April. so the question I have for my readers. Would you rather me continue to post on my current pace? Or show vomit to right before the May PPV? I'm honestly ok with either. It really comes down to if you all would prefer to continue to predict every ppv or want to "Fast Forward" this diary. Let me know. I will be posting New Years Evil Monday or Tuesday regardless. Also would anyone be willing to do a PPV banner for me? I don't want anything crazy. Just a black and red banner with the WCW logo and Sins of Summer. my limited skill and only option being paint really hinders what I can do graphically.

  21. A brief year in review. What a year it was, Turner decided to sell WCW to my father killing the Monday night wars in the process. Then while on top of the mountain having finally slain the dragon my father laid down and passed away. That is when things really started to speed up. I got control of WCW in the will. I was able to take 5 people with me and well I was off to the races trying to reestablish the company that nearly bankrupt my family. I surround myself with very smart men from the business to help me run the company. I also stole three Canadian born stars to help anchor the already established roster and shake things up. I tried to finish off old story-lines while weaving in my new guys and establish some of the men who should have been spotlighted at the end of the original WCW run. A talent came in and presented a story-line that is just now really starting to snowball into something fun and big. He created NOS and had the idea that they are powered by demons that were in-bedded in the silver coins Judas received to betray Jesus Christ. The stable is just starting to gain momentum and I think it has a change to be something special. Jericho has finally got his hands on the big gold belt that had eluded him in his first run with WCW. We are starting to really get our fan base back up and running adding new viewers and having some of the old crowd return. The whole time my sister was trying in various ways to regain WCW, everything failed and now she has decided it is time to destroy us. My sister has seen what is happening and can tell we are going to be a threat so she declared war on us after we signed Ron Killings away from her. The man came to me and wanted a chance. The WWF wasn’t going to give him that. That is why I brought him in. He has talent, he has charisma, and he is solid though not spectacular in the ring. Of all things to kick off the official war between siblings trying to give a man a shot to better himself in this business. Then my wife got pregnant and never told me, and then lost the baby. She dropped that bombshell of me the night after Starrcade the consensus show of the year in all of wrestling. I should have been on cloud nine instead I was a emotional wreck along with my wife. The Start of the New Year. I stayed at home and just communicated to my team the big vision and let them take care of the small details. They did a great job building up to New Year’s Evil. My wife insisted I go and run the show. She really seems to be doing better and honestly I think she is tired of me being around. So here I am hours before the first Pay Per View of the New Year. I’m aware it won’t be as amazing as Starrcade but I think we have a solid line up. We are right on the cusp of being ranked a “ national” company then my sister will really turn up the heat. I need to get some things in line before that happens. I have some ideas and I think it will really help us if I can pull it off.
  22. Not right now because you have a good mix of teams but later when they start getting stale. Or you break up a few teams you should bring in the Best Friends. solid roster for sure can’t wait to see what you do with it. Who you bring in as you lose people etc.
  23. Maxwell Jacob Friedman He’s better than me and I know it. Honestly if his mic isn’t 80 or over its wrong.
