  1. first ppv I ever bout, waste of money. they spent so long hyping how hall of famers win the rumble, how winning it is a huge deal, then put some guy that was cleaning the stands a year ago over as winner.

at least if santino had thrown him out, I could have seen a sudden character shift, and Santina suddenly getting a push he sure as heck has earned.

glad I had friends over to watch it, that was worth the money. The PPV's first two matches, ok the rumble on the whole good. but the finish soured the whole night.

That's like saying Rey Mysterio was a rookie when he started with WWE. Seriously wrestling exists outside of the WWE, strange I know but it does :p To say a guy like Santina deserves it and Del Rio doesn't is borderline funny. One guy worked his way through OVW and the most heat he saw was an unscripted face slap from his head booker. The other was nearly an Olympic athlete, worked his way up two of the most talented rosters in the world, toured Japan and on jumping to WWE improved at a rate most thought impossible. If anyone in that ring deserved that win it was Del Rio, I marked for it :o

FTR - Fenoli called the Dos Caras, Jr win a year ago

  2. I can't remember where ot was from but the coolest image I've seen come out of Japan was a very young girl (maybe 8 or 10) giving an "Undertaker Chokeslam" to someone. Even stuck her tounge out Taker style for the pin, was just pure win.
  3. So random but I'm watching season 5 of How I Met Your Mother atm and I just finished the "Hooked" episode. What Barny says at the end about pharma girls had my jaw on the ground, I've had the exact same conversation with a co-worker just not as funny <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  4. Fixed that for ya :p

Watching it now out of sheer boredom. The Orton family doesn't interest me at all, but oh well. :p

I love when Barry O mentions cliques in wrestling and Vince shakes his head like it doesn't happen...I'm 99% sure every wrestling autobiography talks about the politics and cliques backstage

Thanks for fix, need to re-read my posts I do stuff like that so often :p

Yeah I know Vince is cringe worthy, I can't believe he still does PR they should ban him from any interviews.

  5. Ahh LB again picking and choosing which part of his "argument" to stick with and defend :D I've got 5 mins spare so I'll play along for old times sake...

If you think things like "facts" make someone a pretentious douche, I don't know what to tell you...

    Not facts, this....

If you disagree with what that other guy said, you're disagreeing with a lot of people who actually know something about the business and have gone on record as saying drawing money = being a good wrestler. It's what the fake sport is predicated on.

Your own words, only a page back ;)

Yes Virginia, arguments are won and lost via facts. In any subject. Ever. In the history of time.

Dang and I was trying so hard to win this argument, I can feel my epeen shrinking as a result :( This post proves once again you completely missed the point, but please don't let me stop you from arguing (and winning!) the facts about wrastlin.

  6. Lazorbeak, I'm not ignoring his evidence. I think it's valid. I just don't agree with his analysis.

Second, I hope to the highest power he's right, and that I'm wrong. I WANT TO BELIEVE IN HIM. I REALLY DO. But I just can't. Not after everything I've seen. It CAN'T go on like this.

This IS NOT a cyclical siutation. This Is NOT business as usual. The territories are dead. If this business shrinks and WWE is not up to the task, this business that I love to watch so much is going to die a slow death.

I want to believe. I want him to be right. But his evidence is a drop of water in a huge pond.

Amp, if anyone ever replies to one of your posts opening with this...

Sorry, Ampulator, you lose this one.

You should know it's a lost cause :) Unless you too thought you were competing for the intwerwebz epeen trophy don't feed him ;)

  7. 1. It's not my definition, so I really don't care.

Lol, well you gave it so whoevers it is I think is stupid, I explained why ;)

    2. If you disagree with what that other guy said, you're disagreeing with a lot of people who actually know something about the business and have gone on record as saying drawing money = being a good wrestler. It's what the fake sport is predicated on. As I said a post ago, I can only hope that the Scott Keith star-rating-itis goes the way of the dodo.

I could've said the exact same thing to you, I didn't want to come across as a pretentious douche so I refrained :D

    3. The fact that something is subjective doesn't mean that someone can't have an opinion that is unsupported by reasoning, data, or common sense. Since PH's opinion is supported and ampulator's not only has no support but is flat out ignoring data that contradicts his opinion, I don't see this as being much of a "discussion."

Why am I not suprised you don't. No one said you can't have an opinion on something subjective, actually that's pretty much what I was saying in my post. I find it funny you talk about data and facts in wrestling, extremely funny

  8. Sorry, Ampulator, you lose this one. You said no one can convince you that Cena is a good worker (despite throwing your hands up as to how he produced very good matches with guys like Umaga), and Hilton followed that up with a reasonable defense, namely, that in a worked sport, getting people to pay to see you is the DEFINITION of being a good worker. Making Cena one of the top workers of the freaking decade.

I disagree with your definition of a good worker, I don't think there is one. Some people enjoyed a guy like Benoit's work to the point they consider him the greatest worker of all time. Others prefer Hogan and believe he's the greatest worker ever (for the reasons you gave about drawing). I said before it's largely subjective and the fact that a reasonable debate can be had over Hogan vs Benoit only reinforces that.

It's a discussion board guys, we come here to trade thoughts and share opinions. Not prove who knows better about a fake sport that is controlled by promoters, bookers and fans making it (one more time :p ) subjective. Let's not be like the 99% of boards out there where this petty stuff takes place, it really is tired and cliche to a wrestling forum.

  9. Wow... really guys? Not even a "your girlfriend is really cool"? I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. :o

I just noticed this, lucky man! In light of recent events....

Miss Rodzen has gained popularity from this segment

Miss Rodzen has gained respect from this segment

Miss Rodzen has seen a boost to her Babyface performance skill from this segment

Logan Rodzen is now Loyal to Miss Rodzen

  10. Told the whole world it's a work.

Kevin Nash- It's still real to him, damnit!

And yea KEvin, young and talented does sell over to old to be interesting. TNA's finding that out the hard way. they've sure seen alot of improvement ratings wise for sinking a ton of cash in the old guard eh?

At least his firing shows they might be working in the right direction

I think you completely misunderstand what he said. If any guy treats wrestling like a work it's Nash.

  11. Okay I understand your point that I shouldn't call peoples opinions dumb, wrestling isn't real by any means and I never said that I thought it was the only time I thought it was real was when I was to little to know any better.

I was talking about the guys like Triple H and Austin when I made the comment about being in the business too long or taking it too seriously. Just so you know that comment wasn't directed at you :)

  12. that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, yeah you may be right he might not have a long reign but saying that he shouldn't have won it is dumb. Triple H has said it himself if you are not in the business to be the champion then you shouldn't be there.

You shouldn't call peoples opinions dumb, just sayin.

I think it was Austin who made that quote about being World champ also. I disagree with it btw, shows you guys who think like that have been in the business too long or believe the hype their promoter has built around them. Pro wrestling is fake, title belts are props.

It's not still real to me dammit! :p

  13. The miz is ready. He has been built up but not super pushed. Is he going to have a orton or hhh title run? No.......he does not need it but he is not going to have a bob backlund title run either *remember his one day title run lol*. He will most likley hold it till mania and loose it then.

I can't see him going into Mania as champ, I think he's lucky to make it to the Rumble. Nothing to do with my feelings on him just the way I see it playing out.

  14. <p>Watched Bucks vs Lakers last night. Kobe needs to find a passing game again, Shannon Brown was beyond hot (5/6 from 3pt I'm pretty sure) but couldn't get a look at the basket once Kobe came back off the bench. It got to the point I was begging for Jackson to pull him, and I like Kobe!</p><p> </p><p>

Poor Bogut, his elbow injury is still ongoing and 2-10 from the free throw killed what little momentum the Bucks had. </p><p> </p><p>

    Lakers bench is very solid.</p>

  15. <p>I really shouldn't draw any attention to this loser but it's mildly funny, it's like he's a hired troll on a mission to disrupt any wrestlers twitter he can find...</p><p> </p><p>
