In the ring to start a special PSW Weekly is Bret Hart. The Director of Operations says that this is a special Championship Edition of PSW Weekly where every championship is going to be defended. Before the titles are fought for, we're going to see Bret's nephew in action… 73

Bret struggled when going off script.

    Keiji Sakoda v Teddy Hart

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Keiji Sakoda defeated Teddy Hart in 7:15 by pinfall. 52

Teddy Hart is improving in performance skills.

Two microphones have been set up in the ring, behind one stands Eiji Ezaki, the newest Jap Pop sensation. Behind the other is Jeff Jarrett, who dabbled in country music a little while ago. The two have a sing off, with Ezaki being better and more popular, something that angers Jarrett who introduces Ezaki's head to his guitar. Ezaki bleeds, the guitar is in bits and there is no more singing tonight. 52

    Adam Copeland was good.

    Lance Storm was very underwhelming.

He says that following on from being given a talent budget and needing to make cuts, he held a meeting with all the roster where he explained the situation and asked if anybody voluntarily wanted to leave. <strong>PSW NATIONAL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

CM Punk & Colt Cabana (champions) v Roderick Strong & Sting</strong></p><p>

A decent opening match up for the tag belts. The champions looked slick while their challengers worked well together too. Even in a relatively short tag team match, Sting was getting exhausted towards the end and this cost his team even though he wasn't involved in the decision which came in 8:46 when CM Punk defeated Roderick Strong by submission with an Arm Triangle Choke. CM Punk & Colt Cabana make defence number 2 of their PSW National Tag Team Championship titles. It is now sadly clear that Sting's advancing years are overtaking him. <strong>66</strong></p><p>

Colt Cabana has switched to a comedian gimmick, rated 78.</p><p>

Roderick Strong is improving in rumble skills.</p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Daniel Lyon v D'Lo Brown</strong></p><p>

A little surprise as Daniel Lyon defeated the veteran D'Lo Brown. Since going it alone, Lyon has quietly gone about his business and is chalking up wins, slowly moving himself up the pecking order in PSW. D'Lo clearly wasn't happy about his defeat which came in 12:21 by pinfall. <strong>59</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jeff Jarrett cuts a backstage promo on Chris Jericho, saying tonight he will kick his ass and take the title. Simple. Effective. True? <strong>70</strong></p><p> </p><p>

    <span>http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/Generic04_zpsownldjao.jpg</span></p><p>

    <strong>PSW YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Kevin Steen (champion) v Jay Lethal</strong></p><p>

A keenly contested championship contest where Steen's brutality met Lethal's high octane offence. It was Steen's hard hitting that won the day as he bested his challenger in 10:36 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Kevin Steen makes defence number 2 of his PSW Youth Championship title. <strong>65</strong></p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Eiji Ezaki v Lance Storm</strong></p><p>

Grudges looked to be settled here as two men who have been attacking each other left, right and centre met for the second successive month. This time the outcome was different, though again the match was a little disappointing. Ezaki overcame his Canadian nemesis, albeit through a little skullduggery in 15:25 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. <strong>58</strong></p><p>

The two didn't click and it made for an awkward bout.</p><p> </p><p>

It's Chris Jericho's turn in the backstage interview area. He addresses his challenger for tonight, Jeff Jarrett. Jericho says he is the better wrestler, the better singer… the better man. And he'll still be champion after tonight. <strong>86</strong></p><p>

Chris Jericho improvised well during the interview.</p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>Adam Copeland v Alex Wright</strong></p><p>

Copeland has been impressive since he arrived in PSW only three weeks ago and he continued this tonight with a very good victory over the talented German. Copeland earned the win in 14:50 by pinfall with a Leaping DDT. <strong>65</strong></p><p>

    Adam Copeland looked good.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>CROWNING GLORY TAG TEAM SERIES FINAL</strong></p><p><strong>

Cade Thesz & Rob Van Dam v Desperate Measures</strong></p><p>

The first of two big Crowning Glory Series finals to determine who will challenge for the titles at the biggest show of the year. Both teams fought with purpose, taking their time a little compared to normal, keen not to make any mistakes that could cost them a place at Crowning Glory VIII. It was Thesz & Van Dam who stamped their ticket, getting a well earned shot at CM Punk and Colt Cabana by defeating the former champions Desperate Measures in 14:40 when Cade Thesz defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri by pinfall. <strong>67</strong></p><p>

Aaron Stevens needs something to freshen his character up.</p><p>

Aaron Stevens and Rob Van Dam are improving in technical skills.</p><p>

Cade Thesz & Rob Van Dam have won their first seven matches.</p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>CROWNING GLORY SERIES FINAL</strong></p><p><strong>

    AJ Styles v CM Punk</strong></p><p>

Punk comes out for his second match of the night and what a match as two of PSW's longest standing rivals squared off in their best battle yet. Action was fast paced, intense and even throughout and both men would be more than worthy winners. In the end, it was AJ who became the first man to win the Crowning Glory Series for two straight years and won it for the third time overall in the six years it has been running. He sets up his championship match for Crowning Glory VIII in 22:44 by pinfall with a Styles Clash. <strong>88 – match of the night</strong></p><p>

The two have pretty good chemistry and it lifted the match.</p><p>

AJ Styles wins his sixth match in a row.</p><p> </p><p>

    <span>http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac78/Nobby_McDonald/Generic11_zps25f9747a.jpg</span></p><p>

    <strong>PSW NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP</strong></p><p><strong>

Chris Jericho (champion) v Jeff Jarrett</strong></p><p>

Can two stars follow PSW's homegrown best? Not quite, but this was an excellent match also. There was a personal element to this match thanks to comments from the two and Jarrett's guitar show a couple of weeks back. Jericho even broke out into song halfway through the match and sounded decent, which pissed off Jarrett.</p><p>

The two battled for nearly half an hour before Jericho retained in 28:47 by submission with a Lion Tamer. Chris Jericho makes defence number 3 of his PSW National Championship title. <strong>86</strong></p><p>

    Seven in a row for Jericho.</p><p> </p><p>

    <strong>PSW WEEKLY</strong></p><p>

    Monday, week 2, September 2008</p><p>

Broadcast on STNC on Tuesday night</p><p>

    Announcers: Potter & Dusty Rhodes</p><p>

U.S. Century Bank Arena, Miami, Florida</p><p>

    <img alt="images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmZ2Eb8UndQdh—NUx4BdnTlpdbIQtskwpNsJVWzOVQGm6TUgH" data-src="https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRmZ2Eb8UndQdh%E2%80%94NUx4BdnTlpdbIQtskwpNsJVWzOVQGm6TUgH" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

A familiar start to the show as we see Director of Operations Bret Hart in the ring. Unusually though, it is Potter who joins him inside the squared circle. Potter tells Bret that PSW has been losing a lot of money over the past few months and a significant reason for this is the high amount of money being paid out to the talent. Potter tells Bret that this amount needs to be reduced, and he will take the finer detail of the new talent budget backstage, but one thing he will make public is that until the budget is reached there will be no new signings and indeed, it is likely that talent will have to leave before anyone can take their place. Bret does not look too happy. <strong>63</strong></p><p> </p><p>

CM Punk speaks from backstage. Punk says he is relieved to have got last week behind him as fighting Colt Cabana was something he did not want to do. He is happy too, having reached the Crowning Glory Series Final and he says it doesn't matter whether it is AJ Styles or Randy Orton who he will fight in the Final, he will win against either of them. <strong>72</strong></p><p> </p><p>
