  1. Little thought about hardcore companies. What if Big Magic leaves GSW and forms an MMA/hardcore hybrid to combat GSW and IPW?
  2. This does sound interesting. For DIW, I think they'll just be dead by 2020, with most of their talent going to APW or a new company. Older guys like The Comedian or Big Jim Teasdale might be out of the business. I could certainly see RAW buying APW. Perhaps they massively raid the company and ultimately force it to sell to them. They turn it into their child company with a vastly different product, making people like APW over RAW, since APW has better wrestling than RAW, similar to WWE and NXT. However, without RAW, APW is dead.
  3. Since TEW 2020 will feature India, will you be creating a unique Indian scene?

  6. Can't wait to hear about Canada Also, will certainly have to add this mod to things to play out in TEW 2016. Truthfully I might need another computer so I'll have space for TEW 2020 when it is released.
  7. Austin Hill Charismatic in the ring and awful backstage, Austin Hill is a cocky 17 year old from Los Angeles. A good looking kid, Hill is known as a young womanizer and true jerk. Wrestling only because it's cool and his currently girlfriend, Valerie Capes, likes it, Hill is actually a good competitor. After hearing about XDW through the student grapevine, he joined the company, and has risen through their ranks fast. Hill is the current XDW Aerial Assault Champion, and is looking to become the first XDW Danger Champion who is not a part of the Dangerous Five. Sammy Sensational "Sensational" Sammy Jack is one of XDW's fastest rising stars. The natural enemy of Austin Hill, Sammy is only 16 and debuted in April 2004, a full 13 months after XDW opened. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Sammy would soon find himself in contact with Xavier Reckless. Though not a part of the Dangerous Five, he did know Xavier Reckless and the two are neighbors, and Sammy sometimes joined them in wrestling. After being persuaded to start wrestling, Sammy joined XDW. Though he hasn't won any titles with them yet, he is considered one of their stars for the future. Orlando Michaels A his name suggests, Orlando Michaels is a native of Orlando Florida. A lifelong fan of wrestling, he was an inaugural member of FFP and was even a primary star for them in singles wrestling. When his family moved to California in 2004, he had to say goodbye to Florida, and soon found work with CCW. However, he soon got into a dispute with the owner of the company, Aviation, who refused to put the main title on Michaels. This eventually resulted in Michaels leaving in June 2006, but his friend Sammy Sensational introduced him to Xavier Reckless. Reckless hired him and it's obvious that the Florida native will soon be main eventing for the company. The next post will be on September 16, 2019, and will be a bit larger.

A three time XDW Danger Champion, Reckless is the primary heel of the company. Born in Los Angeles, Reckless has lived his entire life there and is used to the way of life in the southern part of the city. However, unlike others in his neighborhood, Reckless looks to make something out of his life through wrestling. Behind the scenes, Reckless is best friends with Lee Bambino, the announcer and booker of the company. Reckless hopes to break into the wrestling business at the end of the year.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Extreme Deluxe</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">The inaugural XDW Danger Champion, "The Backyard Sensation" Extreme Deluxe is the lead babyface of XDW. At the age of 13, he moved to Los Angeles and began attending school with the other students who eventually became his co-workers in Xtreme Danger Wrestling. Now a triple crown champion in the company, Sonic looks to continue to be an integral part of the company.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Daredevil Aero</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">Born in Tijuana and raised in Los Angeles, Daredevil Aero is a beloved babyface in XDW. Growing up, he had a love of pro wrestling and often wrestled in an above ground pool. Moving to dryer land, he would be a founding member of Xtreme Danger Wrestling, and is an underdog rooted for by his fans.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Fearless Blue</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"The Renegade Redneck" Fearless Blue is a true redneck from the south. They founded Xtreme Danger Wrestling, and Blue would team with his best friend Super Sonic as Redneck Rage. They're now three time XDW Tag Champions. Blue is considered the least talented and least popular member of the Dangerous Five, and has yet to win the XDW Danger Championship.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Lee Bambino</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;">"Babyface" Lee Bambino is the booker and announcer for Xtreme Danger Wrestling. The oldest of the group, Bambino is 21 years old, and is responsible for a number of tasks for XDW. He gets sponsors, beer, and manages the company website, which involves making and selling XDW's DVDs and tapes. Bambino was born in New York, but his family moved to Los Angeles when he was 2. While still in school, he would meet Xavier Reckless, and the two became best friends. It didn't take long for their group to expand to a total of 6, and Xtreme Danger Wrestling was formed, with Bambino serving as head booker. Some say he's the reason Xavier Reckless is a three time XDW Danger Champion, but Bambino has said he is unbiased, and doesn't let personal relationships interfere with his booking. As he gets older, some wonder what will happen to XDW as he prepares to debut in pro wrestling.</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The next post will be on September 9, 2019.</p>
  9. So, we still can't set a narrative where someone goes to jail or dies?
  10. I usually think of The Monteros as The Guerrero family, or at least I like to think of Gino as Eddie. I've always wanted to put him in SWF and give him Eddie's gimmick and push. To me, Spade still sitting in developmental is just impossible. Him and a number of other main eventers in RIPW have been there for a while. Spade got there in 2010. I imagine that if him and the others are there any longer, they might chose to not renew their contracts and leave for companies that will actually push them. Perhaps Spade and Lassana go to TCW. Ekuma goes to USPW. Primus goes to CGC. Scythe should be on the SWF roster. His character really doesn't belong anywhere other than SWF, unless TCW or USPW decide they want to copy Skull DeBones with Scythe.
  11. It'll obviously be a little wonky, since TEW isn't built to support local Indie companies, let alone backyard promotions. However, with some work I think it'll be alright.
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Matt_Black" data-cite="Matt_Black" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46550" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The Hollyweird Grappling Company will return! Sort of. BriCo wants a very cartoonish product for a toyline, while TCW wants a developmental company. So they bring back HGC as a separate brand and stick all the young indie workers there, give them outlandish gimmicks, and see who can work well despite the ridiculousness.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I feel like if that were going to happen, they would've done it right after they bought the company. Also, I don't think Cornell would've sold it to them if they were going to do that.</p>
  13. http://imgur.com/a/bRHvhxM Xtreme Danger Wrestling Xtreme Danger Wrestling is the top backyard wrestling promotion in the country. Based in Los Angeles, it was founded by Xavier Reckless when he was in high school. Reckless promoted his promotion heavily, and it's inaugural roster consisted of teenagers who he attended school with. It's five main stars, Super Sonic, Extreme Deluxe, Fearless Blue, Daredevil Aero, and owner Xavier Reckless, are the most popular yardies in the country. Stats * Opened: March 2003 * Location: Los Angeles, California * Money: $10,000 * Popularity: 10% (Southwest) 5% (Rest of America, except for Puerto Rico and Hawaii) * Home Venue: Xavier's Backyard * Premier Event: XDW Danger Zone (Saturday, Week 3, March) Champions XDW Danger Champion: Xavier Reckless (3) (Since November 2006) XDW Tag Team Champions: Redneck Rage (Fearless Blue & Super Sonic) (3) (Since August 2006) XDW Aerial Assault Champion: Austin Hill (Since April 2006) Roster * Austin Hill * Dangerous DJ * Daredevil Aero * Extreme Deluxe * Fearless Blue * Lee Bambino (Booker) (Announcer) * Mr. Reckless (Referee) (Road Agent) * Orlando Michaels * Sammy Sensation * Super Sonic * Surfer J * Surfer S * Valerie Capes (Manager) * Xavier Reckless (Owner) Over the next set of posts, we'll be discussing the worker's themselves. The next post (September 7, 2019) will discuss the dangerous five and Lee Bambino.
  14. Something I want to add real quick, do you think you'll add celebrities to the database to debut sometime in the future? Would be nice to see a CVerse Andy Kaufman or Mr T.
  15. Meanwhile, a worker will appear on radio shows or an internet poll will occur everyday. Lol. Do you plan on converting the mod to TEW 2020, since no mentions of technology before they were invented will be one of the improvements?
  16. Work has admittedly slacked off on the mod over the last few months, but no longer. Starting September 1st, I'll go hard to work on the mod, and will hopefully get it finished by the end of November. To summarize what's currently made, there are 2 teams, 3 companies, 32 workers, 2 events, 1 location, 4 titles, and 2 narratives. I sincerely want to make this mod great, so that people can enjoy playing the backyard wrestling scene in the CVerse in 2007, even if TEW isn't meant to simulate local indie companies, let alone backyard federations. The next entry will be on September 5th, followed by an entry every two days afterwards.
  17. Promos USPW experienced a shake-up in March 2019. At the start of the month, Phil Vibert was hired and was made the new head booker of USPW. A long-time personality in pro wrestling, Vibert has built up a reputation of being a creative genius and one of the best managers in the history of pro wrestling, having turned DAVE into one of the major companies, then going north to book CGC and try to save the company. After leaving the company he went on a hiatus for five years until returning as the booker and a manager for USPW. His first hire would be Bulldozer Brandon Smith, who he booked to win the USPW National Championship from Roger Cage in his debut match. After winning the belt, Vibert made his first appearance in a wrestling ring in five years, and to the shock of fans, Marat Khoklov and USPW World Champion Steve Frehley were walking out beside him. Vibert then cut this promo to the fans, introducing the stable known as Destruction. Vibert stands in the ring for several seconds, with Khoklov and Frehley at his side, looking at Smith in front of them, with Roger Cage between them. Smith then stepped over Cage and shook hands with Vibert "I'm baccccck. You kids in the audience may not know who I am, but I assure you some of the adults do. Ask your parents who I am. They'll tell you that I was the man behind the machine that was DAVE. Danger And Violence Extreme. But I'm not here to talk about a dead company. I'm here to talk about why I am now in USPW." "I'm here because USPW knows that I am the best executive consultant in the business. My clients have all gone on to do big things. And now, I'm going to be running USPW through these three men. The Russian Menace Marat Khoklov, the USPW World Champion Steve Frehley, AND YOUR NEWWWW, USPW National CHAMPIONNNN, BULLDOZER BRANDON SMITTTTH!" "These three men are going to be the biggest beasts in all of USPW. We will destroy all of your so-called heroes. James Justice, Rick Law, Jim Force, and most importantly, your six time USPW World Champion, Nicky Champion. We'll destroy all of them, and make good on the name "Destruction". I've got two champions in this company under my guidance, and soon Destruction will contain each championship in this company." "So kids, you better get ready. Because we don't care about the family friendly image this company tries to maintain. We don't care who your favorite wrestler is. We don't care that you don't like us because we're mean. Every time we're in a ring, things aren't gonna be very PG, when your heroes are lying in a pool of their own blood, because we destroyed them. And if you don't like that, then don't bother watching. Because we're gonna be dominating your TV screen, every single week."
  18. I see the Stones as the Hart Family. I'm only thinking that because they're a large Canadian family, who are some of the best wrestlers in the world. I think Edd will be back in Canada in 2020. Perhaps Duane Stone retires just as David Stone debuts to take the ropes. Edd returns in order to team with his nephew. Perhaps another Stone will debut (not Lucy Stone-McFly). Maybe Duane will have a son of his own debut.
  19. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="FINisher" data-cite="FINisher" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46550" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>All I'm hoping is that WEXXV will be atleast Cult level. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> And yeah, I'd like a hardcore promotion in the US to do well aswell. I always played with DAVE from the get-go so I'd welcome a new well-to-do hardcore promotion in the states.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Why not just have PSW and IPW merge to form the new DAVE?</p>
  20. I mean, there's a reason it's called the TEW 2020 Discussion Thread. Plenty of other threads to use for posting anything else that relates to wrestling. Plus, I'd rather not have a long debate clog up the pages on this thread.
  21. Interesting things with the fill-in-the-blank gimmick selection and the intro screen. Perhaps you could solve the problem of inspiration by having an on/off button for gimmicks. When it's off, users get the write in box, and when it's on they can pick from a list of gimmicks like it is now.
  22. So, I've tried skills editing, and I can't do it to save my live. I've fine-tuned and fine-tuned it again, but it just doesn't work out, and the people I edit end up either be to strong or to weak. Therefore, I have to push the release of the 2020 mod back to the release date of TEW 2020. I had hoped that I could release it sometime before, and take advantage of the extended time until the game's release, so that this mod could be a temporary substitute. However, it seems that I will wait until TEW 2020 comes out, so I can use the auto-ager to change everyone's skills. Instead, I will continue my work on the RecklessVerse, try to get a release date set, and do that instead until then. The RecklessVerse will release on TEW 2016, and since almost everyone is custom made, skill editing won't have to be a thing I concern myself with. More promos coming soon.
  23. Promos At TCW The War To Settle The Score 2016, Ricky Dale Johnson would face off against Bryan Vessey in a filler match. After a long 15 minute battle, Ricky looked to have everything wrapped up. RDJ would hit Vessey with the Southern Justice, but as he went for the pinfall, he was pulled out of by Jay Chord. Chord, waiting with a chair, planted RDJ with it and the match ended in a DQ win for RDJ. A beatdown took place, but RDJ finally got the advantage when he moved out of the way of Chord running towards him to hit his head against the steel stairs, resulting in Chord hitting his knee on the stairs. RDJ took control of the fight, ending it with a Leaping Lariat. Two nights later on the first Total Wrestling of March 2016, RDJ called out Chord, and demanded an explanation. "You fans probably know why I'm out here tonight. I'm out here for the same reason as all of you. I want to know why Jay Chord attacked me and cost me a clean win. So Jay, come on out here, and give us that reason." Jay Chord enters and stands on the stage "Ricky, you actually have no idea why I attacked you? Why I nearly beat you and cost you a "clean" victory?" Doesn't the name Chord ring a bell in that big Texan head of yours?" "Your last name? You mean your family name. What did I ever do to your family?" Jay begins walking down to the ring "You didn't do anything to my family. You retired my father. Ten years ago you retired my father and he left the company. My father was the best athlete in the world! He was better than you! He was better than Sam Strong! He is the most legendary wrestler in history, and you decided to just end his career prematurely." "Now hold your horses Jay, your father was a shell of his former se-" "Don't you DISRESPECT my father's name! He made this company into what it is today. He's the reason you're standing in that ring. If it wasn't for him, TCW wouldn't exist." "What do you want Jay? Want me to apologize to your father for carrying him the best match of his career?" Jay gets into the ring, and stands in front of RDJ, who looks quite a bit taller than him at this angle "What I want is revenge. And I want that revenge on the biggest stage in wrestling, Total Mayhem twenty. I want a match with you, and I want your career on the line." "Well Jay, unlike your father, who was in his 50s, I'm in my mid 40s, and still have a few years left in m-" Jay low-blows Ricky, and viciously assaults him, hitting him with a chair multiple times over RDJ's back "If you won't put your career on the line, then I promise that I will make you suffer every second until you do. But first, I'm gonna beat all of the old guys in this company to show you what'll happen to you. Bryan Vessey, Joel Bryant, Brent HIll, and anybody else who's 40 or over is going to fall to me, and then I'm coming for you. At Total Mayhem, I will end up your career RDJ, and you will know what it feels like to be retired"
  24. From what I'd heard, No Man's Sky had a poor reception because it wasn't as people expected. The developers lied during development and made people think the game would have things like great multiplayer where you'd run into other people around the galaxy, and that the universe would be infinite and it'd be impossible to complete the game.
